  • Face/head:
    He’s never cared for presentability and is always seen sporting a large, unkempt beard that he only trims to prevent interrupting in combat. Because it’s also usually dirty, his beard tends to take on odd asymmetric designs through the course of each day.
  • Body:
    He does not appear to have the body of a shinobi, instead looking more at home in a library or temple. Were he not a designated soldier of the realm, he would be a lanky and flaccid creature that only ate the bare minimum to survive. Instead, he nourishes his body to the bare minimum needed to maintain his abilities and his station.
  • Notable Features:
    Most notable on Sabah’s body is the collection of tattoos that seem to liter every part of his body. The tattoos are all in intricate designs and symbols that are reminiscent of fuuinjutsu, but not quite like the seals commonly seen today. While striking in its beauty and complexity, Sabah’s tattoos are most notable for the fact that they’re often moving and changing shapes.

    Sabah’s body would not intimidate anyone at first, but his intense concentration and complete disregard for the physical realm creates a surprisingly intimidating aura around the otherwise lanky man. This aura combined with the unfortunate odor of his barely sanitized body has resulted in a bit of an unpopular figure.

Clothing/Accessories:
Sabah's wardrobe is a testament to his devout path. He dons a loose-fitting tunic of muted earth tones, its fabric soft and well-worn from years of pilgrimage, practice and lack of maintenance. The tunic has only shrunk in its size with age and now barely covers any of his torso, serving more as an open-chested vest with pockets. The tunic falls to his knees, tied at the waist with a simple, rugged rope that serves as a belt and occaisonal tool. His arms are bare and every part of his clothing is littered with a combination of fuuinjutsu and foreign-looking writing that matches his tattoos.

His lower attire consists of loose-fitting pants that allow for freedom of movement, tucked into unadorned boots suitable for long treks across the dunes. Each piece of Sabah's attire is chosen for its function and spiritual resonance, serving as both protection and a statement of his devout dedication. He chose his outfit when he was 20 and since then has only made changes to repair the rotten or to update the seals he has placed upon them.

Personality: Kari, Sabah is a strange man born in the wrong time. He was meant to have lived in the time of the great prophets and nomads of old, where a man could devote his life to questions of philosophy and religion and do nothing else.
-Airhead, barely ever paying attention to anything that doesnt have to do with defenses or religion.
-Art lover, just about the only bit of pleasure he gives himself in this life.
-Otherwise complete ascetic, scorns comfort and luxury and frequently deprives himself of anything that starts to bring him too much joy or pleasure
-Extremely suspicious of people and ALWAYS thinking of threats and countermeasures
-If not kept focused and directed, will spend far too much time within his mind and making ideas vs actually implementing them. Often surrounded by very capable Eidolon task masters to keep him focused and on task.
-Despises human interaction and will do just about anything to get out of it, including being extremely rude.
-Contrary to appearance, is surprisingly open-minded and tolerant. Believes firmly that all is as it should be, so long as one follows the Light, he has little opinion on the details of someone chooses to do so.
-Despises killing and violence, but relishes the fact that he’s so efficient and uniquely skilled among his people to do it.

While this seal is active, the target is incapable of falling asleep or falling unconscious regardless of circumstances. Once used for torture, this technique allows the user to expend all of their chakra without falling unconscious. Instead, they remain conscious up until the moment they're so strained of chakra that they die. Like somebody that never sleeps and eventually dies, because a body needs sleep.

*Charge Fuuinjutsu • Air Seal

A truly unique move in that it can be used alongside other Fuuinjutsu, by channeling into their finger as they draw in the air directly in front of them, the user releases raw chakra the lingers for a small amount of time, allowing it to be used as a seal formula. Alternatively the user can also do hand seals and place their hands forward, causing a seal to burst to life in the air in front of them. This technique consumes chakra equal to the cost of the technique.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will hold their hand over a seal, and begin to remove it. This removal will be successful as long as the user has more [Control] than that of which the Fuuinjutsu was sealed with.

After drawing a ([Control]/5)x([Control]/5) meter seal formula on a surface of an object. The user will then arm it with their chakra up to [Control] strength with a concussive force explosion outwards from itself.

*Storage Fuuinjutsu • Sealing Defense

By having an empty surface with a seal formula placed on it, the user is able to use the seal as a defensive measure. Holding a single, one-handed hand seal, the user attempts to block the incoming projectile with the surface. Right before contact is actually made, the projectile will be sealed into the seal. While strong, the seal must be the same size or larger than the projectile it is attempting to seal. This seal can protect up to the user’s [Control] in Strength. Once used to seal and then release again, the seal will need to be rewritten. The user can only seal objects up to their ([Control]*2)m^3 in size.

After placing four barrier tags in a square, the user draws a line connecting each of the tags. When kai'd, all the tags are set off simultaneously throwing up a barrier at a strength and speed of the user’s [Control]. This barrier lasts for 4 posts.

D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
Experienced with fuuinjutsu, this user is able to channel fuuinjutsu and hold a fuuinjutsu on one hand without activating it, and then channel a second fuuinjutsu. This allows them to place two fuuinjutsu simultaneously rather than casting one to place then having to pause to cast a second one. Interrupting the cast of the second technique before placing the first fuuin will disrupt both.

C-Ranked Fuuinjutsu
Experienced with fuuinjutsu, this user is able to channel fuuinjutsu and hold a fuuinjutsu in one spot without actually setting it. Within the next 1 post, the user can choose to Kai this almost-baked seal, causing it to officially become created and thus be able to get utilized normally. This is useful when dealing with unique circumstances like sensors that can detect created-seals, but wouldn't be able to tell what was happening in this instance. Most importantly, however, choosing to not Kai the seal within these two posts causes the majority of the chakra used in the not-actualized seal to return to the user.

*Augment Fuuinjutsu • Strengthen and Enhance

After drawing the necessary seals on the object, the user will imbue the object with a strength equal to their [Control]. The size of this fuuinjutsu is contextual in terms of the object it is applied to and the strength it is enhanced to. For example, if imbued with 50 strength the object will have 90% of its surface space covered, while if only imbued with 25 strength roughly under half of its surface space would be taken up by the seal.

After drawing the necessary seals on an any existing object or chakra construct like a barrier, the user will imbue the object with a strength equal up to their [Control]. The size of this fuuinjutsu is contextual in terms of the object it is applied to and the strength it is enhanced to. For example, if imbued with 50 strength the object will have 90% of its surface space covered, while if only imbued with 25 strength roughly under half of its surface space would be taken up by the seal. This seal also allows the targeted surface to become imbued with the chakra affinity that belongs to either the user or a consenting ally making physical contact with the user.

If a fuuinjutsu is placed on a solid surface via [Air Sealing], the user can perform additional hand seals afterwards to cause the fuuinjutsu to suddenly catch on fire, branding itself into the surface. While this doesn’t prevent the destruction of the fuuinjutsu, it does make it harder by making it so it cannot simply be wiped away.

This fuuinjutsu can be placed on any existing barriers. Should the barrier be reduced to less than 25% of its initial strength (i.e, 40 strength down to 10 strength) this seal will activate, causing the barrier to rapidly shrink with [Control] strength at [Control] speed. Should anyone be captured in the barrier, this can crush them before the barrier is destroyed. This seal will not activate if the barrier is reduced from more than 25% to 0 strength, only if it is at less than 25% but still erected.

This fuuinjutsu can be placed on any existing object or chakra construct like a barrier. The user will draw this fuuinjutsu on the ground. Should anyone step on the fuuinjutsu, it will activate, creating a chakra link between the person who touched it and the fuuinjutsu. The target will be attached to the fuuinjutsu via an up to 10m chakra chain with [Control] strength at their waist.

The user will draw a fuuinjutsu on a surface and can activate it with [Kai]. When activated, the fuuinjutsu will erect up to four barriers up to 40m in length and 80m in height from its surface. The barriers are roughly 10m apart from each other, lined up so that they are overlapping completely. Each barrier forms at [Control] Speed, and can have up to ⅓ [Control] strength. Each barrier operates independently (i.e. destroying one will not destroy the other) which is why they still cannot collectively exceed [Control] strength.

The user will draw a fuuinjutsu on a surface and can activate it with [Kai]. When activated, the fuuinjutsu will erect three barriers 40m in length and 80m in height from its surface. The barriers are roughly 10m apart from each other, lined up so that they are overlapping completely. Each barrier forms at [Control] Speed, and can have up to ⅓ [Control] strength. Each barrier operates independently (i.e. destroying one will not destroy the other) which is why they still cannot collectively exceed [Control] strength.

The user will place a total of 8 seals through the use of Air Sealing, placing the 8 seals in a cuboid shape. Any of the vertexes of the cuboid can be on solid surfaces but this fuuinjutsu allows it to also be performed in the air. When all 8 seals are placed, any seal can be activated to activate this technique. A barrier will form and create a cuboid barrier with each seal being a vertex. The barrier forms at [Control] Speed with [Control] strength.

*Charge Fuuinjutsu • Scarlet Fever

The user will perform the necessary hand seals, as they then touch the ground a [Control] meter box appearing around them with a seal in each corner. Once activated, the jutsu will create a perimeter. Within the perimeter, no one is able to hear or see anything, and is completely unable to talk. Exiting the perimeter immediately returns these senses, however. This perimeter remains in place for 10 posts, but destroying one of the seals will deactivate it.

The user will perform the necessary hand seals, and form this seal on their target. While this seal is active, the target is incapable of falling asleep or falling unconscious regardless of circumstances. Like somebody that never sleeps and eventually dies, because a body needs sleep.

The user will perform the necessary hand seals, and form this seal on their target. While this seal is active, the target is incapable of being affected by any debuffs the first five times they would have been affected otherwise. The seal can be turned off and on within a thread without additional chakra cost, but resetting the # of debuffs resisted will require re-casting and charging of the technique.

*Augment Fuuinjutsu • Chakra Forbid Seal

After forming the necessary hand seals, the user will have their hand glow with five seals on each of their fingers before they make contact with their target transferring the seals. This seals off the target's tenketsu, disturbing their chakra flow and blocking it, essentially making the target incapable of utilizing their chakra for jutsu as long as the seal is on them.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the user will have their hand glow with five seals on each of their fingers before they make contact with their target transferring the seals. This seals off the target’s ability to move their body and limbs disrupting their nervous system. This does not affect jutsu casting or the ability to think.

After performing the necessary hand seals the user will then place his palm against a target. If the target is imbued/possessed with the power of a spirit their hand will visibly flare up with Maroon chakra.

*Shizumeru • [Vision of Spirits]
C-rank Tenkujutsu
Pre-Requisite: Sensory Concentration
After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra to their eyes, causing Maroon chakra to flare up around their eyes. This allows the user to see the chakra of spirits and spirit related objects/people as an aura of Maroon. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Chakra Pool]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

*Shizumeru • [Voice of Spirits]

After performing the needed hand seals and focusing chakra into their hand, the user places their hand on the head of a Spirit host, or on the object containing a spirit. This allows them to speak directly to the spirit in a telepathic link.

*Shizumeru • [Containing Spirits]

After doing the needed hand seals, the user will create a 10x10x10m barrier at [Control] Speed with [Control] Strength. This barrier is created of pure Maroon chakra and will only stop things that are related to spirits, normally jinchuuriki. As a result, those that are stopped by the barrier are unable to make their way through unless they can break it. Those untainted by spirits are able to pass through the barrier at their leisure. This barrier lasts for 4 posts.

*Spirit Binding • [Seishin Kanri]

After preforming the necessary hand seals, the user shoots out a chain of Maroon Chakra at [Control] Speed & Strength that wraps around a spirit. If the spirit stays sealed within this chain for 4 posts, the spirit is subjected to the control of the user of the technique, regardless of contracts up to 4 posts. If the spirit has more Strength than the chain, it can be easily broken free of. This jutsu can only be used on similar and lower-ranked spirits.

*Shizumeru • [Unconnected Connection]

After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra into their body, giving them a slight Maroon glow. For the next 10 posts, whenever they speak, they are able to communicate with Spirits of all sorts, including those inside of jinchuuriki.

Prerequisite: [Charge Fuuinjutsu]
The user will form a fuuinjutsu and place it on their target. Should their target have an ‘Nth’ stat, while the fuuinjutsu is active the target will be unable to access skills granted to them by their Nth stat outside of the allocated 5 post window - commonly ‘going into form’. In other words, the target may only use abilities and jutsu granted to them by their Nth stat while their stat boosts from that stat is active.

*Ochiiru • [Minor Possession Removal]
B-rank Tenkujutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user will place their hand on an object that is being possessed by a spirit, such as a joruri. Over the course of a full post, the spirit will be pushed from the object unless its Control is equal or greater than the users.

*Shizumeru • [Grasp of Authority]
A-rank Tenkujutsu
After performing a set of hand seals, the user focuses chakra towards their hand. A chain made of Maroon chakra will shoot from their palm towards the target with [Control] Speed and Strength. If it hits a spirit, a jinchuuriki, tsukimogami, or other such being, the chain will wrap around them and bind their arms to their sides. These chains cling to the chakra of the Spirit itself and are unable to be broken through physical means. If the target has a Mastery stat or a Spirit has a Strength greater than the users Control, they are able to break the binding. If the chains are able to stay on their target, they will drain away -6 Mastery from hosts or -6 Strength from Spirits until broken free of and for 3 posts thereafter.

*Spirit Binding • [Domesticating the Beast]
A-rank Tenkujutsu
After preforming the necessary hand seals, the user places their hand over the spirit as they flood their chakra for an entire post. If the spirit has a control stat higher than the user's, then the spirit will resist the claim. If they do not, they will be bound to the user, and are able to be summoned at any time at the will of the user and have to obey their every command. This jutsu is effective on similar and lower-ranked spirits.

*Nonhuman Binding • Retribution of Humanity]
A-rank Tenkujutsu
The user does the necessary hand seals, then releases a surge of Tenkujutsu energy that travels 100m in every direction from their body at [Control] speed. Anyone who has an [Elemental Body] or is alive via an [Animus] that comes in contact with this surge fo Tenkujutsu energy will be unable to repair any damage to their bodies via jutsu for the next 4 posts.

Prerequisite: Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu Concentration
After doing the needed hand seals and writing the correct seals or having them premade on a storage device (such as a pot), the user is able to take advantage of a spirit, even the legendary Genma, that has been recently ejected from a host/object or one that has been defeated. As long as this jutsu is used the post after the spirit was ejected/defeated, the fuuinjutsu consumes the spirit, trapping them inside until the seal is broken or it is purposefully released.

Prerequisite: 45 Control, Augment Fuuinjutsu Concentration
By placing the correct seals on the person and placing their hand making contact onto a spirit or a spiritual being, and then by performing "Chakra Kai", the caster is able to temporarily stop the spirit from influencing an object that it is possessing or sealed into, prohibiting the ability for the host to call upon the spirit's chakra until the seal is broken or removed with Fuuinjutsu Removal.

After doing the needed hand seals, while having the *Shizumeru • [Temporary Housing] of a spirit close by, the user will attempt to seal the spirit within a living host. By writing a seal onto the host, the spirit will then be sealed within the host. Users with less than 40 Chakra Pool who attempt to perform this jutsu will die after its completion. However if the user has additional help, they can use an additional person to supplement the Chakra Pool they do not have as long as the grand total equals 40 Chakra Pool.

Prerequisite: 45 Control from the jutsu caster, a minimum of 200 Chakra Pool, Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu Concentration
Each participant must share their chakra with the unsealer, as they perform the needed hand seals. The user will then pump this vast amount of chakra into the seal of a host, such as a jinchuuriki. This process takes a total of 200 Chakra Pool from the group to extract the spirit from the host, who will in turn die. If the total sum of Chakra Pool is not met, the participants will all die. It only takes one individual in the group to know this jutsu.

-Ancient dynastic family tribe, technically his great^10 grandfather was a famous nomad king
-At family’s height, they were known as the greatest protectors and warriors of the light and were at the forefront of fuuinjutsu and chakra innovation. Had a philosophy of jumping into the darkness to constantly push the border of the light, but overtime and once there was peace and no more enemies for them to protect their people against, their family slowly began to be considered the darkness as opposed to the defenders. Living on the edge, they had a tendency to be more progressive and to have the most mystical form of Yuuma, and as such, they were first hunted when losing their power, and then just slowly ostaracized and isolated to the point of getting whittled down to one family line, ending in Sabah.
-His family was taken into suna when he was a boy, given protection and raised hidden from the village. Their family has gone down in histor as sorceres and witches and even today, they ar enot looked upon fondly by most followers when looking back.
-At first Sabah was determined to show his and his family’s worth by becoming the most devote follower and most useful ninja. With time, however, he found that his culture’s teachings were too strong and he would never come to fully assimilate. His passion for the philosophy and science of the letter of the law of his religion also proved to be too great. By the time he was a special jounin, Sabah was already past the notions of redemption for his people or any ambitions for his own self. He cared only to be the best follower he could be.
-He holds no grudges against Suna and its people, knowing very well how humans are and believing it all to be part of Her greater plan, of which he still firmly believe shimself to be a frontline fighter of, defending against threats nobody else can.
-He is unknown to almost everyone in the village and has been encouraged and even manipulated into this path from childhood, though it did not take much outside effort for him to become this natural version of himself. But for all intents and purposes, he was groomed to become the Unknown Eidolon leader he is now.

Sabah practically growled and mumbled at the same time, tapping his foot impatiently and picking at the peeling skin from his most recently etched tattoo. The sensation with each pull of the skin brought a little satisfaction, which soon added to his irritation as he realized that he was debasing himself by indulging in such a carnal pleasure just to satiate his mortal boredom. Unforgivable, he’d have to offset this later in the mid-day corrective meditation.

Tsk. All because nobody listened when he insisted a larger and more robust defensive system was needed. So what that it would take a rotation of 20 different jounin every 48 hours? Today sucked and no amount of “I told you so” was going to make it better, not that he needed days to be good. It wasn’t self-soothing he needed, it was to get the fuck out of here and back to work. If only one of these damned beaurocrats would authorize the resources and assistants he requested.

He could practically hear his grandfather’s ashes whipping angrily through the wind, as a great son of Kari was taken from important research just to sit here and wait. It had been a whole… oh. He’d only been here for five minutes. … Light help me.

doesn't really matter, also could add weapons and more jutsu, but it's past the deadline for the war so i can't. i'll just wait until after lamevasion to finish polishing the profile if he's still alive

The user will perform the necessary hand seals, and form this seal on their target. While this seal is active, the target is incapable of falling asleep or falling unconscious regardless of circumstances. Once used for torture, this technique allows the user to expend all of their chakra without falling unconscious. Instead, they remain conscious up until the moment they're so strained of chakra that they die. Like somebody that never sleeps and eventually dies, because a body needs sleep


edit: this is on hold. If Onu's still not voice of god by the time the invasion starts, this character isn't being submitted in time to participate in the event. instead i'll be waiting so that i have the proper amount of time to make it a real character with proper write ups and a full jutsu set.

edited slightly to make it more clear wording-wise, but the point is no, he'd just die. The jutsu uses the chakra thats keeping him alive to power the jutsu instead of keeping the user just barely alive, thus making it so either the user stays awake or they're so out of chakra that they die

Charge Fuuinjutsu • Unflappable <- I don't think you should be able to just straight up negate debuffs like this and even if you could it seems higher than B rank

Can I get an official staff ruling on that fuuinjutsu then? There's nothing i see in fuuinjutsu rules to make either of those comments be the case. And i'm pretty sure i've seen other fuuin that completely and efforltessly negate debuffs like this

so based on how strong this fuuin is, at it's current iteration, it would have to be S-rank. It would have to note that it is ninjutsu based debuffs as well. If you want to keep it to B rank then it could be written as the first 3 debuffs can be ignored. (use better phrasing since mine is awful). Or if 3 is too low, you could move it up to A-rank and have it resist the first 5 debuffs. Up to you.

edited, put it up to A rank and since this makes it more temporary, added in an on/off switch while also explaining resetting the 5 requires performing the jutsu again, lmk if that's too much change.

"While this seal is active, the target is incapable of being affected by any debuffs the first five times they would have been affected otherwise. The seal can be turned off and on within a thread without additional chakra cost, but resetting the # of debuffs resisted will require re-casting and charging of the technique."
