Genin ClothingShow
Hatsuyuki, or Hatsu as most know him, completely plays up his clan's natural androgyny. He will often dress and style himself in a very feminine way, even going to far as to wear dresses and skirts. However, no matter how he is portraying himself for the day, he is always geared up for battle. His most common outfit is black leggings, with black combat boots, and a black turtle neck bodysuit that has the capability of covering his nose and mouth. He most often layers this with a cream-colored sweater, of an light blue haori. If he is dressing as a boy for the day he will usually wear a pair of loose fitting shorts over his leggings, or, on the days he is dressing as a girl, he will wear a skirt that stops just below his knees. In either case, he always wears a black pouch on each thigh to store various weapons, or other tools. Unlike some of his cousins, Hatsuyuki has eyes reminiscent of volcanic glass that contrast well with his porcelain skin. Depending on how he is dressing, whether as a boy or a girl, he will style his hair accordingly. When he is dressing as a girl he wears his hair down, using his headband as more of a decorative headband than a piece of gear. However, when he dresses as a boy, he wears his headband properly and uses the excess fabric to keep his hair pulled back into a high pony-tail.
Chuunin ClothingShow
His first layer of clothing exists solely as a plain deep black colored top, untextured and coarse, marked more as a tight shirt than anything. It appears to be made of a single piece of cloth, woven by a master with no increments of stitching or signs of thread used upon the piece. Said shirt hangs loosely from his figure, which he tucks into the umanori or divided hakama. This umanori, tied snugly at the waist with a navy piece of silk, is still different from the average ninja's. Each leg flutters down to the ankle, just where Hatsu's boots poke from beneath. Along the path to the foot, the umanori are split in eight places around the calf, each split is used to better circulate air to the wearer. As articles of clothing go, the rest of Hatsuyuki's ensemble is simple. Over the black-shirt is a simple vest, the brunt of which is pure white; however, along the neckline and the stitches are a ice blue inlay giving a more regal appearance. Hatsu's boots cover his calf muscles entirely, stopping just below his knees, and expose not only his toes, but most of his feet as there is only two straps holding the sole to his feet in order to allow full, unrestrained, movement. Hatsu wears a pitch black Haori that only connects in front of his abdomen, exposing his chest. His haori has a hood that is deep enough to keep his entire head hidden from view without restricting his eyesight. From time to time Hatsu will wear his Hirohito ring, but only when not on a mission. Hatsuyuki’s hair is kept in a long braid down the center of his back. He has the Hirohito family insignia tattooed on the underside of his tongue.
Special Jounin Clothes:
His first layer of clothing exists solely as a plain deep black colored top, untextured and coarse, marked more as a tight shirt than anything. It appears to be made of a single piece of cloth, woven by a master with no increments of stitching or signs of thread used upon the piece. Starting just below his jawline, this tight fitted shirt extends down to his hips and out to his wrists. While the shirt is tight enough to appear to have been painted on, it does not restrict his movement in any way. Much the same as when he was a Chuunin, Hatsuyuki wears divided hakama pants. Each leg flutters down to the ankle, just where Hatsu's boots poke from beneath. Along the path to the foot, the hakama are split in eight places around the calf, each split is used to better circulate air to the wearer. Hatsu's tabi boots cover his calf muscles entirely, stopping just below his knees, and are made primarily of a black dyed leather. Hatsuyuki keeps his hair tied up and away from his face in either a tight bun, or a high ponytail. He almost never wears his Hirohito ring.

Chuunin PersonalityShow
Hatsuyuki has always been a very happy soul, however, this has recently changed due to experiencing the Chuunin exams. He has become quiet and reserved, preferring to allow others to speak while merely listening. He has also begun focusing more on his abilities as a shinobi, using it as a way to cope with having to kill his best friend. He routinely enters into seclusion where he will spend days, or even weeks, training alone. He believes this allows him a greater understanding of his techniques and himself.

When it comes to dating, Hatsu is simply uninterested in the entire concept. He knows that he has been in an arranged marriage since his birth, but has actively avoided meeting the woman he will marry and hopes that the clan can forget about the entire thing. This is not to say that he is a virgin. Whenever he feels the need for a carnal release he simply hires whichever gender he is interested in at the moment, takes care of business, and then goes on about his life.
The events leading up to Hatsuyuki’s promotion in rank have changed him on a fundamental level. And he is not sure if it is a good or a bad thing. Although still quiet, and reserved, he has found a very cruel, and sinister side of himself that seems to cause as much suffering as possible, as evidenced by him willingly drowning his enemies instead of killing them outright. He is still highly focused on his training, seeking to improve himself whenever possible. Hatsuyuki has stopped dressing as a female, and is working to rid himself of his childish tendencies.

Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu:
Charge& Augment Fuuinjutsu
This user is able to utilize Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Charge & Augment Classification. Charge Fuuinjutsu are used to create jutsu-like effects using seals. Augment Fuuinjutsu are used to enhance or limit the power of whatever they are placed on.
Sensory:
Sensor
Sensors are shinobi who are able to activate a sixth sense which can locate and read chakra sources. Sensory is advantageous as it allows shinobi to perceive without using any of their conventional senses, which can easily be deceived. Sensors are able to collect a lot of information through the interpretation of this sixth sense.
Hyouton:
Hyouton has the ability to dynamically cool anything, rapidly decreasing the temperature of entities and areas via techniques and producing effects such as freezing, frostbite, and hypothermia. The temperature decrease, and the area they can decrease, is determined by the Control of techniques, with more talented Aisu able to create snap freezes that can kill with ease.
Inorganic targets can be frozen to a depth of [Control/10] metres per post if the Control of the Hyouton technique is greater than or equal to the Strength of the object. Organic targets experience the scaling effects below, unless healed by iijutsu or countered by techniques, of equivalent Control to the cooling effect, that provide warmth to the affected area for an equivalent length of time:
Hyouton PassiveShow
≤14 ControlTargets suffer from first degree frostbite, with the affected area turning red, painful, and experiencing localised swelling.
15–24 ControlTargets suffer from second degree frostbite, with the affected area turning a pallid white and blistering with localised numbness. The target suffers from -1 to Endurance for the remainder of the thread or until healed.
25–34 ControlTargets suffer from third degree frostbite as the deep tissues and blood vessels within the affected area are subjected to the intense cooling. Hypothermia begins to set in, inducing shivering in the target and reducing their Endurance by -2 for the remainder of the thread or until healed. Without healing, the affected area turns black after 3 posts.
35–44 ControlTargets experience fourth degree frostbite throughout a wider affected area, with the surface freezing too rapidly for any colour change to occur. The affected area will become entirely numb, and severe hypothermia induces slurring of speech and loss of coordination in the target. Affected areas left untreated for over 5 posts are likely to experience permanent tissue death.
≥45 ControlTargets experience such intense flash-freezing that joints and muscles being to seize throughout their body as even deeper tissues become frozen. Permanent gangrenous tissue death becomes highly likely if the affected area is not healed within 3 posts. The target suffers from -3 to Endurance for the remainder of the thread or until healed.
Suiton:
Suiton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Suiton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Suiton affinity. Suiton has a passive enveloping effect.
Passive (Enveloping)Show
Suiton's effect is enveloping, meaning that suiton passively surrounds anything that it makes contact with. Suiton techniques that do not last over periods of times (i.e, exploding techniques) drench their opponents, but long term techniques will envelop anything they come in contact with and maintain a hold on it with the 3/4th strength of the technique, rounded down. This means that if a suiton wave is shot forward with 17 strength, it will envelope and move anything with it that does not have more than 12 strength to resist it. This allows Suiton to fill a very powerful role in eliminating tools from opponent's access and capturing targets.
Fuuton Affinity:
Fuuton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Fuuton affinity. Fuuton has an cutting effect.
Passive (Cutting)Show
Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/2 the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.
GenjutsuShow
Sound Initiation:
This user has learn to use sound cues to initiate genjutsu. Allowing them to create sounds and sustain sounds to capture their targets in a genjutsu.
TaijutsuShow
Deft Hands:
The fundamental skill of [Deft Hands] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu in various ways.
Sword Weapons:
The fundamental skill of [Sword Weapons] indicates the user’s proficiency with swords and sword-like weapons such as knives, daggers, sword-breakers and the like. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Stealth:
The fundamental skill of [Stealth] describes the user’s proficiency in remaining silent, unseen and unnoticed as they go about tasks. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Perception:
The fundamental skill of [Perception] describes the user’s practiced methods of more keenly focussing their senses for a short time. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Weapons Crafting:
With large amounts of experience in the forge and with creation, individuals with this concentration are able to craft and create most types of weapons and armor. While this typically doesn’t grant the individual himself any additional powers, it allows him to make more powerful tempered gear for himself and shinobi than what can typically be found. However, those with such familiarity with weapons and armor are often skilled at noticing the strengths and weaknesses of weapons they face, and allow them to more easily exploit them.
Requires [Deft Hands] Concentration

Technique Information
Hyouton NinjutsuShow
~Arctic Soul
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user channels a small pulse of hyouton chakra throughout their own body, carefully reducing and controlling their internal body temperature to prevent overheating through any external means. This jutsu has no range and can only cool down the user's body to the point that it can cause first degree frostbite on contact. This technique can last for five posts.

~Ancient Wind
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user channels a thin current of cooling hyouton into the air around them, mixing and weaving it around the warmer natural air to create a localised pressure differential and natural gusting wind. This can be used to push at and deflect airbourne entities within 10 metres of the user with [Control] strength, however is believed to be one of the oldest forms of hyouton ninjutsu ever devised by the ancient Aisu, who used it in a non-combat manner to master the waves and sail the oceans at speed.

~Chilly Day
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user prepares a quantity of hyouton chakra within one of their limbs or weapons to begin this technique, and then attempts to make contact with an target. Upon striking, the hyouton will surge through the point of contact and into the target's body, shocking them with a distracting burst of intense cold and taking their breath away.

Chilled Aura
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user creates a swirling sphere of snow that expands ten meters around them, and moves with them. Those that enter this domain of snow for an entire post will begin to have snow accumulate on their body and they will begin to suffer from frostbite based on the user's [Control]. This technique lasts for 3 posts.

~Ice Senbon
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Suiton] concentration

The user will thrust a hand forward while preparing this technique, forming a set of five senbon in front of their fingertips. The senbon can be collectively fired at any time over the next three posts at [Control] speed to hit with [Control] strength.

~Frost Burst
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Holding a throwable object or weapon in one hand, the user will channel hyouton chakra into it to prepare this technique. Once thrown during the next three posts, the temperature of the item will rapidly drop until it explodes, shattering into frozen shrapnel with the force of a single tag upon impact or at a 'kai' release from the user.

~Morning Chill
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will inhale deeply and saturate their breath with hyouton chakra before slowly exhaling to perform this technique. As they breathe out, the area within a 15 metre radius of their body will rapidly drop in temperature to freezing conditions. This technique will freeze any natural moisture in the air or any airbourne particulates created with less [Control] and create a veil of ice that distorts vision in the area.

Hyouton - Glacial Spikes
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After forming the required hand seals, the user stomps on the ground in order to send a wave of their Hyouton chakra outwards in a circle. This chakra fills the ground 10m around the user, and, within the next 4 posts, the user is able to cause spikes of ice to erupt from the ground with a speed and strength of [Control] by performing Kai.

~Frozen Breath
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will prepare a quantity of hyouton chakra into their throat to begin this technique, then exhale with icy breath onto an inorganic target. Any material within the area of the breath will be rapidly chilled to the point of brittleness, weakening it by [Control] strength.

~Breath Away
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user prepares a quantity of hyouton chakra within one of their limbs or weapons to begin this technique, and then attempts to make contact with an target. Upon striking, the hyouton will surge through the point of contact and into the target's body, shocking them with a painful burst of intense cold and rapidly cooling the air within their lungs, resulting in a loss of -3 strength of the next four posts.

~Frost Fire
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user creates a circle in the air with motions of their arms or hands and unleashes a wave of prepared hyouton chakra through them at [Control] speed, attempting to intercept any katon or related techniques of equal or lesser strength. Upon making contact, the target technique will rapidly decrease in temperature to the point that it fizzles harmlessly out.

~Cryoshell
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user prepares a shell of hyouton chakra around their body, bringing the temperature of an isolated pocket of surrounding air to subzero conditions for the next five posts. So long as the user does not move faster than [Control], they will retain the frigid air shell and be able to apply its cooling effects with taijutsu strikes or to incoming strikes that have a Strength lower than [Control].

~Tundra
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will prepare a large amount of hyouton chakra and unleash it into an area of ground within 30 metres of their location at a speed of [Control]. From the point of impact, the ground will rapidly freeze and turn into an icy tundra, spreading for up to 30 x 30 metres in a direction of the user's choice during casting. Plant life within this area will wither and die, the ground will become frozen to a hardness of [Control] strength, unable to be broken except by stronger techniques, and footing will become slippery and unstable for anyone without an appropriate traversal technique of equal or higher rank.

~Frozen Water: B Class
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Suiton] concentration

After performing a Suiton jutsu, the user will channel hyouton chakra and rapidly freeze that technique. While the technique may lose it’s ability to permeate and envelope, it will become solid in quality, gaining +[Control] strength in impact force. This technique is useful for trapping in the event the suiton technique has already enveloped something.

~Freezing Corruption
B-Rank Ninjutsu
When fighting a clone, the user channel hyouton chakra before striking the clone. The air around the clone will rapidly condense, freezing the clone and permeating its artificial skin, causing the clone to burst. Any clones struck this way will be unable to explode with any force upon death.

~Blizzard
B-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will channel hyouton chakra while inhaling, and then slowly exhale. Over the course of the next post, the temperature in a 60 meter radius of the user will rapidly drop to an extreme, biting cold, able to freeze bodies of water at [Control] speed. Any beings within the area of the technique will suffer from extreme exposure, with their bodies cramping, slowing, and shivering uncontrollably. Remaining exposed in this area for consecutive posts can result in a loss of coordination and a confused state of temporary amnesia as the cold begins to suffuse the brain. Additionally, katon techniques used in this area will cost 2x as much chakra to prepare.

~Hypothermia
B-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will prepare hyouton chakra and inhale deeply. The process of breathing in will rapidly freeze their body, dropping their core body temperature to that of a corpse. Their bodies functions will come to a near complete halt, their heart beat reducing to approximately 1 beat every minute. The user will appear dead to any medic assessing them unless they have an advanced assessment technique. This allows the user to effectively pass as being deceased. After 5 hours, the users body will return to it’s proper temperature, and the user will “return to life”.

Hyouton - Whiteout
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: ~Blizzard Sensor
After forming the required hand seals, the user releases a large burst of chakra into the air around them. This causes a heavy snow storm to begin forming in a 60x60x60 meter area around the user. The user is then able to acutely sense anything the snow touches. This snow storm restricts visibility to 3 meters, and dampens all sound generated more that 3 meters away. Additionally, any beings within the area of the technique will suffer from extreme exposure, with their bodies cramping, slowing, and shivering uncontrollably. Remaining exposed in this area for consecutive posts can result in a loss of coordination and a confused state of temporary amnesia as the cold begins to suffuse the brain. Additionally, katon techniques used in this area will cost 2x as much chakra to prepare.
Sekisetsu TaijutsuShow
Developed by the Aisu and most recently popularised by Aisu Haruna, Sekisetsu was derived from watching snow flurries dance through the air. Sekisetsu involves constant swaying back and forth, while switching a bladed weapon from hand to hand, and from standard position to a dagger-like inversed grip position. Practitioners of Sekisetsu rarely stay still for longer than a few seconds during combat and are constantly surging back and forth in an attempt to find an opening in an opponents' defense. Sekisetsu can be used with a variety of weapons, but typical practioners prefer tanto, wakizashi, and/or katana.
Required Concentrations: [Sword Weapons], [Deft Hands]

*[Sekisetsu - Blade Shift]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Blade Shift is a maneuver learned after hours of training, and allows the user to switch from a standard sword grip to a downwards dagger grip, and back again, seamlessly with either hand or between hands, and even in the middle of strikes or full maneuevers. This core element of Sekisetsu converts a practitioner into a highly unpredictable and opportunistic opponent.

*[Sekisetsu - Swaying Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The most basic stance of Sekisetsu, the user of Swaying Winds sways side to side, and back and forth, mimicking the way a snow flurry moves and preventing obvious telegraphing of movements or strikes. Opponents will find it incredibly difficult to interpret or predict the user's next movements unless they have a visual perception technique of equal or higher rank.

*[Sekisetsu - Leaping Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisite: [i]Blade Shift[/i]

The user will bring their blade upward from their hip in a wide, diagonally arcing slash, before immediately flipping the blade and slashing back down along the same path.

*[Sekisetsu - Rebuke]
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
The practitioner will use the pommel of their blade to attack their target by slamming it into them, usually aimed at weak spots on their body.

*[Sekisetsu - Ambidexterous]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Through hours of rigorous training, the user has learned to not only wield a blade in either hand, but has also learned to dual wield two blades at once in any grip position, and can adapt learned manoeuvres, stances, and disciplines to function with either or both weapons.

*[Sekisetsu - Snowblind]
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisite: [color=skyblue]Hyouton[/color] concentration

The hyouton practitioner blend chakra into their mouth and then attempt to spit in their opponent's eyes, using the super-cooled saliva to temporarily blind the target and afflict the target with frostbite. They will then immediately follow-up with an upward slash to the target’s abdomen.

*[Sekisetsu - Layer of Ice]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [[color=skyblue]Hyouton[/color] concentration

The hyouton practitioner will run their finger or tongue along their blade in an intimidating fashion, while simultaneously imbuing the weapon with hyouton chakra. For the next six posts each strike of the blade will cause frostbite equal to the scaling strength of the user's [Control].

*[Sekisetsu - Shifting Blades]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Blade Shift; Ambidextrous

A staple of the Sekisetsu Kenjutsu style, Shifting Blades allows the user to swap weapons between grips, and shift them between hands while dual wielding, simultaneously without any delay, even in the middle of a strike or maneuver. The user has become so seamless and proficient in the action that this can often occur without an opponent noticing, with targets being unable to follow the switching nature of blade positions without a visual perception technique of equal or higher rank.

*[Sekisetsu - Icy Hands]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Icy Hands is a technique developed for use when cutting, and stabbing, an opponent is not an option. The user will fold their hands around the blades of their weapons, with their thumbs resting on the spine of the blades. This allows the user to utilize the hilt of their weapons as blunt maces, without cutting themselves from holding the weapon in a strange fashion. Experienced users with a [Speed] in excess of an opponent's can also use this technique to safely counter incoming strikes by grabbing the backside of a swung blade.

*[Sekisetsu - Shifting Winds]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Shifting Blades

As the wind shifts around any obstacle, so to does the user’s blades. Shifting Winds is the trained reaction of redirecting one’s own attack mid swing without losing momentum. Should the user’s Speed stat be great target’s, the target will be unable to follow the movement.
Zantou KenjutsuShow
*[Zantou • Winter Solstice]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basic Stance of Zantou, the practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. The low blade grants the practitioner the ability to quickly defend against an opponent's attack while the blade raised overhead allows the practitioner to either quickly attack or counterattack with a powerful downward swing or thrust. This pairing of defense and offense serves as one of the cores of Zantou's swordsmanship. Drawing in a deep breath, the practitioner also gathers up their energy and releases a kiai. This Stance allows the practitioner to ignore non-critical distractions and minor environmental factors, such as small amounts of excess heat, small amounts of excess cold, small amounts of fatigue, and even small amounts of pain, allowing them to focus entirely on their opponents' movements and the tasks at hand. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +2 increase to Strength and +1 increase to Will Power but suffers a -2 penalty to Chakra Pool and -1 penalty to Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.

*[Zantou • Winter River Flows]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The physical training and mental focus encouraged by Zantou allows for the practitioner to adapt quickly and take advantage of opportunities to attack when they present themselves in combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to alter the direction of their blade mid-cut. This can be used to work around a block, or simply to act as a powerful feint and strike all in the same motion without stopping. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.

*[Zantou • Shifting Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Sekisetsu - Ambidexterous]
Complete control of the weapons one is wielding is a necessity to ensure a practitioner of Zantou is proficient in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to switch either one of their swords (or both, if they wish) from standard grip to reverse grip reflexively, the movements to do so firmly trained into their muscle memory. This allows the Zantou practitioner to ensure that the cutting edges of their blades are always facing the opponent whenever they want them to be. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.

*[Zantou • Cold Snap]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
While slashing an opponent, the practitioner twists their wrist while simultaneously channeling the momentum of the first attack into another slash in a different direction, allowing the practitioner to attack another area of the opponent's body with the same sequence of movements.

*[Zantou • Falling Icicle]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
This technique can be performed as a standalone technique, often supplemented by feinting a slash, or can be linked to another attack. The practitioner twists their wrist and channels their momentum into a downward thrust, lodging their blade into the opponent and potentially pinning them to the ground or another surface. The opponent can force the practitioner away if their Strength stat is higher than the practitioner's Strength stat, but doing so hastily can cause additional damage as the blade continues to expand the wound even further. Conversely, the practitioner can opt to twist the blade in the wound and pull it out, causing further damage to the opponent and possibly severing important tendons or veins.

*[Zantou • Eyes of the Snow Owl]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
The practitioner of Zantou must be capable of both defending and attacking within the same movement. This Discipline represents the practitioner's training and capacity to block an attack with one sword while simultaneously attacking with the other while wielding two or more weapons, making it more difficult for opponents to adequately block or counter the practitioner's attacks.

*[Zantou • Frigid Gust]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Zantou harnesses the inner strength of its warrior to cause the opponent to falter. Intentionally clashing with the opponent's weapon at a weak point, the practitioner immediately torques the muscles in their arm to violently push and twist the weapon in a single direction. An opponent affected by this technique must have a Strength higher than the practitioner's Strength to avoid losing their grip on their weapon or being disarmed entirely. The practitioner can immediately follow up on this opening with a slash with the other weapon if they so wish.

*[Zantou • Winter Snow]
C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter Solstice].
Building upon its parent technique, this Stance further builds upon further sharpening and refining the practitioner's capacity to focus on the opponent and the task at hand. The practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. While in this Stance, the practitioner can more easily ignore non-critical distractions, focusing solely on the opponent(s). They also are able to ignore moderate heat, moderate cold, moderate fatigue, and even a moderate amount of pain. They can read the opponents' muscle contractions and body positioning more accurately in this stance, and they are able to read both the direction and the type of attack that is imminent. The opponent can still effectively mask their movements if they have a movement-concealing Stealth technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +2 increase to Strength and Will Power but suffers a -2 penalty to Chakra Pool and Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Paradigm]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Much of a human's movements are inefficient and waste energy, especially in regards to combat. The practitioner has learned how to fully synchronize and harmonize the movements of their body in and out of combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge and mastery of kinetic linking, the efficient movement and transferal of potential energy from one part of the body to the other, eliminating potentially wasted Endurance and chakra and allowing the practitioner to last longer than ordinary in a fight.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Prowl]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner carefully scrutinizes his opponent's defenses and attacks whatever openings present themselves. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to quickly recognize the base effective range of an opponent's weapon and inherent weaknesses in their defenses, including if there are none. This technique does not provide supernatural insight into an opponent's techniques which could alter those parameters, but this technique can be used in conjunction with other information the practitioner has to build a complete mental profile on the opponent's capabilities.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Fangs]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using the opponent's own guard as an avenue for attack, the practitioner will feint as to clash against the opponent's defense. Then, as the blade's edge is about to make contact, the practitioner will twist the said blade and push the blade forward as the flat of their weapon makes contact against the opponent's guard. This allows the practitioner to initiate a slash or thrust against the opponent by sliding the flat of the blade along the opponent's guard. This tricky technique can allow the practitioner to exploit inherent weaknesses in the opponent's guard and even push through an opponent's defenses to attack them.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pup Bite]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
As opposed to most attacks, which aim to do as much damage as possible as in few movements as necessary, this technique aims to slowly whittle away an opponent from the outside in. Whenever an opponent parries or blocks an attack, the practitioner can quickly sidestep, dragging the weapon along the opponent's guard and making a small incision somewhere along their outer extremities. While the cuts themselves are shallow and may appear superficial at first, continued use of this technique against an enemy can result in significant blood loss. Each successful application of this technique will leave a wide, shallow cut that will increase the pace at which the opponent loses blood and, in turn, Endurance.

*[Zantou • Twisting Blizzard]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity], *[Zantou • Shifting Winds].
The practitioner uses their skills with their weapons to obfuscate their next attacks. By constantly spinning the blades with their hands and fingers, randomly switching directions, the practitioner can reflexively choose not only what kind of strike to use and which direction to launch the attack from, but also whether to use standard grip or reverse grip the split-second before launching the attack. This can make the practitioner very unpredictable in a fight. This technique can be used in conjunction with other techniques to help mask the practitioner's intentions.

[Hunter’s Cryptolect]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A Head Hunter can convey a hundred meanings without ever opening their mouth. This discipline represents the user’s mastery of the Hunter’s Cryptolect, a secretive and complicated means of communication taught exclusively to members of Kirigakure’s Head Hunter Division. More than just a spoken or written language, the Cryptolect incorporates vocal, somatic, tonal and metered elements which can be used individually or together to convey detailed private messages. This grants practitioners the ability to communicate silently such as through hand signs and body language, cryptically through a scrambled written or spoken cipher, or even by hiding meanings and messages in plain sight by concealing elements of the Cryptolect into seemingly plain, everyday sentences, for example by using tones, accents, or hidden patterns in the meter of a phrase. This communication is innately cryptic and unintuitive, often interspersed with rogue elements to throw off a potential eavesdropper, making it nigh impossible to be realised—let alone properly interpreted—by anyone not trained in its particular use at the Head Hunter Division headquarters.

[Vigilance]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user maintains a constant state of vigilance with respect to their immediate surroundings and all persons in their vicinity. This allows the user to effortlessly identify and recall the environment, obstructions, and structures around them to passively recognise entry and escape routes, vantage points, probable sources of cover, and so forth. Additionally, the user can quickly recognise and differentiate civilians from trained (D-rank or higher) persons, such as by analysing gait, body structure, reactions, deftness, and the target's awareness.

[Anaerobics]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Following dedicated training, the user is capable of moving and fighting for extended periods without breathing to minimise noise or avoid inhalation. The user can hold their breath for twice the usual amount of time without hindering their own abilities or actions.

[Breathe and Listen]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user takes a deep breath and focuses their hearing on all the sounds in their vicinity, and is able to pick up on the sounds of movement within 15 metres of their position. They can accurately identify noises and the source, such as footsteps, the rustle of clothing, breathing, or the drawing of weapons. Areas with loud noises or crowds, or targets with specialised techniques to mask their sounds, can throw off the accuracy of this technique.

[Just Listen]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Any time the user is moving, they have trained themselves to be attuned to the sound of people moving. This passive technique allows the user to accurately pinpoint targets within 30 metres of their location, and can differentiate the sounds of multiple people to separate targets and determine how many people are in a given area even if they can’t see them.

[Featherstep]
C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The user has learned to move in a particular way to lighten the tread of their feet and with carefully placed steps. This allows the user to move without leaving any visible trail to all but the most experienced of trackers, eliminating obvious environmental disturbances and signs such as footprints, scuffs, displaced dirt, and so on. The lightfooted nature of this stance imparts a +6 to Speed at the cost of -6 to Strength as the user primes their muscles for swift and gentle movement rather than power.

[Projectile Whistles]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of things moving through the air within 30 metres of their person. This allows them to hear projectiles flying at them from a general location, even if they can’t see the source.

[Target Read]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to accurately gauge their own speed and strength compared to that of a target, allowing them to determine a fairly accurate estimate as to how fast a target is moving or could potentially move, or how strong a target may be. This can help the user read their opponent's potential and better predict the flow of combat.
Crafting TechniquesShow
*[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
D-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu Concentration]
Not an actual fuuinjutsu technique, this discipline is the first step in a fuuinjutsu user being able to utilized 'Ancient Rune' techniques. A highly sought after talent, Runes are an ancient form of fuuinjutsu much stronger than the standard fuuinjutsu and are used to embed jutsu effects into things on a permanent basis. This discipline shows that the user has the knowledge to understand Runes, and can interpret what a Rune does through visual inspection. This technique is required to learn any [Ancient Rune] technique.

*[Ancient Rune: Novice]
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Reflective of the first step to actually utilize Runes, the 'Novice' is able to embed D-rank Ninpou effects with up to [25] Control and any other subsequent stats into a Rune. A semi-permanent version of fuuinjutsu, previously shaped chakra can be placed into a rune and then embedded into an object, allowing for the effect to be retained by the weapon indefinitely. Unlike standard charge fuuin, Runes cannot be removed via fuuinjutsu removal, but are negated when the object is detempered. This technique cannot be performed in combat. The Novice must know the technique being embedded, or currently have it stored in another Rune.

*[Ancient Rune: Ninpou Storage]
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Having learned how to utilize ancient runes, this user has also learned how to store and manipulate pre-existing chakra shapes. By generating the rune, the user can bring the Rune in contact with a Ninpou Technique with less [Control] than the Rune was drawn with. This will absorb in the technique into the Rune, and store the chakra for a later enchantment. This can only store enough for a single Ninpou enchantment and must be done multiple times for more.

*[Weapons Crafting • Shinobi Tool Set]
D-rank Weapon Crafting Maneuver
The most common secondary weapons used by shinobi are shuriken, kunai, senbon, and arrows. Having spent so much time producing these specific weapons, this smith is able to produce said weapons at half the price, allowing them to buy 10 of the weapons for the price of 5.

*[Weapons Crafting • Sword Weapons]
D-rank Weapon Crafting Maneuver
This smith has specifically learned how to craft various type of normal sword type weapons including daggers, short swords, and katana, reducing the production cost for them by half.

*[Weapons Crafting • Hafted Weapon]
D-rank Weapon Crafting Maneuver
This smith has specifically learned how to craft various types of Hafted weapons such as axes, blunt weapons, flails and the like, reducing the production cost by half.

*[Weapons Crafting • Faults]
D-rank Weapon Crafting Discipline
Perfectly crafted weapons are rare, few and far between. A skilled smith is able to recognize and strike against weak points in other weapons during battle. At this level, striking against these weak points reduces the Endurance of the equipment by -1.

*[Weapons Crafting - Reforged: Strengthening]
D-Rank Weapon Crafting Maneuver
The user uses their refined knowledge of special blacksmithing methods, their chakra, and other materials to enhance the capability of a weapon or item by increasing its [Strength] and [Endurance] stat by 5 points each time the technique is used on the item. Due to the crafter's level of proficiency, they are able to perform this crafting enhancement at half the normal cost.

*[Weapons Crafting • Tempering]
D-rank Weapon Crafting Discipline
Prerequisite: 5 Control

While often thought to be an enchanting process, the process of creating chakra tempered weapons is known to most any smith who has basic chakra control. The skill represents the smith’s ability to recognize minerals and ores that are good for accepting the tempering process, and know how to temper weapons with chakra. This ensures all equipment made by this crafter is tempered and does not require a static strength.

History
HistoryShow

To say Hatsuyuki had a strange upbringing would be a vast understatement. Born to a pair Aisu Genin, who were fourteen and fifteen respectively, he was given the name Early Snow to denote his parents' young age. It was not until he was much older that Hatsu found out that his parents had been in an arranged marriage and that they chose to have him early on in order to fulfill their obligations to the clan. See, he didn't grow up with one set of parents, but two. Not because of divorce or death, but because his parents both preferred members of the same sex.

In order to "keep up appearances," his biological parents, instead of getting a divorce, moved their lovers into the house as "roommates" so that they could all live in a much bigger house. In a situation much like his own, Hatsu's elder sister was born to two gay parents as well, though from the Hirohito family. Yuri, being a few years Hatsu’s senior, helped prepare him for life in the academy by being his sparring partner when their parents began teaching him Taijutsu.By the time he had entered into the academy he had already begun practicing the Aisu clan’s Kenjutsu style as well as practicing with their Kekkei Genkai.

It was obvious that, while not a prodigy, Hatsuyuki was naturally talented. Even though he primarily excelled at Taijutsu, it was clear from the very beginning that he did not lack in skill when it came to Ninjutsu, or even Genjutsu. However, it was due to his natural talent for Taijutsu that he was paired with a Genin primarily gifted with Genjutsu upon graduating from the academy. They were practically a match made in heaven as far as they were concerned. While he would rush their target in melee range, his partner Yusuke would use his Genjutsu for crowd control. With Yusuke being from a lower caste merchant family, he practically worshiped Hatsu and listened to him in every situation. This did not pose a problem for either of them in the beginning, that is, until they took their Chuunin exam.

Yusuke panicked and begged the proctors to let him fight someone else. Hatsu, having been prepared for this moment months in advance by his family, waited calmly to the side as he watched his best friend’s pleas fall on deaf ears. He had already begged his family to arrange things differently once they told him what was going to happen, but they simply told him that there was nothing they could do. He had spent a month in meditation, refusing to meet with anyone as he focused on nothing but his sword. Once Yusuke finally realized that there was no way out of the situation he nearly went insane. It became all too easy for Hatsuyuki to cut down his best friend while he was in such a broken state. Truthfully, he knew in his heart that if Yusuke had been in the right mindset he would have lost. Yusuke’s Genjutsu were simply that good.

Despite training in an entirely new sword style, Hatsuyuki has found himself not within the ranks of the Seven Swordsmen, but with the ranks of the Head Hunters. While he has mainly performed menial tasks for the organization within the confines of the village, the most prominent mission they have seen him included in was the massacre an island inhabited by pirates. He was by no means in a leadership position on the mission, merely a rank and file, but he was found to have performed well enough to warrant a promotion to Special Jounin.

Shiranui NaginataShow
The Shiranui family heirloom naginata is a magnificent weapon with a rich history that spans generations. Crafted by skilled artisans of a bygone era, this traditional polearm stands as a testament to the family's legacy and unwavering dedication to their duty.

The naginata's shaft is made from aged oak, meticulously carved to perfection and polished to a deep, lustrous sheen. Its length of seven and a half feet, is carefully balanced, allowing for precise control and swift strikes. Adorned with intricate engravings, the shaft tells the tales of the Shiranui ancestors and their heroic feats as loyal guards of the Hirohito.

At the tip of the naginata rests the elegantly-crafted blade, forged from high-quality steel, and is two feet long. The blade gleams with a silvery edge, sharp enough to cut through adversaries with ease. It showcases the Hirohito family's crest etched delicately onto its surface, symbolizing their unyielding loyalty and honor to the Hirohito.

The weapon's guard is a work of art in itself, an exquisite combination of practicality and aesthetics. Crafted from a mix of brass and iron, the guard features a stylized representation of swirling mist, signifying the family's connection to Kirigakure, the Village Hidden in the Mist. This design not only adds to the weapon's allure but also ensures a secure grip during combat.

The naginata's pommel is adorned with a gemstone of deep azure, said to represent the tranquil waters that surround Kirigakure. The gemstone serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a calm and focused mind, even in the heat of battle.

The Shiranui family naginata holds a unique significance in its history and the unwavering dedication of those who have wielded it. Passed down from one generation to the next, it serves as a symbol of the family's heritage and the unbreakable bond between past and present. Its true magic lies in the stories it carries and the honor it upholds as an essential part of the Shiranui family's legacy.

Kushou RyuShow
* Kushou・The Viper Flicks its Tongue
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This simple technique involves thrusting quickly with the user’s long weapon from a distance before quickly pulling back their polearm to prevent counters. This techniques most useful aspect is that it can be used while in motion without affecting speed or momentum.

* Kushou・The Courtier Taps his Fan
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This simple technique involves proper use of the pole of the user’s weapon to deflect blows. By properly angling and manoeuvring their spear or staff they can deflect other like weapons, hand to hand blows or even sword blows by striking the right place at the right time, even while in motion.

* Kushou・Parting the Silk
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: * Kushou・Low Wind Rising
This simple technique involves engaging an opponent’s weapon or one of their arms and moving it slightly to one side with the user’s weapon. This creates a very small opening which the user then exploits by kicking the opponent, keeping their weapon guarding the opponent’s arms.

* Kushou・Low Wind Rising
D-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
The foundational stance of the Kushou style, Low Wind Rising involves the spinning of the user’s spear or polearm around their body constantly whilst remaining in motion. While in this stance, the user will be able to deflect projectiles with less strength than their own, while also making unpredictable movements of their spear.

* Kushou・The Swallow Takes Flight
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will vault themselves into the air using their polearm and then unleash a powerful blow from above. This technique is used to disorient and surprise foes as well as overpower them as it strikes with all of the user’s body weight and momentum from the spin they perform in the air in order to strike with the spear that was touching the ground moments before.

* Kushou・Twisting the Wind
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: * Kushou・Low Wind Rising
This is the core technique of the Kushou Style. The user will begin in the Low Wind Rising stance and then approaches their opponent. They will begin with a wide arcing blow to begin this combination of blows. Following this they will spin their polearm and their body as they follow their opponent across the battlefield, chasing them down as they block and evade. This technique takes the user’s entire post, and can strike a number of times equal to half their speed. Those who block more than one blow will suffer a -3 to Strength for 3 posts as the weapon’s momentum and force jars their body.

* Kushou・Bundling Straw
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
This technique is a kind of mental preparation for the constant movement and spinning involved in the Kushou style. This enables the user to gather snippets of vision, sounds and tactile sensory information in order to be properly aware of the battlefield around them whether standing still or in rapid circular motion. The user is effectively aware of their surroundings within 25m of their person, able to recognize when attacks are coming and the body positions of opponents.

History Takeshi's life in Kirigakure had always revolved around his duty as a guard. His dedication to training with polearm weaponry was relentless, and he earned his way up to becoming a Chuunin through sheer determination and hard work. His simplicity and humility endeared him to his comrades, and he was respected for his unwavering commitment to his duty.

When the time came for Aisu Hatsuyuki to receive a bodyguard, Takeshi was assigned to the task. Hatsuyuki was a talented young shinobi, but he lacked the combat experience Takeshi possessed. Despite the age difference, a strong bond formed between the two as they spent countless hours together, training and undertaking minor missions.

Their first mission together was to escort a high-ranking diplomat through the “slums” of the village, to the village gates. Ofcourse, Hatsuyuki’s Genin rival Yusuke was with them as well. Takeshi took his duty seriously, always staying vigilant to protect Hatsu from potential threats. Along the journey, they faced thugs and beggars, people unsatisfied with their station in life, but Takeshi's expertise in Taijutsu and polearm combat proved invaluable in defending Hatsuyuki.

As the years passed, Takeshi's guidance and protection played a crucial role in shaping Hatsuyuki into a skilled and capable shinobi. He respected Takeshi deeply, not only as a bodyguard but also as a mentor and friend. Their bond has allowed Takeshi to push himself harder than ever before, as he has slowly fallen further and further behind his young charge. While he primarily remains within the Aisu compound, waiting for Hatsuyuki to call upon him, he has begun training to be more than a simple bodyguard and takes classes to learn to better manage Hatsuyuki’s household as a butler would.
