Physical Features:

• Face/head: Kazuma has incredibly soft features, still rounded by his young years. His eyes are a light blue, crowned by his thick eyebrows and lashes.His ears are slightly pointed at the tips, as is his nose. He has long, tousled black hair that hangs to the tops of his shoulders at the longest and to his nose at the shortest. When it annoys him, he’ll pull what he can into a low bun or ponytail.
• Body: Still plagued by the body of a young man, Kazuma is still working on building his muscles. He’s quite gangly at the moment with his long arms, legs, and even fingers always getting in his way.
• Notable Features: A strange looking birthmark on his left shoulder blade.

Clothing/Accessories: Kazuma prefers to wear simple clothes, not having the money to spend on fashion. Standard black sandals adorn his feet as well as black pants that are form fitting but not tight. He typically wears t-shirts, usually black, and has a long black coat he wears when outside. His only accessories are a few hair ties around his wrist and a silver necklace that he never removes. It has a silver chain and at the end hangs a silver seashell pendant that opens up. Inside of that he keeps the orange crystal phoenix necklace he was found wearing.
Personality:

• General: At first meeting, Kazuma gives off the impression of being a polite and considerate young man. Which he tries to be but often fails as he has a bad tendency to speak without thinking because he’s usually thinking about something else completely unrelated to the matter at hand. He puts on a real tough guy act when needed, pretending no one and nothing can hurt him or his feelings. He has a softer side, but it doesn’t come out very often. He often struggles to feel like he belongs in Iwa, not knowing where he really came from.
• Hopes/Dreams: Kazuma dreams of making a name for himself some day. He wants to be able to travel and see what the world has to offer
• Fears: He doesn’t fear much at the moment, life being too full of new things to learn and do
• Combat Mentality: Kazuma uses long range jutsu when possible but when he’s fighting with his best friend, they work together to get him into melee range where he uses Taijutsu to gain the upper hand.

Ninjutsu	Katon Affinity A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect. Passive (Ignition)Show Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own. Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu. 1-14 Strength Requirement: First Degree Burns 15-24 Strength Requirement: Second Degree Burns 25-34 Strength Requirement: Third Degree Burns 35+ Strength Requirement: Fourth Degree Burns

This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu. The fundamental skill of [Perception] describes the user’s practiced methods of more keenly focussing their senses for a short time. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu. The fundamental skill of [Deft Hands] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a 1 foot diameter fireball at the opponent. It travels up to 10 meters away at [Control] speed and strength.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small ball of flame directly in front of them. The ball lights up the surrounding area in a 10 meter radius and requires Strength greater than [Control] to destroy. Unless destroyed, it will stay locked in it's location for 5 posts before fading.

After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a cone that is up to five meters long and three meters wide at it's base. The cone travels at a speed equal to [Control] and impacts with a strength equal to [Control].

By channeling katon chakra into a metal weapon or blade, the user will cause it to grow hotter and cover the blade in flames. The imbued weapon will be able to carve through defenses of [Control] or less strength with ease.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will create a copy of themselves out of katon chakra. The clone has stats equal to the user, and is capable of using Katon Jutsu. The clone will only last for 3 posts.

By channeling chakra into their fingers, the user then attempts to make contact with the opponent. In the event that the strike is successful, the fingers release a [Control] strength Explosion of Katon outward towards the targets body. If unused, lasts 3 posts.

By channeling katon chakra into any item, the user will turn it into a ticking time bomb. Either when 3 posts are up or when activated through the use of Chakra Kai, the object will explode, releasing all the katon chakra in it in a [Control strength explosion and scattering flames in the immediate area.

The user folds their hands over where the thumb and fingers make a cone-like point. Their defenses consist of dips and sways to dodge attacks. Their offenses are focused on pin point application of pressure using these points and lightning quick strikes.

Prerequisite: [Rigid Structure]
The user takes a stable stance with their arms wide and their legs slightly past their shoulders. They are turned slightly so either shoulder is facing their opponent. This stance offensively emphasizes powerful sweeping blows that are designed to break bones and cause great damage while defensively the stance focuses on resilience and forcing through to cause your own strikes to land through theirs.

The user's stance is low and focused on fluidity. They advance with each attack given or received, dodging to the left or right rapidly but always closing the gap. Once closed they attack with rapid, if unaimed, strikes focused on overwhelming their opponent.

This is a neutral state that is often the start of most combat. It consists of feet spread shoulder width and arms held in a prayer-like position. They focus their senses to best understand which stances will be needed, and cleanse their habits from other stances to better emulate their next one.

History

Kazuma was found in Shirosato when he was a young boy. He was estimated to be about four years old as was the girl he was found with when they walked out of the brush holding hands. The two appeared to be unharmed but could not offer any information as to who they were or where they came from. They quite literally had nothing on their person’s save for matching crystal necklaces that depicted a phoenix - Kazuma with an orange one and Sadako with a blue one. Mitsuo took charge of both children and removed them to Iwa, leaving them with one of the orphanages in the village.

The orphanage supplied them with names and a place to stay. Kazuma never remembered anything about his life prior to being found and as he got older he mostly forgot that there had been a before. Kazuma did his best not to cause trouble but he often failed due to his lack of forethought. Even worse was when anyone messed with Sadako, whom he had never lost any attachment to since the moment they were found. The orphanage practically treated them as siblings so it was easy for him to feel close to her and he felt responsible for her even if she wasn’t always the nicest to him.

When he came of age, he started at the academy and also started to come into himself a little bit more. He made many friends, the other kids often amused by the things he said without thinking. These things also often got him into trouble first with his classmates, and then with his teachers, and eventually with the orphanage. When he graduated from the academy, Sadako along with him, the orphanage set them up in an apartment together to mostly fend for themselves. Kazuma did not mind this as it was much quieter than being at the orphanage. He didn’t really think he needed anyone except Sadako anyways. They trained together, ate together, and now they lived together. It seemed a natural progression to the young man.

Freshly graduated, Kazuma is primarily focused on training and taking missions to make as much money as possible. He doesn’t take the whole thing overly seriously but he knows that he needs to be able to protect and provide and that is what keeps him motivated.
