It was a sweltering, humid, and all-around hot day as Hyuuga Taiyo sat in a Hyuuga compound park studying scroll after scroll on Charge Fuuinjutsu, however, his studies were not going very well due to the fact that he was catcalling almost every young Hyuuga that went. Even though he was only joking at he called out to them, more than a few of them got angry with him and attempted to start fights with him. He would, however, only laugh and dodge out of the way with his Fuuinjutsu scrolls in his hands. Taiyo knew that he should focus on his studies and that bothering everyone was only going to get him yelled at and scolded later by his siblings, but he couldn't help it. It was a miserable day and the heat was preventing him from concentrating. That was what he kept telling himself anyway. In actuality, he was just bored. Charge Fuuinjutsu, while obviously useful to him, were not as appealing to Taiyo as Augment Fuuinjutsu. Sure he could create tags that shot fireballs or whatever, but that did not interest him in any way. At least with Augment Fuuin he could literally change how he saw the world, or even change how his body worked. The proof was in his eyes. He was able to use Augment Fuuinjutsu to change his doujutsu, though most of his clan were not fond of that fact.

Having jumped into the branches of a nearby tree, Taiyo was reclining while reading a scroll about the workings of Charge Fuuinjutsu when he began forming hand seals. The tip of his left index finger began to burn with a small flame as he pressed it on to the tree and began carving a new fuuin into the tree. Taiyo was attempting to create a D rank fireball Charge Fuuinjutsu but had accidentally set the tree on fire. He quickly jumped out of the tree and activated his Byakugan to try and find someone for help. While he was searching for help the fire began to spread to other trees in the area and began to threaten the entire compound.

Aina was leaning against a nearby tree, arms crossed, unmoving as she watched the boy. She'd noticed him as he bothered those passing by him but didn't move a muscle just yet. She was thinking of a prank to play to cause him some discomfort, but it seemed the boy was set on his own discomfort as he managed to light a tree on fire. With sigh, Aina clicked her tongue, a sound meant to be heard by the young woman behind her, leaning against her back. "I think we could use some Suiton, 'Airi." she told her quietly, sighing heavily as the young Yamanaka stepped out from behind her and saw the trees.

Inoairi took one glance at the nearby pond and smirked. "Well, he certainly deserves this side effect after this." she remarked before her hands moved into seals. When her seals were completed, a conical torrent of water rose out of the lake and dowsed the entire area, including the trees that had been aflame, and the boy who had set them alight. Everything was soaked, the fire was out, and Inoairi smirked.

Aina shook her head and waited for the jutsu to dissipate before stepping around her student and walking towards the boy. "If you're not well versed with a particular Katon jutsu, I don't recommend dry trees for experimentation, kid." she said, loud enough for him to hear. Once close enough the Bannin Hyuuga crossed her arms and simply looked at him. "You seem to like trouble from what I can see... catcalling was harmless but that was... dumb."

While searching for anyone to help with his Byakugan a large stream of water fell on his head. Because it had caught him off guard the torrent of water pushed Taiyo on to his ass and he immediately became so mad that he was surprised the water had not turned to steam. And to add insult to injury someone called out to him about his screw up with his technique which hit a nerve. Having already deactivated his doujutsu, Taiyo began bitching at the woman who had spoke as he stood up. "First of all it wasn't experime-!" As he turned and saw who it was that had been talking to him, Taiyo's entire demeanor changed in an instant. "Madame Bannin, I apologize for my rash behavior. I was attempting a new Fuuinjutsu detailed in a scroll I received from my sister and the technique backfired on me. it will not happen again, ma'am." Everything about Taiyo seemed to have changed. He was extremely polite, his tone was completely even, and he even bowed slightly at the waist as he addressed the woman in front of him.

Although many elders were displeased with her choice of style, Taiyo absolutely looked up to her and idolized her. She blazed her own trail in life and did not worry, as far as Taiyo could tell, about what the clan thought of her. "I appreciate your help with putting out the fire. I am Hyuuga Taiyo ma'am. As far as the catcalling goes; I meant no harm. I only like to tease people when I am bored. Other than harmless jokes I really do my best to stay out of trouble. I know the older generations of the clan are already displeased with me for altering my doujutsu, so I really try to stay on their good side." His tone of speech was polite, but he was speaking faster than usual in his nervousness.

Aina couldn't help a snort as the kid started to yell at her, only to be stopped in his verbal tracks as he spotted who it was that spoke to him. She uncrossed her arms and walked towards him, stopping only when she was a few feet from him. Her hands slipped into her pockets as Inoairi stood behind her, though the Yamanaka took up a very different stance with her arms crossed over her chest. "Taiyo-san, you can just call me Aina. Please, I don't think I'm old enough for 'Madame' anything just yet." she said, smirking a bit as she moved to a now wet bench and took a seat, not seeming to care that the bench was wet as she looked at Taiyo. "Slow down." she told him, as he spoke fast and quickly seemed to apologize for everything. She was certain if she let him keep going he might apologize if his breathing offended her. She leaned forward, elbows on her knees as she looked at him. "At your age I did worse than catcalling. I used to hide in this trees and flick senbon at anyone who passed that looked like a prim-proper-stick-up-their-ass clanmate, as I called them." she told him, smirking a bit at him.

"Please, I'm the last person in this compound who is going to get upset with you over silly antics, I'm just going to warn you to be more careful with your Katon work." she told him, looking at him a moment as her mind ran over things he's already said. "You mentioned altering your doujutsu... why don't you tell me about that?"

Yamanaka Inoairi didn't speak as Aina addressed the other Hyuuga, choosing to stay out of what she saw as potentially a clan matter. She did move to stand behind Aina at the bench, glancing about periodically as she often did.

As Aina spoke to him Taiyo was able to relax and calm himself down, although he had needed to take a few deep breaths to do so. While he tried his best not to, he was unable to stop himself from laughing when she spoke of throwing senbon at the more prissy members of their clan. However, when she asked about what he had meant when he spoke of altering his doujutsu he froze for a second, subconsciously expecting to get yelled at. Taiyo's whole body had tensed up, and he had closed his eyes as tightly as he could, he really did not like his clan's reaction to how he had changed the Byakugan. After not hearing any screaming, or degrading remarks, Taiyo opened his eyes and sighed with relief. "Sorry. Force of habit. Usually, I get screamed at for bringing it up." After he finished speaking Taiyo smiled at the older Hyuuga and activated his Byakugan. After his doujutsu was activated Taiyo pushed his headband up slightly on the left side of his head and revealed an augment fuuinjutsu. His fingers glowed blue slightly as he touched the fuuinjutsu to activate it and his left eye immediately went from the standard milky-white of the Byakugan to a fiery copper-orange color.

Taiyo closed his left eye tightly while looking around himself with his right eye for something that he could demonstrate his eye's new ability on that would not burn the village down. After looking around for a minute he found a lily pad in the pond that the Yamanaka girl had pulled water from early and turned his gaze on to it. Taiyo then closed his right eye as his left opened. After a few moments, the lily pad floating in the pond caught on fire without Taiyo forming a single hand seal. He then closed his left eye again and re-opened his right eye. "As long as the fuuinjutsu is active on my left temple I can ignite anything my left can see. Within a reasonable range of course. The flames are pretty weak right now, only about the strength of a D rank Ninjutsu technique, but as my knowledge with augment fuuinjutsu advances, I plan to increase the range and power that it gives my eye." Taiyo tapped the fuuinjutsu on his left temple once more to deactivate it, and also deactivated his doujutsu before he re-opened his left eye.

Aina chuckled a bit as Taiyo flinched, shaking her head. "I'm not going to scream at you." she assured him, waiting for him to demonstrate what he was talking about. She watched with interest at what he did, nodding as she thought over what he was doing. 'Hm... I imagine same thing could be done with channeling... why put it on his doujutsu?' she thought to herself, keeping them to herself for the time being. She could see what he was doing, but naturally she had no idea what he had planned for it for the future. There were cases where Aina's curiosity might lead her to pointing out an issue she saw, and other times where she might stay silent and let things ride out before she considered asking her questions.

This situation was the latter. There weren't many things she agreed with the clan elders on, but messing with the doujutsu was one of them, she just wasn't nearly so vocal. After watching her adopted daughter struggle with blindness, she hardly saw the worth in risking the same. Regardless of her views however, she wasn't going to yell at the boy. "It's certainly interesting." she remarked, looking at him a moment. "I'll never understand the elders' obsessions with yelling at the up and coming shinobi... disagree with something or no, it's ironically just childish." she couldn't help a grin at a thought. "Pretty sure my twins have better etiquette than they do, and they're four."

Taiyo smiled as Aina spoke of her children though his expression quickly turned into one of surprise. "I guess it doesn't help if I don't tell you the purpose of modifying my Byakugan. As my knowledge with fuuinjutsu gets stronger I will eventually, or so I plan, be able to ignite EVERYTHING within the view of my Byakugan. Not just my standard line of sight." While Taiyo was able to ignite anything he could within his sight right now, even if it was behind him thanks to his Byakugan, he was unable to ignite everything he could see. He had read of the mythological divine dragon known as the Torch Dragon who could ignite anything just by looking at it and aspired to do the same. Taiyo's two greatest aspirations in life were to be as strong with Katon as the Torch Dragon and as skilled of an archer as the legendary Hou Yi who shot down the sun. After shaking his head side to side Taiyo stopped daydreaming and smiled. "I apologize, ma'am, I have completely ignored your companion. Obviously I am Hyuuga Taiyo, may I have the pleasure of knowing your name?" As he spoke to not only Aina but the Yamanaka girl behind her, his smile grew larger by the second.

While his smile was slightly devious it held no extra meaning. Whether the girl told him her name or not, Taiyo turned back to Aina and continued speaking. "I was wondering, ma'am, if you might be able to give me any pointers while you're here? If you don't have the time I understand of course. I only just started learning Jyuuken recently you see. Most of my training growing up was towards archery. However, I am taking to the Gentle Fist quite naturally, but I was wondering if there was anyone in the clan who has successfully integrated their elemental affinity into their Jyuuken? I am attempting to do so with my Katon, and I have some basic success, but it just that. Basic."

"Yamanaka Inoairi." the young woman next to Aina answered Taiyo's introduction rather quickly, but with a smile. "Most just call me Airi though. Sorry for soaking you, but I'm afraid Aina here is all Katon and it was the best solution I had." The girl chuckled and glanced at Aina who simply rolled her eyes sarcastically at the girl, shaking her head.

Aina nodded at the boy's question though, chewing on the inside of her lip as she thought it over. "I admit I haven't tried to work much in with my Jyuuken myself, but I'm sure I could at least help in theory. Katon of any kind is pretty much my specialty." she replied. "Just don't ask me to demonstration any Sankaton here. I don't use it in spars and demonstrations due to its potency, and even if I did this area isn't near big enough for me to safely show you." she added. "Do you have an idea of what you want to do with it already? Or are you still at a point that you know you just want to do something that involves both?" She knew her words could come off condescending, but without another way to phrase it she simply went with it, hoping the kid understood that her interest was in helping him, not berating him or anything of its kind.
