The genin was so impatient...But he had a solution, and the decision he came to was quite...Odd.
Earlier that morning the genin woke up at dawn, just like he always did. Isamu was never one to sleep in or take a day off chilling at home, he always had something to do...And today this something was to get stronger! It was a day to train, and spar!
He spent a good thirty minutes on his own breakfast, preparing, serving and eating. The boy always woke up before his parents did, because of this he recently began to make his own breakfast instead of waiting for his mother to wake up, just so he could get to his daily life as a Shinobi even earlier.
As Isamu was returning his plate he heard footsteps coming down the stairs as he saw the figure of his father emerging, looking as tired as ever as he groaned and yawned in exhaustion. The boy quickly greeted his father with a hug as they both sat down and began to engage in some small-talk.
About half an hour into the conversation and mindless chatter his mother had already woken up too and prepared their own breakfast, his father was already more awake at this time and Isamu finally figured it was time to ask what he wanted to ask since he woke up.
''Dad, think we can spar today?! I'm pretty sure I can beat you'' The boy asked with a big grin, trying to somewhat challenge and taunt his own father into accepting his request, but his grin turned into a frown quite quickly as he looked upon his dad's face turning into a frown as well.
''I...I'm sorry Isamu...I simply don't have time lately, don't you have any other Shinobi you can train with? Your old man ain't much of a challenge to you right now anyway, you're just too strong, haha!'' He tried to laugh off, still feeling somewhat bad that he had to disappoint his son like that.
Isamu's eyebrows raised at what his father said, other shinobi...? Right. Isamu couldn't believe it...Why hadn't he thought of that before? The problem is though...Isamu didn't know any other Shinobi to train with, all of his life he had trained with his father and it was about time to change that.
The boy's frown changed into a slight smile again as he nodded towards his father. ''Right, good idea dad...I'll go do that.'' He replied as Isamu stood up, making his way to his room and sitting down infront of his desk, his 'thinking spot'.
The boy spent a good 15 minutes thinking of ways to get other Shinobi to train with him, he could simply go around asking...But that was pretty awkward to the boy. After deciding that the best possible way was to spread posters around town asking other Shinobi to meet him in the training fields, he ran into his dads room and grabbed a small pile of paper, a large inkpot and a quill before running back to his own room hastily.
Easily an hour of writing the same message passed, and Isamu's wrist was seriously killing him, but he was finally finished! Satisfied with his work, he grabbed a hammer and a fair amount of nails before hurrying outside with his self-made 'posters'.
The boy spent the next hours jogging around town spreading his posters around places of interest, and where lots of shinobi would often come across. Lots of weird looks and silent judging later, Isamu made his way to the training fields and sat atop a rock, overlooking the entire fields for his future training partner to arrive.
My name is Ryuu, Isamu, a 12 year old genin and future Taijutsu master!
I'm looking for a training buddy just as determined as me to get stronger.
If you're interested, meet me in the training fields!
(I'm the one that wears a lot of blue!)
-Isamu.
