Squinty brown eyes and brown hair tied into a low-hanging ponytail contrast the roundness of a child's facial structure. Of average weight and height, his stature is unassuming, doubly so with a typical slouch.
Clothing/Accessories: For day-to-day activity and missions, Yoriyuke dresses in a loose tan sleeved shirt with the Nara clan symbol with black shorts. Two small pouches are added to the side of the shorts below the pockets for additional storage space. Brown sandals complete the outfit.
Personality:
- General: Yoriyuke has a generally relaxed and internally focused personality. He enjoys time spent alone, especially surrounded by natural sounds, smells, and sights. He prefers to spend most of his time focused on his own goals, and does not pay attention to others when socially possible, with exception for those close to him. His hobby is to watch parts of nature; for him, the most enjoyable part of nature to watch is human interaction. "People-watching", if you wish to name it.
- Hopes/Dreams: Yoriyuke (mostly subconsciously) wishes to eventually become strong enough to empathize properly with his peers. He believes the path to this is through strength, as battles can bring the strongest emotions and the closest bonds.
- Fears: Yoriyuke is afraid of himself; he is convinced that he will drift away from those close to him, and never make new bonds. Simultaneously, he avoids actively engaging in social situations, making his fear partially self-fulfilling.
- Combat Mentality: Although Yoriyuke has not yet experienced any deadly combat, his mentality in such a situation would firstly be of panic, but following that, of avoidance. Yoriyuke would rather tactically retreat and avoid most enemies than confront them directly.

Less of an element and more like a specialty, the members of the Nara Clan are able to manipulate both their own shadows and shadows in the surrounding area. This chakra allows them to use various techniques that allow them to create effective traps to use against an opponent as long as there is enough light in the area to create the shadows needed to do so. If there is absolutely no light present in the area of the Nara member, they are unable to use their shadow techniques. Requires an above average Instinct and Control for the character's rank. The range at a clan member can manipulate shadows is dependent on their control stat:

After forming the needed hand seals and flooding a shadow with chakra the user will cause a shadow on their body to move toward their hand with a speed of 5, forming into a solid kunai when it reaches their hand. The kunai is just like any other kunai in terms of durability and sharpness, but cannot be thrown, and lasts for up to 3 posts.

The initial shadow moves with a speed of 8 and the hold can be broken with a strength of 12. Lasts for 6 posts. Other Ninjutsu cannot be used during the duration of this technique.

Nara Yoriyuke was born into the Nara Clan of Konohagakure no Sato to two unexceptional shinobi, Nara Saki and Nara Hiroshi. From a young age, Yoriyuke showed a promising talent for the clans Shadow Techniques. By the time he was 6, his parents were certain he was ready to enter the Academy, and with the Academy able to provide supervision and instruction, his parents resumed living as fully available shinobi. As such, during his time in the Academy, Yoriyuke became used to being alone upon return from the Academy. Often, he would spend the day working in the various training fields available to Academy students, working to shape his shadow to his will.
However, despite his desire to become better with his clan techniques, most of the Academy could not provide him the same motivation. It only took a year before his parents began to question him going to the Academy as soon as he did. Yoriyuke was smart, without a doubt, but it seemed some of the traditional Nara behaviors had already shown themselves. With some helpful 'motivation' from his parents, Yoriyuke quickly recovered from his stumbling and soon was one of the more talented students in the Academy. He stayed far away from the top, thanks to his lackluster Taijutsu skills, but excelled in Ninjutsu theory.
After four years of history, theory, and independent practice, Yoriyuke's fifth year at the Academy started practical Ninjutsu education. Here, Yoriyuke began to excel exponentially. He picked up all of the basic jutsu quickly, already practiced at molding his chakra. His parents began to teach him clan jutsu to augment his abilities. By the time his sixth (and hopefully final) year at the Academy started, he was confident he could beat any other Academy student in Ninjutsu ability, speed, and variety, if he ever felt the need to challenge them. He passed the graduation exam at the end of that year with excellent scores in Ninjutsu and knowledge, acceptable Genjutsu ability, and a lacking Taijutsu score.
Now officially a Genin of Konohagakure no Sato, Yoriyuke was ready. He felt ready to finally test his abilities, and explore the rest of the world.
