The song of the leaves rustling in the wind paired with the symphony of the birds tweeting away was truly soothing to the soul. His hands formed the seals with precision, connecting his chakra to the ancient tree before him. Masaru's connection to the forest overwhelmed his mind; he could sense the trees' whispers and the pulse of every living creature in contact with them. Losing control of the jutsu as his own sense of self abandoned him, he fell back on his derriere. He laid there dazed as Iburu laughed, the spirits laughter slowly breaking through the sensations he'd perceived through the connection. He had underestimated the way the trees worked, connected together to support one another. In attempting to sense through one tree, he'd channeled the senses of many more than his mind was prepared to handle.
He slowly got off his rump and tried again this time limiting his chakra output to limit the number of connections he made to the trees around him going slowly. Upon completing the seals and placing his hand upon the old oak he could once more sense the lifeforms in contact with the tree. He proceeded to refine this new technique. The number of trees plants and insects he could feel were still straining. By rejecting simpler chakra signatures of plainer lifeforms he could more accurately detect creatures with larger more potent energy signatures.(420/300 average stats or characters: 110+250=360/2=180x10=1800 word discount 300 word minimum for Mokuton jutsu.)
