"No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always gotten there first, and is waiting for it."

General Information Age: 15.
Gender: Male.
Height: 5'8" - 172 cm.
Weight: 125 lbs. - 56 kg.
Physical Features:
  • Face/Head: Kumori’s facial features appear delicate and carefully placed. He is a handsome young man, and takes very good care of himself. With his beautiful and well groomed full head of jet black hair and obsidian eyes paired with this olive skin complexion, he is considered a pretty boy by most. Even so, besides maintaining personal hygiene, he puts very little effort into his overall appearance, even if he gives off the impression that he does. Regarding his hair more specifically, locks form into tufts of spikes; some pointing backward, some standing up, and some aiming forward and falling over his face to form bangs. The tips of his hair are dyed a bloody shade of red. This is more of personal style and showcase of individualism than for any symbolic reason. This is where some may get the idea that he puts too much effort into his appearance, besides re dying his hair every few months, his facial features and physical characteristics are natural and take little effort to groom. Given his usual attire, some are often surprised at the slightly darker pigmentation of his skin. Although this hair takes up most of the room on his head and covers some of his face, his body, including his head, is very much proportionate. Kumori’s facial features themselves have a dainty appearance, though they fit his face well. His forehead is hardly ever visible, even so it appears average in appearance, though the abundance of hair may give the illusion that it is smaller than most. In comparison to the rest of his facial features, his eyes appear to be large, however portions of his eyes are usually covered by his bangs. They have an almost wing like shape, wider in height near the nose and forming into a point toward his ears. The eyes themselves are symmetrical and solid black in color, giving off a cold appearance and demeanor. Separating his eyes is his nose, curving in between them to a sharp point. In contrast, his nose would appear smaller than his eyes if his entire face was visible beneath his hair. When his mouth is resting, as it is a majority of the time, it also gives the appearance of small, and thin lips. The only time this changes, as he rarely shows his teeth, is when he intentionally smiles wide, causing an almost unnatural spacing of his facial features. His teeth themselves are aligned perfectly and a pristine pearl color. Still, he rarely smiles and few words cause his lips to spread enough to reveal them. He often opts for a closed mouth smile even if genuine. His ears, although also covered a majority of the time by his hair, fit perfectly with a length spanning from the corners of his eyes to the corners of his mouth, an average trait. Kumori’s face comes to an end in a pointed chin, stemming from an undeveloped jawline. His jawline is not particularly muscular or distinct, rather giving him a baby face appearance.
  • Body: Build wise, Kumori is nothing particularly extraordinary. Although he appears to be small and skinny, underneath his clothing he is actually quite toned. His muscles have been sculpted through strenuous Taijutsu training, and he gains more mass the older he gets and grows into his body frame. Kumori’s somewhat thin neck leads down to the rest of his body, beginning with his less than broad shoulders. Again, Kumori’s stature may give off the illusion that he is frail, skin and bone even, however his body mass is at the apex that his frame can handle at his current age. This is partly why he dresses the way he does, as he catches many people off guard when they realize his actual strength. His chest is quite toned, though perceived negatively as a ‘bird chest’ even though this is far from true given the proportion of his body. His arms hold the same connotation, appearing thin. Upon flexing his muscles, one would see that they are very distinct beneath his clothing. His midsection is equally as toned as the rest of his body, with a strong and defined abdomen His back is equally as toned, with several distinct muscles visible in a resting stance. These trail down from pointed shoulder blades and a healthy spine, maintained by a straight and rigid posture. From his abdomen down, his waist and hips give a smooth transition to a perfectly symmetrical lower body, at least in terms of muscle mass and density. His thighs appear thin, though toned to a certain extent. His knees are strong, having never suffered an injury and durable enough to keep Kumori moving through extreme strain. His calves, in comparison to his thighs, are quite muscular from extreme workouts and training. This all leads down to average sized feet for his age. Overall, from the outside, Kumori appears to be skinny and underweight for his age and height, however he is quite defined and enjoys this common underestimating observation.
  • Notable Features: The most notable feature of Kumori that causes him to stand out, even among the Fukusha, is his hair. The tips of his jet black hair are dyed a crimson, blood resembling color.
Clothing/Accessories: Clothing wise, Kumori often opts for full coverage of his body with dark colored clothes. Although his attire is subject to change depending on the event at hand, he usually interchanges between a main, day to day and combat outfit, and a more casual one. His primary choice of attire consists of a plain, long sleeve, solid black shirt that is only slightly oversized, surpassing his wrists and ending at the first joint of his thumbs, just before they meet the webbing to his index finger. This is the most basic garment of clothing, being a cotton and polyester blend. Over this, he wears a lightweight, short sleeve shirt that is also black though with grey stitching and design. The collar, cuffs, and waist are lined with grey, with two grey patches on either short sleeve. In the center from just under the collar, leading down to the lower middle of his abdomen, his an inverted crucifix resembling design. This is simply stitching and bears no symbolic representation. Around his throat in choker fashion, is a thin black strap, with a small plate bearing the Iwagakure symbol. Also tied around his neck, in a more necklace fashion, is a string tied through a wooden pendant whittled into the symbol of the Fukusha clan. Matching the dark design of the top half of his attire, he wears standard issue shinobi bottoms. Though they fit and sit on his waist, the waist itself is hemmed with a grey waistband with black threads poking out in a dash pattern. This allows for adjustment. Attached to his left knee, bound by a grey strap, is a knee guard of sorts. The pad itself is of a red material, attached to which is a spike made of the same metal as kunai and shuriken, held into place by four studs in each of the four corners of the pad. Upon his feet are an unorthodox in appearance style of shoe in comparison to standard issue shinobi footwear. The shoe itself is closed toe, with a white base, and red heel, sole, and bottom lining. There is a black line in the shoe separating the heel from the front end of the shoe. The bottom of the shoe itself is in red square segments with a yellow stripe down the middle filled with circular segments. Right before the heel is an indent which is black and white in color. He also wears black, fingerless gloves with a small rectangular cut out on the back of the hand, opposite of the palm. Kumori’s more casual attire consists of a similarly styled black shirt with short sleeves and grey lining the cuffs, collar, and waist, though the crucifix on the front of the shirt is replaced by a simple grey stripe. In this setting he still wears all of his accessories, including his choker bearing the small Iwagakure plate and Fukusha necklace, along with his signature shoe, spiked knee pad, and his gloves. The only difference is in the clothing article themselves, albeit slight. Replacing the long sleeve undershirt is the short sleeve one described, and over this is solid grey button up shirt, though Kumori rarely buttons it, opting for a more loose and casual style. Aside from this, the only difference in his casual attire are a slightly more loose pair of black pants, requiring a belt that resembles the waistline of his Shinobi pants. This grey belt is quite long, wrapping around his waist twice and adding an extra strap to the standard appearance of a belt. These two outfits are Kumori’s go to, however during clan ceremonies he opts for a traditional black and white kimono with the Fukusha crest on the back of it.
Personality:
  • General: Kumori possesses the same cold, stoic demeanor that the Fukusha have become known for. With this personality trait, he is somewhat of an enigma. As a young boy he was very happy and outgoing, but after joining Iwagakure and watching his parents murdered before him, he has become cold. It takes quite a bit to stimulate any real emotion in him, and he has become very cynical. Kumori believes he is not meant to be close to anyone after becoming an orphan at such a young age. This accelerated his maturity, and he often appears detached and uninterested in most things. He often focuses on studying and training as a means to keep his mind busy. Aside from finding ways to become smarter or stronger, not much can hold his interest for an extended period of time. He doesn’t care much to socialize, coming off as a strong silent type. Besides his fellow Fukusha, know one else knows the trauma that he has endured. He chooses to bury the memory, preferring to not talk about or even acknowledge his parents. If it doesn’t involve becoming stronger, he seldom entertains conversations or activities. In his mind, he owes nobody anything, clan or village. He tends to be disgusted by most people, judging harshly, though rarely voicing his opinions or thoughts. He is intelligent enough to understand the consequences of his words and actions, being another reason he keeps to himself. Kumori often has feelings of emptiness, and feels his only purpose in life is to serve his clan and village, which to him isn’t very fulfilling. Though he longs for belonging and purpose, he struggles with finding them and mostly feels alone. He tends to be very serious, and whether he enjoys something or not, he never does things half ass. Kumori tends to focus on his Shinobi duties heavily as they give him tunnel vision and has less thoughts running rampant. It takes quite a bit for him to express his emotions out loud, and on the rare occasion that he does, he is very passionate. His overall personality is a culmination of feelings of powerlessness stemming from his past, and his present tendency to bottle up his emotions and isolate himself from most things.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Being mostly cynical in his approach to things his mind can’t see past, Kumori doesn’t have many ‘hopes’ about his life or how things could or should turn out. Of course he has dreams, but simply hoping for things to come true is child’s play in his eyes. In his dreams, he imagines a world where villages are abolished, where one’s blood does not bind them, where there are no expectations. He simply sees no positive endgame with the world system that is reality, and thus longs for a feeling of freedom. Although he is young, he looks at the grand scheme of things. He likes to think he makes choices that are beneficial to him. Kumori’s utopia is one that has no forceful requirements or restrictions, no judging eyes, no penalties for nonconformity, though on the surface he behaves as a model shinobi and carries himself as a proud clan member. His hopes are quite contradictory to his actual personality, possibly being a remnant of his youth. Watching his parents murders steered him down a dark path, and he hopes to one day became powerful enough to have control over his reality.
  • Fears: Even though he feels he owes no one his loyalty, he still fears being persecuted by Iwagakure. Kumori is a very good actor, demonstrating a controllable amount of pride, and feigning pride when concerning being an Iwagakure shinobi. Kumori’s two biggest fears are that someone may read his mind and act upon all of his premonitions, and that Iwagakure may again decimate the Fukusha. Wanting to be alone and actually being alone in the world are two entirely different things. Beyond these fears, Kumori fears nothing, including death. He believes his fate is already decided, and he simply carries it out based on his current thoughts and analytic action.
  • Combat Mentality: Amidst combat, Kumori turns off all emotional switches. He becomes even colder, calculating, and even less predictable. He treats combat scenarios as tests of his current level, leading him to deduce whether or not to take an all out onslaught approach or a more thoughtful, strategic one. Even if he loses a fight, he shrugs it off and thinks of it as nothing more than a learning experience, and uses it as motivation. The same goes as if he wins a fight, he considers it nothing more than fate and a testament to his ability, and shrugs it off, seeking more strength through training. Although Kumori is not egotistical or overly prideful, he is proud to wield the Shōgō-zumi, and he respects it to the fullest extent. He treats his Doujutsu as a gift rather than a tool, causing him to use it more thoughtfully than aggressively. Furthermore, if he uses the Shōgō-zumi in combat, it is the ultimate sign of respect that Kumori will give, as this means he either saw something he wishes to replicate, or he considers you a worthy enough opponent that you can witness his clan’s secret techniques. In combat, Kumori carries himself as a cold and calculated predator. He often analyzes and deduces attacks, deciding from the start whether to take a defensive or offensive approach. When he is on the offensive, he is ruthless and holds no punches. This means that given the opportunity, or taken forcefully, Kumori will beat someone within an inch of their life and even feels he could kill somebody and feel nothing from it but that they were too weak. As such, he never expects mercy to be shown to him, and fights as such. Whether facing a worthy adversary or even one he considers lesser, Kumori’s Fukusha traits seem to activate especially during combat, causing him to feel like he must outdo his opponent. Even so, given the circumstances he loses a fight or combat situation, he takes a more respectful than egotistical approach. When backed into a corner and have exhausted all available resources, he will be the first to admit defeat. This is not for fear of being killed or taken advantage of, but simply an acknowledgement that Kumori himself can be better, and can do better.

Katon:
Katon Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.
Passive (Ignition)Show
Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.
  • 1-14 Strength Requirement: First Degree Burns
  • 15-24 Strength Requirement: Second Degree Burns
  • 25-34 Strength Requirement: Third Degree Burns
  • 35+ Strength Requirement: Fourth Degree Burns

Flames of HatredShow
~Flames of Hate • Walking Stance
D-Rank Stance
The Fukusha will pair their feet in an L stance, and have a casual movement to them despite their mind being on edge. This stance is typically used to lull opponents into thinking the user is relaxed as their feet are paired shoulder width apart, and knees slightly bent for immediate leverage when needed. While moving the user will typically keep their body on edge as if to react out of instinct to dodge, parry, or block any incoming attacks. In this stance the user's keep their torso up straight.

~Flames of Hate • Tactile Palm Maneuvering
D-Rank Maneuver
When the user is fighting up close and personal, they will waive their off hand in the face of their opponent as a distraction while their other hand will perform an underhanded palm strike to the chest. This strike aims to wind them with a blow to the sternum which can create useful openings.

~Flames of Hate • Side Swipe
D-Rank Maneuver
The user will intercept an incoming strike aimed for them, and divert it to the side opposite of the hand they're using to divert. As they attempt to move the opponent around them they will raise their arm on the side they're directing the opponent, and jab a strong elbow to that person's head as an attempt to disorient or land a sturdy face blow. While rudimentary it is still a strong strike as its compatible with most incoming attacks of the physical nature.

~Flames of Hate • Flying Heel Take Down
D-Rank Maneuver
When fighting in close quarters with an opponent, the user will jut an open palm strike at their opponent's nose attempting to disorient the target before spinning quickly on their back heel as they raise their opposite leg high in the air. They will aim to strike and cradle their opponent's head down towards the ground. This move can prove fruitful for creating a wide opening on an opponent as its goal is to disorient, and then bring their opponent's down onto the ground with a strong kick.

~Flames of Hate • Elbow Tackle
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
When moving into an enemies close quarters range, the user will aim to throw their opponent's defensive stance upwards with their free hand as they aim with their opposite elbow jutting it into their opponent's ribcage to knock them down into the ground. This move can be useful when attempting to close the gap and prevent an enemy from fleeing after forcing them into close quarters combat.

*[Genjutsu • Smell Of The Deceased]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, any victim that sees the user preforming the hand seals will be induced under the genjutsu. This causes the target to begin to smell rotting flesh and decaying bodies. The jutsu can cause nausea and vomiting from the target, depending on how sensitive their sense of smell is. The smell of the dead can also cause some mental stress on the target. This genjutsu lasts for three (3) posts.

History
Historical AccountsShow
Fukusha Kumori was born during the period of time where the Fukusha were still nomads, moving around the Rock Country and never settling down anywhere in particular. The nomad life was hard on the Fukusha, as they roamed the continent hunting, gathering, seeking to trade with others, and even farming on the rare occasion that it rained in the barren land. At this point in time, the Fukusha were plentiful, boasting almost shy of twenty individual families. Many hands make light work, put also come with more mouths to feed. The clan most notably traveled through the Owari Plateau and the dry Kosshi Desert. It was travelling through the Owari Plateau that Kumori was born. The only child to Fukusha Kazuki, and his wife, Fukusha Nozomi. Kumori’s birth was under unusual circumstances.

In the early stages of the pregnancy, it was determined that Nozomi was pregnant with twins, which was cause for twice the celebration. However, when the actual birth happened, there was only one child, and that was Kumori. As actually sort of common in cases of twins, one fetus was disintegrated and assimilated by the other. Otherwise known as fetal resorption, or vanishing twin syndrome. Some of the Fukusha saw this as an omen, though others saw this as a great sign. Some understood the commonality, believing Kumori to have the capabilities of two people. Whatever was believed, the ritual to bequeath good tidings was to be commenced. Most of the immediate and extended families had prepared for two children, bringing twice the amount of gifts and sacrifices for either baby. As there turned out to be only one, Kumori was blessed with a large number of gifts for the gods. Kazuki, who valued wisdom and knowledge, sacrificed two books, one about war and the other about philosophy. He was one of the Fukusha who took the fetal resorption as a good sign, believing his son would grow into an even more intelligent and strong individual. Nozomi, however, was having a hard time processing the fact she only had half of the children she expected. Still, the ritual was to continue. She sacrificed two necklaces that could be connected, one bearing a wooden carving of yin, and one yang, meant to help the twins keep each other balanced. Instead, it was all on Kumori now. His mother cried as she burnt the necklaces, merged into one. Next was the leader of the clan, Kazuo, who was set to have another child of his own. He burned two large feathers of raptors, or birds of prey. The feather of a hawk and the feather of an owl were burned, symbolizing strength and wisdom to be divided. Kazuo’s wife, Noriyo, sacrificed two different wooden sculptures of bears, representing instincts of protection and guidance respectively.

Kazuki felt that since his son would be ‘twice’ the man, he would have to be twice as hard on him. In his early years, he was taught his clan’s history, how they had survived up until that point, and how they were surviving now. Kumori’s training began from the time he was a toddler, as his father’s Taijutsu prowess was unmatched within the clan, leading to him being responsible for a lot of the training of younger Fukusha. Kumori had an extreme interest in learning, though especially lessons in combat. He didn’t care much for the constant moving around his clan did, preferring to simply study and train. Beyond the clan’s personal brand of Taijutsu, Kumori was even more fascinated by his clan’s Doujutsu, the Shogo-zumi. Even though he had begun training, Kumori was not yet old enough to participate in more dangerous affairs of the clan. This limited him to the activities he had little interest in, being hunting and farming. After a particularly long drought, a famine struck the Fukusha. This lead to a somewhat lower morale as they had low energy and were forced to fend of slavers that attempted to capture them as they moved through the Rock Country. With these harsh living conditions, Kumori’s father Kazuki decided to do something about. Normally the wise and rational, Kazuki lead several raids, pillaging several smaller villages within the Rock Country.

As the raids continued, numbers began to dwindle as the Fukusha encountered shinobi hailing from Iwagakure. The clan never went down without a fight, slaying a larger number of the shinobi as well as losing some of their own. Tensions were high, and in private, Kazuki was losing his grip on things. At this point in time, Kumori was only eight years old, and only starting to understand the magnitude of the situation. If his father was worried, there was definitely an issue at hand.

In the middle of a cold winter night, Iwagakure struck. Kumori woke to a scream and the smell of smoke. When he opened his eyes, his mother was beside him, though his father was nowhere in sight. Nozomi was crying intensely, and embraced her son. His ears were ringing, and confusion was replaced by a sudden feeling of helplessness. When the ringing stopped, moments later, all he heard was terror. Screams, the sound of burning, the sounds of metal meeting metal; metal meeting flesh. It was at this point he realized that his father’s fears had come true. Kumori’s mother held him, attempting to cover his ears. Still, he heard a very commanding voice somewhere close outside of their tent. Run. Nozomi pulled Kumori to his feet, and dragged him by his hand outside of the tent. She began to run, pulling her young son behind him. Looking over her shoulder and seeing only horror, she didn’t realize she was running straight into harm’s way. Running passed burning tents and dead bodies, Kumori went numb. There was just too much going on for him to process. Then, it happened. Nozomi, still looking over her shoulder, ran into an Iwagakure shinobi full force. He was solid as a wall, sending her to the ground, bringing Kumori with her as they still held hands. It was only when they hit the ground that she released him, demanding he leave her and run as fast as he could. Confused, Kumori lay motionless. She watched the shinobi stand over his mother. Nozomi, thinking fast, kicked him in the groin from her prone position. As the shinobi winced and bent over in pain, she crawled to her son, who watched an expression of terror. All the training, all the obsession with combat, gone. He was in the most eminent of danger and couldn’t even move. On her knees, Nozomi pulled Kumori to his feet and pushed him, screaming at him to run. His body just wasn’t reacting. He watched as his mother was pulled to her feet by her hair. She kicked and screamed, and the Iwagakure shinobi looked at the young boy, smiling ear to ear. He reached into his pocket and removed an explosive tag. It was only then did the blood start flowing and adrenaline start pumping. Kumori began to back away slowly, though he couldn’t look away. He watched as the shinobi slapped the explosive tag on his mother’s face, and then threw her by her hair. Kumori watched as his mother’s head was disintegrated by the force of the explosion. He stopped backing away, and dropped to his knees. The ringing in his ears returned, and everything seemed to slow down. His eyes glowed, a shade of purple enveloping them, as Kumori collapsed, fainting from the trauma.

As he came to, Kumori was surrounded by only a handful of his fellow Fukusha clansmen. It appeared that they were in the center of camp, surrounded by Iwagakure shinobi. Kumori felt numb. He didn’t believe what had happened. This had to be a dream. One of the Iwagakure shinobi announced that he had a plan for the remaining Fukusha. Either they would serve Iwagakure as reparations for their crimes, or they would suffer the same fate as the many dead Fukusha surrounding them. There was a wave of reactions, varying from submission to defiance. Kumori remained on his knees in utter silence and disbelief. Where had his father been? Why was he himself spared? Nothing was right. After a few moments passed and the Fukusha whispered among themselves, deciding on the course of action, it was announced that Kumori’s uncle Kazuo would be executed for leading the clan. Thinking nothing could make this situation worse, having already watched his mother die, his heart sank into his stomach as he realized what his father had caused. As arguments in protest broke out among the remaining Fukusha, a voice sounded over all of them, and suddenly Kumori felt sick, as though he may vomit. It was his father, Kazuki. His father came forward, accepting responsibility for his actions and sacrificing himself for his brother. Kazuki couldn’t even bring himself to look at Kumori, who now lost control. He began to scream, but was restrained and silenced by his clansmen. Kumori watched his remaining parent be executed after expressing remorse and advising his family to submit to Iwagakure.

It was almost as if Kumori blacked out. Everything from here was a blur. It felt like months had passed before he came to terms with what had happened. He was an orphan by the age of eight, witnessing both his parents murdered in front of him, and now coerced into serving the village that killed them.

It took a long time for Kumori to come back to reality. He was forced to enroll in Iwagakure’s academy no later than the age of ten. The genocide of his clan and witnessing the murder of his parents changed Kumori in a way that could never be undone. It felt as if he was on autopilot for years to come. An orphan, raised by his clan, Kumori felt lost. He was numb to almost everything, and simply followed orders as a means of survival. Being so detached, he excelled in just about everything he did. The academy seemed to fly by, as he would bury himself in studying and training as means not to face his emotions. Kumori was enrolled with several of his cousins, however he never ceased to feel completely alone. Focusing solely on becoming stronger, Kumori carries a resentment for his village, though he is intelligent enough to never express this. He simply does as he is supposed to, and uses the village’s resources to his advantage. Upon graduating the academy, and having awoken his Shogo-zumi, Kumori was expected to participate in various Fukusha rituals. These included graduation tidings and Shogo-zumi awakening.

The young Fukusha had grown to resent these rituals, but he accepted his role within the clan. Being an orphan, he had nobody to fasten his forehead protector, thus his uncle, the leader of the clan, did so. There was cheering, as the fresh Genin were celebrated, but Kumori felt as empty as usual. Beyond this newly founded ceremony, Kumori had to participate in the Shogo-zumi ritual. After all, it was tradition. This ritual consisted of a tournament of all of the members who had awakened the prized Doujutsu. Sparring commenced, as Kumori had to fight one of his cousins. The point of the ritual was supposedly to breed competition, and the reserved Kumori was to spar with one of his overzealous cousins, who was full of more heart than talent. The tournament wasn’t made to be unfair, and as Kumori’s father had trained him with a focus on Taijutsu, his opponent specialized in Taijutsu. It was barely a fight, as the eager Fukusha rushed Kumori and paid for it dearly. He even had his Shogo-zumi active, whilst Kumori did not. The fight was over quickly, as Kumori side stepped the charge attempt. Off balance, his opponent turned and caught a swift palm to the nose, followed by the flying heel takedown. His fellow Fukusha watched in awe as such a simple maneuver lead to a quick victory, let alone the fact he didn’t even bother activating his Shogo-zumi.

In the second round, the victory did not come as easy. This time, there was no choice but to pit him against one of the more proficient Ninjutsu users. Kumori’s relative launched a fire style jutsu at him as soon as the fight started. Barely dodging and and having his hair singed by the flames, he realized he might actually need to use his Shogo-zumi in this fight. Upon activation, his adversary created a Flame’s Shadow katon clone, and the clone charged Kumori. Witnessing the jutsu, Kumori demonstrated his Shogo-zumi’s ability, copying the jutsu and creating a low level clone of himself as well. As the clone approached, Kumori’s clone ignored it and ran a wide route around it. Kumori did the same, being faster than the clones, and threw a kunai as he rounded it. The clone exploded in flames, giving him more insight on the jutsu besides merely copying it. As Kumori and his clone approached their opponent, the Ninjutsu user began weaving hand seals quickly, as his plan had obviously not went as planned. Kumori had not even bothered throwing a projectile to disrupt the hand seals, as him and his clone had already closed in before they could be completed. His opponent was forced into a close quarter combat situation, which they were obviously uncomfortable with. Kumori came to a halt as he neared, stopping about two meters out, as his copied clone proceeded to attack. The clone and his opponent went back and forth, before Kumori launched a kunai into the busy shinobi’s back, careful not to hit his spine and attempted to avoid vital organs. With the puncture wound, they stopped fighting and received a heavy punch from the clone, causing them to stumble. Kumori threw another kunai, this time aimed at his clone, timing it to detonate after hs opponent had stumbled backwards some, as to avoid severely injuring them. The clone detonated in a fiery explosion, the concussive force sending his opponent to the ground and unconscious with a kunai under their shoulder blade. Deactivating his Shogo-zumi, Kumori walked off nonchalantly.

In Kumori’s final round, he was the one who lost quickly. Not being one to activate his Shogo-zumi at the start of every battle, he was naive and caught off guard. Immediately being caught in a Genjutsu, it took a minute for him to realize and kai out of it. His opponent was face to face with him with their Doujutsu active and a kunai to Kumori’s throat. He lost, rather quickly. Shrugging, he bowed to his opponent and walked off the battlefield.

Kumori, through age, has known nothing apart from violence and serving higher powers. Though he complies and can put on an act to appear thankful and appreciative, he is far from those characteristics. He loathes Iwagakure for killing his parents, and he feels as though his clan had let him down. Though genuinely appreciative for them coming together and raising him the best they could, there was just a feeling deep down that haunted him. He felt nothing could make things right, nothing could rewrite what had been done. Cold, numb, and reclusive, Kumori simply carries out tasks for his clan and village as an attempt to keep his mind off the negative. He seeks fulfillment, a reason to push on, being yet provided with one, he stays as busy as possible to avoid these thoughts. He feels alone, and lost, even though he is neither. All there is for him to do is improve. Even though this is in his blood, and as the Fukusha embrace competition, he feels the only person he needs to impress is himself, and most of the time he feels this is the most difficult of tasks. Kumori has no idea what life has in store for him, living day by day as a new Genin in Iwagakure.
