[Graded]Mamorinuku! The Next Generation!

Post by Rain21199 » Thu May 23, 2019 10:20 pm

The world was grey. The bright sun was blanketed by an overcast, leaving only a bright patch in the clouds to allude to its location. The air was damp. A prelude to the storm to come. The normally warm summer air had a slight bite to it this morning sending chills down Zakuro's spine. If that wasn't enough, the wind cut lashed against his uncovered face, turning his cheeks a bright red. For whatever reason, this week decided to suck. The rumor was that this was only the beginning, and the rest of the week was going to be as bad, if not worse. At least the rainfall had yet to start.

Today's mission was to recruit two members into Mamorinuku. He barely read the report. Since his return, it seemed that shinobi work was more documents than actual work. It wasn't what Zakuro was used to, but everyone says that he'll get used to it. This however, was about to be the end of his dry spell. Of course, they picked the worst possible time to do it. Just the other day he was sitting in his cramped office, reading a report on expenditures on maintenance for one of Mamorinuku's many towers around the leaf while it was sunny and beautiful. At this point, Zakuro would take the victories he could get, regardless of how small.

The information he remembered about the report was that one was a Genin, looking to join the organization and the other was an overqualified Chuunin interested in two of the branches. He sent letters to both of them, informing them that they were to meet here in front of this abandoned warehouse just before sunrise. Zakuro was an early riser, and he'd be damned if he started his work day any later.

Mamorinuku! The Next Generation!

Naoyukino had woke up bright and early this dreary looking day for he had received a letter stating he had to meet someone from the organisation known as Mamorinuku whom had gained interests in his skills, which seemed quite surprising to him for he still did not fully accept how skilful he truly had become but then again his family had been pushing for it with his grandparents in particular saying he would be as grand as Inoryuunosuke if he did join up.

Whatever the case word had spread and the group had finally paid attention and called out the Yamanaka for some kind of meeting and so he swiftly whizzed around the house as he went about his usual morning routine and had some breakfast, though sure to not wake up those that remained sleeping before saying goodbyes to those that where awake with him and dashing out of the compound and onto the grim streets of Konohagakure.

It was a shame that the weather wasn't quite so good on this day especially so early in the morning but nonetheless the blond, orange clothed chuunin still managed to get himself lost in his thoughts as his walking speed slowed down to the pace of an unaware daydreamer.
Ideas on how this Mamorinuku even worked filled the teen's mind as he imagined himself erecting barriers and detecting all sorts of dangers, quite a big ask really but it did fit his dreams of becoming a grand and powerful Yamanaka supporting his village to his utmost.

After awhile Nao suddenly found himself in front of the strange, abandoned warehouse as instructed and had to stop in slight shock over such a thing for a moment until he shook it off and looked around curious why they would even meet in such a place when he noticed another figure stood before it.
The figure was tall, perhaps more than himself, and had a very sturdy look to it and just generally stood out but also something made him think he somehow knew this man for some reason or another which felt truer the closer he got but his mind was blanking.
"Wait, what was his name? Did it say?" he questioned himself internally as he then started to realise he couldn't think on if he knew the guy's name yet, whether it was said on the letter or why he thought he knew something about him.
"Umm, hey!" he then called out somewhat nervously "I am here for a meeting? Yamanaka, Naoyukino." he thought to ask and introduce himself to make sure this was the right place, still uncertain about the guy before him.

As he spoke a greyish parrot flew down from the sky having been following its master as usual and landed on Nao's he rather casually, though he had forgotten about her in his daydreaming so looked a little surprised as she landed but instantly recovered and pointed up to her.
"Oh and Sayuri I suppose" he added somewhat embarrassed over her seemingly sudden arrival, at least sudden for someone lost in thoughts anyway.
"Squawk! Hello, hello!" the bird called in her usual charming way.

Mamorinuku! The Next Generation!

The genin woke up right on time, I'm sure that tardiness isn't something that would be appreciated. She had no trouble getting ready, as she had the whole house to herself. Niku's mother had spent the night with one of her 'gentleman' suitors, so Niku was free to go about her business without worry of bothering anyone. She sang to herself as she made breakfast, danced a bit as she gathered her belongings and got dressed. No amount of noise would make a difference and getting ready in this manner served as a way to get her pumped up. This was an official meeting afterall, and she wanted to be awake and ready for anything.

The kunoichi headed out the door, excited to be getting a meeting with one of the most famous organizations within Konoha. Niku was excited to join the prestigious group, and not just because she was sure this would give her more opportunities to see the love of her life, Fanho. She was excited because she knew the group was designed to help train shinobi, like herself. While she still appreciated the things her grandfather could teach her, she also needed more guidance on the shinobi side of her training. Mamorinuku was known for helping young shinobi learn and grow into competent shinobi. Despite that, they were also known to be focused on sensing and Niku worried that her own, very basic level, sensing would be far outmatched by other genin that had been focusing on the skill since graduation.

She pushed the doubt from her mind as she headed towards the designated meeting spot. She arrived on time, as planned, and noticed two guys. They were, even from Niku's current distance, noticeably taller than she was, but that hadn't bothered Niku before; she'd met plenty of tall people that were weak, so it wasn't a true indication of capability. As she approached, she recognized Nao, a Yamanaka, as someone that she'd done a mission with before. She already knew that his sensing capabilities were undoubtedly far superior to her own, but she was already here at this point. She looked to the other man, having trouble placing his face with a name. She had grown pretty accustomed with a fair number of the shinobi, and was curious who this fellow was.

"Inken Nikuya, reporting for duty," she announced as she got close enough. She gave Nao a knowing wave, before looking between the two to see who was even in charge of this get together.

Zakuro gave what would've been a warm welcoming smile, but simply looked awkward as his jaw uncontrollably shook in a vain attempt to keep his body warm. His thick leather jacket kept out the wind good enough but it was still hard and unforgiving against his face and legs. However Zakuro was the leader of this get together, so it was his job to appear the most put together and unaffected by the current weather. Once they got started and warmed up, he had little doubt the wind would start to feel nice instead of a nuisance.

Zakuro didn't feel like shaving this morning. Or the morning before. Or the morning before that, so his facial hair was starting to grow longer than normal. Alongside that came the itch. He reached up and scratched at the underside of his chin before continuing. "It has come to our attention that the both of you are not only interested in joining Mamorinuku, but also have shown some potential in being useful to our cause. I was tasked out with testing the both of you and seeing how accurate that assessment is. It's completely up to me whether you join or simply go back to doing what you were before you received your letters, so you really have to try your best. I..." Giving his name out was never a problem before, but now there's a shame that comes with it. His trial was very public. Countless shinobi saw him get convicted of desertion and assault and watched as he was dragged away to jail. He was given a significant amount of time off of his sentence due to the pleas of the person he hurt, but that didn't change the dirty looks he got when people learned who he was. "My name is Zakuro Gerudo. Today the two of you will be sparring against me." Zakuro gave a toothy grin as he said it. There was nothing he could do about their opinions of him, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't enjoy the upcoming fight.

"You might be wondering why I brought you here. It's simple. Everyone does this kind of thing in an open field somewhere on the outskirts of the village." Zakuro pointed his thumb to the building behind him. "I feel like throwing a structure into the fray would make things much more realistic."

Zakuro began to stretch out his arms. "How this is going to work is the two of you will attack me however you think is best. Work together, or be individuals, it's up to you. When I've had enough of a beating, I'll let you know and that'll be that. Any questions before we kick this off?"

Shortly after Naoyukino arrived a young girl also appeared for the same meeting, whom Nao had met before on a previous mission which certainly put things at ease though he was curious to see her attempting to join the Mamorinuku as a genin but then again the organisation could provide quite the valuable lot of experience and set her up for life.

Once they where both there the unshaven man began to talk and explain things, though he seemed hesitant in explain who he was exactly and seemed to freeze up for a moment before finally revealing that he was in fact the Zakuro Gerudo which actually started to make sense to the young Yamanaka as he finally realised why he felt like he somehow knew the man, in turn filling him with a bit of caution.
"Ah, I see, Zakuro Gerudo..." he softly replied, instantly resonating with the name as he recalled what he had heard about him as a slight frown came across his face.

Though as the gruff inspector continued to explain further Nao placed his right hand to his chin a moment as he thought things through, whereupon doing so figured such a devilish seeming man would've surely already served his time and was clearly free enough to be a leading member of Manorinuku and therefore it would be unfair to thrust unjust prejudice upon him.

With his mind made up and settled the Yamanka shook away the damning thoughts and turned to face his assessor which a smile with the ready will to fight, though he did wish to make one thing clear before the spar began.
"To be clear, this spar also includes Sayuri correct? She is a train combat companion after all and always fights alongside me at my command" he questioned and explained, pointing once again at the grey parrot atop his head.

Niku listened intently as the yet-to-be-named shinobi explained that he was here to determine whether Nao and Niku could enter Mamorinuku. The idea of a single person making such a decision weighed on Niku momentarily before she decided that this just meant she had to give everything she had right now. Her fingers, seemingly without Niku realizing it, began limbering up, moving individually of each other forward and backward. She then heard the man say his name and it only took a moment for her to make the connection.

While she hadn't been a shinobi when Zakuro had gone missing, she'd been nearing graduation in the Academy. At the time, Niku found it hard to believe someone would want to leave the Will of Fire, but without any real knowledge of the situation, she just thought he was a bad guy, someone who preferred looking out for themselves rather than the village and comrades. It hadn't been too hard to believe, they were shinobi afterall, so they were trained to see people in a way that allowed them to be easily removed from the land of living, this was similar in Niku's mind. However, after having been on Team 7 with Fanho, Jin and Hanako and the team disbanding, Niku had trained with Tenzin Sensei; all of these shinobi taught Niku that good shinobi came in all types and with varying sensibilities. Not only had she learned about true shinobi, she'd grown into a fine one as well, proof by her recommendation for the chuunin exam. That was when Zakuro came back.

Being at the trial, seeing the man and listening to his words and the words of those he'd hurt on his way to becoming a missing ninja had changed how Niku saw missing ninja in general, but Zakuro specifically. The young kunoichi still had trouble seeing why someone would want to leave, but she could grasp that leaving wasn't inherently evil, which seemed like a big step in her own mind. That meant, to her, that Zakuro wasn't inherently evil. At least, he hadn't seemed evil at his trial and he'd returned willingly without a fight, so that went along way in Niku's mind. That wasn't to say she couldn't deduce his evil nature later, if he had one.

She listened to the rest of his spiel about sparring and with a real obstruction. She didn't really know much about Nao's capabilities, which made on-the-fly tactics a bit hard, not to mention those weren't exactly Niku's forte anyways. Niku then looked toward Nao as he asked his question about Sayuri. Niku felt like the answer was clear, so she went ahead and closed her eyes, allowing her mind to focus on her body. While she could still hear Zakuro's answer, she was now one step closer to being ready for what she was sure would be a tough challenge. As soon as Zakuro said to begin, Niku could release her focus, stepping into one of her staple stances.

While in this stance, the users sensory input is increased, allowing them to receive more information quickly. This causes a +2 in Taijutsu, and a +4 in speed, but a -3 in Ninjutsu and -3 in Control. This stance will remain in effect until deactivated by [Stop]. Practitioners of this technique will find themselves fidgetting and constantly moving, which can make it difficult for them to use this style while on stealth missions.

Zakuro glanced at the bird and back at Naoyukino. With a warm smile and some cheer in his voice Zakuro answered, "Of course! The more the merrier." The bird shouldn't be to much of a threat in the upcoming fight. Its owner on the other hand... He was going to be Zakuro's number one target. Nikuya carried a sword. She was definitely a close combat fighter. That was a fight Zakuro could win with ease. From the sounds of it though, the other one was going to be a bit more complicated.

"If that's all for the questions, you two can begin at anytime. I won't budge a muscle until the two of you make the first move." The joyous tone of Zakuro's voice shifted. He got very serious all of a sudden. His voice lost it's emotion. "I'm not going easy on you."

Zakuro assumed that Niku would go for a frontal attack while Nao would back away from the fight and create some distance. He waited for the first one to make their move. Until then he stood perfectly still.

Zakuro replied to Nao's question with an answer he fully expected in reality but he did not want to assume things but upon confirming it so he did a small hand gesture and Sayuri immediately flew into the air, then upon hearing the man's proposal that he would not be moving until they did the Yamanaka did a quick set of handseals and glanced over at his young partner as a portion of his consciousness tried to insert itself within her.
"Nikuya? Can you hear me?" his thoughts called out to her "We can talk mentally like this, if only for a moment, if you so desire" he then explained.

The Yamanaka then glanced around to properly examine the area before focusing on the man before them and quickly coming up with a few ideas
"I presume you are intent on trying to get in close and take him out that way, in such a case I can help control and corral him to get him in range" he then explained further in her mind "Alternately your attacks will also help push him in a corner so that I can easily take control, plus Sayuri will at least be able to distract him to aid in this" as he spoke internally with her he began to shift and prepared for the attack as he placed a kind of whistle into his mouth and prepared for any set of handseals.

Once the blond began to move and take in anything Niku would say in return he blew a small tune, though only Sayuri would hear it as she happily swooped down and began to circle and strike towards the back of Zakuro's head in attempt to get his attention but if he was inclined to ignore her she was not against repeating attacking.

Niku's focus didn't waver, until Zakuro said "you two can begin". Her eyes opened, her brain momentarily flooded with an onslaught of sensory information. It was nice to have a moment before Zakuro moved. Assuming he keeps his word she mused to herself as her brain acclimated to the Opened Senses. Normally she wouldn't question a fellow Konoha shinobi's word, but it seemed his past was having an impact on her impression of him after all. She then heard the scraping of skin on skin just to her right, turning slightly towards Nao. It only took a moment for her to see that he was doing handseals, meaning this whole thing had started. She turned back towards Zakuro, sure that her superior would take the opportunity to attack, as Nao's consciousness inserted itself into her body. Niku then heard Nao's voice but barely paid it any mind as she stepped in front of him and let both of her hands rest on the hilts of her swords.

She had no idea what kind of shinobi Zakuro was or how he'd come at them.

Post by Rain21199 » Mon Jul 22, 2019 11:33 am

It had begun.

The second Zakuro saw the Yamanaka boy shift his hands towards each other, Zakuro moved. He saw a bird approaching him. Not wanting to kill the thing, he swiftly picked a rock off the ground and chucked it as hard as he could at one of the bird's wings. His eyes then shifted focused onto Nikuya, but she wasn't his target. Of course her swords might be a nuscance but why would he allow Naoyukino the chance to fight from afar while Nikuya engaged up close. No doubt that would be the strategy they'd go for. It made the most sense. It allowed the two of the them to fight Zakuro simultaneously and it played off of both of their strengths. That was exactly why Zakuro was about to tear that plan apart.

The Chuunin sprinted towards the short kunoichi. His heavy boots smashed into the soft dirt with every step, leaving deep textured footprints. Zakuro could feel his heart beat begin to rise, and the wind whistled in his ear as he picked up speed. It was only moments before he reached her. He had noticed that she was using skitter step. It was a technique based off of the user's primal reactions, which means when he got closer, she was likely to lash out at him with a strike. Aina had known the same skill.

Forcing the energy inside of himself to writhe and stream out of his body, a shield made of black energy quickly formed on Zakuro's left arm. He would keep the shield between himself and his opponent's swords while he did a dive over her, ensuring that there was never a moment where his shield was not protecting him until he landed. Zakuro landed with a roll, and without slowing down, the blond man chucked his shield at the Yamanaka like a frisbee, aiming for it to hit him in the head. After the shield left his hands, he continued sprinting forward, until he reached a close enough distance that he could drop kick the boy in the chest.

Naoyukino should've known Zakuro's words were more diabolic than he thought as the man immediately took action upon seeing the Yamanaka's handseals, though a connection was still made with Nikuya and Sayuri was able to at least make her little distraction. That being said the distraction was indeed quite small as the parrot was swiftly knocked out of the sky by the zealous man, which hurt to see as the blond lad had not yet learned the ijutsu he was contemplating and so he couldn't even help her after the test.

Nonetheless even a minor distraction was worth it as Nao began to move back and analyse the once defector as he formed this strange energy shield and moved in a defensive manner towards the girl, though it did not appear that it was for an attack but to simply leap over her which the boy started to note as he called out to her mentally though he wasn't sure what she would take in now she was in her open senses stance.
"I think he's aiming to attack me first" he spoke using the connection from before as he instantly went into his next set of handseals.

Naoyukino just about managed to duck under the incoming shield toss as he continued to back off and do his seals, then he swiftly powered out a 10m x 10m x 10m barrier around both his new partner and the attacker, aiming to at least halt his current assault if not completely stop him in his tracks. This would hopefully give enough room for Nikuya to retaliate with her own offensive whilst the Yamanaka continued to manoeuvre around and find the perfect opening to possibly take control, or perhaps attack in his own way.

Niku was worried when Zakuro started running towards her and Nao. She watched him as he sped up, realizing that he wasn't 'too fast', definitely faster than her, but not nearly as fast as her grandfather. She could at least see him and understand what he was doing. With that realization, she wanted to rush forward, meet him in combat, but she didn't want to leave Nao all alone. If she lost against Zakuro too early, Nao would be forced to go against the man on his own and she wasn't sure that was necessarily a good idea. Instead, she settled her breathing and dug her feet in, observing Zakuro's running pace and rhythm.

That was when something bizarre emerged from his arm, a flaming shield. Her fingers reflexively loosened as she prepared to draw her blade at the shield in front of her. Despite feeling that her own strike would be insufficient against this odd defense, she still wanted to try to find out what would happen. However, as Niku was about to unsheath her blade, Zakuro leaped, easily going over Niku's head. As the large man went up, Niku turned, keeping him in her sight as she tried to come up with something to do.

"I think he's aiming to attack me first"

"Seems like it," the kunoichi thought to her partner, as she used her right leg to push off the ground in an attempt to follow her attacker. She observed him roll and continue on, her only saving grace being that she had reacted almost immediately to the man's jump. If she'd been any slower, she'd have no chance at being in time. Maybe I can catch him from behind while he focuses on Nao. She didn't have much time, but she was glad to see Nao evade the shield. She was a bit too far away to actually make contact, but she hoped her strike might cause Zakuro some concern; her right hand unsheathed the wakizashi from her left hip just moments after Nao's shield had been erected around her and Zakuro. The tip was targeted towards Zakuro's lower back, but was likely to be a couple inches short due to their difference in speed. Whether it caught flesh, clothing or air, Niku's heavily trained muscle memory would resheath the blade after her attack.

Zakuro watched as a barrier formed around him. It probably wouldn't have taken much to destroy it, but Zakuro's goal was to take down the distance fighter so they wouldn't have a chance to both attack him at the same time. Having a barrier in the way had the exact same effect. What the Yamanaka boy probably thought was a good idea actually worked in Zakuro's favor.

The blond giant closed his eyes but continued moving forward. Suddenly the dull sounds of feet hitting the ground behind him began to sound like an echoing beat of a drum. The sound of a metal sword scraping against wood etched itself into his brain. Zakuro listened to the soft whisper of steel cutting through the air and positioning itself for an attack. In the last feet before Zakuro reached the barrier, he let himself slow down so the young girl behind him could begin to catch up, before digging his feet into the ground. As he did it, Zakuro turned his body sideways and moved his right foot back, allowing the blade to pass in front of him, stabbing nothing but air. No doubt Niku would attempt to stop herself, but Zakuro doubted with how petite she looked, she had the strength to stop herself in time.

As she rushed past him, Zakuro grabbed Niku's wrist that was holding her blade, gave it a very strong twist to the outside of her body, causing her to drop her sword and proceeded to twist her arm behind her back. Then, Zakuro slammed his foot into the back of her knee, causing her to kneel on the ground. With his left hand, Zakuro ripped the arsenal of weapons from the girl's belt and threw them behind him. He then grabbed a fistful of Niku's midnight black hair and pulled it tight. His foot continued to dig into her calf. Zakuro let go of her arm with his right hand and brought it up to her neck. Out of the corner of Niku's eye she would be able to see a dagger made of the same substance as the shield was. Zakuro pressed the blade tight against her neck and slightly shifted the blade to let a small stream of blood to flow. Zakuro leaned in very close to Niku, making sure her small body blocked his from Nao as much as possible and whispered, "If you even flinch a muscle in your arms to reach for one of those kunai or smoke bombs in your pouch you will be sorry. " then, louder to the Yamanaka, "make your next moves very carefully boy. Her life depends on it. If I see your hands form a seal, she's dead. If you run towards me, she's dead. If you do anything without me telling you to first... I think you get the idea." Zakuro listened very closely to Niku's body. The fact that their bodies were somewhat intertwined allowed Zakuro to hear everything. He could hear from something as loud as her heartbeat down to something as quiet as her diaphragm flexing with every breath. If she even moved a finger, Zakuro would hear it.

Naoyukino had to admit he was not expecting Zakuro to just suddenly stop before the barrier and then engage with Nikuya, which did make things quite a bit of a pain as he began to contemplate if trying to break his own jutsu was now the correct move as he may need to get past the wall and aid his new companion.
However the chuunin did not have to contemplate for long as things suddenly seemed to take a turn for the worst as their examiner turned full evil on them both, a move which was a possibility within their hearts due to who this man was but the Yamanaka had believed he must've received enough just punishment to even be released and so he had pushed such an idea deep down so that they could properly attempt this examination.

"Whoa!" The now dazed blond blurted out over what was happening "W-what's going on? Are you serious?" he questioned somewhat nervously, not wishing to cause further aggravation.
"Are you alright?" he then mentally asked Niku, wishing to make sure he may be fine at the very least.
The Yamanaka did not wish for his new comrade to be harmed or even killed and so he paused and took no actions for the moment as Zakuro wished, quietly thinking up what possible actions they could take.
One thing did come to mind though and that was if the man before them was planning to go rogue once again and was turning into a threat, then it may be upon him to call for help in some way but he wasn't sure if he could or should leave a fellow shinobi to die and Sayuri was still too damaged to fly off so he would likely be leaving the girl alone or possibly even instantly dead if he did try and take off.
"Is there anything you could do?" the boy followed up his other mental question to Niku, thinking it could be possible she could still distract the man enough for him to do something without escalating the situation.

The rhythm coming from Zakuro's feet changed slightly, Niku realized he was slowing down. She incorrectly presumed it was due to the erection of Nao's barrier. Her hand swung the blade at Zakuro with all the strength she could muster catching nothing but air; as her hand attempted to return the blade to it's sheath, Zakuro's hand grabbed her wrist, preventing her from doing so. She then realized the barrier was rather close and she needed to deal with both the barrier and Zakuro. It was true she'd have trouble stopping before hitting the barrier, if she relied on strength alone; luckily, Niku had been training herself in acrobatic maneuvers and decided to try one now.

She lowered her hand, the one being held and holding a sword, towards the ground. Utilizing her legs, she pushed off the ground causing her lower body to move upward, over the hand towards the sky, intending to put all of her weight on the hand. Her body would twist as she went heels over head, attempting a round-off which would allow her to redirect her momentum and stop before crashing into the barrier. She also hoped that the twisting and flipping would either pull Zakuro off balance or outright break his grip on her. However, she grossly underestimated the man's strength and her attempts were thwarted as he just resisted her acrobatic flip with strength alone, lifting her up rather than allowing her to lower it.

After that, things happened quickly, she found herself on the ground with Zakuro holding her by the hair, some sort of energy knife of white energy up to her neck. He told her not to move, which was easy enough to do. Even if she could move, she didn't really have any means of removing herself from this sort of situation.

"Y... yeah, I... I guess. I mean... I'm not dying... yet." Niku answered Nao's question mentally, regarding her current condition. After the next question, Niku realized that she to at least consider her options, rather than just giving up. Like Zakuro, Niku could hear everything that was happening in both of their bodies, but, she decided, that alone wasn't going to help in this case, nor did she realize that he could hear as well as she could.

"One," she answered Nao's second question before releasing a stream of urine from her bladder. It was, quite literally, the last thing she could think of and the chances that it would cause Zakuro any alarm were near nilch, but it was better than just letting the man slit her throat in her own village. This was her Will of Fire.

Like being under a waterfall, Zakuro could hear a torrent of water begin to cascade from beside him. The second that the smell of piss hit Zakuro's nostrils, he knew what had happened. The Chuunin was filled with disgust, but his will never wavered. 'Train like you fight.... Train like you fight' he repeated in his head over and over. He probably scared the poor girl to death, but if he was going to teach them a lesson, they'd have to feel fear.

Zakuro tossed the poor girl to the ground, making sure she landed on her back. Suddenly the dagger in his hand transformed into something far bigger and more menacing. With his left foot, Zakuro stepped on Niku's upper chest, keeping her pinned to the ground. He placed the tip of the greatsword on her chest and held it there, not letting it dig into her at all.

"Nao, if you want your friend to live a long and happy life, I want you to turn away from me, and send your consciousness away, knocking yourself out. Do that and I will leave Niku alone."

Naoyukino couldn't help but grimace a little when he noticed what was fully happening with Niku as a fowl liquid began to spread, seemingly out of fear but apparently her plan against Zakuro going by what she said through their shared thoughts.
Unfortunately the deranged man simply seemed to get angry over the situation and threw the girl about, slamming her into the ground before then extending a menacing blade of energy towards her as he began to threaten the onlooking blond.

Nao wasn't sure if following their attacker's commands was the best thing but he also know he did not wish to put his comrade in anymore danger and he felt like he had to take the man quite seriously, as such he felt like there might be no choice even if what he was asked to do put himself at risk it at least felt better than risking another's life in his stead.
That being said such a command to turn around presented a great opportunity and so the chuunin slowly began to turn around "Very well but you absolutely must not harm her" he calmly replied, holding his hands up as he turned and then began to scan the area.

The Yamanaka noted how Sayuri was still injured on the floor which hurt to see almost as much as Niku but as he looked around he also noticed other possible animals, of which a pigeon stood out the most as it went about its daily life pecking the floor like it was nothing and proved the most capable of targets.
"I will now perform a jutsu as you command" he then spoke out once again to reassure Zakuro of his actions.

With said words he began to perform a set of handseals and took aim at the pigeon which he then swiftly took over as he shot his consciousness out of his body, filling it withing the tiny animal much like he had practised with his own parrot all whilst freezing his own body as per usual with such a technique.
Once Nao had taken control he simply flew off behaving like a usual pigeon as he cautiously left his own now frozen body behind, taking high into the sky as he began to search.
"What now?" he pondered in his pigeon body, his new eyes scanning as best as they could as he planned to find someone to seek help.

It wasn't truly clear what was best but the easiest thing to do was to fly towards the Hokage's building and try and get his attention but perhaps there was someone else he could spot, perhaps Fanho? He wasn't too sure but he flew as fast as possible hoping his real body would not get attacked and that Niku was now left alone, though it did worry him that Zakuro would not keep promises and perhaps he instantly saw through such a tactic and hurt her anyway.
Jutsu usedShow
~Absent Mind, Rigid Body
E-ranked Ninjutsu
As the Yamanaka's consciousness leaves their body, they'll force chakra throughout their body in order to make it rigid, preventing it from falling over while their mind is absent. This drains a negligible amount of chakra every post due to being such a low ranked technique.

~Mind Body Change
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the necessary handseals, the Yamanaka projects their consciousness towards a target with a speed of 10 and a range of 15 meters. If this makes contact, the mind of the victim is forced to watch as the Yamanaka controls their actions. If the target has a (Control+Instinct)/2 more than the user's (Control+Instinct)/2, they can overpower the intruder and force them out of their body. Control allows them to control basic movement. It should be noted that any damage the possessed opponent suffers will be reflected on the Yamanaka's original body. If avoided or resisted, the consciousness takes one post to find its way back to the body. Lasts for 4 posts, during which the user's body goes limp.

While Niku's plan had worked, Zakuro had released her, giving her a moment to react, an opportunity to escape; however, she was unable to utilize the opportunity. She now found herself facing the sky, a foot and a sword on her chest. Even with her hands on Zakuro's foot, she thoroughly lacked the strength to budge the heavy appendage. There was, in her mind, nothing left that she could do. No amount of struggling or wiggling would save her and Nao was no match for Zakuro, so she couldn't even rely on his help.

She was displeased with her own ineptitude and inability to escape, feeling regret that she hadn't trained harder or more often. She knew that she hadn't fulfilled her promise to her grandfather to become a great samurai nor her promise to her father to become a great shinobi; she'd also failed to fulfill the promise to herself to properly merge the two. She had lots left to do in this world... she'd yet to fall in love, or even lose her virginity. The only slightly comforting thing going through Niku's mind as her back lay flush on the ground was that someone should be able to avenge her death before Zakuro could once again escape the village. There were many things going through Niku's mind as she awaited for Zakuro to remove her from this plane of existence.

Zakuro glanced over at Nao who was now standing completely still. Looking down at Niku, he stepped off and allowed the weapon in his hand to dissipate. Ignoring the fact that she just peed her pants, Zakuro acted like nothing had just happened. "Do you reckon he went to go get help?" Zakuro glanced down at Niku, and gave her a smile, hopefully alluding to the fact that he wished her no ill will. He then reached out a hand in order to help her up. "If you weren't able to figure it out by now, that was just a test. We ought to wake him before he sics the entire village on us." Zakuro meandered his way to the barrier, and with a lazy swing of his arm, he pounded the side of his fist into it. The barrier collapsed before them, giving way to the Yamanaka. "Um, I'm actually not entirely sure how to wake him if I'm being honest." Zakuro leaned in towards the boys ear and yelled. "IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, YOU CAN COME BACK NOW! THE TEST IS OVER." He waited a few seconds... No response. Zakuro lifted his arm and gave him a bonk on the top of his head. Hopefully this would get him back... aaaaaannnnddd nothing. Zakuro didn't really want to hurt the guy, but if that's what it was going to take... He quickly punched the stiff body in the stomach. It was hard enough to knock the air out of him and send him to his knees, but that was the extent of the damage. He awaited hopefully for Nao to return.

Looking back at Niku, he said "Do you want a change of clothes? You can put on my jacket for now. It's more than long enough to serve as a makeshift dress until you can change out."

Naoyukino started to fly low as he zoomed as fast as he could looking for help, though that wasn't too fast he had to admit as the pigeon wasn't really the most capable and he was having a bit of a hard time using its body and as a result it was no surprise he was suddenly captured by a frantic cat that seemed to burst out of nowhere.
The Yamanaka controlled pigeon crashed to the ground as the cat's claws and teeth dug in and made it too difficult to escape bringing an abrupt end to the lad's scheme, causing there to be no other choice but to release so as not to be chomped to death by a small crazed animal and in turn sending his consciousness flying back to his original body.

However as a cat was brutally mauling his host so too was his body being brutally assaulted; heavy breath taking punches slammed into the Yamanaka's body just as he was entering back into it, forcing the boy to double over in breathless pain though just in time to hear the equally crazed man ask Niku if she needed fresh clothes which hit him with a wave of confusion.

Once the pain began to subside and breath returned Nao began to stand back up only to feel the slight sting of claw and teeth marks along his upper back and neck gliding across the fabric of his clothes, the telltale truth of a Yamanaka assaulted in another's body except this one was a little more pathetic given it was a pigeon attacked by a cat.
"Wh-what i-is going on?" the blond then wheezed as he stood up and glanced between Niku and their seemingly less aggressive attacker.

Nao wasn't sure what was going on but the experience affirmed that he probably needed some sort of body sensory techniques in case if such a similar situation arose where he could not protect his body properly in the future, plus perhaps a way people could communicate to his consciousness through his body even if he was not present, proving it to be quite the revealing exercise.

Niku was confused when the foot let up on her chest, her eyes opening to see what had changed. The weapon pointing at her disappeared as well and her attacker said something but she didn't really comprehend it. She wondered what was going on but her brain was too busy trying to figure it out to understand the words coming from Zakuro. Her body moved, somewhat of its own accord, rolling away from Zakuro before settling a few feet away on all fours, the tips of her feet dug into the dirt ready to push the kunoichi into action if necessary. She watched as the man slowly moved towards the barrier that encapsulated them, curious what he had up his sleeve. She was surprised at how easily he destroyed the barrier, seemingly without much effort.

"Um, I'm actually not entirely sure how to wake him if I'm being honest," he said, setting the gears turning in Niku's mind. He then yelled in the Yamanaka's ear about a test. Niku realized that this whole confrontation had been a test to get into Mamorinuku. I didn't realize it was that kind of organization. she mused to herself, standing up, all the tension in her body releasing as she calmed down. She looked to Zakuro as he tried to summon the boy's mind back to his body though physical means if necessary. Just after that, he turned to her and asked "Do you want a change of clothes? You can put on my jacket for now. It's more than long enough to serve as a makeshift dress until you can change out."

It was then that Niku remembered what she'd done just moments ago in an attempt to free herself from Zakuro's grasp. She'd forgotten up to that point, but she looked down, checking herself out. "Yeah, that seems good," she responded, taking a couple steps forward with her hand outstretched. Her mind was already curious if they'd passed the test, but she didn't feel comfortable asking.
