Lonely - Finding Dust

The eldest Muramasa and her two cousins had slept peacefully together that night, preparing for the day that lay before them. The objective was quite simple, though Maido supposed some of the non-Kirigakure folk that would be tagging along would likely stress over it. They were pursuing a target, well, a group of targets, that had broken out of Iwagakure's strictest shinobi prisons. Long gone from the village, the trail was all but cold to everyone save the saviest and smoothest of tracking ninja, and though Maido's ability to track targets within two hundred meters was unparalleled, this particular group they were after had long since fled the village and made their way to the border.

Unfortunately, one of Maido's Kintsugi spies had found them already and since Maido happened to still be in Rock Country, she decided to lend Iwagakure a hand with the hunt. Donning her head hunter mask for the first time in years, she secretly smiled behind it. Hisayo and Kayoko wore theirs as well and saw Maido's for the first time. Hisayo took in its appearance, a white mask with what appeared to be red fangs as markings jutting downwards from its lips, and the Kirigakure village symbol on the forehead, with tiny slits for eyes. It also had slightly jagged edges around its ears, and Hisayo realized eventually that they resembled bat wings. Hisayo's and Kayoko's were much similar, save for different, light purple and orange marking respectively, in swirly patterns. Hisayo's had purple swirls around the right side of her race, and Kayoko's had orange on the left. Both of their masks had somewhat pointed ears and a fox nose as well as the kirigakure symbol and slitted eyes.

Calmly, and in an altered voice that Hisayo and Kayoko didn't register ever hearing come from Maido before, the eldest of them spoke. "Give these to them when they arrive. We'll have a brief discussion and leave shortly." Maido said, opening a drawer from her desk and retrieving three masks from it. All three had the Iwagakure symbol on its forehead, and while one had blue markings and resembled a mouse, the second had pink markings and resembled a wolf. The third resembled an ox, having stylized horns that protruded out further than any of the ears on the other masks, along with brown markings. Maido sat at her desk then and Hisayo and Kayoko left the room, making their way to the deserted lobby and waiting for Sayuri, Yoshiko, and Maru to arrive.
