D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Sou will concentrate wind-type chakra into his hand, gathering it there and holding it for up to a maximum of three posts before it dissipates, though while holding this technique he cannot perform other Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. At any point during the next three points, Sou can release the built up chakra whenever he throws a projectile, resulting in a gust of wind that bolsters the weapon, effectively granting it +1 Strength. This technique can only be used on weapons no larger than a Fūma Shuriken.
As he brought his chakra into his hand as the scroll said to, performing the hand seals the entire time in order to guide it, he separated the chakra into two distinct waves and brought them back together again, grinding the chakra together to create the Wind-Nature he was looking for. It was a difficult and annoying process, but something he needed to get used to if he wanted to be able to use this technique in the heat of battle. Once he had gathered the chakra like the scroll had instructed, he held it there for a moment, trying to gauge whether or not it would be enough.
"Only one way to find out I suppose."
Standing up, leaving the scroll on the grass he had been sitting on, he took a kunai from his thigh pouch and aimed at one of the nearby training dummies. He was in a training ground, one that was used fairly often but thankfully didn't have too many people in at the moment. Bringing his arm back, he flung it forward and released the kunai at the dummy. He knew how deep the attack would go with his normal strength, this technique should hopefully increase that. He released the chakra he had built up in his hand, closing one eye as the wind exploded outward following the path his kunai was taking.
As soon as the wind caught the kunai, rather than propelling it forward as the scroll had described, it only served to knock the kunai off balance. So when it hit the dummy, it bounced right off, doing as much damage as throwing a rock at the damn thing would have. Letting out a sigh of frustration, he started forming the hand seals again. He'd probably need a more controlled burst of chakra in order to better direct the wind stream and propel the kunai forward.
It was a sweating and slightly panting Sou that glared at the dummy, numerous kunai and shuriken littered in and around it. He was getting closer; his first few attempts had either been too weak or too broad to really do more than serve as a hindrance to his normal throws, now he had finally gotten the hang of controlling the wind burst.
He brought his chakra up one more time, knowing this would be his last attempt of the day. He didn't have enough chakra left to attempt it again lest he risk a case of full-blown chakra exhaustion, which he knew from experience kind of sucked. The chakra grinded together as it gathered in his hand, converting into wind-type. That stage was becoming second nature after performing the same thing over and over again for the last several hours. The chakra gathered, Sou let out a slow, even breath, and threw his last kunai. The wind surged fourth from his hand not a fraction of a second later, surrounding the kunai and pushing it forward.
It was with a satisfying thump that the kunai impacted the wooden training dummy. He walked over to it slowly, a little uneven as he was starting to really feel his exhaustion set it. The kunai was buried up to the hilt, far deeper than he normally managed. With a slight grin, Sou didn't even bother trying to extract the weapon or clear his mess, he simply found a patch of grass clear of any pointy objects and collapsed.
