Traditions.There are no secrets within the Clan. Everyone sees one another as their closest of kin, and due to such strong bonds secrets of clan members never see the light of day outside of the clan. They keep each others secrets safe, and by doing so they keep each other safe. They are a clan and a community that relies on each and every member for their skills and abilities to support the clan in whatever way they can. The clan members abilities awaken around the age of around 6. The awakening of an ability is a great celebration which the clan takes very seriously. The celebration is a form of a test and trial for the newly awakened member and comprises a number of test the clan turns into an event.

History.The Ikigai clan started began around the dawn of the Shinobi era. They were simple people who did not have a fixed location, instead they roamed the lands, offering their skills to villages and nations for payment. Due to majority of their business coming from Sunagakure, they eventually settled there. The founders of the Clan, or rather, the first of the clan were all individuals gifted with combat skill. This provided them with great advantage in battle, and proved them useful in any skirmishes they found themselves in.

Although they are skilled fighters, they long for a calm a peaceful life. Their way of life is about bonding with their kin, discipline, and physical activity. This has granted them an above average life span, with natural deaths not occurring until the ages of around a hundred.
