Aburame Hito

[Bug Beast Master]

[Sometimes one strengths may lay far past one's own physical traits.]

General Information Age: 60
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 150 lbs
Physical Features:
  • Face/head: The old man has a well tanned face, thinning grey hair atop his head with a lengthy long grey bead and mustache that stretched down from his chin about eight inches in length. Wrinkles have already started to accumulate around the corners of the man's eyes and mouth. Due to age even his bushy eyebrows have turned from their former jet black color to grey as they hover above a pair of crystal blue eyes. The man's nose come to a sharp tip with a thin set of lips underneath the point, though the portion of the upper lip is covered by the man's facial hair.
  • Body: The man's body has taken on a slightly more fragile appearance, being rather skinny with a below average body type, but one not to uncommon for a man. With wrinkles visible on his skinny fingers of his hands the man proportions are normal with nothing really sticking out about the slender fellow.
  • Notable Features:Large grey beard, crystal blue eyes
Clothing/Accessories:
  • Having retired from the every day duties of being a shinobi, the man can often be found wearing his dark grey robe tied in the front with a crimson red sash, dark cloth pants that flow down into almost knee high boots. Normally a head cap that is either black or dark grey can be found atop the man's head to help hide his thinning hair. A simple gold band can be found on his left ring finger and a silver pocket watch is always somewhere on his person, a retirement give that he highly treasures.
Picture: Personality:
  • General: Hito found to be excellent at both following orders and providing them, though his leadership experiences have even caused some superiors to defer to him for insight. Having the ability to remain calm under pressure and thrives in battle, his strategic mind constantly preparing him for various scenarios in which to employ his swarm and companions. Allowing for him to be readily adapt leading to him surviving countless dangerous situations. Though it can be said that in the respect of sacrifice, it is simply something a shinobi should be able to do in order to complete the mission, be it to sacrifice a comrade or himself for the sake of the mission. Leaving the safety of himself and his teammates lives to be a secondary consideration, after all a shinobi is a tool to be used by the village, a mission with casualties is inevitable and there are such things as acceptable losses to ensure mission success and the protection of the village's future.

Like many Aburame, the man can be found to be very reserved with there being a very limited number of discussion topics that he has strong enough feelings towards that he can be found to willingly engage in conversation about with others outside of missions. Generally classified as a reclusive individual and with not so much it being that he dislikes people and instead that he is very untrusting of even others with whom he is acquainted with due to events in the past when he had friends that turned their backs on the village. Causing for the older shinobi to be simply wary of those he is encountering for the first time and even past that, not one to truly develop deep relationships with very many others aside from a very select few that could be counted on a single hand. As such, one can often find him simply stand backing from the crowd or group and observing everyone and everything when introduced into an unfamiliar environment, attempting to establish a baseline of everything going on around him.

It would former be an extremely rare sight to see the once career focused shinobi doing things that didn't in some way pertain to his job or mission, yet after retirement the man is still trying to figure out just what he should be doing with his life. This has often led the man to continue cultivating and growing his bug beasts and bug beast swarms within the forest area outside the village under control of the Aburame clan. Ponder on if his old self can still be of use to the village or his clan as he is now. Perhaps their is still some fight still contained within the reserved, retired shinobi just looking for an exit. But the 'Will of Fire' is as firmly branded into the old man's heart as it was when he first earned the Konoha forehead protector as a fresh genin. A fire burning within, one that refuses to be extinguished.
  • Hopes/Dreams: To continue to watch his House and village prosper.
  • Fears: Growing to old and weak to be of use.
  • Combat Mentality: Hito relies almost solely upon the bug beasts and insect swarms that he's grown over the years to do battle for him being able to influce a large portion of the battlefield by himself in this manner, using his experience to expertly command different formations to deal with the objective at hand.

Insect Sight
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After the appropriate hand seals, the Aburame shuts one eye, transferring it's sight to one of their insects. The view from this insects allows for the discerning size, shape, distance, and minor details, lacking the ability to examine intricate details, such as text in a book. The insects can travel up to a mile away before the link between the Aburame is broken and the technique lasts as long as the Aburame keeps their eye closed for a maximum of six posts.

Remote Detonators
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After the appropriate hand seals, the Aburame forms a baseball sized ball of insects, which they can than toss at an opponent, the ball sticking to them at a strength of 5. Anytime within the next three posts, kai can be used to cause the bugs to spread out at a force equal to 1 exploding tag. This explosion does not kill the insects as the main danger comes from the force of the insects mandibles. This jutsu can help the user spread out the insects and attach them to a target quickly as well.

Pheromone Tracker
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The Aburame will command a female bug to attach itself to a designated target and hide itself using its small form and silent movement. After attaching itself, the insect will then release an abnormal amount of pheromones. The male mushi of that breed can then trace the pheromone trail, allowing the Aburame to effectively track the marked target. The males can only track the female within a three mile radius, and after five posts, the female mushi does not have the chakra to produce excess pheromones and tracking is reduced to 1/2 mile.

Change of Body Stance - Insects
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After completing the necessary hand seals, the Aburame is able to quickly substitute his/her body with a portion of their nearby swarm that is at least 2/3rds his/her size, but no bigger than their body. This substitution allows the insects to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. The portion of the swarm used with this technique must be within a 20 meters radius of the user. This technique may only be used a total of one time in a single thread, give or take how many times Shunshin no Jutsu has already been used.

~Mushi Clone
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After the appropriate hand seals, the Aburame member's mushi are gathered into one place and pattern themselves after the user or anyone else they choose. The technique is elaborate enough to be mistaken for the original, and therefore may be used as a decoy or as part of a diversionary tactic. When the clones stamina stat is used up/it is destroyed, it falls apart into the mushi it is made of. Each clone cannot use jutsu and has the following stats:27
Taijutsu: 5
Stamina: 5
Strength: 7
Speed: 10

Breeder
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling their chakra into their swarm and holding the final seal, the Aburame raises the pheromones of one of their swarms to unnatural levels, causing them to rapidly breed, followed by the insects laying eggs by the end of the post. If the Aburame continues to channel chakra into their swarm for another post, the eggs will rapidly hatch and grow into adult insects, replenishing up to twenty synch worth of insects to the ranks of the swarm.

Insect Spiritualism Technique
C-Rank Ninjutsu
A modified version of the summoning technique crafted by the Aburame clan, this allows for the user to bring forth their insect pets or insect swarms, using this technique to be able to call upon them at anytime. This was created for the convenience of being able to utilize large insect pets breed for battle that normally couldn't or wouldn't stay by their master's side at all time or for those with more than one swarm.

Personal TaijutsuShow
Shadow Lurker:
A style of fighting developed by the Aburame throughout his time as a shinobi and while acting as the squad leader for a reconnaissance group during his time as a jounin, learning to stalk and track targets, locating certain location, and leaving as little trace of his presence as possible.

Requires: [Stealth] and [Perception] Concentrations
[Lurking in the Shadows]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
This pseudo-camouflage technique doesn’t grant any form of true invisibility, simply it dictates user's ability to approach and stalk targets unseen. Much like the animals of the forest the user can seem to disappear simply by stepping into the foliage, knowing exactly how to navigate any natural or artificial cover that may present itself without exposing himself to visual identification save for the most perceptive of targets.

[Stone Face]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 10 Instinct
During his time as a young chuunin who had just joined the ANBU, the man developed himself to control even his subconscious movements under the peering eye of others in order to eliminate any 'tells' that would allow for one to determine that he was lying. This can be seen through by others with an instinct equal to or higher than his own.

[Under Pressure]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 10 Instinct
Through a number of intense and life threating encounters the user has developed the ability to continue to think level headedly, even while being tortured up to the extent that he can handle, always searching for the best manner to either attack or escape within the situation at hand.

[Follow My Lead]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 10 Instinct
An trait that the user developed that allows for him to project himself using just his voice, words, and body language to be someone that a stranger can put their trust within. This can be seen through by others with an instinct equal to or higher than his own.

[Sighting]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 10 Instinct
After many hours of training and actual real life combat scenarios, the user is much better able to estimate distances and track moving targets in hectic situations. Such assessments become completely instinctive, allowing the user to change targets seamlessly without losing time between attacks.

[Following the Path]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 15 Instinct
Having spent great effort in the art of learning how to track animals and man alike in a variety of environments. The user can easily pick up on most trails, observing and analyzing footprints, scuff marks, broken branches and the like. Unless heavily marred by environmental factors, the user can follow the physical sign of a trail even if it is several days or weeks old. In some rare instances where tracks have been preserved remarkably well this timeline can even extend to months.

[Flowing Movement]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 15 Taijutsu and 15 Instinct
Utilizing the tactics of free-running, the user is able to utilize their speed to the utmost efficiency. They can run at full speed, seeming to flow over, around, and through practically any obstacles without losing any speed or momentum. This type of movement is incredibly useful, not only when pursuing a target, but also when fleeing. Most commonly this technique is used in natural or forested areas, giving them a distinct advantage over other shinobi, though they can adapt this technique to suit other terrain such as urban environments as well.

[Like a Dog]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
The user's sharp senses allow them to pick up on slight sounds within a [Instinct] meter radius of themselves. This can range from the sound of a weapon being drawn, a projectile in flight or subtle footsteps and sounds of moderately heavy breathing. In terms of eavesdropping they can discern a conversation at such a range as if the user were standing next to the person whom is speaking.

[Observing For Patterns]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 15 Instinct
During combat with a target, the user carefully observes their movements looking for aspects that are repeated in their style, attempting to determine attack or defense patterns of the target in order to develop counter measures for the opponent.

[Closer Look]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 15 Instinct
The user has grown accustomed to taking into account the small details about a person, be it out of combat in which the user is able to glance over the shinobi's attire and exposed weapons to determine their possible styles of fighting. Or in combat were the user's takes note of small movements made by the body, the small utterances of eye movement, and the ambient sounds of the body. This allows for the user to accomplish other techniques based on the analysis made with this technique.

Swarm ControlShow
Swarm Control:
A style swarm training developed by the Aburame for use with his swarms and bug beasts through utilization of mental and verbal commands to illicit predetermined actions such as forming a specific formation and other practiced actions. History
Historical AccountsShow

Around six decades ago, a new son was born to a pair of shinobi who hailed from the Aburame house, the name given to him by his mother and father was simply Hito. Though it was not such a peaceful time in the history of the shinobi world then as shortly after the shinobi world became embroiled in a war that would reap the lives of many. Many clan’s and houses would see their members off to war in order to protect the village and its interest that would never return back within the walls of Konoha. Sadly, the young child’s parents were no exception to this major war in which both lost their lives in order to protect the ‘Will of Fire’, that had been instilled within them as Leaf shinobi.

The young child was taken in by one of the Aburame house elders who had some relation with Hito’s parent, raising him as a grandfather, even though there wasn’t any immediate family relation between them. Despite this the man treated Hito’s with firmness and fairness, even sometime spoiling the child. Before reaching the age to enroll in the shinobi academy the child would spend the majority of his time with this old man who taught him about the art of raising insects. But what most interested the young Aburame was not the normal breeds of mushi that were raised within the insect burrows concealed within the forest around the village but the unique and mutated breeds that the old man by the name of Hirito, the man raising him, had at his disposal.

It would only be a few short years later that he would reach the age of ten and be allowed to finally enter into the shinobi academy, a spirit of competition and teamwork built into the young shinobi in training due to the structure of the academy and its studies. During next three years the young child would learn about the three main subjects in the course curriculum: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu. But there was much more to learn in the terms of being a shinobi such as the ever important survival class, along with in depth classes on the history of the village and knowledge of the other villages. This included the most recent ninja war that had encompassed nearly all five villages in its calamity that cost the lives of which were to numerous to count. The subject was one that stuck with the boy having lost his parents and other family members in the most recent conflict.

At the age of thirteen the growing shinobi in training was finally able to pass all four final tests which were required of him to graduate from the academy, a bit behind those who had actually entered the academy at the same time as him. Though this was partial because of the indoctrination of the man and his insect swarm, the Kikaichū insect. Even as a young genin, the Aburame clansman had already been able to rationalize his current situation and that the majority of his efforts would be placed in the training and strengthening of his swarm instead of his own personal abilities in the various types of jutsu and even physical attributes. Feeling that all of these things could be overcome through the strength of the Aburame’s insect swarms and bug pets which he’d experienced first hand from his ‘grandfather’ while growing up. The one thing that would stick with him the most from the academy, something that would follow him even to the present day, were the words he spoke when he swore loyalty to the Leaf village, the ‘Will of Fire!’

As a newly promoted genin, one who’d struggled a bit in passing the final exams, he felt a bit behind those on the three man team which he was assigned in terms of physical prowess of ninjutsu abilities. It would take a bit of time to understand that every shinobi had their own path as a shinobi, his being able to bring out the strength of his insects and also to search for stronger insects to use along the way. This lead to the physically weaker shinobi to be able to understand the art of tactics and formations which could then be employed through his insects and teammates, almost like a minor general on the battlefield who was attempting to out maneuver the enemy forces. The trio were kept either within the village or within the country of Fire for the missions that were assigned to them. This stemmed from the fact that not long ago the shinobi war had only just ended and even after the ceasefire had occurred there were still many skirmishes occurring and rogue shinobi extending their reach into the territory of the shinobi villages.

It left a very tense world that feared the wrong step could send the villages straight back into the war which they had only just escaped from, each of them weakened a bit from the loss of mid and high ranking forces from their ranks. Until the man was able to pass the chuunin exam at the age of sixteen did Hito truly get to engage on missions which could be deemed to have some higher level of danger. But the world was still truly more dangerous than it is in the present day, even on missions which had only a slight risk of encountering danger would often find themselves ambushed or enter skirmishes with either foreign shinobi patrols or rogue ninja. This forced the young man to learn and adapt quickly in order to not only protect himself but those around him as Hito learned methods and tactics to employ his insects that increased the safety and survivability of those around him.

Despite his best efforts, shinobi still died, death was truly part of the shinobi lifestyle but he couldn’t only count himself lucky to not have taken part in the war which claimed his parents. Yet, the aftermath lasted for nearly a decade afterwards before things began to resolve into true peaces as each village started to recover their lost strength. Though it would take some time for the young man to truly establish himself as a well known shinobi and demonstrate his abilities to lead and coordinate forces. This would result in his promotion to the rank of jounin at the age of twenty one, a bit slower than his peers as his strength weren’t so much his physical prowess or powerful ninjutsu or genjutsu techniques. His primary strength came from the three separate swarms that he’d slowly grown from single mother insects which when utilized could affect an entire battlefield.

Even though he’d encountered dangerous situations before this, after stepping up into the rank of a Jounin did his mission sets truly take a quantifiable leap in importance and difficulty. As a Jounin the young man worked as a squad leader for a group of a ninja that mainly were tasked with carrying out mainly reconnaissance missions for the village as the team consisted of a Aburame, a Hyuuga, a Inuzuka, a medic ninja, and a strong genjutsu user. The shinobi group would slowly grow closer as they carried out missions with one another for almost five years together, some even considered the others family. But the life of an elite squad was undoubtedly a dangerous one as on one mission when Hito was twenty five they were ambushed by another recon squad as their Inuzuka member was killed and the Hyuuga and himself were severely injured.

Through the coordination of the genjutsu user and sacrificing one of his three swarms to combat the ambush the group was able to withdraw, making sure not to leave the body of their fallen comrade behind. The clash push Hito in the hospital for around a month in recover as he had to deal with the first major failure on his part as a leader, one that cost one of his ‘brothers’ life. Though it was his fellow jounin teammate, Hyuuga Asano who would help the Aburame to understand that no amount of preparation will solve every problem. Sometimes things can’t be helped and it is up to them as human’s to accept that fact and move on, learning from our hardships in order to be stronger in the future. This individual would go on to become the Juusandamine Hokage a few years later. And at the age of thirty he was asked by Asano to help out as a member of the council, being one of his close friends, wanting his tactical mindset to help buffer other less experienced shinobi who were also on the council at the time.

His former teammate’s reign as Hokage would end around half a decade later as a wise and strong Yamanaka by the name of Hashiba would assume the heavy mantle of Kage, allowing for the two men to once more return back to the regular service of shinobi. Something that Hito truly welcomed as the change allowed for him to return to using his leadership skills to full effect on the ground rather than from the back. Time would flow on as the missions came, new shinobi replaced old shinobi, a peaceful era seemed to be descending upon them as the Leaf village and the Suna village were even in the process of becoming allies with each other. Something that the man had helped to set into motion during his time with Asano as the Hokage but something of this level took time but he was glad to see it coming to a head.

While the pair were more or less polar opposites as the former views Konoha as inferior in some aspects and in return the Leaf village often viewed the Sand as a more brutish and uptight society. Many amongst Konoha even distrust the intentions of Suna, but the village truly needed an ally in this cold war era of the shinobi war and Suna was the village closest to the Hidden Leaf that had the most similarities. With the accomplishments of his past up to this point at the age of forty two, the man began to withdraw himself from the major affairs of the village and delve more so into the matters of his own house. Many things needed to be managed and other issues needed to be taken care of and over the course of the next eight years he would help run the Aburame house and manage the insect fields.

Time passed and the village seemed to prosper as the title of Hokage even changed three times, the last time being at the age of fifty five as a muscular young man by the name of Natsuki Takeo would take control of the Leaf village. He was rather ambitious, something that Hito couldn’t help to admire as he had officially retired from the ranks of shinobi on this year. He watched as the man truly stabilized the somewhat shaky relationship between the village’s only ally, increased trade with the countries of River and Tea, even expanded the village’s reach taking control of the neighboring country of Whirlpool. But something that he had never believed to be possible was that Takeo had actually reached out to the chaotic and remote hidden village of Kumo in the last year, establishing some relationship with the new Raikage who himself was quite a legendary figure.

Being able to accomplish all this in only about five years worth of time was a miraculous feat in the eyes of the old man as this year Hito would turn sixty years of age and currently acted as the second in command of the Aburame house. Spending most of his time tutoring the younger Aburame shinobi and raising his bug beast and insect swarms, always thinking about the future and the protection of his House and the village despite his age...

Owner: Hito Bug Beast #1 - Dragon Centipede

Description: The insects are a special breed of insects created over the course of many years by the hard work of Hito, a unique type of centipede that ranges between six to eight inches in length and about half and inch in wide. Two one inch long pincers can be found at the mouth of the insect for tearing at prey while a second pair can be found at the tail end of the centipede. Along either side of the long insect are fifty scythe like legs that are each an inch in length allowing for it to constrict and pierce prey that it catches. The insect has two purple eyes just above its mouth with a pair of two inch long flexible antenna like whiskers from off its snout like the mythical dragons from where it draws its name. Its body is created of a segmented carapace that is leaf green on top and a dark purple on the underside.

Personality: The swarm, due to the training received from their host, is broken down in to military style structure with a 'queen/king' insect being the overall leader with the remaining swarm broken down into squads each consisting of three teams, each team consisting of five synch worth of insects each totaling fifteen synch worth of the swarm per squad. The leader of each team is slightly larger than the other insects in its team and the squad leader is again slightly larger than the team leaders. The remaining five synch worth are a type of personal security detail which protect the host. They receive orders from their host/master to the squad leader bugs who carry out the tasks assigned to them. Once synced with their host they will serve as obedient soldiers that are mentally linked to their host, able to communicate telepathically with one another in order to coordinate movements and information.

Synch: Synch #1

Skills
Chakra Metamorphous:
A unique ability that has been bread into the bug beast under the command of Aburame Hito, which allows for insects which have this ability to come together and through activating their chakra at the order of the host enter into a rapid metamorphosis stage as a shell of chakra covers the insects before erupting. From this chakra shell the number of smaller insects can merge into a large single insect that is capable of fitting within the synch size area of the amount of the swarm used in the Metamorphous.

This metamorphosis can last until the end of the thread and can be conducted with other insects which also possess this unique ability, allow for them to fuse with one another to temporarily create a brand new insect. When combining with another another insect swarm with the same ability, the resulting creation will have a synch stat with an average between the two swarms. This is also the same case for the size of the combining process of swarms being the average of their synch stats. This can be used to combine insects to create a single large centipede to a maximum size of ten synch in size or many smaller ones starting at one synch worth..
