*Ding* the sound of the last bell hit at the Academy. Tenzin finished off his final statements to his class as he smacked a group of papers against his table. "Remember, Shurikens are not toys. When you practice during your week break, please be sure to have a parent or an older sibling with you. Other than that, have a great break." The class couldn't be more excited to leave. The man placed his papers to the right of his desk and got up himself when he knew everyone was gone. It was a minor detail, but it was important to be the last one to leave in case a student had a question. After a few years of doing this Tenzin had gotten into a rhythm that was great in one aspect, but didn't make him feel fully fulfilled in another. As he walked out of the classroom, he was sure to close the door behind him. The Sensei passed by a few other teachers, but instead of chit chatting he decided to say bye to his co-workers and head home.

As a whole the day was bright with minimal clouds. Gorgeous weather and a perfect way to start the break. Over the years his sister had been enrolling in the Medical Academy and wasn't going to be home when he would. However, the young shinobi liked to stop at the a few pop up shops and grab groceries to make a dinner in case she did come home. It didn't take long for Tenzin to grab a few vegetables, some chicken, and some noodles from the stalls. It was enough ingredients to make a dish that would last a few solid days.

The sun was still up and it was beautiful early afternoon as Tenzin simply was walking home with groceries in one hand and his school papers to grade in his left. He always loved the sights at Konoha. In the past he had visited Suna and thought about how grateful he was to be in a place so lush with color and wildlife. Lost in thought and appreciation, Tenzin didn't realize until he saw his small home that had arrived! Tenzin placed his groceries down and reached into his pocket. He unlocked the door, placed the key in his pocket, and then reached down to grab his bag of groceries.

When he walked into his house, he made a B-Line to the kitchen. The sensei placed the papers on the table with the groceries on the other side of the table. Tenzin was thinking of how to plan the rest of his afternoon. He wanted to cook up dinner and then sit outside with a drink to enjoy the sun go down. It would be quiet but a very relaxing night.

Tenshi, real name Aizawa, Nobu the assistant and brother of Aizawa Yoru, was dressed in the traditional ANBU garb. He had a grey flak jacket on, dark grey trousers and matching sandals. This was finished with a white mask that was fitted perfectly to his face. Perched gently upon the rooftop of Tenzin’s small home, peering through the small holes within the mask he looked out at the landscape in front of him, taking in his surroundings and making sure no one could see him. Without anyone around, he felt comfortable continuing with his mission.

Though, if he was honest it wasn’t truly anything serious and very little laws would be broken.

Pushing off the rooftop, the sound of tiles loosening ever so slightly as he soared upwards flipping through the air and landing on the ground below with a soft, almost silent thud. He gingerly moved through the back garden, pressing up against the wall towards the nearest window. Which coincidently lead to the kitchen. Peering through, no one was home.

Nobu withdrew a senbon and ran it across the bottom of the window, pressing it in place until he heard a soft click, releasing it from the latch. Pulling it open, Nobu lifted up his body through the window and over the kitchen work top, into the kitchen.

Pushing his hand into his pouch, he pulled out an envelope on the front of it was the ANBU symbol painted on in ink and if it were to be opened, it would simply have a set of coordinates written on a piece of paper. The envelope was placed on one of the work tops, at that exact moment the sound of the front door unlocking could be heard.

Tenzin? questioned Nobu, he couldn’t be seen he pushed off the ground and dived back through the window landing once again silently and slowly pushed the window back in place, hopefully before Tenzin reached the kitchen. He didn’t want Tenzin to see he was there, he lowered himself down and hugged the wall waiting for the right moment to slip away.

If he was honest, he could of just slipped the envelope under the door but The Commander liked the mystic of the ANBU and wanted to keep that very much alive. So for now, Nobu would simply wait in silence.

The table was not anything large. The papers and the groceries were a few feet away from each other, but equally near the edge of the table. The Sensei grabbed the groceries and began to place them within the fridge. It only took a few moments for Tenzin to grab the rest of the dried groceries and snacks and place them in the pantry. It was a rather dull day and lately, most of them have felt like that. He moved himself to the papers he was going to grade, but something stuck out as he moved his head to see the entirety of the kitchen with lights on. There was an envelope... Tenzin didn't remember bringing any mail in, but the envelope had a symbol on it. He reached over and grabbed it. "This is... the Anbu symbol?" He thought to himself as he began to open up the envelope. Upon unraveling the letter he looked at the words that were placed on them. He was almost cross-eyed trying to read it, but he gathered they were coordinates of some kind.

The shinobi studied what was on the envelope; he figured based on the symbol, the coordinates, and that it was in his house without him knowing this was something he should pursue ASAP. After a couple minutes of memorizing the coordinates, he went to the burner of the kitchen and burnt the letter as a whole. The secret nature of the letter being given to him probably meant that this should be a secret overall and he didn't want to cause any issues if there were intangibles.

With haste, Tenzin moved himself to the front door. Once he exited his house, he made sure to lock the door and begin heading to the location that were on the coordinates. The shinobi thought it would be better to do a brisk walk than to run, he didn't want to make it seem like something was going on. After a bit of walking he came across a common area of Konoha that was covered in lush forestry. He made his way to through the woods only to come out in front of a strange structure. Tenzin had been part of the village for some time, but didn't really know that this was here. It was almost part of the forest, but clearly by the cement and the steel gate, it had much more inside. He gave the area a slight look around. He didn't see anything completely out of the normal.

However, if this was something he should be concerned about, Tenzin decided that before fully coming out of the thick of the trees and into the open before the structure he should do his own due diligence. He didn't want to alert anyone with releasing his chakra, so he stood behind a tree trying to take glances around the area. He stood still for quite some time in hopes he would hear someone move or even see a movement. However, after spending some time, he couldn't tell if anyone was around or not. It didn't seem like it, but he had a strange feeling like someone was watching him. Regardless, he decided it couldn't be too dangerous. With that in mind he stayed alert and continued to walk forward, towards the structure.

Nobu slowly lifted himself up from the wall, once he heard the door click once again. Tenzin was leaving, or so it would at least seem, was he heading to the coordinates straight away? If so, The Commander would be impressed with the man’s due diligence.

Throwing himself upwards in the air, Nobu’s fingertips grasped on to the edge of the rooftop and yanked himself up back to where he had loosened the tiles before. He watched Tenzin walk towards the public areas of Konoha. Before he followed, he’d gently push the tile back into place, it would only be polite.

Nobu stayed close, but just out of sight so unless Tenzin used a sensory ability, he likely wouldn’t see him or at least that’s what Nobu hoped. Though if he was caught it wouldn’t overly matter, If Tenzin was a smart as The Commander suggest he wouldn’t be surprised to see a member of ANBU now following him.

Once Tenzin arrived, Nobu stayed within the tops of the trees and whispered “He’s here.” Once Tenzin decided to approach the gate, a fuuin would activate that only members of ANBU had access to. Nobu was curious how the man would approach this, could be break through the fuuin, would he knock, or would he simply wait? Either option was fine.

As Tenzin walked toward the gate, he stopped suddenly. Something was off on a few levels. That feeling someone was watching him lingered in the air. He also looked at the gate. He placed his arm up and rested it upwards holding his chin as if he was deep in thought. If this was truly the Anbu, then it would only be logical that someone was watching him. However, if it was a trap, then someone would be watching him as well. Tenzin looked around and continued to think about where someone could be. Technically, he was at the coordinates that were given and yet.... nothing was happening. Was he to walk through the gate? Trap or not, there was two factors that he had to consider. Someone watching him and something would happen if he truly walked up to the gate. Tenzin turned around to the full forest section that was a few arms length away.

He looked up at the trees and then further towards the forest. Although there was a lot of places to hide, Tenzin could see there was only a few directional areas that someone could be an see him without being seen. Who ever was in the area was not only skilled, but experienced. Should he bother and see if he could draw out whoever was there, or should he walk up to the gate. He moved his hand that was resting below his chin and scratch the back of his head. "I guess" he muttered out loud.

The shinobi turned around with the woods behind him. Tenzin was hoping that if there was someone watching him, that it would be behind him. As he walked forward, he kept his hands in front of him tight in front of his stomach. As he walked towards the gate, Tenzin figured he would move forward and fall into what could have been a trap. However, he didn't want his back to not be covered. With the progression of walking forward, the Sensei weaved a few hand seals as he channeled his chakra. If someone was watching him, they might see Tenzin's awkward walking posture. When Tenzin got closer to the gate he expelled his chakra behind him. From the ground, water rose and formed into a clone that molded perfectly to look exactly like Tenzin. The clone took out a Kunai and turned around to face towards the woods, the opposite direction as Tenzin.

There were a few different ways of tackling this, but Tenzin figured that this tactic would make a statement. If it was a trap, he at least wouldn't have been stabbed in the back. It also let the viewer know that he knew something was up. With the clone guarding Tenzin's back he looked at the gate. He could tell that it wasn't normal. He didn't have much experience with Ninpou so the shinobi decided to take out his half staff that he carried with him. The shinobi attempted to hit the gate a few times to make a noise. This attempt was in hopes that someone behind the gate would hear. However, what would happen when he hit the gate was something he wasn't sure of.

Nobu watched through the treeline, he was adamant that Tenzin hadn’t seen him but he was aware that someone was watching him that was obvious enough, creating a clone to defend from behind if he were to be attacked. Perhaps he thought this was a trap? Good idea to defend from behind, as Tenzin struck the gate a glow would appear as a fuuinjutsu lit up then unlit again, this would happen for everytime he struck the door.

This fuuinjutsu was carefully inscribed and only members of ANBU could unlock it, though of course the seal could be undone by someone skilled enough. Though this wasn’t overly a common ability.

Nobu heard a hum in his ear, he pressed it against his neck and listened to the message he nodded “Yes commander.” He said, louder this time not having to hide himself any longer. Dropping down from the tree, he fell towards the air and landed on the grass below with a soft thud, the sound of twigs snapping could be heard.

The Anbu agent slowly walked towards Tenzin, with his hands raised as though to say he was no threat. Assuming Tenzin allowed him to pass, Nobu placed his hand on the gate. Once again the fuuinjutsu would glow, the inscription would pull away from across the gate and slowly unwrite itself. Nobu would push the gate open and gesture for him to go through.

If Tenzin did go through the gate, Nobu would slip away back into the tree line and leave the man to his own device’s he’d now have access to the ANBU headquarters. If he entered, it would lead to a dimly lit dark tunnel.

After a couple hits, the light that followed near the gate faded. It seemed to hit a fuuinjutsu... Tenzin looked at it for a few seconds, but before he could determine anything his clone gave a slight whistle. Tenzin turned his head only to see a shinobi with his hands up walk towards him. It was clear the message he was trying to send. "You can put the kunai away." The shinobi said to his clone. With a slight nod, the clone put away his kunai while continuously watching the figure walking forward. Both the clone and Tenzin moved slightly to the side. The shinobi scratched his head awkwardly as he watched the figure go towards the gate. Before he got to the gate Tenzin couldn't help but give an awkward introduction. "Oh.. Hey there."

He could tell that the shinobi had his own objectives. Whether he said anything or not, eventually he would open the gate. With the slight gesture to go through, Tenzin and his clone would walk through. They both would wave their hands and in synch they both awkwardly said "Thanks?". The gate didn't seem to be that big of an issue however, when they were inside it was rather... creepy. Dimly lit and it seemed to almost be like a tunnel. The clone looked at Tenzin and simply asked "Do you know where to go?". They both looked at each other as if a bad joke was said. Tenzin simply said "If I had to guess, we should just follow the lights. Even if there were a secret passage, it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Lets just keep going down and hope for the best." The clone nodded and they both turned and headed in one of the directions the tunnel lead.

It was dim, with little lights. Both Tenzin and the clone didn't know exactly where they were headed.

Nobu peered through the small eye holes of his mask, looking at the man as he spoke to him. Nobu only replied with a simple nod, he watched the pair enter through and he slowly closed the gate behind them. The fuuinjutsu quickly formed back across the gate, locking it back in place and behind Tenzin.

Frantically, Nobu took off lifting himself over the concrete structure clumsily, that surrounded the gate. The whole mystique of the ANBU dropped, almost tripping over he was in such a rush. He hurtled through the woods towards a hatch much further down the tunnel, his fingers wrapped the handle and he yanked it open leading to a secret passageway, dropping down and landing on a large cross sectioned platform, with a red fencing and very dimly lit. Nobu’s chest heaved in and out heavily, his breath echoed loudly reflecting off the walls of the large hallway.

Out from the darkness “Compose yourself Tenshi.” Could be heard, Nobu bit down on his lip beneath his mask, straightened up his posture and stifled his breath. Two other Anbu agents stood either side of an imposing figure in a long black hooded coat and wore his own Anbu mask. Nobu scurried behind the man known as The Commander.

The four men would step forward and stand at the central point of the cross roading platform, The Commander taking the centre point and wating for their new arrival, who if followed the torches would soon find himself amongst them.

The clone was trailing behind Tenzin, but it noticed that the shinobi in front of him had stopped. They had been following the light for a little bit now, but they had finally came across a several figures in front of them. Due to the dimly lit area, all they could really see were the white masks. The clone kept on walking and ended up side by side with Tenzin. They both stood there and folded their arms at the figures.

It was tough to tell any kind of information from the figures in front of them. However, Tenzin (and anyone for that matter) could tell that these figures were clearly part of the Anbu. Upon being several feet away, Tenzin turned to the clone and the clone turned back at him. They both knew that this wasn't a place that required a clone. Although Tenzin enjoyed the company of having backup, the shinobi released the jutsu. By doing this, the clone dispelled. The clone once had Tenzin's form, turned back into water and simply fell to the ground as a puddle.

Once the clone turned to a puddle, the Sensei turned his head towards the hooded figures who were wearing masks. This was an intimidating crew, Tenzin could almost feel their chakra. The shinobi kept his cool, with his arms folded. If the leading figure spoke first or not, Tenzin would simply say. "I would introduce myself, but you guys probably know who I am at this point... Can't imagine you would let anyone in here."

Yoru peered at the man through the eye holes of his white mask as he entered onto the crossroading platform and grimaced at when the clone dispelled and left a puddle of water on the ground below. Of course this wouldn’t be seen and Yoru simply nodded as the man said he wouldn’t introduce himself as there was no need.

“Yes I know quite a bit about you Hatake, Tenzin.” Yoru’s voice rang out through his mask and bounced off the walls and he stepped away from the pack of ANBU agents, all of whom kept a firm posture, showing their discipline.

“A modest shinobi, focusing on teaching others and teaching in the academy. A role certainly not to be sniffed at, though perhaps your skills would be of more use elsewhere.” He said, with a somewhat sing song tone it was almost hypnotic in nature.

The Commander held his hand out to Tenzin “May I have your letter?” Yoru had no idea that it had already being burnt, but he’d want to dispose of it himself not wanting to leave any remitments behind.

Tenzin knew his role as a teacher wasn't the most glorious. It was a position where he was often looked down on and constantly was reminded that it wasn't a position for higher ranked shinobi. With this in mind the young Sensei listened to Yoru as he mentioned what he thought of his employment. It was refreshing for Tenzin to hear that he was thought of for doing more within the village.

It was easy to deduce that this was an introduction to bigger things. Although shaping the youth was rewarding, Tenzin always felt he could do more. He watched as the man in the mask took a step forward. However, he noticed the men behind him stayed still and in a defensive pose. This was a form of power. Tenzin had nothing but respect for the faceless shinobi in front of him.

He watched as the shinobi put his hand out. The question rang in his head and for a moment he almost forgot about the letter. Tenzin thought for a few seconds on how to break the news to him, but figured there was no way around it. "Sorry, I didn't realize it was something you wanted to keep around. I burned it before leaving my house.. Figured it was something you wouldn't want laying around." The shinobi stood still as he spoke to the man with his hand out, kept his arms crossed and waited to see what would happen next.

His lips turned up as a smile ran across his face, hidden beneath his mask as Tenzin said he’d disposed of the letter, very astute of him it was apparent he understood the secret nature and ambiguity of the organisation known as ANBU.

He turned behind him and nodded to one of the agents behind him, giving a nod “Yes Commander.” Said the agent, as though he understood what Yoru was asking of him and instant he slipped into the darkness. It was apparent that he was leaving to check Tenzin’s property and make sure he was telling the truth, though if Yoru was honest he didn’t doubt Tenzin in the slightest.

He waved his arm for the other two agents, dismissing them and again they slipped away leaving on Yoru, Tenzin and a puddle of water.

“Follow me.”
He said in a slow, cold tone. He turned on his heels and took a left leading the man through though the headquarters, the pair headed towards his office walking mostly in silence, until finally Yoru spoke “I imagine you understand why I’ve asked you here?” he questioned, wondering what the mans response would be.

"Interesting" Tenzin thought as the leader made his commands. He watched as they followed his non-verbal commands. One by one they disappeared into the darkness. Tenzin watched and listened as the figured turned completely around and started walking away. Tenzin followed his command and stayed a few steps behind him keeping the same pace.

The big question that was in Tenzin's mind was the one that was asked; a sense of "Why are you here". While the Shinobi was walking he placed his hand on his chin to think for a few moments before answering. He replied with his reasoning behind it by saying "Based on the series of events of how I am here now along with the secrecy I think there are one of two reasons why I am following you right now. It could be a series of small tests to see what decisions I would make. A way to see if I would be a good candidate to join the ranks. I could be jumping ahead of myself too, another possibility is there is a specific mission that you would want my expertise with."

He moved his hand from his chin to over his head to scratch it. "However, these are just deductions. Based on the way you and your squad conduct yourselves, I truly wouldn't know the exact reason... these would all be speculations."

The Shinobi finished his thoughts and realized maybe it would be better to just ask. "Am I close?"

Yoru listened carefully to Tenzin, he hadn’t truly expected him to gather an answer, but it was interesting how he approached it. He simply responded “Possibly.” as The Commander came towards his office, he pushed open the door, it was a stark contrast to the dark dingy hallways they’d just walked through. It was well lit, framed surrealist art was on either side of the walls, the soft smell of lilies filled the air, though the location of the scent couldn’t be found. Yoru pulled down his black hood and slipped it off placing it on a hook, he wore a long sleeved green tunic and dark black trousers, his long red hair fell freely his hand pushed gently on the mask, lifting it from his face and revealing his true identity. Aizawa, Yoru Bannin of Konoha, The White Eyed Demon of the Leaf and The Commander of ANBU.

He nodded to the seat at the front of his desk, his desk was a simple dark wooden desk with stacks of papers and writing equipment on it. Resting the mask on his desk, he moved around and sat behind it “Aizawa, Yoru.” He said his own name, he knew that many of the shinobi were untrusting of Yoru, he was a known convict, an ex rogue shinobi and even attempted to kill the hokage at one point. There was even rumours that he had stolen a byakugan. He was a notorious character.

“Keeping my identity secret, seems somewhat pointless now. I assume you’re interested in the ANBU or you wouldn’t have been so eager. But I want you to know who I am, who you'd be working under, I know what the other shinobi think of me and likely what you think of me.” He said, as his single hazel eye darted up and down Tenzin, taking him in, trying to read him and see how he felt about the situation “As you may of known, the ANBU have become somewhat lax of the last couple of years, under poor leadership. Now that leader has… gone.” he said with a cold, heartless tone “A new dawn of ANBU is on the cusp, I need powerful shinobi on my side, not just physical power but intellect.”

Step after step, Tenzin followed the intimidating shiniobi. He listened to his one word reply and looked upon the room as they came into the office. They spent a short amount of time in the leaders office before he removed is hood and showed who he was. Tenzin was almost in shock, he had heard rumors of this shinobi but never had the chance to actually encounter him.

When the shinobi confirmed his identity, Tenzin was able to have his suspicions set aside. "Interesting" he thought as he kept his focus on Yoru. Tenzin gave the shinobi a full once over, he looked at his attire, but was interested in his left eye. It's tough to have a rumor about what he has and the coincidence of his eye patch.

After Yoru nodded to the chair in front of his desk, Tenzin got the hint and took a seat. He pulled it out before sitting on it so he had some room for his legs. Tenzin glared at the man as he stated the situation at hand. Simply put he was the leader of the Anbu. What was interesting to Tenzin was that this man was chosen as the leader. Someone with his history would be a controversial choice for the leader of the shadows. Maybe it was keep your friends close kind of situation. Regardless, Tenzin decided to keep his face straight and continue to listen to what Yoru had to say.

Tenzin actually knew Gene who was the previous leader. He never found out how he died, just that he was gone. With Yoru's statement it was clear that he was no longer part of the picture. The young shinobi wanted to learn more about jutsus and Kekkei... however that would require research. Research that would need to stay out of the public. Tenzin did a classic anime smirk and kept eye contact with Yoru's "good" eye. When he had finished, Tenzin finally spoke up. "You were right. I wouldn't have come here if I wasn't already interested." Tenzin adjusted his position in the seat to lean a little bit more forward. "Although I have some questions.. I think they will be answered over time." This was a hint that Tenzin would like to learn more about the leader, but this wasn't the time or place for a Q&A. "When do I start?"

Yoru searched Tenzins face as he revealed himself, trying to read him, work out what he was thinking. Seeing a quick glance to the left, it was clear he’d heard the rumours. It’s not what Yoru was famed for, The White Eyed Demon of the Leaf though after all it was just a rumour and only a few knew the truth of what was hidden beneath the eye patch.

A smile ran across his face once the young man had finished talking “When do you start? I respect the enthusiasm, but you have to understand, who and what we are.” He said somewhat ominously “This isn’t a side gig, ANBU is who we are our lives before are simply a front, to hide who we truly are. What’s required of us, is often deemed as unsavoury.”

He pondered if someone like Tenzin could truly shift to this new lifestyle, a good man, a good teacher and a good shinobi. Sometimes good could get in the way.

“We are above the idea morality, we protect Konoha, fire country and it’s entire way of life. If needed we’d kill the Hokage if that way of life was threatened, if I endangered it, every single one of my men would kill me in a heartbeat and I’d thank them for it. Do you truly think you have what it takes Teznin? Could you kill the Hokage? Could you kill me? Could you kill one of your students?” he asked slowly and carefully.

“This isn’t a side gig" rang in Tenzin's ear. His posture slightly changed as he leaned in a little bit. The shinobi listened to the man as he went off on the purpose of the Anbu. The young one never considered what it truly meant to be Anbu. The shinobi has spent most of his career teaching and helping out in positive ways. It didn't really settle in his mind that the form of helping the village was vastly different (if not opposite) of how he approached the village.

Tenzin watched his mouth as he began explaining the complexity of the Anbu. He followed along, but to his horror he was asked if he could kill people he didn't know if he could kill. His students??? A slight flinch and clench in his seat. Tenzin tightens up before speaking up. "I don't know. If I'm being honest, that question and those thoughts were never in the realm of my bubble I created by being a professor. I think it wouldn't be believable if I sat here and just simply told you I would. I think a complicated question would require a complicated answer. Killing a student? You? The Hokage? I am not sure." Tenzin softened up and relaxed a little bit. He leaned back in his chair with his arms moved up and folded.

He leaned back a little bit before getting fully into his final thought. "What I do know is that this is my home. I took the professor gig because I knew I could help in training the youth for them to become the future. However, I got lost in that ideology failed to see that I still have a large future in front of me. The Anbu would be an opportunity for me to progress and to instill my will to protect the village. If by working in the shadows and doing whatever means necessary to protect Konoha, than I will have to evolve. This, Sir Yoru, I can do." Yoru would see that the more Tenzin got to the bottom of his answer, the more confident he became. Tenzin had conviction. Having the capability to kill someone is much different than the will too. However, if it justified a means... that could be the ideology the young shinobi could get behind.

Yoru’s lips pursed as Tenzin spoke, he was honest and bold all traits that couldn’t be knocked though not a necessity for the tasks ahead. He was glad that Tenzin however didn’t lie and just gave the answers he’d think Yoru would want to hear, stroking his fingers under his chin he continued to listen once finished The Commander sat in silence, turned his head to the left and seemed transfixed in thought.

The silence seemed to last forever, though in reality it can’t have been longer than a few seconds, but Tenzin’s future was in Yoru’s hands and he had to move forward with this correctly.

Finally, the silence broke “Perhaps my examples were perhaps… a tad extreme, No Hokage, Commander or Student has ever been killed in the history of our organisation but they are steps that we would take it necessary.”

Yoru slowly extended out his hand offering for it to be shook He simply said, if Tenzin were to take his hand the disparity of them to his physical appearance would be obvious. They callous, rough and the hands of a hard-working man. Opposed to his soft, almost effeminate features.

Would Tenzin shake hands with the Devil?

Since becoming a Shinobi, Tenzin has had a rather 'easy' life. He hadn't put himself in too much danger. The way that Tenzin had seen it, this was an opportunity. An opportunity not to just help the Hidden Leaf, but an opportunity to prove his worth. However, there were other ways to prove his shinobi way. He could simply quit the academy and move on to doing missions outside the village, he could join the medical corp, he could join the defensive unit. Yet, this was the path that looking down from Tenzin's eyes, was the path that would mutually progress the young shinobi and the village. He felt that this was the way.

He found the silence odd, but wat he found more odd was when Yoru say that what he had mentioned were a tad bit extremes. Did he go too far? Was he serious and was this a test? Would Tenzin's honesty be seen as a form of naïve? As Tenzin listened, he saw that Yoru put out his hand. This simple action would change the scope of Tenzin's life. This wasn't a simple decision, but it was solidified with a simple action.

The Sensei knew that this was his future, without hesitation he stood up put out his hands as well. When their hands met, Tenzin could almost feel the experience. He could feel the rough and torn hands. He shook with confidence as he looked into Yoru's good eye. What would come next?
