Traits: The Enkouten have naturally rough hair in the red-yellow color spectrum, allowing it to range from bright reds or yellows, moderate oranges or even dark browns but they are incapable of having any mixture with blue colors. Their eyes are different colors than their hair though still confined to the red-yellow spectrum and their arcus, the ring between the pupil and the iris of the eyes, glows brightly and matches the color of their hair.
Enkouten are dark skinned and are not slight or weak-looking, even if they are physically underwhelming on a personal basis. Superior musculature and years of evolutionary preference have given them strong, sharp facial features and well defined bodies, in addition to above-average height for their age and sizes across the board.
Clan Traditions, Customs and CultureShow
The Enkouten are descendents of one of the original tribes of Rock Country that was primarily nomadic and migratory between Bird, Grass and Rock Country depending on seasons or food supplies. They are therefore a mixed breed when it comes to ancestry and customs, having developed outside of Rock Country and when they returned they brought their mixed experiences with them.
Enkouten roots are still very nomadic and while they dwell in Iwgakure they are not easily accustomed to village life, often preferring working within the clan for the majority of their lives and supporting the village through this or Shinobi activities. Enkouten are expected to be able to farm or hunt their own daily bread, maintain their own housing and support their immediate family by their mid-teens as best as they are able to. Laziness, disrespect and abusive behavior is not tolerated by Enkouten and discipline is harsh with lashings and 'pit fights' where the eldest members of the family fight the offender being commonplace among stricter families.
A very traditionally rooted clan the Enkouten are prideful and strong, holding many customs and beliefs that are geared towards this mindset. Any trade or skill an Enkouten takes on they hold a memento from this field, usually their first or best work or trophy, for example a hunter might make a ring of ivory out of the first deer he hunted, or a bear claw necklace from a victorious bear hunt while a craftsman might wear his first experimental piece or a beautiful trinket he crafted through nights of dedication. An Enkouten has usually acquired a fair few of these by their late adult years and those that don't are either those dedicated to a single craft above all others or those who've fallen behind, the latter group usually being treated with disdain.
Naturally used to producing their own tools and equipment on a large scale the Enkouten are capable forgers and smiths, operating a large smelting complex inside Iwagakure that refines metals on large scales using their inherent affinity with lava and flames. In addition to this the Enkouten are surprisingly excellent chefs possessing many recipes that include delicacies from other countries and natural Rock Country foodstuffs that is almost universally spicy and robust with earthen flavors.
The Enkouten do not believe in wasting a life, even unrepentant criminals having their uses amongst their ranks. Basic offenses such as theft or assault are treated on an honor basis between the victim and the offender, while more excessive or heinous crimes are responded to in kind. Public humiliation of the offender is commonplace with public combat also being a typical punishment for this kind of offense, but the most despicable of Enkouten suffer a worse fate. They are branded with chakra suppressant seals and immediately transferred to Iwagakure custody to be used as slaves.
Gender politics also form from the central ideology of all having an equal place, each member of the clan expected to do roles that other clans would confine to specific genders; Fathers raise children just as often as mothers and women are just as dangerous in combat as men but the list often extends past such simple perceptions. The development of skills is important to the Enkouten, ensuring each individual member is not only capable of supporting multiple facets of the clan but also capable of passing those skills down among the family. This means that not only is it encouraged that women and men explore their talents but that there is little prejudice for being unique or different. The Enkouten are amazingly progressive, but this only reflects so far as to those actively improving themselves. Those who are odd or weird without having redeeming qualities or skills are treated very poorly and usually outcast or punished before long.

They dress fairly comfortably no matter their station or situation, preferring warm woolen pants and thick shirts and typically wearing various light cloth wraps over it; Waist shrouds, ponchos, cloaks, hoods, even traveling robes and coats are not uncommon among any Enkouten. The exception is Enkouten Shinobi who typically dress as others of their rank or station within Iwagakure's military, with the exception of keeping their preference for cloth wraps. Hair adornments are also popular among either gender, obsidian beads and strings woven in intricate patterns meant to symbolize status, age or profession known by all Enkouten and worn as marks of pride.

Brand Band:The Enkouten frequently use and practice with customized weaponry that incorporates obsidian glass fragments, chips or edging, due to it's abundance as a byproduct of their element. This preference fuels the taijutsu and kenjutsu tactics they use, which necessitate the avoidance of contact with anything hard and the use of single, damaging strikes to unprotected skin for maximum damage to avoid catastrophic damage to the obsidian. They do not, however, make entire weapons or tools out of obsidian due to it's natural fragility.A specialized piece of cloth worn by the Enkouten, this specially made band is roughly the size and shape of a bandana but maroon or crimson in color and treated to be resistant to heat, weather and damage from natural sources. Inside this band is a shorthand code of the Enkouten's name, family relation, skills they've learned and rank as a Shinobi. This band is incredibly special to the Enkouten who owns it and all are taught to protect it with their lives, as it is a record of them that will remain after them.

The Enkouten are what might be considered fanatics for Iwagakure's progress, as before they revealed their unique mutations they could find no permanent home except with the hardy and stern Rock Ninja. The Enkouten are a relatively new clan in Iwagakure's history, being part of the village for only three generations of the clan and would normally be in transition from old clan values to Village loyalty and customs. Instead the Enkouten preserve their individual and clan talents while actively upholding the values of Iwagakure.
Militaristic by simple virtue of their customs and emphasis on developing one's self, the Enkouten have a mandatory policy that all members of the clan must attend the Academy. Even those with no latent talent in the shinobi arts are still given Academy-level classes in the basics of combat, shinobi tools, chakra and every facet of basic shinobi life. All Enkouten have a standing promise to Iwagakure that during times of strife or trial, even non-Shinobi Enkouten will take up arms as a sort of de-facto militia.

Enkouten Housing Compound; OkazanShow
The Enkouten compound of Okazan is half a home for their clan and half a metal refinery, merging both aspects into one building they take great pride in having built themselves from standing rocks and stone when they arrived in Iwagakure. The building is roughly seven stories tall and takes up a good quarter mile space in the area it was erected, a place sitting on the 'border' of the shadow districts and the clan housing of Iwagakure. The building is made of rough hewn rock and stone supports shaped into immense domes that have buildings inside them, each dome possessing several ventilation slots along it's radius to allow the heat to escape from their forging. There are four central domes and smaller out-cropping domes, with one taller dome rising from the center of each central dome which is severely ventilated and is the spire of the compound.
The ground floor of Okazan is where refined metals are processed by Enkouten and shipped back into Iwagakure proper as well as where raw materials are taken in for smelting. It also has sections for clan offices, guest quarters, many meeting rooms and a series of demonstration arenas for techniques, combat or even performances. The clan's actual sleeping and living quarters are located underneath the ground floor, three stories worth of such things being located underground while six stories of vertical room are used exclusively for the processing, refinement and storage. Strangely the Enkouten do not keep these areas a secret and while they are guarded to keep materials flowing, the Enkouten are noted for their employment of other Iwagakure citizens and clan members, not limiting the handling to Enkouten hands though with few exceptions they do primarily handle the actual smelting themselves.

History
The Enkouten are a primarily nomadic clan hailing from a mixed bag of Rock, Bird and Grass country roots that have given them a unique identity but little place among most groups until recently when they migrated en masse to Iwagakure. Renowned even before their integration for their high skill in chakra usage and the natural development of their Fusion element, some consider them descendents of Iwagakure's ancestors or perhaps a satellite village or group that lost contact with the village proper, which some records support. Whatever their origins however the Enkouten have rooted themselves in Iwagakure completely and show absolute loyalty to their hosts.
Shinobi Information Definitions:
Youton:Youton, also known as Lava Release, is an elemental fusion that combines Doton and Katon to make a super heated lava based style. Youton flows like a fluid, but has a semi-solid quality to it that is further refined by its super-heated nature. Youton melts in all its techniques, making it a powerful offensive and defensive ability. Enkouton are resistant to Youton for short periods of time, but can be just as damaged by it as a normal person, even by their own techniques, if exposed for too long. The melting quality of Youton burns at such an high temperature that it tends to encapsulate everything in it's path. Despite this, however, weaker youton jutsu struggle to sustain themselves and tend to only give weaker burns to those who come in contact with it. Youton have been known to dull weapons, or even melt weapons at high levels, and flow through defensive jutsu. More importantly, the melting power of youton means that youton techniques passively reduce the strength of anything they're in contact with by 1/4th th strength of the youton jutsu per post after contact. This means a 20 strength youton technique would do 20 strength of damage at impact, then melt at 5 strength per post until it hardened. This allows youton jutsu to substantially weaken defenses over time. Like Katon, Youton [Burns] with [Strength].

The length of a jutsu is a given, but can be specified to be less than the listed amount should the user so desire. After performing a string of hand seals, the user will kick one of their legs at the ground, skimming their foot just over the surface of the earth. Chakra at the bottom of the foot converts the ground into lava, splashing forward up to 10 meters with a speed equal to the user’s strength and an impact strength equal to the user’s control.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user will form a sphere of lava the size of a tennis ball in one hand. The sphere can be thrown and explodes on impact, with a blast radius of 10 meters in any direction, and a strength equal to the user’s control. This jutsu causes 1st degree burns. The lava hardens over the span of 3 posts, reducing the strength of impacted objects by 1 strength per post.

This causes a circular wall of lava to form directly around the user, shooting upwards from the ground with a speed and impact strength equal to the user’s control stat. After performing a string of hand seals, the user thrusts their hands forward, causing lava to burst from the ground 1 meter ahead of them. The lava then moves forward up to 10 meters with a speed and impact strength equal to the user’s control.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user will cover the surface of their body with Youton chakra. Physical contact with the user triggers the technique, causing lava to burst outwards from the point of contact with a speed and impact strength equal to the user’s control. This jutsu causes 1st degree burns. The lava hardens over the span of 3 posts, reducing the strength of impacted objects by 2 strength per post. The jutsu lasts until triggered or for 3 posts, at which point it dissipates harmlessly.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user will stomp on the ground to send a wave of Youton chakra rippling out in a 25 meter radius. This wave moves at a strength and speed equal to the user's control stat, potentially unbalancing nearby targets, and leaving puddles of Youton in its wake. These puddles remain for five posts and are five feet deep.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user will thrust one hand upwards causing a rush of Youton to burst from the ground within 25 meters of the user. This geyser is 10 feet wide and 5 feet high, moving at a speed and strength equal to the user's control stat. This lasts for 5 posts, hardening over those posts and causing first degree burns.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user will bring both hands back in fists to slam against their chest and launch into the sky, from their mouth, an orb of molten Youton lava the size of a basketball. This will trigger molten lava to rain down around the user in a 25 meter area the size of baseballs. The initially coughed lava is launched at, and the lava rains down at, strengths and speed equal to the user's control. This jutsu lasts for a total of 5 posts.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user will focus chakra into the ground through their feet. This infuses the ground with Youton chakra, creating a circular trap with a radius of 25 meters with the user at the center. If someone aside from the user were to step within the range, lava would burst upwards with a speed and strength equal to the user’s control stat, causing first degree burns.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user stomps on the ground and infuses it with Youton chakra within a 40 meter area with the caster at the center of this area. Spikes will begin to erupt from the ground, at random intervals and random locations within the area, at a strength and speed equal to the user's control stat, reaching a height of 15 meters before turning and coming back down to crash into the ground once more, potentially trapping anyone caught between the spikes. This jutsu lasts for a total of 7 posts.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user causes eight basketball sized orbs of Youton lava to circle them and the user is able to launch these orbs at a target within 40 meters of the user, at a strength and speed equal to the user's control stat. These orbs last for five posts before hardening and falling.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user infuses the ground beneath them with Youton chakra, covering a 40 meter area with the user at the center of this area. If anyone other than the user steps into this area the trap is triggered and Youton lava in the form of chains erupt from the ground at a strength and speed equal to the control stat of the user to attempt to wrap around and bind the target at the wrists and ankles. Contact with these Youton chains causes burns, severity strength of the burns is determined by the user's control stat, this lava hardens after five posts and becomes brittle.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user infuses the ground around them in a 40 meter area with Youton chakra, forming a series of large 2 meter diameter puddles to dot the landscape within this area. The puddles are five feet deep. From these puddles extend tentacles that are two meters tall, lashing out at any targets other than the user that come within reach of these tentacles, and attempt to drag them down into the puddles themselves. Contact with these tentacles will cause burns, the strength and severity of these burns based on the user's control stat, and they move at a strength and speed equal to the user's control stat.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user creates a form of Youton Clone that has the full stats of the user. They can use any Youton technique the user knows and as a unique feature it can sprout and launch tentacles from its body at a strength and speed equal to the control of the user. These tentacles have a base range of 40 meters.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user causes Youton lava to erupt from the ground on three sides of the target, rising at a strength and speed equal to the user's control stat to attempt to trap the target in a cone. Once the cone closes up the ground within will melt into molten lava and the cone will sink into the ground once more with the goal of trapping and dragging the target down in with it. This cone may be sprouted anywhere within 65 meters of the user.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user creates a cyclone of Youton lava that can move in any direction from the user within 65 meters. It stands 50 meters high at full size, which it does not reach until it is 30 meters out from the user, and creates a vortex that sucks any targets into its swirling lava heat to meet first degree burns that are within 30 meters of the formation. Once it reaches its max range it will remain for up to six posts before it hardens and becomes brittle to fall apart.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user slams their hands into the ground, causing a 2 meter crevice to open up in the ground in front of them. From this crevice comes running a swarm of roughly 25 Youton rats, taking off after any targets within a 65 meter area from the user. These rats carry an explosive property and may be triggered en masse by the user, or they will self-detonate after 6 posts.

After performing a string of hand seals, the user floods their body with Youton chakra, causing their body to give off a slight glow like lava as the chakra seeps from their pores. The user will radiate intense heat from their body, causing anyone within 30 meters of their body to experience first degree burns, anyone within 20 meters to experience second degree burns, and anyone within 10 meters to experience third degree burns. Likewise, anything they touch will experience fourth degree burns and any material they touch will turn to slag at their touch unless reinforced by another’s chakra. This jutsu has a duration of nine posts.

Sacrificing complexity for sheer size, the user performs a series of hand seals to infuse the ground beneath them with chakra. In a 150 meter area around the user, with the user at the epicenter, the ground melts into a lake of Youton lava, forming at a speed equal to the user's control stat and as deep as 10 meters. Coming into contact with this Youton causes third to fourth degree burns, being within two meters of this lava causes second to third degree burns.

The user performs a series of hand seals, forming a 50 meter diameter sphere 80 meters in the sky. On every post for a total of eight posts the user may use this sphere to draw from it a stream of Youton, with a diameter of 20 meters, to a target of their choice within 80 meters of this sphere, moving and striking at a speed and strength equal to the user's control stat. On the final post of its duration the user may send the sphere itself at a target of their choice at a speed and strength equal to their control stat.
