[Open] Academy Days Get Strong or Die Trying

Post by Director » Wed Aug 02, 2023 12:27 am

Yuichi stood in the academy gym as he checked the clock on the wall. The dapper man tapped his foot as it reverberated throughout the empty chamber. The wooden floors rapping beneath his brown leather oxfords. Twelve in the afternoon, a rather optimal time for training. Just late enough in the day to be wide awake for any events, just after lunch for a quick recharge and rest, and just in-time to spend the mid-day before taking a break in the afternoon. At least that was how Yuichi structured his day. A strict schedule for an organized individual.

"Hmm..." Yuichi had put out an open flyer to all Kumo shinobi to feel free to participate in the training day. To be fair in their defense it had just started, however to become an excellent shinobi one would have to put their best foot forward and arrive on time. Keeping a pertinent schedule would help one later in life, and prepare them for later adult shinobi duties or anything else they would seek a career in. Yuichi may be a strict individual but he saw value and respect in people seeking their dreams even if it wasn't becoming a shinobi.

Yuichi took a seat behind the table with a stack of forms to the side and a set of pens next to them as well. He laced his fingers together behind his back as he stood behind the desk awaiting anyone beckoning to answer the call put forth. Upon arrival he had planned for them to fill out paperwork indicating their name, rank, skills, and what they seek to do better in. Being a generalist meant Yuichi could help in all aspects, taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu. He was well skilled in all fields making him the perfect generalist to teach theory across the board. The shining example of a well rounded Jounin. The man peered at the doorway awaiting his green eyes scanning behind an ocean of navy tint contained by a silver frame. A stoic look on his face as he patiently awaited any lesson takers.

[Open] Academy Days Get Strong or Die Trying

A Flyer?!?! Akihiko was always down for a good time and by good time, it usually meant at someone else's expense. The pink haired wonder gazed upon the flyer, there was a date, time, and place.... oh wow EW the Academy Gym? It has been a little under a year since he was forced to be there all the time. Those memories caused both a headache and a nauseous feeling that really was overly exaggerated. Akihiko wanted to make a great first impression on whoever this Yuichi guy was. Maybe he had heard of the legendary shinobi, Akihiko Ishiguro! Although, the common knowledge of Akihiko are pretty much his pain in the ass antics, his familial lineage, and the genma within him.

However, he hasn't spoken to Hayate since their first interaction, so maybe it was a good chance to show someone high up in the ranks that he has spent all of his trainings in order to control the genma within him and utilize that power as his own! With excitement, the boy ran to his parent's house in order to grab all of his gear and change into his shinobi attire. Like a whirlwind, the child sped to his room, changed his clothes, put on his butt pouch, and then ran out of the house. Aki was so fast (within his own mind) that no one noticed, even though his parents sat at the dining room table watching the child in horror.

The boy didn't want to be late, in fact, he wanted to be early! Early enough so he could just annoy the man who posted the flyers by himself. With great haste, Aki raced through different parts of the village before he got near the Academy. What boring memories.. although, he was interested to know how his classmates were progressing... a fleeting thought in general.

Before Aki entered the building, he weaved a few hand signs and shifted himself into the First Layer of the Limbo Realm. Everything turned black and white to him; and as the boy shifted, it would seem like he disappeared from existence. Since the child had been training with others, Aki has figured out a couple tactics in order to prevent himself from being discovered in the Limbo Realm. Since the first layer didn't hide sounds, the boy trained with a mysterious figure to learn to walk silently. He used this tactic to make his way slowly and sneakily into the Gym. It was important to stay absolutely silent!

Upon entering in a silent fashion, he could see a man sitting behind a table with a stack of forms. Aki walked over to where the man was sitting to see what on earth he was looking at. To the child's surprise there were different shinobi on each page. Aki silently waited for his paper to come up. When it did, the boy channeled his chakra and then shifted back to being seen. Seemingly popping out of nowhere he shouted "OH HEY THAT's ME!"

So if he is in the Present Realm, he can shift into the 1st Layer. If he is in the 1st Layer he can either shift back to the present realm or shift to the 2nd Layer. [Open] Academy Days Get Strong or Die Trying

Yuichi thumbed through the papers as the sly genma host infiltrated the gym. Much to Yuichi's absent senses he hadn't exactly attuned them, but he was also not a frightful person to jump easily. For Yuichi he was simply doing work as normal when a voice shouted practically in his ear right behind him. Buried deep within the confines of his inner thought an eye brow was cocked in surprise at the boy behind him, however very quickly he deduced the nature and identity of such a hooligan. Yuichi without breaking a sweat or flinching so much at the sudden shout and appearance, he gently laid the paper down as he looked straight forward towards the entrance. "So it is Akihiko Ishiguro."

The solemn man reached up as he adjusted his glasses with his middle finger and thumb pushing them up slightly before setting aside the rest of the pages. With a scoot of his chair backwards Yuichi stood. A glance at the page was all he needed to memorize the information before him. His time as an Academy director imbued with him the discipline and knowledge of memorizing mountains of documents.

The suited man slid a form to Akihiko as he placed a pen next to it. Within the form was embedded several fields of study, ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, special abilities, special chakra properties, deficient areas, areas of desired growth, soft limitations, hard limitations, and more that gave better insight on what the student present wanted to learn and grow upon. However Yuichi was at least privileged enough to know Akihiko's file backwards and forwards, combing every document to know more on Kumogakure's jinchuriki was a privilege he as an Academy director and Jounin was privy especially as he would most likely help coach the young shinobi into the later years of his career due to the well dressed teacher's well rounded skills.

"You can fill this form and we shall begin your training. Its just to ascertain your abilities and what field you'd prefer your education in." The form so much wasn't for Yuichi as it was Akihiko to figure out his own path and think hard on it. It may had been a tall order for the twelve year old, but focus was something that should be taught at a young age so he could be more successful later in life. However knowing Akihiko's nature the young boy was more likely to just eat the page and disregard any forms. Something Yuichi had considered at least, he'd let some time pass for young Aki to contemplate the mundane request before him. "However, I get the feeling that's not in your nature. So you may as well just verbalize your training wishes." The stone faced teacher stood as he watched behind his dark tinted glasses his real sight hidden behind the navy gaze.

[Open] Academy Days Get Strong or Die Trying

Post by Texas » Mon Aug 07, 2023 1:51 pm

Wait... WHAT?!?! How come these adults weren't phased by Aki's antics? So far the only people he could annoy were adults who weren't shinobi and people his age. It had seemed that Jounin and Up were not entertained by his tomfoolery. Akihiko went from having an excited expression, mouth open, devious smile, to stone a stone face frown. It got even heavier and more confused at certain angles when a form was passed to him. This gave him ptsd of his academy days of trying to take tests. The child couldn't sit down to take them... let alone study!

Aki gazed upon the paper and if he looked at it for much longer he would have started to sweat. Instead the monkey slamming brass in his brain began to malfunction as the smooth brained child tried to figure out what he wanted to do with the paper. Maybe to Yuichi, Akihiko was on paper a problem. One that couldn't sit still, immature, and at the end of the day not living up to his expectations.

However, the pink haired child had been working really hard to squash those narratives even though his behavior reinforced those perceptions. Behind the scenes the boy had been borderline a prodigy. Within a year he had mastered his genma ability, learned different forms of combat (one being the Raikage's taijutsu techniques), and even granted 1st place in the Iron Festival a little bit ago.

Before the pink haired child's single cell brain snapped, Yuichi spoke up just in the nick of time. The second he was told he could verbalize what he wanted to do, the boy looked up from his paper that was never going to be filled out properly and spoke up. "Phew, well Yeechee, I am glad you asked! A little bit ago I sparred with a Heart Samurai. Although I could have easily apprehended her, she exploited a flaw in my combat I want to address. Her strikes with a spear, which could be catered to strikes with a weapon. Although I can avoid it through my host ability, in combat I don't want to waste chakra if I don't have to. So I went to the library and learned about a technique I think is called Kugypoo? Basically it is a taijutsu style that focuses on deflections and evading weapon strikes. Do you think you could help me learn it?" The child put his annoying part of his personality to the side and tried to show the teacher in front of him that he was trying to adapt to different situations.

The man standing near Aki was a familiar one. He was tall with a suit and glasses, but he must have been someone that was more on the tutoring side of teaching. Regardless, the man was someone that the boy had seen several times during his stint as a ninja academy student. The overall presence was not as intimidating as he thought, although if the boy had learned anything its that looks can be deceiving.

Yuichi stood quietly his stance never shifting as he watched and analyzed what Akihiko expressed his interest in where to grow his skills. It was typical for a shinobi to analyze their skills through sparring, it was only natural that when techniques and tactics were applied one would see how their usage in the real world would take place. The most effective manner in testing their mettle in an actionable scenario. However most Genin were lost as to how to properly analyze these mistakes in practice. Really apply themselves in a way to make up for short comings. The teacher listened intently as Akihiko mentioned the art of Kugapou. The soft panther paw style to redirect blades on the edge-less sides avoiding deep cutting blows while maintaining close proximity.

The mentor reached up and quietly adjusted his glasses sliding them up further on the bridge of his nose. "Kugapou is it? I have no techniques to impart of that style, but I have a complimentary one to aid your study of it." With a snap of his fingers Yuichi summoned the taijutsu scroll from the academy archives of Kugapou before tossing it towards Akihiko. Inside contained the entire known style of Kugapou. He'd give the boy time to read over the archive as Yuichi walked over the gymnasium floor his formal shoes clacking across the ground towards the coat rack next to the door.

He slipped off his suit jacket as he reached for the hook off the rack securing his blazer over it before hanging up his jacket. While his daily driver of attire to maintain a proper business etiquette he at least hadn't want to get the suit jacket dirty. While the suit masked his overall presence Yuichi seemed normal even when the suit jacket was removed. His looks betrayed the imposing nature of the man and his unique skill set. As he disengaged his hidden kunai holsters on his forearms he began to roll up his dress shirt sleeves just below the elbow. His forearms now revealing a bit more about the man as they were well defined with light scarring from his time as a shinobi and intense training.

With a final adjustment of his glasses securing them closer up on the bridge of his nose. He reached up and pulled his tie completely loose as he patiently folded up the tie and tucked it within the hanging jacket pocket before unbuttoning the top button of his shirt to let his neck breath slightly easier. Yuichi then reached behind his back grabbing his wrapped sword as the snap buckle swung loose. A special sword to him despite its minor effect, its blunt look betrayed the true edge that hid within the blade. A powerful striking tool against defenses. "Are you ready to begin? I will be striking with Toryu, a fast blitzing swordsman ship that uses close physical combat in a brutal manner to gain the edge. This will allow you to fully appreciate the usability of Kugapou, lest you'll face a painful shock to the system at the hands of the brutal swordsmanship."

[Open] Academy Days Get Strong or Die Trying

Post by Texas » Fri Sep 01, 2023 11:47 am

Although the child was dim witted, it was more or less a coping mechanism within the world he lived in. The child truly enjoyed being his natural self and at times he could come across immature. By at times... usually most of the time. However, the boy's dream has always been a constant since his academy days, he wanted to be an absolute powerhouse. The pink hair sparkling in the wind combined with his natural aura was a staple that Aki wanted all other shinobi to fear. His natural chakra signature released a calming presence, this the delinquent wanted to take advantage of. The presence as a whole would calm others who were unfamiliar to it, but to those that were, Aki wanted to enforce fear. What kind of mindset would his enemies take if they knew his chakra and feared being calm? It would create unease almost always.

Akihiko gazed upon his mentor in a suit and had nothing but a shit eating grin that took over his mouth. "You talk like an adult, are you always like this?" Not meaning to sound insulting, but Aki wanted to know if this was his tone. Was this man the type that could talk paint to dry faster? It took no time at all for the man to toss Aki a scroll. As it flew to his face, the child used his tiny hands to try to catch it. With a bit of fumbling, the boy was able to stabilize the scroll in both of his hands. Since he was near the desk, Aki unraveled the scroll and placed it on the table. The techniques were the same from the library he had studied from. Maybe what was important was for Aki to attempt the pinnacle skill of this style. Soft Paws was the term used when explaining the movement. After a couple minutes of reading, Aki retained his gaze to Yuichi. "Alright Yeechee" the shinobi said as he placed his left hand against his hip while his right hand moved as he spoke "I get it you are going to do some kind of brutal strikes with your pal Toryu. I think I'm ready enough, but if I accidentally hurt you, I don't want to hear any crying okay?" After Aki made his... remarks... he shifted his legs so that they were shoulder length apart and prepped his arms with bent elbows. Through his position, he wanted to signal to Yuichi that he was ready to rumble!

Yuichi twirled the sword in his hand effortlessly as he nodded towards Aki. In a flash the man would cover the ground between the two bringing his blade down in an overhead arcing motion as if he'd club Aki in the head with it. While Yuichi was a great deal faster and stronger than the Genin, he at least tapered his attacks back rather than overwhelm Aki provide enough pressure it would feel like a losing battle keeping the Genin on the back foot to think critically and creatively to overcome such a force. Within Yuichi knew Aki had the power to at least come close to Yuichi's own skill for a brief period, but Yuichi also had a trick card up his sleeve reserving if the boy really wanted to push his luck.

With the downward arc, Yuich would follow by shoulder checking forward jutting it out to chest check the young shinobi. If he went easy, treated him like a child, then Aki wouldn't be prepared for the harsh reality of the world. The thought did briefly cross Yuichi's mind if perhaps he had started too hard it would discourage Aki, but the thoughts faded as he would taper himself according to Aki's reaction to the first assault. If he hadn't give Aki a challenge then how would he face a real one outside the safe walls of Kumogakure. A minor lesson as well Yuichi hoped to impart on Aki was to respect your seniors. Lest you give them the wrong idea your skill level is greater than it actually was.

Before Akihiko could realize it, the man pushed forward after acknowledging his comment. Did he not say anything to him?! His annoying behavior didn't seem to even scratch the surface of caring from this man. He was... dare Akihiko think it... unfazed by his comments and actions?!?! This simply wouldn't do for the immature brat, in fact he wanted to teach the man a lesson. A lesson, he could not provide. It was evidentally clear that the child would have a hard enough time dodge and evade, let alone fight back.

With speed and ferocity, the man swung at Aki. The child would attempt to target the side of the blade with his right hand. The child would shift his body slightly just in case to potentially dodge this, just in case he couldn't do it in time. Regardless of if he got hit or not from the first strike, the boy wasn't prepared for the shoulder check that came his way. Unable to get out of the way in time, the child would be sent flying backwards.

The result of the attack, caused Akihiko to land plantly on his butt. As his body landed, Aki couldn't help but get frustrated. Frustration outweighed any sigh of discouragement. In fact, the boy popped up quickly and looked at the man with a devious smile and a determined look became plastered upon his face. The boy would wipe the dirt from his pants while looking down, only to look up and stare into Yuichi's eyes. "Alright yeechy, lets play!" A laugh would follow as the boy began to drastically change his appearance.

The boy spent the better part of his genin career focusing on controlling the genma within him. Although there were times where Ryeunso would persuade Aki to perform poor behavior, it wasn't anything he didn't want to do though. With his control over his ability, Aki could not only change his appearance completely, but control it as well. The boy's chakra would be flowing outwardly from his body creating a comforting feeling. The child's eyes would turn black. Following the changing in his eye color, the boy's arms would crystalize all the way up to his neck while his entire skin would turn white. His hands and feet would turn black and tails would come out from behind. Due to them not being controllable physically, they would wrap around his arms and legs loosely like clothing.

The maniacal laughing would continue as Aki bent his knees a little bit in preparation for Yuichi to come at him again.

Yuichi watched as Akihiko transformed before him. The boy seeming more determined than ever to prove himself. Laughing maniacally beckoning for Yuichi to approach once more. Such was the mindset of youth, playful, unaware of the dark reality of shinobi-hood. The teacher would indulge the boy as he tilted his head down the glare off his glasses obscuring his eyes as he grumbled a simple acknowledgement in return. "Hmph." It wasn't within Yuichi's self to be as playful as maybe the Raikage would be in this scenario.

With a twirl of his cleaver Yuichi approached full speed knowing that Akihiko was more than capable now in his upper forms to deal with his full speed. The well dressed man reached high into the sky attempting to cleave Akihiko once again in the head, simulating the same attack as before while also aiming to slip his right foot behind the boys left hooking and pulling back to trip him up. It would be important for Akihiko to learn that a fight would never be fair, he'd need to stay on his toes. Pay attention to all limbs of his opponent as it wasn't just the cleave to worry, block, or dodge, but the foot that was aiming to throw off his guard. As Yuichi's right foot attempted to pull Akihiko's left leg out from underneath him, Yuichi's left foot would rise as his hips dipped to the right throwing a devastating left kick aimed at Akihiko's shoulder.

The attack flowing in one fluid motion. Right foot set behind Akihiko's left, pull. Cleaver raised and brought down in one swift motion with the inertia from that helping tuck Yuichi's hips to the right as his left foot followed up attempting to strike Akihiko's shoulder. Quite the attack for Akihiko to parry, but a good learning experience in up close combat. He'd need to think creatively, use the tools he had with the new ones he wanted to add, and combine them into an effective fighting style.

Akihiko loved the thrill of playing a Villain. With his new transformation and the feeling of raw power increasing, he wanted to try to fight Yeechee for real! The boy clenched his cheeks and shifted his feet as he ran forward to meet Yeechee in the middle. The child watched on as the well dressed man twirled his meat stick and lifted it in the air. The boy smirked and even gave a tiny giggle as he read the movement and swung his hand to the side. In one motion the boy slightly moved back while ramming his hands down on the cleaver attempting to aim it to the ground. Unfortunately the boy was simply caught up in the moment. Maybe it was the excitement of countering Yeechee, maybe it was the adrenalin, maybe it was the fun he thought he was having with his boosted attributes, but regardless of the excuse the child did not realize what was coming towards him at the same time.

With success, Aki would divert the cleaver. However, by the time his eyes went down, it was far too late. What kind of tactic was this?! The hook of his leg caused the boy to fall backwards. The child would dramatically fall backwards in order to gain some space from the monotone man. As he fell backwards he would roll as he was hitting the ground. Distributing his weight at the right time would allow him to roll backwards. Upon the first turn, he would utilize his feet touching again to pop himself up like an armadillo, while at the same time creating a little bit of distance. By doing this the child would borderline by accident, avoid a second strike. It would be in that moment that Aki had made a decision to fight back and try to take control of the fight. Although he didn't want to use his ability, in this kind of combat, the pink haired boy didn't want to be taken lightly!

The child would once again take a jump back while attempting to weave a couple of hand signs. Usually in a close fight, Aki would try to channel his chakra. However, in this instance, if he could gain a little bit more distance it would be faster to just weave a few hand signs. Upon finishing the hand signs, Aki would reach down and grab a kunai with his left hand. Within a moment as fast as his speed and control, Akihiko would create an invisible crack into the 1st Layer of the Limbo Realm. While at the same time taking a kunai from his side and whipping it from his hip as fast as he could. This kunai at first could be seen being thrown at Yeechee, but would seemingly disappear only inches of when Akihiko threw it. The kunai, invisible to the eye, would be aimed right at Yeechee's shoulder.

This means he can naturally (like second nature) perform and seamlessly move into a roll, forwards, backwards or sideways from any position. Yuichi sprinted forward keeping in mind Akihiko's kunai toss as his body loosened its muscles, giving him a more relaxed stance more known of Toryu. While Yuichi had a deep mental note of Akihiko's genma's supposed powers, it was his first time seeing them in person. The Kunai was there and then poof. A shift into a layer? How many layers was it? Was it physically gone, or just visibly gone? If he had timed his movements just right he could simply count down the time and speed Akihiko threw the kunai at and dodge it at the last minute. He theorized it should throw Akihiko off due to the sudden dodge at the last minute if Akihiko had planned any redirection techniques backing it.

Yuichi's eyes intently watched behind his glasses as Akihiko's arm tensed and threw the kunai. Approximating the force he counted the kunai's flight through the hair until it hit the first phase, in which it disappeared. Taking the estimated distance it traveled through the air to the phase, and the time it took to reach there. Yuichi had deduced the speed at which the kunai was thrown with. This noted in his brain he continued to count the seconds it'd take to reach him. One-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, three-one-thousand. The words played through Yuichi's head as he silently counted to himself. For Akihiko it'd look like Yuichi was ignoring the kunai, simply running straight into it. For Yuichi though he had considered the odds, and figured Akihiko's inexperience to combat would make him not consider such a risky play especially in a spar to run straight forward into a potentially harmful attack.

The last countdown rang through Yuichi's mind with an internal grunt, his muscles immediately tensed as Yuichi in a flash stepped to the side dodging the invisible kunai soaring through a different plane. The feint would be well hidden up until the last second, the kunai fluttering past Yuichi's hair as the draft swiped Yuichi's hair. Yuichi grip on his blade would swap in a flash, swapping from his normal grip to a reverse grip. Raising his right sword hand high above Yuichi aimed to bring the blunted cleaver down straight on-top of Akihiko's head once more, this time using the downward force to spin his body into a horizontal rotational spin that he used to follow it up with a 360 degree spin kick on-top of Akihiko's head once more. Quiet, methodical, unwavering was Yuichi's combat style. Akihiko would be spared no mercy if he truly wanted to learn how to use Kugapou in a dire situation.

This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It was true, Akihiko wasn't used to fighting in certain situations. Real overwhelming strength and speed that made him feel smaller than ever. When he was fighting in the grand tournament, there really wasn't anyone remotely close to Yeechee's capabilities. During these thoughts of doubts, the pink haired boy had one glimmer of hope, his kunai going thr.... WHAT? Akihiko watched as the invisible kunai swung passed Yeechee, almost as if he could dodge it... What does this mean what is going on?! How could this be possible.... Doubt and Anger were pumping through the brain of the boy to the point where Ryeunso had to speak up. "AHAHA Child, why don't you let me take control. I could give him a couple of gifts." Internally the realm within realms, space between time, Akihiko cut Ryeunso short. "You know I can't do that... ya ugly mutt!" This response caused the being to laugh throughout his mind. "Suit yourself" were the last words spoken before the voice echoed out into nothing.

Should Aki release Ryeunso? NO! What a dumb thing to think especially mid combat. The distracted child noticed within a blink of an eye Yeechee appeared in front of him. The child took his eyes on Yuichi's muscles and weapons. It was clear this big daddy of a man was going to swing the cleaver up and down on top of his head. It was a move that was the same as before? Something was wrong though, something the child couldn't put a finger on. With the quick analysis of the attack, Aki moved himself slightly back out of the reach of the weapon. What the boy couldn't predict was the speed and directional change of Yuichi's secondary attack. Before the boy knew it, the man had a foot in the air launching towards his head!

The boy, for the short time, had enough speed to counter his. While spinning in the air, Aki took advantage of this situation. While the leg flew towards him, Aki would shift his body slightly and swing his right arm forward. He would utilize the movement of Yeechee's leg to deflect it's trajectory. In hopes that this worked, the pink haired child would actually move in forward with his left elbow out. Aki had hoped that the combination of deflecting his opponents leg outward with rushing forward and aiming his elbow towards his crotch. Unfortunately, due to his size, this was the only spot he could hit!

Before potential contact is made Ryeunso spoke up within the child's mind. "You know boy, you should just use our power more. Why not phase through him and jab him in the back. This learning of different combat styles is beneath you... it is beneath me!" Aki would be short with the being "enough!" With a laugh Ryeunso would finish his interactions with an attempt to mess with Aki since he can't mess with anyone else right now. "Maybe you should see what kind of ninjutsu he is sneaking around. How do you think he dodged that attack? HAHAHA" Within the confines of his mind, the time and space paused like a temporal plane... Aki was befuddled. There was no telling if Ryeunso was telling the truth or if he was messing with him. Maybe this would be something he would have to explore within their battle before he loses his temporary boost.

As Yuichi's leg was misdirected he watched Akihiko's elbow unpleasantly be directed in an area Yuichi much rather prefer not be attacked. Low blow or just unfortunate aim? Regardless there was no time to debate the ethics of such a maneuver. Yuichi had to act fast, but on a budget. With a flare of chakra, Yuichi's speed rapidly shot up as he he hiked his right knee and turned it hooking into Akihiko's elbow attempting to direct the elbow towards the ground. With the full brunt of his body weight Yuichi brought his left foot down, and crushed the ground beneath his foot as he leapt into a shoulder thrust to push Akihiko backwards. Following the shoulder bash aimed at Aki's diaphragm aiming to accomplish two goals. Create distance between the two, knock the breath out of Akihiko, and follow up the close shoulder bash with with lower diagonal slash upwards from left to right aiming to strike right into Aki's side.

The combination aimed to redirect the strike towards the rather unpleasant region to be struck in, follow up with a rowdy shoulder bash to Aki's chest creating some distance for Yuichi to follow up with a shocking blow to the side of his opponent. A quick thinking Toryu move, but effective in these close quarters situations where one wielded a blade and needed to make the most with what little limb movement they could achieve. At least earn a bit more breathing room back in the fight to follow up their attacks.

Kugapou would at least be effective, and an unorthodox sword style it'd prove an excellent educational tool for Aki. With traditional sword styles it'd be easy for the boy to learn a one track mind in dealing with swords, but against a style that mixed close quarters with blade work? He'd need that knowledge and skill to swap between the two with ease. Hearing the theory was one thing, but experiencing it would allow Aki to hone the edge on his skills. The kugapou training against an unorthodox sword style would transfer with much more ease against a traditional style compared vice-versa. At least Yuichi felt the goal was being completed as Aki's quick thinking, and creative problem solving led to an interesting back and forth dance between the two.

The boy learned quick, and was able to think quick. Even if he wasn't consciously making decisions, his bodies natural reaction was timing correctly its movements, and working in tandem with the skill set he had built. Further honing that natural edge and reaction would only make Aki a better fighter. In the high tier leagues such as the Kage, their thinking wasn't done in milliseconds. Rather it was faster than even nanoseconds, something Aki and even Yuichi himself would strive towards.

[Open] Academy Days Get Strong or Die Trying

In truth, Akihiko was trying to figure out what to do. The time during the battle seemed to be going on forever in his mind as he was rapidly getting more excited during the combat he was experiencing. However, there was a few things he had to keep in mind in combat. The first thing is, his speed boost and strength boost that helped him keep up with Yuichi a little bit was going to end soon. So the boy had to adjust. In truth, there wasn't much he could do. In this scenario, he couldn't really boost himself like he could with his Genma abilities. So what Aki had to do was drain the absolute shit out of Yuichi. If Aki could keep close and accept hits, he could slowly but surely drain Yuichi throughout the fight. At the end of the day it wouldn't matter how many hits Aki took, or how little he was actually able to evade. The end goal was to win! Well it was to train, but the boy had completely put that aside to go in and fight.

The child watched as Yuichi's chakra flared up, in preparation for such a jutsu, Aki did the same. To Aki, nothing changed with Yuichi. However, his movement to evade his strike was significantly faster. The child determined that he must have used some kind of jutsu to increase his speed? Regardless, it was clearly enough for the child to notice there was a strike coming he couldn't evade. Luckily he channeled chakra when Yuichi did and his hands began to be coated in a black material. Although he couldn't evade the knee, the boy pulled both of his hands to block it. If successful, the child's hands would touch Yuichi but be sent back a little bit. The child moved his hands up after softening the blow of the knee, all until he saw a should come his way. Aki would do the same thing he did with the knee and move his hands up to take the brunt of the blows to his arms, attempting to block with his hands. The strength difference would cause Aki to take the brunt of the strike with his hands but be sent backwards. In that moment, the child needed to get back in the fight. Be up close and personal!

With minor space being created with the two, Aki saw Yuichi's body shift and start to utilize his weapon. The boy needed to keep training in Kugapu, but wanted to make Yuichi Suffer for his strikes now. If the boy could make Yuichi think more per strike, there could me an opportunity to actually get a hit in. Aki would attempt to shift his body slightly to the left during the blade coming near him. The pink haired child would swing his right hand to the side in order to make contact with the hand holding the weapon. If successful, the weapon could be batted out of his grip. If less successful, at the very least, Aki could derail the trajectory of the blade itself. If overall movement was successful, Aki would have physically touched Yuichi three times which would leave a little bit of a CP drain on his body.

Yuichi felt the drain of chakra as his knee made contact with Aki's hands. He pressed forward with his shoulder bash confirming his theory. An Ishiguro technique that leeched chakra off the target through physical connection. With a follow up strike Aki deftly dodged with his hand out reached to touch Yuichi's wielding hand.

The well dressed man furrowed his eyebrows as he let go of his weapon leaving it mid air reeling the right hand away from Aki's range. The boy had already taken some of Yuichi's chakra, why risk more. With quick thinking and both hands more than capable, Yuichi reached out with his left hand grabbing the handle away from the side Aki grasped carry out the diagonal slash instead this times from Aki's right shoulder to his left hip.

To swap hands mid fight was unconventional but so was the kid he was sparring. It would require quick thinking, agile movements, and staying one step ahead of the kid luring him into false steps to take the upper hand. Yuichi wasn't known for his particular quick thinking and jutsu creation in the midst of combat, but his versatility paid off in other areas when applied.

While Aki planned on staying close to Yuichi to force his chakra reserves to drain, the teacher similarly planned to stick close as well. While Aki had trouble at mid-range fighting with spears and seemed apt to deal with close range, it still was the domain of Yuichi an expert swordsman with unorthodox technique and weapon to boot. Unwittingly he'd make Aki regret focusing on winning instead of learning as much as he could. Unless this was how the boy learned then Yuichi would have to consider future lessons and how to approach dealing with such energetic characters.

[Open] Academy Days Get Strong or Die Trying

The boy liked games. Well.. he was still technically a child and what child didn't like games? Within the confines of his mind, Ryeunso spoke and time seemed to stop mid battle. In the black of his mind Aki stood there with Ryeunso towering over him. The creature was smirking, although Aki couldn't really see it. "Boy, it has been a while since you have gone all out with the transformation. You typically hate going into form HAHAH." Ryeunso laughed incredibly hard. Was this all a prank to him. What part about this was funny to the Genma, it bothered Aki. He clenched his fist and yelled back at the grand spirit. "Yeah? And what is your point Bozo?"

The child wasn't scared anymore. However, something about the way the Genma spoke to him... something was off. What could it be? Ryeunso slowed down with his laughing before he spoke back to Aki. "Have you truly not figured it out boy? You are not as strong as you think. You haven't been fully paying attention either because you have been having too much fun fighting this suit wearing tight ass." Aki thought long and hard about what the Trickster Spirit was talking about. He thought for a while within the confines of his mind... what could he be truly talking about? After the monkey in his brain stopped smashing the cymbals, it all clicked in his head. The power boost he gained from utilizing the Genma's power... he was almost out. He had truly abused the situation and instead of learning, tried using it as a vessel to win some kind of made up contest in his mind.

Akihiko had truly gotten ahead of himself. The boy had put himself in a situation he didn't intend to do. Yes he was able to keep up with this boost, but he had also probably set a standard for Yeechy. Which most likely would result in Aki getting his ass whooped once the boost had stopped. His behavior had made it seem like there was a contest he was shooting for. Curse the boy's behavior and competitive spirit! A look of frustration came across Aki's face within his mind, which caused Ryeunso to laugh even more. "Now you get it boy? You have put yourself in a way that would make your opponent think you are acting serious. Right when they are warmed up and understand your speed and strength... you are going to lack. What are you going to do now Akihiko Ishiguro? You can't keep up with his speed after your next move.." It is true, Akihiko didn't know what to do. But was it even time to think like that?

The child tried to go through scenarios in his head. After going over a few ways he could counter his situation he put himself in... the child thought of a great plan. At least to prolong the fight a little bit longer. He still had his boost for a few more movements (two more posts). So he had to make sure that he made every moment count! With excitement wrestling throughout his body. Aki smirked a devilish smirk and looked up at Ryeunso. "Don't worry ugly, I'll just do what you would do!" Then Aki would finally laugh at Ryeunso. The thought of Aki acting more like a child filled the Genma with excitement, which caused him to laugh as well. Aki's mind was full of lunatic thoughts and laughter. All slowly going away as the boy came to and time began to move forward again.

Aki would see Yuichi attempt to slash Aki, the boy would keep his distance and utilize the slash to his advantage.... or at least try. The child would attempt to swing his arms up towards Yuichi's hand using his weapon. AKihiko would attempt grab and pull the weapon on a safe or dull spot before simultaneously slamming the other palm into the opponent's wrist. By doing this, Aki would try to completely take away the sword from Yuichi. By doing this, if successful, Aki would disarm the man who was incredibly talented with this unique weapon. The boy would stay close and clench his muscles to prepare for whatever attack Yuichi would throw his way. If Yuichi stepped back or tried to back up, the child would continuously try to stay close.
