[Graded]Tea and Cookies!

"Oi! Oi! Bushou-saaaan! Get dooown!", Sakki shouted frustrated, jumping up and down, trying to reach the banister that hung above him. The sloth, that Sakki had left to hold their table while he got them tea, had decided to climb at an unusally fast pace for a sloth, and was now supposed above his owner. There seemed to be a small smirk on the sloth, not that he showed much other emotion. It was storming outside....as it always was, so the tea house didn't have many customers. So there was no one to help poor Sakki who struggled to control his unruly and poorly behaved pet.

"You come down right this instant, Bushou-san! Or no cookies for you!", Sakki called, stomping his foot. Trying to assert some authority.

Renge was out running errands when, suddenly, it started raining. He immediately began rushing towards home to get out of the rapidly worsening downpour, when he realized he was about to run right past one of his favorite restaurants. The green-haired jounin entered the tea house, both to escape from the unexpected rain and to grab a hot cup of tea. I really should start paying better attention to the weather. Or maybe I could just start wearing a hooded robe...

The first thing he saw upon entering was a green-haired child yelling at what appeared to be a slot. "Is there anything I can do to help?

As Sakki turned to Renge who was talking to him, his face lit up. "Bushou-san is being bad! You're big and tall can you reach him?", before Renge would even be able to move though, Sakki spoke again. "No, no, you're not tall enough.", Renge definitely was, "Oh! I know!", Sakki reached over to the table and handed forth a cookie, well...it was more of a dog treat. "Oh look Bushou-san! This man is going to eat all your cookies!", the sloth didn't even turn to look. Sakki pushed the cookie to Renge, trying to get him to take it and eat it.

Ren snatched the cookie up as quickly as he possibly could, shoving the entire thing in his mouth. He said, through a mouth full of odd-tasting cookie, "I'm going to eat all of the cookies, and there's nothing you can do to stop me! His act was partly to help the young genin, but mostly to amuse him. Few things were more valuable to Ren than genuine happiness, and such a thing was a lot easier to get from a child than from an adult.

Sakki's eyes got wide in excitement, and he stiffled his laughter as the sloth slowly turned his head to look at what was happening. It was hard to believe this genin was 12. "He's gonna eat them all Bushou-saaan!", Sakki exclaimed again. The sloth simply looked away though, and Sakki's happinees came to a stop as he pouted. "He's such a selfish sloth.", he said scowling. "Some bestfriend!", Sakki said, plopping down on the floor, arms crossed. The sloth made no recognition of what was happening.

Ren squatted on the ground beside him, doing his best to swallow the cookie mush in his mouth. "Well," he said, as he finished swallowing, "We could just enjoy our tea and snacks without him, couldn't we? If he wants to stay up there without food and drink; I say let him! That's more for us!" The jounin then shot a quick, menacing glare up at the sloth before returning his eyes to the genin. "What'll you have? This round's on me."

Sakki looked at Renge curiously, glancing up at Bushou-san and then back at Renge. "You'd be a better bestfriend than Bushou-san. Don't tell him though.", Sakki whispered before pushing himself to his feet. "I can't believe you ate that cookie though, gross!", he said with a giggle. "No no. I don't want anything. I ordered mine already.", Sakki said nodding his head over at the tea on the table under Bushou-san.

"Well," he lied, "The cookie really wasn't all that bad." He looked up at the sloth, and then back down to Sakki. "I think, actually, that I might be able to reach him. D'you think he'd bite me?" The jounin looked back up at the sloth, and crossed his arms over his chest. While he felt that he could easily out power the little guy, he didn't want to get bitten if at all possible.

Sakki shook his head. "No no no. It's way too far. Look at that! You'd never be able to reach him!", Sakki said rubbing his chin. "Besides. He's being a poopy-head. I don't want to talk to him an-y-ways.", Sakki said cocking his head back and forth as he spoke out anyways. Reaching over for his tea, he took a sip before glancing up and Bushou-san, then back at Renge.

"You reall think you could reach him?", he asked.

Ren reached out with his left leg, hooked a chair with his foot, and then slid it over to right in front of the sloth. He climbed up onto the chair, and spread his arms out as if he were putting himself on display. "I think I'll be able to reach him," he then leaned down to whisper at the genin, "so long as you don't tell anyone that I cheated."

Sakki nodded silently, looking at Renge in awe. "I promise I won't tell anyone.", he said with his mouth practically gaping wide open. "Bushou-san doesn't bite. Right Bushou-san?", Sakki said as if he was a mother talking to her child. "He's a good sloth....usually.", he added onto the end, with an edge in his voice. He was clearly upset with Bushou-san, but friends needed to be reunited.

Renge stood up straight, and turned to lift his hands up towards the sloth (though, he hardly had to reach). He peeled the animal away from his resting place, finding him to be surprisingly heavy. He looked down at Sakki, the confusion in his voice completely genuine. "Well, uh...now what do I do with him?" He held the sloth out in front of him in both hands, almost as if he were holding a large, furry human child that had just soiled its diaper.

Sakki's expressed changed from awe, to excitement as Bushou-san was lowered to in front of him. He almost started clapping, but his expression quickly turned to anger. "Meanie Bushou-san!", Sakki shouted, jumping backwards and shaking a fist at the sloth. "Tall-Cool-San is not dumb!", Sakki yelled. "Meanie-head sloth. I'll take him Tall-Cool-san.", Sakki said reaching out for the sloth. The sloth's claws slipped around Sakki's hand, and Sakki pulled the collar of his shirt back, dropping the sloth down his shirt. Bushou-san promptly gripped Sakki's shoulders with it's claws, resting it's head against his neck.

Renge climbed down from the chair, and used his foot again to slide it back into place. He squatted in front of the genin, extending his hand for a shake. While he genuinely enjoyed his new moniker, he felt that he should introduce himself. "My name's Shioke, Renge, or just 'Ren' for short." He quite liked this kid, and meeting him had very quickly rekindled the jounin's interest in teaching children. Through the academy, maybe, but Ren would much prefer to take on a pair or trio of genin to teach more personally. Perhaps he'd try to speak to the Raikage about that.

Sakki gave his hand and nodded. "Nice to meet you Cool-Ren-San!", Sakki said with a smile. "Bushou-san you're a meanie-head. Cool-Ren-San is cool!". He said shaking his head, obviously frustrated with the sloth. "I'm Sakki. Shitagane, Sakki.", he said with a smile. "I think I need to go though, Cool-Ren-san.", Sakki said with a frown.

"Thanks for helping!", he said happily.

Ren stood and smiled down at the boy and his sloth. "It's no problem at all, Awesome-Sakki-san. I'm always glad to help a friend in need. You make sure that Bushou-san stays out of trouble, okay? We don't want him climbing into something that someone can't get him out of." Ren was, to say the least, glad he came into the teahouse that afternoon. His encounter with Sakki was definitely the highlight of his day.

Sakki nodded admiringly at Renge, showing his understanding of the instruction. "As long as he listens.", with that, he took his cup of tea and took off in a run towards the door. Right before leaving he turned and waved at Renge one last time. "Thanks again Cool-Ren-San!", and with that, he disappeared into the rain.
