A crowd of newly promoted genin about 3 from the academy shrouded around a young academy student. Dust being scuffed up, and the sound of punches and kicks being thrown. Insults could be hurled along side the blows and the cackles of the mean genin as they bullied the young academy student. It was obvious these three were bullies, and not even sympathetic ones at that. They resorted to bullying an academy student because they knew he couldn't do anything about it. The genin looked like the big strong sort, your stereotypical bully. The noon sun beat down on the group as they beat down on the genin. The scene on an empty training field, it appeared that the academy student had been dragged here against his will.

The one genin on the left looked burly, a typical user of strength and probably taijutsu. He stood tall and draped in brown shorts, and a white shirt with a brown jacket draped around his shoulders. His headband layed against his collarbones as it was tied around his neck. His hair looked to be jet black with streaks of light glimmering off, the scent of hair gel filled the air.

Fanho walked past the training field chewing on bubblegum as he slowly began to pick up on a scuffle occurring on the other side of the trees on his right. Fanho ears perked up along with him hopping up leaping off a low hanging tree branch onto another one sitting mid way giving a clear oversight over the training field. He could clearly see the scene at hand, and the deliberate bullying occurring. It made his stomach revolt at the idea and sight. Who would ever dare bully an innocent academy student.

Fanho shook his head at the injustice before hopping down on the training field running towards the group until he was about 5 meters away. "HEY! Let off the kid or else you'll be dealing with me." Fanho stood tall against the injustice of the newly promoted genin, who did they think they were bullying against a poor kid who couldn't defend their selves. While Fanho a genin himself didn't seem to pose much a threat, he certainly could maybe hold his own against two of them, but the three could pose a threat.

One of the bullies spoke up at the sight of him, "Yeah?! You and what army!" The three bullies turned their attention towards Fanho as the academy student scurried over battered and bruised behind Fanho. The Academy student clenched to his hand as Fanho stood fierce and confident against the three genin. The scene looked just like a page from an action novel or frame from an action movie. The hero versus villain, good versus evil, light versus darkness; that didn't matter though, this is reality, and physics and numbers always matter in reality.

Zakuro walked through the fields of Konaha, searching for a good spot to train for the day. The sky was bright and the sun was hot. It was the perfect day for training. He was starting to sweat, but that didn't stop him from continuing onto a good training field. Suddenly, the wind picked up and blew through Zakuro's hair. His hair swayed as he walked around. The cool wind felt good on the fresh sweat that started covering his body.

Whilst in a state of peace, Zakuro heard a yell. It sounded like someone was getting hurt. Zakuro started running to see what the deal was. As the situation entered his sight, Zakuro figured out what was going on. There were three boys hurting a boy that was much younger. He then watched another person run up and tell them to stop. There against one was terrible odds. Zakuro assumed that the man would need some help in his fight.

Zakuro ran over to the man's side, and as if on Que, Zakuro replied to the question "You and what army?" with one word. "Me."

It really wasn't in Gene's character to get involved with troublesome affairs but when his sanctity was disturbed well, that was a different matter entirely. The young Genin could be found literally napping in a tree having spent most of the day avoiding his parents and colleagues alike in foresight of a rigorous training session that he'd rather not have been apart of. Honestly, who'd have thought a tree would make for so comfortable a resting place?

Up until the sound of constant jeering struck several chords in his ear of course. Seriously, hadn't they heard of volume control? With a low groan and some stretches Gene awoke and almost immediately frowned soon after. Below him, a gathering of boys probably well over his age stood front and center in a stare down - well, not really. They were arguing about who was going to hit who which made no sense seeing as how they'd already made quite the fuss as it was. With that in mind, Gene found a stray piece of bark and with all the precision and diligence of a calm, nonchalant & annoyed instigator - launched it at the first Genin whom seemed neither smart enough or fast enough to perceive it coming.

*THWACK* The impact was sound and served to draw everyone's attention up to the tree where Gene could still be found. You should really ease up on the noise, Gene started though he'd yawned mid way through his sentence. I was in the middle of a good dream. It might have not have been the best reason to start a fight but to Gene of all people, sleep was sacred and those who dared interrupt him usually paid the ultimate price when he felt his muse. It was ironic but out of the three assembled to beat up the bullies, Gene seemed to be the only one who hadn't actually been getting involved because of the bullying.

It'd taken him a moment but Gene finally did drop from the tree and found himself walking up along side the other two bringing his left hand up to adjust the white scarf around his neck. Sorry, but you're gonna have to get a beating.

Hyuuga Aina was taking a break from the rather sizeable mountain of paperwork that Kawa had, as usual, left her with. In one hand she had a cup of tea which she sipped at carefully, and in the other hand a small box of pocky, with a single piece hanging out of the corner of her mouth as she walked. Simply trying to relax, the young woman was walking a path out by the training grounds, her byakugan active as she tried to track who was nearby.

Normally activity of a group fighting wouldn't draw her attention but as she paused she noticed the difference in the figures, and the way they gathered around someone, and those that intervened. She wasn't sure just what the details were and so decided to get a closer look, turning and running into the trees and maintaining a silence as she finally found one with a good view of the situation and crouched on the branch and looked down, a piece of pocky still hanging out of her mouth.

Three bullies going after an academy student hm? That was something the Jounin would have definitely intervened on, but it seemed three others had already stepped in, and seeing as she recognized two of them, she chose to linger and watch. The third, who seemed to have been the first to intervene, she didn't know but curiosity got the best of the woman as she remained to watch the scene below her unfold.

After all, if things got out of hand, having a Jounin around just might come in handy.

Fanho readied his stance as he ushered the kid to run off and hide away for a bit. Things were about to unfold violently. Fanho watched as three other genin he hadn't met before stood beside him. Each opening up ready to fight. The third arrived a bit lazily, but none the less ready to fight. Fanho nodded at his newly fount allies, "Shall we?"

Fanho made his first move running towards the group before picking off the large burly one draped in brown. He ran up and attempted to throw a snap punch at the genin's nose to try and throw him off guard. The larger genin took the punch to the gut and laughed as he threw a even lazier punch back that hit with more than half the force Fanho threw his punch with. Fanho was thrown back slightly grasping at his gut. Agh, bad idea. . . Fanho recollected himself, and went at it for another time.

He quickly sprinted back out at his target readying his right fist as he sprinted towards the large one again. This time he had a plan at least.

Zakuro watched as his ally had ran towards the largest one on the crowd. He knew that the fight had broken out and it was only a matter of time before the other two would set out for an attack. His ally's punch seemed to do no damage to his opponent. Zakuro's expression turned from one of delight to one of fear. What if they weren't enough for these men?

Zakuro had no time to ponder the question as the man wearing yellow and red charged at him. Without hesitation, Zakuro's hands began to weave signs, but he couldn't finish the jutsu before the man was upon him. Not expecting his opponent to move at that speed, Zakuro received a hard hit straight to the face.

Zakuro thought for sure that his hand seals would finish in time. He was dead wrong. Zakuro thought to himself that the man appeared to move faster than Zakuro could, but threw the idea aside. Zakuro had only seen Genin move slower or around the same speed of him. He had never seen a genin go faster.

The unexpected punch knocked Zakuro to the ground. He looked up at the yellow and red clad man. He noticed a huge grin on the mans face. Zakuro placed his hands firmly on the ground in front of him and hoisted himself up. A trickle of blood ran down his face from his lip. Zakuro ran at the man.

Zakuro had a plan slowly forming in his head. He was going to make this man hurt if it was the last thing that he did. As he started performing hand seals, he looked over at the third member of their party. He was curious as to how their fight was going.

Shall we? One of Gene's makeshift allies had asked though before an answer could be given, the guy had already lurched forward with the intent on taking on a bulky looking Genin. Interestingly enough, when Fanho had struck - his punch literally dealt no damage at all. To Gene this meant one of two things: Either he hadn't been strong enough to deal the full blow or his opponent was far stronger than him. Which for Gene, meant that all engagements Taijutsu oriented dealing with that particular person was off limits - though he'd hoped that he were wrong for the simple fact that it wouldn't have done anything but make their job more troublesome.

Sadly, that wasn't the case. In the same moment that Fanho made contact the other guy brushed it off, laughing even at the guy's foolishly driven attempt to deal harm which had caused Gene to groan in the background. Moreover, in the same instance, Zakuro had also began to take action, weaving through hand seals or well - trying. But found himself abruptly stopped by the third Genin who as far as Gene could tell, was much faster than the three of them combined. This whole ordeal was beginning to shape up really terrible.

And then there was the last guy, poorly matched in deciding to wear a blue shorts with a yellow long sleeved shirt (despite the fact that in Konoha it was pretty much always warm temperature) who had stood back with a annoying smirk on his face. Gene wondered why he hadn't gotten involved yet but imagined that he were waiting for an opportunity to get the jump on someone when they least expected it. Either that or he'd been waiting on Gene to make a move - in which case, the young Genin slipped his left hand behind him and into his brown pouch in order to take hold of a smoke bomb. Typically his go to weapon of choice would have been Shuriken or Kunai but against Leaf ninja, even if they were scum - he couldn't use such dangerous items. What's more, he hadn't exactly been oblivious to the situation - there was an Academy student stuck in the middle of all this which put him in the danger zone. Six Genin all capable of using Ninjutsu and Taijutsu to whatever extent would still be problematic for a younger kid who couldn't use either effectively; with that in mind, Gene's agenda was a simple one. He'd need to lure the three away from that boy in order to liberate him and fortunately, the two makeshift teammates of his had already distracted the other two ninja.

Alright, one of them is definitely faster than you and the other is significantly stronger. However, they won't be able to come at me if they can't see so it doesn't matter how fast or strong they are. I've got one shot at this. Gene pressed forward proceeding in a zig-zag formation taking care to pivot at each end point to ensure that his inward cuts were much sharper and harder to read. Eh? The boy who had just floored Zakuro immediately shifted his attention to Gene and practically turned to face him. On Gene's end, this was bad because it meant that he'd end up in a foot race that he damn sure knew he would lose. However, he'd hoped that Zakuro wouldn't waste the split second opening and attack from behind while the chance was there.

As for the brutish one, he'd noticed Gene as well but lacked the capacity to give chase effectively and simply focused on Fanho as if to suggest that it were out of his hands. Good, so far... The problem presented itself in Gene's final stretch as the speedster of the enemy team rushed after Gene forcing him to cast his smoke bomb out a second too early before weaving through three consecutive hand seals in the smoke as it spread throughout the area using that window to perform his first jutsu. A small one mind you, but essential to what he had planned.

Under guise of the smoke, Gene created a replica of himself using his Katon natured chakra as a base; the technique would be strong enough to deal damage yet not high enough in rank to kill - at least, he didn't think so. Meanwhile he hid himself in the foliage of a nearby tree where he could watch the show. It was going great so far, as the smoke cleared the clone continued to proceed toward the objective of it all leaving the two who had previously been engaged with Zakuro and Fanho in confusion. For a moment, it seemed as though this would be wrapped up quicker than Gene imagined -- until, it wasn't.

Gene had his clone take a swing at the smug Genin and it'd connected sending the kid to the ground sliding across the dirt which allowed for a sense of victory to the young Genin. Tch, clever little runt! I told you, you're gonna have to take a beating. Gene replied (clone). Heh, sike! *POOF* This runt had used a substitution?! Talk about annoying as shit, Gene's guess was that he'd used the smoke cover the same as Gene to swap himself out and now, he'd been hiding somewhere waiting on his chance to strike. Fortunately, he wasn't smart enough to take the academy student with him. Damn it..Hey kid, you might wanna leave now. This isn't exactly a scene for you if you catch my drift. Said Gene to the boy who still looked frightened. This would probably ruin his perspective of Shinobi for a while but if the Will of fire was as strong in this young kid as it was in all the other honorable ninja, then he should have been fine. OR so Gene hoped..

Aina raised an eyebrow as the skirmish began. Numbers seemed pretty even now but so far the rescuers of the boy seemed pretty outmatched, but that wasn't enough for the Jounin to jump in. Part of her wanted to of course, and it wouldn't be the first time she had jumped in to save someone of their level, it was how she had met Kuodachi after all wasn't it? She'd jumped into plenty of fights when she'd been a chunin but now as a jounin she had come to realize one very important thing.

Saving one person only saved them for a day, if someone could save themselves first, that gave them a confidence to last a life time.

Of course she'd jump in if things became too dangerous, but for now she'd let the fight continue, in the interests of seeing if these boys could turn things around. If not? She'd step in before too long.

As Fanho sprinted off at his burly target he began rethinking his choice of opponent. While surely he wasn't as smart as the middle one, or as fast as the right one maybe had had an advantage over them than this fellow, but his fellow new comrades had already picked their target. The biggest thing would be team work, but for now it wouldn't hurt for the three to take each genin on one at a time to see how they'd fare.

As Fanho was in his dead sprint towards his foe fist ready, his foe readied his own combat stance widening his legs to sturdy his stance, and put his fists up to block whatever attack coming next. Fanho grinned as he got close before dropping into a slide legs first between the bigger genin's legs. The only way to get this guy without considerably harming him a ton is to use his slow speed against him. The tactic would place him behind the genin with an opening to strike. While Fanho had noticed the genin was considerably stronger, almost as strong a Jounin even, evidence from the bruising on his stomach which more than likely would need icing later, he certainly noticed his opponent was slower to react and dodge making the fight a bit easier.

As Fanho came out on the other side of the genin ready to strike upon his back, he weaved some quick seals focusing a good amount of chakra formulating it into a figure much like his own. The coalescing light clone would appear with a dull flash, not enough to blind or obscure vision, but enough to give the tale sign of jutsu. The clone would appear behind Fanho running up as Fanho leaned forward utilizing himself as a ramp to get the height advantage on the burly one cooperating with his clone.

The clone ran forward hoping up on Fanho's back to get that extra push to launch himself above the bigger genin's head. By this time the burly brown draped genin had turned around to face Fanho, and delivered an astonishing snap kick to his chest which knocked spit and the breath right out of Fanho as he flew backwards his back hitting a tree. The young Awai genin kneeled over coughing up spit attempting to recatch what breath was expelled out of him. All the while his clone quickly brought down the heel of his boot on-top of the bigger, burly, bully of a genin's head making him exclaim from pain, "Agh!"

Fanho slowly got back to his feet wiping the drop of spit drooling from his mouth. He quickly cracked his jaw bone, and hands before his clone hopped backwards joining beside him ready for the next tag-team move.

Zakuro noticed his opponent look away, so instantly he knew it was a good time to use some jutsu. He wouldn't get hit this time for sure. Zakuro's hands quickly move together, forming intricate seals with his fingers as he did so. He had hopes that this Genin wasn't quick enough to dodge the oncoming attack. If not then Zakuro would all ready be on the way to winning the fight.

Suddenly, a clone of raiton appeared next to Zakuro. It was ready to fight. When the genin looked back, he would have a hard time knowing which one was the real one. Zakuro started his sprint as his hands formed more seals and the real Zakuro jumped into the air, about 30 feet up. As soon as his feet left the ground he continued with even more hand seals.

His clone continued the charge and swung some wild punches at the genin, but the genin was to fast for it, and he dodged every single one. He then hit the clone with a couple of counter punches, and caused it to explode. Luckily, the fight had spread out, and there was a good distance between everyone of them. If they were too close, then Zakuro wouldn't be able to use this technique.

The fast genin, got stunned by the exploding clone, but was quick enough to look up at Zakuro. He was lucky to see a boy falling from the sky, covered in lightning. Of course the genin ran, but he wasn't fast enough. Zakuro hit the ground below him with his fist, and a large shockwave of ration came out and hit the genin.

After this barrage of jutsu, Zakuro found himself out of breath. He was completely exhausted. He forgot to limit himself and was now paying the price. He would need about a minute to catch his breath before fighting again. His stamina was absolutely terrible, but hopefully the genin was hurt enough to quit the fight.

After the user does the needed hand seals, a clone, lacking substance and the ability to interact with its environment, will form. These clones are destroyed after coming into contact with any physical object. As these clones have no free will, they are unable to do more than mimic the user's movements. However, unlike normal clones, these are filled with Raiton chakra. Whenever they disperse, they create a small blast of Raiton chakra in 1 meter in each direction causing slight shocks and numbness. The clone has the following stats:
Taijutsu: 1
Stamina: 1
Strength: 1

*[Jump]
D-Ranked Nintaijutsu
The rudimentary technique of the High Style, Jump requires the user to first perform a single handseal, followed by focusing chakra into the feet. When the user jumps, be it at a standstill or with momentum, the chakra will release in a burst, sending him/her a distance that depends on the amount of chakra placed into the technique. This boost is purely in vertical distance; horizontal distance depends on the user's momentum when this technique is performed, meaning it causes higher jumps, not longer ones. The maximum height that can be gained using this technique, no matter that amount of chakra placed into it, is 30 feet, while the minimum is 5 feet. Each jump with this burst counts as a new use of this technique, and thus requires handseals to be reactivated.

Grand Technique: The Thunder God's Flying Fist Of Divine Judgement - Flying Bolt Of Godly Fury
C-Rank Nintaijutsu
Prerequisite: Raiton Concentration
After the user uses the required hand seals, they then allow raiton chakra to flow around their body, covering themselves with lightning. They then proceed to fall from a height of 30 feet or more. Once they hit the ground they slam their fist into it using the momentum from falling. A large shockwave of raiton chakra then flows 5 feet from the area of impact in all directions, moving at a speed of 6. If someone gets hit directly by the punch, they will receive a loss in motor functions at the area surrounding the impact, and will feel as though they were being stabbed by daggers all across their body for 3 posts alongside the damage from the hit. If someone is within the blast radius then they feel as though they are being stabbed with a dagger across their body for 3 posts.

They hadn't been getting anywhere and continuously attacking without a strategy was both time wasting and energy consuming. The closest person to saving the bullied child was Gene and as everyone had just witnessed, his plan hadn't gone so well. In the end, the three were separated and Gene found himself in a pinch between three others who well - wanted to kick his teeth in. Actually, that wasn't entirely true. Fortunately Gene had the presence of mind to use a clone technique in the confusion and hide which, while not exactly the bravest thing to do - provided him with some time to think and if need be, a reasonable diversion assuming no one else had caught on.

There problem wasn't the speedster or the brute - the person with an ability to coordinate strategy was who they really had to worry about and as it stood - Gene didn't know where the guy went. He was in a position where he could mount attacks on both Zakuro and the other guy respectively and still remain hidden. Gene's clone on the other hand, moved to liberate the bullied boy while the chance still presented itself. Sure the other two were mid-fight right now but there wasn't anyone to defer Gene from his original purpose at the moment. As far as he was concerned, the fighting could definitely wait. The boy, bruised and emotionally scared, with some - nudging... began to move. However, due to the injuries he'd sustained his fastest speed wasn't really all that fast....At all. In fact, the guy practically limped away while Gene continued scanning the area trying to find his opponent. This is bothersome.... Gene thought to himself, especially since he couldn't use the full extent of his techniques.

The one she was unfamiliar with, who she would later find out was named Fanho, certainly impressed Aina to a degree. He was taking on an opponent that clearly outmatched him in strength but using tactics to his advantage. Her time with Awai Minoru had been enough for her to recognize the clone the boy used as well. 'An Awai... his tactics certainly make him a credit to his clan.' she mused to herself, quietly making note to look up the boy's file later. He could be useful, and if he wasn't already apart of Mamorinuku Aina found herself curious to know if he had what it took. She'd have to take a look when she got back to the office later... assuming she could dodge Kawa's attempts to drop extra paperwork on her desk anyway.

Then there was Zakuro. With her Byakugan active, Aina watched his use of his own clone as well, and how well he worked with it. The tactics were fairly solid and Aina couldn't help but think he had become more determined since their last, and so far only, meeting. They had spoken after the invasion, both were upset at their actions, or lack their of, during the invasion. And now as Aina watched she could see his renewed resolve, albeit he was a bit foolish still. He had already drained himself, she hoped not entirely, but he would certainly have a hard time here on out. She made a mental note to keep a closer eye on him. If his opponent moved to seriously injure him or worse, anything above a bruise or shallow cut, the Jounin would interfere.

Now Gene was a boy she had encountered once prior as well, and honestly most of the details of that meeting had slipped her mind which Aina felt rather bad for. Her mind had become so preoccupied as of late that anyone she met briefly before the invasion were all but forgotten it seemed. She made a note to look at his file as well later, perhaps it would refresh her memory. She had seen his tactic and unlike what some might have thought, Aina found it smart. Some could think on their feet, it seemed Gene needed to step out of the action to think properly and there was nothing wrong with that in the Jounin's mind. That was why working with a team was best for most, it presented such chances to those who needed it. She did not move to interfere still, watching Gene's opponent even with her Byakugan as she kept an eye on the battlefield of these genin.

Still not a time to step in, she'd stay where she was and watch in silence still, but she was ready should she need to step in. She had a feeling that if it was going to happen, it might come soon.

Fanho stood at the ready waiting for an opening to strike. He would take a quick glance over at his new found allies to see how they were fairing. He took notice as Zakuro keeled over breathing, perhaps he had met his stamina limit? Fanho bit his lip, and took notice as his burly opponent began barreling towards him. Without a minute to waste, or a blink of the eye to spare Fanho's clone quickly locked his hands together as the real Fanho put his foot in the solid hold and launched into the air before landing with his feet down on the tree locking them in place with a chakra seal.

He watched as the gargantuan genin slammed into the tree with his shoulder shaking it, and sending a small fracture into it as the bark from where he hit splintered off. Fanho's clone had poofed into a small dull light and cloud of smoke under the weight of the blow. Fanho formed one hand seal as a ball of light materialized from his hand around the size of a softball. To other ninja it might appear like an attack jutsu, but in all honesty it was just a ball of light used for brightening a room.

As the ball of floating light materialized in his hand Fanho began taking off at full speed down the tree each footstep clacking tearing a little bark off. He lunged forward towards the larger genin peering up at him appearing to attempt to shove the dense ball of light into his face. The burly genin flinched attempting to ready himself for the blow, however the blow was something he hadn't expected. Fanho closed his fist dissipating the ball of light, and instead formed a fist slamming it into the burly genin's nose.

Fanho would turn the blow into a front flip and grab the much larger genin's head and dragging it with him as he fell toppling the large genin backwards. Fanho rolled over readying himself for another strike, but the large genin had grabbed a hold of him chucking him over towards the tree the third genin, who Fanho would come to know later as Gene Mitsurugi. Fanho slammed into the tree shaking it a bit as he hit it with quite a bit of force. Fanho let out an exasperated, "Agh!" As he fell over on his knees once more this time spit mixed with blood trickled out of the corner of his mouth.

He stood up once again readying himself as he rubbed the bruise on his back from slamming into the trees. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth leaving a pink stain on the sleeve of his white jacket. Fanho spit out a glob of spit and blood mixed in towards the bigger genin as to dare him to come once again. This type of injustice burned Fanho, it wasn't right to bully an academy student, and the head band meant more than just power.
Jutsu UsedShow
~Light Release • Small Sun Technique
E-Ranked Ninjutsu
After making a single hand seal, the user of this ability is able to essentially 'solidify' a ball of light in their hands, which takes the color of their personal light. It is roughly the size of a fist or a soft ball and radiates softly, providing roughly the same amount of light as a small desk lamp, but unidirectional. It follows the user's palm and essentially sticks an inch off it. If the user closes their palm, it disappears. It produces no heat and lasts for 3 posts.

*[Basic Jutsu • Act of Tree Climbing]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
By focusing chakra into his/her feet, the user is able to walk up trees and other vertical surfaces in a similar fashion to walking along the ground. This chakra amount must be precise, and although all shinobi learn this technique, the user's control stat will determine how well this jutsu can be executed. Users with low control 2 or lower will often fall during the use of this technique, while users with average control 3 or higher will be able to use this technique functionally. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the user's stamina stat times 3.

The fast genin's body jolted with electricity as he began to move forward. He was in no shape to run as fast as he could, but seeing how Zakuro was a sitting duck, it didn't take long at all for the genin to make his way to the person who shocked him. The pain of the shock was probably very painful. It probably was still very painful for the genin, but he continued on regardless. Zakuro, who could do not much more than stand there, was completely helpless.

The genin's hand formed into a clenched fist. It swung with a ton of force straight into Zakuro's gut. If someone was listening, they be able to hear all the air from Zakuro's lungs leave his body at once. After the hit, Zakuro slowly starting falling towards the ground. He would never hit it because the genin caught him. While Zakuro was in the genin's hands, gasping for breath, the genin forcefully kneed him in the stomach. That would knock Zakuro into a state of near-unconsciousness.

Zakuro's sight turned blurry, but if he could get a little more time to rest he could get back into the fight. His mind began to race. I'm still too weak. Look at this, I was beaten up by someone younger than me. I still can't defend anyone. Maybe if I wasn't so dumb and used so much chakra at once, I wouldn't be in this mess. Maybe those invaders should've taken the time to finish me off. I'm useless anyways. A tear could be seen rolling down Zakuro's cheek.

He felt inspiration fill his body. If someone took this genin away from him and gave him a couple of minutes to rest, he could win. Although this wasn't a book. Odds are, they wouldn't even notice him. Either that or he wouldn't have the power to win at all. He was week after all. Just a frail little boy at the mercy of his opponent.

From his position above ground Gene could see the two enemy ninja clear enough to analyze their strengths and weaknesses which was a good start toward bringing them down. With the boy who had been bullied out of the way, there hadn't been anymore reasons to hold back considering the fact that if these guys dared to call themselves true Shinobi then they should have been able to handle themselves accordingly. Right? Starting off with the first Genin who had been strong no doubt for a Genin but his movements were incredibly slow and easy to read. Gene could see that the appropriate match for him wasn't the Awai who had neither the strength nor speed to impose suitable counters but rather Zakuro who would have been able to use his speed to out maneuver the heavy attacks of the enemy.

As for the speed star who Zakuro had been fighting, his better match just might have been Fanho due to the fact that as an Awai, Fanho was capable of blinding the opponent quickly to disorient the target and thereby make his speed useless. They'd rushed in without first gaining complete clarity over what exactly their opponents had been capable of and now, slowly but surely Gene began to connect the dots. Though sadly, not before his own comrades had taken quite a beating and more than likely, a blow to their will to fight all together.

Not good. If this keeps up we'll be the one's to end up in the hospital. Gene thought to himself while he'd raised his right hand up to his mouth biting down on the thin layer of skin on his index finger. He hadn't drawn blood but the sensation was enough to calm his nerves and shake off the jitters that attempted to creep their way throughout his body. Hesitation, cold feet, negative thoughts. These were things that had little room in the Shinobi world simply because of the fact that dwelling on them would do nothing to push the issue forward. It'd be a troublesome affair but - If this battle was to go on any further the three would need to regroup and come up with a strategy.

With that premise in mind, Gene's Katon clone would use the last of its energy to move closer to where Zakuro had been engaged with his opponent. Able to creep up on the guy from behind only because of the pounding that Zakuro took while involuntarily acting as a diversion. Once within range, Gene himself released the clone causing all of the stored Katon chakra within it to come bursting out in a widespread arc effectively burning the speedy nin enough to inflict mild pain and create a window where Zakuro could get away for a while - though it wouldn't be a long window. As for Fanho's opponent, Gene equipped himself with arguably his favorite ninja tool: The Shuriken and waited. The larger Genin smirked believing himself to have the upper hand and couldn't resist taunting Fanho who looked worse for wear. What? Done already? You should have just minded your own business punk! Oh what? Did you think that playing hero was going to end well for ya? This isn't some fairy tale! I got news for you buddy, the larger nin took several steps forward before leaning in nice and slow. You ain't got the skills for this.

She was done standing by and watching. Her tree shook from the impact as Fanho slammed into it and Aina's white eyes focused on his opponent. She despised this kind of thing, she hated the way bullies behaved, she always had. She had shown that more than once. She knew she was about to show it again, but this would be the first time as a Jounin... a Jounin who wasn't all that far from making Bannin herself. And with a snarl firmly plastered on her lips and her eyes alight with anger, she flipped forward out of the tree and landed between the two combatants. She came up to her feet and spun into a roundhouse kick, aimed for the attacking genin's shoulder, aiming to knock him to the side. He had no hope of evading it at Aina's speed and she spared nothing in the move.

She turned her eyes to Fanho only briefly before turning her attention on the others. "Konoha ninja are better than this!" she snarled, her eyes fixing on each in turn. "Beating up students?! This village was just attacked! Near decimated! And you turn on each other?! If you want a real match come at me then!"

She kept her eyes on the genin who had been doing the attacking and bullying of the students. "If I ever catch you bullying someone again, you'll earn more than bruises!" She waited to see if any were foolish enough to try and attack her, already channeling chakra to her hands discreetly.

The burly genin took a step forward with a wide grin on his face, the intent was harmful and dangerous as it seemed. The snarl of his breath reminiscent of a bull. The calamity of the ground as he stomped his feet ever so forward. Fanho was fearful for a first that maybe this opponent could easily wipe the floor with him. It was a fear which he swallowed and bit down, he fought to keep it from surfacing. The thought bobbed in the back of his mind, but he fought through it to keep his cool. He had to keep a level unbothered head to think straight which was a bountiful trait few genin had.

Fanho watched as the towering mass of the genin stepped forward taunting in such a demeaning manor, "What? Done already? You should have just minded your own business punk! Oh what? Did you think that playing hero was going to end well for ya? This isn't some fairy tale! I got news for you buddy, You ain't got the skills for this." Fanho furrowed his eyebrows in anger, and gritted his teeth. The genin had the gal to monologue him about being a ninja and his skills. The anger kept surfacing, but Fanho kept fighting it down. Again the calm head needing to prevail to win the battle.

As Fanho began flexing his muscles to make a move a figure darted from the tree above him preforming a roundhouse kick at the burly genin. The figure had enough strength to easily push the genin back 20 feet. Fanho's eyes adjusted quickly to recognize the figure was a Jounin draped in their typical flak jacket, but something was different. The figure eyes weren't pigmented or even had an iris. They were. . . Pure white, that was a notable trait of the Hyuuga clan. One of the most revered taijutsu, gentle-fist specialist clan.

He watched as she gracefully did with much skill and ease disarm the burly genin from the fight, with no need to even activate her Byakugan. Thank God, I didn't think my ribs could take much more slamming into trees, I might have became a paraplegic at this rate! Fanho's thoughts thanking the Jounin, once he had a moment to rest after the disparting of the bigger genin he began to feel the searing pain in his back, and could feel a large purplish bruise slowly encroaching over the area.

Fanho rubbed his back underneath his jacket as he watched the Jounin begin yelling at the other genin, "Konoha ninja are better than this! Beating up students?! This village was just attacked! Near decimated! And you turn on each other?! If you want a real match come at me then! If I ever catch you bullying someone again, you'll earn more than bruises!" The trio of bully genin gathered in the middle, the fast one darting to the side of the burly genin rubbing his shoulder as it felt almost shattered, and the intelligent genin slowly walking out from behind a tree where he had disappeared to using the substitution jutsu.

Fanho watched as the trio of bulliers looked at each other, the largest one mumbling words to his friends that just barely reached over the new wave of silence, "B...ch almost bro.. my shoul... The trio turned towards Fanho with the Jounin standing next to him the middle one presumably the ring leader, "Fine, we're out of here, but don't think you're heros, that stuffs only in stories anyways. . . Fanho watched as they ran off into the bushes away from the training field.

Fanho breathed a sigh of relief for the larger genin to be disparted from the area as he fell to his knees bent over clutching his kidney, spine, and stomach. Damn, he really had been through a beating, and it wasn't going to get better anytime soon. He bit his lip, and spit a bit more pooling blood onto the dirt floor as he stood up giving a slight groan. He turned towards the Hyuuga Jounin he'd soon find out to be Aina, "Thank you, I don't think I could've taken another tree toss like that. . ." A few seconds passed before Fanho exclaimed, "Sorry," he turned towards the other genin and Jounin before continuing, "Thank you guys, I couldn't take the three of em' on, I just wish we fared better in the beginning. My name is Awai, Fanho."

Zakuro arose from the ground, slowly gaining the strength to push himself further and further up until he finally reach the point where he could rest his knees on the ground. His breath flung from his mouth, raspy and fast. Every breath was forced into his lungs along with a dose of pain. His vision slowly became clearer as he stayed in this position. He could barely make out the things that were happening around him. He couldn't keep a single thought in his head long enough to make sense of it all.

As soon as Zakuro felt his lungs fill with air, a full breath, his vision became clear, he started to be able to make sense of what had happened, and he felt as though he would soon get up. His abdomen was on fire from the couple of hits he took. Every slight shift in his body caused pain to arc up his stomach. There was probably a broken rib somewhere and maybe he tore some of his abdomen muscle from the impact. Zakuro might be courageous and ready to fight, but he can be broken like a twig.

Once Zakuro felt his entire body settle down and his breathing turned to a slower and nicer pace, he decided to stand up. Slowly, he hoisted himself up with his arms, and let his legs straighten out. His body rose up to the sky, and started wobbling as he finally went too two legs. His balance was slightly pore, but it was manageable. It wasn't until he saw the familiar face of Aina that he knew they were completely safe.

He took a couple steps towards the jounin, and watched as the Awai kid introduced himself. Zakuro knew that he was yet again unable to protect something. At this rate, he would never be able to defend Konaha against an opposing force. He would be doomed. The same outcome as last time, maybe even worse. Broken, defeated, unconscious through the entire fight.

Zakuro looked at the academy kid in the distance and simply muttered under his breath "I'm sorry." and turned around to walk away. He was a failure. There was no need to bother these people with a disgrace such as he was. It's not like they would want to talk to him anyways. He was just the weak kid that got beat up. A loser. A nobody. Zakuro slowly walked a little bit forward, stumbling a bit as move, with his head pointed straight towards the ground. A disgrace to the land of fire.

A bead of sweat fell from Gene's brow as the building tension slowly but surely began to fade away. There were many feelings in the air right now the majority of which had been centered around guilt and disappointment. But for Gene, he was relieved that the Jounin had stepped in when she did - knowing that in the end, the boys who had stirred up all this mess got some of what they deserved. On the opposite hand, he realized just how much he needed to train in order to become stronger - stronger than people like them!

With the battlefield settled and all well for the moment, Gene descended from the tree he'd been hiding in and with a long exasperated sigh, rejoined the group. Bunch of pain in the necks, Said Gene voicing his irritation. Had he not noticed Zakuro walking slowly away he probably would have continued. You just gonna take off without telling the woman who saved our butts thank you? Gene did not know Zakuro personally and couldn't imagine what was going on in the guy's head. However, he knew well enough not to press too hard on the issue. As for Fanho, Gene had a few words for him but decided it would be best to wait until this whole mess was over.

Wait...Is that? It is! Hyuuga, Aina. The last time Gene had contact with her she was a Chunin, one rank ahead of himself and now she was a full fledged Jounin? Gene didn't know if that was inspiring or just plain scary especially considering the fact that if he recalled the two didn't get off to a good start. One thing was for certain though, if it hadn't been for her who knows what Gene, Zakuro and Fanho would have found themselves in. For that, despite all else, Gene was thankful. Thanks for your help - you really came through for us there. Gene spoke to the Jounin.

Aina wouldn't let Zakuro get far. Her hand snapped outward and grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back to stand beside her, looking down at him. There was no anger in her eyes, if anything, now that her Byakugan deactivated, there was an understanding. "This was no failure." she told him, pausing in her words to look at the three. "As you grow you three will find defeat isn't failure, the courage to fight and protect is your greatest asset, your greatest success, and often the reason for defeat. But if you didn't try, that would be a failure." she told them, reaching up and unzipping her vest.

As she did so it revealed her torso, her only shirt underneath best described as a black sports bra, leaving her abdomen completely exposed and showing off most of her scars. The thin line wire scar around her neck was easier to see, the scar to her abdomen, the most fresh of them all, was dark and ugly. "Every scar I have received is from trying to protect another, despite knowing the risk of failure or knowing I was too weak to technically win the fight. You three tried, and that's what matters." she put a hand on Zakuro's shoulder and looked down at him specifically. "You'll try again, you may not win yet again, but it's trying that matters right now, kid." she assured him.

She turned to look at Fanho and simply nodded. "I've met both Gene and Zakuro here before, but I don't think I've met you before. Hyuuga Aina, Jounin."

Fanho watched as the Jounin jerked the fast Genin back, and attempted to replace confidence in him. "As you grow you three will find defeat isn't failure, the courage to fight and protect is your greatest asset, your greatest success, and often the reason for defeat. But if you didn't try, that would be a failure." Fanho nodded, the pain resurfacing in his back reminding him of the beating.

Fanho looked at the three of them, and rubbed the back of his neck thinking about how the three genin they faced just seconds ago not only deadlocked them, but really tried their strength as well. It made Fanho come to a self-realization that he needed to train better, and become a better ninja, not just skill wise, but in his beliefs of justice.

Fanho returned his eyes to the Jounin's torso, and how scarred and battered it was. "Every scar I have received is from trying to protect another, despite knowing the risk of failure or knowing I was too weak to technically win the fight. You three tried, and that's what matters." Fanho nodded, and kept following along in the conversation. Fanho peered over his right shoulder barely able to see the bruising forming on his back.

He nodded and smiled at her when she introduced herself, "Nice to meet you Ms. Aina. I'm glad you came when you did."

Zakuro stood and waited, but he knew the words the jounin spoke were only encouragement. Something to keep them on the right path. Zakuro already knew that he had to stay on the path of defending the weak, and his village. Nothing was going to make him stray from that path, but he was too weak. There was no way he could protect anything being how weak he was. He needed to train more. That was the only solution. He would get stronger. Hopefully he would be able to become strong enough to avoid the avid scarring that encased the body of their savior. She who once shared the feeling of helplessness on that fateful day. In a way, Zakuro didn't dread that day. It opened his eyes to his future, and made him a better man.

Now that the crisis situation had been dealt with Gene's attention shifted to a more pressing matter - hunger. From the time that he woke up until now, his gut had continued to rumble, hollering at him for some food which he so coldly neglected. Aina's words stuck with him and while the opportunity presented itself Gene made an attempt at unification on a smaller scale. I don't know about you guys but I could go for some Teriyaki, a yawn escaped from his lips as he finished. Wanna tag along? He'd looked at Fanho and Zakuro before turning his attention back to the Jounin. You're welcome to come along too if you aren't busy.

Aina couldn't help a hint of a proud smile as the boys seemed to take in her words, despite the fact that they seemed to have no real response to them. "Do not forget The Words, hm?" she reminded them. "My favorite is "Our Spirit, though troubled, cannot be conquered." No matter what defeat we suffer, we keep trying. Someday you may yet make those other boys eat their pride and foolishness." Aina couldn't help but wonder how her former Sensei would react to hearing her speak in such a way, she hadn't always been like this, she had been foolish once too and easily defeated emotionally.

In the back of her mind it made her wonder if she could really do it... could she become leader of her Clan?

She looked up as one of the boys invited the others, and herself, to get a bite and she nodded. "I'd love to, but I fear I have other things to do. I have to prepare one of my own for his chunin exam. But if any of you need anything, please, just ask around for me. I'll be happy to help." she replied, giving a wave and a bow before turning to go on her way.

Fanho watched as Aina recited The Words of Fire, it was something they all had recited upon graduating the academy, but Fanho could understand it meant something deeper. And that words couldn't just simply describe the nationalistic, uplifting, and empowering feeling that coursed through every member of Konoha. It meant something to everyone, something unique that made Konoha a place to be free, and have power over your own destiny, but to be humble in all that you do, and at the same time it made Konoha a kinding, caring place where everyone would look after each other and care. Something so great had been perfected in Konoha, and it was what held them together after the invasion.

Fanho then cocked his head towards Gene, "I don't know about you guys but I could go for some Teriyaki. Wanna tag along? You're welcome to come along too if you aren't busy." Fanho's stomach would let out an audible growl only to his ears, but it was a warning sign enough that he was hungry as well. The fight had taken more than just a toll on his body or a lesson, but his hunger as well. Burning off calories fighting ill prided genin bullying a kid, really had opened renting space in his stomach requesting food as the tenant.

He watched as Aina declined talking about how she had to prepare her student for the Chuunin exam. Fanho began to ponder himself, I'm about to become a Chuunin soon, huh, well its weird, it didn't just hit me until now I'm really gonna be a Chuunin. Fanho shook himself from his one second trance of thought, and turned to the white haired genin. "If my stomach is telling me anything, its that I could also go for some Teriyaki," Fanho then turned his head to Zakuro, "You should come with us, you could tell us about some of your techniques, they looked pretty cool."

Zakuro didn't like admitting it, but he was hungry as well. There was no denying it. His stomach was wriving, and a nice hot meal couldn't have sounded better. His head shook in agreement as his arm clutched his stomach in pain. He was sore and would love to go home and rest, but the others might see that as weakness, and Zakuro so desperately wanted to be seen as strong. With a proud voice that only hinted at the pain and exhaustion Zakuro was feeling, he spoke to the group. "I'd love to come along with you guys. Also, it might come as a disappointment but my jutsu are nothing special. They're just something I picked up from some dusty scrolls."

Well those dusty scrolls definitely came in handy today, Gene chimed in. Anyway, lets hurry and get to the Konoholic I hear they are having a special sale today on Barbecue ribs and Teriyaki. Gene had already put the earlier fight behind them and was now looking toward a more pressing goal - satisfying his own hunger!

Even the nonchalant cloud watcher could not shirk off these stomach pains and as far as he could tell, everyone was in agreement on what they wanted to do - even if they were bruised up a little. So Gene began his stride at a nice, calming, leisurely pace. The Konoholic was a ways away from where they were but if they continued walking at this pace then chances were they would make it before closing time. More importantly, Gene wanted to know more about his two new friends. So you're a member of the Awai clan? The same as Mino right? The question had been directed towards Fanho but Gene didn't turn his entire head to look at the guy. Instead, his eyeballs shifted toward Fanho.

Fanho nodded acknowledging Gene and Zakuro. He was glad it was something other than training, he could finally relax and treat himself a bit. Fanho felt a bit guilty taking such a personal pleasure when could help others, but it was a nice change in tone to the young genin. The ability to be a kid was a relief from his ninja duties. So he decided to take advantage of the situation and enjoy himself.

He began following beside Gene and Zakuro, and slid his hands into his pockets. He then turned his thoughts to Konoholic, he remembered being treated there when he was younger by his brothers and sisters after they came home from missions. If there was one thing he remembered, it was that he loved their ribs. They were so soft and tender, he could possibly eat them for the rest of his life. Fanho snapped out of his own thoughts to the question posed of him by Gene, "So you're a member of the Awai clan? The same as Mino right?" Fanho nodded, and slid his hands out of his pockets forming hand seals as he talked. "Yep, Katon," he said finished the hand seals and snapping his fingers together forming a small flame in-between the two before snapping again to extinguish it, "raiton," he held his hands apart lightening stretching across from them the soft grey lightening dancing from one palm of the hand to the other, "and last but not least, Hiton." He said finishing another set of hand seals a ball of light dancing slightly above the palm of his hand. "It has it perks, but Mino? I've heard his name around my house before, my brothers and sister knew him better than me, but he seemed really nice and talented." Fanho slid his hands back into his pockets and turned his attention towards the rest of the group awaiting the next question he assumed that might have followed.

Zakuro walked along, but remained quiet. The current conversation was about the Awai clan and one of it's members. Zakuro had nothing to say for he didn't know this Mino person, nor did he know anything about the Awai. Zakuro's hand still clutched to his side. He would have to check it out after this meal was over. He could already hear the lecture from his parents in his head. "Even though you're a shinobi now doesn't mean that you can get into fights whenever you want. You need to try to keep yourself from harm." Then they were to give him some sort of chore and send him to bed. They didn't know the life of a shinobi, and because of that they never understood why Zakuro did the things he did. Although Zakuro and his parents don't understand each other, he still loves them greatly.

He had only been to the konaholic once. It was a birthday party, but he couldn't remember who's. Regardless, Zakuro had very little experience with the place.

I see, Gene replied. His curiosity had been sated for the moment and he feared that any further questioning would have just tarnished the little confidence he had left. Knowing that there were seriously Genin around who could tap into more than just one chakra nature while he could only make use of one was well - frustrating. It also served as a prime motivator for Gene to further develop his own abilities, however troublesome that may have been.

One thing is for sure, said Gene before pausing momentarily. If I ever run into those jerks again I'm going to end 'em through a loop. A low groan slipped from his lips before a sigh had taken its place. In the mean time I guess I'll just have to get stronger - I mean, compared to the two of you I'm already behind as is. Strangely enough Gene didn't seem to be angered by the realization. If anything, he was determined to surpass the two to his left and right and one day fight along side or against them as equal ninja. 'Course, that was all assuming he were in the mood for it. Gene imagined that an attempt at taking these two on would be more than just a little troublesome.

It was funny how things worked out in the Leaf. Up until today, Gene didn't think that the other Genin were well - sociable. No, better put, he hadn't known anyone besides his own teammates and Ko - an Aburame with a peculiar interest in Gene's abilities, to share his resolve of wanting to keep the village clean of idiots like those bullies back at the Academy. For the first time since graduating the Academy to become a Genin Gene actually felt as if he had comrades that he could count on unconditionally. Oh, that's right. Aina said that she'd met you before Zakuro, was she your mentor at some point? I wanna know the details.

Fanho came the realization he had somewhat showed off a bit. Taken a bit aback from his own pride he looked over at Gene as he finished his statement. "In the mean time I guess I'll just have to get stronger - I mean, compared to the two of you I'm already behind as is." Fanho frowned at this a bit, and came back with a reply he hoped would lift his feelings a bit, "Well everyone has something their good at, you seem like the intelligent type. I noticed you were trying to get a better line of sight on the whole shabang going on." Fanho gave him a smile that he hoped would comfort him.

Fanho looked at his new found friends. It had been a while since he had talked with other genin. The last time were his partners under Hayashi-sensei, but yet they disappeared strangely perhaps into their own training. None-the-less it was nice to conversate with kids his age. Typically he didn't get much down time or time to actually enjoy his day. It was either training, missions, or helping people out. Some time treating himself wouldn't hurt anyone, perhaps the cool down might help him unwind. Fanho turned his attention back to the conversation listening attentively.

Fanho looked at the sky keeping a patient ear out for the conversation as he watched the sun dance in the sky with the cool, fluffy, white clouds looking like wisps of cotton candy slowly motion in the air wherever the wind blew. It was a beautiful sun shiny day, with the wind blowing light enough to keep you chilled at the perfect temperature. The trees were leaf green with the brown bark complementing it. It seemed like today would be quaint excluding earlier.

Zakuro walk along with his hands in his pockets, silently listening to the group beside him. It didn't matter where he was, Zakuro always felt left out. It seemed like other people's voices just drowned him out until he wasn't a part of the conversation anymore. He knew that that was bound to happen here eventually.

Though, to Zakuro's surprise, he was asked a question. It at least seemed like his fellow Genin wanted to include him in their conversation. The thought gave Zakuro a slight smirk. Well, thought Zakuro, I guess it's story time.

Zakuro gave cleared his throat and started talking to his new acquaintance. "She never trained me. Actually, the first time I saw her, she was being carried by one of the missing ninja that attacked the village." After saying those words, Zakuro thought that maybe he should've not mentioned it. She was probably embarrassed by the whole event, but Zakuro continued his story. "Well, the missing ninja hit me into a building and rendered me unconscious shortly after seeing her. I only got a glimpse, but her face stuck in my mind." After telling this, Zakuro stretched out his arms, cracked his knuckles, and gave a quiet yawn. He then continued his story. "Those ninja were no joke, because I woke up the next day with four broken bones. It took me a couple weeks to heal, but in no time, I was back on my feet again. It felt good to get out of that hospital, until I saw Konoha in ruins. I felt obliged to help in the reconstruction, so I went to the nearest building site. As luck would have it, Aina was there, helping build. We both remembered each others face, and we started talking. Afterwards she took me to dinner, and that's how I met her."

"I see," said Gene while strategically slipping his right hand into the tan pouch clinging to his behind, pulling out Shinobi tactics, & then flipping quickly to the page that he'd last left off on. "Back then we were all too naive - they slipped right under our noses." Gene remarked. Even though it had been a great deal of time since the invasion, old wounds still had not quite mended completely. But rather than lament, Gene thought instead of how to prevent a future attack on their homeland. In his current state there had been little that could be done but Gene vowed to grow stronger and one day, confront the culprits behind such heinous crimes.

"To think someone as strong as her could be beaten so easily...It's almost nerve wrecking." Gene flipped to the next page and started on reading. They were strong willed but - it would take a lot more than just a strong will to defeat opponents like Yaku and Enma who made it painstakingly obvious that they prided themselves on crushing those with strong wills. Just thinking about it gave Gene the creeps but more than that, it gave him a reason to never give up. It would take time but some day in the future he would be strong enough to stand on par with them, to defeat them. Until that day no matter what, he could never give up. Seeing Fanho and Zakuro in action today served only to strengthen his resolve.

Fanho rubbed the back of his neck as Gene began flipping through his book. Gene was certainly intelligent, extremely book smart, and probably one of the best tacticians in the whole village beating out some of the Nara clan members. Fanho rested his hands behind his head locking his fingers tight behind his head as his elbows extended outwards. He trotted along with the rest of the Genin as they came up to a steak house where the scent of Teriyaki lingered in the air.

"Man I can smell that Teriyaki in the air." The scent assaulted Fanho's senses as they came up to the restaurant. He walked towards the restaurant. Fanho's spirits were instantly lifted by the smell of food, he hoped it would also help bring his new found friend's will and spirits up as well. The tails earlier of the Jounin being taken hostage so easily sent shivers down Fanho's mind. He attempted to repress it, but only he knew he was thinking the same thing like the others. It was nerve racking and scary that ninja who were enemies could be that strong. Fanho shook the idea from his mind, and began focusing on the lingering smell of Teriyaki, and the empty hole which resided in his stomach. "Shall we find a table men?" Fanho said as he peered into the steakhouse then turning back to his friends.

The light aroma of Konoha's delicacies filled the air. Zakuro's nostrils lit up with a deep passion. The smell of freshly cooked meat lifted his spirits higher then any motivational speech could've. As though on cue, when the smell finally reached Zakuro his stomach gave a low growl. The recent battle emptied Zakuro's stomach. He was ready to chow down.

His head gave a slight turn in the direction of his genin counterparts. He gave a short nod before proclaiming, "Hell yeah, I'm ready to eat." With his fingers tightly crossed, Zakuro hoped that they would be seated quickly because his stomach wouldn't be able to stand being empty much longer with the scent of the food in the air.

"Lets hurry and get inside." Said Gene rather enthusiastically. As nonchalant and cool as he was, even he couldn't deny the mouth watering sensations caused by inhaling a combination of zesty aromas from the restaurant ahead. After a evening filled with challenges he looked forward to some down time - particularly because of the new found friendships that had been built over the course of the day. Zakuro was an interesting guy and Fanho seemed pretty down to earth; between the two of them Gene found his place right at the center of their two personalities.

As the trio drew closer Gene was the first to push through the brown cloth made door and make a space for his friends to enter behind him by holding the sheets open. At the same time, he'd been greeted by one of many chefs working that afternoon. "Welcome!" Said the chef with a smile, "Come right on up and have a seat! Just tell me what you want me to make and I'll whip it up for ya'!" Gene nodded and smiled, "Will do! Zakuro, Fanho, after you." Said Gene while motioning forward for them to pick a spot. The place had been so packed that Gene didn't know where to even begin looking for a place to sit.

Fanho watched as he followed the trio behind Zakuro as Gene led them into the restaurant. He listened to the chefs welcoming greeting as he waved them to the restaurant, which was somewhat moderately packed. There were a few families here and there, and some shinobi who fount down time to enjoy a meal. Fanho scanned the restaurant, and fount a booth close to one of the windows on the left hand side.

Fanho pointed, "Why thank you kind sir." Fanho said with a slight chuckle and smile as he walked over towards the spot leading them to the booth. The entire restaurant was well lit with authentic red paper lanterns with the etchings of Konoha on them. There was a bar in which some of the older Jounin shinobi, and older civilians sat having a drink or two. The whole restaurant had character, one that gave off the essence of a place to be. He sat down on the right hand side of the booth in the inner seat, and looked at the rest of his new found friends, "So we're all in accordance with Teriyaki, or maybe there's something else we want?"
