phpBB [video]
Age: Fourteen
Gender: Female
Height: 5’ 2’’ [160 cm]
Weight: 125 lbs [57 kg]

Physical Features: A short and slender young woman, Kiyoshi's stature belies her true toughness. While attractive, her shaven head, thin lips, and toned physique tend to disguise any natural charm, exacerbated by a preference for robed clothing that conceals her modest bust. Despite a rough childhood her pale skin is relatively free of scars or lasting injuries, though she's no stranger to sets of nasty bruises from persistent training regimes. Her eyes are a vivid and expressive green. While she keeps her head shaved, anyone who knew her as a child or who glimpses her before shaving will know that she is a natural redhead. Since her union with the Ukiyogenma, a narrow band of gold encircles the skin of her head like a tattoo, marking her for the presence of the phantom beast to those who know its traits.

Clothing & Accessories: Having become accustomed to a life among simple folk, Kiyoshi appreciates simplicity and function in attire. True to the style of the monks with whom she has lived, she typically wears a plain brown or grey wide-sleeved robe, tied about the waist with a sash of equally modest colour from which she secures her pouches and other equipment. While the robe is enveloping, it is designed specifically to allow freedom of movement and allows one to fight and train without hindrance.
Beneath the robe, she wears a thin, long-sleeved dark red jacket with a high standing collar and simple form-fitting black trousers. The only ornamentation she wears is the Kenitsuna family mark, a small 1-centimetre diameter gold disc with the number '5' imprinted into it, which is worn on a simple chain of interconnected bronze links around her right wrist.

Personality: On the inside, Kiyoshi is passionate and fiery, though her stifled upbringing and disciplined tutelage have nowadays succeeded at quenching a large part of that fervour. Nevertheless, she remains a tenacious and determined young woman, protective of her country and ideals, and ambitious in terms of her own growth and capabilities; while she is not arrogant, she revels in challenging herself and chasing success in the name of bettering her own abilities.
She resents the idea of being treated differently from her peers, whether it be due to gender, age, size, birth station or simple ability. Conversely, she highly values any genuine recognition she receives, and will respect those who she sees as good, honest people. She dislikes being idle or cooped up, much preferring to be outside in the fresh air and with something to occupy her. She has grown accustomed to a simple life and the lack of luxury that brings, and is quite satisfied with crude accommodations, plain food, short nights and long days of hard work.
Ultimately, Kiyoshi fears solitude and abandonment. Since she grew up with very few people with whom she could share a genuine bond, she now relishes a life wherein she has friends and comrades around her—and the thought of being alienated or abandoned by them panics her. She does not cope well with rejection or failure and will stubbornly chase after acceptance and success wherever possible.

”To most people, a name is a precious thing. It’s not just a label, or an asset, but a gateway to who we are, as if by knowing it one can also know the mind and soul of the one who owns it. It might be true for those people, but it’s not so with Her. She collects them like cloaks. Each have their own story, but none will tell you who She is without knowing about every one—and She has many, for one so young. Even then, mind, She’s so much more than just a collection of names. But they are the beginning. A beginning.”
— Hirano Sousa, Yamabushi no Tsuin Sangaku

”I suppose I must start my story at the beginning. The name of the beginning is Kenitsuna Kadō. I’m sure you’ve known men like him. Every village has at least one. He’s a member of the third family of the Kenitsuna, but whatever notions you have about Kenitsuna honour or chivalry—forget them. This is not a man that deserves respect, least of all that of his kin. Oh, he puts on all the right smiles and goes through the motions, trying to convince the world that he’s a dutiful and loyal Kenitsuna soldier, and everyone laps it up, but don’t be fooled. Let me tell you as one who sees the real He: He is a liar, a cheat, and a taint upon the name of men who has room in his heart only for himself. When my mother became pregnant, only the coincidental intervention of another Kenitsuna stopped Kadō from casting her out onto the streets. It would have been better for her if she had been. I was not wanted. She was not wanted. Who wants a servant—a slave—who cannot work, who is a constant reminder of one’s own indiscretion?

“That’s right: She was a slave. That makes me an unwanted bastard. It’s almost funny that it makes me a Kenitsuna too. Fifth family, of course—so it doesn’t count for much—but a Kenitsuna even so. They called me Kiyoshi, and gave unto me a golden coin with the number ‘5’ stamped into it to remind me of my ‘station’. Or lack of. But just because I bore the house name and my mother was not abandoned, do not think for a moment that we were spared any compassion within Kadō’s home. My name protected me from the worst, but she didn’t get that luxury. And yet, for all her great qualities, I think some part of her always loved the master that ruined her; she stayed for me, I know, but somehow I think she couldn’t have left even if I’d not been there too.
And yes—my mother was a kind and loving woman. The kindest, and most caring I’ve ever known. She was my light in the darkness. I lived on the brink between two worlds, not
really a Kenitsuna and so scorned by them, but just enough of one to set me apart from the servants and slaves among whom I lived. Both sides resented me, and so I grew up afraid of everyone except my mother. I have no shame in admitting that.

“You should understand, then, how hard it struck me when she disappeared. Enough time has passed now that I can speak of it, though it took many years. I say ‘
disappeared’ like I don’t know what happened to her—Kadō probably got tired of her, or too attached to her, maybe, or possibly just saw an opportunity to rid himself of an annoyance—and that was that. No one seemed to care. He was the master of the house. Unquestionable and irreproachable. It happened when I was six, while we were away from the village visiting some Ashtagura shrine or another out in the mountains beyond Minami no Kabe. I wandered among Kadō’s entourage for two days and nights searching for her. I prayed to The Hunter at the shrine. I searched among the camp, among the rocks and the bushes. Nothing. No help came, and I knew, inside, that she was gone. And it crushed me. When Kadō’s party departed back to Iwagakure, few noticed that I was not among their number. Fewer cared.

“When one’s only light is snuffed out, only numbness remains, and I embraced it as the only thing left to me. I don’t remember much of the days or weeks that followed—but I wandered. I didn’t much care where, though I did quickly figure out that I didn’t want to be found. I began moving by night and hiding during the day. I hid away my Kenitsuna charm and, for the first time, took a new name.
Aki, since that was Her name—Akiko. It also means autumn, which I found fitting, seeing as it came as my light dimmed to darkness. As Aki, I could pretend that I wasn’t an insignificant stain on the name of a powerful house. I was a free spirit, master of myself, and not just the unwanted, half-starved waif that Kiyoshi had become. Kiyoshi was numb, overwhelmed, weak. Aki was resourceful, alive, and new.

“I remember trying to survive by foraging and hunting, and I remember more sharply the hunger. I tried stealing, and usually got caught. Once or twice people tried to help me, but they always asked so many questions. Kiyoshi didn’t want to be found, and Aki didn’t need their help, and so I kept running. I took to the wilds of Tsuchi no Kuni, into the forests and valleys that rarely see people. Eventually, that led me to the Tsuin Sangaku.”

“She came to us in autumn. Fire-haired and fire-hearted,
she called herself Aki. Though we soon found out her
real name, she was still just Aki to us. Earnest and bold,
and tougher than any child has a right to be. She became
one of us.”
“I was both intrigued and afraid when I first found them. A collection of men and women, walking in a steady line through a forest glade, all wearing the same drab brown robes. They had a… stillness about them, despite the fact that they were walking. Stillness and silence. That’s what made me hesitate. It felt like stumbling into something from a dream—a place where I didn’t belong. Kiyoshi wanted to run and hide, but Aki knew they weren’t there for her. The wilds were her place, and these intruders were a puzzle. Aki won the argument, of course, so I followed the group through the forests. I heard them talk of strange things, a ‘presence’, an ‘aura’, a ‘purge’, among many other topics that I couldn’t understand, before they arrived at their destination. It was a small cave, lost in the deepest depths of the forests, in an area I’d never ventured—and for good reason, because the very air seemed to lie heavy around the area with a sense of foreboding. It was stifling, and oppressive, and full of secrets.

“The strange group entered the little cave without wasting a moment. I hung back, hiding, because even though I was curious to the point of foolishness, I wasn’t stupid enough to go following where I couldn’t see. Not long after they ventured in, the inner walls of the cave began to light up with flashes and bursts of light from deeper inside, revealing a tunnel winding down into the earth. I heard their voices again, but the stillness was gone from them—they were cries of panic and struggle. It was clear even to my child’s eyes that a battle was happening inside—I thought that maybe they were bandits, or ninja hunting bandits, and I’d just crossed paths with an ambush. I turned to leave, hoping to scurry far away before anyone returned from the cave, but then something..
unusual struck me.

“It hit me like a wave, a rush of ice-cold emotion rising from what had been a calm lake a second before. It was
emotion, raw and unchained; fear, anger, lust. Panic and desperation. Needless to say, the mind of a seven-year-old, even one as broken as mine, posed little resistance to such a sudden onslaught of feeling. I was consumed by an instinct to run—but not away from the cave, to safety, as I’d planned, but rather into its depths. I remember thinking that it felt like a fish-hook lodged in my chest, pulling me forward with an invisible string, and the string grew stronger with every step forward.

“The rest of that story I can only tell in fragments, pieced together from the accounts of the men inside. I reached the bottom of the cave, walking as if in a trance, and there passed through a narrow crevice into a natural chamber beyond. Within, the various men and women fought with all their bitter strength against something vast and unknowable. A half-real beast, spectral and shimmering blue, white, green, like a moving reflection in the ice of a frozen pond, lay struggling against spectral chains and shackles that tried to bind it. The group of humans surrounded it, wielding lines of shimmering maroon that seemed to appear from nowhere. The beast
howled, a terrible, soul-wrenching cry that pierced my mind… and I howled with it. It filled my mind, urging me onward, controlling me. I rushed at the nearest man as the group noticed my arrival with shock and horror. I don’t know what would’ve happened if I’d reached the man I ran at—just as I closed to within a few paces, their strange ritual reached its climax. A dome of constricting maroon energy engulfed the beast then, like a candle snuffed, forced it from our world. The presence that dominated my mind vanished instantly… but so did something else. It felt like a claw lodged into my very being was torn away as the beast was forced out, dragging a piece of me with it. At the same moment as the spirit was banished, I fell unconscious, eyes glazed and staring.”

“Consciousness returned slowly. I hung for a long time in what felt like a state of limbo, awake and yet not. When I eventually came back to myself, I found a simple bed beneath me and plain, stone walls on every side, lit by shafts of sun reaching through a glassless window. I wasn’t alone. For the first time in what seemed like forever, I wasn’t alone. His name was Hirano Sousa, and I half-remembered him as one of the silent figures from the forest, and now he was watching over me.

“‘Kind’ wasn’t the right word for him. He didn’t nurse me or ask endless streams of questions like most people seemed to do. He didn’t force me to eat, or to rest, or to do anything, really. He was just
there, stoic, reliable—almost like a piece of furniture. Though he did talk. He told me about the events in the cave, first, and how his brothers and sisters brought me back with them. He didn’t scold me for intruding on their hunt, but neither did he apologise for happened after—it was on me. My action, my consequence. He told me about his Order, the Tsuin Sangaku—the “Twin Mountains”, representing the paired physical and spiritual realms or, written a different way, “a living thing”—and how they were Yamabushi, seekers of spirits and protectors of the physical realm from the influence of the Other side. They lived like hermits, simple ascetics in their mountain shrine—though he eventually explained that they were an organisation sanctioned by Iwagakure. Each of them were shinobi—or retired shinobi, in some cases—who specialised in spiritual knowledge and ninjutsu of a similar domain.

“With the passing days, I became used to Sousa’s presence. He was refreshingly unassuming, never pressing or judging what little I told him in return. I think that’s why I stayed. I soon realised that these strange monks had a fear that I’d been possessed by the spirit that they’d been hunting, and that it may have fled into
me instead of back to its own world; Sousa was with me to make sure that wasn’t true, rather than to help me recover. Oddly, that took some of the pressure and attention off of me directly. I recovered quickly, aside from a few nightmares and half-remembered flashbacks, and the monks allowed me to leave… but I didn’t. I realised I had nowhere to go. And, for the first time in my life, I was somewhere that, perhaps, I thought I could belong. Beside stoic Sousa and the stillness. They told me that the only ones who lived there were the monks themselves, and the students and servants that maintained their shrine—and so I joined them.

“They smiled and sought to show me that it was not a comfortable life, working me hard each day with menial chores. Hauling water, scrubbing floors, pulling weeds, boiling rice, beating sheets… In some ways, it was like living among the servants back in Kadō’s home, except here there were no sneers, and no pushing or tripping when I tried to carry a heavy basket. I was
good at menial work—I’d done it all my life—but here it was actually recognised. Little lost Kiyoshi began to come back to me, and in the evenings I’d slip back into her while listening to Sousa ramble his tenets and mantras. It was comforting. Eventually, they realised I would not be chased away, and let me join their order as a student. They shaved my head, stole all my clothes except for a drab brown robe, coarse and simple, and gave me my newest name. Aki and Kiyoshi became one: Kohi.

“They told me it means ‘little flame’. A simple observation, really, given my red hair and short stature, though I later realised it was also picked for its similarity in sound to my birth name, something that the monks try to maintain. I have to admit that I also developed a bit of a fiery disposition now that I was in an environment where I could actually be myself. I was eager for a challenge, and took well to the rigorous physical and mental disciplines that they lived by.

“My story could have ended there, quite happily, if it weren’t for the nightmares. They stayed with me, never consistent, but never vanishing entirely. The first time one came while I was
awake, I ran to Sousa. I thought I was hallucinating, that maybe my mind was failing under the harsh hermit lifestyle the monks lived with… But the reality was much scarier. When I dreamed, I did not always dream of our world alone. I walked among shadows formed from unseen bodies, or in landscapes that didn’t—couldn’t—exist. I heard voices in my mind that stirred faint memories of a cave in a dark forest glade. Sousa and his brothers took me back there, and watched me.

“And they were right to. There, where the barrier between worlds was thin, supposedly, I could
feel something else. Like my hand was pressed up against the surface of a bubble that couldn’t be touched, yet was immovable. And I heard Them. I spoke, and They heard me, understood me. And they called me Hōrōsha—‘Wanderer’. Sousa and his brothers told me later that they had been sensing me, and detected in me a trace of spiritual energy. Not a spirit itself, but a connection to that realm.

“I didn’t quite know how to take it. I wasn’t crazy, which was a plus, but at the same time… A small part of me—not the physical me, but part of my mind, my ‘essence’, they said—had been dragged close to the spiritual realm during the events in that forest cave. They explained that I likely existed in that world—just partially, like a shadow, or a reflection—as well as this one, only much weaker. It was then that I decided to truly become like them. Not a mountain-bound hermit, mind, but a real ninja. Someone who could learn and master the strange cards that life had dealt me, who could understand spirits and the connection I had unwittingly gained to their world. It was time to be a Kenitsuna again. I still had the little ‘bastard’ charm.

"I was eight when I returned to Iwagakure with Sousa's help. He pulled some strings to set me up with a guardian to help direct my training and, of course, it ended up being a Kenitsuna. One that I didn’t know, thankfully. A fourth family member who understood a little about humility. His name was Kenitsuna Koetsu, and I’m glad to say we got along well enough. I helped keep his house in order and promised to work hard, and agreed to repay him once I could earn; in return, he gave me that chance, and treated me like a human being. Coming from the House, that meant a lot. I entered the academy and realised that all my days of labour among the Sangaku were nothing but a rehearsal for the real deal. It was tough, and I had a lot to learn, but I also had a goal to realise. That gave me determination and helped drive me forward, and I managed to graduate by the time I was ten.

“As a Genin, I tried to balance my training. I was no stranger to physical challenge and endurance, and could therefore handle myself a fight. I was fascinated by ninjutsu and its endless applications, and learnt to use suiton—something that, it turns out, is surprisingly uncommon among the village genin and earned me some small level of respect. Genjutsu baffled me, but I kept at it until I could grasp the basics and understand how powerful a tool it could be, as well as when and where to use it. All the while, however, I had my sights set on Tenkujutsu.
That was an uphill struggle.

“It took another two years for me to succeed there, and by that time I was strong enough to attempt my chuunin exams. I surprised even myself by passing on my first attempt. My defensive use of suiton allowed me to work well with another genin to fight against a chuunin for the first part of my exam, and the mental exercises that followed were nothing to one who’d studied among the monks of the Tsuin Sangaku.

"The new rank and responsibility gave me new freedoms, and with the discovery of Iwagakure's vast subterranean Catacombs, it was there I ventured first, along with one other. Shortly afterwards, a sudden visitor called me before the village council themselves and gave me a task greater than any before, and one that only I could take: To be the host of the fabled Nolosha, Phantom Beast of Life. To become Shukushu no Kiyoshi: Kiyoshi the Container. It was my duty to accept, and in a sealing chamber far beneath the village, our minds and wills fought and joined as one. It is yet a volatile union. We are one, but not of one purpose. But I will immerse myself in this secret, and I will prevail. I am Kenitsuna Kiyoshi. And I will
live.”

Combat Mentality: Kiyoshi is a perceptive and methodical fighter, able to analyse opponents as she fights and adjust her combat preferences to increase her odds of success. Proficient in many areas of the shinobi arts, she excels with ninjutsu and makes frequent use of her natural affinity with suiton to counter, block, and overcome her foes.

Abilities (2/3):
Planar Duality:

Following a brief moment of possession by a hostile spirit, during which the offending beast was forcefully banished from the physical world, a small part of Kiyoshi’s being now exists within the spiritual realm. This incorporeal trace of her mind and body, existing like a shadow of herself reflected into the other world, delivers unto Kiyoshi a myriad of unusual side-effects.

The most apparent of these is an uncanny connection to and understanding of spiritual entities on a level unprecedented among other humans, allowing Kiyoshi to communicate with the minds of all spirits, and by extension their hosts. This can be enhanced with the use of techniques to achieve feats such as extracting or implanting information, projecting herself into the mind of a spirit or host, altering emotions and personalities, or gauging mental and physical attributes. If the mastery (if present, if not, control) stat of the target host or spirit is equal to or greater than Kiyoshi's control, this mental connection can be resisted.

Kiyoshi's connection to the spiritual realm allows her to draw closer to and cross the boundary between realms. Without training, this traversal can occur unintentionally, appearing to her as nightmares, hallucinations, and visions. However with practice and the use of dedicated techniques, she can manipulate the connection to intentionally see into, physically access, and communicate across the spiritual realm. Such actions cause spiritual energies to cascade into Kiyoshi's body, filling her with a sense of enlightenment and spiritual harmony while taxing her physical body. As a result, such techniques share a cooldown period of two posts (D or C-rank), three posts (B or A-rank), or four posts (S rank) before similar techniques can be used again.

However, due to her partial physical connection to the spiritual realm she exudes a unique signature to chakra sensory techniques. If sensed, her signature will betray hints of a spiritual component, making her easy to identify. [/quote]

Jinchuuriki:
Kiyoshi has been chosen by Iwagakure to be the living host of Nolosha no Ukiyogenma, the Phantom Beast of Life. The presence of the beast sealed within her grants her the ability to create and manipulate life energy. The presence of the Genma has caused Kiyoshi's natural chakra colour to become gold, and a narrow permanent band of gold now encircles her forehead.

Forms Attained: Base Form

Concentrations (6/18):
Ninjutsu (1/3):
Suiton:
Suiton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Suiton and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Suiton affinity. Suiton has a passive enveloping effect.
Passive (Enveloping)Show
Suiton's effect is enveloping, meaning that suiton passively surrounds anything that it makes contact with. Suiton techniques that do not last over periods of times (i.e, exploding techniques) drench their opponents, but long term techniques will envelop anything they come in contact with and maintain a hold on it with the 3/4th strength of the technique, rounded down. This means that if a suiton wave is shot forward with 17 strength, it will envelope and move anything with it that does not have more than 12 strength to resist it. This allows Suiton to fill a very powerful role in eliminating tools from opponent's access and capturing targets.
Taijutsu (2/3):
Close Quarters Combat:
The fundamental skill of [Close Quarters Combat] indicates the user's proficiently to efficiently use martial arts and advanced combat moves involving the body, for example but not limited to, advanced kicks, grapples, advanced punches, etc.
Rigid Structure:
The fundamental skill of [Rigid Structure] describes the user’s ability to adeptly position and lock in their skeletal structure to efficiently absorb blows with minimal damage to their person. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Genjutsu (2/2):
Sight Initiation:
This user has learned to use visual cues to initiate genjutsu. Allowing them to perform actions, or draw the eyes to something to capture their targets in a genjutsu.
Sound Initiation:
This user has learned to use sound cues to initiate genjutsu. Allowing them to create sounds and sustain sounds to capture their targets in a genjutsu.
Other (1):
Tenkujusu:
The users of this style have a strong affinity towards spirits and are able to utilize certain chakra techniques based off of spirits. Those with the affinity have a Maroon color tint to their chakra when using these techniques. Tenkujutsu techniques fall underneath their own pyramid, and do not have ties to Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, or Genjutsu.

Equipment:
  • 1x Bo staff. On the outside, Kiyoshi’s bo staff appears to be a rudimentary weapon; an undecorated 1600mm long, 25 mm diameter staff constructed from a single straight piece of shaved and polished hardwood. Hidden inside, however, the staff features a 10mm core of a flexible and lightweight steel alloy, providing the weapon with significantly greater strength, as well as increasing its weight to produce a more damaging weapon. Furthermore, the staff contains a detachable joint in the middle of its length, allowing Kiyoshi to separate it into two exact halves by sending a small surge of her chakra into the weapon. The same method allows her to seamlessly restore the two halves into a whole.
  • 6x Steel kunai. Stored on Kiyoshi’s waist in a pouch
  • 12x Steel 5-pronged shuriken. Half are kept at Kiyoshi’s waist in a pouch. The remaining six are divided between her sleeves and ankles, allowing swift access from a range of positions.
  • 8x Explosive tags. Stored on Kiyoshi’s waist in a pouch
  • 4x Flash tags. Stored on Kiyoshi’s waist in a pouch
  • 3x Smoke tags. Stored on Kiyoshi’s waist in a pouch.

Ninjutsu:
NinpouShow
*[Ninjutsu • Chakra Burst]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into one of their fists, the user will then attempt to strike their target and if successful, they will release additional concussive force in the form of an outward explosion at D-Rank force from their fist. If the user does not strike a target within 3 posts the jutsu dissipates.

*[Ninjutsu • Wall]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user causes a thin 3x3 meter flat barrier to form directly in front of them at a speed of 5. This barrier can take a hit of up to 5 strength before shattering, otherwise it lasts for 3 posts.

*[Ninjutsu • Multiple Chakra Kai]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Despite requiring both hands and more time than *[Basic Jutsu • Chakra Kai], Multiple Chakra Kai allows the user to activate up to five objects simultaneously, up to 20 + (Control/2) meters away.
SuitonShow
*Suiton • Defensive Barrier
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will spray water created from the inside of their chest through their mouth. Once the water is expelled, it will form an umbrella shape that is concave to the user and about two meters in diameter. This defense is somewhat solid and can be formed in any direction the user can spit, up to five meters away. The defense is shot at a speed of 5 and has a strength of 5 and unless completely destroyed it lasts for three posts before falling lifelessly to the ground.

*Suiton • Water Shuriken
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a shuriken of water that can be thrown approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hand. When kai'd, this shuriken explodes with a force equal to a D-Rank explosion and covers the immediate area in water. If not consumed, this technique lasts for three posts.

Suiton • Water Orb Technique
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will form a dense ball of water approximately 6 centimetres in diameter in their hands. Upon lurching forward, they will physically throw the orb towards an opponent up to 10 meters away. Upon contact with a target, the orb will burst a strength of 5 and drench the immediate area.

*Suiton • Propel Leap
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into their hands the user will fire two jets of water from their hand, essentially hurling and propelling themselves in the opposite direction of their jets as if thrown by a strength of 5. Can be used once to throw themselves with 5 strength.

Suiton • Aquaskates
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By performing a short set of hand seals and concentrating suiton chakra to their feet, the user reduces their friction upon the ground while moving. This provides a +3 boost to speed at a cost of -3 to taijutsu due to the difficulty in controlling oneself while moving.

Suiton • Rainstorm
D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu
The user performs a string of hand seals before raising an arm to the sky and sending out a diffuse pulse of suiton chakra into any clouds within a quarter-mile range. On the next post a gentle rain shower will begin within this range. The rain grows heavier on the third post, and will cease at the end of the fifth post after use.

*Suiton • Rain Gun
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user expels three 3 2-centimeter diameter droplets of water from their mouth in quick succession, each of which explode with a force of one D-Rank explosion each on impact, scattering water all over the immediate area. These droplets fly up to 15 meters away at a speed of 5.

*Suiton • Clone
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user creates a clone of themselves comprised completely of suiton chakra. This clone is incapable of jutsu, however it's liquid nature makes it a very capable taijutsu combatant. This clone lasts for 5 posts.
  • Taijutsu: 6
  • Stamina: 8
  • Strength: 7
  • Speed: 6
*Suiton • Crashing Wave
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user expels a massive tidal wave of water 10 meters wide and nearly 5 meters tall. This wave travels forward at a speed of 10 and with a strength of 10 for up to 15 meters before losing it's steam and failing.

Suiton • Tidal Strike
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After completing the required hand seals, the user will concentrate suiton chakra into a fist before punching towards a target. As the punching motion completes—regardless of whether contact is made—the suiton chakra will surge forward in a concentrated blast of water at a speed of 2 and with a strength of 18. The water erupts from the user’s fist in a cone that extends five metres away from the user, three metres in diameter at its widest point.

Suiton • Geyser Manoeuvre
C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Ninjutsu 15

After forming the needed hand seals the user will cause a sudden jet of water to burst from the ground nearby at a speed of 10, erupting with enough force to send any humanoid target (or target of similar or lower weight) with a strength of 20 or lower up to 15 metres into the air. By angling the source of the jet the user can direct the force, making the technique useful to force an opponent away or to augment their own movement by launching themselves towards a target.

Suiton • Touch of the Depths
C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Ninjutsu 15

The user performs a series of hand seals before sending out a pulse of suiton chakra into any nearby water sources, or creating sources to burst out of the ground, within a 15 metre range. At any point within this area the user can cause up to four water tentacles to appear and can control their movements at will to strike, grasp, or constrict opponents. Each tentacle is up to three metres in length and can move at a speed of 15, collectively striking and binding with 15 strength between them.

After performing the necessary hand seals the user sends out an imperceptible wave of raw Life energy, connecting their senses to other life forces within a 20 metre range. Within this area the user is able to detect the number and rough direction of all sources of human and animal life. Life sources smaller than that of a child require increased time and concentration to evaluate.

Lifesense
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Ukiyogenma Base Form

Forming a one-handed seal and making physical contact with a person or animal with the other hand, the user emits a pulse of Life energy into the target body. This technique allows the user to detect and evaluate the physiological health of the target. The sense lingers for three posts after breaking contact, allowing the user to remotely monitor the target’s condition so long as they remain within 20 metres.

Fountain of Youth
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Ukiyogenma Form One

The user will perform a series of hand seals before touching an animal or person and unleashing an uncontrolled burst of Life energy. The sudden rush of Life will envelop the target with a bright golden glow, immediately aging them down by ten years. The technique is very short-lived, and the target will begin reverting to their true age after only two posts, completing upon the third. This technique can also be performed on a small body of water, which must be ingested within two posts to apply the technique.

Tincture
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Ukiyogenma Form One

After forming the required hand seals and gathering their chakra, the user makes contact with a person or animal and imbues them with a steady flow of Life energy. For so long as the user maintains this technique, and for two posts following its end, the target body will actively recover from minor and moderate wounds as the afflicted areas are aged in reverse. Minor wounds will heal within one post, with moderate wounds requiring up to three posts to heal.
TenkujutsuShow
*Shizumeru • [Shackles of Authority]
C-Rank Tenkujutsu (Nin)
After performing a set of hand seals, the user focuses chakra towards their hand. A chain made of Maroon chakra will shoot from their palm towards the target at 10 speed, up to 20 meters away. If it hits a spirit, a jinchuuriki, tsukimogami, or other such being, the chain will wrap around them, placing their arms, if they have any, to their side, stopping them from performing hand seals. These chains cling to the chakra of the Spirit itself, and are unable to be broken through physical means. If the target has a related Mastery stat or a Spirit has a strength stat higher than 10, they are able to break the binding. If the chains are able to stay on their target for a full 5 posts, they will drain away, causing the target to drop in available forms by 1 for up to 5 posts.

*Shizumeru • [Containing Spirits]
C-Rank Tenkujutsu (Nin)
After doing the needed hand seals, the user will create a 10 meter cubed barrier within 15 meters of their location at a speed of 10. This barrier is created of pure Maroon chakra and will only stop things that are related to spirits, normally jinchuuriki. As a result, those that are stopped by the barrier are unable to make their way through unless they can break it with a strength of 10 or higher. Those untainted by spirits are able to pass through the barrier at their leisure. This barrier lasts for 4 posts.

*Spirit Binding • [Seishin Kanri]
C-Rank Tenkujutsu (Nin)
After preforming the necessary hand seals, the user shoots out a chain of Maroon Chakra at 10 speed that wraps around the spirit. If the spirit stays sealed within this chain for 4 posts. The spirit is subjected to the control of the user of the technique, regardless of contracts up to 4 posts. If the spirit has more than 10 strength it can break the chain. This jutsu can only be used on E-Rank spirits.
Taijutsu:
TaijutsuShow
Rudra’s Storm
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
A straightforward but effective combo attack, the user delivers a three-strike barrage to an opponent’s torso and head region in an attempt to overwhelm a guard and strike a solid blow.

Yama’s Falsehood
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
The user aims a powerful blunt force blow towards an opponent’s head with the intention to deliver a non-lethal takedown or wound. Targets receiving a clean hit will be staggered unless their stamina greater than the user’s strength. Targets with a stamina stat 5 or more points lower than the user’s strength will be knocked out for one post for every 3 points of difference, up to a maximum of three posts of unconsciousness.

Balancing Trisiras
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisites: [Close Quarters Combat]

The user has familiarised themselves with their weapons and fighting styles to the extent that they can adapt immediately to using either hand to perform actions with equal strength, speed, and skill, as if they were naturally ambidextrous.

Kartikeya’s Embrace
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisites: [Close Quarters Combat], [Rigid Structure]

After hurling themselves towards a target and seizing a firm hold upon them, the user pivots past them and twists the opponent around to lock them into a submissive hold from behind, pinning their arms to their sides and lifting slightly to hoist the target off the ground. So long as the user retains a firm grasp and has the strength to overpower the target they can constrict their movement and prevent action. Following a successful grapple, the user can attempt to throw the target to a distance equal to the difference between the user’s and opponent’s strength stats. The chance and magnitude of injury from the throw increases with the strength difference.

Foundation of Prithvi
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisites: [Rigid Structure]

Assuming a wide-footed stance with knees bent, the user prepares themselves for an incoming blow before twisting and moving their body at the last moment to flex with and absorb part of the force behind an impact. Blunt attacks with a strength of 5 or lower will have little to no harmful effect on the user, and any impact at a strength 5 or more points below the user’s stamina will deliver marginally less damage than expected.

Spirit of Radha
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Rigid Structure]

Continual harsh training and a strong core enable the user to conceal the visible effects of exhaustion upon their body, and to gain the mental fortitude to keep going when they would otherwise begin suffering from tiredness. Opponents without advanced perception techniques will be unable to properly gauge the user’s level of fatigue.
NintaijutsuShow
Suiton • Twin leaping serpents
D-Rank Suiton Nintaijutsu
Following the required hand seals, the user draws moisture from the air to form two thin gauntlets of suiton that twist around their hands and forearms like a coiled snake. Upon striking a target with one or both arms, the water surrounding the arm(s) will surge forward towards the target, attempting to twist around and envelop the arms and chest of the target with a speed of 4 and a strength of 6. Targets bound by the suiton serpents will be constricted with 6 strength, making it difficult for them to use their arms and draw sufficient breath for the duration of the technique. Unless broken early, the technique will last for four posts upon binding a target.

Suiton • Guardian of the Void
C-Rank Suiton Nintaijutsu
Prerequisite: Ninjutsu 15

After performing the required hand seals the user forms a transparent protective skin of suiton around their entire body, beneath clothing and other items. The layer forms at a slow 5 speed, but serves to absorb impacts and can resist strikes of up to 25 strength before collapsing back to water. The layer is thin enough so as to not impede movement. Upon performing a final seal at any point, the user can cause the skin to separate from their body and make a single simple movement defined by the user—such as ducking towards or away from an opponent to create a distraction or opening—two posts after which it will dissipate. Otherwise, unless destroyed, the user can maintain the skin for a number of posts equal to one fifth their control stat.
Genjutsu:
GenjutsuShow
Call of the Trimurti
D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu
After performing a short series of hand seals, the user will kick up a spray of dirt, water, or other material in front of them, obscuring themselves and causing any who see the material to fall victim to the illusion. When the material clears the target's line of sight, two perfect mirror images will appear around the user, seamlessly matching every motion they make and making the real user difficult to determine. This illusion lasts for three posts.

Rudra's Beguilement
D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will perform a short set of hand seals and lock eyes with a target to initiate this illusion. Once complete, all of the user's physical attacks will appear doubled as if they are attacking twice, simultaneously, from slightly different angles or at slightly different times, making it difficult to determine where and when to successfully block or dodge. This illusion lasts for three posts.

Whisper of Nataraja
D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will perform a short set of hand seals and take a deep breath, then release it in a yell or shout, causing those that hear the sound to become afflicted with this genjutsu. Once affected, a target's sense of balance will be slightly distorted, causing them to feel as though every direction they move is uphill, which may have a minor disorientating effect or cause one to misjudge their balance, footwork, etc. The illusion lasts for four posts.

Parvati's Grace
D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will perform a short set of hand seals and stamp one foot onto the floor to initiate this genjutsu, causing any who hear the impact to become victims of the illusion. Thereafter, for three posts, every time the user makes a rapid motion such as to attack, it will be accompanied by a burst of intense light that is difficult to look upon, causing minor blurred vision and spots of colour to afflict those who do not look away.

Nolosha no Ukiyogenma
The Phantom Beast of Life

The Ukiyogenma, commonly referred to as the Life Genma, is a Genma sealed away and controlled by [Iwagakure no Sato]. The Ukiyogenma has the ability to create and manipulate life energy, and bestows the power to influence this energy to the host. The Ukiyogenma has Four Forms which defines the abilities of the cloak. The Ukiyogenma is compatible with only those who have a Suiton Affinity
Personality: The Ukiyogenma is an overbearing mother type personality. She is very possessive of her host, and is constantly preaching to the host about the dangerous decisions it makes. The Ukiyogenma feels that its the most important genma, and has a very uppity attitude. If there was a phrase that perfectly explained the Ukiyogenma's personality it would be 'What would you do without me?'. She has a tendency to act very annoyed and frustrated with the host whenever they need to call on her abilities, scolding them as if she warned them against being reckless, even if the jinchuurinki wasn't doing anything dangerous.
Influences: The host has golden chakra, and develops a golden ring on their skin around the crown of their head.
Longterm drawbacks: The host becomes worrisome and overdramatic, making mountains out of molehills.
Definitions: The energies that the Life Genma manipulates are referred to by the Genma as 'Life Energy'. When life energy is taken from a being, it ages it, while life energy being added to a being extends it's life. This energy can be used to heal wounds, effectively "aging down" a wound until it no longer exist. Life energies can be taken from the heart of a being, aging them as a whole, or from specific parts of a being, isolating the aging process. Due to the weakening of the Genma's raw power while in a jinchuurinki, the host is not capable of permanently causing damage, beings aged by the hosts jutsu will eventually regain their life energies and return to their normal state. The temporary aging can cause crippling weaknesses in them that can easily be exploited, however.

Life Energy can be transferred into the surrounding vegetation and plant life to control it or into the environment itself to spontaneously grow vegetation and plant life in later Forms.
Form NumberDescription
Base FormIn the base form, the host has golden chakra, and a gold circle on their skin around the crown of their head. In this form, the host is able to use jutsu to see and assess life force energies to evaluate information about a person and their physical state.
+5 Control Always Active
Form 1In this form, the host is able to use jutsu to contribute their own life energies to others, allowing them to heal, reduce the age, and otherwise support other people. They begin to leak out gold chakra from their bodies, and two purple ropes of chakra will grow from their hair, down to their waist.
+3 Control, +2 Ninjutsu
Form 2 In this form, the host is able to attack the life force of individuals, allowing them to rapidly age individuals or specific parts of their bodies. The host will continue to exude golden chakra, the golden line around their head will disappear and form a halo above their head instead. The long purple chakra ropes will get longer, an 3 more will develop. Around their body the host will form what appears to be some sort of incorporeal robe around their body.
+5 Control, +3 Ninjutsu, +1 Speed, +1 Stamina
Form 2 AscendedHaving mastered the Genma to some length, the host is able to actively enter into this state and any of it's predecessors at ease. While indistinguishable from Form 2, Form 2 ascended is slightly stronger than it's predecessor.
+7 Ninjutsu, +6 Control, +3 Stamina, +3 Speed
Form 3In this form, the host is able to link the life forces between individuals with jutsu and between themselves and the surrounding environment. Linked life forces between people mean the injuries to one person will happen to the other and linked life forces between the environment and the host allow it to manipulate the surrounding vegetation and plant life. The halo around the hosts head will grow larger, and gain solidity to it merging to the hosts head. They'll develop gold coloring on their face, and more chakra ropes will form from their head, getting to be about 10 feet in length. The incorporeal clothing around the host will become more clear, forming a plain light blue robe that will cover their clothing, giving them a regal look.
+9 Ninjutsu, +9 Control, +5 Speed +5 Stamina
Form 4In this form, the host can use their bodies as a conduit for other peoples life forces. Allowing them to drain the life out of living beings to extend the life of themselves or others. They may now also spawn vegetation and plant life in environments they have linked themselves to. Entering the final stage, ornate designs will etch themselves throughout the clothing and on the halo of the host, giving their clothing the appearance of something royalty would wear, the chakra rope will be 10 in number, and about 12 feet in length, originating from their head and flowing around their bodies as if there was wind blowing them around.
+12 Nin, +12 Control, +8 Stamina, +8 Speed
Form 4 AscendedHaving mastered the Genma to some length, the host is able to actively enter into this state and any of it's predecessors at ease. While indistinguishable from Form 4, Form 4 ascended is slightly stronger than it's predecessor.
