Trauma Bonding

Having been slacking on the tasks given to him by his reporting Jounin, Xi, Kumori found himself traversing Iwagakure on a somewhat dark and gloomy day. He had been tasked with seeking out other shinobi and building a rapport with this fellow villagers, something he had not been particularly looking forward to. The young Fukusha's outlook on life had been fluctuating dramatically as of late, going through peaks and valleys jumping from sentiments of gratitude and optimism to feelings of despair he had grown all to accustomed too. He had not been wallowing in self pity as often as before, but some of those negative thoughts still crept into his mind. He was working on being more open minded, and put more focus on his training. Between his uncle Kazuo, and his 'mentor' Xi, he had been given a push in the right direction. As the saying went, you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. So today, Kumori would drink, metaphorically speaking.

Most of the time, when it came to training by himself, he rarely frequented the same location. Since he was working on becoming a tad more outgoing, he decided to return to one of the training grounds he had visited before. These particular training grounds were located within the Narusawa Cave system, where had had encountered significantly stronger shinobi before. Thinking back upon his traumatic encounter with Shinjiro, the Jounin from Kirigakure, Kumori felt nauseous. He learned a lot, but that did not make it any less painful.

Upon entering the cave system and making his way to the isolated training area, he noticed that there were significantly less shinobi than there had been his previous visit. This could be a positive or negative, as it was a bit more private, however the pool of people he could choose to train with would be drastically smaller. Estimating there to be only around twenty or thirty shinobi present, Kumori stood at the edge of the training ground and scanned the area. Placing both hands on his head, he looked around, searching for someone who would catch his attention. At first glance, no one in particular stood out. He saw some Genin training with Chuunin, some Jounin teaching Ninjutsu, all the average scenes one would expect to see in this setting. The young Fukusha did not want to intrude on a group setting, instead searching for someone who appeared to be alone.

It seemed as though everyone had a training partner, or a group, which discouraged the Genin. Even so, he would not let this dissuade him from accomplishing the task at hand. He did not feel particularly sociable, but he would do what needed to be done, regardless if it came at the cost of discomfort and joining in on an already established group training session. He wasn't even entirely sure what he wanted to focus on training today, but that was the beauty in his assignment: forcing him to step out of his comfort zone and learn something new. Removing his hands from his head, allowing them to rest at his waist, he scanned the training ground once more before he would pick someone at random to approach. Kumori himself did not appear very approachable, something he had previously reveled in, however he was working on not giving off such a negative demeanor. Whether he was successful at this or not, only time would tell.

Hiroko was working on her art like usual then decided to work on her chakra so that she could have a easier time using her genma and parts of her clans Kekkei genkai so she decided to head out to the training grounds. She had arrived early at the training grounds in the Narusawa Cave system before most people thankfully and found a nice quiet spot to work on increasing her chakra but as more and more people arrived it became increasingly annoying causing her to have to move multiple times though eventually she finally settled down in one place. She was currently in a cornor by herself still trying to continue training to increase her chakra, she tried to shut out the other people training and focus using this as another training exercise.

She focused on her chakra trying to circulate it around her body before practicing moving it to each part of the body from her head to her toes. After that she started practicing and timing her self how fast she could move it from her head to her toes. She kept practicing this over and over trying to improv her timing on it, hopefully she could eventually get it to a speed that would be near instantaneous in combat.

But as she was practicing she saw a lone male genin standing near the entrance he looked like he was brooding while wondering what to do. She guessed from the way he was looking at the other teams he was looking for someone to practice with. Nozomu didn’t really care about how he felt or anything like that but she did know it was a higher ranking ninjas duty to instruct the genin. Problem was she wasn’t really that good at being a good teacher. Plus she really hated dealing with kids, but she hated disregarding her duty even more.

Eventually she groaned and got up then casually walked over to the genin and said in a voice that was cold as ice “I assume your here to train and based on the fact you been glancing at other groups I’m assuming you want someone to train with am I correct? “ she would watch him waiting for a answer with her cold expression beaming down at him

Kumori sighed, coming to terms with the fact that he would have to be the one to iniate contact if he was going to get some training done. Just as he was about to approach a group of shinobi, a female approached him. She had white hair and though she did not appear much older than Kumori, she had some height on him, as well as muscle definition. Her physique would probably intimidate others, and her demeanor was that of a tenured warrior. The kunoichi seemed to carry herself with a coldness, similar to Kumori's own. Nevertheless, she marched right up to the young Fukusha. As he had scanned the training area, he must have passed over her, which was strange, because she stood out from the crowd, and Kumori was attentive to detail.

With a tone and expression as cold as her gait, she addressed the Genin directly, acknowledging the fact that he looked as though he was searching for someone to train with. Even with her emotionless, somewhat dismissive tone, Kumori was thankful someone had made the first move, as he was not the most sociable of people. He felt even more comfortable with her approaching him because she seemed as stoic as he was. She looked as though she would fit right in with the Fukusha, and this made him relax some. After all, she was correct in her assumption.

"You are correct." Kumori said plainly, tilting his head upward ever so slight and meeting her gaze, as she was indeed a few inches taller. The two were exchanging ice cold looks, emotion vacant from both of their faces. Inside, Kumori was relieved to come across someone who at least appeared to be on the same as him, as hyperactive shinobi in his age bracket did nothing but annoy him. Charismatic Jounin had a similar effect on Kumori, but this was about stepping out of his comfort zone. Even if the two had similar outward expressions, this would still suffice for the task at hand. Kumori pondered for a moment what he should say next, as he didn't think very far ahead as to what he would like to work on at this point in time. Maybe she would lead the way, but he would at least try to break the ice of her glacier like exterior. "Fukusha Kumori. And you are?" The boy spoke with the same monotonous tone as before, locking eye contact and waiting to see where she would take this.

Hiroko would nod and say in the same tone as usual with the same demeanor “so anything in particular you want to train? Or did you just want to get stronger?” if he said he wanted to just get stronger she would ask him how much he knows about chakra? As well as how to control it. Though if he wanted to train something in particular she would just train that specific thing with him.

While she was talking to him about that she would notice the genins face and wonder what he has been through or if he or even his clan was naturally like that. It was certainly interesting and would hopefully mean she wouldn’t have to deal with all the annoying qualities of most children. Though she supposed it could be a front or he could still be spoiled and she just didn’t know it yet.

As she was ruminating about this she heard him mention his name and then replied “enkouton Hiroko ”her clan had been in iwa longer then his but that said he was still a genin so it wouldn’t be uncommon for him to have never heard of them. But as she was waiting on a reply from her previous question she started to think about his clan she didn’t have much info on the other clans at this point other then what she would be able to read about in the iwa archives. After all she wasn’t very good with people and sometimes people regarded her poorly. When she recently was given access to them, problem was the archives didn’t say everything about the clans so maybe this could be her chance to get some indepth knowledge. It was certainly worth a shot and maybe she could get other info from him later on

The two had some sort of chemistry, albeit that of a couple of statues. The shinobi before him, who would introduce herself as Modoku Nozomu, asked if there was anything in particular he wanted to focus on in training, and honestly, he did not. After his bout with Shinjiro, he knew that he needed to work on his Genjutsu, both fundamentally and defensively. As true as that may be, he wasn't quite sure if he was in the headspace to tackle that today. Xi and Kazuo both had instructed him to seek out others, and in doing so Kumori knew he would pick up on things he wouldn't even consider focusing on. With that thought in mind, the young Fukusha figured it would be best to allow her to lead the way. A thoughtful, though extremely subtle expression crept across his face as he considered this.

After a brief moment of thought, Kumori responded. "No...nothing specifically. Of course I want to get stronger." The young Fukusha responded, more in a matter of fact tone than a condescending one. After replying, he paused for a moment and repeated her name again in his head. Though is wasn't uncommon for shinobi to not hail from one of the main clans in the village, the Fukusha themselves being relatively new in comparison to the others, he had not heard the surname Modoku before. This wasn't that strange, as Kumori had really just began leaving the compound more frequently. Still, he considered the implications of meeting yet another shinobi from a different clan. Though the bad blood between the Fukusha and Iwa had ceased officially upon being annexed by the village, Kumori himself was still working on letting go of his personal reservations.

Trying to avoid being lost in thought in the middle of an introduction, he followed up his response with a question of his own. "Was there anything you had in mind today?" Kumori asked, hoping Nozomu would have a fresh skill set or some new knowledge to bestow upon him. She seemed strong and quite capable, though looks could be deceiving. That could go either way, and which direction that would be had yet to be seen.

The two did indeed seem to have a lot in common so far but question was is it all a act or was this a test of some kind? Question was would it be possible to find out? It was impossible to say for now. Though it did bring up some interesting questions, Hiroko then began thinking back on what she read in iwa archives remembering that unlike her clan the Fukusha were a relatively new clan to iwa though obviously that came with its own problems but it also helped her some. She then thought back on how she was trained as a child so that she could think of a fair way to train this new genin.

Then after he mentioned he wanted to get stronger she would say “ok first I need to know how much do you know about chakra? Just basic academy level or do you know more?” She would then wait to see how much he knew about chakra and depending on exactly what he knew she would think of a training regimen that wouldn’t be to hard. Though she hoped she could get some training in at the same time but she wasn’t that optimistic about being able to do that sadly. Though it’s possible she could be surprised which would be nice anyway

Nozomu questioned the boy about his knowledge of chakra. In his mind, Kumori was a bit offended, though mulling it over, it was a valid question. He was unsure if this woman knew of his clan's history, but having only been surrounded by shinobi for around half of his life, it was indeed a valid question. Kumori's Kekkei Genkai had been unlocked upon watching the slaughter of his parents, and before that, he had only ever trained in the art of Taijutsu. It wasn't until the Fukusha were annexed by Iwagakure that he was formally taught about chakra. Pausing to consider this, Kumori had believed he knew a considerable amount about chakra, though clearly shinobi that were his elder would know more. "I've only been learning about chakra since we joined this village, so I'm not exactly sure how to gauge the capacity of what I know."

The young Fukusha was being honest and to the point. Though he felt as if he knew quite a bit, the first step to learning is to acknowledge that you know nothing. Kazuo heralded him as the most talented Genin within the clan, but his competition was thin in comparison. Kumori had a late start in his life as a shinobi, but he was making bounds and leaps; a considerable amount of progress in such a short time period. Especially considering the fact most of his training was done alone. This was the entire purpose of him branching out and exploring other avenues of training. "What is your specialty?" Kumori asked. The two still seemed to be sizing each other up. Kumori knew that this girl was more experienced than him just by her demeanor alone, but he was confident in his own abilities. He was confident in his Taijutsu, though sought to expand his Ninjutsu and Genjutsu arsenals. However, nothing fascinated him more than the versatility of Fuuinjutsu. This seemed the be the least common art form he came across, though he was in no rush. Whatever this woman was planning on working on, he would go with the flow and test himself. Whether that looked like a spar or simply her coaching him he did not know.

Hiroko would think for a bit after hearing that she wasn’t sure how exactly to place him. She knew very little of his clan other then they have the ability to copy other jutsu and some of their history, so it was hard to figure out what would be appropriate. She couldn’t assume everyone would focus on chakra control, that said she had to be careful not to insult the ones that were proficient in it. Plus she didn’t want to waist both of there time doing excercises that were too easy for him. But she also didn’t want to be accused of throwing him a test he isn’t ready for yet, it was quite the dilemma. As she continued to think she got a idea, though soon after Kumori asked her what her specialty was so she replied “my specialty is ninjutsu and chakra control”

She then pulled out a strange looking body suit then threw it at him after that she said “put this onif he asked about it she would say “it’s a special suit that shows where in your body chakra in concentrated” if he looked at it he would see that the suit had a hood that covered the head it covered everywhere from head to toe and even had a special sock for the feet that seperated the individual toes. She would then wait for him to put it on. Hoping he wasn’t just another kid that only cared for appearances, she really didn’t feel like arguing over the importance of asthetics versuses functionality.

If he finally put on the suit she would say “I want you to focus chakra to the part I call out as fast as you can in the order I call them out understand?” She would then wait to hear what he has to say then once they were ready she would say “big toe, pinky toe, elbow, ring finger.”

After mulling over the question the young Fukusha had asked, the girl explained that her specialty lied in Ninjutsu and chakra control. Nozomu seemed to have decided on the direction she would take this training session. Kumori considered this. Aside from the Fukusha's affinity for Taijutsu, Ninjutsu was the art he was most proficient in, though he had plenty of room for improvement. He felt that he had a strong grasp on controlling his chakra, but as she withdrew some sort of garment, his curiosity was instantly piqued. It appeared to be some sort of special body suit, and she tossed it to Kumori and instructed him to put it on. Catching it, he held it by it's shoulders and examined the suit momentarily.

The boy looked puzzled, and as if she read his mind, she explained what the suit was. Apparently it was a special chakra sensitive garment that highlighted the location in the body that chakra was being channeled through. It had a hood and looked as though it would cover his entire body. Normally, Kumori would be reluctant to put on some strange article of clothing given to him by a stranger. It wasn't that he exactly trusted Nozomu, but he felt that she was trying to steer him in the correct direction. With that thought in mind, he began shedding his outer layer of clothing, removing his shoes, and putting the suit on.

Once Kumori was dressed in the strange body suit, he immediately began channeling chakra to his chest to test it out. Sure enough, his chest began to glow faintly. As he did so, she explained further that she wanted to test his reflexes, seeing how fast and efficiently he could concentrate his flow of chakra. Having asked if he understood the task at hand, he nodded solemnly, still a bit skeptical about where this was going, but conforming nonetheless. Nozomu instructed him to channel his chakra to small, very specific parts of his body. Kumori wasn't exactly sure how this would help him improve his chakra control, but he did as he was told. His big toe on his right foot began to glow faintly before he redirected it to his little toe, followed by one of his elbows and then swiftly to his ring finger. There was a very momentary pause when transferring from his foot up to his arm, but he channeled his chakra instantly when parts of the same limb were called out. As his chakra system warmed up, he became faster and faster.

With the hood containing his wild tufts of hair and stopping at his forehead, he pondered how the suit would react if he pulled the hood over his face and activated his Shogo-zumi. Still, he was often reluctant to show off his eyes to total strangers, especially as they were often curious to see a Fukusha's ability in action. Depending on how this session would unfold, he considered maybe giving her a showcase. Kumori's Shogo-zumi wasn't fully matured quite yet, but it was still a sight to behold. Pushing this thought to the back of his mind, awaited her reaction and follow up instructions.

Hiroko was unaware of any other reason why he would be hesitant to put the suit on but it didn’t really matter in the long run because he did as he was told. She then observed his chakra control and looked on in surprise as he moved it so well even if it was only on the same limb. He appeared to have good chakra control for a genin that is, she wondered though how fast he could move it then said “ok that’s pretty good this time try to do it as soon as I say the word.“

She would then wait till he was ready and say “left shoulder, right middle toe, left elbow right abdominal pec” she would then wait to see how he performs depending on how he did she would try something more difficult she then tried thinking of a few extra more difficult challenges each that was more difficult then the last challenge hopefully she would be able to train as well eventually. Though regardless of if she got to train anymore at least no one could say that she never trained anyone question is how long after this would she be stuck training another genin

Kumori couldn't tell exactly how well he was doing, as he was unsure of what the standard was. He must have done satisfactorily, as Nozomu continued her dictation. Instructing him to try and channel his chakra to where she said as soon as she said it, she seemed to pause for a brief minute to allow him to prepare himself. Taking in a deep breath, he exhaled as her command began. The first part of his body she commanded was his left shoulder, which almost immediately lit up as chakra flowed through his body. However, her next command through him off a bit, as it was the complete opposite side of his body, being one the toes on his right foot. Still, he managed to refocus his chakra pretty swiftly, but not quite as quickly as he did the first time. Once his right middle toe began to glow with chakra passing through it, he had to focus to shit it up through his body and to his left elbow. Again, not as fast as he managed to get it to his shoulder, but still he thought he was doing pretty good. He still was unsure what the baseline for chakra control was for Genin, but in comparison to his peers within his clan, he felt confident that he was above average.

Once his left elbow lit up, she instructed him to channel it through his right abdominal pectoral muscle. This one was oddly specific, and though that part of his body lit up almost instantly, so did the area surrounding the muscle, signalling some difficulty focusing it that minutely. Kumori frowned, cursing himself in his mind. Quickly regaining his outward composure, he consoled himself. There was always room for improvement, and after all, that was the entire point in him training with those more experienced than him. After this exhibition, Kumori looked intently at the face of Nozomu, searching for some form of expression, though he didn't expect much. He just wanted to know exactly how he could improve upon this, and maybe she could point out some flaws in his control or give him some tips as to how to more accurately concentrate the chakra. The young Fukusha said nothing, waiting solemnly for the Jounin's reaction.

Hiroko would stoically observe as he made progress it seemed he did indeed need work on his chakra control but was still good for a genin. She would continue to give commands she watched and she thought of different training methods. Eventually soon after the commands were done she got a idea for a new one. She then saw as Kumori looked on expectingly at her she guessed he wanted to know how he did and she would think for a second before saying “you did good for a genin again but can still improve a lot. now you can choose if you want to continue with this training method or try something more practical?” She would then wait for his response,

If he wanted to continue this method she would call out another series of commands trying to get him better at moving chakra around in his abdominal pecs in a accurate and timely manner. Though if he wanted something more practical she would put her hand in her kunai pouch and do some hand signs secretly to activate a genma power. while saying “do you have fire chakra?” If he said yes then she would hold out her hand and a orb of chakra that was red and glowed appeared in her hand the orb that was completely uniform while swirling it looked very neat and elegant looking picture perfect.

She would then make the orb fly around and hover around her. She would then say “make a orb of fire chakra as big as you can and use it to stop me from hitting you with my orb because if I hit you it will hurt like hell but you won’t die.” She would then wait for him to make his fire chakra orb and while she waited she would make 4 more red orbs.

Nozomu appraised Kumori's efforts, acknowledging his efficiency as a Genin but also pointing out that there was room for improvement. The Fukusha's demeanor did not waiver; he had anticipated something along those lines. Though he was skeptical at first, he respected how blunt and to the point this Jounin was. She asked him if he wanted to continue this exercise, or move on something with more practicality. Kumori weighed the choices in his mind for a brief moment before deciding that, though this was a good step in the right direction, this exercise was a bit simple. He had a slightly better understanding of how to improve his chakra control, but realized he could probably work on that alone. Instead, he wanted to see what else Nozomu had in mind. The Jounin before him appeared patient, but also had a coldness about her that resonated with him. "I would like to move on." Kumori did not remove the suit, however. He would either wait for her to ask for it back, or simply change back into his standard attire at the end of their session.

After his response, Nozomu reached into a pouch on her person. Kumori noticed this, and though curious, did not acknowledge it aloud. She asked him if he had an affinity towards Katon, and Kumori almost smirked, but instead kept his stoic expression. Every Fukusha had a Katon affinity, it was in their blood. The Genin would simply nod as Nozomu extended her hand and molded her chakra into an orb with a purple hue. The first thing that came to his mind was the fact she had reached into a pouch, which was strange if she was just simply going to mold some chakra. He wondered if she added something, such as a weapon, to the orb. As she explained the next exercise, Kumori's eyes widened slightly, and he quickly performed a back handspring and a few paces backwards to create some distance between them. He had learned his lesson about underestimating higher level shinobi and expecting to be taken easy on.

Standing roughly ten meters from Nozomu, Kumori focused his chakra to his ocular nerve. With the suit on, she might see the chakra being funneled to the hood, but he doubted it would show the direct path to his eyes. His empty, obsidian eyes shifted to a slight purple hue as the Shōgō-zumi became active, granting the Fukusha a mere +2 to his speed. It wasn't much of a boost, considering his Doujutsu was still in the adolescent stage, but when facing significantly stronger adversaries, anything helped. Kumori's violet eyes followed the orb as it began orbiting Nozomu. She commanded him to make one as well, as large as he could manage, and attempt to block it. After her explanation, four more orbs would appear around, circling her like moons to a planet. The Doujutsu quickly broke down and analyzed the mechanics of the orb, allowing him to copy is exactly. The bodysuit's right arm began to glow as Kumori extended it and focused chakra to his hand, his palm facing upward. He decided that making an orb as large as he could might obstruct his vision, and once his own sphere of Katon chakra was manifested, he would pump slightly more chakra into it, inflating it to about 1.5 times the size of the orbs Nozomu created.

Kumori was unable to keep the Shōgō-zumi active for extended periods of time, so part of him hoped she wouldn't draw out her attacks. He felt somewhat comfortable with the distance he created, and had plenty of lee way as the other groups of shinobi were a good distance away from them. With this, the expressionless Genin kept his purple eyes locked on Nozomu and her orbiting spheres of Katon, waiting for her first attack. Would she hurl only one of them at a time, or would it be an all out blitz? And also, were there ulterior threats hidden within at least the first one? Only time would tell.

Hiroko wouldn’t ask for the suit back just yet it was durable enough that it wouldn’t be easily ripped even if he rubbed against the rocks here. Plus it may help him though when he activated his eyes he would immediately notice that he couldn’t copy the red orbs and if he could see chakra with those eyes he would notice the orbs were only made of chakra as well as a moderate source of chakra active around her as a aura that he couldn’t copy also oddly enough or maybe even it was to be expected they seemed to be the exact same types of chakra if he was able to tell appart different types of chakra with his eyes that is. Hiroko looked with a look of genuine curiosity and interest when she saw his eyes but she just waited for him to make his orb once he did all of Nozomu orbs would immediately grow to the same size as his.

Immediately after that she would send the first orb in at a speed of 20 control aiming to hit his foot with it. While she was doing that she would keep creating orbs the whole time now eventually going up to 8 orbs floating around her. She wondered how he would perform in this task, if he managed to block the one heading towards his foot he would notice the red orb disappears when it makes contact with the orb of katon chakra and then she would fire another orb at same speed at his shoulder

Though the orbs did not appear to be a specific jutsu, more so just some form of raw chakra, Kumori had no trouble replicating them. He could see that Nozomu had a look of genuine curiosity upon noticing the change in Kumori's eyes. In his mind, he scoffed, but held his composure externally. Outsiders were always curious. For that reason, the Fukusha Genin preferred not exhibiting the Doujutsu unless necessary. When facing shinobi of similar caliber, he didn't usually need the advantages his eyes granted him, but after his encounter with the last Jounin he faced, he would take no chances here. Keeping in mind the fact she had reached into her pouch, Kumori braced himself, with his own Katon orb in his hand.

Upon seeing that Kumori had manifested an orb larger than all the ones she had created, Nozomu seemed to pump more chakra into hers. They all just about doubled in size, effectively negating the slight advantage he had attempted to give himself. At least he had been smart enough to create some distance between them. The first orb would be approaching him fast, though it was coming in low and close to the ground. Instinctively, Kumori rose from ground, opting to simply hop over the foot-aimed sphere. The Genin had just barely dodge the first orb, as it almost scraped the bottom of his shoe. As gravity pulled him back safely to the ground, he extended his arm, aiming his palm, and thus the orb, at Nozomu as her second attack came hurtling at him. It seemed she had doubled the amount of spheres orbiting her, but he had no time to think about this. The second orb was flying at him just as fast as the first, though he was slightly more prepared this time. It seemed to be aimed at his upper body, but he would deflect it with his own orb. As Nozomu's orb collided with Kumori's Katon orb, hers would simply dissipate.

As soon as he had blocked the second orb, Kumori launched his orb toward Nozomu at a speed and strength of 10. His goal wasn't to actually hit her, but instead at least dissipate one of the several orbs circling her to reduce his work load. Quickly channeling chakra to both of his palms, Kumori extended his arms to his maximum wingspan, creating two more orbs roughly the size as Nozomu's originals in both hands. Her chakra capacity was likely far more vast than his own, and with the Shogo-zumi's time limit ticking, he had to work smarter and not harder. As soon as the 2 orbs manifested in his palms, he would jump backwards 2 more meters and land in a crouched position, reducing his profile. He extended one of his arms, holding the other orb closer to his person in anticipation of a barrage of orbs. Looking on to see if he managed to destroy one of the 8 remaining spheres, he simply hoped she didn't send more than one or he would have his work cut out for him.

When he jumped over the orb it would sail by his foot it would slow down to a speed of 15 so that he would have another chance to dodge it or find a way to deal with it. After that she would make the orb fly up and try to hit him a little above the area in the back of his leg where his foot connected to his leg possibly near the Achilles tendant. She would then wait to see how he handled this new development then would say “be careful with some jutsu like the ones were using dodging is only a temporary measure.” As the Katon orb would come flying at her at a speed of control 25 what looks like steel sand would come flying out of the pouch Hiroko put her hand in earlier and would block the katon orb from hitting her and her other orbs it would then snuff out the orb then the steel sand would return to her pouch.

After that she would fire two orbs at him this time one would head towards his left thigh and the other heads towards right shoulder both would move at the speed of control 20. She wondered how he would deal with this or if he even would be able to, though it would be interesting to see. She hoped she wouldn’t have to take it any easier on him then she already was. After firing the two orbs she would then make two more just in case. She wondered how he would deal with the pain if one of the orbs did manage to hit. She then started to think of how much time she should give him to recover if he gets hit she couldn’t make it to hard or it would seem like she was just wailing on him.

Trauma Bonding

After having thought he positioned himself to have the upperhand, Kumori realized he first orb he had dodged had not dissipated after whizzing past him. In his crouched position and armed with two of his own chakra orbs, the young Fukusha had to think on his feet. Quickly glancing over his shoulder to see if the orb was on a new path or simply levitating, Kumori had very little time to react, as he had underestimated the resilience and agility of these strange chakra orbs. Turning on his heels in his crouched position, he used the orb in his right hand to block the orb, causing it to dissipate. In one swift motion he spun on his heel as he swatted the orb, twisting back to face Nozomu just in time to see something fly out of her pouch and consume his Katon orb. Cursing in his mind, he had little time to react before she chastised him and sent two more orbs hurtling in his direction.

Still crouched, Kumori held both of his orbs out and braced himself for impact. As the orbs connected, the impact knocked Kumori off his feet. Having been crouching, he used the moment to roll right back to his feet, launching another of his orbs. Immediately following the release of the first Katon orb, Kumori sent the other right behind it. He knew this may be futile due to whatever the Jounin had in her pouch, so he withdrew three kunai threw them after the orbs. All of the projectiles were both traveling at a speed of, and would impact with a strength of 10 should any of them connect. The two orbs aimed at her remaining collection of chakra orbs. Something about the chakra seemed off, perhaps simply the color. Kumori knew he could not get hit by any of them and had to get rid of as many as possible. After throwing the kunai, Kumori felt his eyes return to normal, the time limit for his Doujutsu having come into play.

As much as Kumori would rather get into close for this exercise, where he felt more comfortable in combat, it seemed like Nozomu had way too many defenses up close to actually efficiently attack. He had to strategize, and for the moment that appeared as using the gap between them to his advantage. Should he move closer during this exercise, her superior chakra control and speed would end it rather quickly. At least with some distance Kumori had slightly more time to react, however his own attacks seemed to be too slow from a distance. Trying to conserve his chakra, he opted for a kunai in each hand as opposed to creating more orbs. After all, it appeared she was only down to 6 of them. With this thought, his obsidian eyes looked on to see if his barrage had any effect.

Hiroko would watch as he learned from his mistake and blocked the orb. She would then watch as he threw the orbs at her to which she just used the steel sand to block the orb by making a small wall in its path which she could see over. Though to her surprise another orb and even some kunai where behind it. While it was a interesting tactic all she had to do was keep the wall up and it would be neutralized like the previous attack. She would then check to make sure no more attacks were incoming before putting her chakra into the two kunai she blocked recently. She would then make them float upwards and start to fly circles around Kumori at a speed and strength of control 20 effectively limiting his movement. If he moved carelessly while those two kunai were orbiting him he could end up getting cut by his own weapons.

She would then have two of the purple orbs fire at Kumori at a speed of 20 one hiding behind the other only difference is at the last moment right before the first orb is about to hit or be blocked the second orb would fly out of the hiding spot and fly up at speed of control 20 and aim to hit him in the chin. Hiroko would then create 2 more of the purple orbs after that which would start orbiting her again. She would then watch to see what her young genin pupil would do next and if he would be able to defend against this next attack.

If he attempted to try to block or stop on of the kunai orbiting around him the other would begin flying towards his neck but stop short before it could draw more then a small trickle of blood almost as if to make a point before it would return to its orbit around him. She highly doubted at his level he could deal with both at the same time.
