Physical Features:
Even in the world of shinobi, Kotaro stands out as an odd bird. Suffering from albinism since birth, his hair flows down his head in drooping white locks. His eyes, despite perfectly functional, exhibit a strange pinkish hue from the lack of melanin in his body. Furthermore his skin is an almost sickly pale, which is why he tends to cover it up. Aside from this he looks like the average young Genin, decently athletic and not quite rid of his baby fat.

Clothing/Accessories:
His most recognizable outfit consists of a white tunic, which he wears underneath a black zip-up jacket with long sleeves. For his lower body he dons a pair of black combat leggings, with a thigh pouch on each thigh, a baggy pouch on his back pocket on the left and finally a senbon pouch strapped around his right ankle. He's also known to wear round silver earrings on both ears, as well as silver rings on both ring fingers.

Personality:
  • General: At first glance, Kotaro can come across as lazy and conforming. His nonchalant attitude and apparent penchant for daydreaming make most write him off as disinterested and under-achieving. However, it is when one takes the time to pay more attention that his true personality comes out. Kotaro is a humble person, very careful to not let his ego drive him to harmful actions. He makes an active effort to take other people's feelings and convictions into consideration before making decisions. One of his favourite hobbies consists in helping out his neighbours and other people he encounters, because he believes that The Will of Fire is what makes Konoha truly special and thus tries to live by its principles. Furthermore, while proud of his achievements, he does not necessarily wish for fame, glory or high ranks as a shinobi. He believes that while his career is important, so are his family, friends and personal interests, and is careful to try and maintain a balance between the different aspects of his life.
    The equilibrium that he's managed to achieve between hard-work, leisure and presence in community have made it so that while fairly capable in all areas of a ninja's expertise, he does not truly specialize or excel at any of them.

  • Combat Mentality:While inexperienced, Kotaro's mindstate in a situation of conflict is reasonably calm and collected. He makes use of his versatility in all three ninja arts to probe his enemies to measure and pressure them into making a mistake or falling into a trap. He tends to prefer a fight at a distance, making use of his Flawless Aim knowledge while also keeping himself a safe length away from an opponent.

Katon Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.
Passive (Ignition)Show
Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

The fundamental skill of [Projectile Weapons] indicates the user’s proficiency with weapons designed to attack from afar, such as bows, shuriken, senbon, launchers and the like. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.

Sight Initiation:
This user has learned to use visual cues to initiate genjutsu. Allowing them to perform actions, or draw the eyes to something to capture their targets in a genjutsu.
Sound Initiation:
This user has learn to use sound cues to initiate genjutsu. Allowing them to create sounds and sustain sounds to capture their targets in a genjutsu.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will focus chakra into their mouths and into up to five senbon within 10 meters of their position. The senbon will be summoned from their persons or nearby into the user's mouth, where they will be spit out aided by chakra at [Control] Strength and Speed. The senbon can be shot up to 10 meters away.

After channeling chakra into one of their fists, the user will then attempt to strike their target and if successful, they will release additional concussive force in the form of an outward explosion with [Control] Strength from their fist. If the user does not strike a target within 3 posts the jutsu dissipates.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will coat one of their hairs in chakra. Once this has been done, they will place it on their target. The user can track the exact location of the strand of hair for up to 10 meters. For up to 20 meters out, the user can track a rough location. From then out to 100 meters, the user just gets a general direction of where the opponent is. The chakra in the hair will dissipate at the end of 6 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals the user causes a thin 3x3x1 meter flat barrier to form within 10 meters of them at [Control] Speed and has [Control] Strength. It lasts for 3 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small ball of flame directly in front of them. The ball lights up the surrounding area in a 10 meter radius and requires Strength greater than [Control] to destroy. Unless destroyed, it will stay locked in it's location for 5 posts before fading.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user runs their hands alongside a potential fuel, once they take their fingers off everything the ran their hand over will ignite, the flame burning at [Control] Strength. Potentially useful in avoiding wildfires, having fueles for a fire used against them.

*Katon • Heated Blade
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling katon chakra into a metal weapon or blade, the user will cause it to grow hotter and cover the blade in flames. The imbued weapon will be able to carve through defenses of [Control] or less strength with ease.

By channeling katon chakra into any item, the user will turn it into a ticking time bomb. Either when 3 posts are up or when activated through the use of Chakra Kai, the object will explode, releasing all the katon chakra in it in a [Control strength explosion and scattering flames in the immediate area.

Users attempt to overwhelm defenses with great speed and strength while chipping away at their opponent’s endurance and keeping their own at the highest possible. A neutral stance taken by even entry level practitioners. This stance involves turning your body to be perpendicular to your opponent. One foot is rested directly in front of the other with just the toes in contact with the ground. A hand is held back while the other is forward, pointing up. This stance provides ease of dodging incoming blows by using the least amount of motion possible while still being ready to launch into an attack.

In this technique, the user builds momentum and speed in order to bridge the gap between themselves and a distanced target. After covering an appropriate distance, the user then lets loose a form of distraction, like a thrown object, in order to misdirect the target's attention. The user then leaps with their momentum, delivering a strong kick to bridge the rest of the distance.

Because distances tend to become the problem in most taijutsu, the practitioner will advance with every strike. This creates a tempo of advancement that is designed to wear down their opponent through ever pressing strikes, giving little chance for escape or recovery.

When fighting in close quarters it becomes difficult to generate energy for full powered strikes. Practitioners have learned how to explode force from every muscle with minimal energy wasted and space needed. Every strike done by the practitioner has the potential to be at full strength, so long as they have at least one inch of movement.

This style of combat is favored by shinobi preferring to use projectiles, often serving as a staple for ranged taijutsu users. Focusing on the synergy between their hands and senses, they strive to make their lethal skills reach as far as possible with absolute precision.

Taking multiple projectiles into hand and priming the muscle groups required for launching projectile weapons, the practitioner can quickly shoot projectiles in rapid succession and just as quickly reload. While in this Stance, the practitioner can maintain a near-constant stream of projectile attacks. However, due to the amount of coordination required for this Stance, their movement is limited, suffering a -3 Speed penalty while in this Stance.

After years of training, the practitioner has learned how to quickly and accurately access their ranged weapon stores at all times in combat. This cuts the effective "reload" time by half, up to a maximum speed equal to the practitioner's Speed score. This also applies to returning unused projectiles to their storage containers or switching between types of projectile weaponry.

D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner has learned how to read an opponent's movements and adjust their aim accordingly to compensate without penalty. This Discipline allows the practitioner to accurately hit moving targets, though sudden changes in the opponent's movements will still affect accuracy.

After much training and study, the practitioner has learned how to use projectiles at close range, even point-blank range, with the same Strength as attacks against more distant targets. This Discipline allows the practitioner to use Flawless Aim techniques against melee-range targets without excessive exposure to counterattack and without losing Speed, Strength, or accuracy.

Preparing multiple projectiles, the practitioner launches each of the projectiles at one or more targets. For each target beyond the first, the accuracy of each of the attacks is decreased, suffering a -1 Strength penalty for each additional target.

The practitioner can launch projectiles in arcs up and over most obstacles, being able to accurately hit a target that is behind obstructions as if they were in the open. The practitioner must still be able to locate their target by some other means to ensure the projectile will hit its target.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner launches a projectile at a shallow angle, targeting the ground or a hard surface. The shallow angle of the shot causes the projectile to bounce off of the surface, moving at -1 Speed and striking with -1 Strength after the bounce. This technique can be used to launch an attack from an unexpected angle or to shoot around, over, or under obstacles.

The user will do a series of hand seals, then whistle. Anyone who hears the whistle will be captured in this genjutsu. For the following 4 posts, the target will see a shadow in the corner of their eyes, constantly shifting out of view when they attempt to look at it.

D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then within the next post, snap their fingers. Anyone who hears the snapping will hear an explosion in the distance behind them. This works as an effective distraction, or a scare tactic, if properly utilized.

History

Born to Morishige Kazuya and Shirohana Orihime, Kotaro was blessed with the luck of coming into the world in Konoha. While not rich, he was certainly not poor either and he enjoyed a childhood of little worry and no shortage of love from his parents. Despite being a ninja, his father's duties as a Chuunin did not keep him away from his family enough for him to be absent in the evenings, and his days were spent with his mother and grandmother as he helped them with the family's flower shop.
At the age of six he was blessed with a baby sister, Tatsuhime. Unlike most of his peers, however, he saw this as something good and immediately took up the responsability of loving and protecting her with all his heart. That same year, he joined the ninja academy, deadset on becoming a powerful and beloved shinobi like his own father.
It was three years later that his second sibling Kazuki was born, which only made him double his efforts in graduating and becoming a professional ninja to help his parents raise the child.
At the age of twelve, he celebrated with his family and caring neighbours the day of his graduation, happy to enter the ranks of the military.
