Traditions: Members of the Yuurei clan are deeply superstitious and have a strong beliefs in the idea of "fate". Divination plays a large part in clan culture and at the birth of every new member a Major Arcana card is drawn.
This card winds up forming the "identity" of the clan member within the clan and is believed to effect the nature of their natural poison gas that they will awaken upon becoming able to use the clan's bloodline.
Influence: The Yuurei clan has a high-level of indirect influence in Kumogakure and the Lightning Empire at large. Their secrecy has long made them impeccable agents of intelligence communities, controlling the world from the shadows as phantoms.
History Even before Kumogakure was formed, the Yuurei clan lived in the hills beneath the mountaintops. Prospering as a large clan that had defeated centuries of the Hojo Daimyo's attacks and plays to conquer the mountain ranges, the story of the Yuurei clan is one dipped in tragedy, as their traditional ways and deep beliefs around fate blind sided them in the war against foreign shinobi- the former freed slaves of Iwagakure propped up by the Hojo.
With the might of their shinobi enhanced military, Hojo and the shinobi succeeded in taking dominion over their land and founding the village of Kumogakure raising Lightning Country to become the final of the Great Five world powers. With their lose and erasure over time, after multiple centuries the clan is now less than 100 people.
Still, the clan has kept to it's way and refuses to move along with the times. Though they are no longer directly relevant in the political landscape of Kumogakure or the Lightning Empire they remain respected due to their unique abilities and "old ways" which has often garnered the attention of tourism and class field-trips.
In the shadows however, the Yuurei clan has found power as the shadow rulers of Kumogakure in the past century with their clan members serving as the top agents in the now defunct Black Ops, and continuing to move the gears behind the scenes of the Imperial Security Bureau.
Their gaseous, ghostly form in addition to the mythology of them being the shadows in the night has lead them to the moniker of The Phantom Clan.

Yuurei clan members have a unique bloodline ability that allows them to re-arrange the molecules of their body into a gaseous form on command. The gas each Yuurei clan member is comprised of is different and naturally carries an effect rated at A-Rank airbourne posion. While in gaesous form, they can completely control their shape in addition to floating.

- Lack of mass means that in gaseous form means pushing/pulling techniques are very effective when the Yuurei cannot directly resist via their [Control]
- As a gas, most physical attacks including energies cannot physically harm a Yuurei in gaseous form: kunai sail through them, a wind bullet punches a hole through them which soon after closes
- Any contact with liquids in a quantity larger than their body instantly knocks them out of their gaseous form; submersion blocks their ability to transform completely
- Gaseous Form provides no immunity or defenses against Genjutsu

Phantom - The Tower
Tarou possess the ability to physically emit a corporal "phantom" named The Tower from their tenketsu. The phantom may possess 1 ability and scales on the users [Willpower] stat for any stat checks. As an extension of the user, the phantom can utilize the users jutsu, but conversely damage done to a phantom or chakra used by one effects the user equally. A phantom can never be more than [Willpower] meters away from it's wielder.
