Tenzin had once again found himself in the training grounds below the Anbu Outpost. He was there the night previously training. The man was frustrated with this performance and felt the lacking in his skills. Although he had spent his life dedicated to mastering the art of elemental ninjutsu, he was severely lacking in combat that would aide him and narrow the gap between the great Kage. If the silver haired Hatake House member wanted to earn the rank of Banin, he had to master different aspects of taijutsu and kenjutsu.

The Anbu Captain had done some studying before staying the night in the training grounds. In fact, he had spent most of his night reading a variety of scrolls in order to prepare himself for learning. This studying, resulted in the knowledge needed with the lack of actions. Simply put, he knew what techniques to perform but didn't fully train in it. That is why Tenzin had invited a fellow Anbu Agent to the training grounds. He had wished to practice some of his taijutsu and kenjutsu techniques with Noeru, a shinobi he had gained respect over the time he had known him. This was a great opportunity for him to train and establish himself further in not only Konoha, but the entire world.

Since Tenzin was extremely early, considering he woke up in the training room. He had decided to work on the combo that he wished to learn. After some heavy reading in the library, the young man had decided that he would learn the skitter step combat style and match it with a couple of different kenjutsu styles. The one in particular he wanted to learn was the Iado Style. He had plans to leave the village to learn a couple more different Kenjutsu styles, but at the moment his main focus was on the both Skitter Step and Iado.

With great determination, the silver haired shinobi decided to take his training out on a poor wooden training dummy. The shinobi walked up to the training dummy in a slow manner and when he was close enough to hit the training dummy with his sword, Tenzin closed his eyes. When his turquoise eyes hid behind his eye lids, Tenzin focused on his inner body. While focusing on his breath, he kept it slow and steady. Inhaling with his nose and exhaling with his mouth. With those deep breathes, the Anbu Captain would place his left hand over this hilt. He would grip the scabbard with his left hand and pull it out slightly. The shinobi would pull the scabbard out slightly, preparing him to form an attack if he needed it to be. By holding this stance, he would start on the pinnacle hallmark of the Iado Style. This was the foundation for the rest of the techniques, which would allow him to master future techniques.

After staying there for several minutes, Tenzin had decided to push forward with the next technique. Since he didn't want to practice being within the Open state just yet, the shinobi practiced the technique that would be aided if he was in the open state. With that in mind, Tenzin stretched his body and prepped himself for the next incoming technique. The silver haired shinobi released his grip of his hilt and placed both of his hands in his pockets. Within a single moment, he would swiftly kick his right leg to his right. The fast paced directional kick sent to his side, slammed into the wooden training dummy. This would result in launching it backwards several feet. Once it flew back, the wooden training dummy would lift in the air and fall on the ground. With the successful kick, Tenzin knew that if he had his senses open, the technique would almost be instinctual for him.

The Jounin was somewhat satisfied with the first couple of techniques he had practiced. However, he was far from content. With that in the back of his mind he would sense chakra coming down the stairs before he heard anything else. The shinobi would turn his back to the wooden dummy. He would reach down where he slept and pick up a towel near his scrolls he borrowed from the library. The hand towel would be thrown around the back of his neck and held by both of his hands. With a simple smirk, he would speak out to the Anbu child.

"Welcome back, feels like we haven't been here in a while. How are you doing Noeru?" The jounin said softly. He gave off a kind aura to him, before continuing. "Glad you got my cryptic message, How is everything going? Any issues with your missions?" He would wait a few minutes to converse with the child before asking the question he really was waiting for. "So are you ready to train?"

*[Skitter Step • Snap Kick]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: A form of Senses Open used.
The practitioner brings their leg up and outward, kicking to the front or to either side. If any version of the Senses Open technique is active, the practitioner is able to instead kick in almost any direction by instinct, even allowing them to turn on their heel and kick behind them.

*[Iaido • Ancestral Focus]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The hallmark of Iaido is its practitioners abilities to launch an attack even when their swords are sheathed. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to consistently execute a sword draw and slash all in one movement by gripping the edge of the scabbard and pulling the scabbard slightly forward before drawing the sword. This Discipline enables the practitioner to immediately draw their sword and attack at the start of combat.

Anbu Up!

The youth smiled as he opened up the note from his commander. An invitation to the underground training area used by the ANBU. He checked the time and realised if he wanted to make it in time he would have to get a move on. As he was still in bed, he leaped out towards his wardrobe and grabbed his usual attire. This was going to be one hell of a training session, wearing decent clothing or even his anbu clothes was not worth it.

Cold breeze entered the room as he opened his bedroom window. It was too early to use the usual means of leaving. He himself hated being woken up before the sun rose, unless it was important like this. Leaving via the window would ensure everyone else in the house would remain asleep. But before he went ahead, he checked the time to figure out which route to take, and how quickly to go.

There was not a lot of time left, and being late was not his thing. He brought his hands up to his chest a waved a short string of hand seals. The chakra in his body rushed through his muscles, amplifying their working speed. He sent his muscles into overdrive. With this, reaching the training area should not be an issue.

The youth pressed against his window sill, launching himself out as if pushed by a propeller. The speed amplification was only slight, but it was more than he was used to and moving at this speed would take some getting used to. The cold air pressed against face causing his eyes to squint and he dashed from one roof top to another across the dark village.

One of the entry points was located a little way away from his clans compound, but this entry point would bring him closer to the training area he was heading for. And now it was time to drop down to the streets and dash towards that very entry point. It was placed conveniently at the side of an old, rustic, abandoned shop. No one would ever think this could be used by an organisation such the ANBU.

Noeru approached the ruined door and gently pulled it open. The squeaky hinges were a bit of a give away if anyone was following him, but he quickly got inside and shut the door behind him. Now it was just a matter of making his way through the underground labyrinth that was the ANBU establishment. Checking the time again, he realised that he had even less time than he initially thought, it was once again time to ramp up his physical prowess. A quick wave of hand seals and his chakra began acting the same as before, but this time it was to more and to a higher degree.

The muscles in his body reacted and when he started moving his speed had increased more than it had before. The result was him not being able to fully utilise his momentum, running into walls as he turned corners happened more than he would have liked. But it was a great learning curve. The pain that ran through his arm with every impact of the coming-out-of-no-where wall was a great teacher, and it did not take long for him to figure out how to throw his weight around to make the most of his speed. It was not long until he was at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the training area.

As he stood there, he looked up and remembered the last time he was there for the exact same reason. It had been a while, and a lot has changed within the organisation since. Some of the members he was there with the last time he had not seen near enough since that training session happened. The young Senju was now stronger than back then, but so was his opponent, and that made his heart beat quicker than ever before. He was excited. Excited to test his opponent and himself. Excited to find out the power difference between his commander and himself. Hopefully this session would remain in his mind just like his last one did. And so, he began to ascend the stairs, very quickly.

Noeru stopped for a moment in front the door, twisted the handle and entered the room. His eyes immediately landed on the grey haired man stood at the opposite side of the arena. His lips turned to a smile. Although Tenzin was his commander, Noeru did not see him very often and it was always a joy seeing someone he highly respected. He did also notice the bits beside Tenzin, and realised his senpai had been most likely sleeping there. This is was put the Hatake above others, the dedication to his own growth. It was something Noeru aspired to.

Noeru began with a gentle laugh as a response, followed by - ’It does Senpai, I have missed this place. I’m doing well, excited to face against you once again, Senpai. How have you been?’ - he then took a short pause to catch his breath. ’Missions have been alright, there haven’t been any mishaps. the last thing Tenzin had said cause Noeru to smirk widely. This is something he had been waiting for, for a while. With that in mind, he reached for his sword and unsheathed it, holding the handle by his waist with the tip of the blade pointing out slightly outwards. Suddenly it burned with blue chakra. ’Senpai… I was born ready.’ The smiled remained on his face and he awaited his senpai to make his move.
