"Winter is coming-
It is time to wake, blood witch
autumn dance may wait"
Buried in the snow, Maido has slumbered. Honing her self zen. What was she? Over the course of her life she had been called many different things. Was she the devil? Not likely. Was she one of them? Quite likely. Who was to say? Anything is real if you belief enough, right? The Eldest Muramasa stirred. The world was cold here. The world was quiet here. How had it come to pass that she was both horrible and benevolent? Malevolent yet irrelevant. Finding rhyme within my life, even when its fillled with strife. Utterly gutturally despicable, her snow hair blended in sunlight. Nobility? A concept for certain. Her name meant little to her. The fact her family came from the eldest meant nothing to her. The old money, the old ways, the old religions? Maido cared not for money. Had she an allegiance? Perhaps. To Kirigakure no Sato? Who was to say. So far her goals had aligned ominously with that of the village. An influencer? Most certainly. Was Mizukage a role she had wanted to assume? Only as a last resort. She hoped she would never have to save Yami Kasai. He was one of the only humans on this planet that she deemed to be a good soul. Far and few between, Maido didn't care much for the rest of humanity. Simultaneously a lone wolf yet also the red hood, it was no secret that Maido could turn invisible. For months she would merely cease to exist. An extra heart there, and extra heart here. How had this come to pass? The only difference between love and war is that which kills you first. Who's to say that they are okay? She had not heard from many of them in a while. Karagata Shiv, missing in action? She had had no radio contact with him for months.

She hoped that he was okay. He too was quite the good soul. She found interaction with him to be quite therapeutic, in a sense of the word. It helped her mind to interact with him. A few hundred years imprisoned would do that, one could suppose. My, how her mind had been snapped. A sense of frailty, yet sturdy as ever. She uncurled from hibernation. A deep slumber, the fire of autumn rumbled in her hearts. Scalding water, it roiled through her cores. A pelt and lacquer armor obscured her skin. Her cousins, too, had done so with her. Always watching, they meditated in shifts. With the way they lived, they had no need to sleep. Or breathe. One of the three of them was always watching. Two of them didn't require sleep whatsoever. Nor breathing. Nor blood. Nor food. Merely companionship. A project to keep the mind sharp. One for money, one for the mind, one for the soul, one for the heart. All for the balance. They did not work for money. The goal was to be self sustaining. To help brothers and sisters. It didn't matter to the three of them how many people they had killed, only that they got along with those that are were still living. The elements ran through their breath. In a balance, they found peace. Like the waters, the trio of them were a cycle. One in sword form, one in human, one in cloak. The three were considered harmless. To many, that was amusing. That was the glory of it, supposedly. Maido and her innermost circle were not in it for glory. They were in it for goal. The goal was to have peace in their time. Being a few hundred years old certainly drew ire to the fact that time is...well...time. Death could still come at any moment. Was Maido the only one that had fragmented her heart? How many lives had she taken? Water. Black water. The oceans had, at one point in time, literally ran red with the blood Maido had spilled. A section of it recently most certainly did. Her and Vorashu's host had done such a number on that astonishingly large group of pirates. She had known humans to have repopulated by quite a bit now compared to her youth but over two hundred pirates teleporting in like that? Phenomenal.

The five of them slaughtered all of them like fleas. Vorashu, Shinjiro, Hisayo, Kayoko, Maido. In perfect synergy, they had resonated their souls and vanquished over two hundred enemies in mere seconds. An ambush against Maido and Shinjiro having gone horribly wrong. She recalled it quite well, since it had only been a few days. Time was an illusion to Maido. When had they accomplished this? It didn't matter. What of Kotaru? She hadn't heard from him in a while. Hideki too, missing in action. The three of them stood, buried deep in the snow. For 8 hours the human of them slept. The other two conversed. Protecting the human with the red cloak and four sets of eyes, a red mist lingered out a four hundred meter length in every direction. Within it, the three of them could sense and be alerted to anything and everything had moved. Did it have chakra? They would know. How fast? They would know. How strong? They would know. Trained in chakra? They would know. What was their affinity? They would know. How many different elements did they have? They would know. Were they skilled in genjutsu, or iijutsu? Or perhaps a fusion? A super? An extension? They would know. Were they malevolent or benevolent? They would know. Were they a real human? A puppet? A corpse? A ghost? A spirit? Another animal? A core? An elemental? A kage level signifance? They would know. It was no secret that Maido only spoke to anyone she had deemed to be of a potential Kage level aptitude. The other two however that traveled with her at all times spoke freely at their own leisure. It wasn't anything personal, it was just a solemn oath she had personally sworn to. It hadn't been broken in centuries. Anything that entered the mist whatsoever would immediately have informed them. They reported it all, appropriately. An instaneous debriefing. The cerberus woke. Down the road of Iwagakure, the human walked. Black lace dress, glowing red eyes, a blood ruby and platinum necklace. Snow hair flowed. A white snowflake tattoo, brazened on chest.

It was black knight. Underground. Iwagakure. They had come from above, a warm meditation above the village. High on the highest mountain top in all of Rock Country. The three had rotated. The human slept for 8 hours, then woke for 16. But Maido and the other never slept at all. Not for centuries for one of them. The red mist had ensured their safety at all times. Anyone that had ever come into 400 meters of her had been offered her protection. It was not something she took lightly. She wouldn't even sleep within 20 meters of someone unless she trusted them with her life. When she was human, that is. War had changed her, for sure. Shinobi these days had seen some crazy things for sure. Dawn would be happening soon, if the village hadn't been underground. The three of them walked the roads, chipper and conversing, entirely silently. Floating above the ground, not touching a thing, not making a sound, three of them communicated without speaking. Perhaps they should find a new violin. Was it a metaphor? Yes and no. They could use a new boy toy. Or a girlfriend. Though, to be fair, a literal violin would be just as well. Wooden, preferably. Still they floated, down the road. Some were stirring. Some were coming out of their houses. They wondered if anyone from Kirigakure had arrived in Iwa yet. How was the war going? They didn't care. Noone had dared ask the three of them yet. They had been on standby. Watching over Vorashu's shoulder. They were the only people capable of both annihilating a jinchuuriki, a village, a kage, or even just a puppet or generally a life of any sort, with the snap of their fingers. A combination of old techniques known only by word of mouth, no records of theme existed except within Maido's mind. Few people knew that, even fewer even knew Maido existed. Still, she had been much more outgoing as of lately.

Training? Mentoring? These were not new concepts to the eldest Muramasa and her crew. As she taught, so she would learn. That was the way of mentorship. A teacher must always be a student. A student should ideally, be a teacher. Muramasa, Maido and her copilots spread out in a huddle. Separated from each other, they conversed mentally. A series of fuuinjutsu, blood produced by Maido. A link that bound them all together. So Maido would exist within another's body, she would provide support. Her students asked her to teach them Iijutsu, and so learn iijutsu they would. But Maido too, was still relearning knowledge. Knowledge buried deep within her mind. Her hands shot out, a long red talon piercing through her fingertips. Behind it, blood. It trailed through the air, carrying a sigil. Written in scarlet, it was viscous and thick in appearance. It glowed ever so faintly, ensuring its visibility. It's meaning was simple. A gesture through the air, words displayed clearly.

:chiton: Hello.

It mattered not whether she had a surface. Maido was a skilled practitioner once before. She saw no reason she couldn't become so again. Knowledge forgotten, but remembered anew. Her claw pierced the veil, tearing at her soul and pouring out blood and chakra. Sigils and glyphs, words, music notes, poems, seals, whatever she desired. In red. Yet, equal parts in black. Like a spool of wire of two shades, entertwined and woven. A third strand as well, the lightest of blues. Ninpou chakra, Chiton chakra, and Fuuinjutsu chakra. A strand of each, assembled in perfect balance. Seals perhaps only Maido even knew. She would teach. The old jutsu were all stored in her head somewhere. One need only search hard enough. Good luck though, we all know how shattered she is. Her arm soared. Blood letters ran sanguine. In it all, she found herself enlightened. She was beginning to remember. The dark arts of fuuinjutsu. Certain things were better left not taught to those that weren't ready, that much she was for certain. Still, she only ever wanted everyone to know that the sky is the limit, and their was no limit to what they could accomplish. She stared at her handiwork, as did her companions.

:chiton: Hope.

Still though, she continued to write. This time another twirl. A twist of words. Her three colors engrained together to roar the mountains. In it, a flower. Black, White, and Blue. Yet a hint of iridescence, for it appeared the blackest of all midnight oils. Charcoal brick when dried, devoid of light. In the moon, a slight white shimmer. It's grayness shimmered like smoke. Akin to a blue mist. The red too, and the green. All manner of colors in smoke and mist. A true marvel to behold, whilst being created. The process was said to be painful, but Maido always found it most tolerable. A tattoo of magical nature, who would possibly be against such a feat? Charged with chakra, the seal lingered. A black lotus tattoo, formed in the air. Maido gazed upon her work, her expression blank. She waved her arm again, producing a few more. In the air they did linger, and Maido guided them to their recipients. A standing offer, a gift from Maido. Baring the Black Lotus tattoo was not something to be taken lightly. With it, you took part of Maido's soul. It would become the most black of ink. But it was her calling card. If someone wanted to ask her for help, all they had to do was think it. It was one way. Maido's ears only. For others attached to her to hear it, would be only with her permission. One went onto her students, Hisayo, Kayoko, and Aigo. One went onto each of their cores. One over the human's chest. Others received a snowflake tattoo. Some were white, some were black. In every case, Maido's condition was the same. It was more than a tattoo, it was a lifeline. In exchange for working, Maido did not ask for money. She instead asked for the work. By practicing as a mentor, she too would learn much as a student. She ebbed her chakra into it. Would any of the locals wish to join her? She wondered aloud. She accepted students from all walks of life. Village alignments meant nothing to her, and as a result, it would mean nothing to her followers. If they chose to align with a village, that was fine. It meant nothing to her either way. What was important was not where one was from, but rather that they still got along with those that are living. This was the way Maido would lead her life. That is what she would speak to anyone that met her on that day. She was looking to help lost souls. Anyone in need, she was there to help. Orphans? Adopted. Students? Tutored. Animals? Rescued. Spirits? Pacified.

A small girl ran by, Maido knew her not. Raven hair danced past her view. Complexion? Mattered not. All life was sacred in Maido's eyes. The taking of a life was not something to do lightly. Her composure snapped. Her human was the first to react. Their hand darted upwards, a lightning flash of paleness in the early dusk of the day. Orphans ran the streets. Children ran the street. The day was beginning to stir, and Autumn time festivities would soon begin. A great camping journey, Maido would lead the way. Into the heart of the tunnels of Iwa, out onto the mountain. A great war beast of blood, come home to her children. She waited for a time being, and flashed them a smile. The Muramasa trio each waved in kind.

:chiton: "Hello there, young ones. Where are your parents?"

They didn't have parents, as it turned out. Maido's supposedly human heart ached. Well, she would be their caretaker now. So long as the authorities not object. A lone wolf, seeking comfort. In helping others, she found a purpose in life. A small wolf of sorts, a good little puppy. Mottled in black and white, a mutt of a thing. In its eyes, a warrior. Maido spoke, though only the animal before her could even hear. An animal? A spirit? Indeed. The creature before her was most scared indeed, but warmed up quickly to the sound of Maido's voice. Though noone else heard it, the dog most certainly did. It carried with itself a hunger, one Maido knew all too well. A good companion, Maido thought. She reached down and picked her up by the scruff. A wolf of black and white, a most odd of lineage. Currently small, she thought it likely a few weeks at most.

:chiton: "This one has the eyes of a queen."

Maido's cousins looked at her in amazement. It wasn't something they had ever heard her say in the many years they had traveled together. Maido's eyes glowed a maroon color as she gazed into the wolf's wildly colored eyes. Possessed...in a way. But not quite. A strange experiment gone wrong? Perhaps. Maido gazed upon the wolf and ran her diagnosis. Something was definitely awry here. Light green iijutsu coursed through her veins. It flew out from her hands and into the creature before her. Healing, slowly, the damage that had been done. Still too, the creature seemed pleased. The ceremony had already begun. Whatever had happened had been tragic. A malevolent spirit, haunting the grounds. A wolf cub lost. It's parents slain. Symbiotic life. Black, White, Blue.

Maido worked with precision. She was calm, calculated, and experienced. Her magic worked wonders immediately. All manner of crazy looking chakra spewed from her being and towards the animal. Hands made of lightning, she did her best work as she always had. Chakra circulated around the air, the morning mist present. She circled her arms around, causing maroon light to tendril. It tethered to the creature, and brought with it the light of morning peace. The darkness of night was past, and with the daylight came new hope. If Maido had her way, this wolf would never be fearful again. The spirit inhabitant too, had found itself peace. The eldest of the Muramasa looked down at her work. It had been successful, as she gathered it likely to be. Quite the show, for the nearby dwellings of Iwagakure, as it turned out. Had anyone been awake in the streets, they would have seen it all. Maido rescued a dying animal. Adopted it one the spot and healed it.

:doton: "It never ceases to amaze me that some people think you're a demon and not an angel," mentioned Hisayo.

Maido smiled.

:chiton: "I can be both."

Trained:

Charge Fuuinjutsu • Acidic Water Blood Spirit Mist Core Air Seal
D-Ranked Kaku Tenku Chiton Suiton Fuuton Kiriton Santon Fuuinjutsu
A truly unique move in that it can be used alongside other Fuuinjutsu, by channeling into their finger as they draw in the air directly in front of them, the user releases raw chakra that lingers for a small amount of time, allowing it to be used as a seal formula. Alternatively the user can also do hand seals and place their hands forward, causing a seal to burst to life in the air in front of them. This technique consumes chakra equal to the cost of the technique. This jutsu is the pinnacle of Air Sealing, requiring Maidos specific knowledge of chakra in order to perform.

Storage Fuuinjutsu • Acidic Water Blood Spirit Mist Core Air Seal Sealing Defense
D-Ranked Kaku Tenku Chiton Suiton Fuuton Kiriton Santon Fuuinjutsu
By having an empty surface with a seal formula placed on it, or otherwise producing a sigil by some method of appropriate size, the user is able to use the seal as a defensive measure. Holding a single, one-handed hand seal, the user attempts to block the incoming projectile with the surface. Right before contact is actually made, the projectile will be sealed into the seal. While strong, the seal must be the same size or larger than the projectile it is attempting to seal. This seal can protect up to the user’s [Control] in Strength. Once used to seal and then release again, the seal will need to be rewritten. The user can only seal objects up to their ([Control]*2)m^3 in size. If the material used to produce this was blood, it will be infused by the casters chakra permanently unless removed.

[Iijutsu • Cleanse Technique]
D-Ranked Kaku Tenku Chiton Suiton Fuuton Kiriton Santon IiFuuinjutsu
In the event that creating an antidote is not possible, users of this technique can still help their patient fight off toxins, infections and other foreign bodies. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. As this chakra flows into the body, the leukocytes will react to its presence and begin to multiply rapidly. This influx of white blood cells takes one (1) post of concentration to create. Over the course of five (5) posts, the new and old leukocytes are able to fight off poisons that are C-Rank and below that have entered the body. During these final five posts, the medical-nin does not need to continuously focus chakra into the patient. It will take care of itself at this point. If wanted, the user may store this Iijutsu into a fuuinjutsu to be activated by chakra kai.

Fuuinjutsu • Removal
D-Rank Acidic Water Blood Spirit Mist Core Air Seal Fuuinjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals or otherwise tracing a seal in a manner of their choice, the user will hold their hand over a seal, and begin to remove it. This removal will be successful as long as the user has more [Control] than that of which the Fuuinjutsu was sealed with. When removing the seal in this way, it is not required to be destroyed and will linger to be transferred to another medium, if the user chooses.

[Open] [Member Event: WarBeast of Blood] Winter is Coming, Maido's Fall Meditation

Yukari, Rei stirred. What was she to do? Train? That was admittedly beginning to grow quite dull. Ku yawned and Rei gave them a pet. "Who's my good little helper?" Stretching, the two of them rose from the ground. Training had been going quite well, admittedly. She continued to head up the mountain. She was seeking the supposed blood witch, the one that had come from the mists. She had seen a glimpse of her once, fighting a gargantuan spirit. Was Maido friend or foe? It was hard to tell. She caused others to see only what she wanted them to, that much Rei knew for certain. Brushing her wisps, the Iwagakure native trudged through the snow. A white crown and cloak, she was almost invisible in her natural environment. Angel strands blended into the light, obscured by flakes of ice and blight.

Gazing east, she saw it. A shroud of blood. A blanket of fog so impenetrably thick that it could be seen from space. Maido's area. A four hundred meter radius safe zone conjured by her at the flick of a wrist. As though she had been bored and merely wanted to entertain herself. How easily she had summoned it, Rei remembered. Everyone did. The day Maido entered the war, everything changed. Dozens upon dozens had immediately declared surrender. If Maido was their opponent, they wouldn't even try. Her name had been legendary. A scar in time. A rift in the magics that be. How old was she? Rei wondered. She had looked quite cute, in all honesty.

Rei made her way towards the mists, still a good ways off. Quite literally uphill in the snow, towards the highest mountain. That is where Maido had laid her claim here. Within her mist, she was the one true God. Uncontested, undefeated.

Rei muttered something incoherent to anyone but Ku and began to form seals with her hands. A blur enveloped her hands, and to anyone watching, she would appear to have continued to form signs with them. In reality, it was an illusion magick of her own creation. One of her favorites, in fact. She withdrew a blade, disguised in the shroud of her weather and spell. Next, more real hand seals, and in a shroud of snow, a second Yukari, Rei materialized. It ran forth, an illusory doppelganger of a rather basic degree. It ran into the mists, or at least appeared to.

"Ah, a genjutsu user, have we?"

Rei screamed. She hadn't sensed anyone's presence for kilometers. Where the hell had that voice come from? Why was it so loud? As though inside her very mind? Her yelp startled Ku, who responded in kind with a yelp of their own. She looked around, bewildered, as did her companion leech. "Come to me, Ku." Suddenly, Ku jumped out from Rei's cloak and latched onto her face. Inching upwards, they burrowed themself into Rei's right eye socket, taking the eyeball itself into its mouth in the process and wriggling throughout inside her. It used to be a painful process, truth be told. She had grown used to it, at this point.

Rei's hands moved swiftly and Ku vomited forwards a torrent of flames, straight from Rei's eyeball. It made contact with the mist, but was immediately swallowed up and extinguished so quicklly that Rei wasn't even sure she had cast the spell to begin with. "What the hell? Where are you?" She asked calmly.

Suddenly, a frail figure flew from out of the mist. White hair, black choker dress and black scythe. A plague doctor mask with glowing red eyes. Corpse skin, a blood scarf. Yup...This was definitely her. "Good morning you two. What can I do for you?"

Rei was admittedly surprised someone recognized that Ku was was their own individual. How interesting, yet simultaneously delightful, she mused to herself. Ku...purred? What an odd sensation to feel inside her skull. Ku rolled out from their owners head, making their way upwards to the crown and gazing upon Maido separately, a leech periscope.

"My friend is Ku, and I am Yukari, Rei, Iwagakure native. I wish to train with you."

"Muramasa, Maido. Do you wish me to act as your teacher, superior, or your harbinger?"

Rei stared blankly. This wasn't exactly what she had imagined. Maido removed her mask, revealing a young beautiful face. She had to be nineteen, perhaps twenty? Perhaps fifty? How the old was she? She looked young and...

Dead.

"Please, be my teacher."

"Show me what you're made of." Maido took an odd stance. Rei realized suddenly that Maido was not touching the ground and became immediately alarmed. She hadn't sensed her use any magic at all. How was she floating? She would have felt the wind moving had it been a fuuton spell. So what then was it that Maido was doing? An illusion?

Rei's open palm met with her fist and she bowed respectfully. Maido too, performed the same gesture in kindness. Afterwards, her off-hand went back to the shaft of her scythe. She tossed her plague mask into the air and sliced it clean in two with her own blade, looking quite bored as the mask suddenly vanished into a burst of red mist, rejoining the fog behind Maido. "Do you wish to fight within my realm or yours?"

"I am uncertain."

"Out of the mists it is then." Maido spoke.

"Do not enter that fog unless you need my protection or my reaping."

Rei gulped. What the hell did that mean? No matter. She threw forward a volley of knives, three in total. She chanted, forming seals in one hand whilst tossing with the other. Flames erupted outwards from the blades, engulfing them and sending them further down their trajected path. Carving through the air, the snow and fog around them dissipated from far away.

Maido flew through them.

"Excuse the fuck out of me?!" Rei yelled, suddenly jumping back. Red tendrils erupted outwards from Maido's chest, three in total. They each shot forth towards a knife and swallowed them whole, flame and all.

[Open] [Member Event: WarBeast of Blood] Winter is Coming, Maido's Fall Meditation

Post by Sia » Sat Oct 31, 2020 9:25 am

Rei's eyes locked onto Maido as she continued to backstep leap, tossing forward another volley of three knives. Had she seen that correctly? Had it been an illusion? Maidos advance wasn't slowed at all by her new barrage either. These too, were interrupted by a horde of red death that sprung forth from her tiny body. They oozed and dripped, dying the snow red below as Maido floated towards Rei at a steady pace. She didn't even attempt to move out of the way, Rei noted. She didn't need to, apparently. Rei's direct assault was easily read and their trajectories calculated, she knew to be true. So Maido had merely danced through them with a technique of her own, not a care about them in the world. "What are you?" Rei asked loudly, continuing to put distance between the two of them. She performed a seal, causing a needlessly large claymore to burst from her body. Measure at an impressive nine meters in length and serrated on both sides, she called it her katana breaker, for lack of a better name at the moment.

She took a defensive stance, revealing her true nature for the first time to Maido. A close quarters fighter at heart, Rei was at home in the snow of the mountains. The wilderness was her area, and here she was the apex hunter. Barbed greaves, spiked vambraces, and lacquer armor adorned her figure. In her right hand she wielded her monstrous sword, in the other, her shield. "Come at me then." Maido paused to admire the large sword. "What do you call that contraption? It looks most fascinating."

"Katanabreaker PT1"

Maido suddenly pivoted through the air, moving in a very un-human like fashion in a spiral towards the east. Had Rei not been a trained fighter, she wouldn't have realized it, but those movements were not capable of being performed by a human, and she recognized so immediately. "You...are not human, are you?" Rei asked after a moment of hesitation. Maido's right hand moved down the length of the shaft of her scythe and she chanted something foreign and incoherent to Rei's ears, which only alarmed Rei further. Suddenly, the blade in Maido's hand grew to a most astonishing length before collapsing onto itself. In mere seconds, it resembled Rei's own sword, except in color. Every other detail was copied flawlessly, in an instant. Too, Maido produced a shield of the exact appearance save for the color. "No...I am the current God of Life and Death."

A God?! Rei's eyes widened. Did such things really exist? To be fair...Maido of all people might certainly fit the description. She had mostly only heard stories from the Akari clan and from her Jounin mentor, but still...it was admittedly not too farfetched of an idea. "Give me your best, Yukari, Rei." Spoke this supposed God. Suddenly, her eyes changed a most vivid and wild cycle of colors. In her right, a golden wolf glow. In the left, an umbral recast of purple darkness. Perhaps she had not been joking, Rei mused to herself. If anyone was going to be capable of assisting Rei and being a good teacher, she supposed it may be a literal God. For a young one, Rei was far past the level of her peers. Perhaps this could be the beginning of a new age for her.

"Show me what you've got, little one."

Very well, Rei surmised. Gripping her incredibly large blade in only one hand, she brandished it through the air and gave a playful strike towards Maido's feet. She carved it through the air with ease, a surprising feat to do with one hand typically. Maido was admittedly impressed. A human with such strength had much potential, she knew to be true. No matter, Maido merely floated to the side. In fact, she pivoted her entire body in the middle of the air and formed herself into a crouch, landing on the blade as it made contact with the ground beneath her. She kicked off, launching herself high into the air and causing Rei's blade to become lodged in the ground below and yanked out from her grasp. "What the?!" Clearly not a move Rei had anticipated.

Maido tossed her own blade up into the air before repositioning it in her hand as though it were a javelin. Now towering several dozens of meters in the sky above her opponent, she launched it downwards at her prey. The blade whistled through the air moving at a frightening pace, but Rei was ready. She braced herself, jumping into the air and pivoting her own body clockwise to gain momentum with her shield. She batted the blade away and launched another volley of knives at the blood witch before her. Or the god. Or whatever she truly was. She did not know, but she was suddenly ferocious. The white-haired goddess responded by throwing her shield directly through the knives, knocking them off course as it sailed towards Rei's head. "Shit!" She exclaimed, suddenly bringing up her own shield to avoid decapitation. The two shields met hard, and Rei was knocked backwards from a force of impact she had admittedly not been anticipating whatsoever, and found herself laying in the snow and winded. That's...all I could take? She composed herself. She opened her eyes in time to see Maido's shield and blade fly back into her hands. Interesting.

"You are quite strong, Miss Maido." Rei spoke after a long moment of laying in the snow and contemplation.

"You have a lot of potential yourself, I believe." Was her riposte.

Post by Sia » Mon Nov 02, 2020 9:16 pm

Maido gazed upon Rei's hands and body as she moved to toss her volleys of flaming knives. Quite skilled, for someone of a supposed rank. The blood witch paused, more properly taking in her appearance. A white cloak and silver crown, upon snow crested and enchanting golden wisps. White fur, feather, and faint black speckle gave camouflaged snow drifts a twirl.

Suddenly, an avalanche stirred. The blood witch ported, a movement so fast she knew it would shock souls. The young Yukari recoiled, taken aback by blood. Primordial's step, the agony's embrace. A twilight of blade and crimson had danced into the race. Rei's shield was shattered, thoroughly and through, metal and macabre; Flesh rose did drip. The great claymore blade, shattered and tattered. At Maido's hands, it was battered and gathered. She divided it twice, and repeated it so; Maido did take the blades and give them a go. She tore them up thrice, shreded them down to their bones, a symphony of violins, wires, and threads. Her puppeteering kept up, it continued to shock. She brought them together, and made them buck up. They formed into creatures, of all kinds of terror. To the young Yukari, it was clear, she had made an error.

Maido roasted the blade, and devoured it's pieces. "Too much Iron." She said, and nodded her thesis. Her hands then moved swiftly, a silent assassin; The huntress of old, would bring flame and ash in. Chanting in words, forbidden to all, she used only to teach, and never to call. A venomous snake, still dripping with poison, rose up from the ashes; and made wretched noises. It tattered and breathed, it rusted its guts. To those that could hear it; it sounded quite nuts. Her arms glowed most fiercely, her tattoos shining brightly. What was wrong young Yukari? Did you find Maido quite frightening? Her blade pierced through stone, and metal, and bone; What could Rei do now? Her and Ku alone? She threw forth a knife, another, a third; she let loose her knives and it looked most absurd. She stirred them with elements, lightning and stone. Red hot flames and water and metal trombones. She threw instruments, weapons, shields, and baubles. Accesories, charms, hell she even threw waffles. "What in the hell?" Rei asked with a grin. This woman was proving to be something grim. Rei had never met such a powerful foe, eyes all aglow. What was wrong with their eyes? Was it blight? Was it woe? Suddenly, Rei found she had looked in too deep. Suddenly, Rei wanted to fall asleep. Feathers and bullshit suddenly flew through her mind. What was this? An illusion? Had Maido the time? She couldn't even begin to keep up with the speed, in truth, when it came to casting, Maido was queen.

To the young Yukari, things suddenly took a turn for the worst. In truth, she felt her heart suddenly burst. Her eyes could not move, her throat had felt tightened. She was frozen by the gaze, her opponent the titan. A being of old, having been once imprisoned, she understood now, Maido won missions. This woman was god, or one of them at least, for certain Rei had seen the beast. A great wolf mother, given human form, it rang hells balls with a demonic horn. The blood witch laughed, enjoying the teasing; her hands suddenly moved, a doppelgangers breathing. Another Maido came forth, breathed out by a mist. Was it real? Was it fake? Did it even exist? A clone made of mists and blood and some fists. From Maido? Who knows? Whatever element she sees fits. Rei couldn't begin to think, her eyes couldn't evade it. Another illusion perhaps? She couldn't assimilate it. What magic was this? What strange games did she play?

For Maido, however; It was to be a good day. She was inspired, this young queen made her pray. Her greaves and gloves shredded, a nice little touch. Maido adored them, god it was a rush. Barbed greaves tore at flesh, Shinguards made of death. What Yukari wore, resembled a wretch. Pronged vambraces, blade catching spaces. A dark knights gambit, a serpent swapped places. When Rei had struck, Maido did vanish. Where had she gone? She became a sandwich. Maido laughed, falling to the ground. She wrote in a book, and Yukari frowned. "What the fuck was that?" And Maido howled. She showed Rei the drawing, it was Rei gnawing. "A sandwich."

Suddenly, black fur burst forth in a torrential downpour. Was it rain? Was it fog? Yukari hit by a train. Such force, such power, she had not been prepared for. Her guard had ben let down, she hadn't read the lore. Who was Maido really? Such a walking god, a bat made of souls, began to appear in her mind. Ku spewed a fire, as Rei's hands did require. A black wolfbat howled, its mechanisms whistled. The only sound it made, in this November night's thistles. Rei disappeared, a retreat and a plight. A substitution technique, a log, a book, and a knife. Maido saw through it, Maido saw true. Maido wrote that book, long before Yu. The Yukari yelped, and examined the missiles. "What in the fuck?" This was quite the pickle.

A volley of knifes, much like her own, had been reproduced, but emblazened in stone. Obsidian ink oozed acidic blood drips most ravenously. As though it were alive, it stared and it hummed. Glowing red eyes, they came from nowhere. For Maido, it was someone she dared. Dare what? One may ask? Oh, to rise up against her.

"You want a fight?" Maido asked, in this war of the nations.

"No, Ma'am." Said Yukari, a trembling sensation.

"I wonder then, Young one, what is it you've started. You want me to teach you? I'll show you the garden"

Suddenly, Maido's hands moved at a sickening pace. In doing it, Young Yukari fell to disgrace. The world became dark, emblazed in ashes. In Maidos hand, everything came with batted lashes. She slammed a puppet into Yukari's core, knocking the wind out of course, but there was going to be more. Maido commanded, her hand seals were flawless. Out here in the snow, the rules were quite lawless. She came without warning. She came without sound. She came without footsteps or thistle or down. There she was, standing in the snow. A black dress and plague mask, her apperance bled woe. A blight on the mountain, her red scarf stretched far. Suddenly, suddenly, she had summoned bar!?

"How did you?!~" The Young Yukari exclaimed.

"Enchante" Said Maido, and then Yu finally fainted.

[Open] [Member Event: WarBeast of Blood] Winter is Coming, Maido's Fall Meditation

Post by Sia » Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:08 am

Maido gathered her followers. Each of them, she gave a staff. Or weapon of their choice. Or more. Or dozens. Or hundreds. She produced them endlessly, she had done the missions to prove it. She had so many resources, she was a walking fortress. "Today, I will teach you something, dark and mysterious. We call it Kuuenbu, the sky walts, named after the yearless. This is a dark technique, to be used when you need it. I teach it foremost, to all that may heed it. The blood witch stepped, a distorted blur in the snow. She left to movement prints, her tracks brought no. She counted thirteen, she summoned them all. Eldritch terror puppets, lost pirates she falled. "I don't know where you are, Vorashu, and Kota...but I will see you." Her hands moved quite quickly, she drew a blood tattoo in the air. It floated and burned, a demonic sigil of hive darkness. It called upon a dreaded blight, a withered hold in the night. Maiido brought her hand up, the hunter did stir. "Give me a knife," she purred. Her disciple did follow, and shifted shape quickly. It became a sickle, a nice little karambit rather. Jet black in color, a wire it had tethered. A handle of heart, Maido wielded it. She performed seals with the other hand, and flipped the handle round. A ring at the end, she found it quite round. It flipped and it twisted, it cut and it shrouded. It moved so silently and quickly, it obscurred her tactics most misty. Its own black mist blade, it through off black smoke and red vapor, with Kayoko transformed, she made smoke, and it obscurred in Maido's favor. Her hand seals obscured, a smoke covered her body. Red blood mist rose up, and Maido departed. She became one with the mist, her body undetected. She grabbed Kayoko's handle by the ring, and summoned thirteen clones of herself. Kayoko too, began to chant softly. Each one of them too, had a Kayoko knife broadly. Each weapon, a different shape, a forbidden clone trio. Three Kayokos, Three Hisayos, Three Maidos, Three Trios. She did it again, this time at thirteen. Thirteen Kayokos, Thirteen Hisayos, Thireen Maidos, Thirteen Teams. A training session most awful, but god it was efficient. It was rigorous, it was tormentous, it was evil and it was most twisted. But it truly did work, this much they always knew, Maido was efficient, that much was always true. A specialist at heart, she would do what it takes, she would do it without hesitation, for herself and friends sakes. To stand before her was to command no mercy. To stand beside her was to command respect. To stand behind her was to command protection. She summoned a shield, the same size as Rei's own, but a Moon shape, dripping venom flames, A hydroi's embrace, kraken tentacles did gather. A venomous tangle, Maido called it Moon Shatter. The shiled was quite wretched and each clone now had it. They ripped a core from a pirate, and filled it with acid. Again they each did it, but cycled an element. Now the training could start, and each day would bring hell with it. The war between countires? Maido cared for it not. She would laid enemies to waste, res them and prevent rot. She'd put them to use, no matter the burden. It was a job, she was a specialist, it wasn't unheard of. Now pacifist, the queen of the underworld did chanter, she was wrm and quite fuzzy, she demanded some banter. She needed a pet, someone to satisfy needs. Where would she find them? In Iwa? In the sheets? In the streets. She made her way to the market, and did grab an apple. So succulent, so forbidden, she called it Red Dapple. She brought it out quickly and paid for it with smiles. "Why thank you" she said, and threw coins to the child. She gave him a bite, she carved it herself. She meant noone harm, hell, she might be an elf.

Maido curled, taking a defensive stance. Something most wretched, given circumstance. Kaori, the others, they all waited and watched. In complete utter silence, the primordial talked. "It is good to see you feeling well, Yukari, Kaori. Where is Kotaru? I haven't heard him, it seems." She gave a slight grin, and her body started floating. "This stance can't be used, unless you don't require oxygen." Several followers gasped. This had grown dark. Something about Maido, they saw, had grown in the dark. Her smile became wicked, her face had ripped open. A grin from ear to ear, a marionette maul opened. Chelsea smiled down with arrow shark teeth. "I come from the mist." Said Maido, and shark waters rosed in. Floral black patterns of all different composures, the dress Maido wore?

"Yes @;- It came with Black Roses." Yukari, Rei - Witnessing Maido Become Her Superior & Harbinger, Iwagakure Mountaintop, November iii

Maido moved. Her followers blinked. She'd moved so fast, they couldn't even see it to think. How did that happen? Where did she go? Maido was gone. Not a soul could follow. Within four hundred meters, she had drawn the spell. If someone had entered, she sent them to hell. If you required oxygen, you were at her mercy. The mist? It still followed. It became invisible. It was cursed. She'd heal you, if you yielded, but she didn't usually fight. Most people didn't' know it, but Maido was a fright.

"Yeah...I forgot...Maido is a scary god." - Hisayo, Kayoko, Kaori, Yukari, Nae-Nae, Rei, Hyuuga, Ishiguro, Awai, froze in their tracks. This was something that they'd never forget. A stance withtout warning, a silence vignette. "If you blink, I have enough time to move four hundred meters away from you before you open your eyes. My body doesn't require me to blink. How do you combat that? Go. Brainstorm it with me."

Maido suddenly moved back into view. "I also can merge with my mist and disappear anywhere within four hundred meters within is instanteously. Fight me." Suddenly, the blood witch grew menacing. She sang, a deep, operal chorus as her hair suddenly turned to purple flames. A black and gold speckled aura, a glistening carcass of undeath. A true necrodruid, primordial and hydra. Old beyond youths, the eldest of witches. Hang on, young disciples, and buckle your britches. Maido and chorus, and everyone became hazy. She rose up her first, and the ground became shaky. She was not using doton, no, this was something else entirely. She created a new thing, she called it a name mostly delightly. "Shippuuga" To those that had blinked, it would have been missed. She said it so fast, Kaori sweared it had been a kiss. It was so silent, it required an Instinctual god to hear it. If you had less than that? You couldn't see it, smell it, or hear it. Maido vanished from view, suddenly the area grew red. If you were in here? If Maido wanted? You were dead. "What had she said?" Someone asked aloud.

"Shippuuga." Maido whispered. The crows buried their noses. "Hurricane-Fang."

"It is a maneuver, with a cursed forbidden name. I only teach those to my companions and followers. Use in emergency, because you may kill someone by accident. If you enter a mist, created by me, I can control your body, you are no longer free. I create them at will. I can create them often. I can be your savior, or I can be your coffin. In the blink of an eye, I can summon the mist. I'll kill you. I'll heal you. I'll give you your wits." Maido's voice echoed. Noone else dared talk. "Trinity, come here. I require you assistance." Her two cousins joined, Muramasa Three Toiled. One human, One weapon, One dressed up immortal. They merged, quick in hand, and let out a yawn. "Do we look bored?"

"Yes."

"Good. That's half of the story. The stance can't be used if you require oxygen. So you must be able to hold your breath for a very long time if you want it to work. It's the closest thing to taikinesis you could think of" She added, and her followers nodded. "By letting go of your earthly attachment, you will enter the void." Maido spoke grimly. "I have no heart." She said. "I don't have to touch ground. I'm Santa Clause, I can fly down a chimney." She giggled. Maido suddenly moved, if you blinked then you missed it. The mist disappeared, it was gone in an instant. "What happened? Where''d it go?" Her followers asked. "If you blinked, then you missed it." Maido told them and laughed. Her followers gasped, most of them laughed. The stupider ones were confused, but they too all just laughed. It was a neat little trick, known only to the mist. If within the mists, you couldn't sense, you'd never know, what the Mist were doing. That was true, Maido always dared it. Don't play truth or dare, if you get scared in the dark. A hurricane fang, meant to swallow up blood. It was dangerous and evil, and it made mortals eat mud.

"I'm done being a hero." Maido suddenly said. To those that weren't inside her, it was a macabre instead. "Sometimes its fun being the villain." She moved, to those that blinked, it appeared too fast. She was gone, her human body and weapon, disappeared as a ghast. A frosty embrace, Kayoko was reforged. A small knife, she named it so. With great forbidden magic, Maido called upon the frosts. The black void flames of ice, that enveloped the damned and the lost. She caused a great stir, the other bannins shook their heads. A demonstration of a death dance, a flock of feathers with lanterns. Maido showed the way, her phantom dancer yielded banters. "Butterfly Dance" Maido uttered, and she twirled in a pattern. If one blinked though, she could kill you, and that's all that really mattered. A stance where she was invisible, distorted, and contorted. She didn't touch ground, or breath, or channel, or form seals, she merely floated, silently, observing, and hordeing. Boading, waiting, a terrifying spectre, a scarecrow in the jungle, a fever reported. "Where are they?" Her opponent asked, a choked voice in the night. Within her red mists, Maido's carnival took flight. She restricted the vision, she made it quite so, in fact, without vision, most opponents would know; Maido was their god now. If one couldn't sense, or smell, or fear, or touch, or breath, or move, or cheer, what could you do? Maido was it. The primordial of death. Good thing she was nice, for she bringer of death. Hundreds of years, Maido had lived. Noone usurped her, unless they want death. A blade eight inches long, a handle of heart. Maido grasped it, and then she did start. The blade became apparenty, it was a sickle in handle. Curved like the moon, respect it did demand. It moved in a dance, and Maido was flawless.

"This is an ancient style of sickle, hafted, and polearms, and projectiles."

"Maido...Is a specialist...She goes in....and she get the work done." - Yukari, Rei, Kaori.

Her followers took note, it wasn't a gloat. They had seen it first hand, the cavalry was no joke. "Send in a beast." Maido called. Her sickle was wretched. It dripped poison acid, her venom enhanced it. A large viper owl, a cobra wolf spider, a wolf hawk bat wasp, an octopus spider. Maido summoned creatures, abyssal horrors of old. She commanded legions of undeath, she a Necrodruid olde. She summoned them left way and right way and south. She summoned them sunwards and moonwards and howled. A pack summon bond, bound in the mist of dead souls. She called upon fallen heroes and lost souls. A lantern of threshlight encricled the mist, she was a cruel mistress, a thistle abyss. She brought pain and death, yet pleasure eternal. To be kissed was quite rare, one should feel eternaled. Yukari Rei and Kaori stepped up to the plate, a double entendre to help with the bait. Kaori shattered her body, turned into glass. Her cores dissambled, she became a sash. She emblazed herself on Yukari, Rei as a weapon, a living corpse rainbow witch now in Yukari's possession. Kaori summoned a weapon, she made it of stone. Lightning and gravel mixed in with her bones. It brought with it elements and curses and strings. It was made of everything, and it devoured all things. A world ender weapon, taught by Maido herself, its signature was desperate, and to use it meant death. "As you wish." Maido said loudly, for everyone to hear. "Step back four hundred meters." And everyone cleared. To those that would blink, they would definitely miss it. Maido kissed the air, drew some blood, and her open hands fixed it. A red crimson mist, torrential tribute. From her pores and her body, red vapors did shoot. They gathered and bothered and they stirred and they wretched. "The moon will turn red" Maido spoke, and the moon bled instead. It ran like a wax, and everyone grew hotter. To those that remained, it would become a bother. A transfusion of Katon, Santon, and Sanguine, to breathe in her vapor, made Maido maido your queen. A smokey red cloud, imbued with her venom, she was arachnid, and goddess, she brought passion and ends them. She sand a deep song, and carried out her great vision. An artist among us, she calculated division. She punched in the code, analyzing her target. She appeared in a blink, a vapor becoming god among mortal targets. Kaori and Rei tracked it, the duo defending. Yet; Maido was faster, they saw no such thing. Their limbs were disabled, faster than they could think, "What the hell?" They both asked, they'd been downed in the rink.

Maido moved quickly, she used the blunt of the sickle. The needle point dipped murder, she didn't use it within them. She bludgeoned and blunted and swung with great force, at god speed, and god strength, she was the wolf with full force. She hunted her target, disabled them swiftly. "Don't get caught flat footed." She said whilst she floated, and raise her hand up high, her opponent wrote it. They too becme gloated, yet humbled and floated. Maido controled their bodies, their movements, their moments.

Sinpoder: or is that Sia?
Nick: Sia is more of a palpatine than a mentor
Valkier:
Sia's the opposite, they know the system better than any of us but then ignores it to try do/allow whatever regardless 😛
Hayate:
Your intention doesn't matter if your action creates pain

There is peace in being trash.
Wright:
calling people pussies, bitches or whatever and threatening to hurt people makes you very much less than a man and much like a young boy
Onu:
You intentionally handicapping yourself is not a reason to change the system.
Onu:
It is not the mods job to build ideas for you, its our job to make them systematically acceptable. If there is a core concept to it that isn't acceptable, there is nothing any mod can say that will magically make it work.
Onu:
"Over half of the questions asked in the box can be answered by reading the rules."

Methtastic:
Crazy how elaborate the system is for a group of people who only finish a fight a tenth of the time after 2 months of arguing over 3 seconds of combat

If you want to speed up the process you can just talk to one of the other staff members about it.
Most of them have been around longer than Director and can actually read.
