  • Face/head:Being only a teenager, his face has a youthful look as most teenagers do, he has a smooth complexion and a slightly rounded facial expression. His eyes are a deep shade of brown, and the ring between the pupil and the iris of the eyes, glows brightly a red color due to his enkouten background. A mop of unruly, dark brown hair falls over his forehead but can be seen as a dark red In the sunlight, often getting in his way as he works at the forge so he ties it back when need be.
  • Body:He possesses a lean but sturdy build, thanks to his time and physical labor at the forge. His hands are rough and calloused signs he has never missed a day's work. Despite his young age his muscles have started to develop from years of wielding heavy blacksmithing tools.

Blacksmithing:

He wears a  thick leather apron, worn and discolored from countless hours at the forge. Scorch marks and oil stains merge with the dark leather, it tells a story of his blacksmithing journey with each discoloration. Under his apron he wears a traditional, well-worn robe and durable pants, both designed for comfort and practicality. Under his robe, he wears a skin black skin-tight material, which is well-ventilated to keep him cool in the forge's high temperatures. His pants have knee protectors, as he has spent hours crouching and working.

Hotaru's hands are covered in tough leather gloves that have been tailored to give both protection and precision. Sometimes when he is in a hurry or inspiration as struck he wraps his hands in soaked bandages to protect his hands as he works.

A cloth belt holds each of his blacksmithing tools. He wears a heavy dark boot on his feet while working with steel protectors.

Youton
Born to the Enkouten clan, this user is able to utilize Lava Release, a fusion composed of Doton and Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require Youton. Youton has a melting effect.
Melting/HardeningShow
Passive (Melting/Hardening):
Youton melts in all its techniques, making it a powerful offensive and defensive ability. Enkouton are resistant to Youton for short periods of time, but can be just as damaged by it as a normal person, even by their own techniques, if exposed for too long. The melting quality of Youton burns at such an high temperature that it tends to encapsulate everything in it's path. Despite this, however, weaker youton jutsu struggle to sustain themselves and tend to only give weaker burns to those who come in contact with it. Youton have been known to dull weapons, or even melt weapons at high levels, and flow through defensive jutsu. More importantly, the melting power of youton means that youton techniques passively reduce the strength of anything they're in contact with by 1/4th th strength of the youton jutsu per post after contact. This means a 20 strength youton technique would do 20 strength of damage at impact, then melt at 5 strength per post until it hardened. This allows youton jutsu to substantially weaken defenses over time.
Hardening:
Youton jutsu naturally harden over the course of time. Below is a chart for the longest a youton jutsu can sustain itself. The length of a jutsu is a given, but can be specified to be less than the listed amount should the user so desire. Once hardened, Youton jutsu have only 1 strength, being extremely brittle.

Doton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Doton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the doton affinity. Doton has a passive enduring effect.
Passive (Enduring)Show
Doton has a passive effect of Endurance, which means that it's power is retained throughout the entirety of the jutsu. All of a single doton jutsu retains the strength of the jutsu, even after the jutsu has been destroyed, and unlike other jutsu, doton does not fade when destroyed. This means that if a doton barrier with 25 strength is cut in half and falls to the ground, a part of that barrier could be picked up and carried as a hand held shield which would still have 25 strength, despite being a fractured part of a jutsu. This creates incredibly potent defenses, making doton a popular affinity among defensive fighters.
Katon:
Katon Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.
Passive (Ignition)Show
Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

Kouton Affinity:
Kouton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Kouton, and advanced form of Doton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Kouton affinity. Kouton has an resisting effect.
Passive (Resisting)Show
Kouton has a resisting effect. This means that Kouton jutsu ignore the effects of other affinities, regardless of their nature. If a Kouton spear was thrown through a water shield, the spear would not be caught by the shield, nor would it be destroyed by Sankaton, or cut by Fuuton. This resisting effect does not apply to active effects by jutsu. This means a fuuton jutsu that cuts with 30 strength would still cut through a 20 strength kouton shield, but it would not be affected by the secondary cutting by Fuuton. This makes Kouton very effective for breaking through and penetrating defenses that opponents expect to protect them. It's hardy nature makes Kouton very popular amoung Doton users.

This user is able to utilize Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Charge & Augment Classification. Charge Fuuinjutsu are used to create jutsu-like effects using seals. Augment Fuuinjutsu are used to enhance or limit the power of whatever they are placed on.

Weapons Crafting:
With large amounts of experience in the forge and with creation, individuals with this concentration are able to craft and create most types of weapons and armor. While this typically doesn’t grant the individual himself any additional powers, it allows him to make more powerful tempered gear for himself and shinobi than what can typically be found. However, those with such familiarity with weapons and armor are often skilled at noticing the strengths and weaknesses of weapons they face, and allow them to more easily exploit them.
Deft Hands:
The fundamental skill of [Deft Hands] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu in various ways.
Hafted Weapons:
The fundamental skill of a [Hafted Weapons] indicated the user’s proficiency with various axes, blunt weapons, flails and the like. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will coat their feet in a silvery metal acting as boots. This metal can sit on their feet for up to 3 posts before falling to useless pieces. The metal will turn into sharp 4 inch spikes at [Control] Speed that break if struck by a blow with more than [Control] Strength. This metal has an abnormally large melting point and is impervious to his youton chakra

After performing a string of hand seals, the user will focus chakra into one of their fists before punching forward. This causes a burst of lava to leap forward from the fist with a speed equal to the user’s strength and an impact strength equal to the user’s control.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing a string of hand seals, the user will form a sphere of lava the size of a tennis ball in one hand. The sphere can be thrown and explodes on impact, with a blast radius of 10 meters in any direction, and a strength equal to the user’s control. This jutsu causes 1st degree burns. The lava hardens over the span of 3 posts, reducing the strength of impacted objects by 1 strength per post.

After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a cone that is up to five meters long and three meters wide at it's base. The cone travels at a speed equal to [Control] and impacts with a strength equal to [Control].

While often thought to be an enchanting process, the process of creating chakra tempered weapons is known to most any smith who has basic chakra control. This ensures all equipment made by this crafter is tempered and does not require a static strength.

Not an actual fuuinjutsu technique, this discipline is the first step in a fuuinjutsu user being able to utilized 'Ancient Rune' techniques. A highly sought-after talent, Runes are an ancient form of fuuinjutsu much stronger than the standard fuuinjutsu and are used to embed jutsu effects into things on a permanent basis. This discipline shows that the user has the knowledge to understand Runes, and can interpret what a Rune does through visual inspection. This technique is required to learn any [Ancient Rune] technique.

D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Reflective of the first step to actually utilize Runes, the 'Novice' is able to embed D-rank Ninpou effects with up to [25] Control and any other subsequent stats into a Rune. A semi-permanent version of fuuinjutsu, previously shaped chakra can be placed into a rune and then embedded into an object, allowing for the effect to be retained by the weapon indefinitely. Unlike standard charge fuuin, Runes cannot be removed via fuuinjutsu removal, but are negated when the object is detempered. This technique cannot be performed in combat. The Novice must know the technique being embedded, or currently have it stored in another Rune.

Hotaru was born in Iwagakure, his story would be one that burned with passion as bright as the molten lava he would one day master. He was born into the well-respected Enkouten clan where his childhood was deeply rooted in the customs and traditions of his ancestors, who came from the nomadic tribes of Rock Country.

His family was tightly knit, never missing a meal together, while his father had moved away from the forge to pursue business goals. His grandfather took in Hotaru, training him in the traditional ways his father taught him. He taught him how to utilize his unique lava chakra to mold metals, in the ways their forefathers would. Each day he would spend in the forge for hours, soot covering his fingers often as he couldn't help but smile all day while forging.

Hotaru's path was exciting, but it deviated from the typical path of a young ninja. While he pursued his shinobi training with devotion to their history, his heart and mind were always in the forge. His mind was different, the clang of hammer on metal sounded to him like the greatest song one could hear.

Having grown up entirely within Iwagakure, Hotaru's love for weaponry and crafting was a part of his identity. He favored the hammer, not just as a tool for crafting but also as a tool for battle, a symbol of his clan's heritage and the traditions they held dear. He often would jot down new ideas for his crafting and hopes to travel the world to learn the best techniques.

Hotaru had a vision as a new genin that set him apart: To create the ultimate weapon, a masterpiece of his craft. His dreams had to be balanced to keep the honor and tradition of shinobi life. He knew he had to follow in his ancestors' footsteps, proving himself as both a dedicated shinobi and a master blacksmith. Each day after training as a shinobi he would return to the forge, where the ideas of the day could be hammered out late into the night

As a fresh genin, he was always striving to find the balance between the path of the craftsmen and that of a shinobi, his clan luckily had deeply seated traditions in both. He is now on his quest to create the ultimate weapon, forging metal as well as his destiny as he honors those around him and becomes the best shonobi he could be for the Enkouton clan.
