[Training Thread] White Eyed & Bushy Tailed

To say that the day was going to be a long one would be a serious understatement. The young Hyuuga stepped out of her home with a heavy sigh. Earlier that day she had met her team and while it may have gone well by some standards, by Hanako’s it had gone terribly. She could already tell her two teammates were not going to be known for thinking with the heads on their shoulders. Jin obviously was so pervy already that he couldn’t focus on tasks at hand and often would stare at his female teammates. Niku was so boy crazy that honestly it creeped Hanako out to a degree. Coming from a clan where a marriage partner was someone often chosen for you, she just couldn’t understand why the other girl was so obsessed with boys… and especially their sensei. Close to their age or not, wouldn’t he be kinda off limits? But Hanako herself had to shake off those thoughts for fear she might become too focused on her teammates actions and not enough on her own. She had training to do after all.

The moment she stepped off of the porch and Hanako’s shoe touched the ground, she took off at a high rate of speed in a single focused direction. Dirt and dust flew as she ran, leaving a cloud of it in front of her home as she headed for the clan exit. Focusing on her desire to increase her own speed, the girl made sure not to tunnel vision herself on her legs and their motion. As both a shinobi and child to two of arguably the strongest ninja in the village, she knew that speed relied on more than just lower body motion but also upper body. The motion of her arms played just as much in her running as much as the motion of her legs. As such her arms moved back and forth at her sides similar to her legs, working hard to get her up to full speed. She could barely hear the guard at the entrance to her clan compound yelling at her as she took off past him. Honestly, she didn’t care what he had to say. Not all training was best done in the training grounds, some required greater challenges and that was where Hanako was now.

As she turned out of the clan compound, Hanako made a beeline towards the marketplace. Of course she knew the people there weren’t going to take too kindly to her running through, but that was also kind of the idea. With a mischievous grin crossing her lips the girl spotted the first large group of afternoon shoppers and easily slid between a pair of them. She could hear the yells and curses following her but that only made her grin all the bigger. She weaved between people, pushing herself to move faster and faster as she went along. It was difficult at times, the girl was forced to duck under a basket that a vendor was handing to a customer. She skidded along, still grinning as she heard the startled gasp of the customer. She grabbed the edge of the booth to pull herself up a bit better so she could keep running without falling. When she noticed an older shinobi had taken notice and began to yell, she ducked behind a vendor and leaped up onto a barrel before shifting her run to the top of the vendor booths themselves. With a laugh she just kept going, leaping from one canopy to the next.

Even as she slid and fell right off of one the girl tried to keep moving. She hit the ground and rolled up to her feet and kept running, slipping out of the grasp of a pair of hands that tried to slow her down and stop her. She was sure if her father were in the market she’d know it by now, he’d certainly stop her and yell at her. But so far there was no sign of the man and so the girl began her run of trouble through the market. Her breathing was getting heavier and she could feel a burn in her lungs. It was already taking its toll but Hanako was determined to push herself, jumping wildly over a man she hadn’t seen immediately. He was knelt down and inspecting something or other and so as the crowd parted before her Hanako saw him at the last minute. Her legs practically flailed as she made the jump, and for a moment she was worried she might kick him after all. When she landed her arms flew out to her sides and flailed as she fought for balance, for a moment her face was parallel to the ground and she was certain she was going down. Yet a moment later she was right once more and pushed herself further on. Her feet made loud snaps against the pavement as she got through the vendor market and started into the more brick and mortar style buildings. Here the crowds weren’t quite as bad but it was the afternoon so even shinobi were out and about at their leisure. She wasn’t as much trouble to this group of consumers, some able to dodge her just as well as she could dodge them, at least until she got to a café. The tables were outside and on the walkway so she had to bob and weave her way through them and through the chairs, to the obvious upset of the customers.

As she heard the yelling falling behind her the girl knew she would need to make somewhere else before long, or she was going to wind up pinned by some pissed off jounin and getting an earful from her parents. She ducked down into an alley, barely avoiding a pair of hands, her feet guiding her way up a stack of barrels and crates and making the last leap up to the rooftop of the building. From there the girl kept on running, still pushing herself.
