A Rivaly Begins

Waking up early in the morning Shiroyasha had a fire burning inside of him. Kitsui had invited the half blood to a day long training session. Shiroyasha happily accepted, he loved the chance to show off and he was certainly hopeful him and Kitsui would spar against each other. Kitsui was Shiro's aquintance at this point. They had worked together before but based on Kitsui's tongue Shiro couldn't exactly say the the Inuzuka purebred was impressive. Kitsui lacked the respect of a ninja, Shiroyasha planned on teaching him a thing or two.

The Nara and Awai half blood was incredibly competitive. He had seen Kitsui in action and he could say with confidence that Kitsui was an able bodied shinobi. That wasn't enough to Shiro. Growing up he had to work hard for both the Nara house and the Awai clan. He always gave it a hundred and ten percent, and Shiroyasha was certain that was something Kitsui couldn't say for himself. He thought the Inuzuka was a slacker and a hothead. Shiroyasha had zero respect for his training partner.

Hopping out of bed with a fire burning underneath his heels Shiro got dressed. He threw on his red jacket overtop his black shirt and was nearly ready for the day. All he had to do was eat and load up his pockets with his ninja tools. Shiro walked over to his weapons chest and began storing kunai and shuriken in his many pockets. Shiro's jacket was pretty heavy. Once he was geared up Shiroyasha headed downstairs to get some breakfast. His mom was awake and making breakfast. Avocado toast. That was it. Shiroyasha groaned but he knew better than to start bitching about his moms cooking, so he ate the bread quickly and left the house without telling his mom where exactly he was going. She could tell he was training by the way his jacket was so weighed down, Mikoto was a smart girl. She sat at the table while Shiro left, rubbing her pregnant belly and munching on toast.

Shiro rushed to the training grounds of Konohagakure. It was a cleared out expanse of woods nearby the Shikatsu Forest. There was plenty of space for a battle, about 50 meters of cleared out land with no roots or shrubbery muddying up the battle field. To the edge of the circular field was a bunch of thick forestry, pine trees to be exact. They lined up in a strange criss cross pattern and looking through the trees was like looking through a maze.

Shiroyasha was standing in the middle of the . It was early morning still and he arrived before Kitsui and his dog Shikon. The Inuzuka wasn't alte yet, but Shiroyasha was watching the clock on his wrist. He stood there waiting for Kitsui. Shiroyasha was excited to see what Kitsui was capable of as a ninja. They were two opposite fighters but they were trained by the same people so they would certainly share similar tactics and strategies. Shiroyasha wondered what kind of abilities the Inuzuka was hiding from him in their last encounter.

Kitsui wasn't usually one to be late to a meeting but due to Shikon taking too long to relieve himself he would have the misfortune of being late, a sigh escaped from his lips as he looked over at the dog, who stared at him in the eyes, then shyly away. Dogs man... Kitsui picked up the dog shit and then tossed it in the bin on his way toward the training field, both of them had eaten well and slept even better, which meant that they were more than ready to square up with the Nara punk.

He slid to a halt and let his dog land on his head as he peered to the side, he spotted Shiroyasha and grinned, for he knew what was about to go down, though it seemed that the kid in front of him had no idea, for only an idiot would attempt to spar against someone who was clearly superior to him, but that's what rivalry was made of highs and lows and currently, it was clear that Kitsui was the highlight of the duo.

He doesn't seem to have any close-quarter combat techniques to save his life, so if at least one of us keeps close to him then he is smoked.

Not only had he been chosen to participate in the cross country Chuunin exam while Shiro hadn't, but he was also the one that found the Anbu compound and had to carry most of the weight against their Anbu captain, no matter, Kitsui was going to knock some sense into Shiroyasha in order to get him up to scratch and for lying about who had been stalking him. "I hope you brought some bandaids because we are going to fuck you up, kid." Kitsui chuckled and Shikon barked, as if he understood what was going to happen.

The dog began to growl as he prepared himself for the spar that was about to occur, He's a Nara and an Awai, which means we have to watch out for shadows and watch out from being blinded. Luckily we can track him with our noses... I do wonder if we can use smokes to confuse him, or do his eyes permit him to see through it? Time will tell. Kitsui crouched down and stood on a three-point stand, his right hand was raised in the air as he prepared for what was to come, Shikon dug his claws into the grass below them. "Whenever you are ready Abomni!"

Abomni. A disgraceful nickname chosen by Kitsui for Shiroyasha. The half breed grimaced when he heard it. It was unique, he had to give the Inuzuka credit where credit was due but he really did hate hearing that. Of course Shiroyasha couldn't blame Kitsui for holding a grudge on him. Shiroyasha had lured him into a high stakes stand off with an elite ANBU tracker. It had gotten pretty serious, and Kitsui had made some daring decisions that day. Before joining ROOT that is.

When it was up to the two boys to choose whether or not they had it in them for Black Ops it wasn't much of a choice, They had stumbled onto a boobytrapped treasure chest. ANBU basically had a knife to their throat. Shiroyasha didn't mind. He was hoping for the chance to prove himself, and always considered himself a main character. Kitsui on the other hand was definitely seeking out a more simple life, but with ANBU able to erase your mind Kitsui was easily swayed.

Now the two were fresh fledglings of ROOT and they had a certain level of responsibility on their shoulders. Shiroyasha had entered the fight bearing this load and he wondered if Kitsui did too. The dawg was reckless and Shiro wondered if he really had it in him to make himself into an elite ANBU member. Kitsui was certainly strong among genin though. He had barrel rushed the ANBU they had tracked to a secret tunnel. It wasn't a smart move, but it gave Shiroyasha a clue as to what kind fo fighter Kitsui was. Shiroyasha had a plan for this fight.

Without saying a word Shiroyasha nodded his head and then jumped back into the air. He flipped 5 meters back putting a 7 meter distance between him and kitsui; as Shiroyasha flew threw the air he launched 6 shuriken at Kitsui. The projectiles flew swiftly threw the air with 15 Speed and 8 Strength. They were raining down from above in a radial pattern from about 3 meters high.

When Shiroyasha hit the ground he began forming handseals to transform and take Kitsui off guard. He hit the ground forming handseals and his eyes were focused on the two opponents before him.

Kitsui smirked as he cracked his neck, he wasn't really expecting him to make the first move, nevertheless, the dog man rushed towards his direction, throwing back shurikens to block his attempts then attempted to body tackle the kid as he attempted to form a set of hand seals, Shikon prepped a follow up as a surprise follow up or counter if needed, for they knew that Shiro was a tad bit faster.

Kitsui would follow up by trying to catch himself from falling forward and push himself up and front flip into a standing position, attempting to kick Shiro midair, Shikon would attempt to bite Shiro's arm and keep him preoccupied to help his master send a sweeping to drop his foe. "Don't make this too easy." Kitsui would then try to kick him away to leave some space.

"We are now official Anbu members, my guy, come at me for real!" Kitsui would laugh at Shiro. "That's 1-0 to me chump." The dog man would toss a smoke bomb at his feet to allow him and his companion to flee out of range. The newly recruited Root member knew better than to trust that an enemy would go soft on you, so it was imperative that one training simulated the real deal for the one day you had to fight. "Show me what you got."

As Shiroyasha hit the ground and his projectiles were deflected by Kitsui's own he was putting together hand seals for his next move but Kitsui was quick to attack him on the counter. Shiroyasha was a cool, calm fighter though and he didn't let himself get too nervous. The Nara/Awai clansman simply finished his handseals and focused his attention on a log that was sitting on the ground nearby him. Shiroyasha swapped positions with the log and it took Kitsui's tackle.

As Kitsui fought with the log Shiroyasha had achieved his flank side and he started clicking his tongue. From the distance his good friend Nami came flying out of the woods and toward Shiroyasha. The cat could fly thanks to superb chakra control, but she wasn't exactly a master yet. The grey kitty had a purple bag hanging off her shoulder and she was wobbling as quick as she could to Shiroyasha while Kitsui wasn't looking directly at her master. As she flew Nami fired two Shurikens at Kitsui, they flew with 4 Strength and 2 Speed.

While his cat was putting up a distraction Shiroyasha drew two kunai from his pouch. First he channeled his chakra into one and threw it with 15 Speed and 8 Strength. This kunai was glowing with Hiton chakra and before it reached it's target, Shikon, it exploded with blinding light in a 10 meter range and 15 Strength.

As the first kunai flew to blind the dog Shiroyasha charged up a second with chakra for his Umbra Projectile. The kunai began glowing with chakra and Shiroyasha threw it with 15 Speed and 8 Strength at Kitsui's shadow.

Kitsui's attack strategy worked, It's working too well... The Inuzuka thought as he tackled the hybrid and as they crashed to the ground his darkest wish seemed to be granted, with a great puff the boy turned into a log, infuriating the Inuzuka, who kicked the log, much to his detriment. "F&€k! Why did I do that!?" The Inuzuka cried out as he attempted to rub his foot, but he was interrupted by his rival's click.

The savage Inuzuka couldn't care less if he had brought back up or not, for his dog was quick enough to buy him time and his form of distraction. His hands finished the first set of hand seals as the cat tossed the two shurikens towards him, Shikon puffed and turned into a carbon copy of Kitsui, both of their hands were quick to finish the second set of seals which would transform their bodies into half beasts.

Nami's shurikens struck his arms as he finished the set but his adrenaline allowed him to ignore the pain as he got down on all fours, his fangs and nails grew as he began to growl. They both began to form their signature Tsuuga techniques, Yasha was lucky that Shikon had been ordered to target him for the dog was close to the cat.

They both began to spin wildly as Shiroyasha's attack was initiated, fortunately for the duo they attacked from two directions, giving them a greater chance of pinning their target. Shikon was flashed and sawed right through a tree, while Kitsui was strong enough to push him through Umbra's grip, momentarily halting him before he would continue towards Shiroyasha at full speed.

If he struck then he would kick off him and bounce off the nearest tree and continue to spin around, Shikon continued his onslaught and soon bounced around blindly on the battlefield with Kitsui assisting in shifting the dog towards the correct direction.

A staple of the Inuzuka fighting style, the Beast-Man Form technique is utilized by the Ninken. By working in conjunction with its ninja companion, the canine familiar will transform itself into a copy of the clan member. This technique essentially turns the ninken into a clone temporarily, allowing it to perform the Taijutsu techniques of their Inuzuka partner.

~ Four-Legged Technique

After performing the necessary handseals, the user of this jutsu will take on a more canine-like appearance. When activated, the user's pupils will become nothing more than slivers, nails will become more claw-like, and s/he will travel on all fours. This partial transformation grants the user +6 speed and increased maneuverability, but lowers his/her control (-6) for five (5) posts.

Prerequisite: ~ Four-Legged Technique must be active.
The basis for the Beast-Man form style of combat, this attack is performed by an individual clan member. By spinning rapidly, the user turns into a whirling mass before launching themselves at his/her target. By putting their full body into the attack, the clan member will hit an opponent or nearby object at full strength with their claws, easily rending flesh from bone.

It looked like Shiroyasha was at his limit. He had given his best efforts so far, but it looked like Nami and him were in trouble. He had just one more idea though, and Shiroyasha never gave up.

The Umbra Projectile that Shiroyasha had thrown at Kitsui hit it's target without interruption. The Inuzuka was frozen in place. As he started thrashing around the kunai sunk into his shadow at faster speeds than he was capable of, and Shiroyasha successfully captured his the first target. The kunai bound Kitsui and his thrashing quickly stopped.

As that was happening Shiroyasha put together a series of handseals and held the last. He extended his shadow toward Shikon at 15 speed. The dog was targeting Nami, and the cat was leading him closer to her master, Shiroyasha. She wasn't fast but she floated with grace toward him and at the same time Shiroyasha's shadow began reaching to capture Shikon. It was the same type of attack that Kitsui had just attempted, but with a cat.

Shiroyasha was grinning as he watched his shadow advance toward Shikon. He felt pretty confident he had won, but it was never over until it was over.

The user will perform a sequence of hand seals and will hold the final seal, the user will send their shadow out across any surface toward a target at a speed equal to the users [Control] up to 25 meters, aiming to connect with a targets shadow. If contact is made, the user and the opponent will be linked together in movement, so that everything the user does is mimicked by the opponent. they are bound with a strength of the users [Control], last for 5 posts.

Kitsui spotted the special kunai move towards his shadows, no matter, he thought as he pushed faster than it could move, Shiroyasha's shadow knife forced him to wiggle out of the way which bought him enough time to dodge the incoming spinning attack, he bounced off the ground and a tree trunk in order to return to attack pronto. Kitsui was well aware that if he took too long to return to form then his opponent would be able to set up a counterattack, and that was no bueno.

Shion had been caught by the shadow hold which locked him in place, a funny look as all them could see what appeared like Kitsui in a twisted manic look. Kitsui chuckled but continued his onslaught as he knew that he had to free his buddy asap, or else run the risk of having to fight two vs one, or at least so he thought for he had no real clue how the shadow techniques worked.

I guess we are finally learning what his shadow and light limits are! Kitsui laughed as he attempted to attack Shiroyasha on his lower half of his body, he wanted to push him away or at least force him to jump, thinking that it could perhaps severe the connection to his partner, because as previously mentioned, he had no idea how exactly they worked.

The idea was that perhaps due to the shift in movement, the shadow wouldn't be strong enough to hold. Bah, Kitsui shook his head as it wouldn't matter if he hit him or not, he would rebound again, bouncing off the ground or his back onto a tree then spin towards him in an overhead arch, this time aiming to strike him at his chest. If he somehow got Shikon freed then the dog would continue its spin, but instead of focusing on Shiroyasha, he would focus on Nami, in hopes of taking out the companion.

As of yet, the man hadn't mastered his nose but slowly he was getting there, this was just the beginning of his journey and he was going to make sure that Shiroyasha was up to scratch if he wanted to hang with, for they could not get knocked out like they got the last time they got into a fight. "Don't disappoint me Shiroyasha! We haven't even begun yet!" Kitsui laughed as he pushed forward.

Kitsui liked Shiroyasha, but he couldn't allow him to not become as sharp as him, especially now that they had been inducted into the ROOT program, they were already on their way to becoming legends but in order to be recognized as one, one would have to become strong like one, therefor Shiro, who Kitsui saw as his rival, would have to prove his worth! Or else Kitsui was just bullying a kid, much like Asaganrei, which was the polar opposite of what Kitsui wanted out of life.

Prerequisite: Piercing Fang
Whenever Kitsui does piercing fang he runs the risk of hitting a wall or objects that are in the way or whenever the enemy dodges his attack, this discipline allows Kitsui to bounce off the objects and change his trajectory, meaning he can even use the surroundings to his advantage. With this Discipline the target requires a Perception tech at the same level in order to keep up.

It looked bad for Shiroyasha. He had managed to sieze control of Shikon. The dog was frozen in place at about 15 meters in an Imitation jutsu. Whatever Shiroyasha did, Shikon would do. As he had his opponent trapped Shiroyasha turned to face Kitsui.

The halfbreed gulped down some nerve wracking anxiety. He had no idea how to combat Kitsui. Shiroyasha had just one idea. With Kitsui coming at him full throttle Shiroyasha spun together some hand seals once again and cast his shadow forward at 15 Speed. The two were fated to meet in a dead on collision if Shiroyasha didn't catch Kitsui with his Imitation jutsu.

As he sent his shadow forward to catch his opponent Shiroyasha thought to himself about the journey him and Kitsui had already been through. They had spent hours together combing the forests of Konoha for a secret sewer base for the ANBU. If it wasn't for Kitsui, Shiroyasha never would have gotten his dream of being recognized for his skill. Since Kitsui brought Shiro face to face with the ANBU operative that would propel his ninja career, Shiro hadn't told Kitsui how thankful he was. With his shadow possession inching closer to Kitsui, Shiroyasha shouted out to him, "Thanks for everything, sucka!" Shiroyasha was grinning.

He felt it in his bones, and even though Shiroyasha turned around and formed another set of hand seals, Kitsui would reach him before the jutsu was cast, he was sure of it, it was 100%! Right? Right!? Oh I am going to get you wide open sucka, you are going to regret messing with an Inuzuka! Kitsui laughed as he pressed on towards Shiroyasha, he failed to notice that his shadow had managed to move an inch right before he struck him, the halfbreed had managed to stop the express train filled with pain heading his way, with curses and thrashes the wild boy struggled to get out of his shadow grip.

"You are lucky that you managed to stop me! You will seee! I will get out of this!!!" The raging psycho continued to thrash, more and more he started to push out of Shiroyasha's control, forcing him to control both his thrashing and Shikons, Kitsui was secretly training his strength as he tried to force himself out of his shadow grip. So his shadow can hold people down. Got it, I have also heard rumors that they can even kill people with their shadows. The dog man growled as he continued to thrash.

Both of the teenagers would spot as Kitsui to a step, the reverberating clack caught both of their attention, proving that the Inuzuka was making progress and if Shiroyasha wasn't fast quick enough to figure out a path out of this situation then he would have to deal with a pissed of Inuzuka inches from his face. Kitsui stared him down, peering at his equipment then back at his eyes, showing that if Shiroyasha let go of his hand seal then Kitsui would break through his hold and stop him before he would reach his pouch.

Worst of all was that Shikon was still prepared to continue his attack toward his comrade if he wasn't careful, moving inches closer at every breath, the beast clone was even more furious as it had been held for a longer time. Interesting, we seem to be at a stalemate... For now. Kitsui chuckled. "I have to admit, I underestimated you Abomni, you are something special." The dog man grinned, his hand trembling closer and closer towards Shiroyasha's chest, he tried to pat him to show that they weren't far off each other, that perhaps combined they could become something.

"Now show me what you got!" Kitsui would leap over Shiroyasha and attempt to grab him in a rear naked chokehold, he bet that he wouldn't be fast enough to pull it off but the mere idea that he was counterattacking would hopefully wreck his plans of attack.

Shiroyasha is a smart kid, he always seemed to figure out a way out and Kitsui needed to plug each hole, from what he had learned from the kid, he was capable of not only blinding him but if he wasn't careful he could capture him too. Kitsui was lucky that his powers were split between him and his companion, giving him enough time to train his strength through the bind, this rivalry was slowly proving to be of worth, perhaps the two of them could truly reach legendary status, but for now, Kitsui needed to kick his ass!

If he failed to grab him in a good hold then he would attempt to grab his shoulders as he rolled on his back, he would then attempt to plant his feet on his back and kick him away, hoping that this could perhaps break his hold on his companion, he needed to make this fight fair again and desperation was getting the best of him, worst come to worst he would just knock him, that would at least guarantee the release. Heh, let's go.
