Multi-Muramasa Menagerie [Open, Kao, (Iza?), ??]

So, it had finally come to pass. For the first time in...ever...Kirigakure shinobi were present and lively in Iwagakure. An annoying, troubling journey was the one that had brought Maido and her ensemble of merry Muramasa's to the rock village. All in good fun and relations, of course. An alliance between the Mist and the Rock had been formed. Festivities has been had. Taints had been tickled. Virgins had been sacrificed. It had culminated into this. After a few days of rest, Maido had been escorted back to the dock on the edge of the continent, where she had met up with her better halves.

The three of them, the merry bunch that they were, had quite a bit of catching up to do, and Maido had all but been in a Coma for the last few days. Her interactions with the general populace of humankind and been essentially...nothing. She had overexerted herself and paid the price. For the first time, in a long time, she rested well. Now, it was time for new things to transpire. Maido, Hisayo, and Kayoko, the three of them found themselves together for the first time in weeks. In a strange and bizarre location, far away from what they typically called home. A room in an inn, within the village, the three of them had shared. They were well guarded. For now, they were always watched. Iwagakure escort shinobi were assigned to keep an eye on them. Shinjiro, no doubt, found himself in the same boat. Now, however, Maido thought it appropriate that they scout out Kotaru and check in on Shinjiro. She hadn't ignored them by choice, necessarily, but she had been rather detained for certain and needed the rest.

Feeling refreshed, she and her cohorts got dressed in rather casual attire. Matching outfits, in fact. The lone differences in their appearance was their eye color, and a bit of height. The three of them left their little rented room at the inn and set out into the streets of Iwagakure. It was not yet even dawn, by the looks of it. "Hmm. We should probably find Kotaru." Maido mused to the others. Hisayo agreed, though Kayoko piped up, "Or...we could go find some moron and have a little fun?" Maido shot her a concerned look. "That...does sound fun...but no. Let's not cause any trouble." The Iwagakure shinobi assigned to watch them appeared a little unnerved. What fresh hell might the three of them get into today?

The young Kiri swordsman had felt oddly protective of Maido during her days of rest. He had been put up in a hotel, the room next to Maido in fact though he hadn't ventured outside of the building yet. His clothes he washed at least three times, managing to get most of the blood stains out, his weapons likewise cleaned and kept in good care. Often he would check in on the blood Bannin, spending the majority of the night as a literal fly on the wall.

He was distrustful by nature and with Iwagakure shinobi keeping a close eye on them he wanted to ensure she wasn't left alone until she properly recovered her chakra reserves. After the first day or two he would take more time to rest and exercise himself, keeping himself in top condition. And when Maido had left to go pick up her companions Shinji had opted to walk around the village a little, just enough to get his barings on the basic layout of the village.

Shortly after Maido had returned to the hotel alongside her companions the trio had set out to go about the town. Attentive as always Shinjiro had heard them leaving the room, getting dressed himself in his full attire, hood up and cloth mask tied over his mouth and nose. Setting out after them he moved swiftly and with the utmost silence. The Iwagakure shinobi that pursued them unnerved him somewhat. He was notorious for disliking being followed and had often slipped away from Genma handlers that had been assigned to him when he was a Chunin. For a full year however he had been free of such a burden.

Perhaps spending some time with Maido and those others would distract him from that annoyance. Catching up to them quickly he would appear alongside the group, faster than all but Hisayo could percieve. The symbols of Kirigakure, and the Karagata sewn onto the padded shoulders of his jacket as well as the symbol of the Seven Swordsmen on his chest would make it apparent who he was. Obvious to anyone from Kirigakure. "You seem to have multiplied" he commented dryly before glancing over at the trio. There were enough differences to discern between them though the similarities were striking.

The trio of carnage were admittedly uncertain as to what exactly they should do. They had risen quite early, truth be told. It was still dark out, the moon being quite visible up above. Lights were about in the streets though and they weren't the only ones stirring about at this hour. Indeed, even Shinjiro was up, though Maido mused that was likely due to his restlessness about being in a foreign village and cooped up in an inn for a day or two. She would do her best to make it up to him, one way or another. But for now, they needed to find something to do. It would be terrible for everyone if Maido were to grow bored, surely. Hisayo was the first to notice Shinjiro's approach once they were outside however, and turned to look towards him.

Hisayo analyzed him, her mind processing the multitude of information that she took in from him from just a glance. Before he even spoke, she had deduced a great many things about him. Karagata, Seven Swordsmen. Hmm. She wondered why Kayoko had never considered joining the Seven Swordsmen. No matter, she supposed. It was hard to gain any discerning information about his physical appearance, being that he was armed to the teeth and covered up quite well. She deduced that he was decorated for appearances, since she supposed the chance of him actually needing the multitude of equipment he had donned was rather slim. She too, had considered going all out, being in that they were in another shinobi village than the one which they called home, but Maido had instructed for casual attire. Were there to be a necessity for it, they could change. For now, they would remain casually dressed. All of these thoughts races through Hisayo's mind before Shinjiro had even arrived to the group of them. Before Maido and Kayoko had even had time to register the fact that Shinjiro was outside with them, Hisayo had processed all of this.

It was a moment before Maido and Kayoko noticed Hisayo wasn't paying attention to them and they too turned towards Shinjiro now. Maido spoke first, supposing to herself that she should formally introduce the lot of them to each other. "Ah, Shinjiro, glad you could join us." She gestured towards the other two before she spoke again. "Ladies, this is Karagata, Shinjiro. I suspect he is to be a great ally of ours after the rather trifling journey we took to arrive her." Her voice was graceful and soft, much different when she had last spoken in front of Shinjiro, when she had been so exhausted she had quite literally collapsed. "Shinjiro, these are Muramasa Hisayo and Kiyako." As she said their names, the both of them gave a smile and a nod towards him, each extending a hand, though if he moved to shake he would find that they grasped his forearm, rather than his hand. It would cause him to have to do the same. They applied no pressure, it was merely a different style greeting. As they did, they would make eye contact with him. Hisayo's face displayed a gentle smile and an air of calmness, though Kayoko's smile seemed a bit more twisted. No necessarily sinister, but her eyes were open a tad wider, as though she was incredibly excited. Manic, even. Kayoko spoke up after the introductions. "So then, what's the agenda for the day?" She began walking aimlessly down the road, Hisayo and Maido not far behind her. Her voice was noteably deeper than Maido's, but not by much. When she spoke, it seemed hurried, as though she were anxious.

Hisayo responded, a calm reproach, "Well it is rather early in the day, perhaps we could get orient ourselves with the village a bit. Learn the layout of the roads, then hit up the market section? I imagine the village officials will want to meet with us at some point." That was a good point, mused Maido and Kayoko. "I wonder if there are any tiny little rinky-dink missions we could do around the village to help out, or perhaps we could do some intervillage training." Maido added.

Shinjiro eyed the one girl, Hisayo curiously. He noted the way she had turned to look at him while he was still moving toward the group, to be able to percieve his speed and stealth was remarkable. Though he hadn't been moving at his top speed nor putting in the most effort he could have to approach undetected it was still indicative of a sharp mind and processing ability.

He then looked to Maido, pleased to see that she seemed to be feeling much more energetic and well rested. He would smile beneath his mask, his vibrant green eyes warming somewhat before he was properly introduced to the pair of newcomers. He would grasp each of their forearms as they led into the greeting, Hisayo first then Kiyako. It was a type of greeting not uncommon among warriors and those from battle hardened families. Interestingly each of the four were born into high standing families. Main members of the Muramasa and Shinjiro of the Karagata. Their houses were each old with storied histories, though of the main 5 families of Kirigakure it was the Muramasa that tended to have the best relationship with the Karagata. He was pleased to carry on that tradition.

Of the two Hisayo intrigued Shinjiro greatly whereas Kayoko unnerved him, she reminded him of the rumours he used to hear about Maido, the unhinged and bloodthirsty massacres she would indulge in. "Are you two sisters then?" He wondered, some part of him felt that they might even be clones of Maido. If anyone was capable of such a thing it would be her. Had she even went as far as splitting her personality between them? Such a thought was disturbing, he would have to tread carefully with Kayoko especially until he could be sure.

The young assassin watched Hisayo for a moment as she walked ahead though he turned his head toward Hisayo and smiled widely at her comments. This one seemed very similar to himself in demeanor and thought process. Practical, calm and perceptive. "I scouted the village yesterday" he mentioned casually though in a friendly tone as he pulled out a folded piece of paper from a pouch at his lower back. Handing it to the young woman with the slight yellow hue to her eyes she would see a detailed layout of the village drawn from an aerial view, it would include the main streets, the location of the hotel they stayed as well as some of the larger and noteworthy structures.

While Shinji wasn't particularly keen on meeting with village officials he understood the necessity. He wasn't much for diplomacy and would hope to leave most of that to Maido. The mention of missions however excited him. "If we can train with some of their Jounin or Bannin, show them what we can do then hopefully they'll let us join them on some proper missions. A place like this, they must have some strong adversaries for us to kill" he considered excitedly. He was getting rather restless being cooped up for days and wished to get back to doing what he did best.

Maido was lost in her own thoughts. Now that was actually in Iwagakure, she didn't really know what to do with herself. What purpose would she serve here? She supposed it might be nice to train some younger minds. In fact, she decided that would likely be a splendid way to spend some of her time. She would easily be able to convince Hisayo and Kayoko to accompany her in the matter. For now, however, she was growing bored. A tad restless. Kayoko too, after having nothing eventful happen during her travel to the mainland, was growing bored. Things tended not to get pretty when Maido and Kayoko were bored separately, let alone together. Fortunately, Hisayo would be there to keep the two of them in check.

At Shinjiro's question, Maido let out an audible chuckle as did Hisayo, but Kayoko's brow furrowed. "No, what ever would give you that idea?" She replied. She glared at Shinjiro, but Hisayo jabbed her in the ribs. "No need for the death glare, Kayoko-chan," Hisayo had teased. Kayoko stuck her tongue out in response before a surge of chakra rifled throughout her body. "I'm bored, wake me up when we're doing something entertaining." Suddenly, her body shifted and changed in composition, warping into that of a sword. It appeared to be made of stone, yet the coloration of katon and raiton chakra blistered about it until the jutsu completed. By the end of it, Hisayo was holding the handle of what appeared to be Kayoko, turned into a rather hefty looking sword. The eyes of both of the Shinobi escorts went very wide. One of them's mouth dropped. The reactions were always amusing to Maido and her underlings, admittedly.

"Very well." Maido piped up as Kayoko went silent. "Probably for the best, she gets...dangerous when she's bored." Maido added. Hisayo gazed over Shinjiro's map and analyzed it in excruciating detail. She seared it into her mind, visualizing the layout in her mind's eye as she gazed back down the street. Perfect. The young Karagata was quite useful already, it would seem. "Impressive." She let out as she turned back to the map. "Some training would be nice, actually. I'm sure we could all learn a thing or two, likely impart a bit of wisdom ourselves." Maroon chakra suddenly imbued Maido's eyes. In a way, it appeared as though her eyes were spitting out small maroon flames. She looked around for a bit, staring at Shinjiro before staring towards the ground underneath the lot of them. Her hand reached out to touch Hisayo, her other hand to touch Shinjiro. In doing so, the group of the four them would would be able to communicate mentally, for so long as the contact remained.

Internally, Maido mused to the rest of them. "I thought I had overheard something in the inn earlier, but I wanted to confirm....I am getting a faint signature of spirits in the ground here. That may be worth checking out at some point." Hisayo had the following to add: "Interesting, we should probably head to the Kirigakure Embassy in the mean time. I believe it was in the Eastern District. Though, even with a map, it's hard to know exactly what separates the districts, I suppose." "Good idea." After waiting to hear any response from Shinjiro, Maido removed her hand from Hisayo and Shinjiro.

Maido reached for the Kayoko-turned-sword. Hisayo shrugged and began to and it to her when Maido suddenly had an idea. "No, no...Wouldn't it be much funnier if she woke up in Shinjiro's pocket?" Hisayo chuckled but handed Kayoko to Maido anyway. "That might be a tad too mean, she's already grumpy after all." Hisayo then spoke to the escorts. "Which way is the Eastern District?" After their response, they would begin in that direction.

Multi-Muramasa Menagerie [Open, Kao, (Iza?), ??]

Post by Izanagi » Tue Nov 19, 2019 12:00 am

The young swordsman tilted his head slightly, was that really such an unusual thought? Just how many members of the main Muramasa family were there? In the Karagata there were only about two dozen, five households in total. It seemed either they were messing with him or they were cousins that just happened to look remarkably similar to one another. “Yeah, you’re right you two look nothing alike” he muttered, sarcastic and a little petulant. The young Jinchuuriki’s lime green eyes lit up as the amber eyed woman glared at him. “Ohh, you know you’re a little scary” he commented playfully, his own eyes hardening in intensity as his posture shifted, the confidence of an alpha predator and experienced killer radiating softly from him. Though her vague aura of instability was somewhat unsettling Shinjiro was still a young man who reveled in a challenge and was notoriously difficult to truly frighten, perhaps the only person actually able to achieve such a thing was Maido herself though such fears had abated significantly to the point where he felt comfortable around her now for the most part.

This intensity slipped away as quickly as it manifested as he shifted to a more relaxed posture, hands in his pockets as Hisayo lightened the mood. He smiled beneath his mask, reflected in his vibrant eyes. His expression lightened further, eyes widening in fascination as Kayoko transformed. “Woah! So cool” he marveled childishly. He found himself wishing to wield the sword and test her strength in this form. It was certainly a useful and unique ability, ‘I wonder what her role is’ he considered, looking to Hisayo. She was certainly the most perceptive, naturally fast reactions. He recalled the way Maido had possessed him before as well as the relative weakness of Maido’s physical capabilities, ‘A host then to wield Kayoko with, enhanced by Maido’s Chiton techniques’ he assessed almost instantly. His own mind was rather sharp, easily able to gauge the strength of his opponents and the dangers they might pose to him. It was a combination he wouldn’t want to fight seriously, though a spar could be interesting.

Shinji frowned as he looked to the pair of Iwagakure guides, neither of them seemed particularly interesting, Jounin likely but the muscular and dutiful types it seemed. Still, he wouldn’t mind seeing what they were capable of though he surmised it was probably best not to challenge them to a fight before even attempting to socialize and take in the village a little. The teenage Karagata had to hold back a comment as Maido spoke of Kayoko getting dangerous. ‘Don’t we all?’ he thought. He didn’t want to unnerve the Iwagakure shinobi much further. Surely they had been briefed on the skill level of these Kiri visitors, including the fact that Shinjiro had a Phantom Beast sealed within him, a spirit that had a certain distaste for humans, shinobi in particular. Fortunately, Vorashu was well sated from the journey here or at least it seemed that to be the case thus far.

The cloaked assassin nodded gracefully when Hisayo praised his map, he was well used to scouting, memorizing and replicating topography, recon being one of his many skillsets. The young man reached up casually behind his head, arching his back, stretching at the thought of training. “I get restless if I don’t train every day, don’t care as much about teaching others, but I wouldn’t mind seeing more of what you and Kayoko can do. Figure we’ll be working together often” he stated simply, it was important to know how much they could handle and also learn how well Maido could utilize them, if they could fight in tandem in close quarters and perfect their coordination then there would likely be very few who could stand against them. Shinji noticed when Maido’s eyes flared up and suddenly his own alertness was raised though he would remain outwardly casual, sensing that it was a matter she wished to be discreet about. The woman touched his arm and suddenly her voice was in his head. “Neat trick” he commented within their shared link, falling quiet as he listened to her talk of spirits underground. “If there are spirits to fight we won't have to hold back as much” he mused, that was even better than training with the locals.

It seemed the first stop however would be the Kirigakure embassy, likely a relatively small building given that the four of them were the first Kirigakure shinobi to set foot in Iwa. He certainly hadn’t seen anything like that when he had scouted the village the day prior, though he hadn’t been explicitly looking for such a thing, rather focusing on landmarks and streets. The link would be broken and soon they would be on their way east. Before that however Shinjiro chuckled lightly at the prospect of holding on to Kayoko in her weapon form, “I wouldn’t mind getting a feel for how she handles” he commented cheekily, of course, he primarily meant in her sword form though he couldn’t deny that he found each of the women attractive as well. Heading on their way and guided by the pair of Iwagakure shinobi the group would soon find themselves at the impromptu embassy which would likely also serve as a office for coordinating joint Iwagakure and Kirigakure missions. Shinji would enter the building first, followed by the trio of women as he quickly scanned the room.
