Underground below the living quarters of the Anbu Facility laid a large training facility. It was broken up in multiple sections allowing agents and root operatives to train together but also alone if they so wish. Tenzin made his way to this facility in order to practice some close combat Taijtusu. Throughout his career he has taken notice that he was slacking in that department. So the young man made his way to the section where wooden pillars came from the ground with cylinder shaped pegs coming out from all around the pillars. There were four in total in a horizontal line. He had put a notice to root members to join him if they had the time. For the most part he would be training for himself, but in case anyone needed help along the way, Tenzin was there for the other members.

As he arrived to the pillars, Tenzin placed his bag on the ground. Within the bag he carried a few training scrolls which detailed a couple different combat techniques. Even though it was part of his life as a shinobi, the Jounin wasn't the biggest fan of training. He stretched out his arms and legs to prepare for what was going to be a long day of training.

Training Sesh

As a relatively new recruit into the ROOT program, Takeshi was eager to improve and catch up to his peers, specifically Ibakuro Aiya. It seemed an almost impossible mountain to ascend. The woman’s genes alone granted her accelerated growth, and though she claimed she aged normally now he had seen her grow by nearly a foot in just a few months and her skills likewise had surged in a nearly unprecedented rate of improvement. For only being half Hyuuga, Takeshi had taken to the clan’s techniques remarkably well, in large credit to his mother being a Bannin and working diligently to train him in advanced techniques.

But Takeshi didn’t consider himself a prodigy, not like his brother with elemental ninjutsu. No, instead the young Hyuuga was simply a hard worker who had a family of legends to live up to. Wearing his ROOT attire, he had left his bow and quiver in his assigned room today. Instead, he hoped to improve his close quarters skill with some of the appropriate training dummies in one of the training rooms beneath the living quarters. Repetition of his techniques was key, and he hoped that gradually he could increase his speed, which along with pinpoint precision and chakra control, was an essential part of the Gentle Fist style.

As he entered the room he noticed Tenzin Sensei, the man who had recruited him, beginning to unpack and prepare to train. “Captain Sasaeru” he stood at attention, before bowing respectfully. Within the headquarters any full fledged ANBU member was to be referred to only by their codename. In time the members of the ROOT program would earn their own mask and alias. Until then it was more customary to simply refer to them as a cadet or trainee, though among each other at least they had been known to occasionally slip in their real name though he wouldn’t dare do such a thing in front of a member of ANBU.

Assuming he was allowed to, Takeshi would move the one of the training dummies with various pegs sticking out of it. And then he would settle into his Jyuuken stance, lowering his body in a wide stance with his arms outstretched as he sighted in his target and imagined his circle, and the relevant points around him that would indicate his effective range. His Byakugan activated almost instinctively, and he shot forth with a burst of speed, his arms were a blur and his precise finger strikes sounded like a frenzied woodpecker as he slammed into the post repeatedly, dipping his arms under and over each of the protruding pegs as he struck along where the corresponding chakra points of a real person would be. Of course, he had to make a few slight alterations due to the different size and extra ‘limbs’ of the dummy but it was easy enough to find some sort of suitable equivalent to target. However, it did interrupt his usual rhythm ever so slightly.

He had started with a simple 32 palm to get a feel for the size of the target. But once he had a decent idea he would settle back into his stance and repeat it once again, this time upping his pacing by at least two strikes ahead of his first attempt. That was a good start, but it was still only the basic version. He would need to be able to be much faster and with more complicated patterns. After all, his strikes had to be so overwhelming that it prevented his opponent from making any kind of meaningful counterattack until his maneuver was complete and he could switch to blocking or evading. Gentle Fist, as soft as it sounded was actually a style that required an immense amont of commitment and courage, in order to go all in with their attacks and be able to rely on their traditional style. Against many opponents, shutting down chakra points wasn’t even enough to end the fight, but it was a style that could inflict significant damage to the muscles and organs of an individual in addition to making chakra much more taxing to utilize once struck.

Takeshi wasn’t sure how much the captain would be watching him as he performed, but he would make sure to showcase his proper skill. Moving onto a full 8 Trigrams 64 palm. This sequence was naturally even faster than the 32 palm despite performing more strikes, it was simply inherit to the nature of the sequence that he could dive deeper into himself and let his body act on its own muscle memory, striking with such an overwhelming flurry that each movement seemed to blur into the other until it was only the sounds of fingers against wood that could be heard. And every strike carried a pinpoint burst of chakra that could cause organ failure and severe tissue damage if the target was organic.

The master of this technique then channels chakra into their hands and dashes in to engage with the opponent. Using their calculations and precise strikes, the user will then swiftly perform a combination of blows equalling 32 in number; each blow closing a tenketsu point. This technique causes widespread damage to internal tissues, resulting in a lot of pain and damage to the body; while the closed tenketsu reduces the target’s Control by 3 for 6 posts.

Making her way to the ANBU headquarters, clad in her ROOT attire, the young Ibakuro Aiya was answering an open call from the ROOT Captain - Hatake Tenzin. Aiya had only met the man a couple of times thus far, but she was interested in seeing what kinds of skills and talents the man had in a training session. Not to mention, she was quite sure Takeshi would be there as well - The boy had a lot to learn and a long way to grow, but he seemed very eager to do so. The kind of person to take any and all opportunities to leap forward and be better than he was before. Maybe the two of them could learn from one another even... Aiya wasn't blind to the fact that she too had much to learn. And education could come from anywhere, especially one's comrades.

Making her way into the building and down towards the training facilities, Aiya entered the same room as Tenzin and Takeshi right around the time Takeshi was performing his clan's signature trigram strikes. It was a beauty to behold, the speed and fluidity of the young Hyuuga's movements combined with his precision and accuracy. She'd hate to be on the receiving end of such a barrage. "Hello Captain. I appreciate the invitation to train. And it's nice to see you as well Takeshi. Let's push each other hard today, eh?" Aiya would give the young Hyuuga a small bow of respect, though of course with her height, her bow was still slightly taller than he was standing straight up.

Once finished, she thought of how best to begin her own individual training, to 'warm up' before engaging in any kind of team training exercises. And after a few moments, she came to the conclusion that pushing her own limits of speed might be a good start. And to do so, she was going to fly through as many attacks as she could in a short time... using a different weapon each time. It would be difficult to say the least: she was skilled with each weapon individually, but it was still very different to use each weapon as if they were all a single weapon.

With a poof of smoke, her bow and two arrows would appear in her hands, and without missing a beat each arrow was loosed in rapid succession for a dummy some 15 meters away from her. As soon as the second arrow left her string, another poof of smoke would cause the bow to disappear in another poof of smoke, as she charged forward with her shield and sword, bashing both arrows with her shield mere moments after they dug into the dummy before spinning on her heel and delivering a powerful slash to the dummy's throat. Her shield followed behind the sword as she brought both hands somewhat close together, and as her sword and shield disappeared from sight, her spear was now in it's place. With a cry, Aiya took a step back and let loose a flurry of stabs, loosing stuffing and straw as her spear dug through the cloth of the dummy.

Pulling back and spinning her spear overhead, she aimed to bring the spear down on the dummy's head in a slash, but moments before contact a white poof of smoke appeared as she kai'd her spear away. In it's place now was her large, green glaive, splitting the dummy's head in two and leaving the halves dangling to the side. She'd follow with the downward slash, pointing the back end of the glaive at the dummy before loosing another small series of three stabs into the dummy with it's sharpened tip. With a stunning change of pace, the woman tossed her glaive up high into the air, another poof of smoke emanating from the fuuinjutsu in her palms as she produced her tonfas. Unleashing a barrage of strikes against the dummy as she stepped in close to the dummy, alternating left and right strikes as she battered the broken dummy with their blunt edges. In the midst of the assault, one Tonfa raised up over her head, parrying the falling glaive and pushing it up and behind her as she kicked off of the dummy, putting away both of her tonfas with a poof of white smoke and raising her hand to catch the glaive as it fell a second time.

Another poof of smoke and the glaive too was gone, in it's place now was her trusty staff, and as she approached the dummy her staff twirled with incredible speed and power, the air being pushed aside by it's rapid momentum. A series of strikes would ring out as her staff lashed out against the dummy, hammering arm and leg, the impact of the bulbous metal ends battering the dummy particularly loud as her impressive display continued. She'd land a particularly impressive strike against the dummy's ribs before pushing back a bit, taking a few steps backwards while poofing away her staff and swapping to a large, yellow fuma shuriken - the Raijin no Hoshi. With a vigorous toss the shuriken spun wildly through the air, embedding itself deep in the abdomen of the dummy. And behind the large star of metal, the sudden flex of Aiya's right arm would send forth four thin wires, shining slightly in the overhead light, which quickly wrapped around the dummy and it's supporting wooden column, digging in to the dummy's "flesh" as she pulled tightly.

Her pull would propel her towards the dummy as she leapt into the air, her wires recoiling around her arm as she grew closer and delivered a double-foot kick to the dummy's chest. As she did, her left hand grabbed and removed her star, while her right flexed slightly to release the wires wrapped around the dummy, and with her feet she'd kick herself up into the air, poofing the star away with a white cloud of smoke. As she descended, her next weapon could be seen in hand - a vicious looking scythe, multiple blades protruding from it's shaft. As she descended, she swung down hard with the scythe, the wood supporting the dummy splintering as the hooked blade dug into the back of the dummy's body. Using the support of the column, she'd kick her feet forward towards the wall behind the dummy, poofing the scythe away as she did so and kicking back off of the wall into a backflip while her final weapon appeared in her hands; her bladed tonfas, Shingetsu and Mangetsu.

With a final cry, Aiya would land from her backflip and plant her back foot hard, pushing towards the dummy with two slashes in the shape of an "X" coming down diagonally across what remained of the dummy's shredded corpse. The final slash was so intense that the column behind the dummy was split to pieces, along with the dummy itself, leaving a pile of stuffing, splinters and cloth on the ground. Sweat pouring from Aiya's forehead, she let out a few sighs as her body cooled down from the savage assault, and another poof of white smoke sent her tonfas away...

The entire attack took maybe 30 seconds - given how much she had done, a short time frame for what was no doubt an offense that was lethal several times over.

1,226 / 1,100 for two speed trainings.

Tenzin watched as two of the root members walked into the building. When Takeshi walked in, the silver haired shinobi stopped training and turned over to white eyed root operative. He waved and greeted the young lad with a more formal approach than if they were to be on a mission brief. "Hello Takeshi, nice to see you down here. Hope you and your sister are doing well," he would follow it up with a nod.

Before he could even move his head, the man watched as the young spider queen walked down. When she greeted him, he followed up with another formal greeting as well. "Hello Aiya, glad to see you down here as well". After the greetings and formalities, Tenzin watched the two youths striking on the training dummies.

-------------------------------

After a while he clapped a couple of times and decided that they meant business which was refreshing to see. With an attempt to get their attention Tenzin raised his voice a little bit before announcing "alright you two come here, I have an idea that could help all of us greatly. I have been working on and studying some new techniques. I know you guys are working on getting stronger, so how would you feel about working on dodging my techniques." Tenzin then moved his right hand pointing to the training dummy on the other set of the training grounds. "If you would like to not participate you can observe over there while you train, I won't begrudge you for taking a step back."

With some time given for them to choose and react to his offer, Tenzin would nod and simply say "let us begin then". Followed by those words Tenzin had decided to use some techniques he had been working on with his spare time. These were stepping stones for his Elemental Mastery. The man would focus on his chakra throughout his body. Within a moment, the young man merged his katon with the already flowing chakra. The chakra itself began to focus on his legs than run down to his feet. Instead of weaving hand signs, Tenzin wanted them to experience chakra channeling. If they payed close enough attention they would be able to see the subtle chakra build up. Hopefully they would be capable of reacting properly.

After a few moments when the chakra was fully flowing below his feet, Tenzin lifted his right knee in the air. By lifting his whole leg, the shinobi had his foot off of the ground. With a slight twitch and an even slighter smirk, Tenzin slammed his foot onto the ground. When the foot connected with the ground, fire began to expand from his foot.

Tenzin reduced the speed to 10 and the strength to 5 with his control. The fires expanded sporadically throughout the training ground that they were training on. The jutsu didn't engulf the ground in flames completely, it was more or so random sections of flames throughout the ground in an incomplete pattern. The flames would only go up 2 feet high. How would the shinobi tackle this jutsu? Would they dodge? Try to counter it? The options were endless, Tenzin had hoped that he weakened the jutsu enough so that no serious damage was done, nor to make it impossible to counter.

After either channeling their chakra or weaving hand signs, the user would lift their foot up and slam it on the ground. With katon exploding below their feet, it would expand in a 30m radius around the user. The flames would cover the land in a sporadic pattern, but not cover the entirety of the 30m. It would leave the area with flames for 8 posts before they naturally dissipate, unless diffused by the user or a countered jutsu. The speed of the flames expanding throughout the area and strength of the flames is dictated by the [Control] stat.

Takeshi nodded as Aiya addressed him, “Good to see you as well” he said with a slight smile. The woman was somewhat intimidating, but he did admire her, even if their training with the commander the previous week had had its hurdles. Though he watched in awe at Aiya’s fluid display of taijutsu techniques and her various weapons. If someone had told him about training in so many styles he would have thought they were wasting their time. But it was clear that Aiya had found a way to blend them together in various combinations, the use of Fuuinjutsu allowing her to swap out even in mid attack to create a very dynamic and difficult to counter fighting style. Truly she was a remarkable taijutsu practitioner and an excellent Senpai to look up to.

He gathered in when the captain called them. He was curious what sort of training the man had in mind and truthfully, he had never seen the Jounin in proper combat before, but he knew from his time in the academy and by basic reputation that he was uniquely skilled in that he could utilize each of the 5 elemental affinities. Even his father the Hokage had only mastered 4 elements. Though he had never seen Tenzin perform particularly high-level techniques but he assumed to naturally held back for his demonstrations and lessons. Now that he knew the Sensei was a member of Anbu however, he hoped to one day see his full power and be able to match him.

The young Hyuuga nodded in agreement, “I was hoping to work on getting faster. I’ll participate!” he stated with conviction. He knew it was likely this would be a lot harder for him than Aiya, he had caught glimpses of her strength and speed, and she easily outclassed him but the difference was not so insurmountable that he couldn’t catch up if he trained diligently for the next few months. After all he was the son of two Bannin who were both exceptional physical forces. He knew the kind of potential he had and felt his muscles eager to grow and his reflexes to follow.

When the instruction to begin was given Takeshi would reflexively activate his Byakugan again. He had been slowly improving his ability to keep it activated, though being a branch member and a half-blooded Hyuuga at that it was particularly strenuous and required a great deal of diligence to master. Still, he could see clearly the tenketsu points flowing through both the captain and Aiya, and as Tenzin began channeling chakra he observed the way it flowed through his body and moved into the ground before shifting as its nature changed to an elemental one. His reflexes were sharp and he moved swiftly, tracking the speed the chakra moved and deftly leaping to the right as the flames jutted up behind him. It was clear the man had adjusted the speed to a suitable level for him, coming up at 10 speed while Takeshi dodged with a powerful leap, moving at 12 speed and pushing his body to be as fast as he could manage. He was already warmed up from his Jyuuken practice, his muscles spry and lithe.

But the only way to truly push himself was to feel the fire under his feet, quite literally in this case. He couldn’t afford to watch Aiya and how she responded, though surely evading techniques of this level would be quite easy for her even without the advantage of the Byakugan. Of course, if she appeared to be struggling he could easily give her advance warning of where the fire would emerge. For the meantime however he focused on himself, and devoted a portion of his perception to keep tabs of Tenzin himself in case he were to perform other techniques or attack more directly. After all it was important not to become tunnel visioned as he continued to leap and dash, anticipating where the fire would emerge but also being aware of where fire already existed. The flames were low to the ground and easy to jump over but he was trained to not let his guard down and never assume an attack cant be later controlled. Any portion of fire could be used to produce a new technique, and he couldn’t discount the possibility the man was able to perform pyrokinesis like his older brother Yozei.

In comparison to training with him at various tournaments and back home before he left to the southern regions, this drill was rather rudimentary and still felt a bit like a warm-up to him. If need be Takeshi would even make use of the walls, leaping along them when it seemed he might be backed up and trapped between existing flames, though he was careful not to jump to close to the fires and avoid going directly over them, instead dodging on tight angles between them and constantly moving to areas with more open space.

Aiya gave a small bow to Takeshi, as sweat still slid down her forehead and arms, breathing heavily as she stepped away from the shredded remains of the training dummy. "Haa... Nice to see you as well Tenzin. But I don't think we came here for pleasantries, yeah? How about our captain gives us some training fodder?" The woman chuckled slightly as she wiped her brow and followed along side Takeshi, listening to Tenzin's intended method of training. So, he was going to practice a new jutsu, and they were going to counter it however they wished? Seemed simple enough, though she didn't expect it'd be too rough on her. After all, Takeshi had come far, but she imagined he still had a ways to go, and she couldn't expect that Tenzin would use anything that Takeshi couldn't handle. So it was safe to assume she'd have an edge, which made training a touch more difficult. Somehow, she'd have to make it challenging for herself.

As the man performed his technique though, and the flames began to emerge from the earth beneath them, Aiya had to admit... this was more difficult than she thought. She hopped to the right, but she couldn't really predict where the flames would appear next. It was maddening, even with her superior speed and training, she singed her feet as the next flame popped up underneath her, earning a hiss from the spider girl as she leapt away. "Shit!" The girl exclaimed, clearly having taken on a good deal of her lexicon from her Inuzuka sensei and her crass mouth. How was Takeshi handling this? She looked, and suddenly it dawned on her...

"Ahh... You can see the chakra. Lucky eyes."

The Byakugan was enabling Takeshi to see where the flames would emerge before they did... And Aiya didn't have that luxury. She could ask him to point out areas to avoid, but that wouldn't really prepare her for moments when he wasn't available to her. So how was she to get past this? As she thought on this, a sudden warmth beneath her feet caused her to react with a leap, just as flames burst from the ground beneath her again. "...My eyes aren't going to help here." The girl spoke to herself, before doing something that was probably stupid - She closed her eyes.

Letting out a deep breath, she let her ears hone in on the sounds of flames bursting around her... not close enough. Takeshi's movements made noise, but they were ultimately cast aside as she focused on her other senses. The smell of flames and smoke filled the air, making it difficult to discern distance based on smell alone. But the warmth all around her - that was something she could focus on. It was close, her arms burning ever so slightly due to the temperature of the flames, but nothing truly worrisome. And then, more heat beneath her feet; She'd leap to the side, avoiding another flame from beneath her, and knowing she wasn't going to land near another flame based on the temperature in the area.

That was it then - Takeshi's eyes were his go to for moments like this, and Aiya would have to learn not to rely on her own eyes so much. She had honed senses, and she had to remember that when one wasn't ideal, removing it from the equation might be a better choice. These were the thoughts running through her mind as she continued to weave between the flames, breathing deeply to calm her mind while she used her senses of touch and hearing to navigate the sporadic inferno.

Tenzin watched the two root operatives approach the jutsu differently. He was rather impressed with both of them, although it couldn't really show with his stoic look didn't waiver all too much. With the flames around the area, Tenzin had decided to keep going with the fire type techniques. When the two members were in safe spaced, he decided to move forward. Tenzin shouted to the two "Good job! One more fire type and we will switch it up in order to make sure we don't get too hot."

with the same motion Tenzin went back to focusing on his chakra again. This time the chakra swirling within him rose to his hands, more specifically the fingertips. It didn't take long before the Katon affinity merged with the flowing chakra within him. With the focus being at the user's thumb and middle finger, the channeling of chakra left Tenzin with a ready-to-go jutsu without using the typical hand signs.

When the Anbu Agent felt as though he was ready, there was a slight pause in the air as the already existing flames were built in obstacles. Hopefully the two were ready. Since there was already fire everywhere, he didn't want to make it all too dangerous. After all it was just training. After the slight lull, Tenzin lifted both of his fingers. He snapped his left middle finger and thumb first, followed by his right middle finger and thumb. Two sparks flew at a speed of 7 to be slightly on the outside of the two root operatives. The goal was to have them move closer together. Assuming that the two would reactively move in the opposite direction of the flame explosion which would explode into flames with a strength of 4, Tenzin would throw one directly in the middle with the same stats as well.

All three shots were simple attempts to shoot in their directions. They would hit if the two Root operatives weren't paying attention or jumped in the wrong way. However, Tenzin purposely made sure that the flames would strike a little bit weaker, giving the root members the opportunity to block it if they needed to.

Takeshi observed as Aiya seemed to have some difficulty responding to the flames at first. He supposed he had taken for granted how easy it was for him to anticipate where they would emerge, even if he did have to push himself to his full speed in order to deftly evade and keep moving enough to not get boxed in. Of course, Aiya was his Senpai, and he was confident she would find a way to contend with the flames, she was quite a skilled Chunin after all and a fast learner. He didn’t have the flowing clothes that usually protected his arms somewhat, feeling the heat through the simple black longs leeve shirt he wore and the thicker crop-top worn atop.

Naturally, it felt strange to simply evade. It was a suitable drill, but his training with his parents had conditioned him to always look for ways to counterattack, use ever move as an opportunity to set up an offense. Still, the least he could do was simulate this by intentionally circling the captain, constantly moving for his blind spot and forcing him to actively track him rather than give him a clear target to harass. He too noticed that when he leaped onto the wall the flames did not follow. He tested it again, leaping to the ground and promptly being set upon by flames, then jumping back to the wall. It seemed likely the man’s chakra could only be focused on whatever surface he currently stood on, the ground as it were, meaning the walls and the roof were free for him to roam unless the captain moved and performed the jutsu again or used another technique.

In addition to this, even as he dashed around, feeling his heartrate pick up and his body begin to flush with warmth, his mind was still racing. He was simulating potential counter attacks should this be permitted to be a proper spar. The fire he could use against the man with the use of his Fuuton techniques and if he had his bow with him, he could make use of the range to try to drive the man into his own flames and cut off his routes of escape. Even with just the kunai and shuriken he carried the young Hyuuga was adept at combination attacks.

In fact, if anything Takeshi was feeling annoyed at how easy the exercise was. It seemed Tenzin was underestimating them, clearly, he was much softer in his training methods compared to the Commander who had no reservations about stabbing and injuring the group of teenage ROOT members. Between the last training session and this one Takeshi had undergone his first mission, a solo task where he had traveled to the Lightning Empire and engaged in combat with his life on the line. Compared to fighting to the death one on one, nobody to rely on but himself and even coming within a split second of death, this training exercise felt like a childhood game, a playground. He circled back around, leaping off the wall and landing in an open space next to Aiya, staring down at the Captain, his bulging eyes defiant and intense as he kept ready, knees bent slightly and legs fairly wide. At the obviously telegraphed attacks and the relatively dense chakra within the small sparks he could surmise that they would detonate though he wasn’t sure the size of the radius, leaping a good deal away from the first one that was headed toward him. Then gauging the 5 meters, he noted the one next to Aiya did the same, and lastly the man sent one straight down the middle.

Rather than dodge this time Takeshi simply formed a brief set of hand seals, creating a 5 meter wide, 15 meter long wind tunnel that formed at 20 Speed and sucked the flames in with 10 Strength, intercepting the spark and sucking up the explosion as it detonated. Similarly, many of the other fires in the area would be pulled into the wind tunnel, creating a vortex of fire headed straight back at Tenzen and extending all the way to the back wall. “Too easy captain. We’re not little kids” he stated firmly, making it clear that he wasn’t going to just play around and run around at his whims all day. If he wanted them to take the training seriously then it would work both ways. After all there was no point training techniques with no resistance or anyone to challenge you, and similarly it would be poor form to learn only how to evade and not to consider counter-attacking. “Wouldn’t you say Aiya? Don’t you want to be really challenged?” he turned his attention to the 15-year-old who towered over him, surely this was even more boring for her than him. Of course, now that there were fires everywhere the training environment would get quite hot indeed. Perhaps he would work on honing his endurance or adapting to find better solutions to deal with a changing environment. Though he also knew Tenzen could use Suiton and even he needed to be able to breath. The air was already getting heavy as oxygen was burned away.

The time was nigh. Actually, he was late. Very late. The Captain of the Root division had suggested a time of arrival to make the most of the training session. Noeru however, got the note late due to being out on a mission and returning only a few moments beforehand. He dashed through the ANBU facility - by now he knew very well the layout of the entire base, above ground and below ground. This time he was heading to the big trainign grounds located near the very bottom of the whole facility. It was truly impressive how big this place was, no one could have even imagined the sheer size of it, especially from the outside, it was as if it covered half the village underground. Not knowing the layout could drive a person suicidal, and he was glad that he was a quick learner. Not needing to go over something more than once to remember it, he managed to remember the lot by simply playing attention the first time he had gone around the facility.

As he was getting closer and closer, the temperature began to rise and perspiration began to penetrate his skin, forming a thin layer of moisture on his forehead. He began to wonder what the reason for this heat was. He did not remember it being this hot last time he came down here. Something was definitely causing this heat. But he had not time to figure it out, he was late for his training session with the Root division of ANBU. This was more important, and everyone else in the facility must have been aware of this already.

The strange thing was, the heat intensified the closer he got to the agreed location for the training. It was beginning to come across as a little odd. He knew he was going to be training with others but surely they were not creating so much heat from taijutsu training... And surely they were not using fire based techniques under ground. Mysterious this was, and the youths interest grew larger as he ran towards the agreed location. He paid attention to his breathing, he did not want to lose any vital stamina. This was going to hurt, one from being already tired from his mission, but also because he was about to face someone he knew nothing about. Hopefully the squad had already put the man through his paces, they were no push overs after all.

Finally he approached the agreed location. It was obvious that the heat was coming from that training room. What ever was behind that door was not going to be easy, and Noeru prepared himself. He took a deep breath, and twisted the handle. Flames gashed out of the room and he had to step to the side and behind the door in order to avoid them. The people inside must have been slowly running out of oxygen, the flames were intense. A moment later once the flames have calmed down, he looked inside and quickly dashed in. His sword in hand he scouted the room for his squaddies and their captain. This was going to be an interesting experience. When he made his way down here, he was not expecting to be fighting inside a fire resistant room, full of flames. in the distance he saw Takeshi and Aiya, and he decided to approach cautiously. There was no need to rush, but he was probably going to become to focus point of Senpai considering how late he was, internally he had his fingers crossed that this would not be the case. Fire was not something he was overly keen on. And so he crouched down and looked ahead at the situation. He first had to figure out what was going on and what the challenge was before he could become an effective member of the situation. Obviously their senpai was creating adverse conditions to see how they would fare in them. It was really interesting, Noeru had never fought a strong fire user before. And fire was not a good element to fight for a Mokuton user. They were not exactly compatible, and Mokuton was at a bit of a disadvantage. Noeru would have to concentrate on using his other skills to make himself useful in this bout. But he was not going to jump to conclusions before hand, he had just got here and being hasty was only the best for getting hurt. He stood up, paying close attenttion to his breathing, in this situation he had to as he did not want to use the oxygen they were all in need of so desperately. He began to wonder over to Takeshi, his Ninjato in hand ready to fight. He was excited, but he knew that letting this excitement out was not the way to do things when facing strong opponents, and so he remained calm.

Aiya continued to leap and dive back and forth, carefully and cautiously avoiding both the flames as they arose and Takeshi's movements so as not to crash into her ally and get them both burned. The sudden sound of a 'SNAP' briefly caused her to open her eyes though, and as she saw what Tenzin was doing, she turned to her right just in time to see the spark forming near her. "Shit!" The woman exclaimed again, quickly jumping to the left, away from the spark and towards Takeshi. So that was Tenzen's plan... funnel them together and get them both at once. It seemed Takeshi was preparing a means of defending against the jutsu, but she had no way of telling if it would protect her as well. Well, it was a chance for her to try her next technique at least.

Forming a brief series of hand seals as the spark formed, Aiya would funnel this chakra into the earth beneath her feet, quickly forming a pillar of stone underneath her feet. The pillar emerged at an angle, pushing her back swiftly towards the entrance of the training room and away from Takeshi by about 10 meters... Landing right next to Noeru without even realizing it. That is, until the smell of wood made it's way to her nostrils and she turned to notice the young Senju. "Ah. Welcome to the party, Noeru!" She smiled at the young boy before turning her attention back to Tenzen, eager to see his next move.

It was no surprise to Tenzin that the Root Operatives were more than capable of evading or defending the nerfed jutsu he had launched at them. The true surprise was the counter attack that was sent his way. What a great way to send what Tenzin was creating back at him. It caused an tick in Tenzin, a reaction so to say. The shinobi began to feel some adrenaline rush through his body in a way that excited him. If he had been in the phycological breakdown of each member, he might have had a better idea of what each shinobi would do in these situations. Another thing for the man to learn.

When Tenzin watched the boy weave hand signs he knew that Takeshi was going to release something, what he didn't expect was a jutsu sent back at him. With haste, Tenzin flowed chakra within his body and as he watched the jutsu swirl, the fire started to come with it. A natural elemental reaction of wind and fire. For a young lad that was some quick thinking. He had plans to put the fire out, however with the swirling of the wind, at most he would have to disrupt the wind as a whole. It took a short time for the chakra to be completely enveloped on the user's back. With the speed of the tornado like technique, Tenzin jumped backwards while weaving his hand seals. The chakra dispersed from his back like spores and expelled wind forward. A large gust of wind would take up the room and shoot forward. As if winds pass the user pushing everything in front of him forward. The gust of wind would make its way towards the tornado at a speed of 25 with a strength of 20 in an attempt to disrupt it's flow and stop its movement. If it was successful, Tenzin would keep moving backwards in hopes that the flames wouldn't fly too far forward and hit him. He imagined it would be a residual effect of stopping the moving wind that was coming right towards him.

[350/300]

From what he could tell, also the comment from Takeshi enforced this, the Captain was going rather easy on them. This was a "flaw" drilled in him from his academy days. Going a little easier on the youth was where Tenzin had caused some issues in the past with training. With the few test jutsus being successfully evaded, Tenzin had a slight smirk on his face. "Welcome Noeru"

The young shinobi was focusing his chakra again but this time, the chakra was flowing throughout his body and beginning to be focused close to his shoulders. Tenzin could feel the heat of the flames increase, along with the oxygen starting to get rather thin. He had to extinguish them in order to even continue the training. Since this was going to require suiton, the Anbu Captain decided to practice a couple of suiton techniques. The shinobi had a plan to master all of the elements to its fullest so he would need to get in as much as he can with his living moving training vessels.

When Tenzin had felt the chakra was correctly flowing to his shoulders, the shinobi began to weave a few hand seals. During this he spoke out to Takeshi, then broadened it to the group as a whole "You are right Hyuuga, I have been going easier on you two. Since you have proved I can't do that, I will have to make things more difficult." With that in mind, Tenzin released the jutsu. The chakra from his shoulders melded with the Suiton nature and lifted into the air. Within the ceiling a slight and thin layer of a cloud appeared. It only took a few moments for the cloud to release rain throughout the training grounds. In a normal instance this would last for a while (10 posts), but for the sake of not causing a flood, the shinobi only released enough chakra to last for a little bit (two posts).
(328/300)

Tenzin looked at all three of the root operatives, he had hoped that this jutsu would put them slightly on edge. It was a non-lethal jutsu, in fact the way Tenzin had released it, the suiton jutsu would appear borderline useless falling at a strength of 1. Simply just rain. However, Tenzin wasn't done quite yet. If anything the shinobi used this as a distraction. He had hoped that even for a split second the young ones would look up to see what was going on. With the rain extinguishing the flames, the Anbu Captain started to focus his chakra yet again. He knew as a whole, there would be a limit to what he could do. However, the shinobi didn't feel fully extended and could keep going.

With the flowing chakra throughout his body, he continued to focus on merging it with the suiton chakra nature. When completed, he swiftly focused it to his hands. This time he would have weaved hand signs again. When the final seal was completed, Tenzin put both of his hands up. Putting both of his hands into a finger gun motion he started to aim at the Root Operatives. With the slight taunt, Tenzin was excited to try a little harder to push them to their limit. With a quick motion. Tenzin would aim his left hand at Takeshi and quickly fire off two shots at the boy. One shot would be aimed at his shin with a speed and strength of 15. Within a moment he would lift his finger up slightly and shoot at Takeshi's gut at a speed of 12 with a strength of 15. With his right hand, Tenzin would shoot two right in a row at Aiya with a speed and strength of 20. One shot would be sent to her left side of her stomach, where the second shot would go for her right arm.

In another few seconds, Tenzin would swing his left hand to meet his right. Since Aiya would be near Noeru, he would be the final target. In what would seem as the same instance, Tenzin would fire off another two shots. With the pre-screening's Tenzin had an idea of what each shinobi was capable of. With reports of what they have been training and their progress, he also had an idea of where they were. With that in mind Tenzin took aim of the first shot going to Noeru's right arm and left chest. Sending the shots at a speed of 26 with a strength of 10.

How would these shinobi react to some rapid fire?

Takeshi braced as Tenzin responded with his own Fuuton technique. His wind tunnel was disrupted but flames roared with even greater life, climbing up the walls and creating plumes in the air as they were carried by the wind currents. Even still, the several meter tall jets of flame rose up from the ground in sporadic patterns. Sweat dripped down the young Hyuuga’s forehead. The situation was quickly becoming dire, his breathing already strained as the air grew thinner. His mind raced, he was sure he could utilize Fuuton to oxygenate his lungs, though such a thing could be quite dangerous to practice given Fuuton’s normally cutting nature. Though he already knew how to create wind that didn’t cut and he knew his father had developed at least a few techniques that focused on oxygen manipulation.

It was worth a try at least. Though he had to keep an eye on his surroundings while he did so, using his Byakugan to watch as Aiya rode her doton pillar back to the entrance where Noeru showed up. Takeshi spared a glance back to his comrade, nodding as he still held his arms up in front of his face to guard against the raging heat. He had found himself rather trapped, surrounded in fire and with nowhere to go. Perhaps oxygen was the least of his concerns or at least only the first step. Keeping calm he slowed his breathing, keeping vigilant of the man opposed to him. He had asked for more of a challenge, and it was entirely possible the man would leave him to suffer the consequences of his ego. The truth was that even if the fires weren’t immediately dangerous due to their initially manageable speed and relatively low burning temperatures, now they had consumed the majority of the room and the consequences were being felt.

Holding his breath he flowed chakra into his chest, manipulating a small amount to produce raw air without cutting ability, then adjusting as he transformed the nature of his chakra he attempted to prevent any actual movement or wind. This resulted in a miniscule amount of raw oxygen being created. He had been cautious at first, hardly using any chakra at all. But it had worked, he felt his lungs expand and some relief as oxygen flowed into his bloodstream. Another small flow of chakra, slightly more than before and he adjusted to the feeling, able to periodically apply the minuscule amount of chakra.

Fuuton • Deep Breath
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Through much dedication and chakra control Takeshi has learned to channel Fuuton chakra into his lungs, supplying raw oxygen without the typical properties of Fuuton. This effectively allows him to breathe without needing to inhale or exhale, making it an incredibly useful technique for stealth purposes. This technique can be maintained for a maximum of Chakra Pool/2 posts before needing to breathe normally again.
That was the first problem solved. The next was dealing with the flames and the heat in some way. Ordinarily he defended using his rotation technique or with Fuuton. But in this case doing so would only continue to spread the flames and put both himself and his allies in danger. Now that Noeru was here one might naturally assume the Senju would be capable of Suiton and be able to put out the flames, though from what Takeshi had observed his Senpai from the Senju clan was adept in Mokuton and hadn’t yet delved into the components that made up its style. Aiya, as he had just learned utilized Doton, which could possibly smother the flames but it wasn’t the most reliable method and now wasn’t the best time to count on her being able to think of something on the fly.

The last option was to rely on their Captain to put out the flames, the most likely scenario but after having a recent brush wih death, Takeshi was firmly in a survival mindset. He was taking his training very seriously and in this scenario the Captain was their enemy. He was the last person he wanted to have to count on to save them. Therefore, he would have to figure out something to at least survive a little longer. Natrually, as a Hyuuga his chakra control was exceptional, and he was already well versed in being able to manipulate raw chakra across each of his tenketsu points. This level of training and precision was what tended to give him the edge in combat and so too allow him to adapt quickly to new scenario’s and develop his raw chakra manipulation as was needed. The words, ‘Adapt and Survive’ rang through his head, lessons his father had drilled into him countless times. ‘Calm, focused. Let my chakra flow freely’ he reminded himself, still able to breathe easily through the oxygen flowing through his lungs.

Instantly chakra poured out of every one of his tenketsu points simultaneously, becoming visible as the blue energy smoothed and was shaped to cover his body. He moved into a Jyuuken stance, the most natural and familiar position to maniupulate his chakra in such a way. This was precisely the same build up to his heavenly rotation technique, though instead of spreading the chakra out around him in a sphere, he would aim to keep it close to his body, forming a protective layer and keeping it bound to him. Noeru’s mokuton armor had been a key component to passing their trials against the commander in their first training session. Now he would need to form his own version of armor, though wind was not well suited to the task, especially not in the current situation and so he would stick to what he knew best: Raw chakra manipulation. It was a simple idea and yet very practical. While raw ninpou had no distinct advantages neither did it have any weakness to any elemental affinity. It was a perfectly neutral defense that would serve Takeshi quite well in the years to come, he was certain.

It would be even more valuable if he could learn to flow and shape the chakra over others as Noeru had done, providing additional support. And with his level of chakra control and proficiency, especially in creating stable vectors of chakra away from his body, he was sure that with a little practice he could replicate the barrier for others as well. Though no sooner had the chakra begun to stabalize around him did the rain begin to pour. There was a moment of relief, of knowing that his comrades would be safe and that his arrogance wouldn’t cost them too badly. But then came his suspicion. Being the son of two Bannin he was used to being trained by the elite and part of that came the wariness of expecting any attack to be potentially deadly, no matter how innocuous it at first seemed. It was entirely possibly, even probable that the rain was simply that, just a means to extinguish the fires. But so too was it possible that it was a set up for something else, some form of Kinesis or a means of binding or setting up the field for further suiton ninjutsu.

It was therefore just as imperative that he maintain the chakra aura as it was when he was being encroached upon by flames. It would still take some time for the flames to be extinguished but the rains were widespread and coming down quickly, even if they didn’t have any notable physical impact. As soon as a path was clear, Takeshi would leap through the dwindling flames, focusing a small bit of chakra to his feet as he ran over the growing puddles to regroup with his teammates. After all, despite his attack on their captain, the training exercise was primarily one of survival skills and evasion. At least that is what he had surmised.

The user channels chakra, flowing it in a thin layer across their body, including their hands and head. This amor has a strength of [Control] and forms instantly. This aura of chakra can also be formed on others, though only one person per cast, so long as they are within 25 meters of the user. This layer of chakra does not impede movement, normal bodily functions, or the ability to perform hand seals in any way.
Takeshi’s Byakugan deactivated as he returned to his allies. He needed some time to rest his eyes, It was still a skill he was struggling with despite his high level of control. “Good to see you Noeru. Aiya, sorry about the wind. I’ll be more careful from here out” he apologized, taking accountability for his part in spreading the flames and spurring their instructor to meet his technique with another like it. “Survival and Evasion drills” he filled in his teammate who had arrived late. The rain poured over his layer of chakra, keeping a physical barrier between his skin and even his hair. He couldn’t feel the refreshing liquid but there was still a distinct change in temperature in the room as the flames were replaced with water. Truly, it was impressive being able to wield multiple elements and be able to completely alter the conditions of the environment. In a way it reminded him of sparring with his father, though the Hokage was much more known for his large scale Doton techniques and rivers of water rather than rain. But the fire, that much felt familiar. After all both of his parents, his aunt Ayame and older brother Yozei were all proficient Katon users. It seemed a prominent trait of the Natsuki family, even if it wasn’t what his father started off with.

The young Hyuuga hoped to one day hone his chakra manipulation to such an extent that he could change his nature to an additional element, though he had no idea what he would pursue. One had a natural affinity and from there could choose their own elements with varying degrees of difficulty. For him Katon and Raiton would likely be the most difficult as they were strong and weak to Fuuton respectively which would interfere with the natural flow of his chakra when manifesting such elements. But whatever the case, he hoped sparring with the captain would help him learn which was most complimentary to his style and which element was most difficult for him to fight against. Learning those things would help him hone his control in the right direction.

Taking point, the young Hyuuga moved up the middle by a few meters, perhaps it was ambitious, but he truly was eager to test himself and improve. He knew the others were stronger than him but the last thing he wanted was to be coddled and protected. If he was treated as an equal, he would become one. At least that is what he believed and how he would carry himself. The first shot came in quick, faster than he anticipated. He had expected it to come at his chest and was readying to move into a rotation when it struck his shin. It was possible he could have moved at the last second to barely avoid it but he was curious to test how his chakra armor would hold up. And hold up it did. The entire layer of chakra rippled and shimmered as the impact of the water bullet dispersed across it, stressing it nearly to the point of breaking but it seemed just the smallest bit shy of being able to shatter it. Though it wouldn’t be able to take much more. That was good to know at least. The captain clearly had found the sweet spot of what Takeshi could handle while still pushing him. The young Hyuuga’s expression brimmed with determination and he spun into a rotation as the next projectile sped toward him. This one was more easily deflected, but only slightly. It was a little slower than the first, giving him enough time to get into his spin. And he wasn’t sure if it was weaker or not but it still impacted hard against the shell of chakra but didn’t seem to disrupt it as much as his armor. Perhaps it was simply because he was more proficient with his rotation technique considering the years of practice. Or perhaps even in just the span of a minute he was already pushing himself to reach new heights.

Aiya held a hand over her mouth and struggled to breath for a moment as the heat and smoke of the flames filled the room, the whirlwinds created by both Tenzin and Takeshi quite literally fanning them to new heights. She had to admit though, Takeshi's ingenuity and skill was truly impressive. She might have reached chuunin before him, but she had no doubt that the boy could absolutely give her a run for her money with just a bit more training. "Ha, it's fine Takeshi. I'll be alright, worry about Tenzin. And Noeru, fit yourself in however you can. Be ready for anything, Tenzin is an elemental master."

As if on queue, their sensei generated suiton as his next offense, first creating a light rain to wash away the flames and give them some literal breathing room. Next was far more dangerous though, as the man took to firing off concentrated blasts of water at the trio like arrows from his fingertip. Her teacher was intent on using elements to take them out - perhaps an element of her own would help? Performing a series of hand seals, her thoughts fell to the ground beneath her feet... And an idea filled her mind. The concept was simple of course, so the execution should be the same. As the two bullets of water flew towards her, Takeshi and Noeru would see as both shots landed hard on Aiya's body, literally slicing through her. A second later though, her body would darken and reveal the truth of her defense.

In her place was an image of herself, carved from the dark brown stone beneath the ANBU headquarters. Aiya was nowhere to be found.

Aiya will gather her chakra, releasing it into the ground beneath her feet in search for a large chunk of rock or stone. She will then substitute her own body for a rock in the earth, leaving behind an stone image of herself that retains [Control] Strength. This also places her underground, allowing her to slip away through burrowing techniques or prepare an ambush. This jutsu consumes one of Aiya's two teleports for the thread.

Deep underground now, the young Aiya was safe from all harm, and now was her time to counter against their sensei. She had submerged herself, leaving an after image behind, but she hadn't used the Mole Hiding technique - Burrowing wouldn't be possible without it. So, the logical conclusion was simple; she needed to develop a jutsu allowing her to move the earth aside and make her way towards where Tenzin was standing. So, by funneling chakra into her hands, she took a deep breath of what little oxygen was underground with her and focused on the earth around her. By holding her hand out towards the earth in front of her, the dirt seemed to adhere to her hand and compact itself, allowing her to simply move the earth from in front of her.

And move it she did, shuffling it behind her as she almost 'swam' through the earth. She knew where Tenzin was standing, and her sense of touch allowed her to understand Takeshi's location as he rotated overhead. So it was time for a little trickery... As she swam through the earth to position herself under Tenzin's location, she would focus on the pillar technique she had cast earlier. And above ground, both Takeshi and Noeru would watch as a pillar of stone emerged from the ground beneath Tenzin's feet, moving with 10 speed and 10 strength. Whether he dodged or not, she'd feel him move and know his location well enough - Swimming straight up now, she'd slip into the very pillar she had created and burst out of it in Tenzin's direction, Kai'ing her Tonfas into her hands as she lunged from the earth with both hands extended, aiming to drill her Tonfas into Tenzin's chest with 20 strength.

She can burrow in this way if the earth in question is either normal, or infused with her chakra in some way through other jutsu.

Spiders must rely on their ability to feel their web twitch with their legs to know when something has entered their web. Knowing this, Aiya has honed her sense of touch to the level of the spider. By feeling vibrations within something she is touching, she can pinpoint the location of any vibrations made within 20 meters of her. Vibrations are created when something touches the surface in question, so things such as walking along the ground or tapping on a wall she is touching will let her know exactly where the vibration came from. She can also discern the general size of the thing creating the vibrations, letting her differentiate smaller things like projectiles or debris from larger things like people or boulders. In general, the weight of a thing increases the intensity of the vibrations it creates.

Noeru remained at the entrance and witnessed as the events unfolded before him. From the get-go, the hearing he had developed during his time away began to fine tune itself to be able to perform at the same high level as before. Concentrating on the movements of all sorts in the training arena, his ears were becoming sonar like. Detecting the tiniest of vibrations, one bouncing of another - creating a very accurate mental image of the site. Scorching heat had penetrated his skin, his lungs, and soon perspiration accumulated on his skin within mere moments of entering the room. Quickly decreasing level of oxygen were quickly beginning to take a toll on his breathing. This was the first time meeting the captain, and already Noeru was is awe of the mans skill. A tempest of fire in such a small room, he was dangerous on multiple levels. His heightened sense of hearing would prove itself useful against their opponent, at least that's what he hoped for.

Aiya was propelled towards the entrance and landed a few away from him. Noerus gaze shifted towards her and he smiled as she spoke to him. 'It's one hell of a party.' The youth replied back to her before his gaze shifted over to the young Hyuuga, stood a few paces away from the two. Witnessing his nod, a smile appeared on his face once more and he returned the nod. Noeru was curious what the youth would do in the troublesome situation he was in. Experiencing the rapid heart rate within Takeshis body, Noeru knew their comrade was in a tricky situation. Until he fully understood the situation, Noeru would remain where he was. Acknowledging as assessing the situation to the best of his ability.

Watching Takeshi in that situation was interesting. Remaining calm and focussed, it appeared the youth was doing very little at first. But soon, an aura of chakra had manifested itself around him, coating his body with a valuable layer of protection from the heat. The smile that was already on Noerus face could only grow wider as he witnessed this happen. The youth was a quick learner - it has only been a few days since the initial bout with the ANBU commander, and he had already conjured up his very own version of armour - one that was even greater than Noerus.

Noeru remained focussed on the youths breathing pattern and his heart rate, the latter seemed to have dropped by a great amount but Noeru did not fully understand the breathing situation - it appeared that air only seemed to be moving out of his lungs. Expression on his face became a little off, confusion swarmed across his as he tried to figure out how this was taking place, and made a mental note to ask Takeshi once they were in the clear. A moment later, they youth leaped through the flames to meet them at the entrance.

From the distance between them, Noeru could clearly hear their captain welcoming him to the training grounds. 'Thank you Captain. I apologise for being late.' Noeru said loud enough for his voice to carry through the blast of pressurised air in the room and hopefully reach Tensin who was stood a good distance away. A moment after Noeru spoke the air was filled with water in the form of rain, quickly putting out the fire which was quickly drawing oxygen out of the room. It was definitely a sign of mercy on the captains side, Noeru was glad.

'Good to see you too Takeshi. I love your armour.' Noeru said with a smile as he eyed the aura so dense it did not allow water to pass through. Time for chit-chat was over sooner than Noeru would have liked, the vibrations coming from the movements of the Captains hands put him on alert and his gaze shifted to him. Simultaneously his hand moved to his kunai holster as he watched the hand seals unravel before him. And simultaneously, Noeru listened to Aiya as she gave out instruction and passed on a piece of information about their opponent.

'That's impressive... Has he used Raiton and Doton yet? And roger that.'

As Tenzin held up his hand in a finger gun like fashion, Noeru withdrew three kunai and held them in his hands as he performed hand seals himself. He was not sure what their captain was planning, but Noeru had to prepare himself to be able to land an effective counter attack against the Jounin. The youth did not have to wait long to find out what the man was preparing. Hand was in finger gun formation pointing at Takeshi, this reminded Noeru of a technique he had learnt a while ago, however his own was different, firing splinters instead of water bullets. The technique he was about to use was different, and offered more versatility than his finger-gun. It involved good chakra control and precision, but in some occasion would offer a great advantage if the right precautions took place.

As the chakra pumped through his body, he concentrated it in his hands, coating his knives in chakra as he prepared to counter move and counter the technique. But there appeared to be no time for such things. The two bullets were heading directly for him, and so all he could do in the current situation is to bring the knives up as quickly as he could, and send them flying towards the bullets which were headed for him. Two of the knives were sent flying along the same trajectory as the bullets, causing them to crash into one another - the chakra coating around them seemed to offer more power than the bullets, allowing them to pass through and continue moving at reduced speeds due to the impact. The third kunai however continued to fly through the air at full speeds heading for Tenzins right hip. The coating offered the kunai speed and strength which would allow it to fly through the rain with almost no change in its trajectory or loss of power, or speed.

After sending his Kunai heading towards Tenzin, Noeru had realized that Aiyas body seems to have turned to stone, or rather it did not give of any kinda of sounds, there was no heart beat. His gaze shifter over to her as she remained in a crouched position, but it was not here, now he could see that her body was substituted with a rock of her identical to her body. A smile appeared on his face once more as he realised that his comrades have been creating some awesome jutsu. But now it was time to focus on the battle at hand once again.

His ears perked up as he scanned the field for Aiya, while keeping an eye on Tenzin. Very fine vibrations eventually made their way to Noerus ear drum, and he realized where they were coming from. It was time to offer some support to Aiya, but first Noeru would see how Tenzin reacted to the the darting kunai.

The shinobi kept an eye on the Root operatives and how they responded to his tactic. The first person he shot at was Takeshi, the boy utilized his control over his own tenketsu and created a layer of chakra to defend himself from the shots. An interesting tactic to Tenzin, he would have to increase the output on his jutsu with him. The next shot flied at Aiya. What was perceived as a direct hit left the visual of the girl to dissipate to a simple rock. Where did she go? Was she capable of the mole technique?? That left the last couple shots at Noeru. His response was interesting as well. The straight counter of throwing kunai through his shots and continue them towards him was something Tenzin couldn't fully avoid.

Due to the circumstances; one on the lookout, one hidden, and one sending kunai in his direction, Tenzin had to quickly focus on his chakra. In order to properly perform the next couple of jutsu, he had to make sure that his chakra control was perfect. Performing a jutsu only read about and not fully practiced was tricky, but he has utlized his skill and knowledge to disappoint those odds. With chakra swirling within him, the user quickly moved his right hand and left hand. While releasing the jutsu, Tenzin laid down in attempt to avoid the kunai. As the Kunai got closer, a couple puffs of smoke appeared around him. Two clones puffed out, one was standing in the way only to be used as a shield, while the other laid with him. The clone would take any direct hits, while Tenzin and the other clone were in a tiger like position on all 4's holding their muscles in a tense way to continue their movement quickly.

*[Ninjutsu • Shadow Clone Technique]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user proceeds to create a number of clones of themselves (maximum is equal to 1/3rd the users Chakra Pool). Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own, be given complex commands, caught in genjutsu, and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for Chakra Pool, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect.
The clone that was standing up barely had its cloud dissipate before it was hit with the a kunai. Crouched down within the puff of minor smoke before it was clear a clone was around, Tenzin decided he needed to leave that spot. He had no clue where Aiya was, but based on the actions of the Root Operatives, he knew that a counter would come within seconds.

He continued to flow his chakra in order to get himself far from the distance. As a whole, Tenzin wanted to increase the gap of space in hope that he could release another jutsu. The chakra raged through his feet, this one in particular he had seen Takeo, the Lord Hokage use it a long time ago. While his hands were on the ground in the tiger-like position he was in, he could feel the ground around him start to shake slightly. Could this be the Aiya? It was without a doubt the solidifying instinct he had to get out of that spot.

As the vibrations got to me more apparent, Tenzin focused the chakra through his feet and pushed forward. As it happened he lifted his body only slightly. In a flicker type motion, Tenzin moved himself straight forward to the other side of the training grounds. The flickering of his body would appear on the opposite side of where he was. This left the shinobi a safe distance away from not only where he last was, but from the Root Operatives as well. If he was in the back left of the training grounds, Neoru and Takeshi would be in the top right. By placing himself in the top right, Tenzin had distanced himself to perform a counter jutsu on the young ones. Hopefully Aiya wouldn't realize until it was too late that her attack would destroy a clone.

*[Ninjutsu • Body Flicker Technique]
A-Ranked Nintaijutsu
After channeling chakra into their body, the user enhances their movement to attack or retreat suddenly, the ninja almost instantly moves up to 65 meters on the ground in a single straight direction. While doing this, the ninja cannot move through anything or anyone, nor can they supplement it with an attack of any kind. After the quick movement has stopped, there is a brief pause where the user must recover from the movement. Even though it's not a full teleportation, this jutsu uses up one of the 2 teleportations a character can use in a single thread.
When Tenzin landed in what he perceived as a safe zone, he landed on his feet and stood upright. What he didn't realize was that there was a moment of adjustment after the technique had been completed. The Anbu Captain was impressed with his Root Operatives. Between defending, evading, and countering they al were exceling. However, the shinobi wanted to test how they would adapt. The shinobi's first order of business was to protect himself. Then he wanted to adjust the terrain more to make the conditions more difficult. While the sudden moment of adapting to the flicker technique, he looked up at the rain. He performed the jutsu in a way that would stop after a short while. Tenzin knew it was time to continue the trend of changing the terrain.

Channeled chakra molded with the Doton Affinity. It focused quickly and sharply to his feet once again. Within a moment, Tenzin lifted up his right foot and stomped it on the ground. He dug his feet into the earth and expelled his chakra throughout the training grounds. The chakra combined with doton and the earth below him started to make the area tremble in a way. Some parts of the earth would crack, some would grow, and overall if anything changed it would be more of a displacement. The result would be similar to the fire technique he used earlier in the fight. What some of them might notice is that the ground below them would be riddled with Tenzin's chakra. This was a technique to be utilized for the future goal that the Anbu Captain had made for himself. With the earth below everyone slightly changed, Tenzin decided to continue moving with some counter attacks himself. He knew that although they were younger, they were more than capable to tackle his attacks.

Doton • Earthly Stomp
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals or channeling the chakra properly the user will stomp their foot onto the earth they are standing on. The chakra would flow through up to 30m radius around the user. By doing this, the user infuses their chakra with doton to have control over the ground. The residual effect of doing this causes minor changes to the terrain below the user. The speed of the jutsu is dictated by the [Control] Stat. The chakra lingers within the earth for 10 posts.
After the stomp, Tenzin knew that he would most likely have to prepare himself for an attack. What he thought would be a good way to counter them, he had decided that maybe for this instance, it was better to prepare for combat and get himself up close and personal. Since Tenzin was near the wall, he had decided to place a small sense of urgency with the young ones.

With the rain dissipating and the clouds starting to clear up inside the training room, Tenzin thought it would be time to see how they reacted to raiton. He had two jutsu in mind to use against them. As he was channeling his chakra, he thought that maybe it would be time to speak up to the three Root Operatives. They had more than enough potential to be great Anbu Agents. In fact, if they worked on their teamwork a little bit more, they could be a deadly trio. Maybe it was time they went on a mission on their own to test their true capabilities.

Those thoughts were fleeting as the shinobi spoke up. "You have impressed me, I will no longer make things easy." Tenzin hadn't often been in training situations where he would have to teeter the line of attacking an enemy and sparing with comrades. Usually he was training younger shinobi that would need a handicap. This was not the case. After he spoke the chakra within him mixed the the raiton affinity. With a rush of chakra to his hands he placed his right hand to the wall that his back was to. The raiton connected to the wall and with a speed of 45 the walls were shrouded with electricity. If anyone was to touch the walls, it would result in getting electrocuted at a strength of 30.

After perfoming the proper hand signs or channeling chakra, the user places their hand on a surface. Within a 30m coverage, the raiton surges from the user's hand and covers that surface. Any where from a room, to a large wall, ceiling, ground, etc. The covering of raiton forms at a speed equal to the user's [Control] stat]. The strength of the electricity throughout the surface is dictated by the [Control] stat as well. This shroud of electricity lasts for 10 posts unless dissipated by the user.
As the wall was being covered in raiton, Tenzin started to take a few steps forward. He had a technique that he could implement if the jounin was backed into a corner... literally. However, in order to prepare himself against the other members' attacks, he had decided to increase his speed and strength if the fight got up close and personal. With the raiton chakra still channeling within him, he had a jutsu he wanted to implement as the last one to prepare for the young ones' attacks. It was important for Tenzin to prep his body for combat. Although he wasn't the best at Taijutsu, he had to punish the ones that would try to strike him head on, while being able to evade projectiles if it had come to that.

Tenzin took his steps forward, but then released the raiton chakra that was flowing within his whole body. Within a speed of 45, the raiton within him were expelled to be on the outside of the body. What would be visible is the shinobi with a shroud of electricity covering and viscously cycling around him. To Tenzin, he felt as though he was the core to a current. The shinobi slightly bent he knees and kept his muscles tightened. Prepared to make a movement or a count to whoever and whatever would come at him next. It was clear to him that in order to counter them he had to increase his speed. This along with making sure that his strength was up to par in order to protect himself. With the shroud of lighting cover his body, if there was to be hand to hand combat, the consequences could be in his favor.

With Tenzin fully prepped and ready, he looked at all of the root operatives. How would they attack him at this point.

Takeshi smiled as he regrouped with his teammates. He was growing to feel more comfortable working alongside them, whatever initial frustrations he had with Aiya in their first training session seemed to have been smoothed over. Though the group hadn’t spent any time together outside of training over the last week or two, it didn’t feel like it was necessary. They were each focused and dedicated on becoming stronger and working as a unit. How they communicated when under pressure was what mattered. Each of them was chosen because there was something about them that set them apart from other shinobi of their generation. They had the drive and the passion, whatever their individual motivations might be. For the young Hyuuga it was his hatred toward Kiri that fueled him and his desire to protect his family, especially his sister Kaori. And he couldn’t do that if he was dead, as had nearly been the case only recently. He hadn’t yet talked to the others about it, but he didn’t need to. The commander knew what had happened and Nobu had patched him up. And he was back on his feet and more motivated than ever to be better than yesterday every single day.

Focusing on the chakra around his body, Takeshi kept the barrier around himself strong, though slowly released the oxygen flowing into his lungs as the fires were extinguished. The chakra around his nose and mouth specifically thinned and allowed him to breathe normally again once more. “Got it!” he responded dutifully to Aiya as she told him to keep his focus on the Captain. He wasn’t sure if their squad had a proper leader at this point but he was willing to defer to Aiya when it made sense. At Noeru’s comment he smiled softly. “Not as sturdy as yours but it will do” he acknowledged, making it clear he did in fact come up with the idea by observing Noeru. There was a lot he could learn from the others. Though they were only two years older than him he was always one to respect his superiors in both age and rank. And they were above him in each regard. “Not yet” he informed simply as Noeru asked about Tenzin’s elemental use. Truthfully Takeshi was eager to see what else the man was capable of. And especially if he could push his limits to overcome ration with the use of his Fuuton techniques.

Though for the moment he took the time to simply calm himself and keep focused. Honing his chakra control further as he allowed himself to feel the slow and steady release of chakra through each of his tenketsu points, continuing to keep his armor evenly distributed even if he didn’t have to actually supply additional chakra but rather evaluate and maintain what was already formed. It felt fairly comfortable but he wanted to make sure it was something he could maintain while still performing other jutsu. If he couldn’t even do that much then it wouldn’t be very useful after all.

Takeshi observed as Aiya vanished into the ground, his Byakugan activated again as he watched where she moved. Noeru’s kunai surprisingly hit a shadow clone that the captain formed, creating another one even before dashing away so fast he couldn’t track him. Though the closer shadow clone was more his priority. He would coordinate his attack with Aiya, as her pillar shot up from the ground behind the clone Takeshi would charge the man, hoping to back him up toward the pillar, moving before it was even fully formed. His hand glowing with chakra he would feint a Jyuuken palm strike, drawing the captains focus as Aiya cut off the clones exit and emerged from the pillar and then he would cast a wind tunnel aiming straight down, surrounding both the shadow clone and Aiya and further trapping the man in with the woman who would be able to deliver her powerful tonfa strikes. The beauty of the wind tunnel was its versatility and lack of cutting power, making it safe to use around allies to move them out of the way, redirect or intercept attacks and even act as a deterrent to isolate others. The moment Aiya destroyed the clone he would dismiss the wind tunnel.

It had been a risky gambit for their captain to use shadow clones to take hits for him. Perhaps he was quite confident his superior chakra control and versatility with elemental jutsu gave him a commanding advantage. And normally it would, but with less than a third of his chakra remaining now, suddenly Takeshi felt a new sensation. They weren’t on the defensive now; they could actually push the Jounin. Together, they could win. “His chakra levels have dropped considerably” he noted, though he wasn’t a skilled enough sensor to determine precise levels of chakra he could still discern a certain level of intensity and he had noted the chakra between the shadow clones had been split evenly and seemed to be lost when they were destroyed. “We can win” he decided, his voice determined as he turned to face the man, Aiya standing at his side.

Regardless of rank or age, the fact remained that it was three versus one and Tenzin had given himself a distinct handicap, intentional or not. He wasn’t about to let that go unexploited. As the man flowed chakra into the ground, Takeshi flowed chakra to his feet, hovering above the earth as his wind skating technique activated. “He has flooded the ground with his chakra, be wary about submerging yourself Aiya” Takeshi warned, he wondered if she would even be able to utilize Doton ninjutsu like this unless she could overpower his chakra. “Let’s put on the pressure!” he called out, encouraging his teammates as his hand slipped into his kunai holster. He hadn’t brought his bow and arrows with him, expecting them to be of little use in the relatively confined underground space, but he was still quite skilled with shuriken and kunai.

He would throw two shuriken in one motion, hiding one under the other in his palm as he grabbed them and similarly throwing them in such a way that one hung back slightly behind and below the first. It would be difficult to discern. They were aimed center mass, simply a means to keep their instructor on his toes as Takeshi dashed forward, even as lightning enveloped the walls. All the more reason to control the center of the room and not be forced to the edge. “Keep control of the center” he called out, perhaps it was a trap but it still seemed the most practical response. If the captain intended on rounding them up and using Doton ninjutsu to attack he would at least be able to give his allies some warning by seeing the surge in chakra.

1150/550 Control (2 Stats)

Though as the ration shroud enveloped the man, it seemed apparent the man was preparing to engage in close quarters, either as a deterrent or something to turn the tables on them once again. Either way it needed to be dealt with. The chakra emanating from it was intense and the speed it manifested had appeared nearly instantaneous. It was difficult to discern how strong the actual electricity was, but at the very least he could feel it out and test his Fuuton against it.

But Takeshi couldn’t take the risk of getting too close. It seemed the best option would be to start off with some simpler tests, a ranged jutsu that could affect a larger area than the simple weapon coatings he was already proficient in. The idea came to him to test his own version of the wind bullet technique. He had experimented already with the basic concepts of creating different shapes with Fuuton and could maintain his chakra for a distance away from him. Forming a similar set of handseals to Tenzin’s water bullet technique he swapped out a rabbit seal for the more wind natured bird hand seal. And then inhaling deeply he slowly manifested a sphere as he exhaled. His chakra flowed into it, its nature changing to Fuuton as he refined it, thinner and more precise as he moulded the shape into a sphere the size of his head that manifested in front of his face. He would continue to refine it, molding it tighter, denser as the winds oscillated around. And then, after about ten seconds he was satisfied with the stability and launched it at a speed of 15. It would be relatively easy for the man to dodge, though he would have to move either back toward the wall of lightning or toward one of his Chunin teammates who would likely take positions on opposite sides of each other to try to work the man back and keep him in a corner.

And when the Fuuton sphere either hit its target or reached its 15-meter distance, putting it nearly at the wall, it would explode in a 5 meter radius of 15 Strength cutting winds, effectively 20 Strength against the elementally vulnerable Raiton. Of course, this wouldn’t be enough to disrupt the lightning on the wall or Tenzins armor, but it would serve as an important baseline and reveal to the young Hyuuga that the white-haired shinobi was getting serious. If they touched lightning of that strength, they would likely be fully paralyzed and suffer some severe electrical burns. “It’s strong” he muttered under his breath, the intensity of his expression alone enough to indicate that it was time to get truly serious for them as well. This was no longer just a simple exercise, there could be serious consequences if they let themselves slip up.

Fuuton • Wind Bullet
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the required hand seals or channelling chakra, the user expels sphere of wind ranging in size from 10cm to 1 meter from their mouth. This ball of wind travels up to 15m at [Control] speed, and explodes with [Control] Strength on contact with solid matter or at the end of its range expanding into a 5 meter diameter impact of cutting winds.

Fuuton • Wind Tunnel
D-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
After forming a brief series of hand seals Takeshi will build up chakra manifesting a wind tunnel from within 10 meters of him. The stream of air will follow a funnel pattern that can be manifested in a variety of shapes but not manipulated after creation to serve a variety of purposes. The length of the tunnel is up to 10 meters long and 2 meters wide. This jutsu moves at a Speed and Strength equal to [Control] but does not contain the cutting passive of Fuuton. The wind tunnel will last for 2 posts after creation.

*Fuuton • Wind Skating
D-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user is able to glide on air as if they were skating on ice. This allows them to move faster (+3 speed) but lowers their ability to translate force (-3 Strength). This doesn't allow them to fly, but rather to travel over things like land, water, and ice with greater ease. The user is only held several inches off of the ground. This Jutsu does not expire until the user’s chakra supply runs out or the user shuts it off. The fuuton passive is not applied in this technique.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Hidden Shot]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By launching two projectiles, one immediately after the other, the practitioner attempts to create a decoy for the second. The first projectile is often larger or of equal size, and the second projectile is slightly behind and below it, the second projectile hiding in the first projectile's shadow. This masks the second projectile and makes it more difficult for the opponent to completely avoid. Opponents with a Perception technique equal or higher in rank may be able to see both projectiles clearly within a reasonable distance, though they'll still have to properly defend against it.

As Aiya emerged from the earth, her attention immediately fell on the only "Tenzin" she could see, and it seemed Takeshi was intent on setting her up to get a little one on one time with their Jounin mentor. This was training of course, so she wasn't intending on beating the man to a bloody pulp or anything, but she had to approach this with some sense of realism, otherwise there would be nothing to gain from the training. She was admittedly very impressed with Takeshi's resourceful use of his ninjutsu - to be able to trap an enemy with her in such close quarters heavily put her at the advantage, and wasn't normally something she could reliably set up for herself. To be given the opportunity... Oh she'd make great use of it.

Lunging towards the man like she had before, she rammed her tonfas into his chest in an attempt to send him flying backwards into the wind tunnel. Assuming she did so, she'd follow up with a pivot towards the man, spinning around to build up momentum in her Tonfa before hammering the tonfa's end into the clone's head in a sort of 'reverse lariat' maneuver. The intent was to slam the bottom of her fist, holding the tonfa perpendicular to her forearm, into Tenzin's skull or throat, while moving along with the strike to make the man fall to the ground as it came into contact with her hardened, stalwart body.

After knocking the clone to the ground, she'd follow up by holding her other hand up high, and as a poof of white smoke erupted from her palm, in the place of her other tonfa was now her Spear, it's golden tip pointed towards Tenzin's chest. Of course, as she wasn't trying to kill the man, she would quickly flip it around so that the blunt end of the spear faced his chest before thrusting it down into him - At least this way, he'd be bruised and not dead. But then of course, there was no telling at what point the clone would erupt. In fact, by the time her attack was over, she realized there was another Tenzin across from them on the other side of the arena, and Takeshi was speaking about winning as their mentor's chakra reserves had dwindled. "Heh... I don't know if I'd call it 'winning', but we're definitely getting better. That's the important part."

Genbu's Drop, Suzaku's Swoop
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Aiya will lead off with a powerful back-handed clothesline strike against her target's upper body, aiming for the skull or throat specifically in an attempt to knock her target to the ground with the shear force of her body and strength. Then, activating her fuuinjutsu seal, she will swap to her spear or glaive and drop the sharpened tip of her polearm into the target's chest or stomach, impaling them into the ground under her weapon's weight.
Aiya didn't have much time to relish the small victory, as Takeshi released her from the wind tunnel just in time for her to see the walls covered in Raiton chakra. The man really was using a litany of jutsu - he had even funneled his chakra into the earth, no doubt overpowering Aiya's own chakra and making the ground jagged and uneven, making meaningful navigation difficult. "Damn, that's gonna be rough... I was really hoping to make more use of the ground game. Well, I have an idea actually... watch your footing, both of you." She'd look to both Takeshi and Noeru with a grin as her spear poofed away in a cloud of white smoke, to be replaced with her large and powerful guan dao.

The man had enshrouded not only the room with Raiton, but himself as well, which didn't bode well for close quarters combat. However, despite her weapon choice, close quarters combat wasn't her goal here. Instead, she would begin to gather chakra within her body while twirling her guan dao with an audible 'woosh' as she built power and momentum, moving to an open area of the room while jumping off the jagged rocks left by. As she reached a point about 10 meters away from Tenzin, she'd reach up high and slam her weapon hard into the ground with a roar of might, releasing her chakra into the earth with the swing of her guan dao.

A large crack then began to rush out from the point of contact, ripping the earth open as her chakra softened the path of the force released by the swing of her weapon. The thunderous sound of the earth being rent asunder filled the room as the ground began to rip open, the jagged crack rushing towards Tenzin's location at a speed of 25. It would keep traveling in that direction until it hit the wall of raiton behind Tenzin, leaving a 5 meter wide crack in the earth in it's wake and tossing stone shrapnel around the area of it's path of travel at a strength and speed of 25. Looking down into the pit, one would notice a litany of large, sharpened rocks, easily capable of puncturing flesh should anyone happen to fall in to the maw of stone.

Wiping the sweat from her brow, Aiya would look at her work with a grin before assessing the location of Takeshi and Noeru to make sure they were safely out of harm's way. The technique was incredibly dangerous for anyone who caught themselves in it's path of destruction, and in a few moments it would seal itself back up. If anyone was stuck within the jaws of the earth... a medic likely wouldn't be enough to save them.

Doton : Tsuchigumo's Maw
B-Rank Nintaijutsu Maneuver
Aiya will gather chakra within her, funneling the chakra into whatever weapon she is currently holding before swinging the weapon at the ground. As the weapon makes contact with the ground, the chakra will funnel into the earth and soften the ground in the path of the force of Aiya's weapon, causing a jagged crack to rush forward up to 60 meters at a strength and speed equal to Aiya's [Strength]. As the crack travels, it tosses around dirt, rock and stone at a strength and speed equal to the strength of the initial strike, dealing damage as the crack forms. The crack is up to 20 meters wide and deep, and drops down into a jagged crevice full of sharpened rocks, granting the jutsu it's name. A post later, the crevice will close at the same strength and speed it was opened, crushing and stabbing anything caught within.

Arriving late to the party did Noeru no favours. It appeared that the bout was in its finishing stages. Noeru remained vigilant as he moved through the underground arena towards the centre. He liked Takeshis strategic thinking in controlling the centre of the bettlefield. This tactic usually gave the ones controlling an advantage since the opponent would be at an within a set distance. It was all good, but when the opponent was stronger, this advantage could be equal to them as it was to the ones in the centre. But Noeru did not get dishartened as he paid close attention to what happened in the arena. Each and every vibration that took place would be picked up by Noeru. But as handy as this enhanced hearing was, it placed great strain on his cognitive powers as he had to process a lot more information than normal. With that, or at least until he had grown used to processing all this information, he would have to switch between what he was doing. But while there were was no danger to him, he continued feeling what what going in the arena. Tenzin, the captain, performed the technique which resulted in him being covered in a lightning shroud, and then channelled chakra through the walls also covering them in that same chakra. Immediately Noeru knew that coming into contact with it would result in a very negative result for the victim. The electricity was some intense that the crackling it created hummed through his ears as he took in all the noises and vibrations in the room. Noeru was already looking forward to being led by Tenzin, he just hoped he would get a chance to eventually test himself against the man.

It was time to offer some support to the team, not only that but to also offer himself some defence in case Tenzin decided to attack him directly. Chakra flew into his hands and they burned with its aura for a moment before being sucked into them. After converting his chakra into Mokuton, Noeru had activated his finger gun technique that resembled his captains. A moment later he would concentrate on the vibrations and sounds which filled the room, trying to locate each and every member of ANBU, figuring out who was who with his eyes closed. Tricky it was, but everyone was different at the end of the day, their breathing, heart beat, their body mass and the blood pumping through their veins, this was truly tricky, but a technique of this level would take a while to master and he was very prepared to take his time to learn about himself, and his comrades, after all one day this technique may be the key to telling between a fake, but also who is lying and who is telling the truth.

Now that Noeru had allowed to time to get his bearings, his right arm fully extended lifted, and he with his eyes still shut fired four splinters towards the source which for the moment seemed the most quiet. It had to be Tenzin Noeru thought. And after firing he felt the splinters travelling through the air at their usual speed of thirty with equal power to support them heading directly for Tenzin.

As the shinobi walked forward he made his way towards the center of the training grounds and closer to the trio standing before him. He was not close enough to hear them speak, but Tenzin mentally prepared himself for an attack. It didn't take long before Takeshi launched his first attack. He looked upon his arm as he swung it in an different form that what he was used to. To the Jounin's eyes, a single shuriken was thrown at him. At this point, Tenzin knew that this was a tactic to keep him moving and not giving him enough time to truly think.

Considering the shuriken was something he could work with, Tenzin focused his chakra once more. In order to get closer, he had to also keep them on their toes as well. Once the shuriken was released from Takeshi's hand, Tenzin weaved a very quick couple of hand signs. In order to perform the jutsu as soon as possible, the shinobi didn't want any extra time wasted. Especially since the goal was to get closer to them. Within a moment winds started spiraling around Tenzin. As if currents were being created around the man. Within the eye of these currents, they would have appeared almost instantly and have a strength of 35. Normally the nature of the jutsu would be able to expand 60meters, however to preserve some energy and not tear the training grounds completely apart he kept it at 4m away from himself.

The current would take the shuriken and anything else directly shot at him. What Tenzin didn't realize was that the current itself would take two of the shurken and spiral them around himself. After a few quick cycles around Tenzin, the Shuriken would be sent backwards towards Takeshi. The shuriken would be sent at the same speed and strength as how he sent them.

[color=#lightgreen]Fuuton • Wind Currents[/color]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu Technique
After channeling or performing the proper hand seals, the user creates spiraling currents around his body up to 60m. These currents appear at a speed dictated by the user's [Control Stat]. As long as the user's [Control] stat is 5 points higher than the [Strength] stat of the projectile sent, the wind currents can take in projectiles, tangible objects, and jutsu. If the wind current takes in any of the previous stated, the user can cut off sections of the wind current in order to send back what was sent to them at an equal or higher speed based on the [Control Stat], however the user cannot increase the strength of the repelled projectile. The current lasts for [Control/4] unless dispelled by the user.
As the current surrounded him, he also noticed that Takeeshi had another trick up his sleeve. This time Tenzin pushed himself to the right at a speed of 30 to avoid the attack all together. By the time he got away from it, he started to watch as Aiya moved closer to them before swinging her weapon. It seems she wasn't taken the earth he had altered seriously. In the future, he would have to show her why that wouldn't be a great move, but for now there was no lesson he could truly teach. The shinobi didn't hesitate to focus on the chakra throughout him. In fact, he kept it flowing since the last jutsu he had released. With the current surrounding him, Tenzin was keeping an eye on the other two. However, their attacks seemed to start one after another. With Neoru placing his hands around his mouth, and Aiya slamming her weapon down, Tenzin could see that these two attacks would be a tough obstacle.

As Tenzin jumped to the right, he transitioned his body to run in a semicircle to keep the momentum of the run and aim himself towards the side of the training grounds the three were on. Before Tenzin could get much closer the coordinated assault transpired. He watched as the crack in the earth rushed towards him. The shinobi jumped up in the air with his chakra channeling throughout his body still. With the futon infusion and chakra control Tenzin released another jutsu. As the shinobi jumped in the air, what the next thought would be him falling. However, instead he was raised a little bit higher and was floating in the air. As the shinobi floated there, he looked upon the three shinobi. He could see that the needles were flying right at him.

A-Ranked Ninjutsu Technique
After performing the proper hand sign or channeling chakra, the user releases fuuton from their body. Throughout their feet and hands fuuton is released. This jutsu grants the user the ability of flight. They can move at a speed dictated by the [Control] Stat. This jutsu lasts for [Control/4], but can be released earlier if needed.
As the needles flew at Tenzin, he shifted his body and flew slightly to the right of the needles. The overwhelming attacks caused Tenzin to tire out even more than he had already been. Tenzin knew his limit, and especially knew he had to speed up their combat. Tenzin continued to flow his chakra. At this point he released the current so he could get closer to his targets. At a speed of 40 Tenzin flew like a missile a few feet behind Takeshi and potentially close enough to both Aiya and Noeru. If he had been successful in surprising them with his speed and overwhelming them enough to not be able to react quick enough, the shinobi would stop and be floating behind the shinobi. As Tenzin was suspended in the air about 5 feet, he decided to push forward with one of his last jutsu.

By swapping between different elemental techniques, his hopes was to keep his opponents on their toes on what would come next. With unpredictability on his side Tenzin had decided to use a suiton technique next. What he had noticed between the three of them they had shared only two elemental styles. What Tenzin also noticed was that the three shinobi didn't use a raiton, which meant they didn't have the natural weakness to this kind of technique. Although it certainly didn't mean they wouldn't be able to do anything against it.

With his chakra flowing within him, Tenzin quickly weaved a few hand signs and looked at the shinobi. He would allow suiton to fuse with his flowing chakra and release from his back. Water tentacles, 6 would form from his back in a 4 meter diameter and expand 10 meters in length to almost wrap around his body. The tentacles themselves would form in a 35 speed. With a strength of 30 and a speed of 32, the tentacles would shoot out and attempt to latch themselves to the 3 shinobi. If the tentacles would capture them, the tentacles would form together and envelope them in a water type prison.
