[Raikage's Office] - The Simian Sage [Open to all]

Hayasu yawned lazily, feet perched upon his desk with his chair tilted on it's hind legs. "How boring. The Raikage leaves for Konoha to talk of peace, and I'm stuck here assigning missions and helping administer the village. I'm not surprised if that fool did it to get out of paperwork for a while." Hayasu said with a sigh, flicking a crumb at Kureiji, who also lay about, strung up in a makeshift hammock above Hayasu's temporary office. The Raikage had personally requested him, detailing that he was going on a trip and not to share the location with anyone until after he had been long gone. This was passed only to his most trusted, though despite protest, he wouldn't take an official bodyguard or escort. Admirable, possibly even a little heroic, but a tad foolish in Hayasu's eyes. At least he could of taken his apprentice, the bastard.

Thus far, it had been a quiet week around Kumogakure. Due to the Raikage's presence and the populaces changed views of heroism, Kumogakure had quieted down significantly. Crime within the village had plummeted, but various rogue bandit groups still trying to exploit the country after war still remained. Hayasu had personally led several raids, decimating some of the strongest groups to help stabilize the vast mountain ranges. However, organizations of that level were a lot harder then merely snuffing them out. Hayasu compared it to weed pulling, no matter how hard you dig, weeds and always found a way back.

He still had a few missions in regards to taking a few groups out, but past that, most missions needing a team could easily be finished by Genin or Chuunin. "Ah well, maybe if it continues to be so slow I'll head over to the Academy early to check on things. The old man muttered something about it at least, inspiring new generations or some crazy thing." Hayasu muttered again outloud. Consistant isolation lead to a habit of him talking to himself or Kureiji. Both were about as equally productive most of the time. He longed for combat, the rush of wind past his ears, the sounds of battle, being pushed to his limits. Yet here he sat, confined until further notice, the boredom seething into his mind like the worst kinds of Genjutsu. Hopefully a team needing a mission would at least come in soon, it would be nice to see some of the newer faces of Kumo having been in the mountains for so long.
