It was a beautiful early morning in the summery Konoha as Shikari made her way down the street. Another day, another dollar. Shikari thought to herself. Well, if she were getting paid. Which she wasn't. Or was she? Well regardless, there she was, strolling her way down the roads of Konoha in the bright morning sun, weaving through crowds of people, each one moving along with their own purpose. Shikari's purpose for this day was slightly different than every day: She was going to teach. More specifically, she was going to meet with Zakuro, her temporary genin charge, and discuss their previous meeting. Gonna teach him not to kick stone bears. she thought to herself with a little chuckle.
Moving down the streets of the village, Shikari would occasionally glance at her surroundings, observing some of the townspeople as they worked together to rebuild some of the buildings damaged during the invasion. It was a sight that brought her both pride and sorrow. It was heart warming to see the people work together to right what had been wronged, but it simultaneously pierced her heart to know that she and the rest of the shinobi in the village had not been able to adequately protect the village and its people. It was a failure that she would not soon forget. It was a failure that she would amend.
Before she knew it, Shikari was in the training district, coming up on the very training ground where she had met Zakuro only a few days before. As had been the case then, she was the first one to arrive at the training grounds and now awaited the arrival of the genin. Today would be unlike the other day, however. Before, she had been assessing his skills. Today, she would be bettering them. As she had a few days prior, Shikari leapt into the very same tree as before and perched herself there until the genin arrived.
