- General: To most Shoshiki Mei would appear to be the epitome of an exemplary upbringing. Under most circumstances she acts the part of an exceedingly polite, refined, and elegant young woman, albeit with a sense of arrogance and tendency to look down on those that don't meet her standards. She carefully watches those around her and seems to have a love of gossip, though to her it is simply a means of gathering information. While coming off as perpetually calm and unbothered she is quite sensitive, only having learned to reign in her emotions and stew in silence with any semblance of feeling being in slight shifts of her facial expressions.

If the glass hits an opponent, it will stiffen movement while it sticks to them until it hardens with [Control] strength. After the glass has hardened, it is rather easy to remove, but if shattered, will explode as Garaton does. This can also be used to stick to a surface other than skin for demolition purposes.

Born to a loving couple, Shoshiki Mei had a rather peaceful and loving, albeit strict, upbringing. Her parents deeply loved their only daughter but from the earliest moments she could remember for as much as they doted on her, there was strictness in equal measure, having been raised in etiquette and the like from a very young age. Not wanting to disappoint the parents she loved so dearly she took to the lessons, growing up to be a rather polite and reserved girl, albeit a bit 'snobbish' as it were. Upon starting in the Academy she was generally polite and sociable enough but at the same time found herself not having many friends. She would later come to find that she had, intentionally or not, come off a tad unapproachable to most of her classmates, likely due to her tendency to try and act as the class's leader of sorst. That was with the exception of one young girl by the name of Maki whom took to challenging her self imposed authority, the pair over their time in the academy forming a bond of mutual respect and a very close friendship.
With that said her time in the Academy otherwise came and went fairly uneventfully as did her time as a Genin. It was following her promotion to Chuunin that shifts began to occur in her life. When she was 16 years old she was introduced to her arranged fiancee, a fellow Shoshiki by the name of Haru. To both of their parents' delight, the future couple immediately hit it off and were more than happy to be wed, once they felt ready to tie the knot.
From there life was as peaceful as a Shinobi's life really could be. She was married and had her family and best friend by her side and all was good. That wasn't to say there weren't some close calls however. Following a particularly rough encounter with a Missing Nin she began to study the art of Tenkujutsu. Her opponent had been a skilled summoner with numerous powerful spirits at their command and she and Maki had nearly been killed at their hands.
During this time Iwa's conquest of Suna had long since been completed but more importantly... With her newfound skills she had been chosen as part of the handler squad for a new Jinchuuriki, a Suna shinobi by the name of Shinsen Koyuki whom had been sealed with Janesisu, the Heaven Genma that presided over Creation. Her task in particular was to keep a close eye on the girl and those around her, to report back with any suspicious movements, and to directly intervene should the girl or Genma pose any kind of threat.
