Tate, Iwamaru

Post by Archives » Thu May 23, 2019 12:30 pm

Age: 20
Gender: Male
Height: 6'
Weight: 200 lbs.
Physical Features:

Face/Head: Iwamaru is not a spectacularly attractive person. His facial features, while strong, are somewhat sharp, rugged, and blocky, having a strong chin, powerful green eyes, and earthen brown hair, cut to a very plain and efficient style.

Body: Maru's relentless training and progression through physical maturity, as well as five long years of war, have taken the slightly childish brute from his adolescence and forged him into a pristine depiction of strength and endurance. Though not exceedingly bulky, Maru's body ripples with the contours of muscles trained since youth from the crown of his head to the heel of his feet. His hands and the soles of his feet are considerably callused, a side-effect of his training and the physical punishment he has endured over the years.

Notable Features: Iwamaru has no markings, scars, or tattoos by which he could be differentiated from others. His simple appearance was stressed during training, as being able to quickly blend into a crowd can be vital during missions.
Clothing/Accessories: Iwamaru wears a variety of clothing while not on duty or while training, but during missions, he wears a custom green combat jacket with a long tail and steel plating on the shoulders to replace the unwieldy pauldrons he used to wear. These steel plates serve the purpose of protecting his clavicle, a naturally fragile portion of the human anatomy. Underneath the jacket, he wears a black thermal shirt that provides ventilation, absorbs sweat, and retains heat. On his hands, he wears combat gloves with metal plating on the backsides to assist with the occasional block or parry of weaponry. On his back, he carries a sword secured by a clasp.

Around his waist, Iwamaru wears a steel-plated belt (specifically buffed out to limit/prevent light refraction), along with four small pouches in the front and a fifth larger pouch on the back. These contain his utility tools, thrown weapons, small arms, and tags.

His legs are adorned with simple, comfortable, durable trousers. He has two pockets on each side, with zippers to secure them, but are otherwise featureless. Iwamaru wears sturdy combat boots, preferring the general utility they provide to travel over a variety of terrain. With that stated, in the event that Iwamaru must prioritize stealth, he does keep a compact pair of traditional shinobi tabi in his large back pouch, folded up and kept to the left side so as not to rustle his metallic weaponry. While they do not directly provide any sort of stat benefit, they are generally quieter than the hefty steps of his normal footwear.
General: Stoic and determined, Iwamaru is, in most cases, focused on making himself the best possible soldier for Iwagakure and its interests. Despite his normally rigorous schedule, which includes near-daily training, Iwamaru enjoys some more eclectic hobbies, such as cooking, drawing, and music. He's learning to play the harp in secret. Iwamaru's psychological instability, having been upended by the sudden loss of his only surviving parent and the arrest of his closest fatherly figure, renders him conflicted and numb. Neither possessing the time nor the wherewithal to resolve his mental and emotional turmoil due to the untimely nature of the most recent war, his only focus is his work and whatever itinerary he has for the day.

Hopes/Dreams: Iwamaru's dreams are simple: to be an exemplary citizen and soldier of Iwagakure... and to be strong enough to speak his mind to his father. Irrevocably stripped of his chance to reconcile with his estranged father and disillusioned by what he considers to be morally reprehensible activities his village condones and participates in, Maru has cast aside the notion of dreams and aspirations. He merely survives, presently entombed in the prison of his own uncertainty and apathy.

Fears: Though his father has imparted many great qualities into Iwamaru, such as his industrious nature and his firm loyalty to the village, Iwamaru does not share his father's blind patriotism and does, every so often, question decisions made by the village, even sometimes disagreeing with them. Despite this, Iwamaru holds an inordinate fear of disappointing his father, who has often scoffed or even been enraged at many things that he does not personally see as contributing to the good of the village, including at least one of Iwamaru's hidden hobbies. Emotional numbness have dulled preoccupation on what to be afraid of, a fleeting benefit of an otherwise self-destructive mentality that Maru is burdened with. As a young man caught in the throes of history and unforeseen occurrences, his lack of aspirations also clouds his sense of self-preservation and fear.

Combat Mentality: Iwamaru, while definitely a capable tactician, tends to rely on his physical strength and tries to take initiative in combat to overwhelm his opponent. With that said, he does not simply charge in recklessly, often attempting to modify and use his terrain to his advantage with physical destruction of the environment and his Doton techniques. Whatever is necessary to complete the mission.

Iwamaru's Journal, Day 1Show
"This is my first time writing in this journal. Sensei handed it to me after the graduation ceremony. She said something about it 'helping me express myself more easily.' I never even told her about that. Was I really that obvious? Was it because of Dad? I should be thankful, either way. Even now, I can feel my thoughts and emotions sinking into this page as I take to the pen."

"So, let's start at the beginning, then. It's nothing interesting, but no story can start without a beginning, right?"

"I'm Tate Iwamaru, age 14. I was born to Tate Hayabusa, a jounin, and Tate Shirayuki, a homemaker. I'm an only child, which has its ups and downs, but I've had a good life. We've never been wealthy, but we've always had enough to be content. I have my father's looks, but I take more after my mother than I do him. Despite the wild differences in their personalities, and despite their conflicts, both of my parents worked hard to make their relationship work. Even at the worst times, I could still say that I've always been happy. That we've always been happy as a family. The only truly sad time I can recall..."

(The page is periodically dotted with slight wrinkles, blurs, and discolorations from this point on.)

"...I was ten when Mom died. Everything happened so suddenly. I remember the first time that she fainted. We were walking home from the academy, through the marketplace, and we were passing by the cabbage cart... and she stopped. I saw the color drain from her face, I felt her grip on my hand loosen... and then she just dropped. I remember the confusion I felt when I just barely managed to catch her before her head hit the ground. I blew the special whistle Dad had given me for emergencies and tried to get her to wake up."

"The look of shock and dread on my Dad's face when he arrived is something I'll never forget. Not two minutes after I had blown that whistle, Dad scooped Mom up, and he told me to climb up on his back. I held on with all I had as Dad scrambled to get to the hospital. He moved so fast that I almost fell. Every day, we spent with her in the hospital... I'd go straight there, every day after the academy... I watched her sleep... I prayed to whatever spirits would listen, hoping she would wake up..."

(The spots on the page get larger. The letters become more jagged, less certain.)

"A week later... She was gone. I watched her wither away. I still hate how helpless I was. I hate how cold I feel without her here. I miss you, Mom... I miss you so much!"

(A paragraph break. The spots are gone, though the writing remains less neat than it was before.)

"Dad and I, we're still... okay. It's not like life is miserable. But Dad... He's not been the same ever since. I mean, neither am I. I've become quieter than before. Dad's been even more rigorous with my training. Mom always served as his counter-point, the yin to his yang. Now that she's gone, he's gotten a bit more... extreme. The pressure to do well, to honor her memory by 'bringing glory to the village that she belonged to...' I feel like Dad hasn't properly grieved Mom yet, even now. I feel like I'm his vent. Like, he has to make sure I become the best shinobi ever, just so he doesn't feel like he failed Mom because he couldn't save her. It's 'village this' and 'Iwagakure that.' 'Showing emotions is weakness; always be strong' over, and over, and over again. I can't help but feel that if we'd paid closer attention to Mom instead of the village, she might still be here."

"I still am grateful to Iwagakure. We still have a more stable life than others. And I still want to love this village. I'm not ungrateful for what I've been given. But... Can I love this village? Should I? Mom always taught to never ignore the flaws or mistakes of people that you care about. That you should be the person you need to be for yourself and for others. You should set the example, not follow it. How can I truly love something when it makes the people I love do things that hurt themselves?"
Iwamaru's Journal, Day 417Show
"I was just informed that my father, Tate Hayabusa, has fallen in the line of duty... At the ripe, old age of 15, I'm now an orphan.

My body was already tired from the mission with Tatsuo... but my mind feels fuzzy, and my heart just feels numb. I'm not angry, sad, bitter... I'm just numb. Colors seem less bright. Food doesn't have the same taste it once did. The only line of defense I have against this apathy is my work. People tell me that my heart is broken, but that's not true. Right now...

There's simply nothing where my heart should be."

Equipment:
- (1) Taotie Jian (Chinese Long Sword) - A longer, sturdier variant of a traditional Jian, this double-edged weapon measures approximately 40" in length. The blade measures 29" in length, with the handle and guard measuring 11" in length. The handle is wrapped in brown leather and has a pommel to serve as a counterweight.

- (2) Medium-sized Kunai - With blades roughly the size of combat knives, Iwamaru keeps these in his large pack on the back of his belt, in the event that he needs weapons more agile than his Taotie Jian.

- (2) Shaped Explosive Charges - One located in the heels of each of Iwamaru's combat boots, these charges are primarily used to increase the distance of Iwamaru's jumps, help him change direction midair, or give him a short, unexpected burst of movement speed. These shaped charges direct the concussive force away from Iwamaru's feet, avoiding causing any injury or damage to him. They can still be used as normal blasting tags in combination with some sort of kicking attack.

- (15) Shuriken. -
- (15) Throwing Kunai. -
- (10) Grenades - Small baseball-sized orbs. These function identically to exploding tags.
- (2) Smoke Grenades. -

Ninjutsu
NinpouShow
[Ninpou • Chakra Jet]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into one of his feet, Iwamaru releases it from their feet in a burst of concussive force in the form of an outward explosion in a cone away from his feet up to 10 meters away. This explosion has a force equal to Iwamaru's Control and can be used in a multitude of ways, such as either adding additional force to a kicking attack, allowing Iwamaru an additional jump in midair or the ability to redirect his jump in midair.

[Ninpou • Explosive Enhancement]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After taking an explosive tag or another explosive item in his hand, including those produced from Iwamaru's jutsu, he channels unstable non-elemental chakra into the item. Until the end of the post, if the item is detonated, the additional chakra detonates along with it, adding the explosive force equal to half of Iwamaru's Control, rounded down, to the explosive's base force.

[Ninpou • Chakra Realignment - Speed]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed seals, Iwamaru reroutes his chakra towards his muscle groups and tendons that control his movement speed. This grants Iwamaru a +6 increase to his Speed and a tiny transparent chakra mask on his face to block debris, dust, sand, gas, etc. from entering his eyes, nose, or mouth. The chakra being redirected to these muscle groups is drawn from muscle groups that impact his striking force, thus inflicting him with a -6 penalty to his Strength for the duration of the boost. This boost lasts for up to five posts, but Iwamaru can end the boost at will if he so wishes.
DotonShow
Doton:
Doton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Doton and can make and use any custom or archived techniques that require the Doton affinity. Doton has a passive enduring effect.
Passive (Enduring)Show
Doton has an enduring passive, which means that its power is retained throughout the entirety of the technique. All of a single Doton technique retains the Strength of the technique, even after the technique has been destroyed, and unlike other techniques, Doton does not fade when destroyed. This means that if a Doton barrier with 25 Strength is cut in half and falls to the ground, a part of that barrier could be picked up and carried as a handheld shield which would still have 25 Strength, despite being a fractured part of a technique. This creates incredibly potent defenses, making Doton a popular affinity among defensive fighters.
Doton • Ninja Tool Ambush
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru will launch a large ninja tool, such as a shuriken, kunai, or Senbon, from the ground within a 10-meter radius. This tool is launched and cuts/pierces with a Speed and Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control for up to 10 meters away in any single direction. The projectile can be no larger than two feet wide.

Doton • Stone Grenade
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru plunges his hand into the ground and pulls out a small stone roughly 3 inches in diameter, filled with unstable Doton chakra. At the end of the post, or until it makes contact with an opponent or surface, the stone will explode with a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control.

Doton • Gaia Boost
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, a small 1-foot wide, 2-foot long pedestal will shoot from the ground anywhere within 10 meters of Iwamaru's position with a Speed and Strength equal to his Control. If Iwamaru uses this technique to jump, it will increase his Strength for the purposes of determining the height/distance his jump covers by an amount equal to his Control.

Doton • Sunken Shield
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru plunges his hand into the ground and pulls up a wall made of solid stone. The wall is lifted out of the ground at a speed equal to Iwamaru's Strength. The wall itself has dimensions of 3 meters high x 3 meters long x 1 meter thick and has a Strength equal to his Control.

Doton • Basic Sundered Domain
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru channels Doton chakra into a 10-meter area around his person, including stone and concrete terrain or structures. The stability of the ground/terrain is weakened. If Iwamaru strikes the ground with 5 Strength or greater, the ground will erupt up a number of meters equal to Iwamaru's Strength, progressing across the weakened terrain at a Speed equal to his Strength and showering the opponent with rock, stone, and earthen shrapnel at a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Strength. This technique cannot be used against structures or terrain infused with an opponent's chakra.

Doton • Instant Exit
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru channels Doton chakra into any location with 10 meters of his person, including terrain created by his own Doton techniques. A passageway is created that is 10 feet high, 5 feet wide, and up to 10 meters deep. This passageway is created at a Speed equal to his Control. This technique cannot be used against structures or terrain infused with an opponent's chakra that has higher Control than Iwamaru.

Doton • Mobile Defense
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru can move any single barrier or Doton structure infused with his chakra anywhere within 10 meters of his position in a single direction at a Speed equal to his Control.

Doton • Hidden Fang
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru causes a large stone blade to erupt from within 10 meters of his position. This stone blade is 6 feet long and 3 feet wide, and it erupts from the ground with a Speed and Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated.

Doton • Self Destruct
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru imbues unstable Doton chakra into any wall, surface, or piece of terrain. At the end of the post or if manually triggered, the targeted terrain explodes outward away from him up to 10 meters away, the shrapnel caused by the explosion moving at a Speed and has a Strength equal to his Control unless otherwise stated. If Iwamaru strikes the terrain in question, the explosion will occur immediately, and the shrapnel instead moves at a Speed equal to Iwamaru's Strength.

Doton • Basic Titan's Armor
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru creates a thin segmented breastplate, thin greaves (boots), thin gauntlets, and a thin helmet of stone that lift up from the ground and attach themselves to Iwamaru in segments. This set of armor forms at a Speed and has a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. The gauntlets cover the top of Iwamaru's hands to leave his hands free for weaving hand seals and managing his equipment.

Doton • Sunken Prison
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After weaving the needed hand seals, Iwamaru will channel his chakra into the ground around any single opponent within 25 meters of his location, causing rock and dirt to suddenly rush up and try to trap the opponent up to their necks. This trapping soil traps the opponent at a Speed and Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. If this technique successfully captures an opponent, the dirt will harden and compress into rock, restricting the opponent's movements even further.

Doton • Stalwart Barricade
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed seals, Iwamaru channels his chakra into the earth, causing a semi-circular wall of rock to erupt from the ground anywhere within 25 meters of his position. This wall emerges from the ground with a Speed and has a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. If Iwamaru physically pulls the wall out of the ground during the technique's execution, it will instead form at a Speed equal to his Strength. This semi-circular wall is 5 meters high x 5 meters long x 3 meters thick and covers a 180-degree radius.

Doton • Ninja Tool Reinforcement
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru will launch four large ninja tools, such as a shuriken, kunai, or senbon, made of stone from the ground within 25 meters of his position. This tool is launched up to 25 meters away in any single direction at a Speed and Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. The projectile can be no larger than four feet wide.

Doton • Wall of Pain
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed seals, Iwamaru forms a spiked wall from the ground within 25 meters of his position. This wall forms at a Speed and has a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. If Iwamaru physically pulls this wall from the ground, it will instead form at a Speed equal to his Strength. The wall measures 5 meters high x 5 meters long x 3 meters thick and the spikes that cover the front of the wall are each 1 meter long with the same Strength as the wall. If Iwamaru strikes this wall with a Strength of 10 or higher, the spikes will break off of the wall and be launched at opponents a number of meters away equal to his Strength at a Speed equal to Iwamaru’s Strength. Conversely, Iwamaru can push this wall with a Strength of 10 or higher to launch the entire wall forward a number of meters away equal to his Strength at a Speed equal to Iwamaru’s Strength.

Doton • Lumbering Boulder
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed seals, a large boulder, measuring 10 meters in diameter bursts from the ground in front of Iwamaru and begins rolling at a Speed and with a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. On its own, this boulder will roll up to 25 meters away, but Iwamaru can strike or throw this boulder to launch it with a Speed equal to his Strength.

Doton • Barren Wasteland
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Iwamaru channels pulsating Doton chakra into a 40-meter area in front of him. This pulsating chakra expands out at a Speed and is treated as having a Strength equal to his Control unless otherwise stated. This technique does not impart Doton’s enduring passive. Instead, this space is capable of fully absorbing and drying any natural water that is in that area or enters that area and Suiton techniques lower in Strength than the Strength of this technique. This space can fully absorb a single Suiton technique of equal Strength but is then immediately terminated afterward. Otherwise, this technique lasts for six posts.

Doton • Ambush Chasm
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru channels Doton chakra into a 40-meter area in front of him, hollowing it out a space 40 meters wide and 30 meters deep below lined with stone spikes, covered by a layer of earth 10 meters thick. The pit forms at a Speed equal to his Control unless otherwise stated, and the spikes have a Strength equal to his Control unless otherwise stated. If Iwamaru strikes that area with 20 Strength or more, the top layer of earth collapses, potentially causing the opponent to fall into the pit.

Doton • Merciful Burial
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru creates two large slabs of bedrock underground which slam together and crush targets between them. The slabs of bedrock have a Strength and Speed equal to his Control unless otherwise stated. The slabs can be swung in either direction, allowing them to strike targets either above or below ground. If Iwamaru grabs hold of the slabs and manually slams them closed, they move at a Speed equal to his Strength instead. The slabs of bedrock measure 40 meters high x 30 meters long x 5 meters thick.
KoutonShow
Kouton Affinity:
Kouton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Kouton, an advanced form of Doton, and can make and use any custom or archived techniques that require the Kouton affinity. Kouton has an resisting effect.
Passive (Resisting)Show
Kouton has a resisting effect. This means that Kouton techniques ignore the effects of other affinities, regardless of their nature. If a Kouton spear was thrown through a water shield, the spear would not be caught by the shield, nor would it be destroyed by Sankaton, or cut by Fuuton. This resisting effect does not apply to active effects from techniques. This means a Fuuton technique that cuts with 30 strength would still cut through a 20 strength Kouton shield, but it would not be affected by the secondary cutting by Fuuton. This makes Kouton very effective for breaking through and penetrating defenses that opponents expect to protect them. Its hardy nature makes Kouton very popular among Doton users.
Kouton • Basic Ferrite Formation
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru creates metal in the ground within 10 meters of his position. This metal can be used as components for other Kouton techniques, or it can be used as part of Doton techniques used within that area, granting affected techniques Kouton’s resisting passive on top of Doton’s enduring passive. If this technique is used for casting Kouton techniques, Iwamaru can treat this metal as the point of origin for the technique if he so wishes. This technique lasts for five posts.

Kouton • Spike Grenade
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru plunges his hand into the ground and pulls out a metal orb the size of a baseball, filled with unstable Kouton chakra and tiny shards of metal. At the end of the post, or until it comes into contact with an opponent or surface, the orb will explode with a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control, showering the area around with the shrapnel.

Kouton • Basic Earth Enhancement
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru coats a piece of terrain or a pre-existing Doton technique within 10 meters of his position with metal. This coating forms over the technique at a Speed equal to his Control unless otherwise stated and increases the Strength of the technique by a factor equal to 1/2 his Control, rounded down, unless otherwise stated. This coating also gives the targeted terrain or technique Kouton's resisting passive in addition to whatever other passive it might have. This coating lasts for four posts or until destroyed.

Kouton • Basic Ripper Chain
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, bladed chains erupt from the ground within 10 meters of his position and bind the opponent, the length of the chain leading back to Iwamaru. They move at a Speed and have a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. These chains will last for three posts, regardless of whether they have bound an opponent or not, and Maru can use those chains for other purposes or techniques if he so wishes.

Kouton • Claws of the Mountain Lion
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru coats his hands with sharp metal gloves with sharp claws on the tips of his fingers and palms, and he coats the bottoms of his feet with curved metal spikes. Meant primarily as a means of reducing the amount of energy needed to find and maintain solid grips while climbing sheer surfaces, this technique doubles Iwamaru's effective Endurance and Strength for the purposes of climbing, as it seriously reduces or outright eliminates the need to find handholds and footholds which ultimately allows him to conserve energy and use his Strength more effectively. Additionally, while they confer no stat benefits, these can be used to cause more damage to opponents in combat. This technique lasts for up to five posts but can be deactivated at will to conserve chakra.

Kouton • Sword of the Earth
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Channeling Kouton chakra into his hand, Iwamaru forms a copy of his Taotie Jian in his hand. This replica weapon functions as a normal sword would but can also serve as a conduit for other Kouton techniques. This sword normally lasts for four posts, but Iwamaru can reactivate this jutsu to refresh its duration.

Kouton • Bridge Hook
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed seals, Maru plunges his hand into the ground and pulls out a chain that is 15 meters long. On each end of the chain is a serrated climbing hook that can stab into terrain and secure itself. This chain can be used to climb normally unnavigable terrain or create a zip line to cover small gaps. Though this chain’s primary purpose is utility, if used for combat, the chain is treated as having a Strength equal to his Control. This chain lasts for five posts.

Kouton • Forged Bulwark
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru thrusts his hand into the ground and pulls up a large metal barricade measuring 5 meters high x 5 meters wide x 3 meters thick. The wall has a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control and rises at a Speed equal to Iwamaru's Strength. The wall remains up to four posts before crumbling or until it is destroyed.

Kouton • Iron Bars
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After making the needed hand seals, Iwamaru forms a hexagonal steel cage underground. This cage walls off an area inside of it 20 meters wide, the walls stand 10 meters tall and are 3 meters thick, and the bottom is sealed off by three meters of metal. After a single additional hand seal, Iwamaru can cause this cage to rise up at a Speed equal to Iwamaru's Control and trap opponents, forming a grid of metallic bars over the top of the cage at the same Speed. This cage has a Strength equal to Iwamaru's Control unless otherwise stated. This technique lasts up to six posts before crumbling away.
Taijutsu
Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu (Stone Titan Style)Show
Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu is Iwamaru's personal martial arts style. Starting with the fundamentals of body conditioning, Iwamaru has enabled his punches and kicks to do more damage than normal, and he has conditioned his body to suffer less pain and damage by deadening nerves and increasing bone density through micro-fractures.

Requires: [Rigid Structure], [Close Quarters Combat] Concentration.
StancesShow
Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Stone Titan's Presence
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basic stance of the Stone Titan Style, Iwamaru squares up; his chin is lowered, his arms are raised and prepared to defend and quickly lash out with quick punches, his shoulders are raised and drawn back slightly, and he stands poised on the balls of his feet, ready to lash out with quick straight or lateral kicks. Punches and arm strikes in this style can take a variety of forms, such as quick jabs, twisting straights, quick hooks, and uppercuts, or elbow strikes. Attacks with the leg can also be quite varied, ranging from crushing heel strikes to pin-point kicks with the balls of the feet, powerful sweeping lateral kicks with the shins to break bones and joints, groin kicks, and even powerful knee strikes. While in this Stance, all Titan's Body techniques have their effectiveness increased by a small margin, allowing Iwamaru to resist even more pain when those areas of the body are attacked.
DisciplinesShow
Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Stone Titan's Strength
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training, Iwamaru has learned how to make effective use of kinetic linking with his unarmed attacks. By planting his rear heel back into the ground and channeling the energy through his hips and core whenever he launches an unarmed attack, Iwamaru can transfer all potential energy from his movements into his attacks, causing them to deal more damage to the opponent.

Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Rooted Mountain
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training and body conditioning, Iwamaru has become more resistant to disorientation effects and can more accurately keep track of his position in the space around him, even when having been struck in the head or other areas of the body that would control his senses of equilibrium and proprioception. If Iwamaru would normally receive an attack with an overall Strength that is equal to or less than his Strength, he is able to ignore any disorientation effect that the jutsu would impose and any related penalties. He will still otherwise suffer damage from the attack as normal.

Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Titan’s Body - Foundation
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 25 Endurance, 25 Strength.
After years of body conditioning, Iwamaru's skin, muscles, soft tissues, nerve endings, joints, and bones throughout all areas of his body have become tougher than normal. This level of body conditioning makes Maru more resistant to lacerations and incisions, impact damage, internal bleeding, fracturing and breakage of bones, nerve strikes, and hyper-extension and rupturing of tendons, joints, and other delicate muscle groups. This also significantly reduces his sensitivity to pain without reducing other areas of sensitivity, allowing him to suffer serious wounds such as deep slashes or non-lethal impalings without allowing his focus or actions to be interrupted by pain responses.
ManeuversShow
Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Quaking Footsteps
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Titan's Body - Legs and Feet.
Quickly twisting his hip and firmly planting his back leg on the ground as he attacks, Iwamaru strikes the opponent's upper leg or knee with a kick using his shin. Aside from causing swelling on the targeted area, if Iwamaru's Strength is higher than the opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, this technique can cause the opponent to lose their center of balance and stagger, potentially leaving them open to additional attacks.

Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Sweeping Landslide
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Titan's Body - Legs and Feet.
Quickly twisting his hip and firmly planting his back leg on the ground as he attacks, Iwamaru strikes the opponent's lower legs or feet with a kick using his shin. Aside from causing swelling on the targeted area, if Iwamaru's Strength is higher than the opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, this technique can cause the opponent to be swept off of their feet, making them fall to the ground on their back, potentially leaving them prone and open to additional attacks.

Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Rising Boulder
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Titan's Body - Legs and Feet.
Quickly twisting his hip and firmly planting his back leg on the ground as he attacks, Iwamaru launches a two-hit combo consisting of one straight jab to the face and one elbow strike to the side of the head or jaw in whichever order Iwaamru chooses. Aside from causing pain, disorientation, and swelling, if Iwamaru's Strength is higher than the opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, this technique can potentially break bones or cartilage on the opponent's face.

Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Pulverizer
C-Rank Taijutsu
Rushing forward, Iwamaru will attempt to clinch with an opponent, tightly gripping the opponent at the base of their neck to gain leverage, before driving a powerful knee strike directly into their torso or solar plexus. Aside from winding the opponent and causing serious pain, if Iwamaru's Strength is higher than the opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, this technique can potentially cause serious internal bleeding and break bones and cartilage.

Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Flying Titan Knee
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Stone Titan's Strength.
One of the more mobile moves in the Stone Titan Style, Iwamaru leaps forward either from standing still or from a dash and momentarily draws his knees in towards his torso before violently thrusting his knee outward into his opponent torso or weapon and armor. Aside from causing significant damage, as Iwamaru's entire weight and Strength is behind the attack, this technique has the possibility of breaking the opponent's weapon or armor if they defend against the attack with either one. If Iwamaru's Strength is higher than the opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, Iwamaru can break the opponent's weapon or armor used to defend against the attack.

Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Titan's Wrath
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu • Titan's Body - Arms and Shoulders.
Quickly twisting his hip and firmly planting his back leg on the ground as he attacks, Iwamaru launches a three-hit combo consisting of one straight jab to the face, one hook punch, and one elbow strike to the side of the head or jaw in whichever order Iwaamru chooses. Aside from causing serious pain, disorientation, and fractures and breakage, if Iwamaru's Strength is higher than the opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, this technique can potentially inflict a -3 penalty to the opponent's Speed due to the violent vibrations of the strikes affecting the target's brain affecting their coordination and gross movements.
Tora-Tosshinken Ryuu (Tiger Rush Sword Style)Show
Tora Tosshinken Ryuu (Tiger Rush Sword Style):
A sword style of Iwamaru's invention to counteract the normally rigid forms and attacks of his Ishi-Kyojin Ryuu (Stone Titan Style), Tora-Tosshinken Ryuu (Tiger Rush Sword Style) involves many dynamic and flexible movements to attack opponents from unexpected angles and impressive reach, often using good balance and a powerful, grounded center of balance and gravity to attack from impressive ranges while minimizing the number of openings an opponent can capitalize on to counterattack.

Requires: [Sword Weapons] Concentration.
StancesShow
Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Prowling Tiger Stalks the Earth
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basic stance of the Rushing Tiger Sword Style, Iwamaru keeps his legs in a wide stance and slightly bent to allow for quick, dynamic movement, holding his empty hand opposite of his sword hand for basic attacks. These movements often involve short hops for a quick, non-commital burst of movement but can also be more normal footwork as well. Attacks while in this Stance can come from a variety of angles as Iwamaru can dynamically crouch and rise while attacking and defending. In this stance, Iwamaru can fully block an opponent's attacks while standing on one leg without losing his balance, compromising his center of gravity, or being pushed back so long as his Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack that he's defending against. When attacking with this style, Iwamaru typically uses one hand to swing his sword. The empty hand serves both as a counterweight to properly balance attacks even when leaning, crouching, or standing on one leg and as a reinforcing hand to bolster the strength of his parries and blocks.
DisciplinesShow
Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Tiger Camouflage
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
By making use of centrifugal force, Iwamaru can seamlessly fuse the end of an attack into the beginning of a parry or block if he wishes. Whenever Iwamaru launches an attack, he can use the energy at the end of the attack to transition straight into a spinning parry or block whenever he so chooses. This grants Iwamaru's attacks using a Sword Weapon inherent defensive elements, placing the palm of his guide hand on the flat of the blade to increase the strength of his parries or blocks against attacks whenever he chooses to do so.

Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Crushing Paw
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
As the majority of basic attacks with this style only make use of one arm, Iwamaru has learned how to efficiently use his movements and kinetic linking to generate the force necessary to strike with full force using only one hand without creating openings in his defense or movements. This Discipline represents Iwamaru's capacity to attack and defend at his full Strength with a Sword Weapon using only one arm.
ManeuversShow
Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Crashing Pounce Sword Rush
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Momentarily using the power of both hands to enhance the speed of a slash, Iwamaru briefly grabs the bottom of his sword's hilt with his empty hand. By pulling down at the bottom of the hilt while his sword hand pushes the blade forward for a split moment at the start of an attack, Iwamaru can more quickly accelerate his next attack to his maximum Speed.

Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Hidden Predator Sword Rush
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A defensive technique designed to cover the inherent openings caused by the style's dynamic movements, Iwamaru will channel the energy of a failed attack into centrifugal force, hopping and spinning his body as he spins his sword between his hands. This technique allows Iwamaru to both defend against multiple attacks or weapons while also repositioning himself and resolidifying his centers of balance and gravity when he lands. He may continue spinning his sword and defending against attacks when he lands if he so wishes.

Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Gouging Kick Sword Rush
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Typically executed immediately after making a slash and making contact with either the opponent's guard, armor, defenses, or their body, Iwamaru quickly snaps a kick at the back of his sword. This drives the blade deeper into the area where the blade originally struck, counting as an immediate double-strike at Iwamaru's full Strength for both attacks.

Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Spiral Fang Sword Rush
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Explicitly used as a counter, Iwamaru guards the opponent's attack with his sword. Then, using the opponent's force in unison with his own, Iwamaru channels the momentum into a quick spin and counterattacks the enemy's opening with a powerful slash or thrust. Because this uses the opponent's own force against them and occurs almost immediately after the execution of their attack, it can be very difficult to dodge or counteract this technique.

Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Morning Sky Sword Rush
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s) Strength must be equal to or higher than Speed, Tora Tosshinken Ryuu • Hidden Predator Sword Rush.
Building on the use of centrifugal force in Tora Tosshinken Ryuu and giving it an advanced offensive application, this technique can be used to defend, attack, or counterattack an opponent while in the air. Iwamaru jumps at the opponent. At any point during the jump, Iwamaru can twist his body while spinning the sword, generating a large amount of centrifugal force before either blocking the opponent's attack or striking with a powerful slash or thrust, immediately accelerating to a Speed equal to Iwamaru's Strength.
