A rather snooty looking man was standing behind the counter of "The Flawless Gem," Kumo's finest dealer in jewelry and jewelry accessories. A small black jewely box had been placed on the counter's glass top and was waiting for the arrival of Lacus and her genin pupils. The man had strict orders to protect the box with his life, but considering he was a coward the priceless piece of jewelry was probably better off in the hands of a pawn broker.

Lacus was up early that day and had gotten ready for her long mission. She stocked up on her poison's, needles, and had her charams laced last night. She was told to meet someone at the jewelry store. This was the first time she had ever been there, even though she was a girl. Most of the time Lacus would rather read, or train then act like all girlish. Though she was ready for anything she hoped that Tristan and Hayate were ready too. She had finally gotten to the store, and walked in.

Lacus seen a man with a case on the display. She walked up to him seeing that he may be a little nervous, this was never a good sign. Lacus decided to keep that on the down low she did not want to scare the man anymore then he was. "Hello there mister I'm Lacus Kamishiro I was told to report here and speak to you about a mission. My teammates should be along soon so we should not have to wait long." She spoke to the man in a calm voice, and hoped that the others would show up soon.

Hayate strolled into the shop, nodding acknowledgingly at Lacus before giving the inside of the jewelry store a once-over.
His mother frequented this store; though the Yuurei clan had money to spare, his father had always found his mother's obsession with beautiful, expensive, shiny things rather amusing.
Their children had suffered for it; as soon as they were old enough to scream expletives, the Yuurei mother had every ear pierced at least twice. The only saving grace was that he and his brothers had only had their left ears pierced...his sisters weren't so lucky.
'God,' he thought, fingering the pierced cartilage aside his head, 'and I'd thought I'd wanted to kill myself then. Night training hadn't even started yet.'
What the fuck kind of mother put her kids under a sensitivity genjutsu before piercing their ears and kissing them goodnight?!
Hayate's gaze narrowed as his eyes settled on a rather large Fabergé egg in a spotless glass case.
'Her and her stupid trinkets.'
He bowed politely to the snooty looking man by the counter and stayed close to Lacus, murmuring-
"Isn't Faron-kun coming with us?"

Slumping out of bed and lazily walking out was how Tristan started her day. She didn't want to do this. She really didn't want to. She'd rather stay home like Rengeki. But she was forced into it. She began to wonder if she ever had a say in anything at all. Sighing, she just decided to ignore it and start moving faster.

When she got to the area, she noticed that Hayate and Lacus were there already. She ran over once she saw them and waved when she got closer. "Hi Lacus-sensei. Hi Hayate." She bowed politely to the man, a smile on her face, and said, "Hello sir. I am Tristan Kasumo"

"And I couldn't care less." the man standing across the counter answered in a smug tone with an even more smug expression on his face. If his nose could reach any higher it would have got smacked by the ceiling fans overhead.

The man gestured towards the small box on the glass counter top and addressed Lacus, clearly the oldest of the group, while ignoring the other shinobi entirely. "It is of vital importance that this necklace is delivered to our client in a very timely manner. If it isn't delivered by today then our gracious patron will be most upset, which will make the owner of this store upset, which will make me very fired and unemployed. So if it isn't too much to ask, don't stop by any "ninja store" you may see along the way, or whatever it is you shinobi do for fun."

The man was clearly either too ignorant to realize that he had just insulted four separate people that could kick his ass without breaking a sweat, or he just enjoyed insulting people so much that he realized this and he just didn't care. Either way, Lacus and her squad had been briefed and were ready to head out.

Lacus seen her two teammates show up, both in a timely manner this time. She walked over to both of them trying to give them both a hug, and kiss on the check. This was just her normal way of showing that she is happy to see them. Hayate asked where the last person of their team was at. Lacus had checked in with him before but found out he was very sick. "Rengeki is very sick with MMORPGitus it is very contagious and I don't want you both to get it. So I ordered him to stay at home and get better so he do his normal ninja stuff sooner."

That is when her direction was moved towards the man. He was rather rude to them all, but after listening to him Lacus understood. His job was on the line so he must have been rather nervous about all of this. Seeing as now she got her orders from the man it would be best to take off right away, so that they can make everyone happy. "Alright Mr. you stay with me and show us the way, Hayate and Tristan you take point. Now lets go everyone!"

The well dressed man nodded and stuck his nose high into the air as he walked out of the store. Once outside he rummaged through his pocket and produced a small black box, inside the box was a small compass with several notes etched into the inside of the lid.

"Ah yes, this way please." the man said calmly as he took off at a dead sprint towards the gates of Kumo. He moved with surprising speed, especially by snooty clerk standards.

Lacus followed the man as he took off towards the gate. She decided that It would be better not to talk to him to much. Seeing that he had a very rude attitude when he did speak to her. Lacus kept her eye out for anything strange as they moved.

As the man cleared the border of the village hidden in the clouds he made an immediate right, making a bee line for a rocky path that spiraled up and around a towering mountain.

This pass had been known to be dangerous for several reasons. Firstly, mudslides were a common occurrence during this time of year, as were falling rocks (although those don't really need a season). Secondly, wildlife seemed to lurk around every crevice. In fact, as the clerk made his way up the rocky path several large lizards and birds darted from their hiding places towards better ones.

And lastly, rogue ninja would not pass up a chance to attack a lone jounin and a harmless looking clerk. Especially when said jounin was carrying a priceless piece of jewelry that they could sell to some shady figure and make a fortune.

"Well... look what we have here." a lone man muttered atop the rocky mountain Lacus and the Clerk were currently making their way up. His large binoculars were only slightly larger than his large, bulging eyes and the only hair on the man's scalp was a single curled lock of brown hair.

It goes without saying, he wouldn't be winning any body lifting competitions anytime soon.

He twisted a knob on the binoculars to get a better view of his new prey, he grinned when he saw that there were only two of them. And, even more importantly, only one of them seemed to be a shinobi. "That's just plain reckless." the man commented in his weaselly, cowardly voice.

But instead of bum rushing down the mountain towards the two he turned his head towards a nearby rock. A small, brown rat was perched on top of the boulder, its beady eyes staring into its masters own, monstrous pair.

"Eeep eeep skreet squueeek" the man "said" to the rat quickly, as if he was talking to an old friend. The rat nodded and bolted off.

Lacus just kept up with the man for now, not really feeling at ease with this place. Knowing of some of the disasters that plagued this part of the country. She kept her eye out for anything that could come out of anywhere, wile keeping up right next to the jewel dealer.

A few minutes after the man had spoken with his rat friend, said rat had managed to gather many of his siblings. And by many, I mean several hundreds of them. They silently scurried through the labyrinth of crevices running through the mountain and along the boulders littering the mountain paths. Ultimately they would converge on the Clerk and Lacus's position, creating one of the most unusual ambushes in the history of mankind.

Rats literally poured out of the rocks around the jounin and jewelry clerk, giving the ground the appearance of a furry brown tidal wave. Though these rats were basically your every day rodents, they were still very hungry and weren't afraid to get up close and personal.

The lone missing nin cackled happily to himself as he watched his minions surrouns and swarm towards his prey. "Once my beauties finish off the scraps I'll just waltz down there and borrow anything I find interesting." he muttered.

Lacus then heard something coming, soon a wave of rats was about on her and the man. She did some quick hand seals then expelled a large yellow cloud all around her and the jeweler. Then drew her chakrams with lighting speed and made a hand seal throwing one of them in front of her. She tried to cut a path so then they can get through, wile making another hand seal to control the chakram and cut threw as many as she could. "Keep moving down the path I'm trying to make!" She felt bad for the small creatures, but knew they would be in trouble if she had not done what had to be done.

It is a yellow colored poison, and its effects vary depending on the manner of administration. A skilled poison user can learn the Hebi Ryuu style. It is recognizable by the color of the poison that surrounds the attacking jutsu or item (be it a weapon or body part). The user forms a couple of hand seals and expels a large cloud of poison from their gullet. Any person that inhales even a small amount of the poison will be subject to its effects. It is a C-Ranked technique, so the poison will remain in the target’s system for 5 posts.

Chakram Throw
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
prerequisite: Chakram
After the right hand seals Lacus is able to channel chakra into her chakram, and throw it harder and further then she normally would. The distance the chakram is able to be thrown for is equaled to as much chakra is channeled into the chakram.

Chakram Control
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
prerequisite: Chakram
after the correct hand seal she is able to control her chakram once thrown. This is used so she is able to have it attack multiple times if needed, but more importantly to return to Lacus once thrown. She is not able to completely control it, though its able to make big turns in the air. This lasts for three posts before the chakram returns to Lacus.

Hayai na Hiku [Quick Draw]
D-Rank Taijutsu
By training herself in the routine of readying her weapon for use, Lacus has learned to draw and prepare her weapon within less than a second.

Lacus's chakram sliced through the wave of rats converging on her and the Clerk, quickly forming a small path through the angry rodents. The cloud of poisonous gas also took its tole on the rats, dozens of the small creatures simply flopped to the ground because of their inability to move.

The man atop the hill was not the slightest bit happy at seeing his pets being slaughtered. "That bitch..." he hissed through his teeth, which were clearly exposed because of the snarl on his face. He glanced over to his right and waved forward, giving his second group of rats the signal to advance.

Just like before, the second wave of rodents scurried out of practically every crevice in sight. Although there was something slightly different about this swarm. To the Clerk's horror he watched as rats rigged with explosive tags darted towards him and his jounin escort.

"Oh my god, I don't want to get blown up! Especially by rats!" he wailed as he ran at a full sprint, his arms flailing through the air wildly.

Lacus then seen another wave of rats coming at them, this time something was different though. She seen exploding tags on them, and knew they had to get out of there. As the man spoke she returned her chakram to herself. Then grabbed the mans hand, as she then move with great speed then started to vanish up the side of the mountain with the jeweler. Not looking back to see the explosions behind her, Lacus stopped where a man was in front of her but he did not look right. As if there was something fishy about him. "Stay close behind me for now."

"What in the world is that thing?!" the Clerk wailed as he hid behind Lacus and pointed at the bug eyed man standing in front of them.

"I'm a guy, you jackass." the nearly bald man spat back, his tiny hands clenched and shaking in rage. "You think you can just kill my pets like that, huh? Well try this on for size!"

After biting through the skin of his thumb with one of his abnormally sharp canines he rounded off a set of hand seals before slamming his open palm to the ground. A circular web of seals stretched out across the ground below him only a moment before a massive grey cloud of smoke enveloped the area.

Before the smoke even cleared a massive, pink, hairy tail whipped high into the air and slammed into the ground, causing the ground under Lacus and the Clerk's feet to shake violently. In a matter of moments the beast's limbs became exposed. Each leg was nearly twice as tall as a normal human and was covered entirely in white, sparse fur.

"They are the ones that killed your children!" the bug eyed man shrieked from atop the massive rat's back. He was sitting in a small leather saddle and shaking his fist angrily at Lacus and her companion. "Eat them at once!"

With that command the massive white rat lunged forward, swinging its right, front paw at the two humans.

Lacus seen a large rat jump for them, after it slammed its tail on the ground. This was not going to be good if she did not act fast. She grabbed the jeweler to try and jump out of the way. Then Lacus did some hand seal, and grabbed her chakrams with great speed. She threw both of them one at the rat the other at the man. Lacus did another hand seal, to control her chakrams once again. She sent the one at the rat to go, straight for its throat. The other chakram went straight for the mans chest, hoping to end this soon with small amount of damage to everyone. "Stay behind me I will keep you safe."

Lacus felt bad for what she was doing to the man and the rat thing. They bother were living creatures, ans she was being forced to fight them. She could tell that there was no way to convince this man that there was no need for violence. Lacus wished for nothing more to end this peacefully, but could tell there was no way that was going to happen. So she was going to protect this man with her life.

The rat screeched in fury as the two humans in front of it jumped to safety, its razor sharp claws tearing through the rocky ground where they had been standing only moments before. Before Lacus could counter attack with her chakrams the rat had regained its balance, its hind legs were bent and its head was lowered as if it was ready to pounce at the slightest movement.

With incredible speed for an animal so massive the rat bolted to the right, barely avoiding the razor sharp chakrams flying through the air towards it and its master. The rat, while moving at full speed towards Lacus and the Clerk, whipped around and swung its massive tail towards them.

Lacus seen that she missed, and so predicted another attack. This time she was not going to back down from the attack. Though she was going to finish this once and for all, so as soon as the chakrams missed she controlled them to fly back at the man and the rat. This time from the back of there heads most likely in there blind spot. As she braced herself to be hit by its tail. Though she had used her style to make her hands a bad thing to touch. "Get down under it or jump over it!" She yelled out to the jeweler to try and keep him safe.

This poison and its antidote can be created internally by a shinobi who has undergone specific training with poisons. It can be secreted in either liquid or gaseous form. It is a sky blue colored poison, That makes the target sleep after a certain time of administration. This is a special poison that Lacus had made herself with her vast knowledge of medicine and poisons. After the poison enters the targets body the first post it will make there body feel heavier and very sleepy then on the next post it will make the target lose consensus and pass out. This will last for three posts unless stated otherwise.

Taijutsu techniques of the Hebi Ryuu style deal both physical and poisonous damage. The user attacks with claw-shaped hands, weaving around the target to find an opening. When they do, the user grabs hold of the target - sometimes more than once - and releases poison either directly from skin to skin, or onto their clothing, which will in turn apply the poison through the target's skin. It is a C-Ranked technique, so the poison will remain in the target’s system for 5 posts.

completely ignoring the jounin's words, the Clerk decided that he was tired of being the one who had to be protected. "Get down!" he yelled as he watched the massive rat's tail swinging through the air towards Lacus. The well dressed man leaped forward and tackled the kunoichi out of the way, the rat's tail passed over the Clerk's head by only a few inches and they both slammed to the ground.

Unfortunately for the Clerk, he had accidentally grabbed on to Lacus's poison ridden hand in the process. "Did you... see that? I.... totally...." the man said sleepily before yawning loudly and passing out right on top of the jounin.

As for the rat and its master, they hadn't been able to see the kunoichi's chakrams in time. The man, being considerably smaller and less protected than the rat, flopped out of his saddle a head shorter than he used to be. The rat, however, had managed to escape with only a scratch. But due to Lacus's poison the rat soon began to stumble around on top of the mountain as it struggled to stay awake.

In the end it lost all sense of direction and attempted to fling itself at Lacus and the Clerk one last time, but instead it only managed to leap head first into a large boulder. A sickening thud rang throughout the mountain top as the rat slumped to the ground and began snoring loudly.

Lacus was shocked to find out the man, had tried to save her. This was a very nice thing he did, but totally messed with her plans. She could tell he was falling asleep from her poison. Then looked over to see the person dead. This hurt her deep down inside, but she knew that it was the only way to save the jeweler. The rat seemed to be asleep, after it hit a rock hard. Lacus then took out a needle and gave the man the antidote to her poison, and helped him up. "Come on we need to get going before the rat wakes up." She then waited for the man to get going before the rat woke up to their destination, as her chakrams returned to her.

The man's eyes fluttered open as Lacus administered the antidote to the poison running through his body. He thanked her quietly as she helped him up, even though his legs still felt a little like cooked spaghetti, he managed to stay upright.

Then he looked over at the massive sleeping rat only a few strides away and grinned before running over to it, completely unaware that it was still alive. He began kicking it in the side as hard as he could and screaming at the top of his lungs, "Not so tough now, huh?? That'll teach you to mess with me!"

The rat rolled lazily over onto its side, which caused the Clerk to shriek like a little girl and run behind Lacus for cover. "That thing's still alive! What in the hell are we just standing here, let's go!" With that the man sprinted for the path that would lead down the sloping mountain and towards a small town.

Lacus followed the man after he kicked the rat a few time, and screamed like a little girl. She giggled a bit under her breath when he did. Though it would have been heard with the screaming of the jeweler. Though they made there way down the path and to the village. Lacus kept her eye out for anything else along the way, just in case.

Only a few minutes after their encounter with the rogue ninja and his over sized rodent summon, Lacus and the Clerk stepped into the small village at the base of the mountain. The village was known for its wealth and luxury, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting some dude in a monocle or a woman with an outrageously expensive hat if you visited.

The Clerk made a bee line for one of the largest houses in the village. Once he and Lacus made it to the front door the man turned to the kunoichi and said, "A thousand thanks for your help, but I'll handle this from here on out." he held a gloved hand out expectantly and continued, "You fight the big rodents and I'll sell the jewelry."

Lacus just followed him as the jeweler did his thing to make sure the mission was compleated. She was releaved when they made it to the village safe and sound. That and they made it there with little resistance. Over all it was a good mission and she was happy it was almost over.

the Clerk rapped his knuckles against the heavy wooden door and almost immediately a middle aged woman in an elegant maid's uniform answered with a pleasant smile.

"Good evening ma'am, I'm an employee of "The Flawless Gem" and I've traveled from Kumo to deliver an important package to the owner of this house. If you would be so kind, I'd like to speak with him as soon as it is possible." the man said in a smooth, polite tone. It was an unexpected change of tone for the man, but he knew that if he was impolite now he could very well loose the client's interest in their business.

The maid nodded and welcomed the Clerk into the house. Before he stepped through the threshold the Clerk turned to Lacus and said, "It was fun while it lasted, but let's not ever do that again."

And with that he stepped into the house, leaving Lacus alone on the front porch.

Lacus waited outside wile the jeweler went into the house to do his thing. She then seen that the mission was compleated so she whent back to her village to report in to the Raikage.
