【General Information】

Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Kaori is rather fair skinned with only a light tan to her skin. Her eyes are a brilliant cerulean blue inherited from her father. Her hair is long and brown. She typically keeps it long and loose, but also keeps a hair tie or similar handy to put it up quickly if she needs to for a fight or otherwise. Her face shape itself is reminiscent of her mother's diamond shape, with long dark eyelashes. She almost never wears makeup.
  • Body: The young woman is very lean in her build, the more feminine aspects of her form only just starting to blossom into the light curves that will later define her figure. For now she still appears somewhere between child and adult in her form. She's beginning to show signs of muscle in her arms and legs, maintaining a lean figure mostly for her own current age and high metabolism of childhood.
  • Notable Features:Her vibrant eyes stand out the most, though she has no tattoos at this time. She does however have double earlobe piercings.
Clothing/Accessories: Kaori wears a black spaghetti strap shirt that comes up and ties behind her neck on a cloth black collar accent. She also wears dark shorts that go down to her mid-thigh, as well as black thigh high leggings with a lace accent that come up just a few inches shy of meeting her shorts, but with straps that come up under her shorts to attach to them and hold them in place.
Personality:
  • General: Kaori does her best to be a fairly upbeat young woman, a smile ever on her face in spite of family and village losses in recent years. She adores her family and those close to her family, to her there is almost nothing more important. She is fiercely protective, with a temper of her own that tends to simmer for a long time before flashing at full power.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Her Dream is to be as strong as her Father, and as Unique as any clan member in spite of being clanless herself.
  • Fears: She fears inadequacy.
  • Combat Mentality: Kaori is a very in your face fighter, preferring to get in close to do damage, while deflecting blows just as she's giving them. Though she is not incapable of distance damage as well with ninjutsu to supplement her styles as well.

【History】 Natsuki Kaori grew up in a life rich with family. She and her twin brother Hyuuga Takeshi were born the year their father, Natsuki Takeo, became Hokage, as well as the same year he had married their mother, Hyuuga Aina. By time the twins were born, they already had a plethora of siblings. Before their well-known parents were married, their mother had already adopted Hyuuga Kotaro and Hyuuga Hanako. Kotaro was someone no one in the family really got a chance to bond with, the boy being so close to adulthood already and moving on quickly, but Hanako was raised alongside the rest of the family and helped raise Kaori just as an older sister would, helping to guide her in the early stages of her life. In addition, there was also their older brother Harukatsu Yozei, who had been born to another woman before Takeo and Aina had come together. Though the difficulties of his introduction to the family likely came when Kaori was too young to understand them, Kaori latched onto her older brother quickly and she valued him greatly. She was quite close to him, almost as close as she was to her own twin.

Of course she had even more extended family! Her aunt Ayame, her father's younger sister, and her grandmother who is of the Inuzuka clan, Takami who happens to train ninken. Kaori would spend time sneaking away for time with the pups when she could, and still does from time to time. Her grandfather Natsuki Isamu, as a hunter was instrumental in helping Kaori learn how to hunt herself from an early age. And though her mother's own older brothers were no strangers, they simply didn't take the same interest in Kaori as they did in her twin brother, simply for her lack of Byakugan. While the lack of interest wasn't likely intentional, it wasn't unnoticed by the young kunoichi. And of course there was also their "unrelated" aunt Inuzuka Masami who often spent time with Kaori given her close relationship with her mother, Aina.

Kaori grew up not just loved in this diverse family dynamic, but also well traveled. She went to tournaments even at a young age where she saw, for example, her brother Yozei go up against Henrin Kiyori in the Star Country tournament, a shinobi from Suna who also turned out to be a close family friend. As time went on however, she not only traveled with family, she watched her own family travel more and more for their own shinobi duties and life began to shift and change. Her brother Yozei moved away and took on duties with the other half of his family, leaving Kaori feeling abandoned by her brother. Her sister Hanako married and moved out of the home. During the war she was camping with her twin brother and grandfather, only to be ambushed by Kiri forces and their grandfather died to protect the two of them.

Taking on her life now as a Genin, Kaori has gone from the safe and secure family life she has known to suddenly thrust into the life of a shinobi that she had always thought she was ready for, but the realities of war have left her worried for her family.

【Blue Butterfly Swarm】

Description: The Butterflies of this swarm are a vibrant blue with little black bodies and black trim around their wings. These little creatures are kept on Kaori's person, clinging to the folds of a cloak she wears and often mistaken for decor of the cloak itself unless they start moving and fluttering about.
Personality: As a whole these butterflies are oddly loyal little creatures. They stick to their owner, a loyalty earned through careful feeding of favorite plants and homes made of flowers and similar favors granted over time. Time spent together has garnered an oddly strong and silent relationship. There are no named individuals as of yet though there are two or three who refuse to leave their owner's side at all and can almost always be seen fluttering around the girl no matter where she is or who she is with, even if the only way they can cling to her side is to hide in a strand of hair.

Poisonous Pollinators:
Having fed on poisonous plants for the entire time of their development, this Blue Butterfly Swarm has absorbed the toxins of the plant into their systems and become poisonous themselves. Through the enhancements of chakra exposure they have begun to produce a light dusting of powder along their wings and legs not unlike the pollen they often collect accidentally from flowers. This powder carries the same poison the butterflies house within their own bodies and may be deposited by the butterflies.
Poison Description: The poison of these pollinators is both touch and aerosol based, its effect ranging from general nausea to vertigo and vomiting. The table below shows these effects in full detail.

History: In all her time spent hunting and camping in the woods, Kaori found herself often followed by these blue butterflies. At first it seemed like an odd coincidence but soon she found a handful of them always seemed to be waiting for her at her favorite campsites. Eventually she picked and potted a plant they seemed to favor and brought it home, with a couple of the butterflies staying with it for the ride. Over time the group grew, and she found herself with a new group of friends. It was an odd relationship that slowly began to blossom into something mutually beneficial, and especially useful for the young Kunoichi.

Katon Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.

Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

Kūgāpou Style:
This taijutsu style is all about avoidance, with grace. In this style, the user may slap away blades, thrown weapons, and other objects, all in the interests of preserving one's self. However, this style isn't necessarily about avoiding all damage, so much as avoiding the worst damage. In instances where the user is going against an opponent they can't match, they may use this style to avoid fatal injuries and instead receive less serious injuries and live to fight a bit longer, or even another day.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

After using Down Paw to drive the opponent’s blade downward or into the ground, the practitioner will rush forward and ram their shoulder into the opponent, driving them back and away from their weapon or even taking the weapon from them outright.

Whenever in a situation where they can't avoid being struck, the practitioner will slightly shift their body. This slight movement allows them to cause the incoming attack to miss any vital organs and cause as little damage as possible.
Toryu - TaijutsuShow
Toryu:
Toryu, a style of Kenjutsu founded in the Land of Pebbles, melds traditional kenjutsu swordplay with subversive feints and sudden bursts of close-quarters combat, two unyielding hills crashing together to form a mountain. Toryu typically favors the use of the blade with one hand, utilizing the freedom of movement to use one's hands, joints, legs, head, and even the hilt and handle of the sword to make an already deadly style more unpredictable and more lethal. Ignorantly considered a very "unrefined" style by most practitioners of the sword, Toryu is actually one of the most difficult styles of Kenjutsu to learn and master. The very basic premise of the style revolves around the firm control and manipulation of one's own movements and body, some techniques requiring execution while using another attack as a feint or misdirection while not sacrificing strength. The style has no weapon requirements outside of a sword, but many users often prefer kodachi, wakizashi, ninjato, or even tanto, the reduced size and weight of the blades having fewer blind spots and making the user's weapon more mobile.

D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.

Showing a complete dedication to her weapon's every aspect from dimensions, weight, balance, traditional, and non-traditional uses Kaori has become overly familiar with every aspect of her weapon. Every part of it becomes useful and even deadly in her hands, to the point that she may use it in her non-dominant hand as expertly as if it were her dominant hand as well.

C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A defensive technique done when Kaori has a bladed weapon in hand. Adjusting the angle of her weapon accordingly she can deflect an incoming projectile in order to strike another target or accurately angle the weapon for a particular designation. Deflected projectiles travels at 2/3 of its original speed and the speed of the projectile must be equal to or lower than Kaori’s Speed stat in order to deflect it with any kind of accuracy.

Krav Maga Style:
Krav maga is an eclectic style that combines aspects of kick-boxing, jiu-jitsu and wrestling and applies them to realistic fight training. It is known for its versatility in real world situations and it’s extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks. The philosophy emphasizes threat neutralization, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggression. Students of this style aim to finish a fight as quickly as possible, aiming attacks at the most vulnerable points of the body, often causing serious injury.

Ideas in Krav Maga include:
  • Counter attacking as soon as possible (or attacking pre-emptively).
  • Targeting attacks to the body's most vulnerable points, such as: the eyes, neck/throat, face, solar plexus, groin, ribs, knee, foot, fingers, etc.
  • Maximum effectiveness and efficiency in order to neutralize the opponent as quickly as possible.
  • Maintaining awareness of surroundings while dealing with the threat in order to look for escape routes, further attackers, objects that could be used to defend or help attack, and so on.
  • Mental readiness for enduring hostage/capture situations while always looking for an opportunity to escape and neutralize threats.

[Krav Maga • Redirect]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A basic skill for the Krav maga style, Redirect is used mostly against stabbing attacks or straight on punches, though it can be employed against other types of attacks if need be, albeit with less expected success depending on the situation. When an attack comes close to her, she will bring her arm across her body, aiming to connect her palm with the side of the attack, usually a wrist or the shaft of a spear or something of the like. Unless the opponent's strength is higher than the user's strength, the attack will be directed to the side, often opening the opponent up to attack.

[Krav Maga • Throw]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This simple technique requires control of one of the opponents arms, then by placing herself in front of the opponent Kaori uses the leverage gained by the trapped arm to lift the opponent onto her back and flip them over her shoulder, causing them to slam into the ground. Often Kaori secures her other hand somewhere on the opponent’s body in order to prevent them from side-stepping or sliding off of her back during the throw. Throughout the throw Kaori keeps the trapped arm secure allowing her to easily follow up the move with an arm bar. This whole process has been drilled so many times that it literally takes less than a second to perform. If the opponent is stronger than the user they can resist this technique.

[Krav Maga • Foot Hook]
D-rank Taijutsu Maneuver
This handy, technique is also quite simple in nature. Essentially it is a proficiency Kaori has learned from her father to be able to hook tables, chairs, branches etc... with her feet. This serves a variety of purposes, namely to quickly pull objects towards herself, throwing them between herself and her opponent or knocking them over for defensive purposes and also used to help stabilize herself or serve other simple purposes.

[Krav Maga • Toss and Catch]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
After many hours of honing this skill Kaori has come to a point where she is able to throw up to two objects she’s holding up into the air and then form seals or perform a brief fight sequence before catching the item or weapon again. As long as Kaori doesn’t move more than 10 meters from her position she can accurately predict where the item will land and catch it in time. The height of the thrown item varies depending on how much time is needed to execute the maneuver. Of course, if her opponents prove especially resilient or if she is forced to drastically alter her planned movements then this technique can be interrupted.

[Krav Maga • The Art of Rolling]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A fundamental skill for Kaori’s more deadly and unpredictable maneuvers, through rigorous practice a user can perfect the skill of rolling, serving a variety of purposes. This particular style of rolling focuses on fast paced combat, used offensively or defensively the user can seamlessly drop low into a roll, forwards, backwards or sideways from a standing or running start or even in response to being forcefully shoved backwards. Naturally due to the high amounts of force the user must be adept at dispersing the impact of the roll, this is done by dropping into a squat, then distributing the impact momentarily at the knee then across each shoulder in quick succession.

[Krav Maga • Elbow strikes]
D-rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A vicious close-range tactic, Kaori has incorporated the use of her elbows to deadly efficiency. Once in close range Kaori can lash out with elbow strikes from a multitude of angles at a rapid pace. Due to the ferocity of the strikes and the density of the elbow it is quite common to cause deep cuts to the face and if Kaori's strength is 5 or more higher than her opponents she can easily crack an opponent’s jaw or break their nose. These strikes are especially deadly if the opponent has been brought into a clinch and have either their head or arm trapped.

[Krav Maga • Knee strikes]
D-rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple yet devastating method of attacking. Typically used when in some sort of clinch Kaori will unleash a vicious assault of knee strikes, attacking the stomach, kidneys, groin, or face in varying combinations. Depending on where the opponent is struck if Kaori’s strength is 5 or more higher than her opponents these strikes are quite capable of cracking ribs or even doing moderate internal damage.

Katon • Flaming Crescent Slash
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Channeling Katon chakra into a bladed weapon the metal will produce a thin aura of flame along the blade. When the user makes a strike with the weapon, they can then release a 3-meter-long, 0.5 meter thick crescent of fire which then travels at a speed and strength equal to the users [Control]. The base distance this arc of flames travels is 10 meters.

After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a 1 foot diameter fireball at the opponent. It travels up to 15 meters away at [Control] speed and strength.

Katon • Torch
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small ball of flame directly in front of them. The ball lights up the surrounding area in a 15 meter radius and requires Strength greater than [Control] to destroy. Unless destroyed, it will stay locked in it's location for 5 posts before fading.

Katon • Seeking Fireflies
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Pre-requisite: Katon • Torch
Any time after having formed the ball of flame using Katon • Torch, the same user may use a simple 'kai' to trigger this follow up technique and cause the same fireball to suddenly burst into over two dozen literal fireflies that seek out a single target of the user's discretion. They fly at a speed equal to the user's [Control] to swarm the target and burn on contact, they can travel a distance from the original Torch up to 15 meters.

Katon • Flickering Sparks
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After channeling Katon chakra through her chest and into her mouth Kaori will exhale, producing a breath of hundreds of minuscule Katon sparks. These sparks while only capable of minor first degree burns can easily set aflame combustible materials. The maximum range of this technique is 10ft and they travel at a speed of 5.

C-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling katon chakra into their body, the user can store this charged katon chakra for up to 5 posts before releasing a burst of flame around their entire body, coming outwards from them. This sphere of roiling fire pushes outward with Strength and Speed equal to the user’s control. The flames extend up to 25 meters from the user at their discretion, able to be reduced to a shorter range to conserve chakra. Due to the fire pushing outward the user remains unharmed.

Katon • Searing Vanguards
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Utilizing the properties of Katon and Chakra infusion Kaori can heat her bracers while coating her skin in a protective layer of chakra, causing the metal to glow red-orange. The immense heat radiating from the guards are enough to burn through most flammable materials as well as cause burns, strength of the burn is based on the User's [Control]. Prolonged contact with weapons will also heat them, potentially damaging opponents weapons with repeated strikes. This technique can last for a maximum of 4 posts.

Katon • Meteor Punch Technique
C-Rank Nintaijutsu
After channeling chakra the user will flood their entire fist with Katon chakra. As they do this, their hand will be engulfed in searing hot flames, strength of the burn is based on the User's [Control]. They will then put all of their body weight and force into a single punch, but as they complete this initial attack the flames engulfing the user’s hand will explode violently forward. The blast is very limited in range however, only extending forward about six inches and if it's not used within a post of initiating the technique it will fizzle out, wasting chakra.
