Scales of Balance [Training Thread]

Akihiko was given explicit instructions on a meeting point for training. The child was given very vague instructions. He was told to go to one of the training grounds near the Raikage's Building. The delinquent was also told that a teenager of large stature would be whom he would be introduced too. Another child of one of the power clans within the village. Although these days Aki felt less like his own kin and more like a different breed... more like a branch. It probably had to do with the Genma stored within him.

What the young genin was also heavily instructed on was being early. He has unfortunately found pleasure in arriving late, not because he was busy or was held up. The pink haired boy often found it amusing to surprise his meetings when he was given the opportunity. This time was no different. The genin showed up uncharacteristically early in an attempt to get there well before the meeting was suppose to take place. In fact, Akihiko arrived almost an hour early. The child was lightly giggling and shifting his hands in anticipation.

After leaving his family home Aki arrived to the training area shortly after. He gazed upon the area and didn't see anyone glaringly in the area. Although, admittedly the child didn't look as hard as he should have. In fact, he was too excited to fully think properly. With opportunity came openings to learning experiences. The small boy made his way to the middle of the training grounds and took a look upon the area some more. He gazed upon the shrubbery, trees, and some buildings that surrounded the large training grounds. Where would he hide before the chunin got there... unless he was already there.

Aki found some shrubbery that looked perfect for what he wanted to do. The bush was rather tall and after looking at it for a couple of seconds, Aki deduced that it would be the best spot for him to hide himself. Akihiko walked over to the bush that was a little bit over 3 feet tall. He walked around the bush so if he tampered with the bush, it wouldn't be visible from the training grounds. The child got down to his knees and hunched his back. By doing so, he made his body a little bit smaller than the bush. The bush itself was lighter than expected, which allowed the boy to utilize both of his hands when he daggered them forward. Using his hands to rip up some of the back of the bush, Aki then swirled his hands through the back of the bush in an attempt to make enough room for him to hide not just behind it, but in it.

After several minutes of clearing out space for himself, Akihiko knelt and dug himself into the bush. He shifted his body slightly and was able to give himself enough visualization of the training grounds in front of him. As he stared down the area he wanted to make sure that he didn't compromise himself. Aki settled his excitement and began to focus on his breathing. What started with breathing rather quickly, he reduced it to him breathing in with his nose and out with his mouth. The child continued this practice until he was only gently breathing through his nose. Like an animal in the wild stalking prey, Aki's eyes widened, his ears softened to the sound, and his body laid still with his breathing changed only slightly. The child was still with all other extremities like breathing dulled very slightly. This changed his presence in a way to act like any other apex predator stalking their prey.

Akihiko's hands, feet, head, even his whole body curled up within the back end of the bush. He stared down the training area as he waited for this tall chunin to come on down. This was something Aki had learned about in class when he was only a year or so younger. The art of following prey. Stalking, lurking, but most importantly not being seen or heard. In a true combat situation, Aki would be more inclined to use his genma abilities. However, never really have met this boy, he didn't know if this was someone he could fully trust. In fact, until the child felt fully confident, he really didn't want to use his abilities unless he truly had to. Granted the Limbo realm would serve as a better cover, but practice makes perfect. If the child could master masking himself and performing in normal instances, he could prove himself deadly when applying to his own granted abilities.

With studying of the way apex predators hunt. Akihiko as become accustomed to making himself unheard to the common ear by calming down, reducing his breathing, and slightly slowing his heartrate. He can do all of this while staying completely still. Aki can't be heard unless the opponent has a [Perception] technique of equal rank or higher.
