  • Face/head: Iga has an angular, smooth, and clean shaven face with a pointed chin. He has oval shaped heterochromia eyes, with gold and red speckles on his right iris and a starburst pattern blue on his left iris. The whites of his eyes are clear and watery. Iga has red hair that is shaven short around the head with a shoulder length mohawk in the center. His mohawk is not spiked and falls loose to one side of his head, reaching down just above his shoulders. Iga is described as having a scheming and mischievous natural expression, with a wicked smile and thin and expressive eyebrows. His ears are small and pierced with black gauge plugs, and his button nose is slightly pointed.
  • Body: Iga has a slim and athletic build with a fair amount of muscle definition, though characterized by his slender frame more than muscle bulk. His ribs are slightly visible against his skin. Iga is mostly normally proportioned, with slightly long arms and a slightly longer than normal neck. His skin has a naturally damp look, always looking as if he had recently gotten out of a shower. Iga’s fingernails are painted black, and each of his hands have circular ring-like runic tattoos around each of his fingers and thumbs.
Clothing/Accessories: Iga’s daily ninja attire consists of a black mesh long sleeve shirt with a deep crew neck and sleeves ending mid-forearm. Over the mesh shirt he wears a deep V neck dark blue, short sleeve shirt with the Iwagakure symbol patched on either shoulder. He wears black mesh stockings under dark blue, baggy harem pants rolled up to his mid-shins, and blue ninja sandals. His tan chuunin vest is worn unzipped over his blue shirt, and his red village headband is tied to the back of his belt, hanging off the belt like a handkerchief.

  • General: Iga is an unruly jester, often putting on a lazy and uncaring demeanor. He is borderline rude, temperamental, and many times competitive. Iga loves to talk and loves the sound of his own voice, often joking around and failing to act seriously when appropriate for the situation. Despite his many shortcomings and vices, he is a bold ninja who is dedicated to this village, and though he is often found unlikeable he has a natural loyalty towards his friends. He is an avid reader and has a hunger for knowledge regarding the ninja world. Due to his own personal experiences, he often enjoys the company of animals, particularly salamanders, more than humans. Iga’s vices include drinking, smoking, gambling, and womanizing; though his peculiar look and off-putting behavior rarely attracts the sort of attention from the opposite sex that he would like.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Despite his childish attitude, Iga’s greatest desires are to be recognized by his peers and elders as a ninja of value and strength, and to form a family of his own. Being from a no-name family and having no tradition and history to perpetuate, he has always felt out of place and desires to establish a strong family base of his own.
  • Fears: The reason for much of Iga’s bad behavior is rooted in his insecurity about himself. His mismatched eyes and strange look caused him to be teased growing up, paired with his upbringing led to him feeling like an outside within his village. Iwagakure’s caste system’s typical discard for fringe and insignificant persons, and the active slave trade that made up the every day, filled Iga with the fear of failure and the irrational fear of being made a slave. Conversely, the pressure of the system also instigated a sense of competitiveness within him, motivating him to become as powerful as he can be. Though the system in which he is surrounded has incented much of his fear and insecurity, an instilled sense of patriotism has convinced him that he thrives off the pressure.
  • Combat Mentality: In combat is an intelligent and contemplative fighter, treating battle like a game of chess and constantly thinking several steps ahead of himself. While he talks and demeans and insults during combat, he is not prone to lose control and constantly maintains an analytical and cautious outlook.

First Ability Sanshoo Seninka~Salamander Sage Transformation Having breathed the poison of the Black Salamander Sage, Tenmeiyo Iga’s body has undergone a change known as the Salamander Sage Transformation. Iga’s body has become similar to that of a salamander’s, gaining increased regenerative abilities, autonomous limbs, and the ability to produce a natural lubricant from his skin. He additionally has gained an increased resistance to poisons and an immunity to poisons produced by his own body due to the growth of poison producing glands within himself. Through this transformation, Iga has gained the ability to create and utilize poison bite and breath techniques, transform his body to resemble a salamander’s, as well as the ability to utilize salamander senjutsu (salamander based jutsu and summonings).

Iga suffers -5 stamina for the increased regeneration. Effects of foreign poisons are reduced by half, while complete immunity is granted to the user's poisons. This ability consumes 2 ability slots.

A character with this concentration is able to utilize Suiton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Suiton affinity. Suiton has a passive enveloping effect.
Passive (Enveloping)Show
Suiton's effect is enveloping, meaning that suiton passively surrounds anything that it makes contact with. Suiton techniques that do not last over periods of times (i.e, exploding techniques) drench their opponents, but long term techniques will envelop anything they come in contact with and maintain a hold on it with the 3/4th strength of the technique, rounded down. This means that if a suiton wave is shot forward with 17 strength, it will envelope and move anything with it that does not have more than 12 strength to resist it. This allows Suiton to fill a very powerful role in eliminating tools from opponent's access and capturing targets.
Doton:
Doton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Doton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the doton affinity. Doton has a passive enduring effect.
Passive (Enduring)Show
Doton has a passive effect of Endurance, which means that it's power is retained throughout the entirety of the jutsu. All of a single doton jutsu retains the strength of the jutsu, even after the jutsu has been destroyed, and unlike other jutsu, doton does not fade when destroyed. This means that if a doton barrier with 25 strength is cut in half and falls to the ground, a part of that barrier could be picked up and carried as a hand held shield which would still have 25 strength, despite being a fractured part of a jutsu. This creates incredibly potent defenses, making doton a popular affinity among defensive fighters.

A character with this concentration is able to utilize Kouton, and advanced form of Doton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Kouton affinity. Kouton has an resisting effect.
Passive (Resisting)Show
Kouton has a resisting effect. This means that Kouton jutsu ignore the effects of other affinities, regardless of their nature. If a Kouton spear was thrown through a water shield, the spear would not be caught by the shield, nor would it be destroyed by Sankaton, or cut by Fuuton. This resisting effect does not apply to active effects by jutsu. This means a fuuton jutsu that cuts with 30 strength would still cut through a 20 strength kouton shield, but it would not be affected by the secondary cutting by Fuuton. This makes Kouton very effective for breaking through and penetrating defenses that opponents expect to protect them. It's hardy nature makes Kouton very popular amoung Doton users.

This user is able to utilize Storage Fuuinjutsu and Force Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Storage or Force Classification. Storage Fuuinjutsu can be used to store supplies, weapons, armor, or anything in between. Force Fuuinjutsu are used to release, counteract, and capture energy.

After completing a set of handseals, the user forms a slight chakra 'body', thus creating a single, massless clone. The clone created from this technique is very basic and will dissipate when hit with anything. These clones do not possess vital signs or a unique chakra signature, meaning they don't disrupt the environment, and anything on their person is superficial. The clone has 1 in each stat. They are limited to basic movements.

After completing the needed handseals, the user of this technique will be able to alter their physical appearance to match that of another person. By consistently emitting chakra throughout their body, the user is able to keep their appearance adjusted at the cost of their stamina draining over time. As this technique is quite strenuous to uphold, experienced shinobi may see more clearly through this delusive disguise. This technique lasts for a number of posts equal to that of the user's (stamina/2).

    D-Ranked Ninjutsu
    By focusing chakra into his/her feet, the user is able to walk up trees and other vertical surfaces in a similar fashion to walking along the ground. This chakra amount must be precise, and although all shinobi learn this technique, the user's control stat will determine how well this jutsu can be executed. Users with low control 2 or lower will often fall during the use of this technique, while users with average control 3 or higher will be able to use this technique functionally. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the user's stamina stat.

    A variation of the Act of Tree Climbing technique, this jutsu requires the user to focus a precise and balanced amount of charka into the soles of his/her feet. Users with low control 2 or lower are much more likely to fall through the surface of the water, while users with average control 3 or higher will be able to use this technique functionally. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the user's stamina stat.

    After completing the necessary handseals, the user is able to quickly substitute his/her body with a nearby object that is at least 2/3rds his/her size, but no bigger than their body. This substitution allows the object to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. The object used in this jutsu may not be objects that are imbued with chakra or controlled by it, and they may also only be single, solid objects within a 20 metre radius of the user. This technique may only be used a total of one time in a single thread, give or take how many times Shunshin no Jutsu has already been used.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will spray water created from the inside of their chest through their mouth. Once the water is expelled, it will form an umbrella shape that is concave to the user and about two meters in diameter. This defense is somewhat solid and can be formed in any direction the user can spit, up to five meters away. The defense is shot at a speed of 5 and has a strength of 5 and unless completely destroyed it lasts for three posts before falling lifelessly to the ground.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a shuriken of water that can be thrown approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hand. When kai'd, this shuriken explodes with a force equal to a D-Rank explosion and covers the immediate area in water. If not consumed, this technique lasts for three posts.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a dense ball of water approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hands. Upon lurching forward, they will release the ball towards an opponent up to 10 meters away at a speed of 6 and with a strength of 4.

After channeling chakra into their hands the user will fire two jets of water from their hand, essentially hurling and propelling themselves in the opposite direction of their jets as if thrown by a strength of 5. Can be used once to throw themselves with 5 strength.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will expel a 3 meter diameter sphere of water from their mouth at speed of 5 up to 10 meters away. Upon impact it will burst spilling all over the immediate area making it extremely slippery. Those without 5 taijutsu or higher will not be able to hold their footing on this wet spot and will slip around.

After performing the correct hand seals the user expels three 3 2-centimeter diameter droplets of water from their mouth in quick succession, each of which explode with a force of one D-Rank explosion each on impact, scattering water all over the immediate area. These droplets fly up to 15 meters away at a speed of 5.

After performing the correct hand seals the user expels a massive conical water torrent that drenches an area thoroughly, capable of soaking a meter down nearly instantly for soil and like materials. The cone has a base width of 15 meters and a range of 15 meters and travels at a speed of 10, pushing things back with a strength of 10.

After performing the correct hand seals the user creates a clone of themselves comprised completely of suiton chakra. This clone is incapable of jutsu, however it's liquid nature makes it a very capable taijutsu combatant. This clone lasts for 5 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals the user expels a massive tidal wave of water 10 meters wide and nearly 5 meters tall. This wave travels forward at a speed of 10 and with a strength of 10 for up to 15 meters before losing it's steam and failing.

*Suiton • Pacifistic Domination

Created to safely incapacitate opponents, after performing the correct hand seals, if the opponent is within 15 meters and is standing a top a body of water with the user's chakra in it, the user will begin to churn their chakra causing the water to turn into a vortex and engulf the opponent, trapping them in a vortex about two meters in diameter. Once the target is inside, the user must hold the last seal and cannot use any other techniques, capable of holding this for up to five posts. In order to escape, the target must have at least 10 strength to physically make their way out, or the user must be disrupted. Most shinobi would pass out after two posts due to a lack of oxygen. However, if a target possesses a stamina stat higher than 10, it would require three posts for them to pass out. Should the target possess a stamina stat above 20, it would require five posts for them to pass out, but anything higher than 30 would allow them to resist passing out altogether.

After performing the required hand seals, the user will expel a cloud of metallic pebbles in a cone reaching 10m from themselves and expanding to 5m wide at 5 speed. The pellets strike with 5 strength and have spiked edges for maximum damage.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user can create up to two projectiles out of metal. This includes kunai, senbon, shuriken, chakrams and other similar sized throwing weapons.

After performing the required hand seals, the user will create a hollow ball of steel about the size of a soccer ball. They will then fire this ball at 5 speed in a single direction for up to 10 metres. Upon contact or reaching its maximum range, the ball will detonate with the power of a single exploding tag, showing the effected area in metal shards.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will channel chakra into a metal weapon they are holding. Upon throwing or swinging that weapon, they are then able to cause a 15cm long needle to be launched from within that weapon at 5 speed in a single direction at any point along its trajectory. This needle will strike with 5 strength.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user creates a single steel needle in their palm. The user then sticks the needle into his intended target. The user can track the exact location of the needle while it is within 10 meters of his location. When the needle is within 20 meters of his location he is given a strong sense of the needle’s rough location. Up to 100m away, the user is able to sense the general direction of the needle’s location. The user’s chakra fades from the needle after 5 posts and he is no longer able to sense its location.

After performing the correct hand seals the user causes a wall of steel to emerge from the ground up to 4 metres in height at 10 speed. This wall can block attacks up to 10 strength, and remains until it is destroyed. The koton passive will no longer apply on attacks that effect it after 3 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will cause a source of metal larger than a person to start spraying a cloud of needles in a single direction at 10 speed and 10 strength. This cloud goes 20 metres from the point of origin, while also being 10 metres in width.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the required hand seals, the user will touch two fingers on each hand together. From those spots, the user is able to create up to 35m of wire for each hand, and cause it to approach and wrap around something at 13 speed and 7 strength. Each wire may wrap around a different thing. The wire must be completely created in the first post, but acts as normal wire afterwards. This does not contain Kouton's passive.

Sage Art: Pollywog

After performing the required hand signs, Iga projects a single pollywog approximately 5 centimeters in length, from his mouth at a maximum distance of 10m at a speed of 5. When the pollywog strikes a solid surface or body it adheres to it. When kai’d, the pollywog morphs into a meter long, full grown salamander that attacks at the target with a whipping tail and a ferocious bite. The salamander lasts for 3 posts or until defeated, and disappears in a small poof of smoke. The salamander is incapable of casting jutsu, and has the following stats:

Sage Art: Stinging Mist
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the required hand signs, Iga expels a cloud of purple mist from his mouth to cover an area of 10m x 10mx by 10m. The purple mist is mildly toxic, having an irritating effect on the eyes, nostrils, and tongues of those within the mist. The mist obscures the vision of those within, and disappears after approximately 5 posts.

By channeling chakra into his mouth, Iga extends his tongue rapidly in a lashing whip, reaching a distance of 10 meters with a strength of 5 and a speed equal to the users to strike at a designated target. The tongue returns to its normal size following the strike.

Sage Art: Toxic Breath
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling chakra into his lungs, Iga expels a concentrated cloud of poisoned breath a distance of 2m. The poisoned breath weakens the surface of any material it touches by -1 strength, allowing it to be broken more easily.

Sage Art: Newt Egg Bomb
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the required hand signs, Iga creates a single spherical egg 1 inch in diameter. The egg’s surface is covered with a natural adhesive and the egg is filled with chakra sufficient to create a D rank explosion. Iga may kai the egg to detonate it within 3 posts of its creation, otherwise it loses its chakra and dissolves into nothingness.

Sage Art: Salamander Summoning Technique
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Having signed a contract with the Salamanders of Lake Tono, Iga is able to summon his Salamander Companions by forming the necessary hand signs while his own blood is present on his hands. The chakra used for this technique varies, as it is dependent on the size and rank of what is being summoned. Once it has been summoned, Iga will experience a constant drain on their chakra for as long as the summon is in place. This drain is also dependent on the size and rank of the summon.

Sage Art: Tail Forest Trap
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the required hand signs, Iga slaps his hand flat against a surface and several giant Salamander tails, each approximately 7 meters long, sprout from the surface for a distance of 15 meters. The tails lash at targets in the affected area, grabbing and striking at them. The tails move at a speed of 8 with a strength of 12.

After performing the required hand signs, Iga summons two wolf-size salamanders to assist him in combat. The salamanders last for 3 turns or until destroyed. When damaged, the salamanders disappear in a poof of smoke. They are incapable of casting jutsu, and have the following stats:

Sage Art: Poison Mist

After forming the necessary hand signs, Iga expels a cloud of purple poison mist from his mouth filling and area of 15m x 15m x 15m. When breathed in, the poison affects the subjects with a -3 stamina penalty until administered medical antidote or other suitable recovery technique. The affected persons find themselves begin to feel sick and sweat profusely.

After performing the required hand signs, Iga places his hand flat on the ground and the natural lubricant created by his body expands across the ground around him in a 10m radius. Anyone who steps on the slick earth finds themselves having great difficulty standing unless actively channeling the Act of Water Surface Walking.

Sage Art: Incomplete Sage Mode
B-Rank Ninjutsu
By remaining still and channeling his chakra for a single post, Iga transforms into an incomplete salamander sage form. Iga’s muscles grow in mass and his arms lengthen till his fingers reach past his kneecaps. His fingernails grow into 2 inch claws, and his mouth elongates into a short snout with sharp teeth. Dark patches appear around Iga’s eyes and a 2m prehensile salamander tail grows from his rear. When in this form, Iga suffers a -5 instinct and -4 control penalty and a +5 stamina and +4 strength bonus as his mind is negatively effected by the imperfect form’s changes and his body swells with the increased strength.

A balanced and unassuming bladed stance where the user holds two clenched fists slightly between his belt line and navel, his lead hand ahead of his strong hand. This relaxed combative stance allows the user a strong position to move quickly in any direction and dodge or block perceived attacks while standing ready to go on the offensive.

History

Iga was born into the civilian caste of Iwagakure, low among even that classification, his mother a freed slave and his father an employed house servant for a wealthy noble of the shinobi caste. With no family history with ninja ties, Iga has no hope of elevating his status within the village despite his young dreams of becoming a powerful shinobi. At the age of 5, Iga’s father was killed during a bandit raid of his employer’s household, his father supposedly having died while attempting to fight off the bandits and protect his employer’s family. The shinobi, a man named Enkouten Miba, was a member of a powerful political family within the village and showed his gratitude for Iga’s father’s sacrifice for his family by arranging Iga’s acceptance into the Iwagakure academy,

Enrolling in the academy at the age of 8, Iga graduated at a low position in his class at the age of 12. Not particularly naturally talented in the ninja arts, Iga did not stand out among his peers while in the academy, Upon his graduation, Iga often operated in conjuncture with two other genin's and under the advisement of a jounin named Kasanto Mitetsa. Under his advisement and training, Iga’s prowess in ninjutsu arts improved tremendously as Kasanto taught Iga in the village’s secret art of the Kouton element. Embarking on several missions alongside his peers, Iga submitted for the village’s chuunin exam after one year as a Genin. Iga completed the challenges put before him and fought against a Kamizuru chuunin alongside his friend, Nike Tsumi. During the match, the chuunin defeated both Iga and Nike, and Nike suffered a mortal blow. Despite the death, Iga was interviewed and determined to have passed the chuunin exam.

Fractured by the fatal loss of their companion, Iga and his remaining friend split up following the conclusion of the exams, and Iga celebrated his promotion to chuunin by himself. Sitting beside himself at the edge of a tiny pond just outside the village, Iga was visited by a mysterious talking red salamander. The creature identified itself as Imori and invited Iga to visit his home at the base of Lake Tono in the valley of the Lost Stones. Unsure what the creature had in mind and where this home was, Iga accepted the invitation, taking a rolled scroll from the salamander and watching as it disappeared into the pond.

After consulting with Kasanto, who stated that he would cover for Iga’s absence, Iga decided to pursue Imori’s invitation and opened the scroll he had been handed. An intricate array of written seals adorned the face of the scroll, and as Iga placed his hand at the center of the seals he found himself summoned away from his bedroom, suddenly thrust upon the cold dirt shore of Lake Tono. Surrounded by the Salamander Sage Village, Imori greeted Iga and begun to train him in the way of Sanshoo Senjutsu. For 2 years, Iga has training among the salamanders, and only recently has returned to Iwagakure.

Sanshoo Seninka~Salamander Sage Transformation <-Because of how much is loaded into this ability, it'd take 2 slots. Everything here is totally do-able, just needs a bit of tightening up. For his 'increased regenerative abilities' I'm assuming you mean this kind of regen. That means you'd need a -5 to Stamina for it.

For his poison resistance, how much does it resist a poison? Suggest effects of foreign poison are halved.

Sage Art: Twin Striking Olm <-This would function similar to your Pollywog where they'd have clone stats rather than given a Str/Spd. You'd use the stats for a D-rank clone because you're summoning 2.


Sage Art: Limb Regrowth <-This would be higher ranked and much longer than a single post.

I think I fixed some of the issues you highlighted. I made the sage ability consume 2 slots and specified the -5 stamina penalty and the halving of poison effects. I changed Twin Striking Olm to Twin Olm, and had it summon 2 D rank clone equivalents like you suggested. I removed the limb regrowth technique for now and added Sage Art: Poison Mist.

Hey, you're not obligated to have the Basic Ninjutsu posted on your app. You can have it there if you want, but since you're not a Minor Country character, it's assumed you know it.

Sage Art: Tongue Lash <==== So with the way you have this, this would actually be a nintaijutsu. This would allow you to change the Speed it launches to be your actual Speed. Strength will still stay the same though.

Sage Art: Toxic Breath <==== Got some bad news here, sir. D-Rank jutsu can only impose a -1 on any stat, though they do stack. Also, you have an extra line space/break after this jutsu that you don't need and makes a small odd gap between this and Newt Egg Bomb.

Sage Art: Pollywog; Sage Art: Twin Olm <=== Good news! D-Rank Clones get 12 Stats they can allot, with one stat allowed to go as high as 6. C-Ranks go even higher, but since we're dealing with two clones in the C-Rank, that suffers the multiple projectile rule, so each of your clones would be D-Rank clones.

Sage Art: Poison Mist <==== This can actually be -3 Stamina.

Sage Art: Incomplete Sage Mode <==== So, you actually get +9 stats for this but only -7 for the penalty. The drawbacks normally have to be equal. Go ahead and change that -2 Control to a -4 and we should be golden.

Thanks Truth! improved the clone stats on the salamander summons, fixed incomplete sage mode ( I had used toukai mutations as an example, I just checked the buff rules that makes more sense now), fixed poison mist to -3 and fixed toxic breath to -1. And fixed tongue lash.

Alright, so a couple of things about the history:

- Iwa doesn't really do traditional 3 team cells like Konoha. Matter of fact, except for maybe a special jounin or jounin advisor, I don't recall Iwa shinobi having formal teachers and instructors outside of official missions. You may wanna check with Kao on this one.

- Similarly, normally chuunin exams are only a 1-on-1 fight with another genin. While team battles are possible, they'd be against an actual chuunin, or the difficulty would be appropriately scaled in some way. Also, kinda sucks, but there's no ceremony. You just have a talk afterward, and if you've been promoted, you get a flak jacket.

I reviewed the Ranking Up rules for Iwagakure and adjusted to history to better fit.
