  • Face/head: Fujikawa’s face is honestly pretty ordinary. Well defined cheekbones, skin mostly free of blemishes, generally sharp features but surprisingly pale skin due to a lack of exposure to sunlight. However, she does tend to wear rather heavy concealer to try and hide the burns on her face.
  • Body:
    Fujikawa is...tall. Standing at 190cm and weighing 80kg, one would not be mistaken for thinking she is the descendent of some giant or other abnormally large offshoot of humanity but no, it is simple genetics at work. The abnormalities of her form continue sporting red hair and red eyes. The eyes are natural but the hair? That she dyes, as its natural colour of auburn makes her look FAR too like her mother and she does not want to look like that.
  • Notable Features:Aside from the red hair, not many…except for the acid burns on the right side of her face. She may cover them up with a heavy amount of makeup, and her hair, but all it takes is water to wash it off and her injuries are revealed to the world.
Clothing/Accessories: Fashion wise, she honestly looks like a femme fatale from a space opera. Black bodysuit, heels, a cape, puffed collar? You could put her alongside a Star Trek villain, and her sense of fashion would not look out of place at all. One might wonder why she has such an outfit but as should be clear, Fujikawa is a very eccentric person with little concern for what is considered normal. However, she does adopt more “ordinary” clothing when her mood demands it but for making an impression, it is the evil space emperor outfit all the way.

  • General:
    One of the most integral elements of Fujikawa’s personality is her deep-set nihilistic viewpoint of everything. Religious and moral principles are meaningless things, concepts simply thrown about to justify one thing or another. In fact, her nihilist perspective is so deep that she thinks all aspects of a person’s life are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. People are born, people die. It is all an endless and repetitive cycle, with no inherent meaning.

    You may think her nihilist perspective means she is the most depressing, soul crushing and miserable person around but...nope! She is the exact opposite. She is lively, warm, vibrant, fun loving and surprisingly optimistic all down to one simple extension of her nihilist viewpoint: If life is inherently meaningless, then simply make your own through your actions. Art, personnel connections, friendship, deeds. Religious and moral imperatives may be transitory things, but you know what is not? The acts you have done. Your memory of them. Those give meaning to one’s life, especially when you factor in her beliefs on how the most valuable thing one can leave behind is their ideas. These are how she adds meaning to her life.

    This lively and vibrant nature extends into her general persona as she can be the ultimate example of a big sister. Supportive, warm, affectionate, aggressively protective and prone to strong emotional attachment but she is no way a “proper lady.” Fujikawa could be described as a hellion, very anti-traditionalist and a downright hellraiser when she wants to be. It is no wonder she is so stubbornly independent and confidently brash. However, she is by no means a good person. Fujikawa can be spiteful, bitter and prone to a considerable amount of envy which makes her total disregard for moral imperatives a concerning risk. To put it simply, hatred and vengeance are emotional states that come VERY easily to her.

    All this waxing about philosophical perspective and base behaviour is well and good but what about hobbies? Motivations? These core things that everyone has. Well, in the case of motivation it is a topic we have touched on before: spite. As stated, Fujikawa has bad blood with her family. This bad blood, and the fiery embers it has set smouldering in her heart, are the origin of her motivator. She is out to prove her family wrong, spite fueling a desire to return to them one day and arrogantly prove them wrong.

    Ah but how does she plan to prove them wrong? You see, once her family had been mighty! Powerful! A clan feared by all! Or at the very least, that’s what the stories told by her grandmother claim. Regardless of how much or how little truth there is in these tales, Fujikawa believes them yet instead of wanting to make her clan’s name a household thing, she wants to make HER name the famous thing. It will be her name that the world trembles at! Day to day motives are simple to understand though. Cover living expenses, keep moving forward, survive, enhance her skills and just...make progress. Making progress is about as simple and basic as her day to day drive can be summed up as.

    To sum up Fujikawa’s hobbies, she generally enjoys spending time with animals. It does not matter what species, what they look like or how friendly they are. If it is an animal, she likes it…. provided it is not a domesticated animal. Domesticated animals are an unpleasant reminder of her childhood and fundamentally irritates her. She is also a fan of fishing, bird watching and just animal watching in general.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Her greatest dream is to spread her name globally! For the entire world to either tremble in terror at her name or rejoice at the sound of it!
  • Fears: Obscurity, or more accurately dying in obscurity. The very idea of that is a conceptual fear gnawing away at her.
  • Combat Mentality:Fujikawa is a chemist, summoner and medical ninja. Professions that require a great deal of precision, an attitude which bleeds over to her fighting style…ahahaha no. Not at all. While yes, when she is forced to fight directly she does typically have to use her medical jutsu in a precise fashion but that is not her preference. Her preference? All out destruction! Grand and dramatic displays of power! She employs her lightning jutsu in the dramatic manner of a super villain, blasting her opponents away with overwhelming firepower.

Raiton has the effect of shocking, which causes its effect to be diffused upon impact. In organic material, this causes nervous stimulation which results in numbness, tingling, loss of sensation, and sometimes paralysis. In inorganic material, this means that the strength of the jutsu diffuses across an area 2x the size of the attack. In a jutsu that creates a lightning ball 2m in diameter, if it struck a wall the size of the attack would cover a 4m area.

*[Iijutsu • Sterilization Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
As sanitation cannot always be guaranteed in field operations, this technique provides a quick substitute to traditional sterilisation methods. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel the chakra throughout his/her upper body (torso, arms, hands, face). This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile, and can be spread to objects, most commonly surgical tools. Of course, this takes both concentration and time, and in order to sterilise the entire upper body, it will take a duration of one (1) post. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilise certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead for a lesser concentration period. Once they are sanitised, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria.

*[Iijutsu • Oxygen Flow]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Simple in its form yet highly effective in practice, the *[Iijutsu • Oxygen Flow] technique allows its users to clear obstructed airways, to perform less extensive CPR, and to give cells the oxygen they crave. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place both over the target's chest (through the back works as well). By allowing the chakra to be channelled throughout the lungs and up through the air ways, any unseen, solid or liquid obstructions will be cleared from these passages and ejected through the mouth, allowing the patient to breathe more easily. Additionally, the hands can be placed over the heart to help oxygenate the body's cells. In this instance, users must be much more careful, as over-oxygenating cells can cause more harm than good. This technique takes the entirety of one post to perform.

*[Iijutsu • Blood Clot Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
This highly useful field technique is applied to bleeding wounds to help encourage the coagulation of the blood. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them over the bleeding wound and begin to channel chakra through it. The chakra will began to thicken the blood, causing it to clot. Wounds must be dealt with one at a time, and the number of wounds that can be tended to within the three (3) posts that this technique lasts depends on their size. Small wounds take very little time to clot, while moderate wounds take one (1) post of concentration to clot, and large wounds take two (2) posts to clot. Although this technique stops the bleeding, the wound remains vulnerable and will require further care after this has been performed.

*[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
When traditional stitching supplies aren't available, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] truly shines. After performing a short set of hand seals, the user will gently place his/her index finger at the base of the patient's wound. Once this is done, the user will lift his/her finger and touch it to the other side of the wound, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique drains a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attached to in order to keep the stitches going, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single hand seal. Any intensive or strenuous movements will cause the stitches to break.

*[Iijutsu • Burn Ointment Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A relatively simple and handy technique to have at hand, *[Iijutsu • Burn Ointment Technique] is used to alleviate pain caused by burn wounds. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them above the burn wound. As the chakra is channelled into and around the burn, it cools the area and works to prevent harmful, scar-producing blistering in the affected area. To provide this soothing relief to small areas of first degree burns, it's fairly quick to do. For small areas of second degree burns, it takes one (1) post of concentration to achieve the same effects. This technique is ineffective when applied to larger areas or burns worse than second degree.

*[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
A useful, but particularly taxing technique, the *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique] is performed on poisoned patients. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will make a small incision (with a knife, scalpel, etc.) on the patient and then place his/her hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channelled into the body, it extracts the poison out of it and into the user's palm. After one (1) post of the extraction process, the user will remove his/her hand, and place it over a container of some sort (anything that can bear liquid). From here, the liquid poison will be ejected from the hand along with the remaining chakra that was used to extract it. As this chakra interacts with the poison over the course of a second post, its molecules will be rearranged to form the antidote for the poison in question. This works only on C-Rank or lower poisons. The antidote takes a total of three (3) posts to fully rid the body of the poison.)

*[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 5 Iijutsu
Perhaps one of the most important Iijutsu techniques to date, the *[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique] allows its users to probe another's body in search for medical answers. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. Using this chakra as an internal extension of his/her hand to feel for abnormalities and other issues, the user is often able to determine the problem after some time and concentration. In order for a thorough examination to provide sufficient answers, the user will focus for up to one (1) post, seeking signs of internal and external damage, organ malfunction and disease among other ailments. Although skilled medical-nin have the possibility to work faster, skill cannot be substituted in for thoroughness.

By focusing chakra into his/her feet, the user is able to walk up trees and other vertical surfaces in a similar fashion to walking along the ground. This chakra amount must be precise, and although all shinobi learn this technique, the user's control stat will determine how well this jutsu can be executed. Users with low control 2 or lower will often fall during the use of this technique, while users with average control 3 or higher will be able to use this technique functionally. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the user's Chakra Pool.

*[Basic Jutsu • Act of Water Surface Walking]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A variation of the Act of Tree Climbing technique, this jutsu requires the user to focus a precise and balanced amount of chakra into the soles of his/her feet. By doing so, the user is able to walk on the surface of water as though it were a solid surface. Users with low control 2 or lower are much more likely to fall through the surface of the water, while users with average control 3 or higher will be able to use this technique functionally. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the user's Chakra Pool.

The base technique for summoning, the Spiritualism Technique allows users to bring forth their summons to fight on their behalf. Once an agreement has been made between the user and their summon, they will be able to use this technique to call upon it at any time unless stated otherwise. The chakra used for this technique varies, as it is dependent on the size and rank of what is being summoned. Once it has been summoned, the initial cost of the summon is equivalent to its rank. It is paid upon being summoned and then the same cost is paid as often as follows:

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will coat a weapon they are holding in Raiton electricity for 5 posts. This causes the shock effect to be produced on any contact with a target, while also granting blunt weapons the ability to cut through skin to produce shallow wounds. This also works for thrown weapons, however if the projectile remains out of contact with the user for more than 2 posts the technique will dissipate early.

After the correct hand seals are performed, the user coats themselves in a thick layer of lightning. This armour of lightning forms near instantly and requires [Control] Strength to break. During this time, the user's physical strikes apply the Raiton shocking effect.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will create a 1 meter long rod of lightning in their hand at [Control] Speed. They are then able to launch it at their Strength in a single direction. Upon contact the spear will explode with [Control] Strength. If it has not been launched by the end of the second post it will dissipate.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will extend two fingers toward a target. A bolt of lightning will jump up to 10 meters from their fingers at [Control] Speed and Strength.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will channel Raiton chakra to two of their fingers. They will then be able to fire up to three total bullet sized balls of concentrated lightning from their fingertips. These bullets will travel at [Control] speed, but will not have any physical force. Instead, they will apply light electrical burns similar to a sunburn and will apply Raiton's shocking effect.)

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will seep Raiton chakra in an area around them with a 25m diameter. This will produce an electric current on the ground in this area visible as crackling lightning on the surface. Any other than the user who step into this zone will have the shocking effect applied and their legs will sustain [Control] Strength shocks. This current lasts 3 posts, while it ends immediately if the user leaves the area.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user emits a wave of electricity from their palm in a single direction. This is produced as a 10m wide line which extends 2m into the air and travels up to 25m from the user at [Control] Speed. The wave will apply the shocking effect and reduce the speed of any living thing it strikes by 3 Speed for 3 posts by electrically interfering with the brain's nervous signals.

The rolling, grinding and crushing wheel of time is an undeniable force in the world. No shinobi, samurai or daimyo (no matter their power) can ever undo time’s touch. Its spokes roll onwards and onwards, grinding many under their remorseless impact. If the stories told by Fujikawa’s grandmother are even the slightest bit true (which they mostly aren’t, the victim of embellishment and forgotten history) once the entire world trembled before them! The entire globe was in their grasp!

However, that fictional time passed many generations ago. Now they are merely low ranking shinobi, scraping out a living with whatever dirty work they can find, the majority of the clan living under this manufactured shroud of shame for past deeds and yes, they are part of that rare five percent disconnected from any of the five families. It is the result of stubbornness and a deeply set, but entirely artificial, feeling of shame that has kept them from forming contracts with any other family.

Yet, there is one member of the family who casts off this shame: Fujikawa. From the day of her birth she was…different. She did not consider a heritage of conquerors and warmongers a bad thing, even taking a great deal of pride in it at first, an attitude that ultimately led to her expulsion from the family and being stripped of her clan name. It’s why she took up Setsuko as a family name, a replacement she simply picked to support her hunger for infamy.

But that is a spoiler, a future act that may or may not yet come to pass for the start of Fujikawa’s life was a rather good one. Of low standing her family may have been, they have enough income and standing to ensure stability and training for the young Fujikawa. It was fortunate her parents, despite living in a small compound just outside of Mist proper, were both rather skilled Shinobi themselves. They began to train and teach her throughout her life.

At first, she was the ideal inheritor. Dutiful, diligent in her studies, a firm believer in the misremembered and often contradictory history plaguing her family but over the years that…changed. She began spending more time with her grandmother, learning from the stories she told that the truth of their family history was a little bit more complicated than she had been led to believe. Simply put, it was full of contradictions.

As the years went on, and Fujikawa began to unravel these contradictions, eventually learning that it was all entirely fabricated she settled on something: Confronting her father, the head of the family, and finding out the answer to that most vital question: why. Why had this fake history been established?

The confrontation was set, the stage ready and the actors in place. After sixteen years of living the lie, a hot headed child barged into her father;s chambers, interrupting him in the middle of important business, before jumping onto the feast table. She presented her findings, demanded the truth and got the answer she wanted. It was all designed to maintain control.

The guilt, that constructed sensation of shame…it was all to prevent ambition from developing, to stop the lesser members from getting ideas beyond their station. Now that Fujikawa had learned the truth, punishment was to be meted out. Her father unleashed jutsu upon her, burning the right half of her face, a ritual act intended to visually mark her shame to the world and then? Then she was kicked out. Stripped of family name and belongings she was thrown out into the poorest and roughest parts of Kirigakure, intended to be merely slain by some thugs on the street somewhere. Instead, she was found by a member of a Hirohito branch family. A mere act of generosity had them take this unwanted child in for the night, treat their wounds and get to talking.

The truth of Fujikawa’s position was revealed, along with the machinations of her family, and over the course of the evening an arrangement was struck. The families always needed new blood to be Shinobi and Fujikawa, having had the foundation rather literally torn out from under her, needed someone to support her. She signed the contract immediately that evening, joining up as the latest member of a new branch family: the Setsuko.

You may be asking yourself why Fujikawa, as a young child, would insist on forming a new branch instead of simply signing up with a pre-existing one. The answer to that is simple: If her family wished to manufacture and live under a shroud of shame so be it but that path was not for her. She would create the very legacy her family lived in fear of but not one centred around some mere branch family name but her own name!

Yet all of that was a distant star, a far away ambition, something to reach for but not grasp just yet. As part of the deal with this branch family member, she was taken under their wing, given a place to live and sent to the academy, albeit only a tier three one given her dubious lack of a family background but that was better than nothing.

The years rolled by and, perhaps unsurprisingly given the prior training from her parents, Fujikawa managed to graduate with flying colours, even if she had to practice a bit of deceit here and there. Since then her life has consisted of her adhering to the deal she entered into with the Hirohito, working for them to wring information out of people via the means of running a pharmacy.

This pretty much brings us to the modern day, with her being just past the cusp of adulthood and finally ready to more fully devote herself to the Shinobi path and of course, her own form of revenge against her family. She will return to them as a victorious conqueror one day, a true demon that they will tremble beforeNo. Not just her family. The entire world. Fortune favours the infamous after all!

  • Body: Papiyas Metamorphosis-Demon King of the Myriad Heavens, named after the summoning contract rather than the creature’s own forgotten name, is a titanic skeletal construct. Easily standing a good twenty five metres tall, an impressive feat given how everything from the skeleton’s spine downwards remains sealed on the other side of the portal (which persists until the summoning expires) that summoned it, the creature’s boney form is charred black, burned by constant exposure to its own searing flames. It sports six arms and a golden array constructed from golden rectangular objects and a series of spoked wheels radiating out from a central golden structure but beyond that it is surprisingly…restrained design wise. This entire structure is purely for visual aesthetics/a body part.
  • Notable Features:N/A, at least beyond being “HUGE SKELETON!”
Personality:
  • General:Vengeful. Angry. Wrathful. Papiyas wishes one thing and one thing only: to make the entire world tremble in terror at them, to realise how they betrayed it and their dream, to come to terms with the folly inherent in (what they believed) to be a grave sin. After all…why would you knowingly and willingly turn against the only one intelligent enough, mighty enough, bold enough and possessed of what it takes to lead the world to a brighter future? You must truly be a fool to have done such a thing!

    However, any genuine noble desire in creating a better world for the people in it is gone. Papiyas’ fury at being sealed away, at being reduced to a mere boogeyman once spoken of and now forgotten, has twisted them. Fury and rage has drowned out rationality, their once rather noble dreams sundered and laid low. One may wonder why such a creature, with its only real desire to incite revenge upon the world, dares submit to being a summon but at first, it did in fact try to possess the contract holder it forced itself upon. Papiyas is easily described as a loaded gun, pointed at both yourself and the enemy.

Simply put, they employ relentless barrages of fire to consume everything before them but if that fails…they can simply smash you with flailing limbs.

    A character with this concentration is able to utilise Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.

    Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

    Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

    After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a 1 foot diameter fireball at the opponent. It travels up to 10 meters away at [Control] speed and strength.

    After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small ball of flame directly in front of them. The ball lights up the surrounding area in a 10 meter radius and requires Strength greater than [Control] to destroy. Unless destroyed, it will stay locked in it's location for 5 posts before fading.

    After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a cone that is up to five meters long and three meters wide at it's base. The cone travels at a speed equal to [Control] and impacts with a strength equal to [Control].

    After performing the correct hand seals, the user runs their hands alongside a potential fuel, once they take their fingers off everything the ran their hand over will ignite, the flame burning at [Control] Strength. Potentially useful in avoiding wildfires, having fueles for a fire used against them.

    By channeling katon chakra into a metal weapon or blade, the user will cause it to grow hotter and cover the blade in flames. The imbued weapon will be able to carve through defenses of [Control] or less strength with ease.

    After performing the correct hand seals, the user will puff their chest before spitting out a torrent of 15 individual fireballs, each 2 centimetre diameter. The fireballs are shot for up to 10 metres away at a speed and strength equal to [Control].

    By channelling chakra into their fingers, the user then attempts to make contact with the opponent. In the event that the strike is successful, the fingers release a [Control] strength Explosion of Katon outward towards the target's body. If unused, lasts 3 posts.

    By channelling katon chakra into their body, the user will release a burst of flame around their entire body, coming outwards from them. This sphere of roiling fire pushes outward with [Control speed and impacts whatever it touches with [Control] strength, the sphere extending roughly 25 metres in radius from the user's

    After performing the correct hand seals, the user will create a copy of themselves out of katon chakra. The clone has stats equal to the user, and is capable of using Katon Jutsu. The clone will only last for 3 posts.

    By channeling katon chakra into any item, the user will turn it into a ticking time bomb. Either when 3 posts are up or when activated through the use of Chakra Kai, the object will explode, releasing all the katon chakra in it in a [Control strength explosion and scattering flames in the immediate area.

    After performing the correct hand seals the user forms a clone made completely of Katon. This clone has stats equal to the user, and is capable of using Katon Jutsu. Contact with the clone causes [Control] Strength burns, and upon destruction it explodes with [Control] Strength force. [/nocode]

    After performing the correct hand seals the user exhales a ring of fire up to 40 metres away at a speed equal to [Control]. On impact the ring immediately erupts outwards and upwards as it's dancing flames form a dome with a 5 metre diameter and a 3 metre pitch. The dome is held together at [Control] strength for 4 posts before falling apart into wild flames.

    After performing the correct hand seals the user breathes out gently and sends a wire-thin line of flames at a target. The line can travel up to 40 metres from the user at [Control] speed. If it connects to a target, their body will suddenly burst into flames, igniting them and whatever they happen to be wearing in a searing inferno of flames.

    B-Rank Ninjutsu
    After performing the correct hand seals, the user conjures up a group of flying six serpents of flame, roughly two metres in length. They act and lash out at targets according to the will of the summoner, relentlessly seeking their prey up to a maximum distance of 40 metres from the user, equal to [Control] speed. Their physical strength and speed is equal to [control] speed and strength, with them expiring after four posts or if they extend beyond the 40 metre range.

    After the needed hand seals, the user will release katon outward from their body rapidly as the fire twists around them. This fire forms a 3-inch layer of flames around their body that manifests at [Control] speed, and essentially provides a pseudo-defense against taijutsu for the next five posts. If anyone comes into contact with the armour, they will receive burns and incoming attacks will be repelled with [Control] strength.

    History
    Once…Papiyas was a human. A warlord from an age long past, infuriated by how chaotic and maddening the world was, of how the five great nations battled among themselves. He sought to correct this, attempting to overthrow the world’s order but as expected given world history, he failed. Yet, not even death was enough to stop his ambitions and so, after returning from beyond the grave a handful of times Papiyas’ very soul was cast out, sealed away to forever prevent his return.

    However, this was perhaps not the best choice. In that prison, a sealed dimension crafted by a long deceased shinobi, Papiyas very soul began to mutate and twist, transforming into a skeletal beast crafted from pure chakra, possessed of only one desire: revenge. He once wished to make the world a better place, to unify it under his will, to put all of humanity’s resources and brilliance towards a unified vision of the future, his vision of the future but now? Now it only wishes to burn the world and for so very long, it has sought a hapless and inexperienced summoner to escape back to our world.

    Now..from where shall its story go? Will its revenge be fulfilled as it possesses a weak willed shinobi? Or will it be brought to heel? Or…perhaps a new future will open up?
