Backstory
Okita's upbringing was both typical and quite odd for an offspring of his household. Having been born into an extensive lineage of powerful and proud shinobi who have served the village for centuries as warriors, Okita was surrounded with tales of majesty and glory in both battle and peace during the village's history. Though the family's true history has been lost to time, his grandparents and great-grandparents still clung to the notion that they were descended from the Second Kazekage himself and that, one day, they might again have the privilege of leading the village. Amongst his relatives, it was an understandably common sentiment to push one's self to prove their worthiness to the village, both for the betterment of the village itself as well as the family name. This was most commonly pursued in Okita's family through martial pursuits and achievements as a shinobi, and throughout his life, Okita was pushed to do the same. Despite this commonality, however, Okita was almost certainly borne of a different mold from his fellow family members.
Born to Sazama Arata and Sazama Yui, Okita started life much like any other Sazama, training at home not moments after he could steadily walk in preparation for the entry into the shinobi forces he would inevitably face. Okita was studious, to be certain, but while he was competent, he had little natural interest in the art of war and subterfuge, as was common for the shinobi. Instead, his attention was naturally drawn to Sunagakure's great library. Its many shelves of tomes and scrolls fascinated the child, inspiring a sense of wonder in him. His astute parents quickly ascertained the nature of this interest and took the course of wisdom by attaching rewards of visiting the library to his training for meeting various thresholds. Okita was a smart child; he could intuitively sense his parents' barter, even if he couldn't articulate it. But he didn't care. He wanted to spend every moment that he possibly could in that great font of knowledge. If he had to also learn less interesting things to get there, so be it. And thus it went. Though he was quick to learn the written word, even before he could understand the glyphs, he eagerly sought diagrams and pictures, processing everything he could understand and eagerly asking for explanations of what he couldn't. A source of joy for some of the scholars who frequented the library and a source of aggravation for others, none could deny the boy's aptitude for scholarly wisdom. He pursued every text he could get his hands on without pride or arrogance. Nothing was above his dignity to learn, even what others would consider demeaning. Arrogance served as a barrier to wisdom, and Okita would not dare put such a wall between himself and the scroll.
At five years of age, Okita faced a crossroads, as he began to become more restless. The books that he had thrown himself into had started to dull in their intrigue. He did not simply wish to read of these fascinating places. No, he wanted to see them. To discover them. In vain, he sought ways to leave the village, even under every restriction imaginable, to try and find a particular tomb that he had studied about in one of the many scrolls. Alas, it was for naught. As he found himself constantly vexed, the library's legendary curator, Senrin Kiyori, saw the child's voracious hunger for knowledge and decided to give him a goal. Shinobi were often granted more freedom to leave the village. Should he put more effort into his martial training, that would not only grant him more latitude to discover the hidden secrets of the world that intrigued him so, but he would be more competent in doing so. Now even more driven, Okita progressed in his study and entered the academy. Okita excelled in his studies, and he was well-reported on save for one sole criticism: his focus was razor-sharp, to the point of apparent callousness toward his comrades. It was noted, but nonetheless, Okita graduated. Even now, he still spends every free moment he has at Sunagakure's Great Library or exploring potential archaeological sites. Others in his family, despite being thankful that he has finally followed in the path set by his heritage, are concerned about his intent search for relics of the past, uncertain of his motives for doing so...

[Ninjutsu • Chakra Jet]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into one of his feet, Okita releases it from their feet in a burst of concussive force in the form of an outward explosion in a cone away from his feet up to 10 meters away. This explosion has a force equal to Iwamaru's Control and can be used in a multitude of ways, such as either adding additional force to a kicking attack, to allow Iwamaru an additional jump in midair, or to redirect his jump in midair.
[Ninpou • Explosive Enhancement]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After taking an explosive tag or another explosive item in his hand, including those produced from Okita's jutsu, he channels unstable non-elemental chakra into the item. Until the end of the post, if the item is detonated, the additional chakra detonates along with it, adding the explosive force equal to Okita's Control to the explosive's own force.
[Ninjutsu • Spiritualism Strike Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
A modification of the Spiritualism Technique, Okita forms the necessary hand seals and forms a visible seal made of solid chakra anywhere within 25 meters of his location. Using this seal, Okita can cast any jutsu possessed by one of his companions through that seal. The seal dissipates immediately following the completion of the jutsu. Summoning a jutsu without summoning the actual companion itself to cast the jutsu is taxing, and Okita bares both the cost of this jutsu (which scales in chakra cost with the rank of the jutsu being summoned) and the cost of the jutsu itself. This means that this jutsu's chakra cost will always be double the cost of the jutsu being summoned. Okita cannot summon a jutsu which has a Strength that is higher than his own Control. Additionally, these chakra seals are tangible and have a Strength equal to Okita's Control. Should these seals be attacked with an attack or jutsu of Strength equal to or higher than Okita's Control, the seal will shatter, immediately ending the jutsu being summoned.

The base technique for summoning, the Spiritualism Technique allows users to bring forth their summons to fight on their behalf. Once an agreement has been made between the user and their summon, they will be able to use this technique to call upon it at any time unless stated otherwise. The chakra used for this technique varies, as it is dependent on the size and rank of what is being summoned. Once it has been summoned, the initial cost of the summon is equivalent to its rank. It is paid upon being summoned and then the same cost is paid as often as follows:

Kaze no KokyūShow
Style Description:Kaze no Kokyū - Zen Shūchū no Kokyū • Level OneKaze no Kokyū is a specialized form of Nintaijutsu that involves mixing weapons training, Fuuton ninjutsu, and body conditioning to form a deadly style. When chakra was first discovered and weaponized, before becoming restricted to the Shinobi Villages and other included parties, particularly skilled warriors would combine their martial training with the strengths of elemental ninjutsu to form deadly schools of combat. There were many variants of these schools, but the five most prominent schools of combat soon came to be known as "The Breaths of Creation."
Having been preserved and modernized by the Shinobi Villages (becoming especially prominent in Sunagakure no Sato), Kaze no Kokyū makes use of close-quarters combat and the power of Fuuton ninjutsu to wear away at opponents and overpower them with an unrelenting barrage of Fuuton-enhanced attacks. Though practitioners of this school of nintaijutsu are free to adapt the maneuvers (also known as "kata") to whatever weapons they are currently using or make their own maneuvers, Kaze no Kokyū traditionally uses a single-handed battle axe of some sort in its techniques.
Requires: [Perception] Taijutsu Concentrations, Fuuton Ninjutsu Concentration.
D-Rank Nintaijutsu Stance
Utilizing a special form of breathing while constantly channeling Fuuton chakra, the practitioner forces their body into a state where a small amount of fuuton chakra is constantly being channeled and primed to be molded and emitted from their body and weapon. This chakra is used to enhance their attacks and movements. If the practitioner uses this effect to enhance their attacks with their weapon, the enhanced attack is treated as a double attack, the first attack hitting with a Speed equal to their Speed and a Strength equal to their control. The practitioner can exit this Stance reflexively to conserve chakra.
Kaze no Kokyū - Ichi no Kata • Dust Devil Slice
D-Rank Nintaijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s) Kaze no Kokyū - Zen Shūchū no Kokyū • Level One or graduated version of the Stance must be active.
Using the Fuuton chakra currently channeled into their weapon and bodies, the practitioner surrounds themselves with a funnel of cutting winds and propels themselves toward the opponent, the funnel coming to a point in front of the practitioner. This funnel affects an area up to 10 meters away from the practitioner's location. Because of this wind funnel, even indirect contact with the opponent to be hit by the winds and suffer the cutting passive of Fuuton. This attack is treated as being launched at +3 Speed and -3 Endurance since the accelerating effect granted by the wind funnel can cause additional strain on the practitioner's muscles. The cutting passive of this technique is applied as if it were a Fuuton technique of Strength equal to the practitioner's Control.
Kaze no Kokyū - Ni no Kata • Claw of Purifying Wind
D-Rank Nintaijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s) Kaze no Kokyū - Zen Shūchū no Kokyū • Level One or graduated version of the Stance must be active.
Using the Fuuton chakra currently channeled into their weapon, the practitioner gathers Fuuton chakra at the tip of their weapon before swinging at the opponent. The Fuuton chakra arcs out at the opponent in tandem with the practitioner's attack, allowing the practitioner to strike any opponent within 10 meters of their position with a blade of slicing wind 5 meters long and 1 meter thick. This set of blades is close together and can only strike one opponent at a time. This set of blades has a Speed equal to the practitioner's Speed and a Strength equal to the practitioner's Control. The practitioner can determine how much or how little chakra they spend on this technique based on the number of blades they produce within a single post.
Kaze no Kokyū - San no Kata • Swaying Mountain Tree Air
D-Rank Nintaijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s) Kaze no Kokyū - Zen Shūchū no Kokyū • Level One or graduated version of the Stance must be active.
Using the Fuuton chakra currently channeled into their weapon, the practitioner gathers Fuuton chakra along the edge of their weapon and swings in a wide, upward arc. This swing produces a rising twister of slicing winds in the 10-meter area around them, capable of both defending against attacks and damaging multiple opponents. This twister has a Speed equal to the practitioner's Speed and a Strength equal to the practitioner's Control.
Kaze no Kokyū - Shi no Kata • Rising Dust Storm
D-Rank Nintaijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s) Kaze no Kokyū - Zen Shūchū no Kokyū • Level One or graduated version of the Stance must be active.
Using the Fuuton chakra currently channeled into their weapon, the practitioner gathers Fuuton chakra along the edge of their weapon and swings in a wide-downward arc in front of them. Predominantly used as a defense and a counter this swing causes a dome of slicing winds to be pushed out from the practitioner up to 10 meters away from their position. This dome has a Speed equal to the practitioner's Speed and a Strength equal to the practitioner's Control. This dome remains for the remainder of the post unless the practitioner chooses to dispel it.
TaijutsuShow
Kaze no KokyūShow
Kaze no Kokyū • Opening Thread
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training and study, the practitioner has learned how to more quickly recognize openings and weaknesses in the opponent's defenses and fighting style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's reduced reaction time required to take advantage of an opening that presents itself in the middle of combat, thus increasing the likelihood the practitioner will score a successful hit when targeting the vulnerable area. This does not grant the practitioner any protection against falling for feints or traps sent by the opponent.
Kaze no Kokyū • Swallow's Flight
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training and study, the practitioner has learned how to maintain forward momentum more efficiently while adjusting to changes in the flow of battle. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to more quickly decelerate and immediately change direction while moving without losing Speed, thus conserving defensive and offensive momentum.
Kaze no Kokyū • Whispers of the Tengu
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After years of studying and training, the practitioner has increased their tactile acuity and has learned how to track their opponents without using sight, instead relying on their sense of hearing to locate them through the sound of the opponent's movements. This technique allows the practitioner to accurately isolate and track an opponent and attacks using only sound. This technique is less effective for tracking opponents outside of a 10-meter radius around their person.
Kaze no Kokyū • Izuna's Gaze
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training and study, the practitioner has significantly increased their visual acuity. The practitioner can now see more clearly in foggy, misty, or cloudy conditions (such as while in the effect of a smoke bomb), at night or other low light vision, or through the natural distortions caused by the heat emanating from flames, fire, mirages, and refracting light. The practitioner's range of sight is doubled in normal or favorable conditions.
Kaze no Kokyū • Sparrow's Wings
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training and study, the practitioner has learned how to more accurately control their body to generate maximum force even when they are attacking from a compromised position or are airborne. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to both attack with their full Strength as long as they can swing the attacking limb even if the rest of the body is immobile and the ability to redirect their bodies to avoid attacks even while in a compromised position or airborne.
Kaze no Kokyū • Drifting Feathers
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training and study, the practitioner has learned how to maintain their full speed and move while on very thin or unstable surfaces. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to move at full Speed on very narrow and thin surfaces such as chains, wires, or airborne debris without compromising their footing, momentum, or balance.
