Please announce edits made and be aware mods reserve the right to Deny your application/modification for Timing after 7 days if edits are not made. Players are allowed 5 characters per village.

Below is a guide to the Character Creation process. It's a rough guideline to the different sections on our basic application with important information for different character types and ranks. Any additional information that is too large to be covered in the character creation guide will have links with supplementary information in the relevant sections.

Please keep in mind that we enjoy to keep a certain uniformity to the applications on the forums, so if a mod is asking you to fix your app, it’s up to their discretion.

Your character's name, formatted by the last name before the first name. If your character belongs to any archived clans, houses or lineages, the last name should link to the application for that family.

Nicknames can be any name your character goes by, such as what other people call them or what they call themselves. A nickname is not required, and if you decide against having one, you may remove this field.

A nindo is a way of life, a catchphrase, or simply an ideology. Think Naruto saying "Dattebayo" or Asuma's stance regarding the "Will of Fire". Like the nickname, if you decide against having one, of it you may simply remove this field.

Mostly self-explanatory, age should match the minimum age requirements for ranks of the given villages, which can be found in the individual village profiles. Gender can be left blank should it not match the recognized gender of the character. Physical features can be formatted as the user sees fit and do not need to match the format listed. However, it must include height and weight, and it should include hair color and eye color. It should also include any notable tattoos, scars, distinguishing features, and so forth. If your physical features section is not thorough enough, a mod may ask for further clarification. Also, as a note, there cannot be any abnormal eye colors unless given through an ability, as certain clans have very specific eye colors due to their genetics and abilities.

Clothing and accessories should include the location of any additional pouches or pockets that are used to hold weaponry. This section should include the typical outfit worn for missions, or for day to day activities, but does not need to be both.

The picture section is not required and can be removed if a picture is omitted.
While pictures from popular media aren't expressly forbidden, we ask that you avoid title characters.

Personality can be formatted as the user sees fit, but it should include the above information. Should the moderator find the personality to be too shallow, they can request for more details to be included for clarification.

Your character can be any of the Five Great Shinobi Villages. If the character is not from one of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, then they may start as a 'minor country' person. If you choose to be from a Minor Country but have knowledge of chakra in any capacity, you will need to explain where it was learned from.

Your character's rank at startup can be Genin, Chuunin, Special Jounin or Jounin. Your rank determines the number of stats distributed to your character.

• Genin: 40 Stats
• Chuunin: 80 Stats
• Special Jounin: 120 Stats
• Jounin: 160 Stats

The "Power Rank" field, is the rank that is based off of your stat total. While your village rank can change, or remain the same based on the characters story, the Power Rank is what we use for moderation and leveling purposes (such as rank up costs, perks, etc.)

The equipment section should list all the equipment the character carries on their person, whether it is offensive equipment or simply utensils to eat food with. The equipment list should also include where on their person the equipment is kept. Characters are given Ryo at startup to spend, however characters also receive a "starters kit" of weapons, which you may include (or exclude) on your app at no charge. The starters kit includes: 5 kunai, 10 shuriken, 10m of wire , 5 exploding tags, 1 smoke bomb, 1 flash bang. More information on this can be found in the Jutsu section of this guide.

Affinity/Specialization:

This field represents your character's natural elemental affinity in their chakra. Characters with an affinity are given a -250 word discount for all trainings for jutsu that utilize that affinity, and the minimum word count is 300 instead of 400. This includes extensions, supers, and fusions of that element (a character with a Katon affinity would get the discount for both Lava and Ash release as well)
However, not all characters know or utilize their natural affinity, in this case they may instead designate a concentration as a specialization (such as Status Genjutsu or Perception taijutsu). In this case they receive the same -250 word training discount for any jutsu that utilize those concentrations. You may only have an affinity or a specialization.

The Companions section should be left blank. If you gain any companions in the future, the moderators will add them to this section.

This section should list any Abilities or Concentrations that the character has. The rules for abilities and concentrations are specified in the aforementioned link.

This is where the user should list all jutsu the character has. Jutsu can be organized however the user would like, but they should be organized in a manner that makes them easy to read and interpret by the mods.

You are assigned a total of Ryo based on your starting rank to spend on Jutsu, Equipment and additional Stats. This start up Ryo is lost if it is not used.

Below is the number of Ryo received for each rank:

• Genin: 50
• Chuunin: 85
• Special Jounin: 120
• Jounin: 155

Additionally, there are Jutsu rank caps for each rank at registration.

• Genin: B-rank
• Chuunin: A-rank
• Special Jounin & Above: S-rank

Please note that minor country characters must purchase and list the basic ninjutsu to have ninjutsu and genjutsu at startup. The exception is characters from Lightning Country who have been taught jutsu via the academy. The character's history must explain how the character obtained knowledge of chakra.

Ryo spent on stats at registration may only be spent on 15 additional stats. This limit of 15 can either be put into a single stat or spread amongst any of your stats.

Please note there is a limit to a maximum of 15 explosives, including exploding tags, flash bombs, and smoke bombs.

History

The character's History should include any pertinent details of the character's past and upbringing. At a minimum, the history should include the characters life before the academy, when they graduate the academy, and each time they ranked up. Some moderators may ask you to expand on the history if they do not think it's detailed enough. Additionally, histories must be approved by the Village Leader.

This is the bottom section of your app, and exists mostly for administrative purposes. Ryo will stay at 0/0 unless otherwise specified. The Prestige Perks will stay as 0/0 unless otherwise specified [here]. The stat trainings will stay as (0/75) unless specified [here].

Finally! To encourage writing with new members, the first five topics completed by a new member will reward double ryo to all participants. This x2 is applied after all other modifiers. This bonus is member-specific, regardless of how many characters they create.
