- Face/head: Soft features often have him mistaken for a girl with pale skin and soft skin in this prepubescent stage of his life. His eyes shine with a bright emerald green color, almost glowing upon closer inspection. Jubei's hair is pure white, medium length and falls about his head without reaching his shoulders in a rather unkempt manner.
- Body: Fit for his age, he showns sign of muscle definition. While his body doesn't reflect his strength properly, it hides his physical prowess like many shinobi who don't look nearly as strong as they are. Given his path on the way to becoming a shinobi is just beginning, he lacks blemishes that would stand out. His hands however are starting to develop callouses from practicing with a sword on a daily basis.

Garbed in white robes, Jubei looks like he's about to take a stroll to a local temple rather than engage in combat. A young man who has taken his training of iaido to a more personal level, he follows teachings of his chosen path and finds traditions are something he's comfortable making the cornerstone of his shinobi life. As such, his taste in clothing reflects this as he wears yukata, kimonos, dogi, hakama for the most part. Usually, he wears black for a base layer with white as an outer layer as witnessed by the black that peeks out from under his clothes constantly. Upon his feet he wears sandals of a sturdy, traditional make over the shinobi footwear commonly seen. The only modern piece of clothing on his person seems to be the pair of gloves on his hand with the index fingers, pinky fingers, and thumbs all exposed. Around his waist is a special obi holding his robes in place that has pouches and pockets sewn into it to hold his shinobi tools.
Personality:
- General: Jubei is surprisingly mature for his age. Understanding the purpose of shinobi, the inherent risks of their job as they get older, and the size of the shadow he is currently standing in. Level headed and curious, he seeks to obtain knowledge in the way of the sword. He doesn't define himself by his father's deeds(or misdeeds in some cases). Jubei tries to put himself out there as a stoic individual but that veneer can easily crack to let his emotions out, be them joy or anger. A strong sense of justice, he tries to walk the upstanding path of a swordsman in service to the people. He is clearly a romantic at heart and is willing to help anyone in need of a hand.
- Hopes/Dreams: Jubei has always had a fascination with the way of the swordsmen. His mother Isane read him bed stories of swordsmen, he often watched people training when he passed the academy to visit his father at work. The path of a swordsmen holds a romanticism to it that attracts him, his love for it only growing as he began to study iaido as he entered the academy. While his father is renowned for his skills with iijutsu, Jubei wishes to be compared to his father in a different sense. He wants to be known for his skill with a sword as much as Saigo is known for his skill with a scalpel.
- Fears: With the reality of having a father like Saigo, Jubei fears it will hold him back in some way, shape, or form. Be it the reputation of his father's status before coming to Konoha, the fact that Jubei being born before his family was even recognized officially as residents of Konoha, the list goes on. Jubei's strong sense of justice also makes him fear having to make a sacrifice in the name of any greater good.
- Combat Mentality: Outside of spars and practice, Jubei has no practical combat experience and is still discovering his method of maintaining a level head in battle. When something unexpected happens, he is often caught off guard, but otherwise tries to keep his cool and focus on fighting. He often relies on focusing his breathing and tuning out anything that isn't his opponent, which has been an exploitable aspect in the academy, but he's learning to overcome it little by little. A growing young ninja, he has a long way to go in learning how to fight properly.

Under the tutelage of his father, Jubei has learned to control these anchors. This allows Jubei to materialize his chakra into a rigid construct that he imposes his will upon, making it move at his discretion like it was an extension of his being. While active, his eyes will visibly change as the pupils split down the middle in three and have an appearance similar to a three-petal flower as it makes his eyes prominently glow. Iaido Kenjutsu
The samurai of the Land of Tea have produced a unique style of Kenjutsu called Iaido. Unlike other styles, which rely on the sword being drawn to attack, a practitioner of Iaido is always ready to attack their opponents, even when their weapon is sheathed in its scabbard. Known as a "sword drawing" technique, Iaido uses the smooth, linear motion of pulling the sword from its sheath to create abnormally fast slashes and strikes against often ignorant and unsuspecting opponents. Though the katana is preferred for this style, any curved sword single-edged sword with a complimenting scabbard is compatible with this style. Their ability to fight with both traditional swordplay and hand-to-hand combat while perfectly capable of switching to quick slashes and stabs using Iaido's hallmark techniques makes practitioners of this style unpredictable fighters.

Born within the walls of Konoha shortly after his mother, Isane, and his father, Saigo, came to the village to offer aid in the wake of an attack. As an infant, he didn't know the struggle his father went through to prove himself a changed man. Instead, he remembers the man in a light few others had ever seen. Isane and Saigo raised Jubei while sheltering him from the village outside their home, trying to remain private for the first few years as Saigo worried about revenge due to his connections with the group that had attacked Konoha. After seeing that they were safe, Jubei was taken into the village with his mother and saw what his family's new home was like.
