[dropshadow=white][color=black][b][Augment Fuuinjutsu • Taishouangouka no Kagi][/b][/color][/dropshadow]
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
Mariya draws a seal with a unique pattern and then performs the appropriate hand seals causing the seal to project forward onto a jutsu or person up to 15 meters away at [Control] speed. Jutsu "marked" by this fuuinjutsu will be encrypted, stopping it from being controlled, kai'd, or interacted with by anyone that doesn't possess the same seal themselves.

D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
Mariya draws a seal with a unique pattern and then performs the appropriate hand seals causing the seal to project forward at a target up to 15 meters away at [Control] speed. The resulting fuuinjutsu allows Mariya to track the marked something or someone put to 1KM away.

D-Rank Force Fuuinjutsu
Mariya performs the proper hand seals and then draws a line on the ground, imbuing and storing raw chakra within the line and arming the technique. When crossed,
some kind of bond

- seal defense-
By having an empty surface with a seal formula placed on it, the user is able to use the seal as a defensive measure. Holding a single, one-handed hand seal, the user attempts to block the incoming projectile with the surface. Right before contact is actually made, the projectile will be sealed into the seal. While strong, the seal must be the same size or larger than the projectile it is attempting to seal. This seal can protect up to the user’s [Control] in Strength. Once used to seal and then release again, the seal will need to be rewritten. The user can only seal objects up to their ([Control]*2)m^3 in size.

[Binary Fuuinjutsu]
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
Mariya has devised a new system that allows her seals to be modular, networkable, and twice as small as conventional seals. This is accomplished by refining her chakra control when drawing a seal and using chakra to enhance her movements, making it such that drawing a single line actually is drawing hundreds of micro-seals, giving her seals incredible density. Fuuinjutsu made utilizing Binary Fuuinjutsu add an extra chakra cost equivalent to a chakra kai technique usage.

[Repeated Release]
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After forming the needed hand seals Mariya holds a one-handed seal and makes contact with a storage seal with her other hand, causing it to release up to 3 sealed objects at [Control] strength/speed up to 15 meters away in a straight line and close spread. As long as she is holding the final one-handed seal she can continue to fire up to 5 more times for a total of 15 objects.

[Ten-Fold Seal]
B-Rank Force Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: [Binary Fuuinjutsu]
Completely impractical during combat to a point of taking 1 full post to create, the ten-fold seal as the name suggests actually consists of several lower ranked fuuinjutsu linked together. After drawing the seal, the user performs the correct hand seals then presses their hand to the seal, charging it. At this point, the seal is finished. At any point, the sealed individual can utilize kai to "open the seal", causing their body to be wrapped by a seal pattern and absorb an incoming energy source from the following ten: kinetic, ninpou, fire, earth, wind, water, lightning, or any of the others. When an energy has been absorbed, it can be rereleased in an outward blast from the wielder of the seal via kai. Only one energy source can be sealed at a time.

Mariya Training

Post by Taiga » Fri May 06, 2022 11:14 am

Mariya sat still in the deep caves of the Kumogakure Black Ops headquarters, hidden deep beneath the mountains. Banri had been particularly rough with his newest recruits, including Mariya, even if she was his daughter. While she had mentally been prepared far beyond her biological age and far beyond that of her peers, her body was still a weak vessel that needed to be molded into something useful before she could be a proper agent. Thus, like her peers, she would participate in the agility trainings led by Banri's elite Jounin Black Ops operative- Kinder. Kinder looked to the side then back to the recruits.

"The first to the top of the lava caves gets to stop training for today- everyone else will repeat laps until they die of exhaustion or become a winner in the next batch." he said as he kicked back and leaned against a wall, looking at all the fresh meat before him. Mariya was in for a less than fun time, but hey, when was being a shinobi ever a particularly fun thing. "As you know- well, you know the drill. On my mark." he said as he raised his finger up. "Get set." he smiled. There was no go, only the sound of an explosive fireball shooting out from his finger.

Mariya sprang into action. The caverns they were currently in were icey- to go fast required one to be very careful- or clever. Activating her water running technique/tree climbing technique she gave herself traction as a few other recruits struggled to figure it out at first. They slid around like idiots until they figured out what Mariya and a few of the others had done to have traction. Using her lead, she'd build up tremendous enough speed to clear the frigid waters and leap forward and up to a cliff formation- her hand grabbing on as she hoisted herself up at the same time as at least 8 other recruits. They'd be neck and neck, and Mariya certainly had no desire to repeat this training. This cliff read to the next set of caverns, and as they went deeper down, the caverns would get hotter and hotter. This time, the cavern was filled with stalactites and stalagmites making it damn near impossible to traverse and worse, potentially a death trap given any mistakes would have you colliding with a spike of stone. Mariya gulped as she drew her kunai and wires. Tossing them about she anchored certain wires and kunais all over, and some from the ceiling, till she had a web of sorts of wires. Testing them, they were taught enough to carry her weight.

This indeed wasn't just about being fast, but also thinking fast! Mariya ran and lept, using a kunai handle from the top of one wire to slide and sail through the cavern with her momentum until she reached the next ledge. Pulling herself up onto it, she continued onwards, looking back to see others using her wires. She however was in the lead for now- that was until a Doton ninja sailed right up through the ground in front of her and took off running. She bit her lip. Damn- those elemental ninja were really something in their own right. Mariya would slide down the path into the next set of caverns only to find that they were... normal. Just a winding path as anyone would have expected. Gritting her teeth she stealed herself for a straight out sprint, and hit the ground running as she took off neck and neck with the other guy. Heh. She would have to be faster than him and damn right she would. Pulling out in front of him her feat pounded, left right left right left right one after the other in rapid succession. Left right left right. Her steps had become bounds and her bounds leaps as like a majestic gazelle she propelled herself up the path and towards a light- it was a path that would exit the caves and take them outside around the sides of the mountain. It was however the fastest way to reach the foot of the mountain- where the entrances to the lava caverns would be. Ya had to go up to throw yourself down and slide with rapid speed or something like that. Mariya smiled as she lunged off the cliff into a slide on her heels. The dirt flying all around her. She once more was able to take the lead. As she flew down the cliff she realized, at some point, she needed to stop her momentum. She'd do so by swinging her hands round with kunais, digging them in to the walls. They'd drag along with her as they cut through the stone until finally they stopped, and she did too abruptly, rolling a little and hitting a larger rock with a loud thwack. She had no time to deal with it and would have to walk off the pain, quickly going back to a standing and limping just a little before getting back to full speed. It would be easy to keep her lead for now, though there were at least four hot on her trail now. Going through the new entrance, she would descend on another path within the cave running as fast as she absolutely could. Hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult.

Before long she'd notice someone right on her tail, but she wouldn't falter. THe finish line was so close by. She wasn't going to lose here. Putting the pedal to the metal she sped forward until she was the first one to hit the climbing wall- the last obstacle behind the lava caverns. Hand over foot, hand over foot, one by one. She bouldered the wall and made her way up, still neck and neck with the other recruit. At this point, the other recruit decided to play dirty and he kicked at Mariya's leg. Mariya began to fall as a result, but grabbed at his leg in the process. He gripped on for dear life and tried to shake his leg to get Mariya to fall, but she persisted. Drawing a kunai with a wire, she tied it to his leg gently, then slammed the kunai into the wall as she "leaped" back onto the wall, bouldering on her own. He wouldn't realize the rather short leash around his ankle, and at some point when he reached to go higher, he'd find a hard resistance yanking him back down. It was with that that Mariya would make it to the top first.

Looks like she wouldn't be running anymore today.
Well, it wouldn't stop there... she was free of training that night, but the next morning she would wake up to an extremely loud pot and pan banging. As was the classic way the other assholes woke one another up. She let out a little grr before she stood up from her bed and joined the line of soldiers. It looked like there was no competition his time, just that they would need to run their morning laps and jogs to stay fit like Banri preferred. Mariya let out a sigh as the chant started and she needed to start running and jogging with the group. She really hated this kind of stuff but she had no choice but to do it. At the same time however, moment s like these were refreshing. It was her rare chance to be outside of her "pod", outside of her "tube" before Banri put her back in. Hmph.

Now running at a full brisk pace, Mariya looked to the girl next to her as they ran. She opened her mouth and let out a sigh. "So- this is turning out to be such a fun thing, isn't it?" She said to Mariya, as the two continued to jog. LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IVE BEEN TOLD. AKINO SMELLS LIKE DIRTY MOLD> AKINO SMELLS LIKE DIRTY MOLD. LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT. BANRIS LEFT NI?.. LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT... The chants went on and on and Mariya didn't really get the humor aspect or camaraderie of such crude speak, but it seemed to keep most of them in good spirits.

"Yeah, it's uh. Not great but its better than being cooked up in my pod." Mariya said matter of fact between the chants to the other girl. The other girl was a little confused and didn't really get it- because everyone else was normal and while Mariya did not fully understand it, she was a weird one for being grown in a pod. She continued onwards. Step after step as the pair moved through the dirty mud of the training cavern, round after round. Continuing on, Mariya looked to the other girl. "What's your top speed? I am pretty slow still but I'm hoping to get a little bit faster." she said as she stepped forward, picking her pace up to match a step above the other girl. The other girl smiled as she stepped up her pace.

"Faster than you, I promise you that!" she said with a laugh. The two girls nodded as the picked up their speed, picking up and moving form the back of the pack to the center of it. They'd hold that pace for a while moving forward in tandem. It seemed they would be good friends. "I think I can go faster than that." Mariya said as she put all her power into her lower body, her legs bursting forward with explosive force as she moved forward. This was true power. She grinned. She was a few leads ahead of the other girl now. The other girl would smile as she continued forward too, pulling up to Mariya, then likewise in a burst of speed taking the lead past her. This was a rivalry, if you could call it that. This was something that Banri liked to see.

Up from above on a ledge in the cavern he watched his daughter and her new rival as the gears turned in his head. The many ways she could die. The many ways she could be of use to crafting his daughter into a perfect weapon and tool. It was truly endless! Unknown to Mariya however she would enjoy her new friendship. Once more she put power into her legs, an dnow into her core too. Her arms and legs were moving in sync as her steps turned to leaps and leaps to bound. The other girl also turned her steps to leaps and to bounds as the two's arms went behind them as they sailed through the air like hsinobi. This incredible pace had led both them to the front of the pack, but the others were still managing to keep up. It wasn't all that bad.

"So, we're top of the class or something?" the other girl taunted to Mariya. Mariya grinned. "I think so." she said. The other girl sped up more, moving past her, then said to her "NAH, MAINLY JUST ME." Not wanting to lose she burst forward matching her new rival and friend once more. They were now way ahead of anyone else. Not that it meant much of anything. Heh. This was what it took. TO be the best.

As the girls continued running forward Banri would scratch his chin, continuing to watch. Perhaps Mariya, despite her failure to clone the Ninth Raikage, would be a useful asset after all. She had natural talent. Yes, yes she would be useful to the Black ops after all, or at the very least, be a great tool to get to that pesky Ninth Raikage. The possibilities for how to use her were really limitless to be honest.

As the jog finished and the two caught their breaths, they smiled, giving each other a high five.

"Same time tomorrow eh?" the other girl joked. Mariya didn't really get jokes, but nodded passionately.

Mariya Training

461/450 for Taishouangouka no KagiShow
Mariya needed to train a new Augment Fuuinjutsu- a type of sealing jutsu that could, with any luck, change the way she handled higher threats. If anything during that horrible mission and fighting those two brothers taught her, it was that she was too weak. The move, as she conceptualized it, would be titled Taishouangouka no Kagi. It was a seal that could mark things to "encrypt" them, meaning it would prevent anyone else from activating the seal who didn't have the same seal themselves. Fuuinjutsu were great but something that often bothered Mariya was the security of them- anyone could in theory activate a fuuinjutsu.

Mariya worked tirelessly and sat up at her desk, her brush in her hand. Designing a new seal was not easily, especially one that required advanced chakra manipulation in order to make micro seals inside of her seals. She would need to research carefully and through trial and error work out what would do best. It wasn't going to be easy.

"You seem to be really into your work."

Mariya looked over at the door to see her father standing there with a tray of tea in his hands. He was smiling at his daughter, but there was a look of concern in his eyes. "It's just a seal, Lord Raikage." Mariya said, turning back to her work. The Raikage frowned. "I know, but it seems like you're working on it a bit too hard, and please, just call me dad."[/b] he said as he sat the tray down on Mariya's desk. "You need to take a break every once in a while, or you'll burn yourself out." "I'm fine, dad" Mariya said, her eyes never leaving her work. "I just want to get this right." she said, as Hayate exited the room. It was best to let her be. He sighed. This drive was something that at least might pay off.

With new knowledge of seals and fuuinjutsu, she was able to make this seal more complex and intricate than before, which in turn made it more powerful. She just was failing to get one thing right- it wasn't obscure enough to chakra. It wasn't exactly what was needed, but it was so close, and it drove her mad. Her hand moved slowly tracing the outlines of everything before she accidentally knocked over the tray and the tea. Her blood boiled as she stood up, almost an extreme sense of anger...

In a rage she ripped up the paper and ran her hands through her hair. Angrily, she drew her brush and drew on a new piece of paper, the chakra flowing off her hands as she continued to make a new seal. Somehow, this time, the seal worked as she expected. When she put it on a smoke tag, she was unable to then activate it.

After weeks of blood, sweat and tears, Mariya finally completed the seal to her satisfaction.
453/450 Homing BeaconShow
Fuuinjutsu had many applications- one Mariya was particularly interested in was utilizing it to put a bit of trackable chakra on someone, and so long as the seal remained intact, through the shinobi arts she would be able to track them. The seal itself was simple and not very noticeable, a small tattoo of a spiral centered over the forehead, but it was quite difficult to remove. Not impossible, of course, but it would take at least a C-rank shinobi to remove it. It wasn't easy to test this sort of thing, so after spending countless hours in her room designing and working on the seal she would take to the streets to find some people to... test with. The seal was harmless of course, and with some slight modifications to assure the seal would remove itself after some time, she would pay a few street scamp kids to be her tests. It wasn't... the most ethical of choices but she didn't harm them and it gave them a nice amount of gold that the could use to buy food or clothes or whatever it was they needed.

One by one, Mariya placed it on the boy's head and closed her eyes, muttering an incantation as she did so. "I command this seal to open and place your chakra on my radar." she said, attempting to make it sound more... fun and exciting. She was unsure if the kids would know that it was fuuinjutsu but it was not really of any importance either way.

The tattoos began to glow a bright green for a moment, before fading away until they looked much like a simple tattoo. Mariya had felt the chakra connect to her mind and was now able to track their location. If he was within her range she would be able to identify them instantly, as if they were standing right in front of her, or something like that.

"You can go now." She said with a nod. As the children scattered she could feel their presences holding. With any lucky she would be able to find them wherever they went or something like that. And that she could. Taking to the rooftops she tried to keep within range in order to keep a gauge on all the kids. It wasn't exactly the most easy thing to do but it was easy enough that she could do everything she needed to.

Eventually though the kids would get further away than 1KM, and one by one, slowly, they would lose any sort of direction and then finally, she'd feel no presence. It seemed her technique had its limits, no matter its permanence, or temporary thereafter. Mariya though was aware of this.
