500/500 - +1 Speed

The pink haired wonder made it to the training grounds. Oddly enough, the training time was at night, which the boy would have drank his warm milk and went to bed by then. Weeks prior Akihiko had put in a request with the higher ups to learn techniques that would cater to his newfound sneaky approach to situations. What the child didn't realize would happen is an actual ghost would be assigned to helping him with training.

When he was told that his request was granted, the child made the proper preparations to make sure that not only was he fully ready for the training, but that he was there on time. Aki skipped from his house to the training grounds where they were set to train. He bobbed his head with his pink hair going up and down in the air with every skip that followed. It took some time to travel through the village, but Akihiko really didn't get the opportunity to experience the village at night. There wasn't really much for him at his age at least. Between the lights, different people, open stores selling different kinds of things, the village really felt different. Once in a while when he came back from missions he would see this, but Aki would be far too tired to actually appreciate it.

Aki used this moment to get a little speed training in himself. Once he got to the central part of the village, he bent his knees and adjusted his arms to 90 degrees. He uses his left foot to launch himself forward and after the initial launch he alternated each leg with as much power as he could in order to send himself into a full sprint. As his legs would pump in the air, the opposite arm would pump in unison. This technique allowed Akihiko to run.... no Sprint!! He sprinted through the center of the village and targeted heading into the area near the training grounds.

Upon his arrival, he slowed his legs down and exhaled greatly. Although it was not just one exhale.... it was multiple breaths gasping for air. He unintentionally held his breath and sprinted causing his lungs to be incredible deprived of air. The result of gasping for air and not having oxygen to begin with, resulted in him coughing as if he was a chain smoker for decades. This combination of unfortunately self inflicting events, caused Akihito to hold onto his knees and arch his back and continue this coughing fit. The pink haired delinquent didn't get a chance to see if his training partner was in the location already. When the fit ended, Akihiko lifted up his body and took a large breath of air. As he exhaled he let out a "Phew, that was a bad one" instinctually. Was the partner in front of him? Near him? Did this mysterious person hear him? Akihiko looked forward after speaking up. What will happen to the annoying child genin next?

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

The ghost of Kumogakure had been assigned a task to train a child... How fitting that she was going to teach him about stealth, although, the way she worked she had to inspect the child first to see if it was worth teaching him for her time was valuable, especially after she started the new S.T.R.A.T.O.S organization. She picked out Yoho's outfit that was an amalgamation of his laidback clothing and her black ops outfit, using the official Kumogakure flak vest and her full metal chest plate placed underneath.

Hotaru, under the guise of Yoho prepared to read Akihiko's dossier, the file contained everything from his appearance, height, weight and personality, his history and other knowledges that the public probably didn't know. Ishiguro huh? That's interesting, maybe Kirie can help me train him when it comes to denjiton, but that's not something he has requested himself so maybe it would be better to focus on stealth training first. Yoho sighed and finished putting on his outfit.

On his way towards the training ground the spy planned on creating a new jutsu, one that could help them mask their next incoming attack, the ghost of Kumogakure had been thinking about this one for a while and had it not been for the fact that the spy had been busy then he was sure that he would've trained this technique a long time ago.

Yoho watched Akihiko train, from what he could tell it was most likely speed, either that or the boy was really in a hurry to get to the arena at night. Funny enough ghost didn't mind if he had been late, just not too late for otherwise he'd think that the boy had ignored their meeting. It was all good though, he watched Akihiko lay down on the ground which gave the hiding spy the opportunity to zoom right next to him, landing right behind him.

The soundless spy crouched down and booped him in the head, gently as to not harm the boy, but knock him out temporarily. Yoho placed a burlap sack over his head and then proceeded to carry him to one of S.T.R.A.T.O.S. secret training compounds. Knocking him out wasn't really all that necessary but if we are truly going to train then it's better to do it where no one else can see us... Man.... Maybe I should've hid my face as to not alarm others that Yoho is out here kidnapping people? Yoho scratched his chin then shrugged, the boy had been spotted doing far worse things, in fact the way he was able to worm out of situations he knew that if any Kumo citizen or ninja asked then he'd have an answer for it.

"He is a delinquent that I arrested and will personally scold, my name is Yoho and you can look me up, I am a state official jounin." Or something like that, he chuckled as he thought the answer wasn't really up to scratch but it would still get a side eye and a free pass into the next area, well, that was IF anyone stopped him but fortunately for them, no one did.

Once he removed the burlap sack, Akihiko would find himself at the center of an underground training ground, here he would see different combat dolls, labyrinths and multiple masked ninjas standing on an uplifted railed path. "Welcome to the bunker, you have requested stealth training and got assigned to yours truly. You may call me... Yoho." Yoho who had put on an animal mask slid it up to reveal his youthful face, he did this to gain the boys trust after knocking him out.

Normally Yoho would've met him above ground but due to the nature of stealth he didn't want anyone to steal the secrets he wanted to reveal. He watched the kid and struggle to keep his chuckle contained, there were multiple ways he could've started the training but at the end of the day he wanted to make sure that they could go all out without fear of things going south, plus they didn't have to fear destroying it, as the dossier never claimed that the boy carried extreme destructive powers.

"I know this might be a bit confusing, seeing as we were at a training ground already but, in order to keep stealth techniques secret... then you need to train where one can utilize it. Here in the bunker, we have multiple facilities to work with for there are multiple ways to train stealth. It's not just hiding your body, it could be persona, disguising your voice, changing your face." Yoho spoke as he began to circle Akihiko.

What was intense was that even though it appeared like he was moving slowly, he was in fact moving at an intense speed that everything he saw was an after image and for each step he took another version of Yoho appeared, slowly circling the boy until there were multiple Yoho's walking around the boy. "You can hide your movements in plainsight, you can create afterimages that hides the real you, you can learn how to hide your true intentions. So when I ask you. What is it you want to learn-"

The after images continued to circle Akihiko, while the real spy crouched next to the boy, their heads were side by side as they watched Yoho circle them. "-What is it you want to learn about stealth?" This could be rather intimidating but that was also part of stealth, to deal with pressure and still keep your cool. A grin grew on the spy's face as he wanted to show the kid that they weren't out to kill him but to show him that the stealth world was bigger than crouch walking.

The golden hued eyed shinobi stared at the boy when the mask was pulled off. Angry and frustrated Akihiko almost lashed out and went all out by releasing Ryeunso within him. When the reveal was given, Aki was still a little bit skeptical. He got up and looked this character up and down. Something was off. Nothing Aki could truly tell, maybe it was just him being skeptical of the way he was brought to this bunker. He decided to speak up and lash out as he does when he feels cornered. "This place smells like feet and old cheese. Maybe you should take a bath sometime." Aki would stand up after that statement and fluff his hair with a swipe of his right hand.

However, Akihiko watched the man and listened. What was important was all of the context clues. What this man was saying made sense, and based on where they were Aki realized that he was in fact in the middle of training! The child's eyes widened the more he talked. In fact, his jaw started to open slowly as the man was one and turned into many. "How... is .... this possible? Are these clones?" Aki's naïve nature and beginning of his shinobi life resulted in almost all techniques to be new to him. It was borderline sensory overload... When Akihiko staring down happened before the man turned into many... he was able to get a gauge of his power level. Based on the analysis, Aki could tell that this man was well above the norm for a person. He was greatly out of Aki's league. He could learn a thing or two from him. "Yes. First an far most. I wish to learn to be silent and unheard. I want to be able to hide in plain sight, attack enemies from the shadows, mask my scent, hide my tracks, and most importantly move without being heard. I want to learn about spying and assassination to compliment my other abilities. Is this something you can help with?" Although he was greatly intimated, he wanted to make sure that they both were on the same page.

Akihiko uses his eyes to do an ocular pat down of his opponents. He gazes upon their aura, their build, and listens to the tone of their voice to gauge confidence. By factoring in multiple aspects of another person, Akihiko can gauge the general power range of an opponent. He can't determine anything exactly, but by gauging general power levels, he can adjust his combat style accordingly.

Hotaru as Yoho ignored most of the boy's cries, she knew that the words he spoke were just emotions that had to be let out, this, again, was the reason why stealth training was good, it could teach him to control himself for a ninja never knew when they were pressed and had to stay vigilant. Life was a series of events that pushed you closer to victory if you kept your head cool, if not then you will be bombarded with new endeavors. So, Yoho chuckled and kept the crouching position next to Akihiko, letting nothing phase him as he looked deep into his eyes.

This is the host of Chaos genma, I guess life couldn't have been too easy for this young lad. But he sure do have a loud mouth. Yoho placed his hands on his knees and pushed himself to a standing position. He then peered over at the maze ahead and took a deep breath, he looked over at his onlooking peers and shouted. "This boy is here to train stealth, you know what that means! Assume position and don't let him get to the end of the maze." Yoho knew that the only way he could actually learn was by doing.

Now, in order to teach him plain day stealth he would need to master his nerves and as of now she wouldn't trust him to be able to complete the task said task, Akihiko only had one attempt to do street stealth for if he failed then he was sure that he would be reported, hence why he would have to complete the maze and various sections. Hotaru had done the same when she started out, well, not exactly considering that she started out as a thief and already had the basics down, but ever since she had taken over S.T.R.A.T.O.S she had learned what it took to teach a regular joe smoe and turn them into a super spy, not that this was the training Akihiko wanted.

Nevertheless, Yoho peered at the maze and watched how her spies leaped down the railing and placed themselves in different positions that would test the man's skills, she knew that it would be best to show him how things were done before she sent him on this task, but at the same time it would amuse her to see how well he would do on his own. That way he could first attempt and then see how a professional does things, therefor she crossed her arms and nodded towards the maze. "I want you to get through that maze before I show you how it is done." If he had taken notice than no sound except for when Yoho spoke was created, not when he stepped nor when he moved the fabric on his body.

It was almost eerie as even the ghost of Kumogakure was not too comfortable by it, the ghost walked towards the stairs that would lead to the elevated path, he would continue until he stopped over the maze. He leaned over and peered down and watched how the guards positioned themselves in the makeshift alleyways and buildings. From above one could see the samurai compound clear as day but from the ground position Akihiko would only see hedges and buildings covering his view.

Around the first bend the young shinobi would find two guards, one tending to the bushes and while the other was sharpening his sword. "Well, you know, flowers are beautiful but I don't see why a warrior should focus on that. Why not have someone else do that for you? You could just pay them."

"Because it is better to be a warrior in the garden than a gardener at war." He finished the first set of bushes then walked to the second located five meters away.

Akihiho would be able to see that the first garden had five sets of bushes and one outhouse located 50 meters away from the first building. The paper walls hid the fact that there were multiple samurai located on the inside, there were multiple ways to tackle this situation but it would all be up to the boy to tackle it.

This being the first level of stealth should allow the kid to learn how to sneak, well... He doesn't have to sneak, he could try to talk his way through or maybe he knows some way we have never figured out before. Yoho grinned, he had taken special interest in this case for usually she wasn't contacted to train genin, meaning this genma host was special.

"What do you think? You think he will make it through level 1?" Yoho's second in command walked up to him, his feet made no sound even though he stepped on metal grates.

"I think we are dealing with a special case here. With the Chaos ability he should be able to make it through this with ease, but it would be more interesting to see what he would do without it. The better he learns to handle his body without relying on other factors the better he could use it combined with his other abilities." Yoho leaned away from the railing and chuckled. "In fact, I would go so far as to say that if he doesn't get through this without using his abilities then we should ban him from using it on level 2." Both of them nodded and agreed.

Akihiko didn't know this but there were 3 levels with a secret one at the tail end, what that secret was would be revealed at a later stage, but as of now, she wanted to see how he managed to get through it on his own. Next level would be a larger arena, but that would come later.

Akihiko was in a complete state of confusion. He didn't fully understand what the point was of the maze... In fact, the child didn't get how any of this worked. The puzzling look on his face probably could say it all. However, the child was here to train. Aki knew that based on everything that had transpired so far... this guy, this being, knew exactly what he was doing. So with that trust whether it was misplaced or not, Akihiko had made the decision to continue through the maze and follow what was going on.

The child's expression had changed drastically, almost a 180 change! What was once a scrunched up and confused face, had turned into a empty serious face. This was a tactic in order to take the situation in full with complete serious intentions. With a quick stretch, Akihiko got low and began to walk through the maze. By the time he got to the first bend, he stuck his head out. To his surprise there were actually guards here. The first thing that raced through his mind was; How were there guards here? Did he knew people in high places? Were they his henchmen? Regardless of the questions that were spiraling through his head, one thing was clear. He needed to not be caught by these men or maybe he should be caught?

What was clear to the young child was that he should try his best to make the situation his own, without the Limbo Realm in his back pocket. Akihiko decided that maybe he could try to trick them. First he would want to walk up to them without a sound and then attempt to lie in order to convince the guards that he was a new recruit. Although... would that be the best option? It might be better for Aki to silently walk and then hide completely from their view.

Before the golden eyed genin could make a move Ryeunso had some thoughts on the matter. "Boy, what is the point of training with me, if you aren't going to even use the ability that I graciously bestowed upon you. Why not enter the limbo realm and torment these poor excuse for men." Within the consciousness of Akihiko, he responded harshly. "Ryeunso, as you know the first layer doesn't cover sound. I also don't have enough chakra control yet to be fully functional in the way I want to. This will help! Don't be a big dumb idiot, you are old as hell and should know this." This resulted in the Genma within him to laugh hysterically. The laughing itself would slowly drift away in Aki's consciousness before becoming completely silent. Ryeunso was clearly just trying to get a rise out of the boy in order to throw him off.... It would be funnier for him to fail than to succeed.

Time for action! The child would survey the area. It was clear his best way of action was to try to get to the bushes and use that cover to continue through. After gauging the area and establishing all of its nooks and crannies, Akihiko started his movement. He cautiously walked while crouched towards the first bush closes to him. Based on the warrior's movements and conversations, Akihiko would continue to sneak from bush to bush. Once he got to the last one he would wait for the two to be fully engaged in conversation. If he timed he right he would attempt to sneak around them and hide near the paper door. If he was successful his next movement would be imperative!

Hotaru watched with bright eyes, it seemed that the host was going to proceed without using his ability, which was good, this was exactly what she wanted to witness. In order for him to truly master stealth then he would need to be able to move about without wasting chakra, the better the basics the better the advanced, that was her way of teaching. She watched how he moved about with ease, it seemed that he was on top of things, the way he gauged his enemies, the way he sized up the compound and to the way he moved about.

It was clear that the kid was a rookie, but he showed great signs of learning, she couldn't help but to smile as she was expecting training to be slower, but the way things seemed to progress then the kid should be field ready within a couple of days. Good, now let's just hope that his enthusiasm sticks around. Hotaru peered over the railing and watched how he managed to sneak past the first set of guards, within the building he would find what appeared to be another labyrinth, this one utilizing the paper walls and doors as cover, here he would find what appeared to be a standard home with furniture's and appliances that one could find above ground.

Akihiko would have to keep on his toes if he wanted to finish the second level of stealth, this time he would have to be the one to push forwards and find the enemies as they were stationed within but were currently out of his view. This section requires a bit more thought. Hotaru peered over at one of her comrades and chuckled as Yoho.

"Congratulations on completing the first part of the training, now comes the second stage. You are to sneak through the building and make your way to the courtyard. You are allowed to use taijutsu to attempt to gauge your enemies, attempt to knock them out or do your best to hide. I'd suggest trying to find out a bit about the enemy, gather intel... You never know, there might be some secrets within the building." Hotaru shrugged as her men chuckled, they all knew very well that the next round was significantly harder than the first, but it provided far better experience. A sigh escaped her breath as she knew that the next part would be somewhat slower, that and not being able to peer through walls made it somewhat boring for the onlookers.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Post by Texas » Tue May 30, 2023 1:19 pm

The boy found excitement from this kind of training. He wasn't used to engaging that much with others in real life situations. Ever since he had graduated from the academy and turned into a Host, he really hadn't had much interactions with real life situations. Sure he has been to pebble and made friends so far in his year as a genin, but due to his skill level, rank, and his Genma situation, his whole career so far has felt a little bit sheltered. Whether he is mastering his ability gifted by Ryeunso or practicing different techniques with the Limbo Realm, other than Mariya and the Raikage, no one has really seen what he could do.

This was a perfect opportunity to continuously train himself to to be a proficient ninja without the reliance of his ability. With those thoughts racing through his mind, he would peak into the area only to feel like he was in a living room. However, what he could see was simply just furniture. This was a weird test, how come no one was around? The pink haired delinquent stepped into the area slowly and quietly. He would look at the living room filled with a table and chairs. Where were the people? A little bit ahead, there was a corridor, it was an oddly shaped one too. Aki made his way towards it only to see two hallways. Was this a shape for a labyrinth? A maze? Aki's mind started to spiral as he stood there trying to determine which way to go. After a couple of minutes of deciding, Aki turned to the left and went down that hall. There was light and another weird looking room, but before he could fully asses it the child was in clear sight of a couple of guards. Both Akihiko and the guards stared at each other. Oh no.... did Akihiko screw this up?

The guards looked at him and tilted their heads. Before they could speak, the child put his hands on his eyes and pretended to cry. It was too late to be sneaky, now he had to try something else. As he tried to cry, a couple of tears would actually go down his face. Since he was 12 it was hopefully believable. The child would say softly in between sniffles "I... I... I was trying to get home and got lost. Now I can't find my mom and daaaaaaad. Can you help me???" he would finish as the tears would begin to wallop and shower down his face.

Yoho chuckled for himself before he unraveled his Cloak of Invisibility and wrapped it over himself, he then leapt from the roof down to the floor below, making haste through the maze and into the backyard, he would slip past the guards who were none the wiser and would find himself next to Aki, he watched how the boy tried to move around the bland space, not covering his corners and turned them blindsided. He was shocked, yet not surprised. Is he an idiot or something? He did his best to hold in his laughter as he continued to the tail the boy. Her steps where light and the cloak made sure that even if he had managed to look back he would just see the room he had left unchanged from when he had previously been there. Ryoto surprised me, so there's a high probability that this kid will too, what's important is that he finds a way.

Yoho watched how the guards approached the kid with wonder, Hotaru on the other hand was taken by surprise by how well he was at thinking on the fly, figuring out a daring attempt could save ones skin if the skill is trained properly. "Aren't you a bit away from home? How did you even get in here kid?" She moved closer the door frame and pressed her back against it. She wondered how he was going to get out of the situation? No one had told him that violence wasn't an option, because she wanted to see what he would do when pressed. Fortunately for him this wasn't a Procure on Site (P.O.S) mission and could use anything in disposal as long as he removed any traces, for the number one rule was to finish the mission. Things are getting interesting now, what will you do? Using your ability only limits your possibility to train your body, while it does allow you to slip past them, but... That would leave them in a cautious state... Decisions, decisions..

Hotaru was there to make sure that nothing went too crazy and would be ready to step in, in fact she didn't even need to be this close, she just wanted to train her new jutsu while Aki was completing his trial. The wold around her seemed to be painted in her head, every noise, crunch of folding clothing and disturbance of airflow seemed to give her a vivid description of the surrounding area, allowing her to absorb enormous amount of information, with great practice and set up, this could allow her to create incredible ambushes, but that was for later. She closed her eyes and started to paint the picture of the 5'8 guard, wearing some sort of samurai armor, he was equipped with two katana's and seemed to be wearing a necklace that hit the armor when he walked, further in there were another guard, this one was seated and played a game with another one.

"What's going on out there?" The first player asked.

"You should focus on the game." The second one responded, not liking that his focus was divided. Hotaru could sense how he rose up and leaned forwards to focus on the game at hand, she could tell where he moved his piece and once he touched the board, the vibrations would relay where the others where. She grinned and peered over the corner, smiling as she was right on the money. Alright, now all I have to do is reach a longer range, it should allow me to gather intel, it would be practical if I could share the information immediately, perhaps I should invest in that at a later date. For now she would have to focus on making sure that Akihiko got thought this level, unlike Ryoto, he wasn't given a whistle, but that was because this one had higher capabilities, he was a trusted weapon of Kumogakure no Sato.

Which meant that she had high expectations of him, this was a perfect environment to fail in, as she would make sure that he got to the next level, but only to see what level of action she could take him out on. Stealth was a slow art, one would have to build up a pyramid of back ups in order to master it, but if he put time and energy in to it, then she would make sure that he turns into a fine soldier.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Post by Texas » Tue Jun 20, 2023 10:13 pm

The boy felt a bit of shame acting like a child. He had spent a better part of a year, since he had achieved the title of genin, trying to appear more like an adult. With tears flying and a pitch reaching a volume he didn’t realize he could get to, the pink haired boy used the covering of his eyes to sneak a peak of his surroundings. The child took great notice that there were two others slightly distracted by a game. By utilizing his hands, his right eye was able to sneakily determine the amount of people in the area. Overall, it was clear he had to somehow cause a big enough scene in order to evade all the men in the area. What could the young child do? Could Akihiko really think on his feet? The thought of provoking them was enticing. However, a battle would only cause a scene. Maybe he could try to pin them against each other… Yes that would be the best way the pre-teen could.

In the midst of the situation Ryeunso had some words of… encouragement that he wished to relay to Aki. “Boy, you do understand that this sneaking and lying is a perfect way to truly trick these simple minded soldiers. No one would expect a pathetic child like yourself to be able to do what you can do.” Within the confineds of his mind, Aki agreed “Well, you could have been less harsh, but I actually agree with you big boy. I can actually trick these guys without using your big dumb techniques, I can do this on my own.” A howling of laughed filled Aki’s brain. “HA HA HA HA, alright boy, good luck, let’s hope you don’t fail everyone watching.” The child didn’t fully understand what the Genma meant by that… was he playing a trick on Aki at the same time that Aki was going to play a trick on those around him?

Regardless of the intention, the pink haired delinquent didn’t let the words of what he perceived, as a bitter old Genma, to distract him. In fact, although he hadn’t been merged long he had a better understanding of how to interpret his words in a way that fit Akihito’s thoughts. With great confidence, the child had made his internal decision on his next move. The boy would continue to cry as he looked up at the man trying to help him. With fear and anger in his eyes he would shout just loud enough so the other guards could hear him. “Oh what is that… EW OH I WILL NOT DO THAT WITH YOU!!!” The child would abruptly get up and run towards the guards. As he ran towards them, the boy would use his right hand to reach into his ninja pouch and pull out a smoke bomb. Assuming he was being chased, the genin would make his way at a fast pace to the guards playing their game. At this point, there was a high probability that the guards would have been standing. Before they could even talk, Aki would shout at them to throw them off even if that meant for just a second. “Oh my god help me! That man gave me this and asked if I could wanted to be taken to his chamber bed! Don’t let him touch me!” Whether they saw through Aki or believed him, one thing was clear. An opening might have been made. If fabricated properly, the child would hold the smoke bomb up to the two guards. With all the might, Aki would drop what was in his hands. His final words to the men would be a simple “oopsies”.

As the smoke bomb would fall, Aki couldn’t help but watch as it hit the ground. The smoke bomb as a whole would activate upon contact with the floor and a massive explosion of smoke would take over the whole area. With the smoke rising, the boy wonder waited until he couldn’t be seen before his face carved a devilish smile. He used his eyes to see not through the smoke, but the movement within it. By focusing heavily he could see shapes and movements which helped him determine where the guards were and where they were going. Because of this technique Aki developed, this gave him the perfect opportunity to run away and around the guards who were distracted. In hopes of utilizing a good distraction and covering the sight of all 3 whether they were in the smoke or not, the boy would begin to run.

This type of running was new to the pink haired Ishiguro. He had yet to truly move his body like this before. By fighting his quads and running almost like he was on his toes, the child had developed a silent run. By running in a silent fashion, it made it nearly impossible for the guards to hear him unless they had a perception that could keep up with it. By running the way he did, the boy would shift slightly upon exiting the smoke bomb on the other side. This attempt was to not leave a trail of where he was going.

Once Aki made it out of the smoke, his eyes adjusted and were not as focused like they were in the eye penetrating cloud. With swift movement, Aki silently rounded the corner and headed to his next spot. What was important for the boy was to get accustomed to not using his latent ability. He also wanted to impress whoever took him here for training.

Akihito at this point had hoped he was being fully watched. Although he made a few errors, the delinquent felt as though he was making strides in techniques and tactics. What would be considered untraditional tactics, really aided Aki in utilizing not only the element of surprise, but really being a wild card in a situation. Probably not the best when it came to planning, however, Aki was better when it came to last minute tactics than anything else. With this purpose, Aki would continue to run until another corner of the area made it clear that he would have some kind cover before entering into the other area. Instead of running head on, the boy decided that maybe this time he would stop and asses the situation. With that in mind when he got to the corner, Aki would stop. He knew that it was important that he made haste, it was only a matter of time before the guards from the area before figured out something was off and run towards him. Or would they look in the wrong direction? Regardless, the aspiring Banin wanted to be quick and efficient. He would peak his head only slightly around the corner to see what was in store for him next.

His unconventional ways of moving about were amusing her to say at least, she tiptoed after the boy and dodged anything that could cause them to be alerted to her presence. Hotaru watched as the interaction unfolded, how Aki got the other guards to believe in his story, giving him ample time to reach for his pouch, Smart move there kid, now to make sure that you sneak unto the next area. Hotaru knew that if this was a real situation then the kid would probably attempt to kill her subordinates, instead, she followed through the smoke and watched how Aki stunned the next set of guards with his smoke bomb, I would've used a flash but another smoke works as well. A chuckle escaped her breath.

Hotaru pushed off the wall and leaped over the party, she landed gently on her toes to not make any noise and would continue to dash towards the exit. She would reach the large wall marked Section B, here he was expected to learn how to stealth combat as there was no way he would be able to make it through without knocking out at least one guard, (Hotaru's record). She peered back at Akihiko who was tip-toe running his way toward the wall, she chuckled as wanted to praise him for figuring out how to stealth run so fast, she could see the potential in him growing. She waited until he pressed himself against the wall and was about to peer over the corner, that was when she removed the cloak and nudged his shoulder.

"Good job kid. So far I've been impressed! This next section is going to be a lot harder and will force you to not only think on your feet but also with your hands. Stealth combat is a necessary tool that any agent on the field should adapt to, if one has a hard time taking out a foe then they do not belong in the field, so for the next round I want you to make sure that you are not spotted and if you are that the guards are incapacitated, Knocked out, now, I have allowed the use of assistance on this level before and ask you if you want my assistant to help you through this level?" Hotaru had leaned in when she told him that he should knock out the soldiers, she had then stood straight as she asked if he wanted Kirie to assist him in getting through the next section, for one wasn't always alone on stealth missions and working in tandem was important if one wanted to make it out alive.

447 towards next training.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

To put it simply the struggle was real. Akihiko was most definitely not used to fighting and evading without the limbo realm. Was this a disadvantage for the boy? No he was brought to this remote location to increase his skills and expand on his strengths. Those strengths would hopefully counter his weaknesses. If the boy was without Ryeunso, he had to be more than capable of fighting on his own. As the child got lost in thought, a jump scare appeared! Seemingly out of nowhere a girl popped up and scared Akihiko. He jumped, flinched, and clenched his fists at her tapping him. This was a tense situation for the boy, although it could be seen as trivial for someone like Hotaru who's assassins and stealth skills were refined.

"Geeze you scared me!" He said in a loud whisper. The boy listened as she spoke and he nodded in agreement. "Okay, well I guess I am not opposed to working with someone else. If it is a standard to missions, I want to contribute as if it was!" The notion of combat and mission simulation really drew out the sugar rush like excitement throughout his body. What he wanted to do was make sure that where he was looking, he would be able to determine the danger sense of the situation. Since he was a ninja, it was important to have ninja-like qualities not a lot of people had. Aki, nodded at her and moved his head back to gaze upon the area. He wanted to see what was hanging out, but most importantly, what could be potentially hiding in the shadows. The pink haired genin glared at everything the area had to offer. He looked all over, he saw guards, and tried to take a particular sight towards places that someone could be hiding in.

After looking down at the area the boy nodded as if he understood the assignment. Since an allie was there, Akihiko decided to seek out some advice. I mean they had a little bit of time before he would try to tackle this situation. "So, i'm guessing you're... umm... a little sneaky. What would you do in this situation?" The boy didn't feel like what he was asking could have been too crazy of a question. Aki didn't see any harm in asking a professional the best way to tackle the guards and any potentially hidden enemies. At the end of the day, the boy wanted to make sure that executing an operation became second nature to him. There were only so many cats he could catch and old ladies to help grocery shopping before he became bored with the normal wear and tear that came with being a Genin. Time to rank up!

It is like every training session the boy has been through so far. Overall, he has practiced his version of what other people could do. Adapted techniques and styles in order to cater to his strengths. What he could gain from this question could go only one of two ways in his mind. Either he got great insight and executed based on it, or he would be told to figure it out on his own. Akihiko was hoping for the form, but the child was creative... at the very worst he could absolutely figure it out.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

All we need to do now is get through this level, then we can take a minor break before we continue another time. From my evaluations, this kid should be fine for minor stealth missions as of now, with time he can learn more techniques unless he rolls up his sleeves on this next level.Hotaru now in the open showed that it didn't matter who he saw, for he wasn't the one in control, but he was still invited, she had deemed him impressive enough that she now wondered what the boy could do with his magic, she had only heard of the power of limbo, how one could skip from different dimensions, an intriguing ability indeed. Yet, it would be better if he mastered his body before he fully relies on the power of that entity, I fear that even if they truly bond the monster will have changed the boy's life forever... Let's just hope that it turns out for the best.

Hotaru leaned off the wall and chuckled as she crossed her arms, Kirie looked over at Akihiko and shrugged. "Well, I can disrupt chakra like you and control magnets, so I can pretty much de-weaponize people within an area." Kirie smiled and peered away, she wasn't directly shy, she just didn't like the fact that she had to be used for other people's experiments. She remembers how she had to get through this level and how Hotaru had been the one down here with her, guiding her through her insane stealth wisdom. Truthfully at times she felt lost and scared out in the jungle but here, she knew that no matter what they wouldn't at least be threatened to be killed.

"But don't worry kid, if worst comes to worst, we can use our improvisational skills to get us through it... If not... Then I guess she'll have to jump in." Hotaru had leaned back against the wall during the time they had spoken, she had begun reading a book in silence. She waved as she was mentioned before going back to what she was doing before.

The spy wasn't just focused on reading, but on sensing the vibrations around her, from their words bouncing off the ground and their bodies to the guards around the high wall moving about. She could visualize through their movements how a small park with a large maze-like structure was painted in her mind, their heavy armor crashed against their bodies as their steps reverberated around creating a near-perfect 3d picture of the area. At the center, there seemed to be a large pond where Hotaru couldn't fully see the middle, which probably meant that it was important. The area was roughly 150mx2 area with narrow pathways leading about, it would be easy to get lost in the maze if one was not careful, and from what she could sense, even easier to be spotted. I wonder how he will get through this part. He did show potential in his improvisational skills as he didn't freeze up when the time came, though a little bit sloppy, he still got through.

Kirie chuckled and gently touched Akhiko's shoulder, "From what I remember, and that's even if we they are using the same layout, there should be multiple guards running around protecting some area, that's where the next level is supposed to start, but you seem to be... You know what. We should just focus on getting through this level." Kirie's eyes had met Hotaru's and the words they had shared were enough to tell her that she better make sure that the kid got through this level.

Kirie's eyes darted from Hotaru's back to Akihiko, preparing to go through the next level, the young recruit tried to psyche up the kid. Hotaru on the mean hand closed her eyes and began to see the path ahead, a fork would be presented and allow them to take either three paths, what the kid wouldn't know is that they represented three different levels, ranging from easy to hard mode, in order from left to right. The left side sported fewer guards and more open spaces to hide in, two in the front part and four in the back. The center road had three guards in the front and four in the back, while the right path would loop around all of it, with multiple secret paths hidden, intertwining the levels so that one could technically skip levels and lower the difficulty if played correctly. Now, now Aki, remember that I will judge you depending on which path you take and prepare you for a real-life mission suited to your capabilities after this. The spy kept that part to herself, as per usual.

The maze was ever-changing and shifting in their paths but if one just used their senses they would be able to get through it rather quickly, Hotaru would make sure of it that one way or another, he'd at least pass the test, for the greater good of Kumogakure. Show me that the lessons you have learned so far can get you through the next level. Hotaru pushed off the wall as she continued to read her book, "So begins the next stage, and remember, if push comes to shove, just call out and I'll be right there, now off you go." With that the spy vanished from their vision, she had leaped up to the railing and stationed herself so she could see them properly as she needed to rest from straining her body so much.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Akihiko wasn't one to backdown from a challenge! Yet he didn't even know what challenge he would be choosing at this point. The boy listened to the girl next to him. It was filled with hints combined with abstract, unidentified, and mysterious information. With this in mind, the boy thought for a couple seconds on what he wanted to do. He smirked devilishly and made a decision he didn't even expect himself to make. "I appreciate the offer, but I want to show the you guys what I can do. Also, I need to test the limits of my movements and fighting without the use of this ability bestoved upon me." The child had never used the word bestowed, unfortunately he said it wrong, but the idea and usage of it was right. Lo and behold the child saw this great opportunity to practice stealth techniques, display his capabilities, and all while not using his Limbo ability. In truth, this path would allow him to utilize them within the limbo realm which would actually make him a legitimate threat.

After giving his two cents, Akihiko went around the corner and simply started to run forward. He bobbed and weaved through different obstacles and made it to a large opening. What appeared in front of him was three very distinct paths. The child stood for a second and couldn't fully decide on what to do. They could be traps, pathways, or even worse... an exit. The boy didn't want to leave just yet! There was still so much to prove and so much to show off. How could he leave now. Based on his mind set, Akihiko wanted to just run forward. He wanted to go through the middle pathway. Based on Aki's childish brain, he figured that the middle would be a pathway with at least some challenge built into it. The option was too obvious to be anything but a trap.

Akihiko first wanted to be prepared. No chakra, no jutsu, nothing. In truth, the boy only knew a little bit of his familial kekkei genkei. He had mainly been focusing on the limbo realm jutsu. Distractions aside, Akihiko reached into his butt pouch and took out two kunai. He held them, one in each hand. Regardless of what was over the hump on the other side of the tunnel, the pink haired problem child deduced that at the very least he could try to take out two guards right away... if there were even that.

Preparation was important and Akihiko slowly moved forward in a silent fashion similar to how he had run before. The boy ran through the tunnel and there was a weird arch and 90 degree turn. Tip toeing through each section and stopping near the turn, Aki peeped his head out to see what was in the area. At first he only saw a couple of guards walking. The further he looked the more he saw. There were two guards walking back and forth, while one seemed to be sitting down on break eating. Past them were four guards just standing there.. Oh man Akihiko didn't realize this path would be the one he had chosen. For a split second, Akihiko looked behind him. The fleeting thought of finding a different route left his mind as he re-focused on the task at hand. If the child was quick enough, he had enough skills to take out two guards as he ran. Then he would need to take the third one out swiftly. Based on the area. He would be better off taking out the guard sitting down eating and the guard to the far left that was walking in a very predictable pattern.

Since the guard sitting was a rather easy target the boy decided that he would throw a kunai at the guard sitting, one at the man to the left, and then try to take down the guard in the middle. Although it wasn't his strongest feature, this would have to be done swiftly! The child started to move forward silently. He would whip a kunai with his right hand towards the guard eating. The aim was for the neck. If he wasn't strong enough to kill him, the goal was to silence the first one at least.

Akihiko would then kick his back legs up and push forward. As he turned the corner, Aki would whip the kunai in his left hand toward the guard to the left. This kunai would go for the chest. Akihiko wanted to get the man in his heart and eliminate him all together. After those two kunai were thrown, the child would continue his running and push forward as fast as he possibly could. With his speed, the boy was hoping that the element of surprise was still in his favor. With an extra step, when the child was close enough, he would launch himself up in the air a little bit. With this he would send his first fist with his middle knucle slightly out and target a pressure point on the guard's lower right back. Then he would swing his left hand to the right of the man's shoulder blade. Lastly the child would pull his right hand back and resend it to the bottom of the guard's spine. These three pressure points hit the way they did, would essentially cause the man to lose all motor functions. With that technique successful, Aki would kick the man in the head to knock him out.

The boy would look to his right and left to make sure the other two guards were taken out before heading to the last four.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Post by Trusted Grader » Thu Sep 07, 2023 2:04 pm

She liked what she heard, to think that the their minds had finally synched was a great victory, though what would come later would certainly surprise her, even though it shouldn't but for now, the spy moved back to the top railing. She leapt from the wall up to the darkness, Kirie on the other hand sighed, the greenery mixed with the black metal made for a strange vista but one that the white haired spy had grown accostumed to. For whatever reason it felt like Hotaru didn't allow the Ishiguro to move about freely, as if she was not to be trusted in the outside world.

It was probably for the best as Kirie tend to manipulate people into her bidding and as of yet she was not at that level where she could get away with things, Hotaru knew that if she proceeded without proper training then she would find herself within prison walls within a year, a chuckle escaped her breath as she crossed her arms. Kirie, who, for all intents and purposes was her light was the most bothersome agent she had picked up, she was the only one which required micromanaging.

A scoff and a sigh followed as the master spy watched the duo move about, to her surprise they had chosen the hardest path. I wasn't expecting him to go that route, considering he always panicked when they spotted him last time...

Though to be fair to the kid, he did improvise his way through the situation... Maybe he feels that he has something to prove? Though he should be careful, in a life and death situation this could lead to an early grave, one should not focus too much on others. The mission always comes first.
Hotaru crossed her arms, her comrades were staring at her and wondered what she was thinking, it was clear that thoughts were swirling in her head but they dared not ask their leader what was on he mind.

Kirie, who couldn't careless about this boys life did her best to keep up with him, she was usually the one to lead the charge when it cames to the rookies, but this one was almost as fast as she was, he was determined, not the brightest but he had guts, which impressed the sociopath. She watched how the kid chose to attack rather than stealth, which was rather interesting, she could tell that the boy before her was going to grow up to become a problem and probably not a good fit for Black Ops, especially since he had already showed such a massive killer intent.

She wasn't sure what Hotaru saw in the kid but the mere fact that his reaction to this stealth section was to attack without first gathering all the information he would need in order to make sure that no back up would come and crash the party was somewhat baffling, though truth be told, Kirie wasn't that much better, she herself had chosen the left path as it was far easier. Hotaru nodded and understood what the boys plan seemed to be before he himself attempted to excecute it, it wasn't the best one and would probably cause him much trouble in a real life combat situation but because this was training, he could afford to learn from his mistakes.

See, before the action could be completed, the back guards would be alerted by the frantic shouts of their comrades but that would come later. The first kunai was stopped by the guard before it hit him in the neck, he grunted and pretended to be struck and fell down on the ground, crashing the table then rolled off to the ground. Kirie peered at Akihiko and followed him as he turned corner, she watched how he tossed another kunai at the second guard, who was already alerted by the fact that his comrade was struck by a kunai though he wasn't "fast" enough to stop the kunai. (He cought it in his hand and pretended to be hit in the chest) The second guard collapsed right as Aki continued towards the third one.

Heres where his plan began to crumble, the man had created a string of planned attackes but lacked any contingency plan, so when he lept in the air, he would notice that the assailant turned around and cought the boy mid-air, one arm holding the attack hand while the other choked the kid. "What the hell? Who are you!? What did you do to my friends?" The visibly angered guard growled at Aki, tension had risen after the first two guards yelped in pain but before the guard could question the kid any further an assist kick to the back of his knee caused him to drop him. Kirie had come to the rescue as she had been hired to, she couldn't believe how reckless he as Aki had now forced them out in the open, but fortunately they were two against one.

Kirie, the Ishiguro, held a blade in her hand in hopes of deterring the guard from attacking her would act as Aki's defender, problem was that if they didn't get a move on then they'd be swarmed by the four other guards who were now in coution mode meaning that if any more loud noises occured then they go into full alert mode, which would mean it's 2 against 4, well, 5 if they didn't manage to get the guard before them. A kick to the mans chest would allow the duo to clear some space, before he would rise up and pull out his sword.

Hotaru, whow as still watching would be prepared to stop the sword strike from cutting the boy if push came to shove, now the child was faced to deal with a situation he caused. The guard would swipe towards their legs, Kirie would leap in the air but was punted by a surprise kick, while Aki would have to deal with the follow up mid level sword strike. Kirie bounced off the maze wall and clutched her ribs as she struggled with the pain, leaving the boy to deal with the situation on his own.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Post by Texas » Tue Nov 21, 2023 10:35 am

The child saw the situation they were in. He had thought that his skills were far better than what he had anticipated. It was clear that him being a genin with little experience has caused.... too much self confidence and not enough realistic expectations. He truly hadn't been in a situation like this, so for him to realize the error in his ways was something he could build and learn from. Based on the mistake he made, there was a lot he could build and learn from...

Akihiko's pink hair flopped as some of the guards either defended, dodged, and/or alerted what was going on. Thankfully he had a comrade with him, however, the boy didn't want help, he wanted to prove his worth after all! The child looked around and realized that the best way to move forward, without using his ability, was to take a way a sense. The boy knew that he could really focus on his hearing, he could be able to not require his own eyes. Like a lightbulb going off above his head, he gazed upon his comrade while reaching for his butt pouch. The boy had just a flash bang left in his weapons pouch, but it would be something he could really utilize in a situation like this. At the very worst, Aki wanted to limit the amount of people that could attack them. Even if there were 4-5, if he could make it 1-2, that would make all the difference in the world.

With that mentality in mind, Akihiko pulled out a flash bang, but did it behind his back so that no one would be able to see but his teammate. It was a sign to close your eyes for a second to make sure it didn't hurt you. With no time to prepare past this, Aki whipped the flash bomb into the air in the middle of the group of men. He would turn his head and close his eyes as the flash bomb went off. The child would whip his head back after the flash went off to see how many it had an effect on and what the status was of the people in the area. If it was successful then Aki would quickly jump forward to start whipping kunai at people, if it wasn't he would have to change his tactic drastically. However, with his eyes he could only see what would happen.

INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!
phpBB [video]

Hotaru was at least somewhat impressed with how the kid thought, though she could tell whenever the boy was panicking as he seemed to act first sometimes, then think about the actions, which wasn't the best option, though she knew better than to be hard on the kid, this was his first legit stealth training it seemed. Hotaru scratched her chin and wondered if he truly was ready for a mission, maybe if she took him with her on a mission and led, so that he could see what he should do in stealth situations, for sometimes it was easier to show than to let them make a fool out of themselves.

Not that Hotaru thought he was, but it was clear that he needed more stealth training and that was why she had been called forth. The superspy chuckled at his display of action and wondered what he would pull off next. I can't say that he is not a good improviser at least, though he needs to learn when to be serious and when to be a kid, or else he might risk... Actually, if he masters that skill then he can lure enemies into thinking that he is not a serious threat and then use that to his advantage. Hotaru scratched her chin as she looked over at Kirie who seemed rather nervous.

It was clear that the second Ishiguro wanted to help but since Akihiko hadn't asked for it, she wouldn't, instead, she gritted her teeth and frowned at the boy who clearly had something to prove. Kirie cursed under her breath and then closed her eyes once she saw that Aki was about to throw a flashbang, Hotaru closed one eye and kept looking at the situation ahead, once the bang went off she would spot that most of the guards were caught, and blinded, which got her to chuckle.

What will you do next Aki? Are you going to use this to your advantage and try to take them out quickly? Well, what about the guards in the rear section of the garden? Now they will surely have noticed that a flashbang was detonated. Truth be told, he should've utilized Kirie's help, just because one was in training did not mean that one had to carry all of the burden, besides, she didn't expect someone who wasn't a stealth expert to be able to clear this level of the stealth course on their own, none of her agents besides Hotaru had done it and that was due to years of mastering the art of stealth.

Kirie couldn't stand just sitting idly any longer and would form a set of hand seals and then toss two kunai at the guards furthest away from Aki, the magnetic chakra covered her skin and allowed her to toss them at strength way beyond her physical capabilities, she sent them flying at the guards at [40] Speed and [15] Strength, in order to not kill them, and hit them center of their armor, once the agents felt the blade connect to their underplate they would fall over as if they had been killed. "Okay, let's get real kid, the guards are now alerted to our presence, we have to finish this before reinforcements arrive."

She would let Aki deal with the last remaining guard, she hoped that he would do it fast so they could remove themselves from this section of the garden, hide and then attempt to sneak past the last part. Hotaru on the other hand chuckled, she couldn't believe that Kirie had now twice on her own volition chosen to interfere, she was almost proud of the sociopath, almost.

Aki felt like he was in a rock and a hard place. However, what he gained from the moment was incredibly useful. The child could hear every little movement and pinned down that there were 3 enemies, how fast they were encroaching, and where their locations were. This gave Akihiko at least an advantage. The boy prided himself on not utilizing the Genma's ability. Especially since he had made a point not to disclose anything further than just the 1st Layer of Limbo. So with the knowledge of the guards in mind. Aki would utilize his Kunai throwing techniques to try to take down these enemies. Utilizing the element of surprise on them, the child would reach into his pouch and take out a kunai at a time and launch them at his enemies. With his new technique, the boy could accurately determine where the opponent would be walking, even without seeing them!

The boy would take out kunai #1 and throw it, then #2 and throw it, and lastly would take out #3 and throw it as well. The kunai would launch in a way to attempt to hit the 3 guards in the stomach. A tough spot to dodge, and yet a not as fatal throw as the other kunai were. The pink haired boy realized that maybe they weren't actual bad guys and really shouldn't be trying to go for the kill. They could have families in Kumo for all he knew!

The child had hoped that his would take them out. Truth be told, between the high active movements and the stress of performing without his ace in the hole... the boy was both mentally strained and utterly tired. In case this didn't work out fully, Aki had to acknowledge his newfound teammate near him. The boy did have a backup plan, but another lesson he had learned was to rely on his teammates when they were around. It was not a sign of weakness it was a sign of trust in others. What would happen next would be entirely determined on the strength of his opponents.

Kirie was in full panic, her body moved on its own as she both defended and struck down another goon for Akihiko's sake, they were in this together and they were going to get out of this jam together, no matter if he wanted her help or not, but from the looks of it it did seem that he did want, which was great, a lesson was learned, both Kirie and Hotaru had been proud of his growth, though the last part the super spy was a bit iffy about, he had chosen to attack rather than to try to sneak around.

Either way, Kirie was ready, her body had already began to channel chakra to form a new jutsu she had thought about on the fly, she grabbed an arrow and placed it between her two fingers then began to channel Jinkiton chakra throughout the damn thing, she looked over at Akihiko as he took down the soldiers except for one, which Kirie soon dealt with. Her arrow would pierce his chest armor and graze his chest, they both would watch as he fell down, more would be on their way if they didn't move but this was Akihiko's game so he would be the one who would have to decide.

"What do we do now, sir?" Kirie finally tried to show him some respect for she didn't want to be in this situation and she knew that if she acted out of her own will then Hotaru would scold her, so she stood next to Akihiko and would follow his next order carefully, she would have another arrow ready between her fingers.

Hotaru had been impressed by both of their ingenuity, both had been able to show that they could come up with new ideas on the fly, pick up and use anything they had to their advantage, especially Aki, who had been advised to train without his Genma, which had proven to give great results, her training was working, Aki was improving as a soldier for Kumogakure, for the first time in a while a smile grew on her face, Kumo was growing stronger and soon no one would be able to stop their growing empire.

With a little bit of training then he will be ready for the Chuunin exam, which he will pass, once he is chuuning ranked I can take him out on a mission where he can really prove that his skills match his mouth. Hotaru started to believe in Akihiko, his charms were getting to her.

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Post by Texas » Sun Mar 03, 2024 6:22 pm

The young impressionable child knew a few things. The first, enemies were coming from their exit location. The second, Aki couldn't use his ability... which unfortunately would be perfect for this situation. The third, Aki had been training in the art of the ninja so he could run with almost complete silence. This training session has really benefitted the Ishiguro brat. The fourth, this partner that has joined him was obviously a stealthy fighter as well. What did this mean? Well two more things; One, she probably could run in silence with him too. Second, if she had her gear on her... which based on her recent activities.... she most likely had a smoke bomb. In what seemed like hours, only seconds passed by before Aki devised a plan.

"We have to run, but our path is blocked. Let's quickly make basic clones to stand here in a position like they are talking. Then I need you," Aki pointed to the exit, "to throw two smoke bombs. One directly on them and one closer to us. We will smoke our entire path, I will handle keeping them running forward. Ready?"

If the child was given any questions he would answer them swiftly. If everything was understood, the child would start executing the plan. He would quickly weave a few hand signs and then release a clone facing in Kirie's direction. He would smile at her gently in a way to try to reassure her that they would be able to get out of this. In hopes that Kirie would follow his lead, Akihiko would reach into his pouch and take out a couple of Kunai before running forward. He would head towards the exit with Kirie hopefully behind him. If she followed the plan, she would have smoked their path causing confusion within the crew trying to come through.

With their vision hidden, Aki would run in a way so that he would be silent. A technique he had recently learned in this training! As they run towards the exit and around the others Aki would whip two kunai behind him back near where their clones were fake conversing. Aki was hoping that the kunai colliding would cause the guards to keep heading forward past them. If they followed the sound and then attacked the basic clones, then it was possible that Kirie and Aki would make it out of there!! However, clearing past the smoke would determine if they were successful or failed.

ALERT!!!
phpBB [video]

Kirie had been trained not to ever question her leaders and Aki being her current one, she would nod and follow his orders, for she knew that Hotaru was watching and if she failed to follow his orders then things would probably not end up well for her. Kirie shot the second magnetic projectile before tossing the smoke bomb where Aki had told her, but instead of fully following his moves she stopped a few meters away from him, crouched down and turned around.

"Go kid! I'll hold them off for as long as possible!" Kirie, being raised a black ops agent always thought about the mission first and the lives of their comrades second (except for Hotaru of course unless ordered otherwise) and turned to fight the incoming swarm of soldiers, for now, that they had entered the alert stage there would be even more soldiers converging on them.

Kirie had trained the art of stealth but had never figured out how to run in total silence like Aki and Hotaru had managed, so she figured that it was prime time to do so now that she was hidden within the smoke. Aki would be able to see a silhouette of a guard being knocked down, Kirie's sucker punch was only strong enough to cause the first guard to fall, but that would be enough for her to be able to respond to the second guard, which was handed a swift kick before she leaped towards Aki's direction.

No matter what, Kirie wasn't going to let them get past her, even if it cost her "life", which was what a true S.T.R.A.T.O.S agent was trained for, but what she had failed to calculate was that Aki was no regular black ops agent, he was special and what he would do next would not only surprise her but Hotaru as well, for she was still capable of seeing through the smoke due to her Clairvoyance.

Let's now see if he chooses the mission first or if he will go for the save. What kind of man will you become young Jinchiruuki and what type of missions can we expect to send you on? What type of results would you produce? Hotaru rubbed her chin before she looked over at her second in command. "Do you think he will try to save her or will he go for the exit?" Hotaru looked at B before they both chuckled, Hotaru snapped her fingers and more men leaped down from the overhead railing to join the guards as reinforcement, for they needed to make this as realistic as possible!

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Post by Texas » Sun Mar 03, 2024 8:51 pm

As the child was running, in his mind they were in the clear. Kirie followed Aki's instructions almost to a tee... or wait did she? Her words cut worse than any insult he had heard, worse than any critique he has been given, and any damage he has sustained. How could Kirie not follow his instructions? Why would she stay back so unnecessarily? It was wild for Aki to be given the task as leader and Kirie break the rules and not follow her leader. Since she broke the rules Aki felt as though he could break the rules as well.

They were ninjas at the end of the day. There were many rules of a ninja but none were always set in stone. In truth, what truly mattered was each individual's Ninja Way. Although Aki was known for being annoying, bratty, and immature... the boy had aspirations. He had goals. The child's goal was not to be a well known ninja (although that would be nice), or survive to be old, no no no. The pink haired brat wanted to be a power house, a true shinobi to fear, a ninja in Kumogakure that is equal part respected and equal part feared. How could he achieve that if he couldn't save an ally in a training exercise. For the pink haired brat of Kumo, nothing would stop him.

The second the child heard that his ally was going to stay back, he quickly weaved hand signs. He muttered to her, "trust me and follow me, go slower if you need to, you won't be seen." His words ended as his hand sign finished and with pinpointing Kirie's location she would disappear from the present realm that she would know. Before her very eyes, the world around her looked exactly the same but in black and white. To her it would look as if she was still in the world but it wasn't colored in. She was in the 1st Layer of the Limbo Realm, she would not be seen by anyone and if she could move or crawl silently, she would never be noticed.

After the completion of the jutsu, Aki continued to run silently past the guards and go around the corner waiting for his ally to arrive. If Kirie were to finally follow his instructions, she would eventually get to Aki safely. If she would end up next to him or near him on the safe side of the end of the exercise, he would release the jutsu and put his hand up for a high five.

Limbo • Remote Shift
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By focusing on a single point within the Limbo Realm, Akihiko is able to remotely shift someone into the next layer. If someone is already residing within the 1st Layer, he can shift them to the second layer or back to the Present Realm. This feat can be performed by channeling chakra or weaving hand signs.

Kirie raised a kunai as she prepared to defend herself from the incoming attack but right as she was to trade blows with the incoming guard her world turned black and white. "What the!?" Ironically those were the exact words Hotaru also said out loud. I see, so he went for the rescue and chose to ignore the rules of not being able to use Limbo... Well... I never said he wasn't allowed, I just said that it would be better... Damn... Can't fail him for that. Hotaru chuckled, though what bothered her was that she wasn't able to see her but for some reason, her nose was still allowed to pick out her scent.

Fascinating, normally Clairvoyance can pick up anything... But to be able to hide from almost all senses that fast is incredible. Hotaru bit the inside of her lips, fortunately for her most of her men had left her side so they couldn't see the jealousy that grew within her eyes. She had spent years perfecting the art of stealth and here Aki got it as a gift from the Kage. I can't say I am not impressed.

Kirie leaped back and looked at Aki. "This is so not Black Ops protocol! Fine!" Who was she to complain, she got to "survive" the mission, the ninja's entire identity was to break the rules for their end goal and if Aki was able to save Kirie and make it to the end then perhaps he wouldn't fail after all. Kirie wasn't there when Aki was told that it would be better if he didn't use it so she had no idea if he was allowed or not.

No matter, from here on out she followed the kid, she slid to a halt next to him as they crossed the finish line. Her arms were crossed but once she saw Aki raise his hand for a hi-5 she would just smirk and shake her head, before being amped that she got to survive this round, the last agent left her behind which meant that she was forced to fight multiple people for a hot minute.

Hotaru had let her fight because it was still part of training but no matter, the exercise was over and with that, the super spy would leap down from the railing and land next to the agents. "Congratulations... I suppose it is a shame you had to use your ability for not using it but, I never said you weren't allowed.

I wouldn't say that this was the worst run I've seen but sometimes one has to figure out their way around the battlefield. But you are not to be blamed for this inconvenience, I was the one that pushed you too early. But! That's why we are here, practice makes perfect!
" Hotaru handed him a report card that read.

"Level 1: SS - Rank, Could've been a bit faster but proved that he is capable of composing himself.
Level 2: S - Rank, Could've explored various options, such as changing into enemy clothes, and could've explored the house for other secrets such as different paths. The improvisational skills are top-notch and should be further improved as it could be an ace up your sleeve.
Level 3: C - Rank, brute force stealth works best when one can back that force up, fortunately, Kirie provided back up, and in the end, with the use of ingenuity and Limbo they managed to get through it."

The Spy, The Host, and the Training?

Post by Texas » Fri Mar 15, 2024 10:18 am

The boy got excited to see the training was over! For his first ever simulation, it was a ton of fun. Something about incredible amount of danger and protecting an ally really got the adrenaline pumping. Aki looked as a figure appeared in front of him. He would bow slightly at his/her appearance. The pink haired child watched as she congratulated him, however she included a BUT! The child nodded as she spoke, but he wanted to at least defend himself. He smirked and spoke up after she told him he wasn't allowed. "I agree, I wanted to go into this not using my techniques I knew... But, if at the end of the day it can save a comrade, then I won't ever hesitate!" The child was a little too uncomfortable to act goofy, instead he was determined to prove himself.

After speaking up, the boy quiet down very quickly. He was breathing heavier than normal, after all... the child did just run out of a dangerous situation. A little blood pumping through him combined with adrenaline caused this reaction. Aki listened as his mentor spoke to him. When she started with, telling him it wasn't the worst run, the only thing that ran through his mind was curiosity. Who else went through this gauntlet?? The child excitedly reached out to grab the report card that he was given. The delinquent hasn't been given one of these since his academy days.

As Akihiko read through it he went from excited to disappointed.

"Level 1: SS - Rank, Could've been a bit faster but proved that he is capable of composing himself.

Level 3: C - Rank, brute force stealth works best when one can back that force up, fortunately, Kirie provided back up, and in the end, with the use of ingenuity and Limbo they managed to get through it."

Frustration came over Aki. He did struggle in the last one. He inadvertently chose the hardest path. True he got a C for needing help... but at the end of the day, the boy was proud that he was able to get her and himself out safely. Even though he broke his own rule of using Limbo. The child smiled softly at Hotaru and Kirie. "Thank you guys for today! Now take me home! I have a lot to work on." The boy would follow the two and eventually be taken home.
