Another morning, more work, Raizou got ready at record speed and dashed out of his home, a single person apartment in the Awai clan compound. At his age, and current point in his career, living alone was something to be expected. With all of his tools set, he went to grab the mission scroll, a short enough visit, and then it was off to the front gate of the village, well ahead of time, but everything else took a lot less than he had been expecting.

A mission to deal with bandits, Raizou had to get back into the swing of things following the end of the war. Things hadn’t been all that easy, peace reigned now, but that didn’t mean that all things were peaceful. Bandits were an issue to the livelihoods of those who lived outside the protection of military forces, the normal farmers, fishers, and miners that acted as the lifeblood to this country. In this case, it was a village a couple of hundred kilometres south of Konoha that had reported it, and had asked for this mission, paid for by whichever local lord was in charge of that area.

He was to be paired up with another shinobi, one he didn’t have the pleasure of meeting beforehand, so that was going to be interesting for sure. It was why he placed his back to the wall of the gate as he waited, well before the actual meeting time, the mission scroll and details were firmly grasped in his right hand.

Simulations and such ran through his mind before he wiped them clear, there was simply no point in doing so with the current amount of information. It was a C-rank mission, the level of difficulty wasn't that great, and unless something unexpected popped up, they would be heading home soon enough. So, he waited patiently, with arms crossed, and eyes closed, a mind held within deep thought.

Hopefully, it’s a couple of bandits, and not a secret group of missing nins, I don’t want to come back as just a headband.” A rather dark joke made with a lackadaisical sounding voice.
