Hard to Catch

Post by Zao » Sat Sep 26, 2020 11:24 pm

Their had been something of a pest lurking outside the village itself, to the north was the nearest small town name Hiroshi where the town was complaining of some sort of elusive animal that had been picking off their small pets and the hunters of the village were unable to track down the creature. So they had issued a mission request to the Leaf village and it dispatched a team of genin the day before yesterday. And yet, the three genin had been unable to stop the unknown animal from attacking the small animals of the farmers that lived on the village outskirts. With report of their failure the village the shinobi in charge of assigning out the lower level missions sat back in his chair for a moment, contemplating over the situation and if he needed to really pull a chuunin in to take care of the mission.

After a short time he looked back down at the update memo and decided to just assign a pair of addition genin to join up with the other team, five genin should surely be able to take care of this problem in his mind. This would also allow for him to continue assigned chuunin to the higher priority missions that were coming in more frequently as of late. With that settled he pushed it down his chain of shinobi below him and two notifications went out at random. One was a young member of the Sozo family named Akujin while the other was a member of the famed Konoha Hyuuga clan named Kazuhiro. Quickly a messenger was sent out to retrieve each of them, having them link up at the lower level of the mission assignment building to receive their tasking.

In a small compound, a masked genin was strapping on his pouched, scroll, and Katana at the moment. To his side was an older looking man who appeared to be probably in his fifties was accompanying him as the dou seemed prepared to set off somewhere. But just as the two Sozo members were about to leave their was a knock at the door and when the older man opened it a shinobi baring a letter stood. "Good morning, Sir. I'm looking for Sozo Akujin, he's to report to the mission assignment office." As the teenager listed and then stepped up to take the notification he tilted his head to the side, having just completed a mission two days ago it should have been a few more days before the group was assigned to another.

It would seem that the grandfather and grandson would have to train together another day, at least he was already prepped for a mission. Hopefully it wasn't as lame as the last one which had them tracking down a few lost pets for two citizens of the village. Sighing he bit his grandfather farewell and set off to the assignment building, arriving in the lobby shortly there after where he was able to speak with the secretary at the 1st floor desk. The young man there told the genin he was waiting for one other to arrive and for him to stand by in the waiting area just to the secretary's left side. As he sat down the Sozo boy pulled out a small drawing book and pencil, seeming to pass the time by doodling on the blank pages while awaiting the fellow genin's arrival.
