Minoru is a gaunt, shell of his former self. Light barely dawns in his once gold and warm eyes, now left a murky burnished amber.. like the color is slowly being leeched from them. He has always been tall, but that length no longer lends itself to the potential of broad shoulders and a growing form. He seems malnourished- starved at worst. Gone are the days of the attractive, wild-eyed youth. Now, hail the days of unkempt hair, liquored breath, and vacant expression.

Minoru is a broken soul. Where he once was earnest, foolhardy at times, and care-free, he is now nothing more than a drunkard. The stress of shame, the hurt of death so close to him, and last but not least the near destruction of his mind and body at losing Aturasu and the ensuing captivity served to overwhelm the young man. He is a shell of his former self, having little to nothing to live for outside of the revenge he wishes to swear upon his father and the impotence he feels knowing that without chakra, he can never avenge his mother's death.

Born as an only child to his aging parents, Mino solely carries on his family's name. Because of health complications in his mother, his family is small and poor. His father was a mid-ranked ninja, without achievement or reputation. His father's only claim to fame were high scores at the Academy, apparently he was going to be a powerful Genin. Mino does not know what occurred between then and now, just that his father never quite lived up to the hype. At one point Mino's relative obscurity was acceptable, but with the surge of Awai coming forward in the ninja ranks, pressure is being put on him to succeed. Without the money Mino is expected to produce from successful missions, the family will descend into poverty. Prior to the academy, Mino never really interacted with his clansmen, due to his family's shame for never being able to produce more than one offspring. Whether this is founded or not Mino is not sure. At this point he is socially venturing out for the first time.

Since becoming a part of Team 19 Minoru's life has taken a turn for the better. He completes missions alongside his partner, Hyuuga, Makoto which means his family has a steady stream of income. Time has drawn him closer to the mystery that is his father, Kau. So far he has learned that his family's terrible standing within the Awai is because of him, but not exactly what Kau has done. His mother does not speak about it, and Kau spends all day gone from the home.

Since receiving an an accolade from the Awai Clan his confidence in his own abilities, and the clan's view of him has increased. He looks forward to becoming a Chunin, and has his sights set on serving the clan in a larger capacity as soon as he is able.

Some years ago Minoru was selected by the leaders of Konoha to house the Genma Aturasu no Sougenma This development in his life has created another world of possibility for the young Awai, but has also left him with an incredible task: he must master himself to awaken the power now lurking within him. If he does not.. he will succumb to the power of the Genma and lose himself entirely. Upon accepting this challenge, he met a young Hyuuga, Aina with whom he shared his heard. During their courtship, he met her family, they went on many missions together and she witnessed, firsthand, the difficulties that having Aturasu inside him presented. Mino attempted seeking the guidance of Kawa and the Mamoriuku to help him control Aturasu, and played a part, saving a friend or two in the Invasion of Konoha. It was shortly after the invasion that Mino's life changed irreparably.

Coming home one evening, Minoru found his home broken into. investigating only brought misery, as he found his mother brutally assaulted. It was then the boy lost control. He does not know the extent of the rampage, he is only aware that he awoke in captivity, where a review and trial was held. The experience was grueling, especially since his body, mind and chakra points were torn asunder. Since the village council ruled he was to live (partially because it was determined that he was not in his right mind when Atrasu took control, and partially because no one had ever lived through an extraction and they couldn't pass up a chance to study someone who had been a host and was no more) Minoru has been an image of Kau, his father. Drunk, ashamed and worthless. There is only one that that could possibly pull him out of this endless chasm of despair: the desire to investigate his mother's murder.

After achieving unparalleled mastery of ninjutsu, Minoru is able to become one with Hiton . After undergoing the grueling process of sealing themselves into an object they were able to gather Hiton around themselves to recreate their bodies. This object must be inside or at least constantly within physical contact with their artificial body. This means that their bodies take on the properties of Hiton at almost all times. Any damage sustained by the body is able to be recovered by gathering more of the same element, and is incapable of bleeding. While this gives Minoru a form of almost invulnerability, if the object that holds their true self is damaged it spells out almost certain death.Anchor: Prismatic stone- This fist-sized stone is embedded in Minoru's chest, behind the boy's breastbone. As an anchor, it holds the vital piece of the boy's chakra, if it is destroyed this will spell the man's death instantly. Iijutsu is known for it's advanced nature and requires precise chakra control to work effectively. It can be differentiate from normal techniques by the faint light green color of the chakra used in Iijutsu techniques.

Chakra Rope
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A supplementary technique used to create a rope of chakra, this technique begins with a short set of handseals. Once these have been completed, the user will hold their arms apart and form the rope between them. The rope can be variable lengths to a max of 3 meters in length. It is highly resistant to cutting by any normal object and can resist weak strength techniques quite well(up to 5 str). The rope, while resilient, does not provide any defense and finds its use in tying up people or animals, as rope usually does. The rope lasts for a time equal to the user's stamina stat divided by 3 (to a maximum of 7).

After performing the correct hand seals the user will focus chakra into their mouths and into up to five senbon within 3 feet of their position. The senbon will be summoned from their persons or nearby into the user's mouth, where they will be spit out aided by chakra at a speed of 6 and strength of 4. The senbon can be shot up to 7 meters away.

Boomerang Projectile
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Typically used on projectile weapons with a less than stellar range of use, the user of this technique is able to have his/her weapons act like a boomerang through use of chakra. After completing a short set of handseals, the user will imbue their weapon with chakra before throwing it. The weapon will move at a speed dependent on the user's strength, and once it reaches its peak distance, the chakra will slowly disperse, bringing it back around toward the user at two less speed than it was thrown. If the user does not catch the weapon, it will travel for 15 yards past its starting point before stopping. Weapons included in this technique can be no larger than kunai.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will coat one of their hairs in chakra. Once this has been done, they will place it on their target. The user can track the exact location of the strand of hair for up to 7 meters. For up to twenty meters out, the user can track a rough location. From then out to 100 meters, the user just gets a general idea of where the opponent is. The chakra in the hair will dissipate at the end of 6 posts.

Light Release • Small Sun Technique
E-Ranked Ninjutsu: After making a single hand seal, the user of this ability is able to essentially 'solidify' a ball of light in their hands, which takes the color of their personal light. It is roughly the size of a fist or a soft ball and radiates softly, providing roughly the same amount of light as a small desk lamp, but unidirectional. It follows the user's palm and essentially sticks an inch off it. If the user closes their palm, it disappears. It produces no heat and lasts for 3 posts.

A passive technique, the user has learned to weaken the intensity of light from their jutsu that comes towards them. This means that users are effected less by the blinding and by the burning quality of their techniques.

Performing hand seals and then holding out their hand, the user produces a softball sized ball of light that is the same color as their personal light in the palm of their hand. This ball gives off a constant glow like that of four candles; however, this technique is actually solid and produces heat. It can be thrown or used in melee combat. When it hits something, it acts like a gas in a sense and spreads out over the impacted area, causing first degree burns and small impact damage, then fading away. Otherwise it lasts 3 posts.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user concentrates hiton chakra into the form of a clone. This clone looks identical to the user in every way. The clone can go up to a one hundred feet away from the user. These clones are incapable of performing ninjutsu or genjutsu. Once destroyed by a weak attack, the clone dispels into shimmering, faint light.

~Light Release • Becoming Flashy Technique
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After grabbing a weapon or small object and flowing Hiton chakra into it, the user causes the object to glow with their personal chakra color and essentially turns the weapon or object into a flash tag. This infusion lasts for 2 posts. The 'infusion' does not make the object more durable in any way. During those 2 posts, the user can also release the Hiton chakra stored inside once and cause it to let out a large burst of light over a 5ft radius that causes first degree burns on contact.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing a small series of hand seals, the user creates solid hiton around one or both hands and makes, essentially, a small square of solid light around the hand. The square of light is only a few inches wider and longer than the user's hand is, up to a max of one foot tall and eight inches wide. The wall forms at 3 speed and has 7 strength, causing 1st degree burns on contact. The wall lasts for 4 posts, or until destroyed.

Prerequisite: ~Light Release • Shining Blade Technique
After concentrating and channeling chakra into their Shining Blade, the user of this jutsu causes the blade of light to suddenly release a burst of light. This flash of light causes temporary (one post) blindness to those that are within 5 meters and witness the flash.

Light Release • Misplacement of Weapons
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing a series of hand seals, Minoru will bend light around a weapon that he will throw to make it appear further back, further forward, or more to the left or right than where it actually is. This will make the bent light will make the weapon appear up to one foot away from where it actually is. This will bend light around the weapon for 3 posts. This technique can be seen through if the opponents instinct is equal to or higher than Mino's control.

Performing a series of hand seals, Minoru will bend light next to a projectile attack to make it appear as though there are two of the same attack. This is meant to confuse enemies about the trajectory of the attack, making it harder to accurately dodge. This technique can be seen through if the opponents instinct is equal to or higher than Mino's control. Mino can only do this once in a post.

After Minoru has completed the needed hand seals, he will bend light around his arms. This will make his melee strikes appear up to 6 inches off from where they are being actually aimed. The bent light will last for a total of 3 posts. This technique can be seen through if the opponents instinct is equal to or higher than Mino's control.

Light Release • Misplacement of Objects
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Minoru will finished the necessary hand seals before bending light around an object within 10 meters of his person. He can make this object appear misplaced from it's actually location up to 3 feet from where it actually is. The object itself does not need to be stationary and this bent light will last for 3 posts. This technique can be seen through if the opponents instinct is equal to or higher than Mino's control.

Light Release • Blurring of Self
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After Minoru has performed a string of hand seals, he will bend light around his person. This will give him the appearance of standing completely still. The bent light will extend for four feet around him, allowing him move slightly and still be shielded from view (unless seen through by a instinct score higher than his control) This bent light will last for a total of 3 posts. Minoru may use this to dodge attacks without giving away which way he moved, or to hide the drawing of weapons or the forming of hand seals.

Light Release • Flashing Hawks Technique
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing hand seals, the user creates 2 small hawks made of their personal light anywhere within a 1 meter radius of their body. These hawks are large, roughly the size of an adult hawk and when created, fly at any designated target within 10 meters of the user. If the target moves out of the range, the hawks will hover until the target is again within range. When they hit the target they implode on themselves with the force of one exploding tag. In addition, they also produces a blinding flash of light equal to one flash tag. If the hawks do not reach a target, they otherwise last five posts before fading in a burst of shimmering light. The hawks each have the following stats:

~Light Release • Light Ray Jutsu
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing the hand seals for the technique, the user then puts both hands out forward and from both palms a basketball sized beam of light colored the same as the user's personal light shoots forward. The ball moves in a straight line to a maximum distance of 30 feet at a speed of 10. The light is semi-solid, hitting hard with 10 strength but as it hits it breaks up like gas against the object when it hits, spreading out over the person and leaving first degree burns over the area.

After forming the hand seals and focusing chakra into one hand, an Awai is capable of solidifying and shaping their personal chakra into a rudimentary blade shape at 10 speed. The sword has 10 strength and can range from one foot long to two foot long, or wakizashi length, to katana length. It also has charring heat stored inside the light which can cause scalding or searing, but and provides first degree burns. The blade lasts for 3 posts or until destroyed.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing the hand seals, the user then puts one hand up and is able to create a brightly shining disc of condensed light that is the same color as their personal light. The disk is extremely thin, maybe half a centimeter, and one foot in diameter, glowing with half the intensity of a flash tag, making it hard to look directly at unless wearing some sort of eye protection. The user can throw the disc for (control x 2) meters and it hits, cutting into the object with 10 strength, causing first to second degree burns as it does so.

After performing a sequence of hand-seals, the user will force Hiton chakra into the ground. This will create one single surge of light in the shape of a simple line of whatever color the user's Hiton chakra is. This line will travel through the floor and change direction 3 times according to the user's wishes at a speed equal to the user's Control up to 10. If it is to come close to its target, it will shoot off from the ground in the shape of a spike that may extend for two meters. Striking up from the ground, this flash of light may serve to disorient the target(causing blurriness and a loss of focus) or to directly damage it, dealing first-degree burns to whatever superficial tissue it touches. Lastly, the user must hold a single-handed hand-seal to keep the technique up, and this surge may only travel up to five meters away before fading.

~Light Release • Empty Light Technique
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: At least +2 above average control
Focusing chakra into their body, the user performs hand seals and then manipulates the way light refracts around their bodies, allowing them to make themselves visually invisible. They still have a chakra signature, must breathe and still make noise, but they are completely invisible to the naked eye. The user must hold the last seal or the technique fades, so they may only walk while invisible. This lasts for 3 posts.

~Light Release • Blazing Vision Technique
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing the hand seals and then opening both eyes wide, the user of this technique essentially 'sucks in' some of the light in the immediate area into their eyes, temporarily darkening the area around them, and then releases it from both eyes charged with chakra. Two beams of light shoot from both eyes at a target up to 35 feet away at 25 speed, starting at the size of a pupil but expanding as they travel to by up to as large as a fist. Both beams are bright, and impact with 15 strength when they land, causing 2nd degree burns on contact.

B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Minoru will form a series of hand seals before bending light around himself. This will make him appear up to 5 meters from where he actually is. This displacement allows him to deceive enemies. This bent light will last for 5 posts before dissipating. This technique can be seen through if the opponents instinct is equal to or higher than Mino's control.

Light Release • Light Gauntlets
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Minoru will form a series of hand seals before coating his forearms and hands in solid Hiton. This Hiton will act like armor and emits Minoru's personal light with the strength of three candles capable of withstanding a decent amount of punishment(20 or more str in an attack to break them). These gauntlets will last a total of 6 posts before dissipating and while in use, he won't be able to perform jutsu that require hand seals.

Not unlike the *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] technique, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Mask] shines when the real deal is not on hand. After forming a single handseal, the user will focus chakra into the area around his/her mouth and nose to form a thin layer of chakra around them. This chakra will help to keep the user from breathing bacteria onto a patient during procedures. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra.

When real latex gloves are not on hand, the *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] technique comes in quite handy. After forming a single handseal, the user will focus chakra into his/her hands to form a thin layer of chakra around them. This chakra will help to protect other objects against the bacteria on the user's hands if sterilization is not an option before beginning a procedure. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra.

Prereq: Shining Blade Technique
Pushing chakra through his hand, Minoru’s blade explodes out in front of him in a cone shape(5 meters in diameter) equal a max of 7 meters the Hiton energy is gaseous and can cause 2nd degree burns through sustained contact. The Hiton energy moves at a speed equal to the user's control up to 10. This serves as a flash as well, potentially disorienting the foe, causing burry vision and a lack of focus. Once this technique is activated, the blade is out of commission and must be re-summoned the following post.

Kōsoku B Rank Ninjutsu
Prereq: Shining blade technique
After the necessary handseals, Minoru will place his hand by his waist and mimic a sword drawing motion. The Hiton chakra stored in his hand will expel itself forward with a strength of 20 at a speed of 20 and possess a cutting edge (steel strong). Any person who is looking at Minoru when this jutsu is activated will have be momentarily blinded and have their vision blurred for one post after following the activation. Any direct contact with the energy will result in second degree burns to the affected area immediately in addition to any cut sustained. After the initial flash, the Hiton energy will resolve itself into the Shining blade. The blade will have the same properties as the aforementioned technique.

Channeling into his gauntlet for a short duration before throwing a punch, Minoru can imbue the exterior of his gauntlets with a brighter glare that will give off the light of a torch as he's punching. This glow is meant to catch enemies off guard in order to make it harder for them to handle his attack. The glow will last for a total of 2 posts before dissipating. This light flashes enough to cause spotting in vision and mild disorientation.

Prerequisite: Light Release • Light Gauntlets
Channeling Hiton chakra into his gauntlet for 1/4th of a post, Minoru will give the chakra on his gauntlets a gaseous quality. Upon contact with the gauntlet, the burning quality of the Hiton element will leech on to the target, remaining for an entire post. (This can cause 1st degree burns over an effected area)

Minoru form a short string of hand seals before head butting at an opponent. As he goes to head butt them, a solid plate of Hiton will form across Minoru's forehead, glowing with the strength of a single candle. Upon contact, the hiton plate will explode outward away from Minoru will the light of a single Flash Tag.

After channeling into his gauntlets for a short duration, Minoru can imbue his gauntlets with a gaseous quality, expanding the range of the gauntlets by two meters, but decreasing the strength of the gauntlets by one half. In this form, Minoru is able to make hand-seals, but any damage he does or takes to his hands are not hindered by the gauntlets in the slightest.

After channeling Hiton chakra into his gauntlet for 1/2 a post, Minoru will force a blade of solid Hiton to grow from the back of the wrist, over the back of the hand, and out from his hand to create a one and a half foot long blade of light. This blade is as sharp as a normal blade, but has no other qualities to it. This blade will last for a total of 3 posts before it dissipates. *This is considered a Hiton Blade*

Kenjutsu: Kōsoku Hiton Blade Style
The Kōsoku style blade is long and thin, akin to a rapier. The entire style is built for speed and deception, those who train its forms must be ready to push their bodies to the limit in order to win. Acrobatics and agility predominate this style, transitioning into this form requires swift, precise movements, and a crouching base: keeping the center of gravity low to the ground. From the ground up this style explodes with rapid strikes and defensive postures, often switching between attack and defense without warning. Transitioning to this form can be done within a post if the blade has not taken a form already. If the user must manipulate the size or density of the blade, it will take one post to assume this form.

Minoru can move the light blade faster than a normal blade, due to the light itself not having weight. In this particular move, with a flick of the wrist the blade can spin around Minoru’s open palm to deflect or switch stances quickly.

After successfully blocking an attack, Minoru can spin the Hiton blade near instantly, cutting at the hands of the opponent, or attacking the weapon itself. This attack is possible only after redirecting the weight of the strike. Due to the speed of this attack it is of limited strength, used normally to burn the hands or damage the weapon used against him.

While summoning the blade, Minoru performs an extra set of hand seals. The blade has one flash tag worth of energy stored within it. A kai will detonate this, making the blade appear as if it has remained in one position to any who are looking at the blade when the flash is detonated. This technique is used for deception, making strikes and blocks appear faster than they really are.

Speed higher than 10
With the blade summoned, the user settles into the draw-out position (hand across the body at waist level, body positioned evenly, dominant foot backward) and performs three quick slashes either upward or diagonally downward, with maximum force. These strikes can also be done in the air, using downward motion as added momentum. The strikes are meant to be blindingly fast, maximizing the users speed to create blurred movements. If the opponent's instinct is 5 or more less than Minoru's speed, the strikes will blur together, making it appear as though Minoru has struck in three places with one slash.

Whip to Counter 1

Prereq: Blade Whip, Prereq: Shining blade technique
After using blade whip successfully to divert an attack, the swordsman slightly moves forward, aiming a light thrust at the hand or arm of the opponent, focusing on using the contact of the blade for burning the hand rather than a piercing blow with any force to disable. Opponents with low taijutsu (below 10) may be disarmed entirely.

Blade Dance: Grace

Prereq: Taijutsu 10 Instinct 15
Light on the feet, this technique is meant to deal with multiple attackers at once. The sword wielder focuses all energy on defense, making himself available to address attacks from multiple sides at once. Utilizing low, constantly moving dance, the wielder has an increased chance to block or evade strikes from any attacker who has a lesser taijutsu score than he. (May defend a number of attackers equal to 1/3 of the wielder's taijutsu score).

Standing in a relaxed posture, the wielder of the blade lashes out with a series of small and quick slashes designed to penetrated defenses with wave on wave of attacks. The base number of attacks is four. For every 5 speed over 20 Minoru has, he may add another attack.

The Art of Rolling
Prereq: Acrobatics
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A fundamental skill for Minoru's more deadly and unpredictable maneuvers, through rigorous practice a user can perfect the skill of rolling, serving a variety of purposes. This particular style of rolling focusses on fast paced combat, used offensively or defensively the user can seamlessly drop low into a roll, forwards, backwards or sideways from a standing or running start or even in response to being forcefully shoved backwards. Naturally due to the high amounts of force the user must be adept at dispersing the impact of the roll, this is done by dropping into a squat, then distributing the impact momentarily at the knee then across each shoulder in quick succession.

Rolling strike

Initiating a roll, to close distance or create distance from an opponent, the swordsman comes directly out of the roll in a forward thrust in attempts to disorient the opponent.


Skillful Wield
Prereq: Bladed Weapons
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 5 instinct
With a solid foundation of knowledge on their choice of weaponry, those with the Skillful Wield technique are able to utilize their weapon more fully. By knowing the weapon's weakest points, the user is able to avoid presenting these areas to damage during combat, thus making their weapon less likely to break by means of recklessness.

Seamless Skill
Prereq: Bladed Weapons

Prerequisite: 5 Instinct
A skill utilized by those on the path to mastery of their weapon, users of Seamless Skill are actively able to transition between offensive and defensive usage of the aforementioned weapon. By transitioning so seamlessly, the user is able to save a marginal amount of energy while attacking.

Redirect
Prereq: Rigid Stance
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A basic skill for the Krav maga style, Redirect is used mostly against stabbing attacks or straight on punches, though it can be employed against other types of attacks if need be, albeit with less expected success depending on the situation. When an attack comes close to the user, he will bring his arm across his body, aiming to connect his palm with the side of the attack, usually a wrist or the shaft of a spear or something of the like. If the user's strength is higher than the opponent's strength, the attack can be parried to the side, often opening the opponent up to attack.

Throw
Prereq: Rigid Stance
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This simple technique requires control of one of the opponents arms, then by placing himself in front of the opponent the user uses the leverage gained by the trapped arm to lift the opponent onto his back and flip them over his shoulder, causing them to slam into the ground. If the user's strength is higher than the targets, the throw is successful. This throw requires a grabbed limb, and can be used from the clench technique.

Grin and bear it
Prereq: Rigid Stance

Req: Strength 8 or above
Choosing to take a direct hit from an attack, the user chooses to test his body against the damage to occur. Preparing for the strike allows the ninja to lessen the damage taken via transferring momentum from the strike to a neutral area. (Taking a step back when being straight punched or kicked, turning a joint to absorb some of the damage thrown at it etc) This technique works against blunt attacks and projectile attacks that do not cut. This is about taking the blunt force from behind a hit and redirecting it throughout the body when the user is unable to block with a weapon or dodge it. This can also be used offensively, as a means to "power through" a blunt projectile or taijutsu technique to close distance on an opponent. If the strength of the user is equal to or surpasses the force of the technique, the user may greatly reduce the damage output of the attack for one post.

Clench
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Redirect, Rigid Stance
As the user foresees an incoming strike from their opponent, rather than redirecting the strike defensively, they may step in beforehand to clutch whatever limb is available catching it in a wrench lock. From this position, the user may proceed unto more directly damaging moves, such as strikes or submissions, as the opponent is left in a vulnerable state. If the opponent has a speed higher to or equal to the user, they may dodge the attack by changing their own, and if the opponent has a higher strength or taijutsu stat than the user, they may break free.
