望舒 Wang Shu
[Shu]

[My life for Aiur... er.. I mean, Iwa!]

General Information Age: 15
Gender: Male
Height: 5’8
Weight: 140 lbs.
Physical Features: Wang Shu is tall for his age, and sports a slight frame. Though fit, he is in no way muscular and that, combined with his long limbs makes him seemingly frail, like a reed or sapling willow. His shoulder-length black hair makes him appear more pale than he really is which leaves his already angular features seeming gaunt, and at times, sunken.
  • Face/head: Wang Shu has black hair that, when down, falls just past his shoulder blades. Normally he keeps it pulled back in ponytail to keep it out of his way, allowing only his bangs to frame his face.
  • Body: Lean and smooth, though he is not muscular Wang Shu is toned enough from his training.
  • Notable Features:Tattoos adorning his forearm and wrist. These are used to summon poison gas for Wang Shu’s jutsu.
Clothing/Accessories: Wang Shu wears light-grey tunic and pants made of a light-weight, tough cloth designed especially for the rough and rocky terrain in Iwagakure no Sato and the surrounding mountains. Over this he wears an open, grey, leather duster coat with a hood (kept down). His feet are clad in soft, durable, leather boots that are also grey. His headband is worn on his forehead (where it belongs) and is used to keep his hair in place, save for his bangs.

Personality: Wang Shu is quiet and studious at most times. He is attentive to his surrounding, especially to people and animals. He believes life is in the details, and keeps a watchful eye out for the little things. Wang Shu’s dream is to be the best support-type shinobi he can, and as such he is very driven. His focus is always to bring success to his village and his teammates, and his determination can occasionally come across as stubbornness. Wang Shu has an affinity for cooking and chemistry, and when he’s not cooking up a feast in the kitchen he’s cooking up medicine and poison alike in the lab. Normally easygoing, Wang Shu does have a short fuse when it comes to the mission. His attitude is “all business” when working and he often forgets to temper his seriousness nature regarding work with a bit of self-awareness and as such, can come across as irritable.
  • Hopes/Dreams: To be the greatest support-class shinobi the world has ever known.
  • Fears: Failure, death, drowning
  • Combat Mentality:Focused, driven, and constantly scheming. Wang Shu uses his poisons and fuuinjutsu to assist his teammates and bring about a swift victory.

Abilities and Concentrations
Abilities: The Alchemist's Gift
The Alchemist's GiftShow
No truly great alchemist ever got by without a little "self-experimentation" and Wang Shu is no exception. Every poison and potion he masters is first tested on himself, and like most poison user's, he's not fond of the idea of succumbing to his own wares. Every day with breakfast he ingests a little of each of his poisons, and has, over time developed an immunity to each one. This does not, however, grant him immunity or even resistance against toxins that he did not create himself.
Concentrations
Ninjutsu
Iijutsu:
Iijutsu
This concentration allows for the user to user chakra to affect the biological processes of a living creature. This includes modifying, speeding up, or slowing down the biological processes. Iijutsu is known for its advanced nature and requires precise chakra control to work effectively. It can be differentiate from normal techniques by the faint light green color of the chakra used in Iijutsu techniques.
Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu:
Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu
This user is able to utilize Storage Fuuinjutsu and Force Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Storage or Force Classification. Storage Fuuinjutsu can be used to store supplies, weapons, armor, or anything in between. Force Fuuinjutsu are used to release, counteract, and capture energy.
Ninjutsu: Advanced Channeling:

The user can channel any ninjutsu that is designed to be channeled, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method. To get this concentration the user must be a Ninjutsu Specialist, and have picked Control as one of their specialized stats.
Charge Fuuinjutsu:

FuuinjutsuShow
*Fuuinjutsu • Tool Storage
D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
After drawing a seal formula on a surface, appropriate in size to the weapon being sealed but no larger than 3x9 inches, the user forms the needed hand seals then may place as many of that singular object into the scroll as desired. When done, the user performs another set of hand seals and touches the seal closing it off as the seal condenses to the shape of the object stored. This seal is the only known sealing applications that allows depth storage and unfortunately this cannot be done at larger sizes. Tools can only be released at a maximum of 10 at a time, and are released with zero force.

Fuuinjutsu • Poison Storage
D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
After drawing a seal formula on a surface, appropriate in size to amount of poison being sealed but no larger than 3x9 inches, the user forms the needed hand seals then may place as much of that singular poison (in liquid form) into the scroll as desired. When done, the user performs another set of hand seals and touches the seal closing it off as the seal condenses to a circular shape. When Chakra Kai is used the stored poison will be released as a pressurized gas with a force of 5.
Poison Cloud Size = 20 Cubic Meters

*Fuuinjutsu • Explosive Tag
D-Rank Force Fuuinjutsu
After drawing a 2x5 inch seal formula on a surface the user forms the needed hand seals then touches the seal, arming it with their chakra. Upon being kai'd, the tag releases its stored energy as a D-Rank Explosion of concussive force outward from itself.

*Fuuinjutsu • Tattoo
D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
Developed for clandestine operations originally, instead of using ink and paper, the user draws a seal onto their body the size of the item they are sealing into their body. Upon doing a set of hand seals, the user then slides the item into the tattoo and performs a second seal, causing the seal to go dormant. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item.

Fuuinjutsu • Scars
D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
Developed for clandestine operations originally, instead of using ink and paper, the user carves a seal onto their body the size of the item they are sealing into their body. Upon doing a set of hand seals, the user then slides the item into the resulting patter (after it has healed) and performs a second seal, causing the seal to go dormant. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item with 0 force.

*D-Rank Seal Removal
D-Rank Removal Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: 5 D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user traces the outline of a D-Rank fuuinjutsu. After doing so, the user places their hand over the seal, removing the seal. This does not protect against any traps that may occur as a result of removing a seal.
IijutsuShow
*[Iijutsu • Oxygen Flow]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Simple in its form yet highly effective in practice, the *[Iijutsu • Oxygen Flow] technique allows its users to clear obstructed airways, to perform less extensive CPR, and to give cells the oxygen they crave. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place both over the target's chest (through the back works as well). By allowing the chakra to be channeled throughout the lungs and up through the air ways, any unseen, solid or liquid obstructions will be cleared from these passages and ejected through the mouth, allowing the patient to breathe more easily. Additionally, the hands can be placed over the heart to help oxygenate the body's cells. In this instance, users must be much more careful, as over-oxygenating cells can cause more harm than good. This technique takes the entirety of one post to perform.

*[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
When traditional stitching supplies aren't available, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] truly shines. After performing a short set of hand seals, the user will gently place his/her index finger at the base of the patient's wound. Once this is done, the user will lift his/her finger and touch it to the other side of the wound, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique drains a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attached to in order to keep the stitches going, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single hand seal. Any intensive or strenuous movements will cause the stitches to break.

*[Iijutsu • Bandage Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Iijutsu • Sterilization Technique]
A simple yet vital medical technique, the *[Iijutsu • Bandage Technique] provides its users with the ability to create makeshift bandages out of any suitable material they desire. After channeling chakra into an object (such as a leaf, piece of cloth, etc.), the user is able to apply it to the wound of a patient. Once applied, the selected object will adhere to the flesh around the wound, protecting it from bacteria and other harmful foreign bodies. Objects used for the bandage technique are automatically sterilized in the process. These bandages drain a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attached to in order to keep them stuck on, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single hand seal. While not as effective at stopping bleeding as the [Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] technique, they hold on much better in the case that strenuous movement is necessary.

Soothing Touch
D – Ranked Ijutsu
Channeled
A simple yet effective technique for relieving stress and soreness in tired muscles, allowing the patient to keep fighting at their best by removing muscle fatigue. The user will place their hands on the fatigued muscle, and channel chakra through the hands into the muscle. The ijutsu chakra will then neutralize lactic acid, and repair any micro-tears in the muscles, removing any fatigue or soreness, and allowing the user to continue on a full strength.
NinpouShow
Ninpou – Defensive Cage
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Channeled
The user channels chakra and erects a simple ninjutsu barrier in the shape of a rectangle around the target that is used to protect the user and/or allies in close proximity. The barrier has a strength of 8 and erects at a speed of 2. This barrier lasts for 5 posts.

Ninjutsu • Sundering Touch
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Channeled
Prerequisites: 10 Control
After the user has began to channel chakra to their hand a blue film of chakra will cover the appendage. The chakra will be vibrating at a high intensity causing an audible hum in the air. When this chakra makes contact with a solid mass of any kind it connects with a power of 10, violently vibrating the mass. This can cause deep bruising to muscle tissue and flesh, and will crack/splinter most softer woods. This jutsu will dissipate after 3 posts if not used.

Ninjutsu - Snap
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Channeled
The user will channel chakra into the fingertips, snapping their fingers once. The sound of the snap will be augmented, allowing it to be heard from a much farther distance. The snap can be clearly heard up to 1/2 kilometer away, and anyone (including the user) who hears it within 10 meters will suffer mild hearing loss for 1 post.

C-Ranked Ninpou

Ninjutsu - Concussive Snap
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Channeled
The user will channel chakra into the fingertips, snapping their fingers once. The snap will trigger an explosion of chakra with a concussive force of 10 to emanate from the fingers, damaging anyone/anything (the user included) unshielded from the blast within a range of two cubic meters.

Ninjutsu - Armored Shell
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Channeled
The user will channel chakra from the tenketsu into the skin, creating a second "skin" of glowing blue chakra around the body. This defensive shield forms at a speed of 10 and requires a strength of 10 or more to break. If not, it dissipates after 3 posts.

History
Historical AccountsShow
Wang Shu was born to two loving parents in the spring, on the eve of the start of Nyuubai. His father, Lin Pei, was merchant of spices that spent months of each year on the road to bring in the very best the world had to offer to the great cities of the Rock Country. The boy’s mother, Ying Yue, was a kunoichi medic, and also occasionally left for indeterminate lengths of time. This is not to say that Wang Shu was neglected, merely that from a young age he learned to amuse himself. This time spent alone was spent playing at first, but as the boy grew so did his interests, and it wasn’t long before he started to emulate his parents.

As the boy aged he became particularly interested in two things: food, and science. His love of food stemmed from the myriad of spices his father dealt in. The successful spice merchant spent so much of his life around his wares that he had a very particular smell, one that Wang Shu loved very much. It was a warm, inviting scent that was equal parts spicy and sweet. His attachment of that smell came from a time before his own memory and elicited thoughts of a tiny babe, held in deeply tanned arms. His love of science came from his mother, and many nights he would sneak downstairs to watch her mix her ointments and salves. Ying Yue was a talented chemist as well as a medic, and was fairly well known in her community as an exceptional alchemist and healer.

When the child began school it was obvious to everyone, especially his proud parents, that he would become a shinobi. After entering the academy he showed great skill for chakra control, ninjutsu, and fuuinjutsu. Though his skills in genjutsu and physical arts held him back slightly, his hard work and serious attitude helped carry him through his classes, and while not a brilliant student, he was certainly acceptable. As time passed Wang Shu realized that being a shinobi was his true calling, and his determined nature began to show more and more in his studies, and his daily training. It wasn’t long before graduation day was upon him.

As Wang Shu honed his skills he spent more and more time in the lab, choosing to polish his alchemy, more than healing ability, and though he did graduate the shinobi academy his skills beyond ninjutsu and fuuinjutsu were mediocre at best. Now that he has finally become a fully vetted shinobi, he is ready to take his place alongside his comrades and offer whatever support he is able for the sake of the mission, and the village he now represents.
