Technique Being TrainedShow
~ Dual Piercing Fang
B-Rank Taijutsu
Prerequisite: Both the clan member and the companion must have this technique in order to use it AND the ~Piercing Fang technique.
A combination technique utilized by the Inuzuka clan members and familiars, this portion is performed by the clan member. By spinning rapidly, clan members turn into a whirling mass before launching themselves at their target. Using a full body attack allows them to hit an opponent or nearby object at full strength when they connect with their claws. In conjunction with the familiar's portion of this technique, it becomes extremely dangerous and can cover large areas with continuous assaults. Lasts for five (5) posts or until it is canceled.

1170/1150
Bringing his hands together to form a quick set of seals, a plume of smoke enveloped the dog next to him and as soon as it cleared, Kazuo was staring at a mirror image of himself. The pair nodded to each other and then turned to face the wooden training post, one of the many that were in the public Training Ground 14. Running forward, they pushed off their back feet at roughly the same moment and, with their claws extended out in front of them, turned into a whirling mass of brown and green. The purpose of the training was to work on their coordination and perfect the Dual Piercing Fang, which was still beyond their reach.

Keeping track of their targets was easy, but moving at such high speeds at such a quick rotation made communication during the technique impossible. They needed to be able to rely purely on instinct to work together while using the Dual Piercing Fang. It was with a resounding bang that they collided with one another as they aimed for the wooden training post, being sent flying apart and the technique cancelling, though thankfully Koji's transformation held. Kazuo clambered up with a wince and looked between the training post and Koji.

What they really needed was someone to work with them, shout out directions until they could perform it instinctually. The question was who the hell did they con into helping them? As long as it wasn't Kawa, they'd be fine. That bastard would probably just beat the crap out of them and call it 'training'.

With a shake of his head Kazu got up, motioning for Koji to do the same, and started to spin once more. Flying forward at an incredibly fast rate, they drilled into the wooden post, though at completely odd angles and at such different times that if it was a real person one or both of them would have missed. They went flying off in different directions, still as a whirling mass, and turned and came in for another attack. Once again, they were so out of sync that Koji drilled into Kazu as Kazu hit the dummy, his faster movements putting him in position that much quicker than the transformed dog. He let out a cry as he went flying, crashing into one of the other training posts.

Clambering to his feet, he looked around at the wanton devastation they had been wreaking on their surroundings. Not a single coordinated attack had yet been produced from the duo, but if they ever needed to fight a large group at once they'd at least take half of them out before they took out each other. Kazuo let out a slow sigh and pressed into a low crouch, running forward a few feet to build up momentum before jumping and turning into the spiralling drill of brown and green once more. Once they could manage a coordinated attack against a single training post they would move on to a group of them and the finally they'd see if they could find a volunteer to try and dodge the attacks.

They needed to be able to hit a moving target, one that reacted, and do it without active communication between the two for the technique to be truly combat ready. Such a level of instinctual teamwork was something the Inuzuka were well known for and Kazuo would be damned if he wound up being one of the only Inuzuka not to have flawless teamwork with his canine companion, even if said companion could be a right arse at times. After taking a short break to catch his breath and think over a new method of moving while the technique was active, he decided to give it another go. With a shrill whistle, he called Koji to order and the pair went to work on the Dual Piercing Fang once more.

He gave the dog a nod and the pair dashed forward, making sure to sync their movements and build momentum before pushing off the hard earth and twisting their bodies, rapidly spinning until they both became nothing but a blurred mass of claws and hair. They spun around each other a few times, getting a feel for how fast the other was moving, getting each other's scents to better keep track of how each was moving, before separating mid-air and attacking the training post from both sides at once. They were still a little out of sync, with Kazuo hitting the training post earlier than Koji, but close enough together that the time gap was negligible.

The true purpose of the Dual Piercing Fang wasn't in the initial attack because it, like the standard Piercing Fang, could be used multiple times in quick succession as long as the Inuzuka was skilled enough to do so. So after impacting against the wooden training post, Kazuo forced himself to keep spinning and adjusted his angle a little so he went hurtling off the post, Koji doing much the same albeit his rotations were beginning to slow down. Kazu twisted in the air and brought himself around to attack the training post for a second time during the same use of the attack. And while he was able to manage the feat, gouging a deep hole into the training post, Koji's follow up attack left naught but a few scratches in the lumber before it petered out and the dog collapsed to the ground.

Kazuo cancelled his technique, dropping to the ground, and took a moment to regain his bearings before walking over to Koji. The dog was exhausted. "One more try. And then you can take a rest, okay?" Kazuo still had plenty of energy to keep going and would happily keep training, but Koji didn't have anywhere near as much stamina as he did. The cloned dog nodded and stood up, moving into position alongside Kazuo. The true human nodded to the cloned dog and the two took off in one final attempt to master the attack. If Koji could at least manage two consecutive attacks without the two of them smacking into each other, he'd call it a win.

Like the first time, they got each other's scent before separating, Kazuo going low and Koji going high. Kazuo's claws ground into the wood along the bottom of the training post as he whirled along the side of it, Koji grinding directly into the top and then pushing off, while Kazuo kind of followed the log around. They separated and came in from opposite angles, this time Kazuo going high and Koji going low. There was a resounding crash and the splitering of wood as the two of them impacted the training post.

Koji fell out of the technique in a tumbling heap, losing his human form and turning back into his usual self. Kazuo landed beside him, laughing and cheering and hugging the dog to his chest. The training post was completely shredded, nothing but wood-chips left. "Atta boy!"

The Eternal Genin had been putting off training for a while now. Partially because he had been injured but mostly because he had been lazy. With heavy sighs he walked by the fields looking for a place to train. There was a few people training, an Inuzuka, which was obvious from first glance, and someone else. Cracking his knuckles he began to approach the field.

Despite being an outcast, upon returning to the village he tried to be pretty social. He'd attempt to do that social thing now and engage in a spar because... well. Sparring was pretty hard against yourself.

He approached the Inuzuka.

"Hey."

He was probably interrupting something.

Zakuro had just woken up, but he decided to get dressed and head towards a training field. He really needed to get some taijutsu under his belt. If he didn't then he would be useless in a fight, and that would be horrible.

He had already been feeling useless since the invasion. He didn't do a single thing to help the village when it was attacked. He was instantly knocked out by the S ranked ninja. He didn't even have time to fight back. If that wasn't called being weak, he didn't know what was.

His walk to the training ground was filled with the searing heat of a hot day mixed with a refreshing cool breeze. The wind rustled through the leaves of the mighty Konaha trees. It was all fairly peaceful.

That was until he reached the training grounds. From what he could see, there was a black haired girl punching away at a wood board, two identical twins spinning together, and some guy standing there. Well this is a training field.

Zakuro knew the technique he was going to train. It was simple enough, and it really didn't take much thought to use either. Just a single hand seal and some chakra control.

Zakuro scanned the area for a good place to get up high. There were a couple of trees on the training ground. He saw an exceptionally tall one right behind the post the black haired girl was punching. He started making his way towards it.

When he passed the girl, he couldn't help but to look back at her. She looked familiar. Suddenly Zakuro remember where he had seen her. She was the girl that took him out to eat. He thought for a second about her name. It started with an A. He just couldn't put his finger on it. Oh yeah, it was Aina.

She was busy, so Zakuro decided not to bother her. They were basically training right next to each other, so they were probably going to end up talking anyways. He started walking towards the tree.

While standing at the tree's base, Zakuro looked up at the top. It was a lot bigger up close. He wasn't too excited about jumping off of it. Luckily enough for him, he could just climb up a short ways then he could jump off. It was going to be a slow build up before he could actually land after falling the full 60 feet, but he was going to go for it.

Zakuro started he ascent onto the surface of the tree. He reached the lowest branch, a mere 10 feet off the ground. Once there Zakuro jumped off, used a hand seal, and landed. He stumbled forward and a sharp pain was searing through the bones in his leg. He fell a lot faster then he thought he would.

Zakuro climbed back up to the spot on the tree. He tried again, this time successfully using the hand seal and focusing chakra into his legs. His landing was extremely smooth. He didn't feel a single ounce of pain. Obviously it worked, but just because he used it after falling a mere 5 feet doesn't mean that it'll work for higher heights.

Zakuro looked up the tree and spotted a branch up ahead. It was around 25 feet up. It would be perfect to jump off of. Zakuro started his climb to the top.

It had been awhile since Zakuro used the tree climbing technique, so this actually ended up being an exercise. He was sweating just from this.

When he reached the branch, Zakuro walked on it until he had reached it's tip. The branch was very large and sturdy. The tree held his weight easily. Zakuro took a look down at the ground below him. It looked much higher up when he was actually up here. If the jutsu didn't work he would end up breaking his legs or even worse, he might land on something other than his legs. His back maybe? He didn't want to think about it.

Zakuro breathed in and out. He could do this. He jumped off of the tree. The wind flowing around him felt nice. It was almost soothing being airborne like this. He performed the hand seal, focused his chakra into his feet, and landed. Once Zakuro noticed that he was approaching the ground, he clamped his eyes shut. Once he was safely on the ground, he slowly opened them.

He couldn't believe the fact that he hadn't felt a thing. The jutsu worked perfectly, but now it was time to put it to the ultimate test. He started climbing the tree.

Once he reached the top, he felt just how thin the trunk and branches were up there. He swayed in the wind with the tree. The ground was a good 50 feet below him, but he was ready and completely confident that the jutsu would work.

He jumped.

The wind rushed through his hair. He truly felt alive. The hand seal was woven, and he had his chakra focused into his feet. He was ready for the landing. The ground came up to meet him in an instant. His feet hit the ground. It was a fall that would've shattered any mans' bones, but he was completely fine. With a big grin on his face, Zakuro cheered. It was an awesome jutsu.

He walked over to a guy that was training with a clone or something. He wanted some feedback on what he did.

"Hey, did you see me use that jutsu? How was my form?"

Another of the cornerstone techniques of this style, the Land technique requires the user to perform a single handseal and then focus chakra into their feet. As the user lands, this chakra will disperse, balancing his/her weight in the process, and creating a landing with a greatly softened impact. Users with less than 5 control will be provided with a safe landing from a maximum of a 60 foot drop. Users with more than 5 control will be able to drop from heights of 100 feet in addition to gaining the option of seamlessly transitioning into a sprint upon landing. This technique can be held dormant for a maximum of three (3) posts before it will dispel on its own.

Since Koji was out of action, what better time was there to work on his own personal techniques? He'd been meaning to play around with Fire Style for a little while now, but kept forgetting about it. Bringing his hands together at his chest, he focused on his chakra as he started to move his fingers through the motions of making hand seals, the shapes serving to help guide his chakra into his lungs. The process of converting the chakra into the elemental nature of fire was almost second nature for Kazuo at this point, he had done it often enough. The true test was what was to come afterwards.

Finishing the set of hand seals, he drew the chakra up from his lungs, along his throat, and opened his mouth to release the chakra and watched as it converted into a line of flames. This was the difficult part. He had never been particularly good at chakra control. Kazu grunted as he tried separating his chakra into three distinct strands. The flames flickered, as if they were going to die out, but slowly separated into three flames than ran at a 45 degree angle from each other. The flames curved and dropped down to the ground, Kazuo careful to not let the flames get out of control and set the entire training grounds on fire.

Exerting even more control over his chakra-laced flames, Kazuo shut his eyes and pictured a wolf clearly in his mind. He could see its long muzzle and larger head. It's sleek, powerful body, built for speed and hunting. As he pictured the form of the wolf, he was focusing on his chakra and the flames it was attached to, exerting his control over it, and attempting to mould it into the shape of the wolf he was picturing. He slowly opened his eyes and let out a huff which in turn cut off the flow of chakra from his mouth to the flames and he watched as they petered out. Only the middle flame, the original one, had changed shaped and even then it was like a featureless log with four little stumps of fire coming off it.
He was cut off from his next attempt when he heard someone talking to him. At least he assumed someone was talking to him, the voice was closer to him than it was to Aina or the crazy kid bouncing around like a loon. He slowly turned around to see a brown haired guy with face marking of his own, though they were small lines that rolled down from his eyes. Kazuo lifted a hand in greeting.

"Hey there. One sec, okay?"

And then the crazy kid that was bouncing around appeared beside him. Kazuo looked the kid up and down, a slight frown on his face. He didn't recognize this guy either. He folded his arms over his chest. "I mean, you didn't kill yourself dropping from that height, so that's always a plus. But yeah, one second."
Looking away from the boy, Kazuo closed his eyes and focused. Now that other people were beginning to show up he didn't want to be using a wild element like fire but he wasn't going to give up on mastering this technique. He would figure out this one technique and then save the Ninjutsu training for another time. Brining his hands together he formed the sequence of hand seals as he drew his chakra up from his core once more, moulding it in his chest with air as he sucked in a deep breath. Changing the elemental nature of the chakra to fire was easy enough, he had been doing it for years at this point, and his earlier attempt proved he still had that down pat at least. Slowly and carefully he brought the chakra up from his lungs, along his windpipe, and began to exhale it as the three jets of roaring orange flames.

He quickly applied the shape manipulation, forcing his chakra to bend to his whim, controlling it and moulding it like it were clay. The flames flickered as if they were going to die out for a moment before the started to change shape. Kazu kept his eyes open this time, drawing in breath through his nose as he kept breathing out more and more fire, the flames adding to the shapes that were beginning to form. Sweat was beginning to bead along his forehead and he wasn't sure how much longer he could keep up the flames before he'd run out of chakra. Finally the three jets of flame formed into a distinct shape. Three wolves made of fire were now standing before him, their tails connected to the jets of flame coming from his mouth.

He cut off the flame jet, thankful the wolves had formed, and watched as then ran along the training ground floor, leaving fiery paw prints that lingered only for a few seconds before they died out. Just like he had planned, the outer wolves ran at an angle to the middle wolf, moving a little faster to compensate for the extra distance they needed to move to remain in a straight line. They were fully formed chakra constructs at this point, Kazu had no control over them except for one little skill that he decided he should probably not do with other people around lest he wind up doing some serious damage by accident.

The outer wolves curved suddenly, moving to run inwards to meet the middle wolf at the end of their run. Kazuo felt his connection to the chakra within the wolves grow for a second signifying exactly what point they were reaching. He could perform one more handseal and cause the wolves to explode in a wave of fire. He looked around; there was no one at the end of the training ground he would harm if he were to explode them at the very end of their run. A few bushes and trees might get a little singed but otherwise he had targeted a fairly open area. He realized that this part of the training ground was probably meant exactly for techniques like this.

With a sudden grin, he held his hands together at his chest and formed a single ram hand seal, focusing his chakra into the wolves. Suddenly the glowed brightly and exploded with a resounding boom, sending a wave of fire outwards from them. Kazuo whistled at the size of the explosion before turning to the guys who had tried to introduce themselves earlier.
"I'm Kazuo by the way. You guys are?"

After performing the necessary hand seals, Kazuo will breathe out three jets of fire which quickly form into wolves. The left and right wolves move in a 45 degree angle while the middle wolf heads in a straight line for 10 meters. At the 5 meter mark, the left and right wolves turn inwards and will meet up with the middle wolf at the end of the 10 meters. These wolves travel at a speed of 6 and are capable of causing second degree burns on impact. Their true strength comes in the fact that each wolf can explode with the force of a single exploding tag, unleashing a wave of fire that cause second degree burns, at any point in their travel path as long as Kazuo makes an additional hand seal.

Zakuro smiled at him. So apparently he did do good. "I'm Zakuro. Nice to meet you. Thanks for the input, but If you don't mind I'm going back to my tree."

Zakuro walked to the base of the tree and sat down. He wanted to take a short break after he had learned his new jutsu. It didn't really wear him out, but he still wanted to relax before he had to start training again. He was going to work hard today. Harder than he's ever worked before. He still had a lot to learn, and because of that he needed to work harder, better, and faster. One day the village will depend on him, and he'll need to become as strong as possible before that day arrives.

He still couldn't believe the feeling of being airborne for that long. It was magnificent. The way the wind blew through his hair and how it felt cool and refreshing on this hot day. He'll definitely end up enjoying these new jutsu. They're also going to make him a lot faster in combat. Something he's looking forward to.

Zakuro stood up. The bright sun was shining in his eyes when he looked up at the big tree he just fell from. This time he was going to climb it, but not by using the tree climbing technique. He was going to jump.

Zakuro saw a bunch of branches that he was going to try to land on. Each were a little bit farther than the rest, so they were like goals for him. He tried to remember the technique for the jutsu. He was supposed to use a hand seal, then focus chakra into your feet. Basically the same thing as the other, but this time you jump.

So he did just that. Zakuro preformed a hand seal, focused his charkra, and jumped. He only got a couple feet into the air. The same height that he normally jumps. Obviously the jutsu hadn't worked. He tried again. He used the hand seal, and focused the chakra into his feet again, this time using more chakra. His feet came up off the ground by about 5 feet. It was barely enough to grab onto the lowest branch. He sat there hanging on to the branch for a couple of seconds before letting go.

His feet hit the ground, but Zakuro was already weaving a hand seal. He charged chakra into his feet and took another leap. His feet landed onto the lowest branch on the tree, but he quickly lost balance and fell off. He landed, stumbled, and stood back up. It didn't matter that he fell off. The only thing that matter was the fact that he made it up.

Zakuro weaved the hand seal again. He felt good about this one. When his feet were charged with chakra, he too another leap. He jumped 15 feet into the air. He landed on the branch nearest to him and used the tree to steady himself. Getting up like this was so much faster than climbing the tree. He already was the fastest runner in his class, now obstacles won't slow him down either. Not when he can just jump over them.

Zakuro jumped off of the branch, weaved a hand seal, and landed nicely on the ground. These techniques were sweet. He wouldn't have to worry about falling ever again.

Zakuro looked around the training field. To his surprise nothing was really happening. Well at least nothing had changed since he got there.

Looking back up at the tree, Zakuro felt another wave of determination wash over him. He was going to get to the top, one way or another.

He took a couple steps back, used the hand seal, focused chakra into his legs, ran forward, and jumped. He felt the wind flow around him as he flew towards a branch on the tree. He landed on it softly and quickly balanced himself out. He was currently standing around 25 feet off of the ground.

The last time he was up here, he never actually looked at the village. It looked so peaceful, despite the horrible attack that ensued not too long ago. He could almost feel the peace that echoed throughout the village, but at the same time he could also feel the despair. He saw the part of the village that was destroyed during the invasion. It looked so sad and shriveled up. Those were homes and businesses. All of them were gone because of two men. Two men that he didn't stand a chance against...

Zakuro's resolve to train was suddenly strengthened. He needed to become stronger. If he knew these techniques back then then he could've jumped out of the way. He was already stronger because of this short amount of training. He wondered how much stronger he could get today.

At that Zakuro jumped back down and used a hand seal. He still loved the feeling of the wind against his skin. Once he focused his chakra into his feet and landed, Zakuro looked back up at the tree. He could get higher, he knew it.

Zakuro focused even more chakra into his feet and jumped with all of his might. A branch 30 feet up was his target. He knew he could reach it, he just had to try. Suddenly, Zakuro's feet raised slightly above the branch, and he landed a upon it. A grin stretched across his face. He had done it.

He called down to the same guy again, "how did I do that time?"

The rudimentary technique of the High Style, Jump requires the user to first perform a single handseal, followed by focusing chakra into the feet. When the user jumps, be it at a standstill or with momentum, the chakra will release in a burst, sending him/her a distance that depends on the amount of chakra placed into the technique. This boost is purely in vertical distance; horizontal distance depends on the user's momentum when this technique is performed, meaning it causes higher jumps, not longer ones. The maximum height that can be gained using this technique, no matter that amount of chakra placed into it, is 30 feet, while the minimum is 5 feet. Each jump with this burst counts as a new use of this technique, and thus requires handseals to be reactivated.

Kazuo watched the kid with folded arms and a critical eye. He wasn't exactly a master of aerial combat; he only took his feet off the ground for his piercing fang techniques really. But watching the kid bounce from branch to branch was admittedly giving him a few ideas. He scratched at his chin, the whiskers rubbing against his skin, as he turned towards the other guy for a fraction of a moment. "Since you're in the training grounds, I'm assuming you're here to train. If you need a partner, I'm game." He jerked his thumb in the direction of Koji, who had gone and curled up in the shade under one of the trees, napping. "My usual partner decided to be slack."

He heard the kid's voice, Zakuro, from somewhere above him. He turned and craned his neck back to see the kid up in the trees again, this time casually standing atop a branch. Kazuo lifted a hand to grant himself a little shade from the blinding sun, and grinned up at Zakuro. "Good job Zakuro." He paused for a minute and then grinned. "I'm gonna call you Zak from now on, okay? Try not to kill yourself up there. I'm pretty sure I'll somehow get in trouble for it."

He turned back to the brown haired guy. "So, did you want to spar or something?"

Zakuro sat on the branch thinking about how he could use his new jutsu. Using it to fight is going to be extremely fun. He'll just jump over everyone and get on top of everything. He'll be the most mobile ninja in the village. Nobody will be able to catch him. Not even those two S-Rank missing ninja.

He delved into his fantasy world for a little while, completely forgetting about training.

It wasn't until he looked back over the glorious village until he remembered that he was here to learn more taijutsu, but at the same moment he realized that he wanted to protect the village more than anything. It was his home and he was going to keep it safe.

Zakuro suddenly remembered that there was an organization that were centered around protecting the village. That sounded like something that he was interested in doing. If only he could remember the name of the organization he would be able to find it. All he could remember was that it had a really interesting name.

Well if he couldn't remember the name then he would have to search for it. If he wanted to protect the village then that would probably be the best place to go.

Zakuro stood up and stretched. He was getting ready for his leap of faith. He was going to see just how cool he could make this landing. He suddenly used a hand seal, and focused the chakra into his feet. Zakuro spread his arms out in a T formation and fell forward off of the branch. His body turned into a dive through the air. Suddenly Zakuro tucked in his body, doing a front flip in the air, and landed. The momentum at which he was going was incredible yet still he felt no strain on his legs. This jutsu was amazing.

He knew the next jutsu that he was going to learn. It was an extension of the jumping jutsu that he had just learned although this one would allow him to go twice as high. He could get to the top of the tree with this technique. This was going to be awesome. Zakuro used the hand seals needed for the jutsu and felt the chakra build up in his feet. He was ready for a jump. His legs folded at the knee like and they looked as if they were ready to spring up at any time. Zakuro jumped.

He soared up into the air. Yet again the feeling of weightlessness overwhelmed him. He almost forgot to jump the second, but by the time he snapped out of his feeling of wonder it was too late. Zakuro tried jumping for the second time, but the jutsu had stopped and he was on his way down. Quickly Zakuro formed a hand seal and braced for impact.

Yet again the jutsu made the impact into nothing. This was probably his new favorite jutsu. He loved falling through the sky. It was one of the best things he's experienced. The wind flowing through his hair, the cool breeze against his skin, the feeling of weightlessness, the illusion of being free. He started to wonder what flying feels like. It would probably be the same but infinite. He would love that.

His eyes turned to the skies once again. Focus Zakuro, you need to pull this off. He weaved the hand seals again. This time he was determined to make it up higher into the tree. It was his going to be awesome.

With a grin on his face, Zakuro took a leap. He flew through the warm morning air, towards the tree. Once he reached the crown of his jump, Zakuro felt a small amount of pressure build up beneath his feet. He knew that that was the signal for another jump. He angled himself towards a nearby branch and jumped. His second jump only launched him 5 feet into the air, but it was just enough to land onto the branch.

He looked up at the top of the tree. He stilled had 20 or so feet to go. Maybe this technique was going to be a little bit more difficult than he thought. Maybe he didn't jump hard enough when he jumped the second time.

Zakuro leaped off again. This whole thing was starting to get repetitive. Jump on a tree, leap off of the tree. Do it over and over again. He thought about how boring his training was and remembered Aina below. In order to train in punching style taijutsu you have to punch over and over again. Also he got the added benefit of flying through the air. Her hands were probably all cut up and damaged while he was sitting on a giant tree having some fun. He obviously got the good deal.

Zakuro started stretching. He bent over and touched his toes, stretched out his legs, and arms. He then did a couple of jumping jacks to finish up his stretching. He then looked towards the sky. He wondered how far he'd be able to get if he worked at it hard enough. Maybe he could jump to the top of the Hokage memorial some day.

With that image in his mind Zakuro started using the jutsu again. He weaved the hand seals and prepared himself for another jump. He began charging his chakra into his feet and then he jumped. He flew into the air like a speeding arrow. Once he had reached the pinnacle of his jump, he used the jutsu to jump again, but this time he put all of his focus into the strength of his jump. Suddenly the jutsu had ended before he got to jump. He took his mind away from the jutsu for too long and he lost control of it. Zakuro started soaring towards the ground.

He formed a hand seal and landed safely on his feet. Obviously putting all of his strength into jumping wasn't going to work. Zakuro thought about what else he could be doing wrong. Maybe he wasn't using enough chakra. This was a pretty advanced technique after all.

Zakuro marked a branch as his target. He was going to get there, he just knew it. His hands started forming hand seals and he focused a large amount of chakra into his feet. He jumped into the air. He flew up until he reached his 30 feet max and still felt that the chakra in his feet was going strong. He was confident about this one. He jumped again and flew up even higher. Suddenly Zakuro reached his target. It must've been luck because he just barely made it too.

Zakuro looked up at the top of the tree it was about ten feet away. He looked down at the ground. That was about 50 feet away. He fell back to the earth. Mid air he used the hand seal that he had already used countless times that day. With his chakra focused in his feet, Zakuro landed softly on the ground.

He looked up at the very top of the tree. It's point swaying in the air. That was his target. He weaved the hand seals, focused his chakra and jumped. After flying for a couple seconds Zakuro was at the pinnacle of his jump. He felt the pressure of chakra beneath his feet and jumped again. His body flew into the sky with much more force than the last jump.

The tree quickly went from being right next to him to being beneath him. He landed on the very top of the tree. As soon as his foot touched the top of the tree a giant gust of wind blew. Before Zakuro knew it he was falling towards the ground. The situation did not look good, but he believed in his jutsu. Zakuro weaved a hand sign, focused chakra into his feet, and fell. The ground quickly rose up to meet him, but he landed with a soft thud.

Zakuro yelled out "whoohoo! I did it!"

He looked over at Kazuo, and shouted at him. "Now how was that?"

Senju Taiga.

Was what he wanted to say. Instead, he watched Zakuro introduce himself and took to the background. In response to Kazuo's question. Taiga shrugged and played coy.

"Weeeelll I wasn't gunna ask you to spar but if that's what you really want..." he said as his lips duck-faced and he looked like a jackass. Clearly his intention and hopes were for a spar.

His shoulders bouncing he grinned.

"So do you wanna start or do I? Man this is awkward. Taiga, by the way." he said with a funny tone- he wondered if the dog brains boy would get his joke.

The face Taiga pulled had Kazuo's eyebrow twitching. Was this guy serious? Letting out a long breath, Kazuo rolled his neck and stretched his arms across his chest, taking a few steps back from Taiga and lowering into a fairly loose stance. He had no need to go four-legged for this. "I think I'll go first. And if you don't mind I'm going to try something, okay?" Kazuo didn't particularly care if he got permission or not. He dug his heels into the ground, his stance suddenly tightening and building tension. He lowered himself even further to the ground, almost as if he was going to go on all fours, and then he pushed all of that tension and built up energy into his legs as he kicked off.

Putting all of his strength into a crouching start, there was a fraction of a second where it felt like time slowed and Kazuo was going to fall flat on his face. His breath, which he didn't realize he was holding up until that moment, came out in an explosive exhale as he pushed enough strength into his legs to correct himself and turn his near fall into a run at maximum speed in a very short amount of time. The resulting explosion of energy and speed had Kazuo soaring straight past Taiga. He dug his hand into the ground to slow himself, tearing up a good chunk of the earth in the process.

"Huh. Well that didn't exactly go according to plan."

Taiga nodded and gave the boy permission to act, and within moments, he had gone hurtling past him into the ground. Startled, he hopped back and began to back peddle. Shit this guys fast. He could see the boy digging into the ground. The not working out how he intended it part said by Kazuo seemingly went right over the boys head.

Did he intend to fly by me so he could take me from behind?!!? Jeez this guy is a tactical genius!

"Now's my chance!" he shouted as he slammed his hand into the ground. The red lines on his face shot up around his eyes forming red rings and just as quickly shot out from the inner corners of his eyes forming fangs downward and parallel to his nose.

He felt his chakra mixing and molding as his body changed instantaneously. While he was supposed to keep this shit on the DL he couldn't handle this guy without bringing his best- and his best was his Sage Mode.

Reaching into his bag he threw four kunai into the air and then began to seal before slamming his hand on the ground again as tendrils flew into the air and grabbed the falling kunai.

"How's your dancing?" he cried out as he sent the tendrils forward towards the boy, a flurry of steel.

Kazuo looked up from under his bangs when Taiga shouted. He saw the lines on the guy's face extend and let out a growl. So it was going to be like that, huh? Kazuo recognized a transformation technique when he saw one, even if he had no idea what it would do. He ran through a set of his own handseals and flooded his entire body with chakra. The result was Kazuo's pupils elongating into slits, his nails growing into fully fledged claws, and his muscle mass increasing making him appear physically bigger, though not by much. Slamming his fist into the ground, he quickly opened it and spread his fingers out, claws digging into the ground to give him a decent starting point.

When the roots appeared, Kazuo knew he was up against a Senju and figured he was all good in going all out. Every Senju he had ever met was not someone to be screwed with. Digging his feet into the ground hard enough to leave small indentations as he built up tension and power again, he grinned at Taiga, baring his fangs at the guy. "My dancing..!" He cut himself off as he pushed forward, putting all of his strength into his legs and taking off at full speed. Again there was so much power than he almost tripped over his own feet but this time he recovered that much quicker, using his claws and enhanced strength to right himself before moving in a zigzag pattern on all fours, swerving through the kunai, surprised at just how fast they were. He supposed that was the advantage of throwing them with chakra powered roots instead of physically.

As he moved he made sure to never slow down, knowing that would defeat the purpose of this technique. He was relying on his senses of smell and sound to pinpoint Taiga's position since he had backpedalled from where he had originally started. His own vision was little more than that of a blur, the wind in his eyes as he moved making them water. Swerving in and around the roots, he was using his claws to allow for pinpoint turning while still moving at such blinding speeds. He had no idea how Kawa moved like this all the time, it was seriously straining his eyes.

Deciding it was best to simply close them, he focusing entirely on the scent Taiga gave off. It took a few more seconds than usual considering he was constantly moving but when he got a read on Taiga's location he put on a burst of speed and circled around behind the Senju, putting all of his strength into coming to a dead stop behind him. He'd reach out to grab his shoulder, his claws digging in a little and would keep his feral grin broad, revealing just how sharp his teeth were. "... is great."

The guy was fast. Really fast. The kind of fast where Taiga couldn't even track him and just kind of squirmed his roots around as the guy flew through them.

Shit!

He barely had eough of a window, but, turning and coming towards him meant the boy would slow and for one brief moment, he'd know exactly where he was. In conjunction with this window, the boy would also be trapped within all of his roots as he had chosen to dance through them rather than just destroy them or go around it.

That was Taiga's opening and he'd tilt his roots up at the boy's crotchal region, not even with enough force to be noticed, and before he knew it, the dog guy would be on him.

Taiga squirmed a little bit, wincing all through out. This dude had sharp nails. He should probably cut them with a clippers- maybe Taiga could share a grooming regiment with him or something.

"Down boy. Also check your zipper!" he said, his finger quickly extending along with his arm to point at the older boy. His other hand extended up past his face, masking it dramatically.

He, still putting chakra into his roots past his move, had them pull back towards him and hover around in the air, dancing epicly behind him.

"Next you're going to say, but when?"

Kazuo blinked once. Then twice. He glanced down, and then back at the runt's face. "You know. I can appreciate a joke. I really can. But there is one thing you never do." Kazu reared back his hand, clenching it into a fist. "You never, and I mean ever, use a Ninjutsu that close to another man's junk!" With that Kazuo twisted his hips and put all of his power into his punch, aimed right at the annoying Senju's nose. Whether he blocked it or not, there was enough power in that punch to send the guy flying. Correcting the fly on his pants, Kazuo let out a growl.

Digging his feet into the ground, he pushed off at maximum speed in a straight line. The more he moved like this the more he was growing accustomed to it, he was even able to keep his eyes open this time, though perhaps that had more to do with the fact he wasn't dodging around roots like a crazy person. Once he could get used to moving at that speed while in his normal form rather than his transformed state, then it would be really useful. Until then, he would make do with using it in his Four-Legged state. He came to a halt right in front of where Taiga had landed, stopping just as quickly as he had started. He rolled his shoulders and neck, staring down at the Senju with a cocky grin. "So tell me something, could you even track my movements at all? Or was that just luck?"

Similarly, Taiga blinked once. Then twice in response. He was really hoping that it'd work and the first words to exist Kazuo's mouth would be "when did you do that" but alas, it was not. He glanced menacingly at him.

He than scolded Taiga, and Taiga instantly knew what was coming. Before he could do anything about it a fist went flying into him, blood streaming out of his nose as went flying backwards, his roots behind him going limp and still as the jutsu ended. Luckily he had them behind him, and, when he collided into them, it allowed him to break his fall... sort of? He hit hard woody roots but it was better then continuing to fly.

Rolling on the ground he fumbled about, nothing but the smell of iron and amonia.

To answer Kazuo's question it was pure luck. But he would never ever tell him that, now would he?

"I calculated it." he said pushing himself onto his side so that his hands couldn't be seen and were hidden by his body. He sealed. Next, he tried to act very convincingly that he was stumbling about, his hand to his face as he stood up.

He had molded nature chakra into his next move and was going to stun this boy!

He threw a punch for him. Not that it'd hit. This dude was way faster.

Kazu gave Taiga a disbelieving look at the claim. He seriously doubted this spazoid calculated a damn thing in his life. Still, he shrugged and gave him the benefit of the doubt. "If you say so." Rather than try for an attack, Kazuo simply stood with arms folded and waited for Taiga to get up after all of his stumbling about. He grinned at the punch and decided to answer in kind, intercepting Taiga's punch with his own. He was a little surprised when wood sprouted from Taiga's hand and tried to punch him even harder, but Kazuo wasn't having any of that, putting more force into his punch and breaking straight through the wooden fist. "Nice try."

He backpedalled a bit to put some distance and looked around the field for the amazing bouncing wonder. Wherever he was, he was jumping around like a lunatic that much was for certain. "Oi Zak, how about you try out some of those moves on Taiga over here. Save me the trouble, eh?" He turned back towards Taiga and grinned. "If you can stop me in the next thirty seconds, I'll keep sparring with you. Otherwise, I think its lunch time." With that he started to casually walk back towards his dog, curious as to how Taiga would attempt to stop him or even if he would.

Zakuro had been watching the entire fight from various position on the field. It was interesting to watch the fight from all of the different angles. It was like the world had a new perspective. Even though the fight was fairly lame so far, he had fun. The only interesting thing was the dog boy's speed. He couldn't keep up with it.

Zakuro had always prided himself in his speed, but there was obviously an opponent in front of him that had a lot more speed. There were a lot of people in this world that were faster than Zakuro, he just had to accept that.

Once Zakuro heard his name called, he looked in the direction of the speaker. Kazuo apparently wanted him to fight this Taiga person. Zakuro was bored, so he decided to take on the challenge. "Yeah, I think I'll take you up on that offer." Zakuro weaved a hand seal, jumped 30 feet into the air, and then he weaved another hand seal. He had moved forward enough to the point where he was about to land on top of Taiga. Zakuro tap the fuuin on his back and an old chipped up katana appeared in his hand. He gripped the handle, and held the sword so that it would stab straight through Taiga if he didn't move.

The hell!

Taiga groaned as his fist was caught, and the wooden one following it instantly destroyed in the grip of the dog boy. His eyes began to water with frustration as if, almost in slow motion, his mind processed the hand crushing and the splinters flying out everywhere. Anger welled within him, great anger.

Boom.

His hand free-hand reflexively formed a seal as the wood and splinters flew up all around them, and if he had kept moving, he would of exploded them in the other boys hand- but he paused, holding himself back.

Even now, you still let them all get to you. A voice called in the back of his head. It was his uncle Sou, who had died during the invasion defending genin. Like him, Sou has been tormented, beat-up, and worse, alienated by everyone in the village for his failures. For a moment, he stood still, his eyes open wide, staring past the other boy.

Damnit.

He wasn't strong enough yet. Even with his new trick he was nothing. He could hear the voices of his bullies from his academy days flowing through his head, mocking him for his failure.

Forcing a smile forward, his hand that had been sealing closed into a fist, and he bowed his head.

"That'll be enough dog boy-san." he said raising his thumb. "I don't want to tire myself out too much on you." he said with the cockiest of grins.

Before he knew it though, another boy was coming flying down towards him.

Shit. Sealing and turning on his heal his hands weaved as the boy's sword drew as drawn, and just in time for the slash, roots sprouted forth. The boy was fast, but his grip was weak.

The roots came up, grabbing at the sword with all four- his slash not strong enough to carry through the roots, and their speeds, equally enough matched for Taiga to use his lack of control in his movement to fling him full force into the ground by his own weapon.

He had just cooled himself off and now this guy was swinging swords at him?

He'd show the stronger wolf boy that he wasn't last on the pecking order at this place.

Before Zakuro knew what was going on, his sword suddenly gained a mind of his own and threw him into the ground. He flew a couple of feet and landed hard on his side. Damn it, I need to work that technique.

He got up and had a slight wince. He had forgotten about his injuries from the invasion. They had healed, but only just recently. Apparently his body was more susceptible to being hurt in the places where he got injured.

A slight grin grew across Zakuro's face although his eyes looked blood thirsty. He grabbed his kunai for some protection. He glanced at his sword. There was no way to get it where it is. Hopefully he could get it soon. He would need to some how throw off his concentration. That would require him to attack.

He quickly threw a shruriken at Taiga, then charged at the wood boy. His kunai was in his hand, ready to strike.

Heh. Too slow.

Taiga spotted the shuriken coming in, and the boy drawing his kunai. While the dog boy had been levels beyond him, against a fellow genin, the eternal genin had the experience and strength he needed to win.

"Too slow!" he called out as his roots blocked the shuriken, it sinking into the tip with a barely audible "thud". As the boy approached, he swung a root at his foot, one at his wrist, and the other root with the shuriken lodged in it (and effectively a blade) at the boy. Hopefully he'd dodge or move, or he'd be minced.

Judging by how he threw his weapon though his strength was low despite his speed being strong. That would make turning fast on a dime and stopping and redirecting momentum shaky for him.

The last root stayed near him, protecting him just in case he'd need it.

It was time the eternal genin showed off.

Zakuro had a feeling that his attack wasn't going to reach Taiga. He already had some form of defense in his mind when he attacked Taiga. Zakuro was never too slow. Nobody could call him too slow. He was one of the fastest genin alive. There was no way he could be too slow.

Zakuro, with his pride in his speed, Zakuro decided to screw any type of defensive strategy and continued sprinting right at Taiga. His eyes were focused on Taiga. He didn't even notice the root by his foot. It only took him a couple of steps, but the root tripped Zakuro.

Once on the ground, he started getting up as fast as he could, praying that Taiga's roots couldn't keep up with him. If they could, he would be screwed, but Zakuro had to show the kid that he was fast. He knew he was fast. He couldn't let the kid talk down to him. With the kunai still firmly gripped in Zakuro's hand, and while running at full speed, Zakuro weaved a hand seal and jumped. He was going to try the same thing he had done with his sword, only this time he was going to stab him with a kunai.

Whilst in the air, Zakuro weaved another hand seal that would give him a safe landing.

He started landing towards Taiga.
Jutsu UsedShow
*[Jump]
D-Ranked Nintaijutsu

*[Land]
D-Ranked Nintaijutsu
Jutsu TrainedShow
[Flying Slice]
D-Rank Taijutsu
Prerequisites: A sharp weapon
The user either jumps from a high position or utilizes [Jump] to strike from the air. Whilst in the air, the user positions them self over the target and begins to fall towards them. Using the momentum gained from falling, the user then either attempts to slice their opponent with their weapon or they try to stab them, usually through the chest.

Damn.

The boy was moving faster and faster this time and he was having issues tracking him. He was appearing slightly a blur, but general direction was all Taiga needed. It helped that he boy kept attacking head on, and, probably couldn't even see and process the speed he was moving at. Taiga brought is roots back to him rapidly.

The one that he had left near him would grab onto the kunai stuck in the ground near him and use it to deflect the incoming attack. When boy got close enough it would lurch forward to clash with him.

At the same time, he would send the other three roots, which would at this point be behind the boy, hurtling for his back. Of course, if the boy didn't dodge, he'd stop before actually causing any harm. Injuring the people you trained with generally was not a golden idea.

In the midst of the clash, he would note.

"Senju Taiga. You move well boy."

It looked like he'd have someone to keep an eye on, someone he could have fun with in the mean-time while he worked towards reaching dog boy's level.

Zakuro was in one of the worst positions he had been in in a long time. He was falling in the air with no way to change directions. He wasn't strong enough to do anything drastic with the roots like grabbing them and using them to swing away from all the others. Even though a more intelligent ninja could've have easily escaped this, Zakuro couldn't devise a plan it time. The only thing he could do was prepare for the hit.

Zakuro's kunai hit root in front of him as he feet touched the ground. His eyes were closed as he awaited the blow, but it did not come. He had a look of confusion on his face when he slowly opened his eyes to see what was going on.

All he saw was Taiga standing in front of him. It was obvious that that fight was over. Taiga didn't look like he was going to land the hit.

Zakuro sensed a bit of embarrassment since he lost, but he didn't want to admit he was a loser. He look at Taiga again. "Do you want to have a rematch?"

"Sure." he said to the other boy, accepting his rematch. He did not intend to truly get a good fight out of this so much as he thought it would be a good opportunity to get to the next level of his sage mode. Releasing sage mode, he stood resolute for a moment, visually queuing the other boy to wait. In this time he would begin to coalesce nature energy all around himself, building it up and raising his reserves as he carefully mixed it with his own chakra. He was very determined to reach and unlock the next stage in his sage training, for the next stage would unlock even more power than he had previously. His hands together Taiga closed his eyes completing the merging of his natural chakra with that of his own- a near perfect set. When done, he opened his eyes slowly, the lines of makeup darting over his face and changing in shape. He felt more powerful than before- more intune with his chakra. He was sure he'd be capable of some stuff in this state.

With that done, he played around in his tenketsu, pulsing his chakra through his body and getting an adept feel of how things were working. This allowed him to understand whether or not he was fully successful in merging the amount of nature energy he attempted with himself, for too much would throw his chakra system off badly.

When done he began to perform hand seals. He felt the chakra in his body come out and forth, it all merging together with natural energy and becoming one as his techniques chakra input ballooned. From the moment, things felt correct and it seemed his new state of sagery had been mastered. Waving to the other boy, he signaled he was ready to begin, and completed his handseals.

He steeled himself for the fight. If he could hold his chakra for a bit longer he'd be good to go and be able to maintain his sage mode. And with that done, and his control and technique activated, he lurched forward. In mere moments he would be releasing a dense and small packed fist-sized delivery of hard wood into Zakuro. He'd put a lot more chakra into the hit, and if successful, it would wind up doing more damage than a D-Rank. To be exact, his move in this state would be clocked at something more a kin to C-Rank, which meant that it would be effective against his opponent. He moved forward with that in mind, chakra pulsing through his fist, both his own and that of natures which he had so aptly decided to borrow for a bit.

"Let's see how it goes." he shouted as he threw his fist forward in an attempt to strike Zakuro. Hopefully they boy kept with the whole spar thing and didn't do something stupid like stab his hand.
