Jouchaku, Chiane The Geyser Bannin["You're still gonna stand up? Well, it's you choice... But you stand up, that means you're ready to die."]
General Information Age: 36
Gender: Female
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 140lbs
Hair: Shimmering scarlet locks cascade across Chiane's back, her hair which used to be short having grown out considerably during her training. She normally prefers to keep it up and out of the way in a ponytail, with some of the hair coming down over her eyes some, which she usually has out of the way enough to make sure she can see.
Eyes: The dull, flaxen colour of her eyes has stayed the same, her indicator of her birth right. The once cheerful lines that surrounded them have somewhat faded but it is clear that she still carries herself with a bit of that indicative, infectious happiness that she had been known for.

Physical Features: What once was an athletic body has turned to something far more feminine, but never the less, still just as powerful. Pale skin that is all thanks to Kirigakure's infamous weather and her Jouchaku blood that courses through her veins, practically coated in a layer of scars that show just how many past battles, however gruesome, she has gotten into. The two most prominent marks across her body are the one where her metallic appendage is attached and the one that spans the length of her chest. What little freckling she possesses is very light and hardly noticeable. To the touch, she is smooth, warm and inviting, much to the contrast of her outward appearance which has grown coarse, cold and stern. The smile marks that used to coat her face are still there, but have faded with time. Nevertheless, she still shows the same fiery determination in her eyes she has always had and seems to continue to prove herself in a variety of ways.

Clothing/Accessories: From simple, yet vibrant colours to far more basic shades to better represent her change, Chiane has changed her wardrobe once more and intends to keep it this way. Consisting of custom tailored clothing, all with the symbol of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist as well as Kirigakure's symbol sewn into them, Chiane has chosen to wear a kimono. Along the edges of the garment is a black border, breaking up the white of the cloth along with the right sleeve being torn and shredded. The back of her kimono has the symbol of Kirigakure, as well as it being displayed prominently on the left sleeve. The symbol of the Swordsman is displayed on her front, down near the bottom of the garment. The kimono is more open at her chest and her legs, giving her more freedom and movement and ability to breath.

Along her shoulders, she keeps a jacket draped across them, tied off around her upper chest and and acts as a sort of cape. Her footwear resembles a pair of boots with the heel and toe missing. Around her midsection, her kimono is wrapped with a piece of simple cloth and a red piece of rope. Underneath her garments, she wears a long strip of cloth called a sarashi. This acts as a pair of shorts for her.

She wears four belt pouches, two on either side of her where she holds her various pieces of throwing and explosive equipment. On her right thigh is a holster, filled with Kunai. On her left side is a simple katana since having replaced her more iconic weapon. The grip of the katana is a crimson colour.

Forehead Protector: The symbol of Kirigakure is stitched into her clothing, one displayed prominently on her back and the other displayed on her right sleeve.

Personality: Due to events that came about while she was dealing with taking over the Swordsman as well as being out of the country, Chiane's once cheerful personality has been suppressed and changed once more. Now she is a woman of serious demeanor and of calm conscious. Her default expression is far more neutral and her entire boisterous nature seems to have disappeared on the outside. The few that know her well know that when given ample drink or a good fight, she can still be her old self, but for now... Chaine is a stern but amicable woman.
Combat Style
Chiane's fighting style has changed from her time in the village but not as much as other parts of her. While her main focus in her skill with her blade, using it combined with her metal arm and her general upfront taijutsu style to bombard her opponent from bizarre angles and from vicious holds, she still has her clan's signature scalding jutsu.

She has learned to more effectively force people to come close to her by forcing steam in an area around her and create a safe zone in the middle where she can patiently await them or, if need be, move out from there after them when she can locate them.

Yugeton:
Yugeton [Steam Release] is a unique elemental affinity exclusive to the Jouchaku clan. By mixing their natural affinities for Katon [Fire Release] and Suiton [Water Release] the clan is able to create piping hot steam which posses a boil effect.
Body Modification (Kagerou):
After the tragic event that caused Chiane to lose her right arm during her Genin years, she was at a lose. It was brutal for her to have to imagine giving up her carrer as a Shinobi and this brought her into a state of utter depression. For about a week, her mind attacked her in ways that she hadn't even thought possible. However, thanks to her comrade Kuro, she was able to see a small light in this situatuion. With help from several others during her slump, she came to the conclusion that the best solution for her issue was to have an arm grafted onto her tenketsu. Not a normal arm though. One that used her clan's natural affinity for Yugeton chakra to power it. One made of metal that had steam lingering off of it. This arm supports ability channeling.

During the years of being retired, Chiane has been able to get a few modifications to her arm, gathering an array of gadgets within her arm that activate with speed and strength equal to her [Control]. These gadgets are a grappling hook with 50 meters of chain, large enough to grasp onto a person fully and pull them towards her or pull herself around, a large bladed fan, roughly 2 meters in length, that can be swept around her, and a chakra cannon that projects a point-blank blast outward of a size equal to [Control].

Suiton:
Suiton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Suiton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Suiton affinity. Suiton has a passive enveloping effect.
Passive (Enveloping)Show
Suiton's effect is enveloping, meaning that suiton passively surrounds anything that it makes contact with. Suiton techniques that do not last over periods of times (i.e, exploding techniques) drench their opponents, but long term techniques will envelop anything they come in contact with and maintain a hold on it with the 3/4th strength of the technique, rounded down. This means that if a suiton wave is shot forward with 17 strength, it will envelope and move anything with it that does not have more than 12 strength to resist it. This allows Suiton to fill a very powerful role in eliminating tools from opponent's access and capturing targets.

History
Chiane was born into the Jouchaku clan as an only child whose parents took care of her to the point of spoiling her. As a young child, she would accompany her parents to many of the festivities around Kirigakure, which help develop her cheerful and sociable personality and where her eyes would fill with wonder and amazement whenever she heard the tale for Iyashii Commemorative Day, the story being something she could never forget as she had been asked it to be told to her almost every night before she would fall asleep. During these times out with her parents, she would often see ninjas at these festivals, especially during the Water Festival where Suiton users would make elaborate and grand displays of their skill for everyone’s amusement. She would remember these moments often and eventually, as she grew older, it drove her towards the academy as well as towards wishing to practice Kenjutsu.

Before Chiane was accepted into the academy though, her father decided to help her practice Kenjutsu when she expressed a great fascination in one of his weapons, an elegant katana that he kept appreciable care of. They would practice whenever he was home, which was often enough for her to start showing a significant amount of determination to master this art. She asked once if she could try to use the weapon she had had her eyes on, only to be met with instant reprisal since she was still a novice at the art.

Yet, one day, when Chiane thought her Father wasn't home, she went to pull his prized weapon out of its sheath, her curiosity getting the best of her. It was of master quality, sophisticated craftsmanship matched with deadly elegance that she could certainly appreciate. As she was going to do so though, her Father walked by and caught her in the act of doing this. He rushed over, snatching the sword from her hands and bellowed at her for disobeying his order. As an act of teaching and discipline, he gripped the weapon and sliced across the right side of her chest, drawing the blade towards her naval but stopping before there. It left a lasting scar, which Chiane chose not to get healed as she wanted the reminder as well as the increased determination to be able to wield what was used against her.

During her academy life, Chiane began to show off her skill in Taijutsu, Kenjutsu and Ninjutsu while having very little effect with Genjutsu which didn't seem to bother her at all. She was great with the other students, talkative to a fault at times and never really shied away from a good time with her fellow students. She was a fairly good student, doing well enough throughout most of the year until it was time for her graduation. She scored excellently on her exams and was finally able to take on her rank as Genin, with a grin across her face and her eyes shining with about as much joy as could be contained in her body.

Chiane had changed dramatically all thanks to the lose of her right arm. No longer was she the bubbly girl that people once knew. She was still excitable but she had grown an air of leadership about her. Some that she adopted from her own master and others that she adopted by reading up on them. This is all due to her wanting to take over the SSM and become its leader as well as redeem herself for her shoddy behaviour when she had first lost her arm.

After being the lose of Kohon, her mentor, Chiane felt a loss in her life that was a little more profound than that of her arm.
Someone who had taught her several different lessons was gone... and now she remained. There was only one other person in the SSM than herself. She was slated to take over and yet... she didn't feel ready. On top of being announced that she was given the title of Bannin of her village, she needed to take a step back. She needed to train. She needed to focus.

Chiane took a trip to the Land of Pebbles. To train under masters of the Toryu style. In the meantime, she gained a new perspective on life. A new personality began to take its roots and a new image began to form. With time, it shaped her into what she was today. After the year she spent in the Land of Pebbles, she came back to the village. She felt she was prepared now. More so than before and finally assumed her position as leader of the SSM.

After a long period being "retired", Chiane is finally ready to step back into the life of a shinobi. She no longer cares for things like the SSM or the HHD, but would prefer just to find a comrade to have a drink with and fight with.

*[Ninjutsu • Chakra Burst]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into one of their fists, the user will then attempt to strike their target and if successful, they will release additional concussive force in the form of an outward explosion with [Control] Strength from their fist. If the user does not strike a target within 3 posts the jutsu dissipates.

*[Ninjutsu • Tracking Device]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will coat one of their hairs in chakra. Once this has been done, they will place it on their target. The user can track the exact location of the strand of hair for up to 10 meters. For up to 20 meters out, the user can track a rough location. From then out to 100 meters, the user just gets a general direction of where the opponent is. The chakra in the hair will dissipate at the end of 6 posts.

Improved Surface Walking
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After the necessary hand seals, the user amasses chakra into the soles of their feet. This causes them to hover a foot in the air over whatever object he is on top of, and can even be used to scale obstacles like it's predecessors. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the users [Chakra Pool] stat.

Shadow Clone Windmill Shuriken
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Holding a windmill shuriken in one hand, the user will perform hand seals with the other hand. Upon opening the hand that was sealing, a duplicate windmill shuriken will form in it. This windmill shuriken is just as real as the original and after impact poofs.

*[Ninjutsu • Multiple Chakra Kai]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Despite requiring both hands and more time than *[Basic Jutsu • Chakra Kai], Multiple Chakra Kai allows the user to activate up to five objects simultaneously, up to [Control] meters away.

*[Ninjutsu • Advanced Transformation Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
An advanced form of the Transformation Technique, after performing the correct hand seals and holding the final one temporarily, the user will coat and mold chakra around their body into the shape and form of something or someone which is no more than twice their size. This technique's true advantage is that the disguise is given physical substance. This means, for example, if they transform into something with claws, they will have claws that can physically be used. For the disguises 5 post duration, if it is damaged by a hit of more than [Control] Strength, the disguise "poofs" from existence. This includes collateral damage caused by striking an opponent that may occur to the disguise.

Water to Steam
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user does the needed hand seals, then touches a body of water. For each post, the water will slowly start converting to steam.
  • 2 posts: 10 meter radius
  • 4 Posts: 25 Meter radius
  • 6 Posts: 40 Meter radius
Steam Cover
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user creates the needed hand seals and then breathes in deeply. Upon exhaling the user will expel a cloud of steam from their mouth that though warm cannot burn and will cover the battlefield with a 30 meter shroud of steam, expanding to full size over the course of three posts and greatly hindering vision within the area.

Steam Bomb
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user will form a series of hand seals and create an orb of steam up to 10 meters away, a foot wide in diameter. After three posts or if touched by anything after the initial creation, the orb will detonate, spewing steam in every direction up to 3 meters away from its location, bursting outwards with a speed and strength equal to [Control].

Scalding Tendril
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming a set of hand seals the user exhales a thin cloud of steam roughly half an inch in diameter that travels up to 10 meters at [Control] speeds, visually appearing as a simple mist of sorts. When it impacts a target however it immediately flows over the target's limb or a one foot area of the body and begins causing intense pain and agony, forming layers of small burns over the area. These grip with strength equal to [Control].

Yugeton • Steam Cloud
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After the correct hand seals, the user puffs their chest before releasing a 40 meter diameter cloud of steam at a speed of [Control] directly in front of them. This cloud of steam is super-heated, burning with [Control] strength and lasts for 4 posts.

C-Rank~Yugeton • Steam Profile
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, steam will flow forth from the back of the user, forming from a whisp into an exact copy of them. The clone is capable of performing Yugeton jutsu.

Interactable Steam
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
By channeling Steam chakra into their feet and hands, the user gains the ability to interact with their own steam clouds; This allows them to climb onto, walk over or even swim through these steam clouds like water. This allows them to use these clouds as physical terrain while preventing them from being followed by opponents. This lasts 10 posts and if another Steam technique is used during this time the duration lowers by 1 post.

Shroud of Steam
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the needed hand seals, the user will begin to cover their entire body in steam, obscuring vision of themselves significantly for the next five posts, extending half a meter in each direction from the users body. For the duration of the technique, whenever the user throws a projectile of any sort it will be hidden within an orb-shaped shroud of steam which takes up a 3 feet diameter gaseous sphere in shape. Using this technique comes with the drawback of obscuring the users own vision as well. The steam produced by this technique generates heat, but not enough to burn.

~Yugeton • Exploding Popularity
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the proper hand seals, the user channels chakra into an object, then throws or places it. If anyone touches the object in the next 4 posts, it will explode with [Control] Strength into a high-pitched screeching release of steam everywhere in the immediate area.

~Yugeton • The Claw
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling chakra into their fingertips, the user causes thin 5" long wisps of steam to expel from each finger at a speed of [Control]. These wisps will hover safely above their fingers and require [Control] or more Strength to destroy. Whatever they touch is burned by the steam. If the user releases the technique, or after 3 posts, the steam is no longer able to keep it's form and fades.

B-RankSword Of The Righteous
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After forming a set of hand seals the user channels an intense amount of steam into the space between two fingers, generating a scalding 'blade' of sorts that is under incredible pressure. Measuring up to six inches in length and shaped much like a knife, this steam cloud is incredibly dangerous as the water and heat condensation makes it's edge razor sharp and hot enough to melt metal as it cuts it. This blade has a strength equal to [Control].

Yugeton • Repulsion
B-Rank Ninjutsu
The user performs a series of hand seals and thrusts their arms outwards, creating a [Control] strength burst around them that manifests at [Control] speed. The initial burst that is created shoves away particulates and projectiles and this jutsu will continuously burst away particulates and projectiles for 5 posts after the first bursts.

~Yugeton • Geyser
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing a series of hand seals, the user places their hand on the ground, forcing Yugeton chakra into the earth. So long as they remain in contact with the ground, they can force up to 10 steam pillars (2 per post), 15m in diameter, to burst up from the ground with [Control] Speed and Strength, anywhere within 60m of their body

Ambidexterity
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Close Quarters Combat]
After extensive practice and training the practitioner has gained equal strength and skill between their two hands. This allows them to perform any action with either hand at exactly the same skill level and strength.

Seamless Skill
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: Any [Weapon] Concentration
A skill utilized by those on the path to mastery of their weapon, users of Seamless Skill are actively able to transition between offensive and defensive usage of the aforementioned weapon. By transitioning so smoothly, the user is able to save a marginal amount of energy while attacking.

Spin
D-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
Prerequisites: [Acrobatics]
Utilized when the user is vulnerable on the ground, this technique allows him/her to get up easily while expelling nearby weapons and people. To perform Spin, the user swings their legs around above them, causing them to spin around. This subsequently knocks away the objects and people in their proximity at a strength equal to the user's while allowing the user to get to get up.

Skillful Wield
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: Any [Weapon] Concentration
With a solid foundation of knowledge on their choice of weaponry, those with the Skillful Wield technique are able to utilize their weapon more fully. By knowing the weapon's weakest points, the user is able to avoid presenting these areas to damage during combat, thus making their weapon less likely to break by means of recklessness.

C-Rank
Projectile Whistles
C-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Preception]
The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of things moving through the air. This allows them to hear projectiles flying at them from a general location, even if they can’t see them. This technique does not work in enclosed areas where sounds bounce off walls/doors/windows/etc.

B-Rank
Close Quarters
B-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Close Quarters Combat], [Rigid Structure]
When in enclosed areas, many fighters have may find themselves with limited space and find it difficult to get the full force out of their attack. No matter the angle, the user who practiced this discipline will be able to get full strength from their blows even if they can't extend them fully.

Tolerance
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Rigid Body]
Through years of the training, the user has learned to surpress a great deal of pain. While the body will still be harmed, the user may choose to ignore all but the most dire of injuries. This allows the user to simply push through and continue the fight with no effort.

Warrior's Awareness
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Preception]
The user has become so adept at fighting that they are able to notice things about their opponent that most might not. The longer the user fights someone, the more the user becomes accustomed to the way their opponent moves, the very minuscule details like the movement of the muscle just before a strike is to come. Those with more Taijutsu than the user will simply not be affected by this technique.

A-Rank
Situational Awareness
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Preception]
Having taken years of training to perfect this, the user has atoned their hearing with levels that are beyond human. They are able to hear the faintest of whispers, the quietest of noises, and some of the most silent shinobi around. Those that have somehow become one with the shadows themselves will be able to override this technique though.

Advancing Guard
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception]
Through years of study with the most powerful of warriors, the user has developed their ability in combat awareness to an inhuman level. The user is able to notice details that are imperceptible to most eyes. With this, the user is able to penetrate the defenses of their opponent to strike in close quarters while keeping themselves safe. Those with a higher ranked technique than the user will make this more difficult to pull of.
ToryuShow
Toryu:
Toryu, a style of Kenjutsu founded in the Land of Pebbles, melds traditional kenjutsu swordplay with subversive feints and sudden bursts of close-quarters combat, two unyielding hills crashing together to form a mountain. Toryu typically favors the use of the blade with one hand, utilizing the freedom of movement to use one's hands, joints, legs, head, and even the hilt and handle of the sword to make an already deadly style more unpredictable and more lethal. Ignorantly considered a very "unrefined" style by most practitioners of the sword, Toryu is actually one of the most difficult styles of Kenjutsu to learn and master. The very basic premise of the style revolves around the firm control and manipulation of one's own movements and body, some techniques requiring execution while using another attack as a feint or misdirection while not sacrificing strength. The style has no weapon requirements outside of a sword, but many users often prefer kodachi, wakizashi, ninjato, or even tanto, the reduced size and weight of the blades having fewer blind spots and making the user's weapon more mobile.

Requires: [Close Quarters Combat], [Sword Weapons] Concentrations.[/center]
D-Rank
*[Toryu • Skipping Stone]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.

*[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.

*[Toryu • Dust Eater]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner moves in and initiates a feint in the form of a thrust. Partway through the thrust, however, the practitioner twists their arm to the side and drops low, rotating and lashing out with a spinning low kick, attempting to sweep the opponent's feet out from under them. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist the tripping effect.

*[Toryu • Falling Stone]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Moving in to launch either an unarmed attack or an attack with their blade, the practitioner will launch a simultaneous unarmed attack or weapon attack with their other hand, bringing their fist or the pommel/butt of their weapon to slam into the opponent's guard, targeting their hands or wrists. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist being disarmed. Otherwise, the practitioner slams the opponent's guard aside, potentially allowing the original attack to strike the opponent directly.

*[Toryu • Sinking Quicksand]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
One of Toryu's many grappling techniques, the practitioner steps in close to the opponent, slamming their heel into the opponent's foot to lock the target in place. In the same movement, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and flips them over their back, slamming them to the ground unless the opponent has an Acrobatics technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique. The prone position this leaves the opponent in leaves them exposed to an attack of opportunity from the practitioner's weapon after executing this technique.

C-Rank*[Toryu • Lethal Familiarity]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A practitioner with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform attacks and techniques without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

*[Toryu • Spite Breaker]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
An unorthodox use of swordsmanship, the practitioner rushes the opponent and leaps at them, attempting to land on their shoulders. Should the practitioner succeed, they will forcefully shift their weight onto the opponent's shoulders, potentially unbalancing them. Opponents with an Acrobatic technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their guard be disrupted. Otherwise, the opponent will be suddenly thrown off balance, leaving their head, neck, or torso exposed for the practitioner to attack with their sword.

*[Toryu • Fury Guard]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique allowing the practitioner to partially customize their focus on defense or offense, the practitioner guards against attacks while immediately attacking subsequent openings with their free hand. The form this takes depends on which hand they prioritize for defense. Should they choose to guard with their sword hand, the practitioner deflects the attacks outwards, away from the opponent's center of mass where their guard is strongest, and responds by launching unarmed counter-attacks like a punch, elbow, or throw. If they choose to guard with their unarmed hand, the practitioner blocks the attack by intercepting the haft of the weapon or the opponent's wrists with the back of their fist or forearm and counter with more lethal slashes and stabs from their sword.

*[Toryu • Misery Drop]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength.
A variant of the Spite Breaker, the practitioner rushes the opponent and leaps at them, spinning and attempting to land on their shoulders, clinching their legs around the opponent's neck. Should the practitioner succeed, they will forcefully shift all of their weight back, potentially unbalancing the opponent. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their guard be disrupted. Otherwise, the opponent will be suddenly thrown back and flipped down before slamming face-first into the ground. The practitioner can roll up onto the opponent's back with this motion, offering a clean stab down into the back of the opponent's skull to finish them off.

*[Toryu • Grave Digger]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength.
Rushing in towards the opponent either as a charging attack or after evading an opponent's attack, the practitioner starts with their arms crossed in front of their chests before quickly sweeping their elbows up over their heads, the flat of the practitioner's front-most elbow potentially striking the opponent under their chin. While this elbow strike can cause considerable damage by itself, the purpose of the elbow strike is to cause the opponent to dodge. With their arms crossed over their heads, the practitioner braces their unarmed hand against their sword arm and swings both down at once. The additional torque provided by the unarmed hand allows the sword strike that follows to immediately accelerate to maximum speed. The practitioner can twist or sidestep during this downswing to compensate for where the opponent is dodging.

B-Rank*[Toryu • Granite Epitaph]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 25 Strength.
After much training with grappling, clinching, blocking, deflecting, and parrying weapons, the practitioner gains skin as sturdy as rock, allowing them even more avenues for defense and attack. This Discipline represent's the practitioner's body conditioning for toughening their skin all over their bodies, especially on their hands. This makes the practitioner's skin harder to cut or penetrate, and it allows the practitioner to perform normally self-destructive feats, such as blade catches, without needlessly harming themselves.

*[Toryu • Grim Kamikaze]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Strength stat must be equal to or higher than Speed stat.
A difficult technique designed to use the opponent's own forward moment against them, the practitioner waits until the opponent begins advancing. Then, waiting for the opponent to launch an attack, the practitioner throws themselves bodily into the opponent before the attack is executed, slamming into the opponent and potentially stunning them. Then, momentarily torquing the muscles in their body, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and releases that energy into a violent downward flip that accelerates the throw to the practitioner's max Speed. The practitioner drops to one knee to finish the throw right in front of them, cratering their opponent as they immediately bring their blade down to stab the opponent in the chest, neck, or head. This technique can be used as its own attack or as a counterattack. The opponent can escape the grapple if they have an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique.

*[Toryu • Gripping Eulogy]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Toryu • Granite Epitaph].
Varying in usefulness depending on the practitioner's position in relation to the opponent or the reach of the opponent's weapon, the practitioner places themselves slightly offset to one side in the path of an opponent's attack. The practitioner then attempts to catch the opponent's blade or weapon, latching on tightly at the weapon's dullest point before violently twisting and pulling the weapon away from the opponent. If the practitioner catches the opponent's weapon, and if the practitioner's Strength is higher than their opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, the practitioner can immediately yank the weapon from the opponent's grip, disarming them.
TaekwondoShow
Taekwondo:
Taekwondo is a style that is more focused around the strength of their lower body and swiftness of their movements rather than the strength of their upper body. This does not mean it does not use their fists, but users of this style are known for acrobatic maneuvers, bone crushing kicks and devastating knees. A user of this style is often light on their feet and tends to make less noise when just simply walking around but this does not impact their ability to be heard.
Requires [Close Quarters Combat] and [Acrobatics]
D-Rank
Arm Lock
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple technique, the user will block an opponent's incoming punch with their forearm and quickly wrap their arm around the opponent's to lock it into place. The user will then take the opening and strike at the opponent's stomach with a swift and harsh knee. This move can lead to follow ups but is devastating on its own as well.

Ukemi Mastery
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has perfected their ability to perform Ukemi. They can seamlessly move into a roll from any position and are able to evenly distribute their weight when the user is thrown, knocked down or falling.

Leg Sweep
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple maneuver that is for downing the opponent, the user will move in with a few quick steps and go for a harsh sweep to the leg of the opponent.

Foot Jab
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will lunge a foot forward to strike at the opponent. This simple technique has a variety of uses to it but typically, it is used to strike at an opponent's stomach to keep them at max distance.

Clinch
D-rank Taijutsu Maneuver
When caught in a close quarters situation, the user will cup the opponents head and hold them in place, allowing them to deliver elbows and knees at full power while hindering the opponent's movement. The user may also choose to throw the person as well.

C-Rank
Rising Roundhouse
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will attempt to counter an opponent's incoming strike by ducking low . As they are ducking, they will spin their body around until their back face's their opponent's chest and deliver a strike to the ribs with an elbow, attempting to stagger the opponent. If the opponent is staggered by this, the user will follow up with a rising roundhouse towards the opponent's head, turning back in the direction of the initial spin to complete a 360 degree motion and give their leg more power.

Footwork
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Users of this style have become adept at being able to protect their legs and as such, are able to move into or out of the way of attacks in order to mitigate damage completely.

Barrage
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user begins by striking at the opponent's stomach with a swift kick following up rather quickly with a series quick punches. One to the side of the opponent's head to stun them some, one to the opponent's stomach in an attempt to make them bend down and one to the opponent's chin to make them stagger backwards. The user will then follow up with an airborne spinning roundhouse kick to the opponent's chest to put them down.

Takedown
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
This maneuver can only be intiated if the user has gotten a hold on the opponent's arm in some manner. The user will proceed to jump up and wrap their legs around the opponent's head. If they manage to succeed, the user will slam the opponent's head into the ground before beginning to hold the opponent's arm in their grip and attempt to break it. Those with less strength than the user will find themselves unable to escape through normal means.

Guyver Kick
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A maneuver meant to catch the opponent off guard and make them duck, the user will spin quickly and jump into the air, using the circular motion to bring a leg around, keeping their other leg cocked. If the opponent were to duck, the user will let fly with their cocked leg in an attempt to strike the opponent in the head as they begin to rise up.

B-Rank
Skyward Slam
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will begin by aiming a spinning back kick towards the opponent's upper chest or chin, during which the user will duck down some, in an attempt to launch their opponent into the air, following up with a spinning somersault kick to make them bounce off the ground. As the opponent bounces and the character lands, they will perform a similar kick to the one that they launched with, this time, spinning to strike with both legs to propel their opponent back into the air, followed by yet another somersault kick to smash them into the ground for the finish to this brutal, acrobatic combination.

Acrobatic Master
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Due to their training with their acrobatic maneuvers, the user has become a master of controlling their body while in mid-air. This allows them to not only adjust their strikes for better effectiveness if the opponent attemps to move but also allows them to better control themsevles if they are to be struck at while in mid air to lower the opponent's effectiveness at countering them.
KugapouShow
Kūgāpou
Kūgāpou Taijutsu:
This taijutsu style is all about avoidance, with grace. In this style the user may slap away blades, thrown weapons, and other objects, all in the interests of preserving one's self. However this style isn't necessarily about avoiding all damage, so much as avoiding the worst damage. In instances where the user is going against an opponent they can't match, they may use this style to avoid fatal injuries to receive instead less serious injuries and live to fight a bit longer, or even another day.
Required Concentrations: [Deft Hands] and [Perception]

D-Rank*Kūgāpou • Soft Elbow
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
After using Soft Paws to slap a blade away, the practitioner will continue moving forwards while jutting out their elbow. The momentum from the target's original attack that was slapped away, coupled with the sudden defenselessness of the target after having their attack deflected, makes for a powerful counter-attack. The elbow can be aimed anywhere on the torso and above, but is usually aimed at the target's face.

*Kūgāpou • Down Paw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

*Kūgāpou • Slight Dodge
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever in a situation where they can't avoid being struck, the practitioner will slightly shift their body. This slight movement allows them to cause the incoming attack to miss any vital organs and cause as little damage as possible.

*Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Soft Paws is a bare-handed deflection technique and is used against bladed weapons. At this level, the practitioner is able to read the angles of the attacks to place the flat of their hand against the flat of the blade and push it away without getting cut by the weapon. However, prolonged use of this technique will cause the practitioner to suffer bruises on their hands.

C-Rank*Kūgāpou • Quick Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Useful for dealing with an opponent using a short weapon, such as a kunai, knife, or dagger, the practitioner waits for the opponent to attack. Taking advantage of the small size of the weapon, the practitioner then aims a slap or a punch at the opponent's fingers, aiming to simultaneously push the weapon off its trajectory and damage or even crush the opponent's fingers.

*Kūgāpou • Leveraged Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner will sidestep a weapon attack against them and attempt to disarm the opponent. They will grab and pull the weapon on a safe or dull spot before simultaneously slamming the other palm into the opponent's wrist. If the opponent has a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique, they can resist being disarmed. Otherwise, the weapon is ripped from the opponent's grasp and their hand is knocked away. Their wrist will swell from the impact, making handling weapons in that hand difficult if the wrist isn't outright broken due to the practitioner having a higher Strength than the opponent.

*Kūgāpou • Hunter's Prediction
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
By observing a weapon's movement through the air and having a deep understanding of weaponry in general, the practitioner is capable of predicting a weapon's trajectory. This technique is especially effective when the practitioner saw the actual moment the weapon was launched, as seeing the movement of the weapon wielder provides crucial information. If they didn't see the weapon being launched, they can still predict the trajectory to a smaller degree but are incapable of accounting for high-level taijutsu that may be applied to the weapon attack.

B-Rank*Kūgāpou • Calculated Paw
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paw
When fighting multiple enemies, the user has learned to use Soft Paw as more than just an evasive technique. When a bladed weapon is incoming, they perform a very calculated Soft Paw which allows them to change the trajectory of the bladed weapon to where they desire. Meaning that they are able to not only avoid the strike, but aim it elsewhere so that it may go on to strike other people around them, or perhaps to do some other beneficial action.

*Kūgāpou • Rapid Paw
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
When dealing with projectile weapons, the practitioner pushes their reflexes and their physical abilities to the limit. The practitioner attempts to rapidly catch the incoming projectile weapons, grabbing them where they will not hurt them. If successful, they can either keep the weapons for future use or they may simply move the weapons so that they're no longer a threat.

A-Rank*Kūgāpou • Sly Paw
A-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Rapid Paw
When dealing with projectile weapons, the practitioner may use this technique as a counter or simply as a defense when there are too many projectiles to defend against with Rapid Paw. By rapidly swatting at the incoming projectiles just enough to alter their trajectories, the practitioner can defend against multiple weapons. Each time the practitioner hits these weapons, they may alter their trajectories in very specific ways, allowing them slight control over their new angles so that they may actually help the practitioner instead of hurting them.
