Li Kaguya
Yet to be earned

Blood and Bone

General Information Age: 12
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 175
Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Li like all of his clan has stark white hair, though his hair goes down slightly past his shoulders. On his forehead is the tell-tale two red bruises of his clan as well. Li is extremely pale, almost ghostly pale in some ways, as if he was fighting off an illness or had seen something that shocked him. Behind the white hair is a pair of blue eyes, the same color as a clear sunny day.
  • Body: Li's body frame is lithe and athletic, it doesn't appear to have alot of extra muscle on his body and even less fat. Though looking at him, most people wouldn't say he looked in shape, he doesn't have a six pack or anything but it looks like he gets just barely enough food to live.
  • Notable Features: Ghostly Visage
    ----
Clothing/Accessories: Li normally wears clothes consisting of a bone white, loose-fitting, long-sleeved, zip-up shirt, black pants cut off around mid-calf, bandages wrapped around his ankles and traditional shinobi sandals
Picture:
Personality: Li, due the environment he grew up in, views the world in a very dark light. Human life is simply an expendable asset, and once your usefulness is done, you will be taken out like trash. This goes hand and hand with the ruthlessness that can only come from viewing another human as nothing more then trash to be taken to the bin. Failure though has a very strange place in Li mind because while failure in a mission normally means your death or the death of 'allies' but outside of that Li views failure as a chance to grow and become better. Only through trauma, defeat and blood can you become more then you were before.

Though even with the trauma Li does still enjoy some things, such as tuna Nigiri is Li's favorite food. Li is extremely quiet most of the time, rarely speaking and only in front of people he knows, and even then normally only when ordered too. Otherwise he responds with a head nod or other physical sign that he heard the request. Li is does find relationship between other humans to be strange and finds the idea of love as an alien concept to him. Even with the teammates he had in school, while they were young and had infinite potential in theory, he still didn't see a need to get attached to them outside of what was required to communicate effectively.

One of the things he does to relax is to people watch, trying to understand people and what they view the world as.
  • General:
  • Hopes/Dreams: Living a life where he can feel something
  • Fears: Feeling Something Again
  • Combat Mentality: Li's view on combat is very clinical, normally viewing it through the lens of playing chess against someone. Every move the opponent makes gives Li more information and Li waits until the moment is right to strike, hoping to end the fight in a single move. If that isn't possible, then Li has no issues using cheap and dirty tricks to get an edge to win including taking hits in order to then counter with a lethal attack.

Quote:
Kaguya
Death Bone Pulse A byproduct of the treatment for a congenital disorder, Death Bone Pulse is a Kaguya’s ability to control the ossification of their bodies to rapidly replace, grow, or produce bone from their bodies. This process is able to be consciously controlled as if it was a muscle. This allows the Kaguya to not only turn any part of their bodies into bone, but to grow new bones, or additional bones, or simply fashion things out of bone. This skill is actually a natural process that can be consciously controlled, making it a form of taijutsu, meaning all Kaguya techniques utilize the users Speed and Strength.

[Kaguya-Iaido • Bloody Eyes]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Speed.
A simple technique meant to cripple the target's vision, the practitioner slashes at his opponents with a knife hand, only to extend sharp bone out of the tips of their fingers at the last moment, making the attack harder to dodge against an unprepared opponent. The bone can be from one inch to three inches in length. This technique can be done in any single direction to either target one or both of the opponent's eyes. The user can then choose to have the small spikes fall out if they wish.

Kaguya-Ochiba • Single Finger Draw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Bone-Control
Utilizing this manoeuvre, the user creates a kunai out of the radius of whichever arm, and it falls neatly into the hand of the user, the user slipping his finger into the hole at the top. This allows the user to put a kunai into the hand of the user at the [Speed] of the user. This justu is an equivalent to standard Ochiba • Single Finger Draw, and can be used as a replacement for that justu in all Prerequisite

*Ochiba • Ambidexterity
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.

*Ochiba • Oaken Defense
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique that specializes in fighting Samurai and equalizing the battle field. The user will wait for their target to attack, and will quickly counter this by sliding the blade of their kunai onto the opponent's blade. The user will quickly move in towards their opponent while also sliding their kunai closer and closer to the opponent's hilt. This will force the angle of their blade to be raised and leaves the opponent wide open for attack.

*Ochiba • Dance Detour
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Speed
A technique that relies highly on speed, the user will attempt to slap away any incoming melee strikes or projectiles with their kunai. The average of the user's speed and strength needs to be higher than the strength the projectile was thrown at, using the momentum of their own speed to deflect the strike.

*Ochiba • Sliding Tree Sap
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Speed
A defensive technique, developed to fight Samurai, by throwing up their kunai into in incoming attack to dampen the physical strength and disrupting their opponents strikes. Even if the attack is powerful enough to break the users guard, it will dampen the strength of the opponents strike, just enough to give the user time to slide left, right or backwards whilst defending, meaning the user is usually out of the way before it hits its mark.

[Vigilance]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user maintains a constant state of vigilance with respect to their immediate surroundings and all persons in their vicinity. This allows the user to effortlessly identify and recall the environment, obstructions, and structures around them to passively recognise entry and escape routes, vantage points, probable sources of cover, and so forth. Additionally, the user can quickly recognise and differentiate civilians from trained (D-rank or higher) persons, such as by analysing gait, body structure, reactions, deftness, and the target's awareness.

[Anaerobics]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Following dedicated training, the user is capable of moving and fighting for extended periods without breathing to minimise noise or avoid inhalation. The user can hold their breath for twice the usual amount of time without hindering their own abilities or actions.

[Breathe and Listen]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user takes a deep breath and focuses their hearing on all the sounds in their vicinity, and is able to pick up on the sounds of movement within 15 metres of their position. They can accurately identify noises and the source, such as footsteps, the rustle of clothing, breathing, or the drawing of weapons. Areas with loud noises or crowds, or targets with specialised techniques to mask their sounds, can throw off the accuracy of this technique.

Death Bone Pulse • Garrote Wire
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner places both wrists together, creating a bridge of a thin wire between them, then then spread their arms apart enough to create however much length of wire required at the time. This is normally used to then create a loop, wrap it around an opponent's neck at which point the wire is pulled back into the user's wrist at [Strength] and [Speed], creating an ever tightening noose on the opponent. It is possible with enough strength and with how small the surface area of the wire is, this could lead to decapitation of an enemy.

Death Bone Pulse • Bone Blade
D-Ranked Taijutsu
The user focuses any part of their body, causing it to ossify on the surface and create a blade of various size, shape and type made out of bone that can be broken off the body and used as a weapon. The strength of the weapon is equal to the strength of the user.

Death Bone Pulse- Dance of the Willow
D-Rank Taijustu
The user produces long, hardened bones from his body that can easily puncture opponents, dealing serious damage. The user normally only generates bones sprouted from the palms of his hands, but if these aren't enough he can produce additional bones from his knees, elbows, and shoulders so that he can attack multiple targets at once. The bones can range between half a meter to a meter long if needed, and the strength of the bones is equal to the strength of the user.

[Just Listen]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Any time the user is moving, they have trained themselves to be attuned to the sound of people moving. This passive technique allows the user to accurately pinpoint targets within 30 metres of their location, and can differentiate the sounds of multiple people to separate targets and determine how many people are in a given area even if they can’t see them.

[Featherstep]
C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The user has learned to move in a particular way to lighten the tread of their feet and with carefully placed steps. This allows the user to move without leaving any visible trail to all but the most experienced of trackers, eliminating obvious environmental disturbances and signs such as footprints, scuffs, displaced dirt, and so on. The lightfooted nature of this stance imparts a +6 to Speed at the cost of -6 to Strength as the user primes their muscles for swift and gentle movement rather than power.

[Projectile Whistles]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of things moving through the air within 30 metres of their person. This allows them to hear projectiles flying at them from a general location, even if they can’t see the source.

[Target Read]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to accurately gauge their own speed and strength compared to that of a target, allowing them to determine a fairly accurate estimate as to how fast a target is moving or could potentially move, or how strong a target may be. This can help the user read their opponent's potential and better predict the flow of combat.

[Analyse]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to attune their hearing to target desired, specific sources of sound, and effectively block out all other distractions. This allows them to focus on individual targets or sounds, for example being able to pick out one conversation within a busy room, or identify one set of footsteps from among many. When focusing on a particular sound, the user can effortlessly interpret its characteristics to learn details about the source. For example, analysing the sound of footsteps can reveal the weight, size, or speed of a target, while hearing the rustle of movement could reveal the presence of armour, weapons, or other worn materials, and hearing the sound of weapons or projectiles can inform the user about the type, size, speed or strength of the weapons in use.

[Argus]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has trained their vision to accurately pick up on and interpret details even through darkness or dense visual obstructions. This technique allows the user to see clearly through shadows, darkness, or semi-transparent media such as water, ice, smoke, mist, dust, heat shimmers, and other airbourne particulate or visual disturbances out to a distance of 60 metres.

Heartbeat]
A-Tank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of heartbeats. This allows them to accurately locate and track anything with a heartbeat within 50 metres of their person, and filter the sound of heartbeats out from other surrounding noises and distractions regardless of environment.

[Precision Aim]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has studied anatomy to the extent that they can passively apply that knowledge to their strikes and aim in the heat of combat. This allows the user to identify and exploit opportunities for pinpoint attacks to cause severe internal damage to a target, such as breaking bones, rupturing organs, slicing muscles and tendons, and so forth. This technique aids the user in spotting weak points in the armour or guard of a target and deliving precision attacks in those areas to bypass physical defences and strike the body beneath.

[Instant Strike]
A-Rank Nintaijutsu Manoeuvre
The user prepares an attack or action before priming their muscles and surging forward in an instantaneous, chakra-assisted movement towards or away from a target within 50 metres, which consumes one of the user's two available teleport movements per thread. This allows the user to jump forward and deliver a lightning-fast series of strikes to a target without any perceivable precursor motion, or to attack a target already in range and then instaneously move away to a safe location by identifying an object within range that is at least 1/5th the user's size while preparing the technique. An object used in this manner must be solid and must not already be imbued with foreign chakra. The user can perform up to [Base Speed/10] strikes as part of this technique, performed at up to +12 Speed, but the focus on rapid motion leaves the user unprepared to guard and thus a corresponding Endurance debuff for the duration of the strike.

[Coverage]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned how to make the most effective use of their environment to avoid being seen and detected. This allows the user to effectively conceal themselves and blend into an environment with minimal effort, increasing their effectiveness at hiding in mist, water, ice, foliage, behind terrain, and so forth.

[Venator]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Keen eyes and a wealth of tracking experience allows the user to easily identify and track all manner of targets over extreme distances, regardless of terrain type or method of travel. The practitioner can subconsciouly pick up on signs such as disturbed foliage, footprints, and environmental disturbances, and can accurately determine their age, source, and direction of travel by their condition. The user can accurately pick out individuals from many different traces and determine the number of companions or accomplaces with the target.

[Quiescence]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to move in total silence, and does not produce any sound when moving through any means. They cannot be heard unless a person listening for them has a specialized hearing technique of equal or higher rank.

[Reaper]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has trained themselves to become perfectly attuned to all manner of sounds in a wide vicinity of their person, and can focus their hearing to up to 150 metres to identify and track targets. This passive technique allows the practitioner to accurately identify and differentiate people, animals, and all sources of noise within 50 metres of their person, even in the face of loud complicated distractions, noise, or interference. Over 50 metres, the accuracy of the technique suffers slightly and hearing at such an extent requires fewer distractions. Over 100 metres, the user requires silence in their immediate vicinity and can only gauge an approximate direction, distance, and quantity of noise sources, but can still identify the type of creature. The maximum range of this technique is 150 metres. Additionally, the user has learned to interpret vibrations through the ground as a rudimentary tremorsense, and is able to accurately track sources of movement through vibrations within 50 metres of their location.

[Chemosensory]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has achieved exceptional proficiency in identifying and interpreting different tastes and scents, and can recall previously encountered tastes and scents with remarkable accuracy from a mental catalogue of sources. This allows the user to detect trace amounts of scent even from minute sources, such as from a blade of grass that touched the leg of a fleeing target, from old footprints, or traces of scent on the wind over great distances. Additionally, the user's knowledge of scents and tastes allows them to accurately determine the origin and age of a source, and with multiple sources can effectively determine a direction and speed of travel.

[Blurred Movement]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Having undertaken intensive training sessions to drill the body into extreme high speed movement, the user has mastered a method of moving and fighting which makes their motions highly confusing to an opponent. This causes the user's movements and attacks to become extremely blurred and impossible to see or follow for anyone without a visual perception technique of equal or higher rank. Even those with such a technique will find it harder to determine the user's attack patterns or where they are aiming to strike.

Li doesn't remember how he was born or what happened to his parents, and most likely the local government doesn't know or doesn't care. More then likely it is doesn't care as Li is simply one of the many orphans left around. Maybe his parents abandoned him here so that they could try and find a better life somewhere else, maybe both of them were junkies and died or maybe they died in combat protecting the village. None of that really matters as Li is a Kaguya now. Li doesn't remember most of his childhood, other then the beatings and the constant training of his body. He only really started having memories around the age of seven or eight, at which point he started to have a much clearer picture of what he was doing and why he was doing it, and he began to learn the names of his fellow Kaguya at this point. There was very few in his age bracket, and it got fewer and fewer every year as Li got older as more and more of them died for various reasons.

Eventually Li meet another child his age named Jinn, and Li and Jinn began to become friends more friendly then others would even allow in the clan due to the children still being very easy to 'weed' at at this stage in their life. That didn't seem to matter of Li and Jinn though as they continued their training together, growing stronger together as time went on. One day Li and Jinn were walking through a series of back-alleys before Jinn had brought him to a transportation warehouse, there Jinn convinced Li to bled himself to the Karagata clan as he believed that joining this clan would help them become stronger rather then be the foot soldiers for farmers.

Li wasn't about to say no to his only friend, the one person he trusted the most, and even after they went back to the Kaguya and informed them of what had happened, after several days of severe punishment due to breaking with the normal clan's practice, they accepted this as fact and released Jinn and Li. Jinn and Li continued to train and get stronger as time went on, while Jinn was much better at charka control and ninjustu then Li, Li was far stronger, faster and had much better control over his Dead Bone Pulse.

This went on for several years, until Li noticed that waking up for morning training that Jinn wasn't in his room like he normally was. Li didn't find this odd given the fact that Jinn was more of a 'morning' person then Li was so maybe he started his training early. Li without much though started on his training as well and continued to do that for several hours. Eventually Li saw out of the corner of his eye one of the Clan Elites, someone who's name that Li didn't know but knew that he was to be obeyed without question. The man called for him and told him to follow him.

Li followed the man, without question or hesitation, to a strange amphitheater room with a sand pit in the middle and seats on the upper parts of it.Li was lead into the sand pit part of it and told to stand there and wait. Li wasn't able to see the faces or the bodies of the people up there but he did hear them moving, talking quietly and otherwise making themselves known. Li wasn't fully sure what was going on here, but he had heard that when you graduate from the academy that you have to go through some kind of test of manhood or something. Li wasn't concerned about that, given that at this point he felt that he could handle anything reasonable.

It only took five minutes of Li standing in the middle of the arena to hear the sound of something heavy and wet hitting the ground behind him. It had apparently been thrown from the stands, atleast that is the only thing that made sense to Li at the time. Turning around he found a beaten and bloody Jinn. Li was so shocked that he couldn't speak or move for a moment as words were spoken in the theater.

" Jinn, you are here by sentenced to death for the crimes of attempting to flee Kirigakure No Sato to Konohagakure no Sato with a man and a women claiming to be his parents. Your sentence is to be carried out by Li Kaguya. Li please proceed with the sentence"

Li had no idea where the words had come from, as they seemed to fill the space and didn't have a specific direction but still. Li still shocked didn't move until instinctively he jumped back as Jinn rose to his feet. Apparently Jinn still had some fight left in him, though Li could tell that he was running on empty and most likely couldn't stay standing for much longer.

Jinn had explained, to Li and the room the reasons for his crimes. They included the fact that he meet his biological parents one day in the market, even though that shouldn't have been possible. Eventually Jinn's family told him that they were going to escape to Konohagakure no Sato in order to try and get a better life for themselves and that he should come with them. Jinn had abandoned everything, his clan, his village and their friendship just for two random people off the street.

Eventually someone from the stands called for Li to finish this so they could go home. Li's body followed the command without hesitation as at this point he was filled with a level of cold anger he had never experienced. He hated the people who beat him everyday, but he understood why they did it. He hated the people who thought they were better then him but he understood. This was something that Li couldn't understand.

Li blacked out for a minute and when he awoke his hands were covered in cuts and bleeding down to the bone, including finding a tooth lodged between his right pointer and middle finger knuckle he looked down at what he assumed was Jinn, though at this point his face had been bashed in so badly that a grey ooze was coming out of holes on the side of the place that was once his skull. Li stood up at that point, his bone white robes covered in blood and brain matter, and he walked out. He had completed the sentencing of his former friend.

That night Li's mind fractured and split, in order to save his own sanity and deal with the massive amount of emotional dissonance of killing his only real friend, Li's mind began to rip apart the things that caused this to happen, including memories of the person themselves. Li now remembers Jinn as a young boy that had died early in his life but was his age, he was too timid and was killed because of it. Li never had a friend and the only thing that matters now is the village and the clan, everything else didn't matter.
